  • The space was even more inviting in person. We were so sad to leave! Comfy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. The natural light was amazing. Lee was a phenomenal host - super kind and communicative during a turbulent time (covid-19).

  • Marlena was an amazing host, picked us up and drove us from the ferry, showed us the town. The place was beautiful and clean and something from a dream.

    Abraham2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Marlena is a Superhost for a very good reason! We arrived on the ferry and she was there to greet us and take our luggage to her house, allowing us to walk to the Saturday market and enjoy lunch in the village. When we arrived at our accommodation, just 3 doors from lovely Hordens beach, we found a freshly baked loaf waiting for us, together with a quality bottle of cab sav. In the fridge were two litres of milk (skim and regular) eggs and butter. There was every kind of tea, coffee and condiments one could wish for, plus sunscreen and insect repellent for forgetful guests. The final touch was a selection of extra hot chillies from the garden. The accommodation was spacious and fully equipped, with very comfortable beds and two modern bathrooms. There was also a large outdoor area with plenty of casual seating, plus a dining table and chairs, which gave us a relaxed, homely feel. I told Marlena I was a cyclist and she lent me one of her excellent bikes for the duration of our stay. It was particularly useful to visit the many artists’ studios on the monthly Art Trail. When we told her that we were walkers she recommended the Wattamolla to Bundeena track and very kindly drove us to the start - and it indeed was a superb walk. My walking companion left his walking pole at home and guess what, Marlena was there to lend him one! Needless to say she drove us to the ferry on our departure (late check out). Thank you Malena from the both of us, for a fabulous stay. You hosted us way beyond our expectations. 😊👏

    Norman2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marlena’s place is perfect for an easy beach getaway. The place itself has lots of space, is very clean and Marlena has thought of everything you may need for a holiday whether it be sunscreen, beach towels or reusable shopping bags. Marlena also left us some bread eggs and milk which was lovely. Just at the end of the street is the beach meaning you can have as many swims a day as you want and the shops are a 5 minute walk either along the beach or up the road. The bed was very comfortable and sitting outside to eat dinner was lovely. We will be back to visit again as Marlena is a lovely host who will go out of her way to make you comfortable and the place is perfect for a beach holiday

    Laura2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marlena’s place is very special. We loved sitting on the veranda at night and listening to the waves and the birds. Marlena made our stay special with thoughtful touches. Everything thing we needed to enjoy our stay was provided. Marlena provided us with information about the native wildlife, and we loved watching king parrots and rainbow lorikeets visit the backyard. When we return to Australia, we plan to stay at Marlena’s.

    Kerrie2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay, Marlina was a marvellous host!

    Katrina2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marlena is an exceptional host and a delightful person. Her home is just minutes from the beach, private, spacious and with every convenience. We loved our stay.

    Kath2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marlena is the kindest, friendliest and most helpful host ever! She made our stay special! The lovely touches and always there to make sure that our stay was comfortable! She brought us on a tour of the village when we arrived, and drove us to the start point of the coastal walk so that we could park our car at the end point. She is just so special! The coastal walk is a must do! The view is spectacular, one of the best day walks I have done! The proximity to the beach (2min walk) is a big bonus! We love the stroll along the beach in the evenings. We would definitely be back if we are in the area! Thanks Marlena for taking such good care of us! Our daughter Alexis adores you!

    Bundeena, NSW, Australia

Bundeena Beach House is special because of its amazing location. Set right on Litttle Gunyah Beach, it is one of Bundeena's original fishing huts that has been lovingly restored. Full of natural light, with 2-bedrooms (1xKing & 1xQueen) both with en-suites Bundeena Beach House is relaxed, comfortable and a perfect place to escape the world. Facing north across the sparkling waters of Port Hacking, it is one of the best spots in Bundeena to enjoy Port Hacking & explore The Royal National Park.
As our guest you will have sole access to the property. We maintain the upper house for private family use, but we generally do not stay when we have guests - occasionally we may be upstairs and I will always let you know, however we will not disturb you and it is all yours to enjoy with amazing isolation and privacy. From the garage to the entrance, there are approximately 35 steps to reach the front door; for guests with limited mobility access is difficult. Once you arrve and settle in, there is really no reason to leave until you go. Bundeena Beach House has a full kitchen (it is well equipped with 2 new ovens, a dishwasher, microwave, large fridge and nespresso machine), a combined sitting and dining room (with oversized linen sofa, television & dvd player) and bifold doors which open across the full width of the room to a covered deck directly above the beach. It feels like you are on a boat. Accommodation is 2 bedrooms both with storage and ensuites. The main guest bedroom (King bed) opens up to the sitting area and has views to the beach. The second guest room (Queen bed) with ensuite is located in 'The Shack', a stand-alone cottage, which may possibly be the best bedroom in the world! Next to the kitchen is a covered BBQ deck area with outdoor table, bench seats and a well used and much-loved bbq. Bring your favourite foods, and this becomes the best restaurant in Bundeena. We have recently renovated and we have a full laundry (large new washing machine and dryer) for your personal use and convenience.
Bundeena is an isolated and relaxed Sydney beachside suburb within The Royal National Park. Located on the shores of Port Hacking, our clean & calm waterways are perfect for fishing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Bundeena Kayaks located at Bonnievale hire both on an hourly basis and they also offer guided kayaking tours which can be booked online at: (URL HIDDEN) Morning walks along Jibbon or Hordern's beaches are easy, while the walk from the top of Eric Street out to The Balconies and along The Coast Track to Wedding Cake Rock/Little Marley Beach is more challenging but spectacular. Bundeena is the gateway to over 100kms of bush walking tracks in the Royal National Park & the village embraces nature and the native birdlife which is everywhere. Should it not be beachy weather, a drive south through the National Park towards Wattamolla, Gerie Beach and the pretty coastal towns including Stanwell Park, Scarborough, Austimere and Coledale is a great adventure. You can go hang-gliding at Stanwell Tops, grab lunch at at the Scarborough Hotel beer garden or enjoy brunch at The Coal Coast Eatery in Coledale.
  • Returning guests - very happy guests - loved it as much as the first time we went. Penny is very helpful and quick to respond. Property location can’t beat. Home was very clean with new linen, a new BBQ and lots of coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. We can’t wait to book again in the future !

  • This house is perfect for a weekend getaway. The moment you walk through the door you can hear the sounds of the lapping ocean. The house is stylish and well appointed; the kitchen has all the big and small appliances, the views are stunning and the linen is the best. I would thoroughly recommend this home.

    Vicki2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We shared the beach house with friends it was the most fabulous location right on the waterfront . The paddle boards were a great addition and we took along the tinny with the beautiful waters to enjoy . Fish were not biting but we happily took walks to eating places close by and also had amazing pizzas delivered one night . We could not have wished for anything else we loved our stay and I’m sure we will return & spread the word happily Thanks for everything Penny

    Belinda2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a truly wonderful 2 days at Penny’s place. 2 nights just wasn’t enough! We are already planning our return visit. The home is perfectly equipped with everything you need to entertain yourself, and beds were unbelievably comfortable. Penny was super quick to respond via text. It was the perfect time away for 4 stressed out city workers. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Penny!

  • As we live in such a busy area of Sydney, my partner and I booked Penny's place for a peaceful, relaxing getaway that was remote. Penny's place had an amazing location right on the beach with a beautiful drive through the National Park to get there. The sound of the waves are so close it makes it hard not to relax! The space is big for a couple, but not too big so it still felt intimate. Everything was sparkling clean and all ammenities there to use (in fact we over packed) The balcony area was our favourite spot to have a morning coffee or afternoon read with an amazing sunset. Penny provided really comfortable beanbags which were perfect. We were initially after a location with total privacy so was surprised when both houses either side were booked out with big groups who were out in their outdoor spaces and on the beach in front of us most of the time. There were plenty of other residents/holiday families walking past our place also so we did lack that privacy aspect but in the end it didn't matter because everything else made up for it! Penny's responses were super quick - such a fabulous host.

  • The weather was not in our side this trip but we loved the place all the same, and will be back again.

  • An amazing spot! We had a super relaxing weekend at Penny's place. It's the perfect spot to do nothing at all. We were constantly hypnotized by the sound of the bay. A truly magical spot with everything you need for a special weekend away - our new favourite spot to unwind and recharge.

    Bundeena, NSW, Australia

'Absolute Beachfront' is a high-end contemporary home with direct access to Bundeena's most secluded Gunyah beach. It doesn't get closer than this!
This classic beach-house has mesmerising water views from every room; those stresses will fall away as you drift off to the rhythmic sound of gentle waves lapping up against the shore below. Bring your snorkeling gear to explore the tranquil, clear waters with its interesting marine life right out front. Or just relax on the hammock in the sea breeze while keeping watch over Port Hacking Bay for pods of dolphins and the odd seal known to cruise past unannounced! There are other beaches on either side of Gunyah, and lots of bush-walking tracks to explore nearby. Bundeena also hosts an 'Art Trail' on the first Sunday every month, showcasing works of its artist community. It's just a short (5-10 minute) walk to local cafes, a supermarket, kid's park and the wharf from which a dinky little ferry sails to Cronulla on the hour throughout the day! Upon arrival you park in the carport above, and then walk down three flights of stairs to enter the house at the upper level. This level has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area leading out to a large sundeck overlooking the beach. There's also a bedroom, and a bathroom with dual basins and a rain shower on this level. Internal stairs take you down to the lower level where there is a 2nd living area/sunroom leading out to another balcony. There are three more bedrooms: one with a queen bed; another with a triple (double below/single on top) bunk bed, and a 4th with a king single-size sofa bed, as well as a 2nd bathroom on this level. The 4th bedroom leads out to the side deck, which has an outdoor dining setting and 6 burner BBQ. Stairs lead further down from here past an outdoor shower, to the gate that opens directly onto the beach! Please note though that while it's easy to think that Bundeena is just a regular Sydney suburb, it is in fact a small enclave embedded in the Royal National Park, which has a rich range of natural flora and fauna. 'Absolute beachfront' is also located right next to a nature reserve. So you need to enjoy being 'at one with nature' i.e. not put out by being woken by a riot of kookaburras having a lively conversation on the balcony, or by sharing your shower with the odd (friendly) grasshopper, as I did just this morning! Leaves and bark can also accumulate quickly so the outdoor decks and stairs may need an occasional sweep (broom provided!). But it's definitely worth it to experience this unique piece of Australian coastal paradise.
  • Fabulous location right on the beach - stunning!

    Penny2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • ‘Absolute Beachfront’ is a very special spot with the most amazing views....certainly lives up to its name! The family and I loved being able to walk straight out the bottom gate on to Gunyah Beach for a quick dip, snorkel, paddle or even a bit of beach cricket. Ingrid provides a home away for home and a perfect haven to unwind. Highly recommended.

    Jude2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay over New Year, absolutely amazing location, right on a small beach. Very close to the village amenities, you can walk there via the beach or road. Fantastic views and lovely comfortable house, everything you need. They even gave us a bottle of champagne for NY, how kind. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach escape.

    Janine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Having enjoyed our initial stay 12 months ago so much, we returned for another visit. We weren’t disappointed in any way, and hope to stay in this great house and fantastic location again soon.

  • We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Ingrids place in Bundeena. The location on the beachfront is beautiful and the space is great. We didn’t want to leave!

    Clare2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic site and location. Plenty of room. Everything you need is on tap. There are 2 living areas and 3 outside areas I really can’t fault it for comfort.

    Moira2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Absolute Beachfront. The location is superb, looking straight out across the bay. Every room has a view and whatever the weather it is beautiful. The direct beach access makes it so easy to enjoy swimming and fishing too. It is a short walk to the shops which is great when you're on holidays. The house is well equipped and comfortable and was sparkling clean. Ingrid is a great host. We found her communication to be excellent and she responded quickly when we needed assistance. It comes with my highest recommendation.

  • Rhonda is a delightful hostess, making us feel very welcome in her home. The facilities are spacious and clean, it was very reasonably priced and a continental breakfast was provided in the cost. It is very conveniently located, close to a huge Westfield shopping centre, restaurants and within walking distance of a train station, making it ideal for travellers without their own transport to get in and out of the city or down to Cronulla Beach, it is also only about 15- 20 mins drive away from the beautiful Royal National Park. We had a great stay & would highly recommend it to anyone.

Charming house with lush gardens on the water at peaceful Gunyah Beach, with a beautiful secluded beach right out the front and spectacular water views from a large deck. Feels a world away yet only 1 hour from Sydney.
This house has a charming, unique feel and hard to beat water views. Light and bright, north facing. Main living and eating areas face directly out to a large deck and the beautiful water views. You will also love the lush garden and stairs down to the beach with a lovely shady grassy area. We have a boat shed that houses several comfortable chairs to use on the grass, 2 small kayaks, 2 magoo paddle boards and some other beach games and inflatables. You will likely be the only people on the beach at some point during your stay (almost guaranteed in the off season). There is decent snorkeling directly off the left of the beach in front of the house. In the house itself there is a good sized main bedroom upstairs with king bed as well as a large bedroom downstairs with a Queen bed + 2 singles. The 3rd bedroom is a sunroom with a single bed. We allow 7 guests maximum and there is an extra fee of $50 per person for 6 or more guests. There is a second living area downstairs which is ideal for kids as a play & TV area. The bathroom has a shower as well as spa bath. We will provide all bed, bathroom & kitchen linen & bath towels. You just need to bring beach towels. The kitchen has basic supplies such as olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, tea, coffee. There is a Nespresso coffee machine (for which we will leave capsules). There is a Weber gas BBQ on the deck. There are some games and toys you are welcome to use and 2 televisions (upstairs, downstairs). The house has no wi fi but excellent mobile reception (many parts of Bundeena don't). There is a UE boom sound system (use with Phone or wireless). It is a short walk to the main beach (Hordens), the local IGA which has everything you need plus several cafes and other shops. It is a few minutes from the local RSL which was rebuilt recently. All Bundeena beaches are excellent for kids with hardly any swell. Catching the ferry to Cronulla is a lovely outing (ferries go regularly) and there are many bush walks, both short and long, close by. It is easy to catch public transport from Sydney if you don't have a car. You catch a train to Cronulla then its a short walk to the ferry.

All Bundeena beaches are excellent for kids with hardly any swell. We have 2 small kayaks and 2 Magoo paddle boards that you can use to explore the beautiful calm waters (including life jackets for kids). There is also a lovely shady grassy area next to the beach and several comfortable chairs to use there. Catching the ferry to Cronulla is a great outing (they go on the hour every hour), we often go over for lunch. There are also many bush walks, both short and long, close by.
  • Fabulous location, perfect weekend escape!

    Penny2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend away at Claire's place. The location is even better than expected. You can sit on the verandah, gaze out and drink in those water views all day! The house is clean, well equipped with lots of little extras, and very comfortable. Private access to the beach is amazing, very protected and safe to swim. Short walk to the beautiful Jibbon beach, cant wait to come back and spend some more time here.

  • Great place and location. Spectacular views

    Xuan Khoa2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a little slice of heaven, book Claire’s place! Our family stayed for 5 nights and were very reluctant to leave. Claire provided excellent notes covering entry and everything we needed to know, she was very quick to respond to any queries. We ate all our meals on the large deck that hosts a spectacular view of the bay day and night. When we weren’t there, we made good use of the secluded little beach enjoying the paddle boards and kayaks and just swimming. We weren’t indoors much but the house accommodated five of us comfortably and we also had the studio for 2 nights while family joined us. Claire has thought of everything from comfy beds to expresso coffee and the house was sparkling clean. We hiked gorgeous trails, took the ferry across the bay and collected beautiful seashells. If you enjoy being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean and waking to birdsong, this is the place for you.

  • The house is very clean and for my purposes was in a great location and at a great price. Steven's communication was timely and great and despite my coming and going at different hours his setup helped in that regard. I hope that I can stay there again in future trips to that area.

Untouched beaches, the Royal National Park, cultural and historical walks, a thriving art scene, aboriginal rock carvings, kayac and paddleboard hire, cafes, local musical events, are just a handful of the many attractions Bundeena has to offer. We have a well stocked supermarket that is open from 8am to 8pm. Bundeena also has: chemist, newsagent, petrol station, resident doctor, ambulance station, fire station. We are lucky to have a selection of cafes for those times you just want to kick back and look at the view and recently a newly opened restaurant. We have a local bowling club that also has a restaurant. The name Bundeena is an aboriginal word meaning “noise like thunder” and when you hear the waves lap up against the white sand its easy to understand why. On Bundeena's southern edge, footsteps of the people who walked before us echo across the land. On the beach and in the bush, there’s hidden evidence of a life well-lived… you simply need to know where to look. Only nine generations ago, before European colonisation, Jibbon headland in Royal National Park was home to the Dharawal people. Standing on Jibbon beach you would have seen women coming ashore from bark canoes (nuwi) with their morning catch of fish (magura). Men returning from their morning hunt with banggarai the swamp wallaby and heard the sound of kids laughter (djanaba) at camp. That was less than 250 years ago. What remains? You’ll find a mostly deserted golden sand beach, possibly a sleek sailboat bobbing offshore, and a friendly nod from a local Bundeena resident enjoying the rare coastal seclusion of a place that’s still geographically in Sydney. Take a closer look and you’ll discover an open air museum of Aboriginal Sydney. You will find traces of the original inhabitants, the Dharawal people in rock carvings and middens throughout the area. A 55km drive south of Sydney, or a relaxing ferry crossing from Cronulla, the area is saturated with some of the best scenery in the state. Shake off the dust of the city on a 2 day walk along the 26 kilometre coastal track to Otford (or just tackle a part of it). We have 3 cafes if you fancy just chilling out and watching the world go by. The local bowling club is also open as a restaurant. Bundeena has one of the highest concentrations of artists in NSW and it’s easy to see why they are drawn here. Be sure to explore the Bundeena & Maianbar Art Trail on the 1st Sunday of the month, the same day as the local markets. Bundeena and Maianbar offer a wealth of beautiful scenery as well as plenty of outdoor activities, shops, cafes, and overnight accommodation, only an hour south of Central Sydney. There is a ferry between Cronulla and Bundeena. The journey takes around 20 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and it makes for a lovely way to travel betwen the two towns, so if you fancy a day in Cronulla with all the shops, cafes and restaurants it has to offer, you can easily escape back to the peace and tranquility of Bundeena.
  • We spent almost 2 weeks at Bundeena Base. The location is great, near beaches and shops. The accommodation is the bottom half of a house, the owners live upstairs so you need to be aware that you won't have total privacy, but it is still 100% better than a holiday park or similar. The beds were the best I've found in holiday accomodation, just about anything you need is supplied and the pool is lovely. It inside isn't large but the backyard is and includes a very handy undercover area with a bbq. Hilde has added so many lovely touches to make you feel at home, and we felt very comfortable. Thank you Hilde :)

    Seana2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a spectacular location - simply the perfect base to spend the days exploring the local beaches and Royal National Park tracks followed by a refreshing dip in your very own pool. Hilde and Dave were great hosts providing lots of personal touches to make our stay truly memorable from the freshly baked bread to the pool toys and towels for every occasion. Thank you, we will be back!

    Kelvyn2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Hilde was very thoughtful in providing a space that was suited to all our needs including providing items that helped with looking after my friend's baby. The place was clean and the location is great; being a short walk away to the local shops and beaches. Would definitely recommend spending some time here.

    Callum2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great spacious venue within walking distance to centre of town and the beach.

    Amanda2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Hilde! We had a fantastic weekend in Bundeena. Your communication was outstanding and greatly appreciated considering the circumstances the week before with the bushfires in Sydney. Our children loved the pool and the short walk to the beach. The property was very clean and you went above and beyond to ensure that everything we needed was there for our arrival. Thank you again!

    Julia2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We recently stayed here and had the most fantastic time all thanks to Hilde and her beautiful home. We had two small kids and everything we needed was there, a rarity when we have stayed at other places. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, beautiful decor with some amazing paintings from a local artist. Location is great and within walking distance to Bundeena village. Will definitely recommend here and look forward to booking again to fully avail of the pool.

    Lisa2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home with everything you need for your stay. Plenty of room, clean and great location - just a short walk to everything you need. Lots of great extra touches like bathrobes, pool towels and a very generous welcome pack. Was perfect for us with young children but would suit all age groups. Hilde is very responsive and the space is very quiet, no noise from above. Hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool for longer! Thank you

    Gemma2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great views and prime location in Bundeena. The property was very nice and fit all 8 of us comfortably. Wish we had stayed in Summer so that we could have enjoyed the pool.

  • Jill is a great host, and this is a great base for exploring the Royal National Park and beautiful Bundeena.

    Laurence2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect holiday house for a trip away with kids, Jill’s house came with baby gate to block off stairs, a high chair and a cupboard full of toys which kept my 1 year old daughter entertained for our whole stay. The house itself is beautiful, the views are amazing and location is very convenient. A quick walk to shops and beach which we managed easily enough even with a pram. Everything you could ever want to cook a delicious meal can be found in the kitchen or if cooking is not on your agenda we had great food from both Bundeena Pizza and the club just down the street. Would highly recommend Jill’s place to anyone looking for a beach getaway, especially those with kids.

    Moira2019-11-08T00:00:00Z

Would definitely stay here again if we do another trip to Bundeena.

  • We really enjoyed our long weekend at this delightful home. The house is bright and airy and sits high on the Hill with expansive water views. Bathrooms and kitchen are modern and extremely clean. The house has a beachy, holiday vibe. We loved sitting out on the deck enjoying the views and the local birdlife. When we arrived at the house, it was beautifully set up with a locked box for check-in as well as comprehensive notes about the operation of appliances within the home. There were plenty of towels, quality bed linen as well as nice bathroom soaps etc provided. In the kitchen were basic grocery staples such as salt, pepper, oil, garbage bags, gladwrap etc. Bundeena is a fantastic little community to spend a few days. We did walks within the national park as well as a ferry ride to Cronulla for a nice lunch. Also visited the local RSL for an easy dinner. Communication with the host was excellent, both before and during our stay. The photos really do not show how lovely this home is. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

This is a home not a house. It looks over Salmon Haul beach and is 3 minutes walk from Darook Park beach. The walking trail called the Esplanade goes directly below my house. You can walk to Cronulla along the Esplanade. We live in a lovely quiet area with lots of bird life.
My place is a warm family home.

  • The perfect Airbnb experience! A true home away from home, Ally and Gray are amazing hosts who make you feel welcome at all times. They provide everything you could possibly think of - and more! A huge bed, own bathroom/livingroom with snacks, beachtowels and a fridge! Everything is super clean and tidy. The area is really nice, calm and Cronulla beach is just two stations away by the train. This beach is not touristy and very nice with restaurants and an Esplanade. Also easy to go to Central Sydney by train! The best Airbnb stay we had in 4 months travel time, 100% recommended!

NEW LISTING Set in the heart of Bundeena, 50 metres from the beach and its nature reserve. 200 metres from the shops and cafes, yet set back from the hustle and bustle to provide a peaceful and relaxing home from home. This is one of the few properties in Bundeena that has a private swimming pool. 3 bedrooms: 2 queen beds, 2 single beds. Also can provide a toddler bed and a portacot but for bookings of more than 6 people, please contact us for details on how to book.
The property has a lovely open feel, with french doors opening up on the ground floor from both the dining room and the kitchen. Two of the bedrooms on the upper floor have doors opening onto the balcony that runs along the entire front of the property, giving a fantastic vantage point over looking Bundeena and the beach. Air conditioning on upper floor providing heating and cooling. Please not that there is no air conditioning on ground floor, there really isn't any need for this as the sea breezes will keep you cool during the summer period.
Bundeena is a quiet village on the edge of the Royal National Park. It's almost as if we are an island, far enough away from the 'real' world to be able to forget about the stresses of everday live. We have a selection of cafes, and restaurants, a fabulous supermarket, chemist and newsagency.

  • Ruth’s place is the perfect space to spend a few days in Bundeenah. We used the house a home base while hiking parts of the Royal National Park but it would serve equally well as just somewhere to hang out for a few days. The house is filled with light, centrally located and incredibly clean. Ruth’s cohost, Hilde was friendly, helpful and incredibly communicative.

BRAHMINI BUSH FOREST LODGE Brahmini is an aboriginal word meaning, Wild & Free. In Hindu, Brahmini also means, “Goddess” and “Guardian Against Misfortune”. Both cultural meanings of the name are truly fitting for this stunning estate, set on a 1700 sqm block in a location that is totally Wild yet Goddess gorgeous. Backing onto the Royal National Park, surrounded by thick bush forest offering an abundance of native birds, wildlife, and Freedom. ITS SIMPLY A PLACE TO GET LOST AND FIND YOURSELF!
A DAY IN THE LIFE A OF BRAHMINI LODGE GUEST. During your stay be awoken by the sounds of nature, with cicadas humming (seasonal) or perhaps the echoes of laughing kookaburras greeting the morning sky, on other days it may just simply be the sound of silence in the wilderness, or the tinkling sound of raindrops hitting the tin roof above, either way, you may have to pinch yourself awake as it can often feel like you have not yet awoken from a beautiful dream! Pull yourself out off one of two comfy king size beds or one queen size bed (3 separate private bedrooms) before warming up in the morning sun drenched chiefs style kitchen and feel the vibe of the positive chi flowing energy as the crystal sun catchers bounce an array of rainbow coloured lights around the entire room, while you help yourself to a latte or cappuccino with our barista style coffee machine. Flick through the Foxtel channels and record the latest movies or favourite sport channels for later viewing, or browse through the extensive DVD library to see what’s on offer. Time for some outdoor wilderness yoga or meditation on one of the three large private decks, a game of table tennis or simply lounge around on the double day beds and watch the wild life go by. However, don’t be alarmed if you are instead greeted by a low hovering, curious rescue helicopter above, just give them a wave and they will be on there way, its all normal given our location being just a very short distance, (100mtr) away from the entrance point of the famous bush walking tracks leading to the coastal walks, figure eight pools and wedding cake rock. You may even witness a chopper passing by with a large spa beneath on route for delivery to a neighbouring property… don’t panic, it’s all normal! Take advantage of the north east facing aspect of the home. Follow the suns journey from the front to the back deck, embracing every moment this beautiful natural landscape has to offer. Spot a deer grassing in the back yard, or become a cheering spectator to a flock of cockatoo’s joining forces to protect their nest from bush forest predictors, usually taking on large goanna’s scaling up the tree trunks intent on raiding a juicy nest, turning the peaceful and calming surrounds into a tree top battle field, which can sometimes last for hours. The floor to ceiling windows in every room offers ample opportunities to capture the stunning forest views and the ever-changing bush silhouette as the sun lights up and fades out the tree tops as it makes its way around to the west. Load yourself up with your favourite cocktail and make your way to the back deck for a glorious sun set viewing. The bold red, pastel pink and dramatic orange tones sweeping the sky through and beyond the bush forest only further enhances the already stunning views. Hungry… our chief style Frankie, 1200 gas cooktop, Teppanyaki hotplate with double oven, coupled with a double draw dish washer, makes light work to whip up a home cooked meal. Finish the day with a glass of champagne and a bubble bath for two in our luxury oversized freestanding stone bath. Who said, “life is better at the beach”? with all the sweaty crowds and hot sand… However, if it is the beach that you really want, then its only a 7min walk to Hordens or Jibbon beach and ferry wharf, alternately, 2min by car. If none of the above appeals to you, then you can always go bushwalking, 2min stroll to bush track entrance, kayaking from bonnie vale beach or take a 30min ferry trip to Cronulla beach for a variety of restaurants, shopping or take the train to Sydney CBD, 45min, 1hr 15min by car. This life style home has it all, offering a unique, relaxed and comfortable environment in which to unwind, destress and make every moment about you!
Bundeena is hidden beach oasis, located in the Royal National Park across the water from Cronulla Beach, and under an hours drive from Sydney CBD and airport. We have 5 stunning child friendly beaches and some of the best bushwalking tracks in Australia, figure 8 pools, wedding cake rock, Marley walk and Aboriginal paintings at Jibbon beach, just to name a few. In the summer months you can see whales from the cliffs on the coastal walk. The local town has a variety of casual dinning experiences to choose from, two clubs, Bundeena Bowling club and Bundeena Community Services club, a couple of cafes, catering for breakfast or dinner, and a fish and chip shop. We also have a large IGA with bottle shop open till 8pm, post office with banking facilities, three ATM machines located at the newsagency, club and Bundeena service station, a chemist and doctors surgery. You can hire Kayaks or paddle boards from Bonnie Vale beach. Fishing from the wharf or any of the beaches is great. There is a sand boat ramp located at Bonnie vale, you will need a 4wd to access this.
  • AIR B AND B REVIEW I would give five stars in all areas. This was an exceptional Air B and B nestled high in the trees. The outlook was lovely with lots of bird life. So many outdoor areas to enjoy. The house feels cozy with a great dining area, fully equipped modern kitchen with an open lounge with comfortable couches. Beds are also comfortable with high end linen and towels. We hope to return one day.

    Cathy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This house exceeded my expectations. I needed somewhere I could host my 60th Birthday party and the outdoor area was absolutely perfect. We seated 30 people for dinner with plenty of mingling room also. The location of the house is excellent and very peaceful and adjoins the national park. We even saw a Dear in the back garden. Birdsong awoke us every morning. All the amenities were very good. Really great appliances in the modern kitchen especially the coffee machine and cooker. The bathroom was also very contemporary and super funky with bi-folding doors that opened out to the entertaining area which was extremely cool. Whilst two of the bedrooms are on the small side, the beds were very comfortable. The living room is well set up with a monster flat screen TV, which we didn't even turn on. There is an extra drinks fridge also which really helped our event. Rodney is a wonderful host and was always very accommodating and always responded extremely promptly..We will definitely be back at some stage.

    Jason2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic property. Sadly, it rained almost the entire stay, but that didn’t matter. The kitchen was a beautiful space to cook in, lots of area to sit and chat with friends, a beautiful bathroom to have a bath, stunning view of bushland and lots to watch on TV.

  • Place was fantastic. Very well equipped In all areas and nice touches. Fantastic location walk walks and hikes. Highly recommend.

    Steve2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Rodney's place is somewhere to recharge batteries or in my case a place to stop and regroup after a family medical emergency. It was incredibly peaceful looking out on the bush from the deck and very tranquil even with curious feathered visitors. The beds ensured a comfortable nights rest. It was a short walk to the beach and local cafes and the RSL puts on a stunning sun set over a glass or two.

    Tatyana2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a small home but set up very nicely. The views out the back windows are heavenly and the atmosphere of the entire place is so lovely. There are a lot of stairs to get to the front door, just as a warning for some people who may have troubles with stairs. Otherwise, highly recommend!

    Chablis2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • The picture doesn’t give any justice to this place. It’s so perfect for relaxation and just having a good time with family or friends. definitely would love to come back again 😊

  • It is a beautiful self contained space; only a 30 minute walk into town. Dana was respectful of our wishes for privacy but super friendly on check out and didn't make us rush :)

    Clare2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Dana’s place. For us, the location was ideal. Access to water for swimming and kayaking, easy walk to public transit, several shops and cafes nearby. This modern studio apartment in Dana’s family home had everything we needed for our longer term stays - private entrance, comfortable bed, marble shower, well-equipped kitchenette, leather couch, large tv, bistro table & chairs, sitting area outside, good wifi. Perfect for two. We loved it, and Dana and her family were lovely. A great spot if you want to enjoy the beaches and shops in Cronulla (20 minute walk, 5 minute bus ride), and about an hour’s train ride to downtown Sydney’s amazing harbour and sights.

    Margaret2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Dana’s place is a great spot. The house is right on the water (room on the road side). We didn’t use the kayaks/ hot tub however we were made welcome to. The room was comfortable and her family were very friendly.

    William2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dana’s place was perfect for us, a cozy, comfortable ground level studio in a terrific location on a beautiful bay. Dana and her family were very warm and welcoming, and very generous in sharing their property with us. It was an easy walk to public transportation. There were convenient shops close by. We loved it, and will be staying there again.

    Margaret2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Dana's beautiful place has an absolutely massive hot tub, kayaks, SUPs, and a beautiful getaway feel. The bed is comfortable, the shower is amazing stone, and the garden has nice touches. Thanks so much for having us!

    Isaac2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The property is located directly on the bay. If you access the back of the house, which the host is more than happy to orient are you to, you are met with the most breathtaking views of the bay. Communication with the host was exceptional.

    Leah2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Dana with an excellent communicator with very quick responses. Check in was really easy and place with super clean. It’s a small cozy room attached to the main house through a locked door.

  • Kerr Cottage was so beautiful and quaint, with plenty of room and lots of beds available for a large group. Kitchen was excellent and well stocked with cooking utensils and crockery. The outdoor spaces were lovely and we were able to make use of them with the great weather. Check-in was seamless with keyless code entry. Loretta + Kevin were extremely responsive to messages and comprehensive with their instructions. And don’t even get me started on Bundeena - this little township is BEAUTIFUL and impossible to believe it’s just a stone’s throw from Sydney. We based ourselves at Kerr Cottage this time to do the Royal Coastal Walk buy we’ll definitely be back to just explore this quaint little township. Our stay couldn’t have been better! Thank you, Loretta and Kevin!

My 3 bedroom house is located in Sydney's south east. Only a short walk to shops and train station and a short drive to beaches, national parks and airport. • Thank you SO much guys. This is hands down the best airBNB I’ve stayed in. This is a sweeping statement, but I’ve stayed in Airbnb’s all over the world and this is private, stylish, clean with a bit of a vintage touch! :) hosts are so cool and friendly too

Resort style living best describes our property. Located on the river, there is everything at your fingertips. Within a minutes easy walk, you have access to Lilli Pilli Baths, the bus stop and the waters edge. Located 30 kilometres from Sydney CBD and 8 minutes drive from the iconic Cronulla Beach, the house sits elevated to give tranquil views from most rooms.
The choice of space is up to you with 2 bedroom options. Bedroom 1 has fantastic water views from the 2nd level and Bedroom 2 is a poolside entertainment room that can be converted into a bedroom with a private bathroom. This has a double blow up mattress, with the upstairs bedroom boasting a large bathroom with spa bath and separate toilet. We also have a inbuilt pool spa at your disposal! The property has the added advantage of being on the waterside. You can borrow the kayak and adventure the Port Hacking River in minutes. There are many areas to relax such as by the poolside, in a private hammock or egg chair, in the tranquil courtyard or in the entertainment room. You will never feel crowded! Throughout Spring and Summer, you will experience the waterside with dozens of boats parked out on the sandbar enjoying our wonderful Australian sun. The pool side Cabana provides a kitchen for your personal use.
WATER, SUN, RESORT STYLE ACCOMODATION. You won't be disappointed!
  • Anthony and Vicky are lovely and generous, great hosts! Location is absolutely perfect, right on the edge of port hacking, access to the water, amazing views. High quality finished, stunning landscaping. Everything is spotlessly clean. Would 100% recomend!

    Bethany2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve got no words to describe how amazing Anthony, Vicky and Jordan have been with mum and nana. They had just landed from France and spent the most amazing stay to relax and enjoy an amazing view. The place is so pretty and sparkling clean, nothing’s missing. I would highly recommend this place.

    Pierre2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, great location, great hosts.

    Kirilee2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony was a great host and we loved his place. It is situated on the waterfront, only a minute walk to the Lilli Pilli Baths where we could go fishing. On one afternoon my husband also borrowed Anthony’s kayak to adventure the Port Hacking River. It is not far from Westfield Miranda for shopping and the Royal National Park. Inside the house, we enjoyed the cabana with full kitchen for all our cooking and dining, the upstairs bedroom on the second level with an amazing view, the jacuzzi spa and the poolside entertainment room. We didn’t get to try the heated outdoor pool or the theatre during our short stay this time but we’ll come back another time!

  • Ethel and Ode’s is a perfect house for a group or family getaway in the lovely village of Bundeena. The kitchen is well-equipped, the place was clean and well appointed. Fabulous view over the water and 2 minutes walk to the beach and an easy walk to the village centre.

    Meg2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, lovely accommodation. Kate has created an idyllic holiday home perfect for short breaks & longer stays.

    Michelle2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s place is an oasis. A beautiful private, beautifully presented, secure home, with a jaw dropping greeting as you walk through the front door- expansive ocean views. The house is a hop, step and a jump from the beach. Walk out the back gate onto the rocks to catch fish for breakfast. There are short to long walks through the national park or best of all, just sit back, on the deck, with a refreshing drink and take in the mesmerising views day and night. You won’t want to leave.

    Patricia2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our holiday was very relaxing and a great way to celebrate a milestone birthday in a beautiful house. The adjacency to the mouth of the Port Hacking river and Jibbon Beach and the frame of blue through the house of the river and ocean is amazing. We were very comfortable and each day explored the beach and walks - thank you very much

    Sally2018-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing property! Walking down the hall and opening out to the main living area with panoramic water views was breath taking! We enjoyed our daily walks on the beach and sitting outside taking in that view. Special mention about the linen - very good quality, made resting in bed on holiday all the more luxurious. We will be back!

    Loren 2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend Morrison’s and Peta as a Superhost highly enough! It is the perfect space for large family and is even bigger than the photos suggest! Peta has put a lot of thought into the property layout and the finer details, and we especially appreciated both the quantity and quality of the bathrooms. Bundeena is a wonderful village town with much more to do than we anticipated, so we will just have to return to pick up where we left off! Thanks for a wonderful week Peta!

    Lisa2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Morrisons. We stayed there with our family for my 50th birthday and stayed again for my 60th. Our group ranged in age from 4 months to 87 years. The 3 houses were spotless with great amenities suitable for a family getaway. The location is easy walking distance to the beach, tennis courts and shops. The back verandah is a great place to relax and enjoy a bbq.

    Sharon2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped to cater for the large sized group that can stay.

    Shane2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great location and houses for extended family to be together - kids (and adults) loved the backyard where we could kick a footy around. Lots of kitchen equipment so you can whip up a dinner - and a short stroll to beach and shops Highly recommended!

    Marie2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our group enjoyed our stay. The cabins out the back are a great addition to the property and fitted perfectly for our needs. Great location in terms of beach and shops, just a short walk to both. Would recommend.

    Swarnie2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location and facilities were perfect for us. We loved the beach being a short stroll away and easy access to the beautiful coastal walks. The house and cabins provided plenty of space for all of us and gave privacy for those who wanted to get away from the group. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and the adjoining deck accommodated the group easily. A great place for families or groups looking for a quiet and relaxing time.

    Jennifer2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing home. Huge communal space but lots of private areas, inside and outside eating spaces, enough toilets/bathrooms for even our large family. Spotless and well maintained. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommended for large familes or 3 families holidaying together.

Pull yourself out off one of four comfy king size beds or one queen size bed (5 separate private bedrooms) before warming up in the morning sun drenched chiefs style kitchen and feel the vibe of the positive chi flowing energy as the crystal sun catchers bounce an array of rainbow coloured lights around the entire room, while you help yourself to a latte or cappuccino with our barista style coffee machine.
  • An amazing place to stay. Tranquil, lots of Australian birds (cockatoos, lorrikeets) and everything you need to have a brilliant weekend. Rod was an excellent host - great communication - plus he's thought of everything that you'll need when entertaining. We loved the open spaces, the sunbeds, the aircon (which we didn't use but knew was there in case it was too hot - you can open the doors as the sun goes down for a nice cool breeze throughout the property). Spotlessly clean. Upstairs - two king and one queen bed plus a full bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining (and access to the outdoor entertaining area with massive table, ping pong table and sunbed). Downstairs had bunk beds, under bed and single bed (to sleep our 4 kids) plus another 2 king beds, mini kitchenette, and another full bathroom complete with laundry. Our family enjoyed the upstairs outdoor space but there is also another outdoor space on the downstairs level PLUS a further sunbed on the level below that. Our family would definitely return as it's perfect. And walking distance to wedding cake rock and other walks in the national park. Lots of parking too.

  • This beautiful and serene location has to be experienced to truly appreciate the tranquility found in this home- the online pictures are lovely but it’s not until you arrive that you feel the peace and calmness of this truly tasteful and beautiful home. My daughter and her fabulous friends had a beautiful weekend of togetherness before for her wedding in a few weeks, The 10 ladies who stayed onsite all appreciated the tranquil and immediate sense of peace and relaxation this location gives from the moment you enter the gates. Would recommend this location to all who truly appreciate luxury, multiple locations on site for group time together or just to sit and relax alone in a day bed to really intake the wonders of nature in this magnificent home. Lovely Host Rodney communicates quickly and very clearly with instructions for arrival and departure and any support or questions you may have. Highly recommended by all 10 ladies who enjoyed this wonderful experience that Brahmini Lodge Estate provides.

  • We had a really good time in little Bundeena on the beaches and all the nature arround. Very good trails trough the national park. We were lucky to be able to visit the Bundeena Art Trail to get a better impression of life in bundeena and get to know people from here. Valerie is a great host who helps where she can and gives great tips on what to do. Here you have as much peace and space as you like. In the comfortable room with own bathroom in her spacious apartment we felt very well. Thank you for all Valerie! We will come back.

  • My partner and I came for a couple days to relax. Valerie was lovely and so helpful! She gave us many ideas of what we could do in the area and we really liked the room!

    Amélie2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Valerie's place was equal parts cozy and happy. The room had everything that I needed and I loved having my own bathroom. The two nights spent with her family felt like a welcome home after a long flight. I highly suggest taking the ferry (only 6.80 one way for an adult). She graciously picked me up to save me from dragging my big suitcase up the hill. Providing you don't have a lot of luggage, the walk to her house from the ferry is pleasant. You will be met along the way with beautiful views, sounds, and flowers. Valerie cares about her guests and was incredibly gracious to me. She offered me lots of information about the local walks (a must-do). I am so grateful that we had the chance to meet and I hope to visit again!

  • Valerie, in my opinion, is a super host. She cares for her guests a lot and has a lot to offer in terms of what to do in and around Bundeena. The beautiful large bedroom with ensuite and the large window with large outdoor setting in backyard makes for an awesome experience and you would really just wanted to spend more time in bedroom and the house. Her hospitality is amazing and I was quite impressed with vast knowledge she has about many places/walks the surroundings have to offer. It helped me a lot in planning. The recommended hours for each walk for very accurate and all the directions to find the hidden local gems like water grass field and lilies and in general exploring hidden places in the walk were awesome. Her house is lovely and all the creature comforts are available. The location is amazing too as the beach and markets are within walking distance and entrance to Royal national park (and the coastal track) is as close as one can expect.

  • Valerie’s place is in a beautiful location surrounded by quiet beaches and in the doorstep of the Royal National Park’s costal track. Her home is lovely, the bedroom is spacious. Valerie is the perfect host, very kind and helpful, she was happy to help in everything we needed.
