Food scene in Brno

Cocktail Bar
$$$
“One of the best bars you can find in Brno. You can find here great choice of drinks from alcohol to non-alcohol beverages, well-known cocktails and a lot of cocktails that are waiting to be discovered. Or you can get surprised by improvisation of local barmen. The bar is two-story big but still I advise you have to make a reservation. Visit of this bar is a unbelievable experience.”

“The renowned “Stopkova Pivnice” pub has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. A pub was opened on this site as early as the mid-19th century. It gained its fame after the arrival of its new owner, the ingenious publican Jaroslav Stopka, who took over the original “Jonákova Pub” in 1910. And even today you can judge for yourselves the quality of the Pilsner Urquell lager served here tapped from their beer tanks. You can also taste typical Czech kitchen here. ”

Cafe
“Good late night bar offering coctails or beer. It's typical after a certain hour for Czech bars to only serve penaka (a shot). This place will is good because it is lively and also sells beer all night. Feels slightly less pretentious then other bars owned by the same company. Overpriced. No standing at the bar allowed.”

“Jakubské náměstí (Jakub's square) is a great place to spend outside on a summer eveing. Restaurace Jakoby is on the square and offers Czech beers and local wine. Drinks can be bought inside and taken out. The bar is overpriced and feels ceremonious.”
