The Cawlfield House (Circa 1929)

The historic Cawlfield House was built by my grandfather in 1929. It has been beautifully restored with modern amenities and comforts. It has an updated Kitchen, Living, Dining, Bath, Office & 2 Bedrooms (1 plush queen bed down, 1 plush queen bed up & 1 trundle bed). ALL the furnishings are new, with most from Joanna Gaines collections. We've strived to consider your needs, inc. A/C & hope you choose to stay with us & that you'll love our home it's comforts and it's history as much as we do!

This two-year-old cozy little house is located on a small working ranch in Harney County, Oregon. Come to the ranch and relax in the wide open or go explore the many things around the county. Room for a horse in the corrals or pasture. Well-mannered dogs welcome, but please bring a bed or crate for them. I'd rather not have animals on the furniture. High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

You will be within walking distance of everything you need for your stay. Visit the shops, restaurants, and bars downtown. Movie theater just two blocks away and Safeway grocery only 3.5 blocks away. Mainstreet is 2 blocks away and there are places to eat or drink. The Central Hotel is 1 1/2 block away. The Harney County Court House is 6 blocks and Harney District Hospital is 8 blocks. House has plenty of light, it is open, and warmly inviting.
