Cascade Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Cascade

Our cabin is nestled within majestic Douglas Firs, Ponderosa and Lodge Pole pine trees with a spacious deck designed to enjoy the tranquility of the forest. This home is located just minutes from the Lake Cascade, local restaurants and family-friendly activities (skiing, hiking, sledding, snowmobiling, swimming). Just up the road from Lake Cascade, 25 minutes away from Tamarack ski resort, 50 minutes from Brundage Ski Resort and 15 minutes away from the Cascade Aquatic & Recreation Center.
  • Wonderful get-a-way cabin. Every amenity imaginable for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Literally only need to bring clothes and food. Everything is there. My son is a chef, so we did lots of cooking. Everything needed was there for a preparation of a 5 course meal. Suited 8 adults and 3 toddlers very well. Game room for the teens, Wi Fi & Dish for the toddlers. Property descripiton was completely accurate. Although there were warnings about the water usage, we had no problems at all with the well. Thank you, Jen, for being such a great host! We will be back!

  • Jen was an exceptional host and has a beautiful home! Great communication from the moment I reached out to her and her home was a perfect clean place to relax after a long day outdoors!

    Kyle2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised. Nice secluded location but still convenient to town.

    Carrie2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is much more than you expect it to be . Book and you'll find out why ! Super happy with our stay !

    Marina2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin, amazing location, spacious with great accommodations, but severely lacked overall cleanliness and host refused to make it right. Hair, sand and bugs in the shower, dirty countertops, crumbs and food particles all over the fridge, extreme dust everywhere, dirty carpets, cobwebs in the corners of the stairwells. Bummer, because we really loved everything else about the place! Will likely not return.

    Lorraine2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice home in beautiful setting! Beds were comfortable. It does have a steep drive way with not place to turn around so you have to back down and it has a shallow well so you have to be aware of water usage so the well has time to recover. We basically just slept there as we were passing through after a camping and rafting trip. This was disclosed on the site but I guess I overlooked it when I booked. It wasn't a real big deal but we had 5 people ready for a shower and then we had to space them out and take them fast so we would not drain the well. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable.

    Lori2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place for a getaway in Cascade. Owner was prompt and thorough with communication. The Cabin was beautiful with all necessary amenities, only wish we could've stayed longer!

    April2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great location and great price. The house suited the needs of the five adults and five under 5s that stayed during our visit. The kitchen is big and there is lots of room to cook. The deck was fantastic for chilling or using the fire pit. We had a great time and are planning to visit again!

This bungalow is 1/2 mile to Campbell Creek boat ramp and Anderson Creek snowmobile access. Activities in the area include; hiking, ATV's, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, and ice fishing. We are 11 miles from Tamarack Ski Resort.
  • Jill was a great hostess. We were so grateful she was quick to answer our questions and be there as support when we had inquires. The place is quite a way off the highway, but luckily the roads are well plowed in the winter in this area of Cascade. We weren't too far from snow shoe trails and inner town Cascade. The place itself is quite small and definitely has a rustic feel. But it was cozy enough for my group to nuzzle in with one another and have a really nice time in the dead of winter. Thanks, Jill!

    Janessa2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and Jill was extremely understanding and accommodating. We will definitely try to stay at her place some other time.

    james2016-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's place is a quiet and cozy cabin in the woods. The owner was sweet and caring!

    Jason2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and clean place very quiet it was great having the windows open and having the creek in back of the cabin to put you asleep .

    June2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! Everything we needed was provided. The cabin was comfy and felt very cozy and welcoming. The location was very close to town and yet was far enough away to enjoy the woods. I would highly recommend a stay here to get away from the city for a bit.

    Taylor2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Amber Dawn is in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by forest, not far from Lake Cascade and a short drive to the town of Cascade. There are lots ways to enjoy your time in the area. I recommend taking a drive out to Warm Lake and/or Yellow Pine. Yellow Pine is pretty remote and on rough gravel roads but the scenery is spectacular. Especially between Yellow Pine and McCall. The town of Yellow Pine is very welcoming and friendly with a year round population of only 25-35 people there each community member has to be actively involved for the town to survive. I also recommend dining at Remington's in Cascade. We ate there for our 35th anniversary. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. Just don't expect the chef to rush the process. Get there shortly after they open at 5pm and your wait will not be as long though. While you are in the a you will want to see Charlie's Garden. It is on the west side of Payette Lake in McCall and rather hard to find but very beautiful. Don't trust (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) to get you there. Because there are 2 Sylvan Beach Roads and 2 Sylvan Creek roads. Take Warren Wagon road out to the Sylvan Creek road just before you reach the Spud Inn sign. Turn right and it will be on your right.

    Shelly2017-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jill was quick to respond to any questions that we add. The location of the cabin was perfect. It looked just like the pictures, and had a great homey feel. Everything we needed was in the cabin, the entire experience was seemless. We can not wait to go back.

    Katharine2016-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time at the cabin. Very comfortable, well appointed, and could hear the creek from the comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again!

Experience solitude amid unlimited recreation. Reconnect or regenerate with family and friends in a rustically elegant setting. Explore the entire 730 acres or just the informal wildlife reserve on our 500 acre Island in the Payette River.
Solitude in the middle of a recreation area. The Retreat is in situated in a high mountain valley. Imagine wondering the web of trails in search of the perfect picnic spot, beach for swimming or sunbathing or a private meadow to just enjoy nature and the wildlife--- with hiking, bike trails, picnicking, and water sports on the ranch and unlimited recreation in the area. Delight in the experience of 'owning' a 730 acre ranch which includes our 500 acre informal wildlife preserve ISLAND in the Payette River to get away from it all for unequaled R & R.
We are in a beautiful mountain valley at about 5000'. I drove through this area on my way to the University of Idaho from southern Idaho. I always thought this valley would be the a fantastic place to live given the environment and the abundant recreational opportunities that abound here. We fell in love with this property after first seeing it on cross country skis in February with 2-3 feet of snow. The beauty of the water, mountains and snow covered scenery enchanted us. We skied all along Big Creek, but couldn't get to the Island to see it--we were so enamored with the rest of it, we bought it in 1986 without seeing the Island or much of the Payette River. This precipitated selling our house in Boise and moving to Cascade full time in 1992. Wandering the trails on the Island or watching our elk herd migrate to the Island each morning is the type of enchantment we would like to share with you.
  • This was our second stay at Island Ranch Retreat. We chose it for it's convenience to our river rafting adventures on the Payette river. Lynette goes above and beyond to make you feel right at home starting with the gift basket complete with homemade pumpkin bread and lots of treats to make you feel welcome. The location of the property is stunning and the windows from the apartment provide fabulous views of the property and mountains beyond. We have never been able to take advantage of all the trails on the property or see all the wildlife but maybe on a return visit we will take the time. The apartment is clean and well stocked with everything you need. The Adam's are right there on the property and are available for local tips and friendly chats but also allow you plenty of privacy and freedom.

  • You simply cannot find a more scenic place, great accommodations and friendly folks. The property is truly valley county's premier property. Thanks to our host Harry and Lynette. Great folks. You must do

  • Great place. Very peaceful. Friendly hosts. Perfect place to see the eclipse. Sleeps 4 with no problem.

    Anthony2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The property is enormous! It's beautiful and so scenic. Just note that if you're thinking of hiking to the River, it's over a mile from the house using the trail system, and you will definitely need the map provided by the hosts. Some reviews have mentioned using bikes on the trails, but I wouldn't recommend it for most of them--the brush would make it unpleasant. They would be fabulous trails for ATVs, and if you don't mind walking, they're great for that too. Just make sure you're wearing long pants!

    Jennifer2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property was wonderful as were the hosts! Lynette provided some tips for our side trips- all just a short drive from the house. We enjoyed seeing wildlife in the meadow and our float trip down the Payette. Our kids loved the house and all its open space. We would stay there again!

Great location, quiet area close to town within walking distance to restaurants and businesses. Cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a large front porch. Comfortable log furniture through out. Enjoy watching the deer pass by morning and nightly. Located one mile from Lake Cascade a short bike ride or a few minute drive and you are playing in the water.
  • Greg's cabin was amazing and we had a wonderful time around the fire pit out back. The deer visiting in the morning was icing on the cake! I can't wait for the softball tournament next year to stay there again. Greg was a great host and always responded immediately to any questions. Highly recommended!

  • Beautiful town and newly renovated home with everything you need. Very fun trip for our family with children and teens.

    Donna2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very nice place to stay. Everything you could need was available. I saw the BBQ in the photo, so I brought some charcoal and lighter fluid but they provided it. I also brought newspaper to build a fire, and it was there. Nice time had by all.

    Daniel2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • PLUS: This place is: ** Very clean ** Easy to control, temperature-wise, with lots of firewood for the indoor stove (which we didn't use, because it was summer) and a surprisingly good air conditioner (which we did) ** Loaded with all kinds of resources, well above what one expects to find in an Airbnb property. Full-size, new appliances, charcoal for the grill, and lots of foodstuffs (pancake mix! oil! hot sauce!). MINUS: It didn't have wifi. We didn't notice this when we rented. This ended up being costly for us because we were doing a lot of trip planning during our stay in Cascade, and we had to use our limited phone data. ON BALANCE: a wonderful place for a getaway.

Welcome to our cabin and your retreat; the perfect place to relax with your family and friends with unrivaled views of Cascade Lake and Valley. Rest, relax and enjoy the outdoors at our private 6-acre mountain retreat. Our wrap-around deck, with built-in fire pit is the perfect way to enjoy a mountainous sunset or sunrise. 10 minute drive to the Cascade town center, golf course and lake. Less than 30 min drive to Tamarack Resort, Gold Fork Hot Springs, the McCall town center and Payette Lake.
  • Great location between Cascade and Donnelly. Sunsets are amazing. Great geology all around! Place was very very clean when we arrived. Spent an entire month and the place was great.

  • Marilyn's place sits atop a hill with a 360 degree deck so you can find sun or shade and enjoy a very nice view of Lake Cascade. The home is very nice, clean, has a woodsy feeling of seclusion, and was as advertised. There is some highway noise far below that does not reach annoying levels which we anticipated, no AC as indicated (which we did not need anyway), and no second bathroom in the upstairs loft as indicated. We were able to connect with family in the area and we had an awesome view of the 100% solar eclipse. All in all, this is a very nice property perfect for groups of six or less.

    Nick2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and amazing views of the lake. Marilyn provided detailed instructions on directions to her cabin. Check in/out was smooth. The cabin itself was clean, quaint and close to the main highway (55). I really felt that I was in my own private mountain. The location was in close proximity to McCall. Overall, we enjoyed staying at Marilyn's place!!

    Maria2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to relax and take in the views. Had everything we could have wanted.

    Arn2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Marilyn and Mike's cabin. The views of the lake and mountains are spectacular (at least once the smoke from all the Pacific NW wildfires cleared up a bit), and expect to see wildlife out and about. It's a short drive to both Cascade and Donnelly for restaurants and shopping, and there's plenty of outdoorsy stuff to do in the area, but we spent most of our time on the giant deck taking in the unbeatable views! Our stay wasn't incident free. The cabin's water pump went out. But Mike hurried right over with a couple big 5-gallon containers of water while he worked on getting someone out to make repairs. The cabin is dog friendly, and our pup loved sitting by the campfire. When she was inside the cabin, she had several perches where she could sit and stare out the windows at all the chipmunks and squirrels passing by. We really did have an amazing, relaxing time, even with the water issues, and can't wait to visit again!

    Jeff2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I stayed here for the weekend to enjoy my sisters wedding in Cascade. The cabin is only a 10 min drive outside of downtown Cascade, but is as secluded as you could ask for. The 360 degree wrap around deck amazing views of Cascade Lake from one side, and views of the Cascade Valley from the other side. Sitting around the outside fire pit at night gives you an amazing view of thousands of stars. Also a nice swing to relax on and look out at the lake. The host was a pleasure to deal with and was very quick to respond to messages. Would highly recommend!

    Tyler2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Marilyn was such a wonderful host; she communicated everything perfectly, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing, and was so kind. The views from the cabin were beautiful; the lake was gorgeous and could be seen from their huge wooden deck, and Donnelly could be seen from the other side of the deck, where their fire pit was located. The sliding glass doors open to the lake view, which made for amazing views in the morning and during sunset. The house was very clean, I was able to find all of the amenities easily, and Marilyn and Mike even left a welcome note for us on the table! My dogs had a blast running around on their six acres, and we went for several hikes during our stay. My husband and I (and dogs!) would love to stay again; it was a beautiful cabin, and we felt totally at home and comfortable there. Thanks Marilyn and Mike!

This gorgeous custom-built log cabin makes a wonderful home base for your next Lake Cascade adventure. Just two miles from the lakeshore down tree filled, winding roads, you'll enjoy the beautiful water views as sip your morning coffee on the expansive deck and plan the day's activities: hiking, fishing, kayaking, windsurfing, boating, mountain biking, birdwatching, or simply relaxing by the fire! The cabin is spacious and packed with amenities, but still feels like a wonderfully cozy getaway tucked away in the mountains. On the ground floor, soaring timber ceilings and a wall of windows create a sunny, warm living space where the whole family can gather together. Comfortable sofas are arranged before the gas fireplace in the living area, so you can enjoy the beautiful views even while curling up with a good book or board game on drizzly afternoons. The open kitchen overlooks the living area so the amateur gourmet in your group can still be part of the fun; with plenty of dishes, cookware, small appliances, utensils, and even a dishwasher, preparing meals for the whole group is a delight. Double doors open from the great room out onto the expansive deck, where tranquil views of the surrounding pine trees and Lake Cascade await. There's a gas grill provided for summer barbecues, or head down to the yard where an outdoor fire pit is perfect for roasting marshmallows. On rainy days or lazy evenings, retire to the lower-level den for some indoor recreation. Between the pool table, TV (now with cable!), DVD player, another cozy fireplace, and plenty of comfy seating on overstuffed sofas, the space has plenty of attractions to keep even the whole family entertained. The cabin sleeps eight comfortably, with a log-hewn queen bed in the ground-level master bedroom and two additional queen beds in the upstairs loft. The loft also contains a twin bed and a twin trundle. There are two full bathrooms, with an antique claw foot tub on the lower level and a luxurious jetted tub upstairs. The house also has a washer/dryer to help keep packing light, and includes Internet access for those who need to stay connected. The Lake Cascade region is an outdoorsman's paradise at any of time of year. The lake itself, just a short stroll away, is home to rainbow trout, Coho salmon, perch, and bass; fishing is popular both in summertime by boat or from the shore, and in the winter through the frozen surface! The surrounding national forests and state parks offer nearly endless trails to explore by foot, mountain bike, snowmobile, or cross-country skis, depending on the season. Less than five miles south, the small but charming town of Cascade has a few good home-style restaurants, a lakeside golf course, and a handful of shops. The slightly larger town of Donnelly is thirteen miles north, and the bustling resort town of McCall is another thirteen miles further; Boise is only eighty miles south. Please Note: Four-wheel drive and/or chains will be required if booking this home in the winter. It is a windy 5 miles in from the main road. In the event of a heavy snowfall, it is possible to be snowed in until the plows can make it. It would be rare, but possible for it to take 24-48 hours. No of people can fit in is 8
  • Clean classic cabin with nice layout, lots of room and host that communicates very well. Short drive from Cascade. Located on large, quiet, private lot. Deck with overlooking pretty view of Lake Cascade. Adequate WiFi. We had a great stay.

  • If you're considering the yurt, you probably already know that it'll take a bit of labor. Grey water, propane, flashlights etc... but it is WORTH it!!! We had such a tremendous time at this special special abode.

  • Be prepared for the true outdoors! It was exactly what we were looking for and perfect to getaway from the city. The yurt was much larger than you would expect. Make sure to keep it clean for the next people though. It's just like camping but nicer, pack it in and pack it out!

  • The Sunrise Yurt is a true rustic backwards Idaho experience! While very close to major roadway access and a short quarter mile uphill walk, hike or Snowshoe trip from the road this neat little gem nestled on the side of West Mountain provides the experience of being isolated in the backcountry. The large yurt structure complete with a propane stove and a wood stove with wood, easily sleeps eight to 10 people in a combination of ways from Unk beds to futons. A propane stove and a dry sink complete the needed accommodations. Plenty of windows and a large deck Overlook the hillside in the large lake below. A duel outthouse system, one for number one and one for number two round out the amenities of this little gem nestled in the forest. Ben is a fantastic owner, easily reachable and supportive. His reassurance and guidance made for a very successful adventure!

  • Ruben was a great host and available to answer any questions we had. He checked in with us to see if we needed anything and made sure everything was ok. We had such a great time!

  • My family and I stayed at Ruben’s cabin for a family reunion. There was plenty of room for all of us (4 children and 6 adults). Ruben was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. He left my family a nice bottle of wine that we enjoyed by the fire pit, along with a thoughtful card. The American flag was a nice touch that also made us feel welcome, as a good portion of my family is military. The windows in the upstairs bedroom offered fabulous views and the porch was an awesome place to drink morning coffee. We spent a good portion of the time on the lake, which was an easy 5-minute drive from the cabin. We would definitely stay at the cabin again!

  • My family enjoyed Christmas at Ruben's cabin. He responded quickly & answered any questions we had before, during, and even after our stay. Everything was set up as expected with clear instructions. They were very kind & let us use their sleds which were a blast! I would recommend bringing chains for the winter months even if you have 4x4. Overall, great experience!

  • Great stay! This cabin exceeded our expectations. The place was equipped with everything we needed to be comfortable. The master bedroom and patio are great spaces at this location. Ruben was great at communication. All logistics were effortless. We had a great time listening to all the old vinyl records and sipping coffee on the deck. Will look forward to staying there again soon.

  • I would like to start out by saying Ruben is very easy to work with, he was quick to respond and was always clear with all his instructions. My family spent Christmas a total of 4 days at this cabin. On arrival we where pleasantly surprised that a Christmas tree was set up with decorations all over the cabin, needless to say we where very happy about that, my family was thinking we where going to have Christmas without a tree! The master bedroom up stairs has a breath taking view, a area where we hung out did yoga and had great family conversations. Rubens expansive vinyl record collection gave us many hours of enjoyment listening while playing games and doing puzzles around the huge dinning room table. It was very convenient as we where able to sled right out the door. As other reviews have stated you will need 4 wheel drive in the winter. Ruben followed up with us after we got home and said we had left a pair of slippers and would be happy to mail them to me, when we got them he also sent a trader joes chocolate bar. Our experience dealing with Ruben was 5 star he was such a pleasure to work with.

  • We had a fabulous and relaxing time. Everything we needed was there. The scenery was beautiful, and accommodations were very comfortable. Plenty of recreation nearby and things to do at the cabin. Ruben was easy to reach and very accommodating!

  • PERFECT!! The stay and the entire city of Cascade! Amazing views from our master bedroom and the deck provide the perfect start and end of your day! We will hold the memories made in that cabin forEVER!! The laughter and endless amount of music played and the comfort of a FULLY stocked kitchen! Its definitely off the beaten path but that was exactly what we were looking for!! Oh and Ruben was super attentive so accommodating he even left us a complete s'mores set up!!

Cozy home right next to the whitewater park on a quiet street and close to the lake. Back yard has great views with deer and other wildlife seen almost daily. Great access to mountains, rivers, and lakes directly out the door. Very close to Kelly's Whitewater Park and the new aquatic center which is open year round. Tons of great hiking, mountain biking, hunting, ATVing, swimming, fishing, rafting and kayaking nearby too. Cascade is a hidden gem.
Cute home in town on a quiet street near the whitewater park and walking distance to parks and the year round aquatic center and restaurants.

  • This place was perfect for a seculed weekend getaway that provided time for us ladies to unplug from our everyday busy lives. The geothermal spa out back was so amazing and even more breath-taking with the gates open to views of the meadow in the mornings! Plenty of space for a group or family! Barb was so welcoming and very personable! The home was very beautiful! The only suggestion I have would say it accommodates 6 adults comfortably unless a hide-a-bed couch was provided in the upstairs sitting area. There was a hide a bed in a chair in the downstairs livingroom but not comfortable for an adult. BUT overall I highly recommend this beautiful home!

This cozy mountain cabin home is perfect for any vacation. All the rooms have been newly renovated and carry an updated, but traditional and warm environment. This home is suitable for anyone ages 1-100. While the home itself is reason enough to stay the property sits on a few acres with a creek running through the back acreage. This is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the surrounding area while also having access to modern amenities that make life a little bit more comfortable.
Walking in the front door begins with a screened in porch that's perfect for your furry friends. The inside of the home is complete with new carpet running through the bedrooms and main living spaces, while the kitchen has beautiful hardwoods and kitchen complete with all major appliances. The main floor includes a full bath, full bedroom, and a sitting room with wood stove for those chilly nights.
Acres separate each of the homes in this area providing privacy, and boundless natural beauty. The nearest restaurant is a short 5 minute drive, and the town is about 12 minutes from this location.

The Cabin is set in a 2 acre park like setting 5 minutes from the town of Cascade and 5 minutes from Lake Cascade.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). It has 2 bedrooms and a loft. This cabin is the classic log lodge that emanates nature and luxury. The logs are hand peeled, fitted and tongue in groove. This type of construction is rare and beautiful. The setting is park like, with 2 1/2 acres on a dead end road. Close to everything you need or want
Cabin is in a cul de sac and is nestled in the pines. Very private and yet only 5 minutes the Lake, Town of Cascade, the River or the Water park and hot springs. This cabin is renown in the area for its exquisite construction and unique setting next to the largest tree in Valley County. Cabin is equipped with a massive flat screen television. Cellular Networks of Verizon and ATT are accessible. The cabin is equipped with wireless internet effective 8/30/17
  • Warren and his wife welcomed our family and friends to a wonderful stay in their Cabin. It had some excellent family history and was a joy for us to stay in, they explained everything about the cabin and what we may or may not need and answered all our questions. Our kids loved the outdoor acreage and getting to roam around in wildlife. The cabin is everything you would imagine a cabin would be, the fire pit was perfect, Smores and Shish Kabobs over the open fire, we could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much and we look forward to staying here again!!

  • Beautiful cabin, well-maintained super clean, full kitchen, very private lot surrounded by trees, large TV and wifi throughout. Warren was very easy to work with and he always responded promptly. Highly recommended in you're in the area!

  • The Pine Valley Lodge was amazing! The setting is remarkably remote and serene and yet 5 minutes to everything like the town, river, and lake. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and Warren was very helpful and courteous to our needs. We are definitely going to rent this again this summer. Very nice bedrooms and beds for our crew, comfortable living area, and a well appointed kitchen. We highly recommend!

    Kristen2016-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a charming quaint and cozy cabin! Full logs which you don't see very often anymore. One of a kind in a beautiful setting on a private street surrounded by trees and the biggest ponderosa I have ever seen! The branches are as big a round as trees!! And the kitchen! Everything you could ever need in the well appointed kitchen. Not another cabin like it. We loved it and will be back.

  • Close to town, the reservoir, everything Cascade has to offer. Yet set on a private wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood with distance between houses. Old fashioned cabin with modern amenities. Good kitchen for a family.
