Cedaredge Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Cedaredge

This is a "New England style" Beach Cottage only it's missing the beach. Located within town and in a quiet neighborhood. There are many cafe's and breakfast places to enjoy. In town we have an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, plenty of hiking and fishing, site-seeing, camping, skiing, snowmobiling and other recreational activities up on the Grand Mesa. We are also located two doors from the town park, a great place for an evening stroll.
I also have parking at the rear if preferred which is still close to cottage rear entrance.
The town park is a short walk close by where during the summer months at times concerts are held which can be heard from the site. Our once-a-year event is "AppleFest" held the 1st weekend of October in the park and throughout the town.
• This is a beautiful beach cottage. Very welcoming and nice to stay in. The decorations were fun and it felt like a "tiny house" that are so popular now. Everything we needed was available and even things we didn't need. Like an iron, blow dryer, microwave, DVD, VHS VCR, and dishes.... the AC kept us nice and cool. It was private when we wanted it to be. The bed was great. I think it's a full size. The doorway into the room is up a few stairs and I believe the opening is 6 feet tall. Since I'm short I didn't notice but if you are over 6 feet tall just remember to duck before entering. The cottage was nice and quiet and we only heard ourselves making noise. It's located at the end of a long driveway that was great to park the truck in. Check in and out were quick and simple. Judi was available for us if we needed her right next door. I'd recommend her beach cottage and plan to stay here each time we come into town. It was wonderful. .

• The "beach house" was adorable and the location was perfect for walking to town.

• Anyone wanting a central place to stay that has wonderful privacy and great hosts, should stay here. The old farmhouse was so nice as was having an orchard on one side and a vineyard on the other side. All in a very private setting and very dog friendly. Jonna and Luke were so caring and compassionate when we had some dog health issues and needed a vet. If it had not been for this place and the comfort we felt, our experience with these issues would have been very hard. As it was, this great place and the hosts made it all bearable and comfortable. Definitely consider staying here. We LOVED IT and WILL be back.

• Our stay was wonderful! We decided last minute to travel out of town for my mother's birthday and were fortunate enough to find this lovely house. Jonna and Luke are the nicest people ever. We arrived to a batch of yummy muffins, a bottle of wine, and a birthday card, all for my mom. The house is very spacious and they have added all of the touches to make it feel like home. The property is beautiful! It was very quiet and relaxing. Jonna, Luke, and their sweet dogs made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay and plan to go again!

• Great farm style house with a modern twist. Hosts were great.

Andrew2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
• My husband and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend outside of the city. And we received just that! We had a late check in-- like really late-- and Luke and Jonna were totally cool with it! Both mornings there, we were made a delicious breakfast (thanks, Jonna!) and we ate outside on the patio. We enjoyed listening to "nothing" except the sounds of nature and the working orchard! We stopped at a few wineries, but overall spent a ton of time at the farmhouse because we loved it so much. They also let us bring our fur-baby, Audi! They even let her out to potty while we were away for a couple hours. Stay here. You will not regret it! We can't wait to come back.

Alison2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
• The house was a great fit for what we were looking for, it was close to the family we were visiting and had plenty of room. The hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Shanti2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
• We had an excellent time here!! Location was great and Jonna/Luke are some of the best people/Airbnb hosts you could ask for. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the property, orchards, and would love to see it in the spring blossom season. Great proximity to Gunnison black canyon, Grand Mesa, and skiing on the other side of the Mesa. Also a great spot to just escape and chill. Fun dog company if you want. Breakfasts included in the price! We also arranged for Jonna to make dinners and a dessert which were excellent and made the trip extra special. Would be a great spot for a group retreat/event or just a quiet couples get-away. Memory foam bed was very comfortable! We would 100% stay here again and am already trying to figure out how to come back.

• Truly one of the best travel experiences I have had. I have to travel a lot for work and end up staying in all kinds of hotels and b&b type place. And now I can consider myself truly lucky to have found the farmhouse and Jonna and Luke. If you are into fast pace opulence

Luke 2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
• Luke and Jonna are the best hosts ever! They were there for us whenever we needed anything and paid so much attention to my grandkids. They are so knowledgeable about the area too. Perfect for family stays - beautiful beyond words. The house is so cute and comfortable. We can't wait to return.

The Rosie Knight Ranch is nestled on 17 acres on the southern slope of Grand Mesa with access to fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, ATVs, and horseback riding. We are within a 2-hour drive of Glenwood Springs, Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway, the Black Canyon National Park, and the Utah border. The residence is an 800 sq. ft., fully furnished apartment separate from the main house and up a flight of stairs. The balcony features a stunning view of the Grand Mesa.
We have horses, dogs, and chickens on the property. The Rosie Knight Ranch lies in the heart of Cherry, Peaches, Apples, Sweet Corn, and Wine country, with multiple organic farms and orchards in the surrounding areas.
Very rural; a few scattered homes nearby. Our favorite neighbors are deer, elk, raptors, wild turkeys, and the occasional coyote or fox.
• The Knight's are very good hosts. The view was amazing, and the porch was adorable with the string lights. Breakfast was delicious, everything was so fresh! They even left us coffee and fruit to snack on. The bathroom was stocked with all the amenities, along with a washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable. Despite it snowing, it was very warm. When leaving, he gave us directions to our destination on a beautiful scenic drive. Plus, avoiding winter storms. We are definitely coming back and telling our Friends.

Nat2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
• The apartment was exactly as described! We enjoyed visiting with the host, being able to do load of laundry, walking out to the tipi, watching the horses & dogs! The bed was extremely comfortable and so was the patio chairs ( the view is amazing)! Hope to come back to visit again..and stay longer next time!

• This was our second stay and as before it was GREAT. Very quiet, relaxed, country atmosphere. Unit is very spacious with wonderful views. Beds were extremely comfortable, as was the entire unite. Cool and comfortable in the evenings which made for good sleeping. We will be back!!

• Craig and I appreciated having Christine and Dave's place as a place to rest and rewind. We are in the middle of a move here to Cedaredge and stayed at their place while our house was being finished. We loved our stay and appreciated the beautiful views as well as the peace and quiet.

Cynthia2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
• The three elements of a great AirBnB are location, property, and a good host, and Dave & Christine succeeded on all three points! (And the value was absolutely unbeatable!) The space was perfect -- a full kitchen, good WiFi, and private laundry made our stay so comfortable. The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a great stay. We enjoyed exploring Cedaredge, including the downtown winery and brewery, several restaurants in town, and the nearby Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The views from the property and the surrounding mesa were phenomenal. And Dave and Christine were warm, accommodating, and helpful hosts! We would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling through southwest Colorado, or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home.

• Carroll and Maura went above and beyond for us. We arrived considerably later than we expected and Carroll was friendly, helpful, polite and willing to show us around the place. Refrigerator was fully stocked and we even had a choice of locally baked muffins, fresh fruit and Maura's homemade cherry preserves. Space was as pleasant has the hosts. This one is a "choice" stop if you are in the area. We wish we could have stayed longer.

• Carroll and Maura have created a wonderful place to stay at the edge of Cedaredge. The apartment is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the welcome is warm, and the details are thought out. We saw several deer on the property, which was also cool. Definitely recommend!

• Great place with great views!

Clint2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
• Caroll and Maura were amazing hosts. They were friendly, hospitable and gave us great recommendations on what to do throughout the area. The fridge was stocked with amazing goodies and homemade jam for breakfast, the place was clean, and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. They welcomed 5 of us as well as our 5 pound toy poodle. I highly recommend staying at the Inn on the Other Side!

Gabrielle2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
• We were warmly greeted by Maura, who welcomed us with delicious scones. The inn was very clean and comfortable. Maura was a great host, and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Alexandra2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
• Carroll's house is about 20 minutes or so from Grand Mesa, we were on this trip to cross country and skate ski. Really nice spacious house, and included were all sorts of extras really nice extras like homemade soaps and a great selection of spices in the kitchen. We would rent again, definitely.

Lissa2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
• I cannot say enough great things about this place! Maura and Carrell were both awesome. Friendly, welcoming and helpful. On a trip last year, I stayed up on Grand Mesa and paid $10 less for about 1/3 of the space! Inn on the other side is not on the mesa but a short ten minute drive and you are. Plus you have so much to do in Cedaredge. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast pastries and restocked half way through our stay! The space was very clean and both beds were very comfortable. Living room has satellite television but it didn't get watched very much. This really is an awesome place and I highly recommend it to anyone.

• The house was lovely!! The stars were spectacular. Our hosts were there when we arrived and the house was stocked with farm fresh eggs, homemade strawberry bread, milk, cream, fresh whole bean coffee, fresh picked fruit, homemade jams, freshly baked bread....even a bottle of local wine! The next day Jan surprised us with a homemade peach pie, even the crust was from scratch. Our hosts gave us a tour of the vineyards & their beautiful home. The beds were comfortable & the babbling brook was SO relaxing, just wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts went above & beyond the call of duty when their wifi wasn't working in the cottage and brought our son up to their home so he could complete an online test. We would highly recommend a visit and are planning to return in the future.

Gretchen 2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
• It's difficult to put into words how incredible our stay with Jan and Don was. They made us feel like a part of their family from the moment we booked. We were showered with delicious treats homemade by Jan, special home amenities, local-area advice, knowledge and experiences (from numerous domains!), and whatever we needed to adjust to the high altitude, semi-arid climate and feel right at home. It's obvious why guests come back time and time again and in fact often end up forming a deep friendship with the hosts. You can see for 30-100 miles across Colorado mesas, mountains, valleys, and plains. The guest house is impeccable, and situated on a little creek which runs through their property, keeping the area cool. Looking through the artifacts and resources found throughout the house, the hosts' love of culture and history becomes clear. As you get to know them a little, another thing becomes very clear - Don and Jan have a very true love for nature, for people, and for living. There are so many things I could write about the accommodation itself, but it would probably be better to leave it for you to experience. I'll simply say you really can't go wrong staying here. Do be aware that, as their farm is in the Colorado country, fiber internet has not made its way to the guest house yet (but will soon), and you will not have as saturated cell coverage as you would in a city. But internet and cell access are available, and you will be compensated a hundred-fold in the sights, smells, tastes, stories, local activities you'll experience, and the comfort in which you'll stay. I thought a line from one entry in the guest book summed it up nicely: "The only drawback to staying at Cedargate is that you'll eventually have to leave." Highly recommended. And we'll definitely be returning to see everyone. :)

Paul2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
• During our visit; we enjoyed the local Little Britches rodeo, caught a foul-ball at the Junior College World Series, enjoyed a number of wine tastings, toured the Colorado National Monument, and explored the Grand Mesa. Jan’s house was the perfect base for these activities. Each morning began with coffee on the front porch being serenaded by vast variety of birds, viewing deer grazing in the adjoining pasture and then beyond an amazing snowcapped mountain vista. The house was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen included a well-stocked refrigerator and pantry with farm fresh eggs and homemade jellies and muffins. The local restaurateur community was eclectic and we were directed to a number of nice dining experiences. Jan provided all needed equipment so we also enjoyed preparing our own barbeque dinner. I left the best to last; Jan and her husband are the most gracious and considerate hosts possible and we immensely enjoyed morning talk and coffee with them in their vineyard. A special experience.

George 2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
• The most amazing experience thus far with Air B&B. Jan was so lovely and went so above and beyond. I enjoyed meeting her and her husband as much as I enjoyed their beautiful guest home.

Erin2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
• Wow - this is place is a true gem! We were looking for a relaxing getaway and this house was perfect. We spent our days exploring the Grand Mesa and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison before returning here to eat dinner by the creek that runs along the back of the house. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful home base from which to explore the Western Slope, this is the place for you. The house was stocked with pretty much everything we needed (fresh eggs, fruit, coffee, milk, homemade jams, etc.), was immaculately clean when we arrived, and is situated on a property with gorgeous views. Additionally, Jan and Don were amazing hosts - so welcoming and generous with their time. We really couldn't have asked for anything more from them or this house. We can't wait to return at some point!

Mari2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
• The home is located in an idyllic setting on a mesa overlooking a panoramic view of the San Juan mountains. Outside the house a clear stream runs through the property and offers a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. Jan will give you many choices for items stocked in the refrigerator. We loved the perfectly arranged colored farm fresh eggs and the home baked muffins were delicious. Both Jan and Don gave us a tour of the property and the vineyard. They are perfect hosts and we will return again to spend a week next time. Highly recommend the house, the hosts and the rural setting in Cedaredge.

Victoria2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
• There were fresh flowers and a well stocked refrigerator with fresh produce and excellent beers and wine. The host invited us over for refreshments and gave us a tour of the vineyard.

Kimberly2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
• Jan and Don immediately made us feel right at home. We arrived to fresh home made jam, artisanal bread, local wine and beer. The fridge also contained local eggs and a few other necessities. We used the old farm house as a business retreat/working vacation and it worked great for that. One day Jan gave us a tour of the vineyard there at the house and let us sample all the different grapes. Including the Cab Franc and others that go into the local wine. The town of Cedar edge is quaint, but if you are looking for dinning options there aren't many options. It is a great place to chill, enjoy the views, star gaze and relax. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Jan and Don will bend over backwards to make your stay memorable!

A private 80 acre playground with 900 square foot Yurt (including loft) that has a fully equipped kitchen, 3/4 bath with running hot and cold water and more than adequate sleeping arrangements for 4 - 6 guests. Sorry but Closed Dec., Jan. & Feb.
All Yurts are fun! Most Yurts are small, open and provide little if any individual privacy. Just an open tent. Most have no plumbing or electricity. If you like “Roughing it” that way – OK, but… This is NOT like most Yurts. This YURT is large (over 900 square feet - including the loft) and contains a complete 3/4 bath, well equipped kitchen (propane range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils, etc.), open living area, wood stove, propane heater, solar electricity (generator backup), large deck, enclosed entryway, adequate storage and skylight. The YURT comfortably sleeps four - two twin beds in the loft and two full sized futons in the living area. Kids love lying their sleeping bags in front of the wood stove or even better yet - "setting up camp" on their own in the large 14' X 17' outfitter's wall tent for week or longer stays (additional charge - please arrange in advance.) There is only one bath –but hey – for a YURT a toilet that flushes and shower is pretty classy!! Rental includes full use of The YURT, all the associated improvements such as corrals, trails, private 80 acres and direct BLM access to 1,000s more acres (some restrictions apply.) Best effort is made to insure adequate supplies of propane, water, electricity, firewood and other consumables. Daily housekeeping is not provided. You'll be secluded on your private 80 timber covered acres. You'll have private access to thousands of adjoining BLM acres. There are miles and miles of hiking, biking, ATV and horseback trails that start right at your doorstep. We use this yurt as a base camp for big game hunting in the fall, and it is also available to other hunters during the hunting season at a different seasonal rate. Please use the 'Contact Me' button to inquire if you're interested in hunting during the hunting seasons.
The YURT sits at about 7000 feet elevation on Cedar Mesa - just south of Grand Mesa - the largest flat top mountain in the world. If you're from sea level you may want to limit your physical activity the first day or two. You'll be isolated (even though close to civilization.) The silence can be deafening.
• It's not a yurt. It's a GLURT! Glamour yurt! Full kitchen, bathroom AND shower! Unbelievable stars with no light interference. We learned the systems quickly and while we didn't spend time there during the day (we were at an event), we really enjoyed our evenings. It was so nice to have a bathroom while "camping" - even for this seasoned camper. While we did not need four-wheel-drive to get down the road, we did need our big truck. It might be a little touchy in a passenger car. As we were in Cedaredge for a motorcycle event, we needed to use George's property as our landing pad. We could not get the motorcycle down the road, so George graciously allowed us to swap out vehicles on his property. He even came out and helped us load and unload the bike from the trailer. Katy, George's son's dog, was also a wonderful greeter who gave me lots of love! All said, we had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our time at the Yurt at Screwball Ranch!

Joyce2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
• Highly recommend staying at The Yurt at Screwball Ranch! Even though it's rustic, you will not be missing out on anything since it comes with a full kitchen and bath inside. Tom was always prompt in replying to me, sent detailed information and a welcome email beforehand including the anticipated weather. The directions made it easy to find. The yurt is tucked away on top of the hill above town, overlooking another valley. Very private, quiet and peaceful. Definitely build a fire and look up into the sky for the most incredible stargazing ever! We saw some deer driving up and wild turkeys around the yurt two days. There is low-growing cactus in the area, so bring some good shoes if you want to tromp around the grounds. Excellent notebook on the table detailing anything you need to know about the yurt. We made separate day trips to Black Canyon of the Gunnison (including a Morrow Point boat tour), Palisade (wine tasting) via Grand Mesa, and Ouray (check out Box Canyon Falls). Nice big art galley (The AppleShed) in Cedaredge. Thanks, Tom and George, for an excellent experience!

Jeanna2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful setting as we followed George to the Yurt after (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication was great throughout booking and our entire trip. About a half mile long driveway leads to the yurt and 4wd may be needed. George went over all the systems when we arrived. We were there in July for 2 weeks, so it was hot during the days and enjoyed the cool nights. We brought our 3 dogs with us, 2 bulldogs and a Boston terrier. I had concerns about having no A/C in the heat but we managed with ice water, cool mats, etc. We took an ATV tour on Grand Mesa and it was terrific! We spent days fishing, exploring Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, rafting on the Gunnison River. We also took day trips to Hotchkiss, Grand Junction and went swimming at Swietzer State Park in Delta. We spent a few nights by the bonfire as the cows next door watched on. Such a unique trip, we're thankful for your hospitality and hope to return in the future! Thanks Tom & George for a great trip.

• The screwball ranch yurt was everything we hoped. A wonderful private getaway, perfect for dogs and people alike. I would recommend it highly.

• The yurt, the surroundings and the hosts were wonderful!

Carey2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
• Both Tom (online) and George (in person) are very friendly, organized people. Tom got back to me quickly with all my questions, while George got us settled quickly and made everything simple. The Yurt is a fantastic experience! It's rugged for sure! but way better than camping in your own tent! And for us.. way better than any hotel. The private land is amazing, it's so quiet and dark! The hosts never bothered us during our stay and we felt like the yurt was our own! Everything is made well, and for what it is, it's well worth the cost. The futons are more than comfortable and the location only being a 1 hour drive from Grand Mesa was perfect! The people in Cedaredge are very helpful and kind as well. Overall a great trip that we will never forget!

• Host was very kind and welcoming! Yurt was a lot of fun, seclusion with great views in a unique space!

• Great place to get away from it all in a beautiful mountain environment. Our hosts were fantastic, and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience with a clean, well-stocked yurt. We will definitely be coming back here.

This converted 1800's carriage house has been converted and given hign-end finishes, a brand new bathroom, a laundry facility, and kitchenette with all the basics.
The cabin is a studio style open floor plan with a loft that overlooks the downstairs space.

A futon is available in the loft for an additional guest; better fit for a shorter person. One queen bed is downstairs under the loft for privacy. The washer/dryer combo provides extra convenience because you only have to load it once for both wash and dry cycles. Set it in the morning and return to clean, dry clothes. In the kitchenette you will find basic dishes, cookware, and utensils if you choose to use the space to make your own meals. A mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and stove top are there for your convenience. You will find a tub/shower combo, toilet, and one-person vanity in the brand-new bathroom. There is also space and hangers for clothes that need to be hung or aired out, a place to set luggage rather than on the bed or floor, night tables on each side of the queen bed, and cabinet space for storage of items. A small garden rests outside the entryway and there is a shared patio space next to the cabin. In the future we plan to add a creek side deck complete with fire pit as well as an outdoor kitchen area for gatherings and summer outdoor gourmet cooking.
Although we are located just off the highway, you will find your accommodations quiet and relaxing. Our one-acre property has large mature trees with lots of shade, quiet neighbors who keep to themselves, and is one of the prettiest areas of land in Delta County. South of us is Delta where you will find conveniences like WalMart, Auto Zone, Dining, a Recreation Center, and shopping on our Historic Main Street. Several times each summer, you can visit the local street fairs, farmer's market, or other celebrations. North of us is Cedaredge and the Grand Mesa. Cedaredge has great local art, cafes, and a beautiful Main Street and town park for walking. The Grand Mesa is a draw for outdoor enthusiasts and you can find hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, and solitude up there. Cedaredge hosts the famous Applefest the first weekend of October, the Serenity Run each summer, and has hosted Ride the Rockies. In the summers you will find a weekly farmer's market and street fairs monthly. Surrounding communities host various festivals, county fairs, and good ol' country fun. Close by are Hotchkiss, Paonia, Crawford, and Olathe. We're about 45 mintues to Montrose and about an hour to Grand Junction.
• We loved the attention to the decorating details in the cabin and that we could hear the creek through the window. The cabin is in a beautiful area and Jessica and John's yard is full of original projects and plants. I would love to stay here again when we go back.

• Time will pass by all too quickly when you retreat from the hustle and the heat of the day to this Spanish-style hacienda. Every room has a unique feature and makes all ages feel at home - from the calm mountain views in the master bedroom to the foosball table in the game room. Highlights include morning coffee in the hammock, playing fetch with the friendly lab, and perusing the well stocked bookshelves.

• Holy Hacienda! We absolutely LOVED our stay. The house and property is stunning, and lovely, and cozy, and so very peaceful. We explored the wineries one day (Stone Cottage Cellars was the absolute favorite...great people and delicious wine) and then just stayed at the house the next. There was no reason to leave! The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a big family meal, plenty of space to gather and play games, and just unwind. We took full advantage of the record collection! This was another highlight of our weekend...amazing tunes. I can not say enough positive things about our stay. Thank you, Jeff! Can't wait to go back. A true gem.

Centrally located in the Grand Valley, at the end of the road, on the edge of a Mesa, sits our Southwestern adobe style house. An outside staircase takes you up to the tower guest room. The views are amazing! There is ample parking and a culdesac. It's fisherman friendly with a turn around driveway to accommodate dories or rafts. The valley is known for its orchards, wineries and vineyards. Explore the area. If you like getting away to a peaceful and quiet retreat, this the place for you.
We built our Taos style home on then SE edge of Redlands Mesa. The Look Out Tower will have views of the The Black Canyon, the North Fork Canyon, the Smith Fork Canyon, Fruitland Mesa, Rogers Mesa, and our own eastern mountains above Paonia, that include the Raggeds and the West Elk Mountains. To the west is the Uncompaghre Mesa and to the north is the Grand Mesa. We are very centrally located in the valley. Paonia is a 20 minute drive from us and is known for its excellent wineries, orchards and organic foods. Delta is a 20 minute drive from us and is the gateway to Montrose, Ridgeway, Ouray, Telluride and points south. The Grand Mesa is just above Cedaredge, about 15 miles away. On the Grand Mesa, you will see numerous lakes amidst pine trees. It is the largest flat top mountain in the world. The Black Canyon, 20 miles to the south, can be seen from our house. The national park is unbelievably spectacular with incredible trails to hike! One of our favorite activities is rafting and fly fishing on the Gunnison River in the Pleasure Park area. You can also book raft trips down the Black Canyon of the Gunnison Gorge through Gunnison River Expeditions.1-970-872-3232.
Hotchkiss is 10 minutes away and Paonia is 10 minutes further east.
• Susan and Joe are wonderful hosts! Beautiful views, private patio for star gazing, comfy bed and even a homemade banana muffin waiting for me. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Black Canyon!

Holly2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
• I usually book whole house places but the Mesa Tower has a private entrance and it feels very private, has a nice kitchen and bath. The views are amazing. Only about a 20 min drive to Paonia. Susan is a great host. I would highly recommend her place for a quiet getaway to the Grand Valley area. North Rim of Black Canyon is easy to get to and Ouray is only 90 min away.

• I was quite fortunate to be Susan's and her husband's first airbnb guest. Location was quite easy to find and GPS does work, if you need it. I received a very warm welcome from both hosts upon my arrival. The room was spotless and more like a studio apartment with a private entrance. Anything you could possibly need was provided. It definitely felt like a 5 star hotel and the views from the room are amazing! I went on a beautiful ride recommended by Susan and even stopped for a 2 hour hike with incredible views. I hope to be able to return in the near future.

Arturo2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
• My husband & I stayed two nights at Joe & Sue's place on our first anniversary trip. We chose their place very last minute (less than a week before arrival) because it was in between the Black Canyon and the Grand Mesa which were two places we knew ahead of time we wanted to visit. Little did we know, their place itself would be AMAZING. The pictures could ever do it justice. The views are absolutely beautiful and the home is so quaint and lovely. Plus, Joe & Sue were so welcoming and kind, and even left us two muffins and two large bowls of fresh fruit in the refrigerator. I really can't say enough good things! Side note: definitely visit the Black Canyon and Crag Crest, as well as Delicious Orchard if you have time.

• We had just a lovely time in this homey cabin. It has the feel of a place that's been in the family for years. Comfy and informal. Beautiful skies made an evening next to the fire pit a beautiful part of our visit. Cliff and Cherrie were just lovely and dropped by to make sure we had everything we need and then ducked away to leave us to enjoy ourselves. Lovely spot and view -- and the sound of the rushing rapids were a constant accompaniment to our stay.

• This was by far the best rental property available near the lakes and hiking trails. The space was clean, and the owners were always available and helpful when we needed them. We would definitely stay here again. We traveled July 2016 with 2 adults and 4 teenagers and stayed in Cabin #4. The table only sat 4 people but we made it work. The temperatures were in the 40s in the morning and 70s in the afternoon. I would suggest bringing a light jacket for the mornings. Overall it was a great vacation for all of us.

• The staff at Thunder Mountain was fantastic, they were very welcoming and understanding as we booked for July 4th weekend last minute and hit major traffic and were going to be in later than the check-in time. We contacted them to let them know and they responded right away and set us up to have access to our cabin. The cabins were just what we were looking for, simple clean cabins. It was great for the whole family, our preschooler and dog we brought as well. Staff also gave us information on hikes and they have equipment rental such as boats which was fantastic. Neither one of us had cell phone service, but there was wifi. Great experience will definitely make a trip back!

Amanda2015-07-05T00:00:00Z

• The cabins were exactly what we were looking for. They were in the trees across the road from a lake. The cabins themselves were great. They had everything you needed, and were clean and comfy. My two young boys were sad to leave. The hosts were good- they were there when I had any questions. We will definitely be back.

• The cabin was nice and well stocked. Well heated and the staff was friendly. Great views. Wonderful little hideaway vacation spot.

• The cabins were cute and cozy as expected, and the stars at night were definitely a sight to see. The hosts were very helpful and kind even when our plans changed and we showed up two hours earlier than the allowed check in. It was a last minute trip and we were surprised by the amount of snow in the middle of April. Being unfamiliar with the area we expected to be able to sit by the lake and bask in the warm sun, but were surprised to see the lakes frozen over and the cabin buried in 6 feet of snow! Turns out the cabin's are 20min outside Cedaredge and some 4000ft higher in elevation. However it was still a beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay very much.

• Quaint and cozy cabin in a quiet pastoral setting. Cherie was very warm, welcoming and informative and was the perfect hostess. Had warned us ahead of time that wi-fi was very spotty, and in fact, it didn't work at all. Nor could we get the tv to work, but other than those glitches it was a very pleasant evening spent there.

• I absolutely loved everything about this cabin! It had everything we needed! The setup was adorable! I would definitely recommend arriving during the day other than that it was wonderful experience.
