Bistro
“This is a good place to go for breakfast, lunch or a light dinner in Camps Bay. The menu is not particularly imaginative, but the quality of food is high and so is the service. It’s positioned upstairs so you have a great view across the beach. You’ll find La Belle on the far end of the strip, after Paranga and up a large flight of stairs. www.labellecampsbay.co.za”

“The Victorian Rotunda, a beautiful, geometrical domed building, was the epitome of high society in Cape Town at the turn of the century when it was built as part of a hotel and functioned as an events venue. Even today, despite its being a national monument, it hosts fashion shows, weddings and corporate functions. The Rotunda was part of the then mayor, James Riddell Farquhar’s, plan to turn Camps Bay into what he termed a ‘little Brighton’ - a holiday resort to resemble the seaside resort in the south east of England. The Rotunda began life as a concert hall, with a pavilion that also functioned as a ballroom, a theatre and exhibition hall all rolled into one.”
