“Along with it's 'sister' La Poesia, this is one of two traditional restaurants, very typical of old Buenos Aires. Having the same owner, they both have the same varied menu, including burgers, pastas, salads, sandwiches and some very good sharing platters (‘picadas’) . Both have a great atmosphere and interesting antique/vintage décor, without being super ‘touristy.’ Try a craft beer accompanied by a traditional ‘picada.’ A great option any time of day.”

“(Rodriguez Pena 1220). An Irish name it might have but you won’t find gimmicky leprechauns and mock mahogany furnishings here. Instead, come on any given night of the week and enjoy one of Buenos Aires’ best party bars. Spread over two floors, take advantage of cheap beer and happy hours until midnight before heading down into the basement to dance the night away with the best local house and electronic DJs.”

“Hidden behind two towering wooden doors in Buenos Aires’ up-and-coming neighborhood of Villa Crespo on the cusp of Palermo is Ocho7Ocho. With no sign other than the street address, Thames 878, and a doorman don’t be fooled by its unassuming entrance as once you enter you’ll be welcomed by an exclusive and romantic environment. A place to relax rather than party, the dazzling back-lit bar offers a legendary collection of whiskeys, retro drinks, cocktails of the day and an impressive selection of Argentina’s finest wines.”
