Communication was really no hassle at all, Calandra passed on the few simple instructions we needed to gain access to her property and the one or two queries we had were answered within an hour. When the family and I arrived at Des Res we were delighted to discover a fantastic comfortable and eclectic space. We had planned a night out but decided to stay in and enjoy the apartment and the goodies Calandra had left for us... at least I hope they were for us! Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Hi and welcome to my review! First off, I have to say, I'm well travelled, stayed in 5* hotels around the world so I do appreciate creature comforts and from word go upon entering, we were met by a beautifully kept house. Stylistically hip, modern, and exactly what we were hoping for. V was fantastic from the very beginning right through to the end of our stay with great communications, we needed for nothing as everything had been carefully chosen to make our stay perfect, from the incredibly comfortable bed to the coffee table reading material which I enjoyed whilst eating my breakfast on the balcony! What a treat! Impeccable clean throughout, every utensil you'd need to cook an evening meal with. Super bathroom with power shower! The neighbours were a joy to chat with, really lovely cool people. We loved our stay at V & M's and thoroughly recommend to everyone and can't wait to return! Thanks so much girls 5* Steff & Max xx

My wife and I stayed at Vikki`s apartment for a 4 day break, during the week. Although we did not meet Vikki in person. Her instructions for picking up the keys were very straight forward(URL HIDDEN)She made sure we were informed on everything we needed for our stay. And was in contact with us during our stay. The apartment is located in a wonderful position in Brighton. It is set in the Kemptown area. Which for us is the best area to stay in Brighton. It`s set just around the corner from the main high road that leads from Kemptown into the centre of Brighton. This is a beautiful road to walk along. With lots of great shops. It probably takes about 15 minutes to walk to The Lanes area of Brighton. Or you can just hop on a bus to travel the few stops. The other bonus about the positioning of the apartment, is that it is literally a minute from the beach. And from the balcony you can see the sea. The balcony being another bonus(URL HIDDEN) The apartment itself is wonderful. It's clean and tidy. And beautifully furnished. We found it a very relaxing place to stay. All in all. We had a great experience dealing with Vikki. And a wonderful time staying at her apartment. I would definitely stay here again. And I recommend it highly to anyone looking to stay in Brighton(URL HIDDEN)Thank you Vikki.

Izzet's apartment was great for our girls weekend away. It was slightly smaller than expected but enough room for the four of us. The place was fantastic! A very cozy studio with almost everything we needed. The beds were soft and clean. Only the wifi was a bit unstable but Izzet said he's going have a new one. The house was literatelly 2mins from the beach, and up to 20mins from everywhere we needed to go (and 5mins to a but stop where we took 12x to the seven sisters). The whole town was brilliant. We only stayed one night at Gary's, but we really enjoyed it! He's such a nice host, always answering immediately, very welcoming and he gave us all the information needed (for example to how to find the flat, which public transport..). The room was perfect, tidy and as shown in the pictures. The neighbourhood is very good, close to the seaside, pubs and restaurants, not too far from the Coach Station and the Pier. The breakfast was very good, Gary prepared everything for every taste! Thanks so much for having us, we can highly recommend this room!

Gary is a passionate, thoughtful and helpful host. The room is spacious, cozy and comfortable. It was a smart choice since it is located extremely close to the seafront with serene environment. It only took a maximum 5 mins to get to the pier promenade to enjoy the enchanting view. It was impressive that Gary accepted our enquiry to store our luggage at his place after checking out. In short, I would love to stay at this place again when i visit Brighton next time.

Gary gave us a very warm welcome . Our room was beautiful and everything you could possibly want was in the room . Our breakfast choice was great and there was more than enough to to eat and drink . The little touches such as the bowl of chocolates on the bedside table was so lovely . Gary was very informative and also put lots of very useful information in the room . I have stayed in some wonderful hotels but the personal touch we received at Gary's home was fantastic . I will definitely be booking a stay st Gary's when we visit Brighton soon .

Gary was a great host, informative and friendly, & always happy to help with any queries, whilst being very respectful of our space & letting us get on with things at our own pace. The location couldn't have been better, as it was quiet, yet within easy walking distance of both the beach & town. The room was peaceful and comfortable, & the in-room dining area was very handy, especially for the delicious breakfasts that Gary provided. Everything was very clean & well organised. We definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again & heartily recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the area. Thanks Gary!

Katharine is a great and responsible host. We've enjoyed a great weekend getaway from London. The room is with super sea view and has easy access both to city centre and other scenic spots (Seven Sisters National Park and Beachy Head is only 1h bus ride away). Katharine is also kind enough to let us check in early and out later than expected. Would definitely recommend her house to anyone visiting Brighton.

We got into Brighton a little earlier than planned but we kept good communication with Katharine so it worked out to be okay. We got a 5/10 minute taxi from the station to the apartment on the seafront where Katharine greeted us and gave us a very informative run through of everything in the apartment and the area etc. and indicated to a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the fridge which was a lovely touch!!! The location is totally perfect. The view is perfect, the pier just to the right and the sea & horizon directly in front! Dreamy! There's also a coop a stones throw away (perfect for picking up croissants for breakfast!) and lots of bars and restaurants round the corner. The apartment is SPOTLESS and reeeeally cosy, comfy and warm. Couple extra recommendations - go to 'Foodilic' for lunch for all-you-can-eat goodness! Lots of different types of healthy salads, with hot food too - for £6.95! My fave place ever. Also go to Giggling Squid if you like thai food, really delicious. There's a cute little pub/bar opposite the coop round the corner from the apartment which we stumbled across. There was a great live band there and generally a nice friendly atmosphere! This apartment is everything you'd wish for - and worth the price. Katharine is a great host - thank you!!

Steph and Chris' place was just plain excellent! They were really friendly and checked up on us if we were doing okay, even while they were on holiday themselves all worked out beautifully. The place is in an absolute perfect spot; near the beach, the Laines, pier, the dome and the pavilion. Nearby you will find nice restaurants and shops. We could even walk to and from the train station to get there. On top of that they seriously helped us out on really short notice by letting us stay another night when the host of our next UK Airbnb stay was unreachable. Top notch service! If in Brighton we will definitely try to book Steph and Chris' place again, can highly recommend the place!

The flat was perfectly clean and tidied up when we arrived. A friend of Chris' was waiting for us to hand over the keys. The location is really nice and central, about 2 minutes walk to the pier and 10 to the central Brighton shopping mall. The kitchen is small but completly fine with a freezer with enough storage. A Tesco and Sainsbury's are nearby same as cute small restaurants, bars and pubs with British and international food. We were pleasantly surprised when we discovered the netflix account on the TV. Although we never met Chris in person he was a nice host and we'd definitely stay there again! :)

Vacation Rental · Brighton
We have completely refurbished our former regency sea captain's retreat in the heart of Brighton (on a quiet side street) to make it an even more chilled, spacious city retreat. With direct seaviews from top floors why not step outside to find the city's gazillion shops, restaurants and fab beachlife! We want you to feel like you are staying in your own private hotel, with fresh linens, lashings of hot water and an area to chill before hitting the city. This bright regency townhouse with direct seaviews from the top two floors is on the same road as Brighton's beautiful Dome theatre. You're on a quiet road yet within minutes of buzzing West Street (for clubs), the seafront's nightlife and the shopping nirvana of the North Laine and The Lanes (we'll tell you which is which). Lovingly restored to it's Regency glory, you really couldn't find a more central location - even Brighton station is five minutes' walk away. If you're driving, we advise using the 24 hour car parks very nearby as you won't need the car once you arrive! Having just refurbished the whole former sea captain's house we have created a large, fantastic social space/kitchen diner with an exposed brick feature wall, a large range cooker, wooden floors and a beautiful hand-crafted wooden table to comfortably seat 16. There are three bathrooms all with natural slate floors. And all appliances are new including the (we think) very groovy bright pink Smeg fridge! There is wifi throughout the house and beautiful plantation shutters. We also love the living room with its twin chandeliers, Farrow and Ball colours and sumptuous regency coving (restored by the same craftsman who worked on the Harry Potter movies). There is also a large a flat screen TV - perfect for vegging out the morning after the night before! We also hope you love our luxurious roll-top bath and the "getting ready" pamper area for those preparing to hit the town with its three Hollywood-style illuminated dressing room mirrors and stylish drift wood make-up table. The house is yours, all five floors of it! We're local so on hand to help and answer your questions about our lovely city. Brighton is unique. Wear what you like, say what you like - we live and let live here on the south coast and are not surprised by much. Just ask Disco Pete, the old guy approximately a million years old who turns up at any outdoor gig in the city come rain or shine and dances silently and joyfully by himself. I always think he embodies how Brighton people feel about their city - if you're happy and not hurting anyone - go for it! The house itself is in the North Laines, very close to the famous clocktower. You're in the centre of the city yet on a quiet residential street enjoying the best of both worlds. Buses run just around the corner at Churchill Square to all over the city, there's a taxi rank round the corner and the main train station is five minutes' walk. But you're so central you can basically walk everywhere. There are twelve zip and link hotel-style beds with excellent quality mattresses arranged over five stunning bedrooms that can be arranged either as doubles or singles. In addition there are two double sofa beds in the spacious living room. There is no garden.read more

Lovely place and enjoyable stay. I just stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. The house was located a few minutes walk from the train station and situated in a central area close to all local amenities. The sea front and pier is also walking distance. The house itself is spacious, quirky and clean. The large kitchen and seating area is perfect for entertaining guests. The first night we all stayed in and enjoyed the use of this area whilst my partner cooked us all a meal. The second night we all went out. The highlight was the make up area. Lights round the mirrors gave a showbiz feel while the girls did their make up. There was plenty of bathrooms and toilets to ensure nobody was ever waiting to freshen up. I had the most relaxing bath in the large tub. The wifi worked well in all areas of the house, and the heating warmed the house up fast, and was not needed to be on all the time. The beds were really comfy, and everyone had a pleasant sleep. Overall it was a great weekend, and is ideal for getting everyone together for a night out or simply staying in to pamper yourselves and relax.

This was genuinely one of the most perfect stays I've had at an air bnb. PERFECT for our group of friends - from arrival everyone was so excited at what amazing place we'd found! The location is unbeatable - right in the city centre, it's close to the station, beach, bars, pubs, restaurants and clubs, but on a quiet enough street that it also feels residential. Each of us had our own comfy bed ( many friends also wanted to know where the mattresses were bought from!), and there are plenty of bathrooms between the number of people. The roll top bath was a wonderful (and inspirational for those of us who dream of our own places in the future!). We never ran out of hot water, and the there were plenty of towels provided for us too! The kitchen was one of the best stocked I've seen in terms of plates and cutlery. The long table was perfect for group breakfasts and drinks together, and the dishwasher made for easy cleaning afterwards to make it all the better. Overall - I would definitely recommend this place for big groups! Ben, though we never got to meet, was always so good and responsive to questions regarding the location. They had recently refurbished the house, and it's clear how much effort has gone into it to make it feel like a very luxurious home away from home for their guests! Thank you for such a great stay!

Great house, great location, great host. We were a hen party of 14 ladies and everyone could not stop saying how much they wanted to live in this house! The decor is lovely and it really felt like a home from home. The rooms are very accommodating and spacious, even though we filled the house almost to capacity. Everyone particularly loved the "dressing room" attached to the lounge - perfect for a group of ladies getting ready for a night out. Ben always responded very quickly from my first enquiry and the house met our needs perfectly. On arrival, I received a phone call from Ben to apologise that a couple of the slats on the front shutters had been broken by the previous guests. He arranged for someone to come round to fix this and within an hour of our arrival it had been done without any inconvenience to us at all. Would highly recommend booking this house and would definitely stay here again.

Converted whole floor of large Georgian House, high ceilings, south facing seaview, 2 minutes to beach, park or shopping, 5 minutes form Brighton Station. Rent whole flat for 2, 4 or up to 6 people or just a B&B room with owner present. Beautiful! There are two double bedrooms, with the 2nd room having the wardrobe space and shelves for clothing, and both overlook a quiet woodland space at the back of the building. The 2nd room has just had a brand new memory foam topped double mattress and is super comfy, medium softness! The main bedroom has a brand new king size firm bed which is super comfy! The lounge and kitchen are both south facing with huge sash windows looking out to sea! The ceilings are high so it's light and spacious. The floors are wooden, apart from the bedrooms which are fairly new carpets. A brand new sofa (double sofa bed) is in the front room, with comfortable memory foam mattress. It's really comfortable for the 2 extra guests when groups of more than 4 stay. Bedding will be made up for these groups and you can make it up at night. The kitchen has all modern appliances. A brand new bathroom was recently installed with rain shower, bath and combi boiler for unlimited hot water. Towels, shampoo & conditioner and shower gel provided. Kate will meet you and show you around and allocate one set of keys, or will arrange to leave keys with a local shop next door. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge. If the whole flat is taken then I will be glad to greet you if I am around, and answer any questions when possible. You will be given my mobile number and I'll be happy to help in emergencies. If only one double room is taken (you can search for the property listed as just one double room), then I will greet you on arrival and include breakfast the next morning of tea or coffee and toast or cereal. I will usually stay in the flat if only one room is taken as bed and breakfast. Location, Location, Location! The reason I have stayed here for 18 years is the fantastic location! You can literally walk anywhere in central Brighton within 10 - 15 minutes, and are so close to the station, beach, park, shopping centre and dozens of fabulous pubs and restaurants! The Seven Dials up the road has a few eateries and pubs, and down around Western Road there's lots of pubs and restaurants too. My local favourites are: A Taste of Sahara - North African and BYO Market - Global tapas style small plates restaurant, can sit/eat at the bar You Juice - Juice Bar next door to the flat The Salt Room - Fancy trendy seafood restaurant The Urchin in Hove - Seafood only gastro pub The Cocktail Shack & The Set in Regency Square The Lion & Lobster - most popular pub in Brighton, good menu Earth & Stars Pub for Sunday Roast Indian Summer restaurant - Southern indian modern menu Chilli Pickle Indian restaurant St Ann's Well Gardens is my favourite haven to escape from the busier seafront and take a book or newspaper and you can get lovely home cooked food in The Garden Cafe there too. Parking - due to being in the central Brighton zone Z, I recommend parking 2 streets to the west on York Avenue or around St Ann's Well Gardens as it's cheaper per hour, and there's some free spaces on Sundays on Nizells Avenue. There's an open air carpark by Brighton station that is just £10 per day if you wish to just arrive by car and leave for the weekend. Otherwise I suggest The Regency carpark. As we can only buy 26 day permits per annum for residents my street permits ran out a while ago. The buses run both ways from the bottom of the road at Norfolk Square or outside Waitrose. Taxi's arrive within minutes from Streamline on Brighton 202020 or 747474. Trains are regular to London and only take 50 minutes on most direct lines. Just a couple of doors along is a very small parade of quality boutique shops, fresh Juice Bar, fantastic Japanese takeaway and there's a lovely coffee shop called Mr Wolfe which is a new Brighton trendy hangout. There's a small convenience store and off licence opposite there too. At the bottom of the road are numerous other shops, late night food options and everything else you are likely to need!read more

The room is on the first floor of a four storey house five minutes away from Brighton station. It is both centrally located and quiet. The shower room is on the same floor with sink and wc and shared with other guests. My house is ideally located , close to city centre yet situated in a quiet street. Guests have a shower room, wc and sink to themselves and have full use of kitchen for preparing food and make a hot drink. Guests can also use the dining room table for laptop work and catching up with emails. I am very happy to share my knowledge of the local area, venues and events. Also I respect privacy for guest who simply want to use my home as a base. My house is so central to Brighton. Everything is within ten minutes walk, yet the road is lovely and quiet, as it's two roads up from the main road. Five minutes walk from Brighton station and three minutes away from major bus routes. We were greeted so warmly by Andrew, that it felt like we'd known each other for ages, rather than just having met. He was incredibly warm, open and went above and beyond what we could have imagined for our stay. Andrew took time to ensure we knew where everything was, not just settling into his inviting home, but also took time to go through a local map to highlight great places to visit and eat. This isn't B&B in the traditional sense, and having had such a delightful time, could never imagine staying anywhere else when next in Brighton. We stayed in the Library bedroom, and, as the name suggests, has ample reading material. Terrific for those of us who feel there aren't enough hours in the day to read. Andrew has two amazing little friends - Chompers and Pookie - his two gorgeous doggies. Even if you are not necessarily a 'dog' person, don't let them put you off. Apart from wanting to check you out upon arrival, they are incredibly chilled and leave you alone (though they are very appreciative of any affection and being told how gorgeous they are!!!) Breakfast was very well catered for and again, Andrew was very attentive to the needs of his guests. There was so much choice and the coffee was divine! We felt after leaving that we had made one of the best decisions in choosing this listing and would even go so far as to say we feel we've made a friend too.

Very happy with the choice we made!!! Aside the fact that the location is great (very close to the station, seaside and all the popular areas) Andrew is an amazing host. He knows and loves the city and he's very happy to give you tips and advice regarding places where you can have a good coffee or a meal. The house is very cosy and the room is nice and spacious, with plenty of books! The bed is very comfortable, and for us that is a good point. The bathroom is next to the room and although is shared it wasn't a problem for us. In the morning Andrew offered us a nice breakfast that kept us going during the day!!! In conclusion, the perfect choice to spend the nights if you go to Brighton. We will definitely repeat with Andrew!

A warm and cosy house. If you want to feel like you're living in an English, Brightonian house, then this is the one for you. Other than the very comfortable bed, it was a pleasure to meet two lovely dogs. Hope to see you again soon!

Went down to Brighton with my daughter for a concert and had an overnight stay in Andrew's delightful home. Andrew is a lovely, welcoming host and a very engaging person. The room was lovely and comfortable as well as all the amenities including wifi which was great to have. The accommodation is also very convenient to the station and town centre, so that is a bonus. Would stay here again if ever in Brighton.

An elegant apartment which can accommodate up to six, two double bedrooms and two bathrooms; one an ensuite, this apartment also benefits from a courtyard. Although extremely central this victorian property is located on a quiet residential road. This apartment is a very welcoming space and has been finished to a high standard. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed which benefits from a roll top bath ensuite. The second bedroom is a spacious room with a standard size double bed, all beds are incredibly comfy. The huge sofa can be arranged to accommodate a further two by using quality memory foam mattress toppers, this has proved comfier than a standard sofa bed. There's a well appointed main bathroom which has a drench head shower/bath. The kitchen houses both an integrated fridge, dishwasher and has all mod cons to be expected except a microwave, it benefits from a Rangemaster cooker. There's a separate utility cupboard which has a washing machine, tumble dryer and small freezer. There's a Sony 3D TV, Tivo box, DVD player and docking station for iPod etc... I will welcome you in, thereafter the place is yours but please feel free to call upon me for advice and/or guidance anytime during your stay. Although incredibly central; being only a short walk from the station, beach and city centre, it's a quiet residential area. Bedlinen, towels, pillows and duvets are of the highest quality.read more

I stayed at Eleanor's beautiful home just before my wedding day. It was the perfect place to chill out before my big day The house has a lovely vibe, a mix of effotless quality, comfort and peacefulness. Eleanor was quick to respond to messages, super helpful and just really lovely Highly recommended, would stay agin!

Had a lovely stay at Eleanor's house. Perfect location, lovely bath, bedding and towels were all of a high quality (better than any hotel) Eleanor was away during our stay but accessing the house was simple and easy and all as explained. She left us permits so we Could park directly outside, at £5 a day which worked out a lot better than the 3£ a hour rate!! However we misread the permit and ended up with a parking ticket... You need one ticket per day, we stupidly didn't read the back and rubbed off two days on one ticket, which you can't do!! So don't make the same mistake! Only downfall is we didn't get to meet the pug, but will hopefully be back to stay again soon! Thanks you for having us (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

Delighted to offer this modern flat, with all mods cons, well equipped kitchen, 32" LED TV, dishwasher and super-fast broadband. Right in the centre of town, 15 min walk to the station and close to the beach, restaurants, bars, pubs, coffee shops and shopping area including the best supermarkets in town. We have a late check out time (1 PM) so that you can make the most of your stay. Check in from 4PM (earlier can be arranged when possible). This clean and uncluttered flat is close to everything Brighton has to offer. Ideal for a couple but also as the sofa turns into a sofabed, two or three friends sharing. The place has undergone an extensive refurbishment and it has been equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The superfast broadband is wicked, so bring your gadgets with you. Floors are carpeted and central heating keeps the place warm and cozy. Fresh linen, towels and toiletries provided. Hair dryer and iron also available. Just bring yourself! You'll have the complete flat for you. I live quite close to the flat and I'll be there to help in whichever way I can. Always prefer to meet and greet. If I can't make it a well trained in the "what to do in Brighton" host will see that you make the most of your stay. You are in the "border" between Brighton and Hove. It is a very vibrant neighborhood and you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars, shops, supermarkets, etc. Leave the car at home and take the train, you really won't need it. You can walk from the station (no more than 15 min walk) or either number 1/1A bus will take you to the flat. Else a 5 min taxi ride and you are there. The flat is walking distance to the Lanes, Churchill Square, concert venues, the pier and the I360 is just down the road. The flat is on a second floor which requires the use of stairs.read more

Maria was not able to meet us upon arrival, but made sure we were fully accommodated by sending a very knowledgable substitution. We were pleasantly surprised with the place, and loved the location! Although the front room with the extra bed can be a little noisy at night, this wasn't a problem for me! Would definitely recommend to others staying in Brighton!

Maria was a wonderful host, she welcomed me and showed me around the flat. She had put in things like shower gel, tea, milk, orange juice, 3 cans of beer, and bottled water so that we didn't have to rush out to get the basics. That was a lovely touch. When I got back home I realised I had left my charger at the flat, I contacted Maria and she put it in the post the next day (and it arrived the day after that) without asking to be paid back. Thank you Maria!

Perfect place for me to stay with my two boys for the weekend. Great location in the centre and very close to the sea, shops, restaurants and station. The flat is really as bright as seen in the listing. Almost the whole day it was sunny in the apartment. I even enjoyed the views on the streets and the roofs of Brighton. In the distance you can see the sea... And the apartment is tidy and looks newly refurbished. Maria was responding fast and very helpful finding an appropriate parking space. We saw each other just to say hello and pass over the keys. All was very easygoing. I really can recommend this place for two people which enjoy life and want to stay in vibrant Brighton!

Just as it says on the tin! Cosy cottage, well equipped, warm and clean, right in the heart of the Laines, yet down a quiet side street. I got my breakfast supplies from Infinity foods, and had lunch in Silo (both within 400 yards and highly recommended) One caution: the parking space is slightly narrow - too narrow for my Jaguar XF. But there's more than one secure car park within 800 yards if required. All in all I couldn't have asked for anything more of my stay. And the sun shined, in December!

Our hosts, Peter and Seb were extremely helpful during our entire 3 weeks in Brighton. Our very enjoyable time in Brighton was made even more so with their help. They not only took care of us but also helped in housing friends and relatives at their other listings at short notice. We really enjoyed our long weekend in this lovely apartment. We normally stay in Hove so it was nice to discover another part of Brighton which is well located for the North Laines and Kemp Town. We also used the bus system for the first time which was fun, the apartment is on a great route and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to very easily. The apartment itself is light, spacious and with lovely decor - just as the pictures show.

We were met by the very friendly Tracey & immediately felt welcome. The apartment was exactly as described, a nice spacious lounge/kitchen & comfy bedroom & located in a small apartment block reached through an archway & thus away from the road. It proved to be an excellent pied a terre for our visit to Brighton. We arrived jet-lagged & immediately felt at home when we entered our spotless temporary home - but we were ready for action! The apartment is in easy walking distance of lots of pubs, restaurants etc. We didn't do any cooking but had take-aways or ate out. So much choice nearby. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the spacious lounge. The shower was piping hot, the bed comfy & the place was so quiet that a good night's sleep was ensured. Well equipped & great location. Highly recommended.

I had a nice welcome from Peter - I was out and about quite a bit so unfortunately I didn't meet Seb! The room was lovely, it had a very comfortable bed and I slept well, being in a quiet location. Very well furnished house and the bathrooms were excellent, as was the kitchen. It all felt homely and welcoming and there were lots of nice touches to make guests feel at home. The other guests were also friendly.

Absolutely beautiful home and fantastic hosts. The house is incredibly stylish and impeccibly clean. Pete gave us a really warm welcome and although we only stayed 1 night we felt right at home. Copper room offered lots of privacy but it was lovely to meet the other guests in the kitchen area too! Breakfast was delicious and we cannot recommend staying here highly enough x

We didn't get the chance to meet our hosts so we'd publicly like to thank them for an amazing time at their place. The home is beautiful, well looked after and ideally situated just ten minutes out of town. The room was awesome (Copper), loved the attention to detail. The cats were an added bonus! Perfect weekend getaway place, couldn't recommend it higher!

Lovely place for a relaxing break. The house was really clean and cozy. Nice selection of food for breakfast. We felt basically at home for couple of days, I absolutely suggest this place and I'll come back if I'll visit Brighton again :)

Easy to find. On street Parking gets a bit busy after 9 pm. As is normally for mid city living . The copper room was spotless clean and had super soft bedding and mattress was just right. Love the rustic style renovation. Has a homely feel that I love about air bnb. good WiFi signal. This copper room is in lower ground level and as is common with these in England there is a small smell of mould. Nowhere else in the house and house is spotless. But for those who are super sensitive I'd would recommend a room on other level. Hosts were amazing and had thought of everything. I felt totally comfortable but also totally at peace to be with myself. The pictures really don't do the view justice from the sun room. So lovely and a generally very peaceful energy in the house. Which I personally welcomed.

We had a great stay here! The house is beautiful, the room was lovely and the bed was the comfiest bed I've slept on in years! The cats are lovely too and the place was very quiet and peaceful. It is quite a distance from the sea front and the lanes, but a taxi was only £8 and the bus journey is super easy. I would 100% recommend and I would definitely stay here next time I am in Brighton. I left my necklace behind and they found it and messaged me and also left it out on the side so that I could easily find it when I went back to collect my stuff.

Lovely furnishing and room was very clean, exactly as shown in the pictures. Had a good night's rest, the house was very peaceful. The hosts were friendly and provided breakfast which was great. Located slightly far from the city centre but the public bus is efficient to get to and fro.

Our 1-bedroom top flat is available for rent. This attic-flat is a stone's throw from the Brighton Wheel, Pier, and Royal Pavilion. *Please Note: this flat is in the midst of being renovated so there are some small ascetically unfinished spots. This flat is on the 4th floor of our home, so please be aware there are several stairs. This attic flat is very VERY central and is just a stone's throw from St. James Street, The Pier, The Brighton Wheel, and The Pavilion. It is a snug but cozy one-bedroom with an en-suite wet-room shower and can accommodate up to 4 guests, but as an attic flat our ceilings can be a bit low and there are Quite A FEW STEPS so it might not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. It includes a small kitchen with fridge. Spare air mattresses available upon request. We are PET FRIENDLY and welcome any well-behaved, clean, pets. *** Please NOTE: we have a larger flat in the same building available through airbnb. ****Those wanting a bit more room and head space should check it out. Due to the fact this a 150-year-old house, dust may start to accumulate if you're stay is longer than a couple days. If you would like the space dusted or mopped during your stay, feel free to ask and it can be arranged. Our Location is Broad Street, just between St. James Street and the pier. There is street parking near but the area becomes quite crowded over the weekends and a lot of spots require permits. We suggest trying justpark to find nearby parking. Luggage may be stored before check-in and after check-out should someone be available. This is an attic flat so there are quite a BIT OF STAIRS and LOWER CEILINGS but it has space for 4 and has a fridge, kettle, and cooking ware. If coming on the airport bus: Dropoff is just 3 minutes walk away We are just downstairs so anything you need, feel free to ask. We are just minutes away from many of Brighton's main attractions as well as a number of bars, clubs, and restaurants (including Vegan, Vegetarian, Dog-Friendly) . Stephanie's flat is so great and the location is superb! My friends and I had a great time in Brighton and so much of it was due to the flat and it being so close to everything it was very convinient. Even with four of us it felt like there was enough space. All in all we had a great stay, and getting there was no hassle and there was someone to be in touch with regarding any issues we had eventhough Stephanie was away for the weekend. Would definitely stay there again!

Flat was in a great location, very close to the shore, pier and shops. Our stay was great apart from the low ceilings, which were very uncomfortable for us - particularly in the bathroom. We're all just under 6 foot tall, so would recommend the larger apartment for those close to our height.

My cosy early -Victorian cottage with patio is located right in the heart of the funky North Laine area (Creative Quarter) of Brighton, minutes away from the station and the beach. Sleeps up to 4. Initial Breakfast supplies included. Theatres, parks, quirky shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants, childrens' playground and Brighton Pavilion are all within 5 minutes' walk. This is a unique opportunity to live right in the centre of the artistic/creative heart of Brighton- the famous North Laine Area. The house is situated in one of the North Laine's quieter streets- it is double- glazed, so even though there are pubs and bars in the area (albeit not in my street), noise levels are kept down. There is a small patio, ideal for those long summer evenings spent with a bottle of wine and a BBQ! You'll have a double bed (with orthopaedic mattress) in the upstairs bedroom and a pull-out 2- seater sofa bed in the downstairs lounge which can sleep two, but is not suitable for very tall or heavy persons. NEW: Comfy, 7.5cm thick topper for use on sofabed (I've been acting on customer feedback!) Bed linen, towels and initial basic breakfast provisions are provided at your convenience! The cottage was originally built for local fishermen in the 1830s which is reflected in its size and decor; please do not expect high-tech furnishings as that would not fit in with its quaint character. I am providing a Portable DVD player with a good choice of DVDs for all the family. Just a short walk from Brighton Station and the seafront, there are numerous bars, restaurants, museums, shops on your doorstep! No need for a car- you can walk everywhere, or take the bus/bike. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FREE PARKING ANYWHERE IN CENTRAL BRIGHTON. I will be there to welcome you, give you the welcome pack (house manual/map/brochures/bus timetables), answer any questions and make sure you are set up comfortably for your stay! Occasionally, if people arrive very late, I will get a friend to check you in. Brighton's unique and vibrant North Laine represents a colourful mixture of small and diverse shops and independent traders. Whether you're looking for clothing, fashion, gifts, services, arts, crafts, entertainment, shops, pubs, bars and cafes you'll find it all here in the North Laine area of Brighton. Brighton Pavilion and its extensive gardens are a one- minute walk away, as is the Prince Regents Leisure Centre and Pool. Brighton mainline station with regular service to London Victoria (50 min), London Bridge (70 min) and Gatwick Airport (35 min) is a 5-min walk away. As the location is so central, all the attractions incl. the seafront are within easy walking distance. There are numerous buses taking you out to other destinations further out such as Brighton Marina, the South Downs or Eastbourne, with bus stops just a short walk from the house. Please note that, as with everywhere in the centre of Brighton, you will have to use a car park should you choose to arrive by car. From Mid- June to the end of September, minimum stay is 3 nights. Check-in/out times are negotiable, but PLEASE NOTE-NO CHECK-INS PRIOR TO 11AM, BUT I PREFER IF YOU COULD CHECK IN BEFORE 8.30PM.read more

The apartment was perfect. Looks just like the photos. Could not have hoped of a better location- a close walk from the train station and ocean and in the middle of laneway markets and restaurants. Four of us stayed in the apartment very comfortably for a weekend. We were even left bread and a few little things for breakfast or snacks. Thank you Heike!!! I recommend staying here.

What a great little cottage, in my favourite area of the city too. The cottage has charm and character, and is equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Heike was a very welcoming host, very friendly and provided us with loads of information about Brighton including a map. There was a welcome pack of food including essentials like bread and milk. I share Heikes love of chocalate, so the welcome gift of chocalates was appreciated. I would certainly recommend a stay here, particularly if you want something different to the run of the mill hotel chains.

I stayed there with two friends for two nights and it was a very enjoyable experience. The flat is nice and clean (there is one double bed and a double sofa bed) and it is located in the North Laine area, so close to shops, pubs and cafés and the seaside and it is also conveniently located for the train station (which is 5 mins away). Heike provided coffee, tea, and breakfast stuff and there were also towels available as well as detailed information about Brighton (including about different types of restaurants). I would definitely stay at Heike's flat again.

Vacation Rental · Brighton
Light, neat, quiet self contained studio. Separate entrance. Nestled in our garden. Veggie breakfast. Good access to central Brighton, National Express (airports and London), Preston Park station, the Downs, universities. 2 nights min stay. The Garden Room studio is entirely self contained with a separate entrance and comfortably accommodates two people. The compact kitchen has all you need for self catering. Vegetarian breakfast ingredients included. Underfloor heating adds the necessary cosiness. The garden is there for you to enjoy. On street car parking is free. Bikes can shelter behind the house. Reduced price for single occupation. The Garden Room studio is yours for the time of your stay and you are welcome to use the garden. We will welcome you, show you around and supply you with the local information if you wish. We will stock the kitchen for a vegetarian breakfast in the morning and are very happy to supply food for specific dietary requirements (wheat -, dairy-, gluten free, vegan etc). Please ask if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to making you feel welcome. The Garden Room studio is in Patcham at the north -eastern end of Brighton and only a few minutes drive from the A23 and A27 and very near the junction of these two which gives you a brilliant link to beautiful East and West Sussex as well as London. Lewes is not more than 15 minutes away by car, for example. Sussex University and the Falmer and Lewes Road sites of Brighton University are only 10 minutes away. There are many fantastic gardens to visit nearby. Within one hours drive or less are Wakehurst, Nymans, Borde Hill, Standen, Leonardslee for example. You can walk/cycle from here into the Downs with hundreds of beautiful walks - the nearest ones to Stanmer Park and Stanmer House, to the Chattri, to Ditchling Beacon, to name but a few destinations - and onto the South Downs Way. You can catch the frequent local bus services (5b and 5) into Brighton's centre (ca 20 minutes); the bus stops are on the door step. One can cycle off road and on fairly even ground into town in 10 - 15 minutes or less. Brighton offers something for every age and every interest from clubbing and gigs to theatres, exhibitions, big street events, quirky shops, the sea, a pier, world famous restaurants, beautiful Regency architecture, you name it! There seems to be some festival going at any point in the year; the highlight being the Brighton Festival during May with 100s of art events in the main programme and 1000s in the fringe programme. It is said to be as good and innovative as the Edinburgh Festival. There is only one way to find out whether that is true... Patcham itself has still a little village centre with a few shops and restaurants and gives the flavour of the flint stone villages typical for Sussex. Our street is part of the garden suburb developments from the 30s. It is a popular neighbourhood for families with smaller children (all our neighbours are now young families). There are a number of schools nearby, a library, two community centres/spaces, playing fields, green spaces. From our street one has access to Withdean Park, for example, which holds the national lilac collection (Like me, you probably did not even know that there was such a thing!) which is definitely worth a visit in May. Convenience stores are only a few minutes away from the studio. We also love the sea and often drive to Hove for a swim in the sea during the summer (as parking is easier there than in Brighton) or to Ovingdean for the magical undercliff walk in all weathers. Two National Express bus stops are very near for busses to Gatwick, Heathrow and London. Preston Park Railway station ca 20 minutes on foot or take local bus service number 5. Local bus services 5b and 5 take you almost to our door step. The closest bus stops are also on the route of a night bus. From Brighton station you have to walk for 5 minutes to the 5b/5 bus stops. Taxi from/into central Brighton ca £10. Free on street parking. Bicycles can be stored safely behind the house. The junction of A23 and A27 is just a couple of minutes drive away. The A23 takes you straight north to London. The A27 gives access to the south coast in both directions: Going west to Worthing, Chichester, Portsmouth, Southhampton (ferries to France), and further on to Dorset and Devon; going east to Newhaven (ferry to Dieppe), Eastbourne and Maidstone (Euro tunnel). There is a less frequent bus to Falmer for Sussex Uni and Falmer site of Brighton Uni. You will have the pleasure of sleeping in 100% cotton sheets and bed linen. One health warning: The cooker is an electric induction cooker which can interfere with pacemakers when used.read more

A friendly and welcoming host who let us have our own space yet was there if ever we needed anything. The studio is absolutely gorgeous with lots of natural sunlight and everything you may need. Wonderful experience from start to finish. The host was excellent communicating with us prior to our trip and we arrived to a fridge full of the basics; milk, spread, yoghurt, bread, cereal, tea and coffee, etc. The accommodation was extremely clean and in beautiful condition. A full folder of info on local buses, trains and things to do in the area. This was the perfect place for us to stay as there was completely separate access to the main house which meant we didn't worry about disturbing anyone on our way back from a late night. This may not be right in the centre of Brighton but its proximity to the A27 was really convenient for getting around. Highly recommend this accommodation and host.

This has to be one of my best experiences on AirBnB, if not one of my best "stays away" of all time. We arrived in the early evening, and we were met by Cornelia, who showed us around the studio, and also provided us with really helpful information, including the number of a local Taxi company, and a folder about the flat, the local area, and a copy of the bus timetable. There were also tortilla chips, hummus and olives waiting for us on the table, which made the whole thing just a little bit special. The studio was very much as described and shown in the photographs, a light and airy single room "garden house", with a separate shower room. It was well appointed, with a full set of pristine cooking equipment, along with bowls, cups, plates etc. The kitchen area was small and functional - we prepared two meals there, and had we been able to stay for longer, we would not have hesitated to use it to cook a full evening meal. Cornelia has also provided bread, butter, preserves, sausages, cereals and (most importantly for us) lots of teas, which made the whole stay much easier for us. The bed was comfortable, and the bed-linen was freshly clean and ironed. Finally, the bathroom was a good size for a small flat, with a toilet, sink and shower - which had a good bit of power behind the water and made for a really refreshing morning shower. As a host, Cornelia was fantastic - although we didn't see or speak to her much during our stay, we knew when she would be around, and she seemed very willing to offer assistance and advice should we have needed it. Our plan for the weekend was fairly hectic, so we didn't have much time to spend the the garden, behind the property, however it was very relaxing and pretty - and had a trampoline in it (strictly at our own risk, of course!). We were not disturbed at any time by noise etc during our stay. So in summary: a fantastic AirBnB experience, which we would happily repeat if we are in the area again. I am happy for other AirBnB users to contact me to verify this review if they wish!

This was the perfect air B and B for us - letting us stay near to family at Christmas. Warm, comfortable and with everything we needed - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Cornelia was a very welcoming host - but we also had privacy in this lovely hideaway in the garden.

The house is on the edge of a housing estate, but the room has en suite and was comfortable. Anna has previously run a hotel, and this shows. She was very helpful, had left more than enough for breakfast, did all she could do to help. I had a wonderful experience staying at Anna's house. I was quite impressed by her meticulousness in catering to the needs of her guests. Everything in the room and washroom was so neatly arranged and smelled so fresh. As mentioned in the description, the room was stocked up with breakfast items and snacks. The bed was of a good size, which was a great source of comfort for me especially since I'm tall. The small sized room was quite cozy and comfortable, the kind where one can relax and unwind for long periods. The size was just right though and allowed me to keep my stuff in it. The arrangement and facilities in the room stood testament to the host having had professional experience in hospitality. Anna's warm demeanour and keenness to always tend to my queries and concerns really gave me the feeling that I was well looked after. The house overseas a beautiful meadow and is located in a friendly and safe neighbourhood that has buses running to university and the town centre on a regular basis. I shall definitely want to stay with her again and would strongly recommend her place to those wanting to stay inBrighton.

The apartment was lovely and comfortable exactly as we had hoped it would. We would highly recommend this apartment to any couple who wanted a place to stay. It was spotlessly clean and spacious. It would be difficult to find anything better.

Dunia was a generous, friendly and communicative host. The apartment was really cosy and nicely decorated and had a lovely wood burner which we made use of as the seasons changed. Dunia even provided breakfast essentials for us. The apartment is very close to shops and the station, which is convenient. Highly recommended.

There is a large TV, Virgin TV and fast internet, a sofa, a kettle for tea and coffee, maps and information about Brighton and Sussex countryside. There is a small nice bathroom with shower very close by. Towels are provided, bathrobes (on request), as well as soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is a hair dryer. Iron and iron board on request. The house is in close walking distance to the bohemian and fun North Laine with many independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, music venues and theatres and only ten minutes walk from the seaside and the many little lanes with independent shops. We are a relaxed home and have two cat that stay downstairs. Continental breakfast available in your room or downstairs. The bedroom and loo with shower room. Downstairs is available for guests that would like to have a continental breakfast in the large living room/dining room kitchen area which opens to the garden. I am also happy to provide breakfast in the bedroom so please let me know what you would prefer in advance. The downstairs area is not normally available to guests in the evening although you are welcome to leave food in the fridge and there is a microwave too. We love living in Brighton and would be happy to make recommendations to help you make the most of your stay in our great and lively city. I love welcoming people to our house and making them feel at home. I also speak Spanish, French and some Italian. The house is in the Westhill conservation area, a short walk from Brighton station and the lovely North Laines with independent shops, stalls, antiques and bric a brac such as Snoopers Paradise on Kensington Gardens which is great fun and recommended as well as restaurants and pubs. The theatres, music venues and seaside are all in easy walking distance. There is always something going on in Brighton and it is a great cosmopolitan city with two world class universities and a great art college it is a vibrant place. The city has great music venues and clubs as well as the beautiful Brighton Pavillion, museums and art galleries. The Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe takes place every May with music, theatre, talks, comedy and cabaret taking place, many free acts around town as well as many open houses owned by local artists who open their doors at weekend during the whole of May. There are also great music festivals such as the Great Escape with bands playing all over town. On the beach there is always plenty going with bars with live music, clubs and restaurants. Our famous Brighton pier with plenty of activities as well as free deck chairs to admire the views. The new I360 a new viewing tower which will give you the best panoramic views of Brighton and Sussex and a lovely promenade along the beach which is used by local people all year round as even in the winter you get spectacular waves and views of the town. Brighton also boast some great restaurants to suit all tastes. I personally love fish and seafood restaurants ranging from the Regency, The Salt House and Riddle and Finns. There is also 64 degrees which is one of the best restaurants near the seaside as well as many lovely restaurants very close to where we live including French, Italian, Mexican, Asian. There are also many local pubs around the corner from our house which do great food too such the Yeoman, Battle of Trafalgar and the Basketmakers among others which do great food and Sunday lunches. If you are vegetarian Brighton is also your place with top restaurant Terre a Terre as well many other vegetarian and vegan places. I love markets too and near us on Saturday there is a popular local street market and on Sunday mornings you have the Marina market selling antiques, bric a brac and car boot sales which is great fun and a good place to find bargains. We are only four minutes walk from Brighton station and the train is the best way to come to Brighton. From our house you have many of Brighton's amenities in easy walking distance and most of us walk or cycle around town. There are plenty of buses and one that will even take you to the South Downs to visit the beautiful countryside and great walks and country pubs. You can also rent bicycles nearby to cycle along the seafront and visit the Brighton Marina and then cycle on the cycle lane by the cliffs to nearby villages such as Rottindean. If you coming by car there are car parks in walking distance and a few parking meters close to the house. We also have a few visitors parking permits on sale for £6 per day. Checking in time from 14.00pm and Checking out by 11.30am. We would ask you to check in by no later than 8pm unless previously agreed. On request you can drop your bags earlier and pick up the keys but bare in mind that your room might not be ready till a bit later. Most of Brighton and Hove have resident parking only with a few parking meters including on our street. We also have some visitors parking tickets available for sale for £6 per day as we have to buy them from the local town hall and they are limited. Motorbikes can park for free. There is also a car park ten minutes walk on Trafalgar Street and others. Brighton is also a good place to stay to visit the beautiful Sussex countryside as well as London. It is only 50 minutes away from London on the fast train to Victoria. Buses and trains are only a few minutes from the house and there are also local buses to take you to the countryside. The North Downs and other lovely historical cities such as Lewes are less than half an hour away.read more

Vacation Rental · Brighton
Our home is a beautiful Edwardian family home in a quiet tree-lined residential street with excellent access to trains (5 mins walk to Preston Park station with direct line to Gatwick and several London stations), buses, shops and all the fabulous fun of Brighton (4 mins). The house has 3 double bedrooms (one is a sofa bed) and 1 single room across 3 floors, 2 living areas, fully equipped open-plan kitchen/dining/living room. Free parking (some restrictions). Gas BBQ and rowing machine. GROUND FLOOR KITCHEN/DINING/LIVING ROOM - The ground floor includes a lovingly restored Edwardian living room with period fireplace, a very spacious modern open-plan kitchen, dining and living room opening out with full width glass doors to the garden. The kitchen island incorporates a breakfast bar with 4 stools and the dining table extends to seat 8 people. Guests have full access to kitchen equipment including a Gaggia coffee machine, 5 burner range stove and double oven, food processor, blender and for anyone who wants to make more use of it than us, a pasta maker. Also a wide range of cookbooks and access to basics and condiments. GARDEN & TWITTEN - The garden includes plenty of garden furniture, parasol and gas BBQ, with access to a twitten (Brighton’s very own word for alleyway) and any produce being grown in our small vegetable patch. UTILITY ROOM – Includes American-style fridge freezer (with ice dispenser) and ceiling-mounted clothes rack. Downstairs toilet room. FIRST FLOOR MASTER BEDROOM - The large master bedroom with a huge bay window has a beautiful superking size bed and en-suite shower and toilet. SECOND BEDROOM - Double bed overlooking the garden. Guests can also use the rowing machine, which stores up against the wall in this room. THIRD BEDROOM - A single bedroom with raised bed (ladder access). Fully equipped with toys and books! FAMILY BATHROOM – Beautiful Victorian-style bathroom with rain shower head. SECOND FLOOR FOURTH BEDROOM - The converted loft is a large, bright study or playroom including a comfortable and easy-to-open-out sofa bed. Double loft windows including a Juliet balcony window, all with full black-out blinds. Large desk space. Separate toilet room on the second floor landing. You have the free reign of the house and garden to yourselves except for one small room on the first floor which will be kept locked simply to be able to pile some of our stuff, to allow you a little bit more room for your clothes etc. You will be able to pick up keys and check yourself in. We will be available by phone or email. The quiet tree-lined residential street forms part of the tiny Preston Village conservation area just off the main road into Brighton. It offers very easy access to walk, bus or train into the centre of Brighton, the Pier and the beach. The house is 5 minutes from Preston Park, a large green space including children’s play area, two cafés, tennis courts, rose garden, velodrome and the open-to-the-public grounds of Preston Manor. A Sainsburys Express is just 2 minutes away plus a row of local shops and two basic pubs around the corner and a family-friendly pub with large outdoor seating and good food less than 10 minutes away. The area includes plenty more pubs, cafés and shops. But you’re most likely to be heading to Brighton and its attractions including the Pier and its rides, the Royal Pavilion, the beach, shopping in the Lanes and the North Laine, crazy golf, the i360, the great and varied restaurants, buzzing nightlife etc, etc. Or a 20 minute drive or cycle ride will take you into deepest countryside in the South Downs National Park including the renowned hills of Ditchling Beacon and Devil’s Dyke or the woods of Stanmer Park. Or visit the pretty village of Steyning to the East, or to the West, historical Lewes (Anne of Cleves House, Lewes Castle etc) and Glyndebourne just beyond. CAR - We're just off the main road from London, which is a good thing and a bad thing. If you're arriving by car, we'll give you directions to avoid the traffic jams coming into Brighton (at their worst on a sunny Saturday). We'll also give advice to avoid the difficult and expensive parking in central Brighton but the top tip is to use public transport. There is free parking in the whole street although one side of the road has restrictions for one hour during the day (12-1pm on weekdays including bank holiday Mondays) to deter commuters. TRAIN - Our train line has direct services to Brighton (4 minutes), Gatwick airport (30 mins), London Victoria (1hr), London Bridge (1hr), London Blackfriars (1hr 15mins), Hove (4 mins), Lewes (30 mins), Eastbourne (50 mins) etc. The house is close enough to walk to the station in 5 minutes (or run in 3) but not close enough to hear the trains. BUS - The bus stop for Brighton is 4 minutes away (20 minutes into the heart of Brighton) and the bus stop out of Brighton including direct coach service to Gatwick (30 mins) and Heathrow (2 hours) is just 2 minutes away. WALKING - Brighton Pier and beach is just 2 miles away, a 40 minute stroll via the North Laine, the Lanes and the Royal Pavilion. - Free wifi connection - 3 TVs (both living rooms and second bedroom) - Integrated sound system in 3 rooms (Sonos) - Solar-heated water (Hive control system) - Kitchen basics and equipment available for use within reason - Sheets and towels provided - The house is only child-friendly for under 3 year olds if given prior warning as we have an intricate original balustrade on the first floor with large gaps in it which would need to be screened off as it was when our child was younger. - 2 out of the 4 toilets are macerators which means nothing unnatural except toilet paper should be put down them and anything even as small as a plastic razor protector may block or break the system with pretty nasty results! This includes the en-suite toilet, sink, shower and the ground floor toilet and sink. - No pets allowed however anyone who is very allergic should note that normally we have 2 resident cats and we cannot guarantee a 100% fur-free zone although they will be on holiday with us and the house well-hoovered.read more

Gerry was very polite and had a big smile which was very welcoming. He had a very relaxed attitude. It was our wedding anniversay and he suprised us with a bottle of champagne which was enjoyed on the roof terrace! We enjoyed our experience and will be staying there again.

Gerry has a delightful town house on three levels in this desirable part of central Brighton off North Lane. Gerry was friendly and helpful, making our stay easy and enjoyable. He rents a room with double bed, which was comfortable (not necessarily the case in rented rooms), and was flexible about our using his rear patio garden. (The large bathroom is next door to the rented room, and is shared by Gerry). This is a perfect location in Brighton, if you are planning to rent a room rather than a whole property.

We really appreciate Gerry's helpful orientation on the arrival! Our 1-day exploration in Brighton turned out to be quite 'productive'- he genuinely offers all the information we need to know. The location of the house could be more convenient! And it is exactly as tidy and clean as shown in the photos! Will def book again on next trip to Brighton!

Quiet location in the heart of brighton bordering bohemian kemptown and colourful villiage'y Hanover, close to Queen's Park and nice local cafes, 10 mins to the 'Laines' and City centre. We are on top of the hill with wonderful views to sea & City. Friendly house in the heart of brighton bordering the bohemian kemptown and colourful villiage'y Hanover, 5 minutes walk from Queen's Park and nice local cafes such as the popular wild cherry cafe. We are on top of the hill with wonderful views out to sea and over the centre of Brighton. You can walk everywhere from here, 10 minutes into the north laines of Brighton with their many individually owned shops and cafes, theatres etc and 10 minutes to the beach. We are offering our nice good sized ensuite double room with large double bed, with memory foam mattress, suitable for two persons or a couple with a chiild as we have a single fold up bed suitable for one young person. This room has the best panoramic views in the house. Whilst very central the area is quiet and not much traffic. If you don't feel like walking into town there are good local pubs nearby offering decent food. From the front room you can go directly up the stairs to your room without needing to walk through the main part of the house, so you can have your privacy My partner and I are involved in health / alternative medicine and music You can stay one night or up to one week at a time maximum Fresh coffee making facilities and tea and water are provided in room We offer a simple breakfast in your room, of cereals/granola/muesli (according to your choice) with fruit and milk (non dairy is available if you let us know in advance), and croissants. There is a mini fridge to store milk etc. There are also many lovely cafes, restaurants and pubs, to choose from, within easy walking distance You walk into the small hallway of our house and straight up the stairs to your room on the right. There is no need to walk through the main part of the house, so it is quite private. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have when you arrive, information about local cafe's and restaurants, with our particular favorites, will be there in your room. After that we will leave you to enjoy your stay, but feel free to ask us anything, as we've lived in Brighton 10 plus years and know the City and area well. We live at the top of a hill with views out to sea and over the City of Brighton, on a clear day you can even see the Isle of Wight, and you get to see wonderful sunsets from your room. You can explore the colourful and higgledy piggledy streets of Hanover, visit the lovely Queens Park, wander down to Bohemian Kemptown, and explore the great independent shops and cafes of the North and South Laines (10 mins walk). Brighton Pavillion is 10 minutes walk, well worth a visit, wander in its gardens, visit the museum and art centre there, or you might want to see a film at 'Dukes at Komedia' an independent art house cinema in the North Laines. There's the Dome and Theatre Royal nearby too, with many other smaller, lesser known but interesting venues offering all kinds of entertainment nearby too. Then of course there's the beach and pier and you are also close to the Downs with beautiful walks, accessible by public transport Our street is in a controlled parking zone, with some metered zones, however there is free parking close by, two streets away from Albion Hill and beyond. Whilst its easy to walk pretty much everywhere from here, there is a regular bus service at the top on the road on Queens Park Road, going to Brighton City Centre and onto Hove. A taxi to and from Brighton main line railway station is aproximately £4 - £5 and similary from the centre of Brighton back home if you do not want to walk up the hill! We are offering tea and fresh coffee making facilities in room, and a simple continental style breakfast with juice, granola/muesli, fruit and croissants. There are many lovely cafe's around within easy walking distance, we have listed our favorite ones for you and left this in your room.read more
