  • We had a fabulous relaxing weekend away even with the cyclonic weather. The villa was fantastic and the facilities even better, loved the outdoor living area and pool/spa. Kerri-Lea is very welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • A glorious stay in the Gold Coast Hinterlands of Mt Nathan. Great accommodation along with pool, pool side bbq lounge, spa and resident horses & dog to enjoy. Kerri-Lea was a great host and respected our privacy. A BIG recommendation from us all :)

  • Kerri-Lea was absolutely fantastic! The villa is just beautiful, exactly as the photos show. The outdoor pool/spa/BBQ area is amazing! We had 12 people stay over the weekend for our wedding and every single person wants to find another excuse to have another weekend down there. The location is perfect, close enough to everything but far enough away that you feel like you've escaped. It's very private and the property really is just lovely. Could not recommend this place and Kerri-Lea enough. We're planning on making it at least an annual thing if not more frequently :-)

  • What a gorgeous way to spend a girls getaway - lounging by the pool and in the hot tub, gazing out over the gorgeous view! Such a lovely retreat space. Would have been so nice to stay longer.

    Katie2013-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing 5 nights with Kerri lee, Deni & Jirra. The added extras such as fruit basket wine food in pantry toiletries and heaps of towels were brilliant. We loved out outside kitchen lounge area spending most of our nights there. Recommend to anyone wanting to do the theme parks but not deal with the Gold Coast traffic and hustle. Truely beautiful place, will be back!!

  • Love at first sight! When we arrived the fire had been lit to ensure a warm arrival. After a quick run through of the house we were free to enjoy all the delights of the property. Perfectly located to drive into town for dinner supplies, the wineries and National Parks. But you won't want to leave. The kitchen is perfect for romantic dinners or large gatherings. The verandah is a peaceful place to laze the day away. The creek at the bottom is great for exploring, even with a camp fire beside it. Did not want to leave, can't wait to return.

  • Our family had a fabulously restful break away at Canungra Valley Getaway. Debra was super helpful and friendly and we all can't wait to return. The house was wonderful - huge! The perfect place to get away from it all and chill out. The swimming hole was cool and refreshing and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog with us for a family holiday. Loved watching the cows peacefully grazing nearby. Perfect holiday!

    Angus2016-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This house and land were absolutely breathtaking. Myself and a group of friends came here to celebrate my 35th birthday, and we had our breath taken away from the moment we opened the gate. I don't believe the pictures even do the place justice. With Debra's permission we will be back again and again.

    Beck2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning house. A home away from home. It was so perfect for our group as it's a massive house with heaps of bedrooms and large dinning spaces! We were sad we couldn't stay longer!

    Eleni2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in a very quiet relaxing location. Debra and Ric were great hosts. Great communication beforehand and then gave us privacy to enjoy our stay.

    Ella2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Deb was a great host and provided so much information for us prior to our stay. We certainly recharged the batteries in this amazing place. It's very private and has everything you could need. Great place to stay!

    nicole2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this place for a weekend get away. The house is amazing and so much bigger than we expected - the photos don't do it justice! We rented the house for a wedding nearby with a bunch of friends. There was plenty of room for all of us without feeling like we were living in each other pockets. Debra was lovely and went out of her way to accommodate all our needs. The area is stunning - beautiful views, wineries close by and plenty of creeks to swim in. We also loved the cows roaming around the property. Five star accommodation!

  • We had an amazing time at our airbnb cabin. The location was perfect for a nature escape and we were delighted to find a charming little town nearby as well as wineries and excellent walking trails. The accomodation itself was lovely, clean and well appointed, Kathy was kind enough to leave a breakfast basket for us. Also, it was nice and private and very cozy, and checking in was a breeze. Planning on coming back!

    Nicki2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic two night stay at Kathy's place. The place itself was clean and really comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. We actually felt as though the pictures didn't do it justice - but no photo can capture the thrill of seeing Wallabies just outside the kitchen windows! It is a great location - only 40 mins car trip up to the hikes at O'Reileys and a 5 min walk to the winery. Highly recommended.

    Shelley2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is great. It’s clean and well equipped. You have everything you need which is very thoughtful. The property has wonderful wild life to see. Beautiful, tranquil location. We had a fantastic stay.

It's such an idyllic place - every detail of the cottage has been meticulously designed. The outdoor fire is perfect for wine and cheese, and the bathroom is gorgeous. We loved every second!

  • Great spot for a little getaway! quiet and secluded. Sit back and enjoy the fire whilst watching the sun go down behind us meadows! Bed was incredibly comfy and the bathroom is picturesque with its views. Overall beautiful cottage!

    Crystal2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Trish was very welcoming.... the location of this cabin was ideally positioned amongst grazing cattle and (URL HIDDEN) was just beautiful waking up to the four horses right outside of the cabins fenced area. The cabin is beautifully decorated and comfortable, ideal for a relaxing or romantic get away.

    Glen2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Trish was a great host, very helpful amd was at the call when needed. It was great to wake up with cows and horses right outside the studio. The studio was very neat, cosy and comfortable with a great fire place and amazing bath. Highly recommended stay for those who want to get away from it all.

    Danny2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was much more beautiful than shown in the pics ..The views are simply breathtaking. Ideal for people who like the quiet and serene views away from crowds. We stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing getaway!!! The sunrise on the farm is worth waking up for :) Trish is the best host that we have ever interacted with. She was very helpful in guiding us to the property , showing us around the farm , invited us to hang out with her Chooks and horses . The cottage was completely self sufficient with all the facilities to cook and entertain. The outside deck and fireplace were our favourite hang out places :) We sincerely hope that we can go back to Trish's place again someday !!

    Hemant2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I enjoyed a beautiful night away at Trish's place. A little piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle. We especially loved the deep free standing bath which fitted us both perfectly. :) and the choice of an indoor combustion fire or out door brazier. We were pleased to find Tamborine Mnt was relatively close and look forward to our next visit.

    Chrissie2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Shay is a beautiful studio with amazing paddock views, as well as a comfy spot to watch the local cows, horses and birds go about their days. The space was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The stunning bathroom is a highlight. We had such a relaxing time enjoying the comfort indoors as well as sitting by the fire outside at night - Trish supplied everything we needed for this. We were also close to local walks, lookouts, wineries, restaurants and waterfalls in the Mt Tamborine and Binna Burra areas which you can easily take advantage of from this space. An awesome escape - thank you so much Trish for a fantastic stay!

There aren't great views from inside, but plenty of beautiful bushwalks very close by. The kids loved the visits from the wallaby and joey.

  • The location is ideal to explore the Lamington National Park and surrounding area. It is quiet and peaceful and the house/apartment is well equiped (self- contained) with everything you need. It is very roomy and comfortable. A great, hassle-free stay. So much more economical than traditional holiday accommodation. We booked into the buffet dinner at Binna Burra Lodge. This is a great option if you want to head out for dinner. If the weather is good, head up early and watch the sun set before dinner. Thanks for a great long weekend!

In 2012 our family bought this log cabin on 65ha (160 acres) in the Gold Coast hinterland about 85km south of Brisbane near Canungra, Queensland, as a getaway and retreat. The mountain air, breathtaking views and escape from all the trappings of modern life are what we love and want to share. We’re proud to say we have no Wifi, no TV and limited solar electricity – just enough for lighting at night and to charge your mobile devices (when the sun’s shining). There are hand-washing laundry facilities only and a well equipped Laundromat in Canungra (a little village just 7km away). Beautiful untreated fresh rainwater is on tap. There is a cosy fireplace for winter evenings, with gas for hot water, cooking and refrigeration. The house has two private bedrooms available for b&b rental, one with a Queen bed, ensuite, and walk-in robe with room for a baby’s travel cot and a smaller bedroom, with two single beds and the use of a shared bathroom and toilet (a double bed can also be made available in place of the two single beds if required). You are welcome to share the kitchen, living and dining areas throughout your stay and there’s also a gas barbecue for outdoor cooking and dining in Queensland's wonderful weather. It is a great place to unwind and regenerate, to read, write, create, make music, art, recuperate or meditate. Lahey Creek runs through the glen below the dwelling with its beautiful shady rocky waterholes to explore. For those that want to use our place as a base to discover this beautiful part of the world, it is ideally located just 38km from Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, 22km from Mt Tamborine , 25km from Binna Burra and 44km from O’Reilly’s in the Lamington National Park.
There is so much to see and do in the locality - Mt Tamborine, Scenic Rim, Lamington National Park, Binna Burra, O'Reilly's, Canungra. Local wineries, markets, hiking, cafes, restaurants are all within an easy driving distance.
  • Our stay with Elizabeth was idyllic. My three lab mates and I from TN, USA were traveling to Brisbane for a conference and found Elizabeth's home for an adventure before the conference. Before our arrival, Elizabeth was very communicative and gave information about local things to do and details our stay. Elizabeth always responded promptly and was so eager to provide additional information to help us make the most of our three days with her! Even though there is a 15 hours time difference from TN to USA, Elizabeth was quick to respond and I would definitely recommend staying with her to anyone traveling to Au from out of the country :) The drive to Elizabeth's home was so fun with great scenery and Elizabeth recommended a grocery in town on our way to her where we stocked up on some supplies. Upon our arrival Elizabeth was generous enough to make us some appetizers and a delicious dinner. During our stay, Elizabeth made us a delicious and huge breakfast each day as well as a few yummy snacks and she was more than willing for us to use her kitchen to cook and store food. Elizabeth's home was gorgeous. A comfortable living room with a wood burning fireplace, a beautiful open kitchen, a great view through all the floor to ceiling windows from the dining room table, and our bedrooms/bathrooms were very comfortable. We couldn't ask for anything better and we loved all our conversations with Elizabeth about the house and property. Elizabeth was great company during our stay. One of our favorite parts of our stay was watching the sunrise from Elizabeth's porch and watching all the wallabies and birds! Such peaceful and refreshing mornings. During our stay we spent a day at Lamington National Park / Binna Bura which was a quick drive from Elizabeth's and a day at Springbrook National Park. Both were super fun! We ventured to Mt. Tamborine one night and had a great dinner at an Irish pub. Elizabeth's home is the BEST air bnb you could ask for! I'm so glad we got to go and our peaceful days there will be memories we will have forever! I highly recommend her air bnb and if I ever find myself in Au again, I know where I will want to stay!

  • Beth, Nev & Duncan were the perfect hosts. They were very generous in letting us share their cottage and their hospitality went beyond than expected. We would love to go back and spend a few days again at the lovey cottage which is in a very quiet and secluded place. A great place to get away from the city life.

    Rajesh2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay. Mountain views are spectacular. Beth is an excellent host, very attentive, and we had many interesting conversations in front of the fire. Breakfasts were fabulous. The walk through their mountain forest is fantastic especially for the walking enthusiast. Highly recommended. Thank you Beth

  • Great place to get away from the city. Modern warm cabin, great views, and plenty of fresh air. Elizabeth does a great breakfast...nothing is too much trouble. Loved our stay.

  • Beth made us very welcome and the amazing breakfast set us up for our day's adventures. Fantastic dawn views of the mist rising out of the valley was unforgettable and great log fire to share in the evening.

  • What an amazing place! The rooms are comfy, cosy and had everything we needed and more. The gorgeous fire place and lounge were the perfect spot to spend the evening after a day of adventuring. Beth looked after our every need and was an absolute joy to be around. If you're lucky you'll get some of her delicious country baking! The property has views you could gaze upon for hours and at night be sure to look up as the stars are glorious. We also had the pleasure of seeing wallabies! While we enjoyed our "holiday", my team and I were there filming a television commercial. It was impossible to get a single bad shot. Beth also managed to help us out with props - she was a lifesaver. The couple of nights we spent at this retreat did not feel like work and it's all thanks to the the incredible hospitality of Beth and the picture perfect home and scenery. Whether it's for work or play, I highly recommend staying at the Ferny Glen Retreat. I've already planned on going back for some personal relaxation. Thank you Beth, we'll see you soon!

  • Everything about the Zen Inn is perfect! Lisa and Andreas made my partner and I feel so welcome and comfortable from beginning to end. The photos aren't misleading at all, this little granny flat is so beautifully decorated and has everything you need. If you are a nature lover this is perfect! We sat out on the deck most of the day while all the birds and animals came to us (Koala's, Wallabies, Bower birds, Honeyeaters, Whip birds plus so much more) I honestly would come back just to hang out with Lisa and Andreas, such a great couple. Close to waterfalls and bush tracks, it doesn't get much better :)

  • What a fabulous, unique, slightly quirky place Old St Johns was to stay in. Having spent the weekend with three generations of our family, comfortably accommodated, we were amazed at the beauty of Wilson's property and proximity to 'everything' the area had to offer. We were impressed with Wilson and his wife's generosity (having dinner ready for us on arrival, coupled with some general groceries) . These guys certainly know how to host! Wilson, thanks for a fantastic weekend, you have a beautiful place.

    Olly2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • A true escape from the real world - Wilson ensured the arrival was spectacular which started the whole stay off on an absolute high. The church is spectacular and has a decadent presence to it. It is decorated with gorgeous antiquities and offers complete comfort in every room. Still on cloud 9 to be honest! Cannot recommend this highly enough.

    Toni2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cosy church suitable for family getaways. House well set up with movies, games, kitchen equipment, wood fireplace, couches, big dining table. The onsite aviary was a hit.

    Evan2013-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wilson and his lovely church was simply terrific. As AirBnb hosts ourselves we full appreciated all the efforts he went to make our stay extra special. We were visiting with guests from the UK and they were simply blown away by the extra lengths Wilson went to to ensure our stay was superb. Highly recommended - and perfect for a small group!

    Felicity2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Very cosy and had all that was advertised and more. Home cooked meal waiting, brill selection of books, clean and tidy, great ambience, attentive and unobtrusive hosting. Will be back.

    Juana2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just incredible! From start to finish our stay was amazing. The atmosphere of the church is like nothing else, coupled with all the special touches our thoughtful hosts had put in place, it made our stay the most memorable of all our Airbnb experiences so far. Despite some great adventures in the beautiful surroundings, I think we'd have been just as happy to stay in doors the whole time. Thank you so much for having us!

    Lucy2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The most wonderful and unique little getaway! The fireplace kept us warm all night and the treats left in the fridge made it feel so intimate. Absolutely wonderful stay, highly recommend this place if you're looking for something beautifully out of the ordinary!

  • We booked at very short notice as we had made late plans to walk the nearby Border Track between O' Reilly's [up the road from Belinda's ]and Binna Burra. From the outset Belinda communicated promptly, confirming our booking and advising in detail how to find her. When we arrived Belinda showed us all the features of our accommodation, had fresh warm home baked muffins for us and made us feel very welcome. We had an early start but Belinda would have happily had freshly baked bread for us for a 6am brekkie! She provided beautiful home made shampoos and bath products, we had a tray of goodies to make fresh juice from as well as home made jams, cereals, and yoghurt. We slept well, had a great day walking then came home and made use of the massage chair! we found Belinda very welcoming, friendly and kind. We enjoyed her home and generosity and would recommend The Pearl of Contentment Retreat

    Janet2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda and her son offer the most amazing homely feeling from the moment you make contact with them. So kind and generous with their time and effort to make your stay memorable. Belinda is the most incredible cook and we got to sample some of her treats and breakfast. Thanks Belinda and Tayden

  • We were pampered by wonderful Belinda and her boys from the moment we arrived. Loved the walks, seeing kangaroos and kookaburras, the beautiful homemade food on the terrace, the million stars, the gorgeous homemade bathroom products, the massage chair and a perfect sleep. We left early for a balloon flight, so Belinda provided a fabulous hamper for later. I hope you do brilliantly Belinda, you gave us such a great experience.

    Geraldine2016-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Belinda & her family are the most wonderful hosts, their home is amazing and their hospitality outstanding. You could be as involved with them as you liked, they were always available if needed and were also very respectful of privacy. Belinda is so welcoming, she was very accommodating and a genuinely lovely lady - she even impressed our 15 year old son which is hard to do! We felt very safe in the surroundings, the views were fabulous and the wildlife experience was just enough for us Kiwis. The driveway is very steep but is well worth the trip to this beautiful relaxing sanctuary. Belinda is an amazing cook, and provides delicious nutritious, fresh food. There is a great pool there now which is an added bonus. We most definitely recommend Belinda, her family and the Pearl of Contentment Retreat and hope to return one day.

  • Maureen and Peter are great hosts and have plenty of personality. We needed to check in a little early to change for a wedding that we were going to, no problem, we were made to feel right at home as soon as we arrived. Maureen made sure that we had everthing we needed as we were coming back late. The queen size bed and pillows were very comfortable and the large bathroom was very clean with generous size fluffy thick towels. Really nice continental breakfast with fresh fruit and cereals and crossaint etc. And plenty of good conversation. We will stay again, Thank you Maureen and Peter

  • Quiet and peaceful. Maureen and Peter were fantastic hosts, making us feel right at home. We only wish we had more time to stay!

    Adrienne2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen and her husband Peter are wonderful hosts. We decided to spend a night here after a long day of hiking at Lamington National Park before heading back to Brisbane. It was such a lovely treat to stay here as the views from the property are fantastic. If you are an animal lover, this place is for you. Not only were we greeted by our hosts, but also four dogs as well! Not to mention the other horses, cows, geese, ducks, birds, and Archie the cat who apparently rules the entire house. Despite being surrounded by animals, the surrounding air and the entire house was very pleasant smelling. Our bed was extremely comfortable as well as our own private bathrooms and showers made it especially relaxing. We had a great night's sleep and the occasional noises from the geese can wake you up but it did not bother us at all. In addition, the breakfast served in the morning consisted of tea/coffee/toast/cereal/fruits was just what we needed before heading back on the road. Overall, would highly recommend to stay after a long hike at any of the surrounding national parks with this lovely couple.

  • Had a lovely relaxed stay. Very clean. Amazing views. Comfy lounge with fireplace. Great nights sleep is comfortable bed. Had a excellent meal at the Canungra Pub only about a 10 min drive away. Moon rise was perfect. Kangaroos around in the morning as was the Peacock. Ian responded quickly to texts very welcoming. Would highly recommend. :)

  • Ian was a wonderful host. He was friendly and accommodative, while communication was easy and key exchange was hassle free. His house has a gorgeous view that left my family and I breathless at times. It's the perfect place to wind-down and relax as his place is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. A car is definitely recommended as you wouldn't want to miss an evening drive around the beautiful mountain landscape. Edward the neighborhood peacock will often pop by and it's a always a treat to just admire this beautiful creature- especially when he has his feathers pan out. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would definitely love to go back.

    Adriana2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ian has created a lovely, comfortable and tastefully decorated home at Bluehaven. Photos can't quite grasp the incredible views that you are presented with as you step out onto the balcony! Lounging on the outdoor sofas with a book is absolute tranquility and you cant resist relaxation with the indoor fireplace and cozy couches in the living room. We were visited by Edward The Resident Peacock during our stay, he was a lovely surprise. Ian's place has a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need and more to prepare your own meals if you bring your own food supplies. We highly recommend this as there really is no need to leave once you get there, however there are restaurants and takeaways about a 15 - 20 minute drive away if you wish to venture out. The scenery is well worth taking a drive! We highly recommend a stay at Bluehaven!

The Cedar Room is a self-contained suite with a private outdoor sitting area from which to enjoy the native wildlife or settle back with a good book. Continental breakfast and cheese platter on arrival is included in the tariff. Only 30 minutes from the Gold Coast, and 5 min from Binna Burra, Lamington National Park, we are ideally situated for bushwalkers, birdwatchers, photographers, and those looking for an escape from city life. A quiet, private retreat in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The Cedar Room has a comfortable double bed and private ensuite. There is a kitchenette with microwave (no stove-top or oven), electric frypan, toaster, sandwich maker and egg cooker. There are large windows to see out to beautiful gardens and to view the many birds moving throughout the property anytime of the day. A selection of tea, coffee and cereal is provided and a breakfast tray including fruit, yoghurt, and breads will be placed in your fridge upon arrival. Your ensuite includes towels, toiletries, hairdryer and basic first aid kit.
  • We would recommend this stay to anybody who wants to get away for a peaceful quiet break, away from it all in extremely comfortable and clean accommodation. The cheese platter and breakfast was a great touch. Make sure you make the most of Kens passion for the surrounding area and his knowledge of the local wildlife. A must do is to spend time in his aviary which is home to an amazing collection of finches and other birds which he encourages you to enjoy. Mike & Leanne

  • Loved our stay at Ken and Karens place, so peaceful! Just what we needed and more... Karen had gone the extra mile with homemade touches all over our room (baking, soap etc.) Ken was so kind to show us around his magnificent property and give us some tips on the trails in the national park. We would love to come back!

  • Sue's place is the perfect retreat. Nestled in a very scenic part of Birra Burra, the house was picturesque, homely, clean and had everything we needed. Her communication was excellent and checking in/out was a breeze. There was a complimentary basket of goodies and info on arrival which made our welcome extra special. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us x

  • This is a 5 star house! Simply beautifully presented and gorgeous in every way. It was tremendously comfortable and felt so homey. We stayed over the Easter weekend and our host Sue sent us a text wishing us a Happy Easter and a wonderful stay! The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of soft, fluffy towels and blankets for the chilly nights. The room all had individual wall mounted heaters and we enjoyed the log fire. Sue made sure there were plenty of logs, too. We will be back! If you want a first class vacation spot, look no further. Thanks for having us!

    Laura2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Beautiful home, fantastic property and perfect location for a 'green getaway'. Our family of five enjoyed the lux comforts of the house and had fun around the fire pit at night. Mountain Queen was only a short drive to the start of the Binna Burra bush walks, so you are close to the activity without being stuck in the middle of it. Sue was a great host and answered our questions quickly and had a lovely welcome gift hamper on arrival. We will be back Mountain Queen!

  • This house is gorgeous, beautifully equipped, such attention to comfort! Heating in each room, fireplace, hamper with good wine, thoughtfully decked out kitchen for 'home cooking', great foxtel library, walking maps and great recommendations in book. Decor amazing. We loved it. Our girls (6 and 4) absolutely adored the menagerie of birds, especially the curious cockatoos visiting the deck, helped by the thoughtfully provided bird seed. Impeccably clean. Sue was a fantastic communicator. We walked national parks by day and relaxed in comfort in the evening. We will return.

  • We highly recommend this beautiful house for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The place is beautifully presented, clean, and well appointed. It was a lot more spacious than we expected. The deck is a glorious place to spend time, and we spotted much wildlife and enjoyed the views from here. Even though it was raining while we stayed, the fireplace and heaters kept us warm, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed (and more) was thoughtfully provided. We had a baby with us and Sue was most helpful with accommodating our special request. We can't wait to come back!

  • We had a group of 6 people staying, and Sue was incredibly helpful and hospitable. The house is immaculately clean and tidy and well presented. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was easy to use. The complimentary bottle of wine and already made up fireplace were such warm gestures. Thanks so much for this stay, we hope to come again!

This spectacular house is in Lamington National Park overlooking the Coomera and Numinbah Valleys. The house is perfect for couples, families and groups of up to 8 friends. The house is on freehold land inside Lamington National Park, about 500 metres from Binna Burra Lodge and several track entrances to the park.
  • Absolutely adored the location and waking up to the sunrise and birds on the balcony. An amazing place to stay and at the doorstep to a lot of the nearby walks. Had an amazing and relaxing three days and wish I could've stayed longer! The artwork by Tony's son that hangs around the house is also beautiful and you can check out his home studio and gallery just down the road.

  • Beautiful big architectural designed house, with fantastic views and fireplace. Walking distance to all the trails of Binna Burra.

    Adam2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The views and location of this house cannot be beat - amazing views of the surrounding forests, mountains and coastline. Easy access to all the Binna Burra bushwalks and hiking trails. The house itself is a lovely open mountain house, which means you have to expect a bit of nature inside. Some parts of the house are a bit dusty and musty, you'll have moths attracted to the lights at night etc so beware if you suffer from allergies. The bathrooms are good and clean and the bedding was fresh. Most kitchen basics are provided. During our stay Tony was very accommodating and acted swiftly to replace a broken fridge.

  • Originally, we were looking for a place closer to the city as we wanted to visit the theme parks but couldn't find any locations within our budget. When we found out about Marilyn's place, we figured that it was within reasonable distance from the city and we really enjoy being in nature so we decided to give it a shot. We were in a bit of a rush to find a place so we did not look too much into the surroundings. To our surprise, Marilyn's property is adjacent to several farms and we were in awe while we drove to her property. One of the most amazing aspects about this property is the scenery; we felt like we were in the middle of a painting. Next to the house, there were wild kangaroos and wallabies hopping about, and our eight year old couldn't contain her excitement about the animals throughout our entire stay. The property may be quite secluded, but we had no trouble driving to the nearest grocery store to stock up on whatever we needed. Besides food, everything we needed was already provided so all you need is to bring enough food and be there to enjoy the nature. This is truly a wonderful property and Marilyn is also an amazing host. She took the extra effort to make sure that our stay was smooth and comfortable. The only aspect we regret is that our stay was too short for us to fully explore the surroundings of the property and do the activities that were suggested in the handy "guidebook" provided. We will definitely come back in the future and dedicate our stay in the area. One aspect to keep in mind is to make sure your car can handle a bit of rough road. There is an unpaved part of Biddaddaba Creek Road that is a bit hard to drive on if you travel a bit further past the property.

  • Second visit, love this place simple and perfectly suited to my needs. I will be back, thanks to hosts and permanent resident upstairs who is just delightful.

  • Looking for an authentic bush home and setting this is it! Whilst the decor is basic, there are some beautiful antique elements to add character to the space. Bigger than I thought with blessed rainwater to drink and shower/bath in. Silence!!! I was attending a reining clinic at Wicks Equine 1 kilometre down the road, perfect location! Loved it so much extended my stay! Host was amazing support, my first booking. Greeted by kangaroos and birdsong and by the 3 gorgeous cats who live upstairs. I will be back. Big thank you to the host.

Our place is close to Tamborine Mountain, Canungra, 13km from Albert River Winery & 25kms to O'Reilly's Vineyard. Only an hr from Brisbane & the Gold Coast. Our place is lovely with a warm homely feel because of its Country style. Set on 490 acres. Beautiful & picturesque. Great for adventurers and families..
Nestled in the beautiful Scenic Rim..hot air balloons drifting over from the Canungra valley..cattle grazing on the flat..horses swimming in the dam
  • Darryl Kerrigan from the Castle couldn't have said it better "The Serenity". The space inside and out, very comfortable even with two families mixed boys and girls. Outdoor fire great, indoor fire necessary in winter. Will be back again.

  • Lovely secluded spot, quiet and cozy. Great for a real get away from it all break. Hosts so helpful with late checkin, and lovely grazing plate on arrival.

  • This is a wonderful farmstay really conveniently located to tambourine mountain and oreilly's / the lost world etc. A great base to explore this part of the scenic rim from. The house is very homely and comfortable and Angela is a generous host with great communication. We were very happy to be able to bring our dogs who enjoyed their walks around the property. We hope to be back sometime!

  • Beautiful farmstay in a secluded location in front of a small dam. Feels very isolated but it's about 30 mins away from mt Tamborine

    Kenneth2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's farmhouse is perfect for a relaxing weekend away! A spacious house for 3-4 couples, an awesome outdoor bbq area, a beautiful private dam. A tranquil setting without another soul in sight!

Completely relax in this beautiful cottage located right in town with lots of privacy & greenery. Kick back on the verandah with a drink & watch the sun set behind the mountain. Then stroll to the pub, RSL, sushi or pizza place for dinner
This little cottage is about 115 years old. It is totally renovated and has the original wide, hardwood floorboards in the lounge room. It is a very peaceful place with lots of bird song in the morning and relaxing sounds of crickets at night. The front verandah has a lovely view to the hills and is a beautiful spot to relax with a drink at the end of the day. My cat stays in the house while guests are visiting.. he is very affectionate and loves snuggling up to people. He will lie on you while you are watching telly and in bed etc (he makes a fabulous hot water bottle!) Most people love this but if you don't like cats in your personal space then this house might not suit. ** If you would like to stay longer than 2 nights and would prefer the house to be cat-free, I can arrange for him to stay elsewhere during your stay, please contact me for a chat about this. Included in your stay: Towels and linen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, plunger coffee, tea.
This is a very beautiful town with a great community feel. Because we only have one main street with all the shops, it all feels very localised and everything is so easy to get to and enjoy. It is a perfect base for those who love hiking or just visiting rain forests and wineries…within about 30min drive we have: O'Reillys, BinnaBurra, Mt Tamborine and about 45mins is the beautiful Springbrook. Canungra Winery, located on a creek with lots of resident Platypus is just 10min drive away.
  • We enjoyed our stay and loved sitting out on the deck until sundown. After dinner, we progressed to the fireplace where we spent hours chatting. Easy walk to the main street where there are a number of cafes.

  • This place is a great place for a weekend escape. Lots of character, cosy and lovely gardens. Everything is well catered for, clean and well kept. Really good location, close to everything, but still far enough away that its still nice and quiet.

  • Enjoyed our night in Canungra, our highlights included Jeeves the cat, the piano and the fireplace.

    Jackie2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place is peaceful, quiet and comfortable. The piano and fireplace are nice touches. Great place to recharge your batteries, only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks Kara for being such a great host. Highly recommended!

  • We had a wonderfully relaxing girls weekend away at Kara's cosy cottage. Kara was a very welcoming and generous host. Her cottage is delightful and very close to cafes and all the amenities of Canungra. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Jeeves the cat was great company and very chilled and friendly. Thank you Kara.

    Rebecca2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Kara's place it was great to get away and escape the busyness of city life!It had everything we needed and it was such a cosy place with a great fire place to warm ourselves in front of. You are able to easily walk to cafes and get take away if you don't feel like cooking. Plus there is plenty in the area and surrounds to go and see and do. You also get to share your stay with the gorgeous Jeeves the cat who is adorable and a great companion in front of the fire. He had such a placid nature I wanted to take him home! I can't wait to come and stay again next time I'm in QLD. Thanks Kara to being a great host and being so responsive whenever we had a question or query!

  • Kara's home was so warm and relaxing. Beautifully decorated with gorgeous views. You automatically feel relaxed. Loved the fire place as well. Canungra and surrounding area is a great spot to visit

  • Kara's home is a warm and welcoming space with a beautiful view of the surrounds. Kara was an amazing host and I highly recommend doing the yoga class offered by Kara - it was definitely a highlight of our holiday! Our family loved the town and it's community feel. I highly recommend staying at this house - a home away from home.

  • Lynne is a fantastic host who respected our privacy but also more than happy to share conversation. If you are after privacy and an approachable, friendly host this is the place for you.

    Nicole2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was very uncomplicated to stay with Lynne. She leaves a lot of privacy. We only saw her to check in. She was open to help us with all questions we had. The Appartement was big enough for 4 people. It is modern and decorated with a lot of details. The breakfast she provided was good. I can recommend to stay here if you are flexible and have your own car.

    Jessica2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lynne provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the poolside spa was a real treat after a busy day. Plenty of privacy and a quiet location - we hope to come again.

  • Good communication and excellent value made this a great stay for our business trip, thanks Lynne

  • Canungra was a perfect location to access Mt Tambourine, and Lamington National Park (without the mountain price tag!). First experience with airbnb and were so impressed by the host, the fantastic accomodation (great value for money, super comfy bed with simple elegent decor, very private, undercover parking, spacious..), the pool and spa and all the little extras that made for a perfect stay. Make sure you book on for one of Lynne's treatments - the massage was perfect after a big day hiking. Very close to town, and close to all local amenities - pub, shops etc. Am sure this place will not be a secret for long, and am sure we will be back!

    Ken2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn's place is beautiful. Right in town, 5min walk from shops and the pub. The hot tub is a priceless treat to have on a cool night. She is super nice and accommodating with check in / out times. Couldn't rate Lynne and her place any higher :)

  • We LOVED our stay and cannot wait to comeback. Next time I will build a spa visit into our trip for sure. I feel so relaxed and our children loved the pool and spa. Thanks Lynne!!!

    Cath2016-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay at Lynne's place - it was a great size, lovely and clean, a quick walk to dinner and had everything we needed. And the hot tub under the stars was perfect! Thanks Lynne for looking after us :)
