“Definitely one of my favourite bars in Canberra - has a hip, modern feel and is always buzzing at night! They do asian fusion cuisine, and make great cocktails. You absolutely have to try their wok blasted asian mushrooms, japanese fried chicken, and agadashi fried tofu with some steamed rice! The dishes are intended for sharing, so perfect for 2-4 people depending on how much everyone would like to eat. Their soft shell crab bun and pork belly bun are also good, and my friends seem to love their josper octopus. If you can, definitely go at night for dinner and drinks. Check out their website: www.akiba.com.au”

“You cannot go past this place for brunch and waiting in line is worth it, get a take away coffee around the side while you wait. Only thing missing is a Bloody Mary and Mimosa on the menu. ONA coffee - Raspberry Candy if you're wanting the best to start the day! ”

“This is a great place to catch up with friends for dinner with plenty of share plates on offer. The food is amazing, be sure to try the pulled lamb shoulder. If you're solo or even with a group find a cosy couch near the fire and settle in for the afternoon with a glass of local wine.”

“It’s place to relax after work, or to wait for your table with some olives and nuts…but with a voyeuristic one-way glass window into the commercial bakery, it’s a fun way to pass the time. And with a good list of Australian spirits like Tasmanian whiskies, a nice plump list of local wines and a reserve list that goes a bit further afield, you won’t go thirsty either.”
