  • Was exactly what I was looking for. Nights can be cold, but Karylyn has more than enough blankets to stay cozy - very cute space / definitely a little nostalgia!

    Samuel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karylyn is a fantastic host who will go out of her way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Communications were answered quickly and accurately. The room is separate from the main house so it's very private. The bathroom is not connected to the room and is about 50 feet away, but was very clean and inviting. I will be back! Thank you Karylyn!

All are welcome! This place has a lot of history, and I love to share what I know with guests. Pictures, and the stories that go with them are among guest favorites.
Paved sidewalks make daily strolls ever so enjoyable. Lots of walkers in this area, so be prepared for friendly conversation.
  • I visited alone at night before going to sugarloaf to snowboard. Diane was a wonderful host with a smiling warm welcome and very thorough in her hospitality. The neighborhood is right off the main road in town and quiet/ safe. Her house has lots of space and is very homey, typical New England style. It is a little cold at night but not bad with blankets. I woke up to the amazing smell of pancakes which were wheat, blueberry and very yummy! Coffee and tea also provided. Great place to stay if skiing at Sugarloaf, not a bad drive between. Helpful and clear house info provided and a whole pamphlet Diane has made with lots of info about what the area has to offer! Wifi is good in the rooms (I was able to stream without a problem). I highly recommend staying with Diane! :)

  • Breakfast was delicious and the bathtub was heavenly and exceeded all expectations, hopes and dreams. I slept like a rock! Very hard to get out of bed in the morning! The kitties were fun and entertaining and Diane’s hospitality and conversation were 2nd to none.

  • Such a sweet and cute old lady. Loves to chat but respectful of your space

    Chris2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. A real feel of an old-style home makes it even more unique. There's a cute cat to welcome you who is really social. :) Diane is a perfect host and those Pancakes in the morning are just the things you want on a cold morning. Thanks Diane. Would surely stay here again !!

    Monal2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Diane was the best host you could ask for. Helpful and friendly. Respectful of privacy but there to chat about photography and sightseeing when I was free. Delicious pancakes. And her home was absolute lovely. So much attention to detail in the decor!

    Harmony2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We, the whole group really loved the place. The house was really nice and clean with a whole lot of collectibles. Diane was really warm to welcome us in. We did rafting with the Northern Outdoors at the Kennebec River and it’s just 20 mins away from her place. Have a warm stay at The Bakers House. And don’t miss her pan cakes with for the morning breakfast.

  • This place is awesome and made my trip wonderful. Breakfast was very good!!

    Parminder2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Diane for 12 weeks and let me tell you, this is a great place to stay. She is a wonderful host. Her house is incredibly clean, she is incredibly awesome to be around. She will happily show you the area if you are interested, will play scrabble with you, and makes wonderful breakfast. I can't recommend her or her home enough. She was always incredibly respectful of space and has a beautiful home to lounge around in or watch the storms on the deck. Thank you for such an amazing summer Diane and I will be staying here whenever I am back in the area.

Welcome to Maine and lake life! This cozy little cabin is a stones throw away from the waters edge. Enjoy the deck and dock as you watch the loons, bald eagles and other local wildlife. Our guests have access to our kayaks and canoe if you want to get off the shore and out into the water. The pond is great for swimming and perfect for small children. Take a little time for yourself and enjoy the peace and serenity of the pond. Check out our larger main Lodge https://abnb.me/WG8ppGX6vY
About an hour and a half from Portland and Acadia National Park, this tiny cabin puts you close enough to it all at an extremely reasonable price point! Where else can you get enough room to sleep 4-6 people (6 if you have kids) people that is lake front with access to kayaks, canoe, BBQ and a fire pit at this price?!? Enjoy the serenity of the waters edge where you will hear the welcoming call of your neighbors- the loons and Bald Eagles.
Easy access to nearby Pittsfield, Skowhegan or Newport for shopping and dining. Access to Interstate 95 is just minutes away.
  • I would give 10 stars. Jamie and Sam, the cozy cabin and it’s location far exceeded my expectations. Sam and Jamie are very friendly, helpful and generous (!!!), yet respected privacy and space. I couldn’t recommend this sweet, rustic cabin and hosts more.

    Sarah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cabin with everything and more!!! Beautiful views of the lake peaceful atmosphere and a warm cabin for those chili October nights. Sam was absolutely great a text away but we got all the privacy we could ask for even though the main house is a few steps away. The cabin was spotless, comfy and plenty of room. We were able to cook our dinner in the BBQ and our breakfast in the little oven. A good size refrigerator in the cabin made it a lot easier then using a cooler. I was very hesitant of the outside shower for those chili October nights but it was the best thing ever!!! We did not use the kayaks but Sam made sure we knew there were available. We will definitely return during the summer so we can make a better use of the lake. Thank you for having us.

    Anastasia2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Sam’s place. We spent most of our trip at Acadia, but the cabin is nearby other nature sights, plus there were kayaks we could have used. The heater kept us warm when we were worried we might get cold. Sam and Jamie were kind and communicative and we couldn’t have asked for more responsive and attentive hosts! This cabin felt spacious despite the fact that we had four people there, and it’s a great value. We would certainly return.

    Ashley2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sam's place was exactly as described but even more comfortable and enjoyable than I expected!

    Elizabeth2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. Please make sure you understand how to use the compostable toilet- we didn’t have that 100% aright. Otherwise, lovely place!

  • Really great stay , very private, and a very cute cabin with a beautiful view !

    Kidder2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely time. Only regret was that we were so busy with our plans, we didn’t plan out more time to actually hang out at the cabin and go canoeing. Next time!

    Sophia2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sam was extremely responsive to all of my questions. The directions were very clear and we had no problem finding the cabin. It was very rustic and quaint- the perfect place to spend some time away from life's craziness and unwind!

Typical 1890s Victorian has character. Modern kitchen & downstairs bath, rest of the house has period details & mix of antiques & newer pieces. Hardwood floors throughout. Comfy beds with plenty of quilts & old-fashioned wool blankets. Old books to peruse or pull out the Scrabble game! Step back into the past - No TV or cable, but there is a flatscreen TV with a good selection of movies. Wifi, too. Ext security cameras. PLEASE NOTE: limited cell phone reception - AT&T & TMobile = NO reception!
This old house is full of character and history. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close to "downtown." I can be your tour guide, as time allows.

  • Nice person and nice place

  • Baker House B&B was such a great place to stay! Our room was cozy and Diane is so accommodating with anything you may need. All the amenities needed were there for us in our room, and the shared bathroom space. Every space was super clean. In the morning, Diane had breakfast ready with a lovely table set with OJ, coffee, and our choice of banana and walnut pancakes ( she reached out ahead of time to see what we may want - amazing!). Diane also has pictures and knows all the history of the house, and we just loved all the thoughtful touches of keeping the space true to its original look. We just loved our stay at the Baker House B&B!

    Emily2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Diane’s hospitality is unmatched! She brought a warmth with her care and conversation that is much appreciated in the frigid north country. Her 19th century home had all the modern amenities that we could ask for all the while sticking to its rustic character. We used the Baker House as a home base to ski Sugarloaf mountain and hike the Maine Huts and Trails. We would highly recommend location and Diane as a host.

    Brian2019-12-30T00:00:00Z

  • A beautiful house and a very nice hostess. For nature lovers, the area is breathtaking, especially in the sunny autumn.

    Abdelmalek2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were driving throughQuebec City down to the coast of Maine and needed a place to stop and spend the night. While we were at Diane’s, enjoying her company and the company of some of her young students, my husband became ill. She guided us to the nearest hospital and stayed in touch with us during our hours there. I came back from the hospital to spend the night with her and she made sure I was comfortable and the next morning filled me with outstanding pancakes at her dining room table. She went beyond the usual responsibilities of a hostess. And her accommodations were comfortable.

SNOWMOBILERS WELCOME! The Hideaway is located in a remote and sparsely populated rural area. Excellent hunting, boating , mountain biking, skiing and snowmobiling are found nearby. It features a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, an all season sun porch with wood stove and. futon, a washer dryer and ample parking. Owners live nearby and make use of a nearby garage.
At this time there is no cable or satellite TV or Internet. There is a TV equipped with DVD player. There is a good Verizon signal for hot spotting and phone use.
Although halfway between Quebec city and Boston the Hideaway is in a distinctly rural area. There is a large working dairy farm nearby and great unbroken maine woods commences just a few miles to the north. Deer, turkeys and dirt roads abound. 9 miles to the south lies Skowhegan, the county seat.
  • Beautiful AirBnb with lots of space! It is a cozy place to stay and is about an hour 10 minute drive to Sugarloaf. I loved the wood stove and comfortable beds!

    Nicole2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice spot for our family stay. I would recommend this rental to others.

    Matt2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We'd go back to John's place in a heartbeat. We hung out at John's in the evening and snowboarded Sugarloaf during the day. I'd highly recommend staying there as it's most-of-the-way to Sugarloaf from Boston. The drive is a little over an hour to the mountain when the roads are snowy. The Hideaway is really a great value; pretty country around there, super peaceful. There's plenty of sleeping space and a good kitchen with coffee. His own paintings are hanging throughout the place which really gives it a personal touch (he's actually quite good!). John made sure to stoke up the wood stove before we got there which was great. At one point we accidentally blew a fuse and John came by right away to help us out. He lives across the street so is super available if you need anything. There's is heat besides the wood stove that works really well, so you don't have to worry about keeping the fire going, though I would highly recommend it!

This "camp" is located on Wyman Lake directly off Rt. 201, approximately 8 minutes north of Bingham. A large 1 bedroom 2 bath home boasting a large shoreline. I am currently taking extra precautions during the coronavirus. For all bookings, I will block the 3 days before and after your stay. This way I can give the rental 60+ hours before I enter to clean and also so I can guarantee that I am the only person inside the rental 72+ hours prior to your check in.
Please note we cannot provide internet at this location. Check with your cellphone carrier if wifi is a necessity before booking. We do have dish TV. This is a pet friendly home but in an attempt to keep the cleaning fee affordable for all guests, only one dog is included in the cleaning fee. Up to 2 dogs are allowed at the rental, an additional $20 fee will be charged for a second dog. I provide extra sheets to put on any furniture your dog uses. If your dog sleeps in the upstairs bed and it is left covered in hair, I will add a $10 laundering fee. If the dog damages the quilt, it will be a $30 replacement fee. The rental is hard wood floors. I ask that you do not leave pets home alone outside of a crate.

  • We really enjoyed the cabin! The beds were nice and comfortable and the hosts were outstanding having the cabin heated nice and toasty before our arrival on a cold night. The cabin was easy to find and a great central location to lots of outdoor activities.

    Lance2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin we stayed in was cozy, warm and the perfect spot for us to visit with some local family. The kitchen was a good size and stocked with enough cooking supplies to cook a full meal for them. The area is very remote so make sure you bring everything you need because the nearest real store is 30 minutes away. It is super great that they allowed pets and my puppy enjoyed himself as well. I heard from locals the restaurant on site is good but we didn’t get to try it ourselves. Host was super responsive when I had to message her .

    Heather2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and cozy cabin. Several homey touches. Full kitchen with enough provided pots, pans and dishes to cook at the cabin but I would recommend the restaurant is your stay overlaps with their open hours. Very quiet location.

  • Wonderful, clean, spacious, cozy and good food on site! What more could you ask for from a cabin in Maine? I booked the Poplar cabin via Airbnb. My brother, husband, his brother and I were there for a siblings weekend and it happened to be the same weekend as the Harmony Fair. The restaurant is open 7-7 Friday and Saturday, 7 to noon Sundays. Perfect for the weekend guests. There are three cabins, two in the woods and 1 (the poplar cabin) in the center of the area. The cabin stayed a great temperature for sleeping, we had a mini fire outside to sit around at night, there were 4 twin sized beds and one huge king bed. Plenty of blankets, towels, cooking utensils and counter space. Full sized fridge and stove/oven. My group was there because we had planned a full day of paintball up at the Flying Dutchman in Guilford, Maine. (So fun!) Couldn’t have been happier or more pleased with the location, amenities and ease of booking and getting the key. A+ , 100%, 10/10. Definitely recommend. Thanks for a great stay!!!

    Tiffany2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful place for a quiet getaway. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed with everything you might need except for the food. The rooms are very spacious and fantastically decorated. The beds are very comfortable. Even during the 85 degree days we were there, between the beautiful trees and the style of the cabin it was cool and comfortable, no fan was needed. We even turned off the overhead fan. A very nice place to stay.

  • The cabin is a beautiful place to stay. The nature around is amazing. If you stay here during warmer weather, I recommend looking up at the sky as it is beyond beautiful. You are able to see all the stars. Living in the city has made me appreciated the little moments of nature that I experience and this is definitely one that will stick! Larry is an excellent host, he made sure we felt welcomed. He was always a quick text away. If we ever come back we will be staying here again! Thank you so much, one last time!

  • We spent a very nice weekend at Larrys' place after an afternoon of snowshoeing at Sugarloaf (about 1h drive). Larry was very welcoming and very helpful. The place is really cute and cozy. I would definitely recommend to stay there. Best,

  • Absolutely the place to stay in Skowhegan! This home is unique yet cozy. I would recommend staying at Larry's cabin to anyone I know!

  • If you're looking for a weekend escape, genuine hospitality, and beautiful views, then Larry's place in the place for you. My husband and I needed a break from the chaos of the city, and we were able to hang at this awesome cabin for a low key weekend in Skowhegan, Maine. It's rare (or at least in my experience) that you get to meet the person who owns the place you'e staying in, but Larry made sure to check in on us! We spent an hour talking with him and learned much about the area. Additionally, we were able to bring our black lab, Crosby, who probably loved the space more than we did. Thank you, Larry, for a much needed break from reality. We'll definitely be back this summer!

It was a beautiful place to stay that was close to our outings for the weekend including tubing and hiking. Relax, you're in the peaceful woods of Maine. Gorgeous piece of property with WIFI & the whole house is yours. House is open, spacious & beautifully decorated. Perfect for a romantic retreat, family outing or group of friends. We have a beautiful river at the back of our property w/ a nice walking path to get there. This area is loaded with winter and summer activities. We're close to Moosehead Lake, Greenville & Monson! ATV, Snowmobile & outdoor equipment rentals near by!
The house looks and feels like a big open cabin on the inside. You have the whole space to yourselves to enjoy. There is one bedroom downstairs with a private bath, another bedroom upstairs also with a private bath, and the third bedroom is a loft which is accessed by a set of ladder stairs and has two twin beds. There is a bathroom on the main floor that can be used by all. The single bed in the "common space" is a folding single bed that we only provide when guest parties are seven and is an additional $15/person/night. We provide all linens, shampoo/body wash-in-one in the showers, wifi, Netflix, a few games, coffee and tea. You are free to use the pellet stove if you'd like, we have instructions in a binder in the kitchen. BONUS: This property is equipped with a generator that will keep the whole house running should the power go out! We ask that if this happens, please limit the use of the washer, dryer and any other heavy equipment.
Abbot Maine is an outdoor paradise! Snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, attend a dogsled race, icefish, hike and sight see are just some of the activities to do in the area. Greenville, home of iconic Moosehead Lake, is a 20 minute drive north, historic and charming Monson is 10 minutes away. There is a dining guide in the guest binder in the kitchen to these towns. Also in the binder are pamphlets to a few local attractions of the area. Piper Pond is only two miles down the road with a public beach and boat landing and ice fishing in the winter.

  • Stayed for a snowmobile weekend, very nice place. The hosts were great .

    John2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I stayed the weekend to tour the area for potential wedding spots. We were accompanied by our 4-month-old daughter and we had such a great time. We were there just before peak foliage and the view of the lake against the turning leaves was absolutely gorgeous. Both the cottage and the property were clean, peaceful and everything was just perfect. Cyndee and Pete were some of the nicest, most accommodating hosts I've stayed with. Highly recommended!

    Amy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Charming and relaxing retreat. Needed some time to relax and unwind... perfect spot for it.

    Jared2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place. Cyndee and Pete are amazing hosts.

    Ashley2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little spot, right on the water, you couldn't ask for much better access to the lake. The right balance of privacy, but with friendly hosts to sit and talk about the day with as the sun goes down. Lovely hosts, lovely place.

    Tom2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our very cozy chalet and the beautiful view of Wyman Lake. Cyndee and Pete are great hosts and we enjoyed them.

    Rebecca2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our time at Cyndee's cabin. Cyndee and her husband Pete were so friendly, hospitable, and made sure we had a great time. The cabin was roomy, well-stocked, and comfortable. The property was beautiful with great outdoor fireplaces, a big dock, and a special point overlooking the lake where we had coffee every morning. We used Cyndee's one kayak and brought a kayak and spent every day paddling the 13 mile lake. We saw eagles and loons on the lake and searched for moose sightings. There are amazing hikes nearby and numerous waterfalls. We have never stayed quite this far north in Maine and we loved how different and quiet it is compared to central Maine. I would highly recommend staying in one of the two cabins.

    Julie2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful place with a great setting and even better hosts! Pete and Cyndee even brought us out for a boat cruise our first day, recommended great places to go, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip! Highly recommended

This small, quaint cabin brings you back to the basics. Not fancy or pretentious, but far more comfy than camping on a cold ground. You'll have what you need, a warm bed, private full bathroom, small fridge, microwave, use of gas grill, campfire pit and all amenities of the sporting camp Pine Grove Lodge.
While here, get outdoors and look for moose and other wildlife, hike to Houston Brook Falls (1/4 mile,) canoe/kayak or use the beach at beautiful Wyman Lake (1 mile,) and relax by your own campfire or visit the communal fire to get to know other guests. Maine Guides are available with services like fishing, fly fishing lessons, canoeing/kayaking, ATVing, private Wyman Lake cruises on a large pontoon boat, and backcountry Jeep 4X4 excursions!
This is a rural area, called Pleasant Ridge Plantation, 4 miles from town, on the edge of complete wilderness but still on pavement. An area rich with logging and sporting camp history, it is a very safe place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while walking, biking, boating, or even getting into the deep woods on a guided Jeep tour. The town of Bingham has a well-stocked grocery store, Dollar General, 3 gas stations, and a few eatery choices.

We had a wet days travel on motorbike thru Maine and so appreciated her warm welcome and accommodation of our needs. We were quite cold and tired when we arrived but soon felt alot warmer and brighter after meeting Louise. Her home was a sweet oasis after a long trip. The bathroom was gorgeous as was the comfy bedroom. I loved the pillows and slept very well. The hot chocolate and heater were greatly appreciated upon welcome. Highly recommend. Thank you for everythin!

My place is an easy stroll to the lake, nestled in the woods. You are within walking distance of swimming, sailing, kayaking, and canoeing in the lake. We have a paddle board available. Conveniently located close to the lakefront restaurant (limited hours), an in Maine off-broadway play at the Lakewood Theater and for golfers, there is the Lakewood 18 hole course just up the road. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). Town of Skowhegan is 8 miles south.
This is the original home of a manager of the Lakewood Theater. Many of the actors over the years stayed here, including some Hollywood notables. Theater is in its 116th season. Our cottage is not that old. It is a rustic, cottage in the woods, by Lake Wesserunsett, in Madison, Maine. A short drive to the town of Skowhegan.
Ours is a unique neighborhood. There are year round residents, summer residents, and short term folks. Everyone is quite friendly. Salmon Road, a loop road, there are about twelve cottages. You can stop and chat with just about anyone you may meet along the way. The easy beach access is at Lakewood, on Beach Road. Very close to our cottage.
  • This is a great place that is well appointed, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful three days there and hope to return next year.

    Andrew2019-08-09T00:00:00Z

  • If you’re looking for an authentic vintage Maine cabin experience, you’re in for a treat!

    Ceridwen2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maine cabins on a lake are a unique experience, and for all you stick-to-the-coast type folks there's another world waiting. A walk away, Lakewood theater, golf course, and restaurant gives you a sense of the good life and transports you to the 1920s and what was certainly the bees-knees then. Mosquitos aren't fun and quiet, rustic settings aren't for everyone - but give yourself time to adjust and prepare and it becomes familiar and comfortable.

  • Excellent little cabin in a great location. Very good value!

    Naomi2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cute cabin and the perfect amount of space for 3 adults and a corgi. AC unit cooled the entire cabin, it was nice having a tall shower head, and we really appreciated the clear check in instructions, list of local suggestions, and guest expectations found on the kitchen table.

    Melissa2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet, private and lovely spot. Denise was very accommodating to a late arrival. The porch light was on and the air conditioner was running—thank you!

Looking to get away from your everyday hustle and bustle??? Look no further. Named “Peace be with you” by one of our guests, this is a wonderful place to disconnect and refresh while enjoying the sounds of Loons. Swimming, boating, windsurfing, water-skiing, tubing, sunning, hot-tubbing, fishing, or simply cruising around the lake exploring all it has to offer. October holds some of the most beautiful foliage outside of the white mountains and November is a hunter's paradise.
The interior of the home is simply beautiful. Most of the interior was custom built in knotty pine and the hardwood maple floors simply light up the home. There is an open and airy loft overlooking the living room with huge glass windows overlooking the deck and lake. The finished basement holds the fourth bedroom and has sliders directly facing the lake. The fully-equipped kitchen is available for your home cooked meals. A washer and dryer are also provided. The first floor master bath is full sized and the upstairs bath is a 3/4 bath. The home has approximately 2600 square feet of living space. There is a full-size soft and fluffy futon in the loft, so if you are the kind of person who likes to wake up to an expansive view of a pristine Maine lake, then you will want to claim that as your bed!
The home is located on Great Moose Lake's huge northeast cove, providing easy access to the main body of water but not as busy to boating traffic. Located just over three hours north of Boston, this home is ideally situated for spring, summer and autumn vacations. There is 125 feet of very private rocky/sandy frontage on the lake with a 25 foot dock to access the water from. The frontage itself is deep water with a small sandy access area for smaller kids and deep-water from the end of the dock. There is a public boat launch available. On Great Moose Lake, you will enjoy swimming, boating, windsurfing, water-skiing, tubing, sunning, fishing, or simply cruising around the lake exploring all this lake has to offer. There is a floating dock, the perfect place to spend a lazy summer day soaking up the sun. Also on sight is a 6 man outdoor hot tub. Fishing is open year round and you can expect to catch Brown Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, White Perch, Chain Pickerel, Cusk, Salmon, Brown Bullhead and Brookies in the tributaries. For the autumn vacationers, October holds some of the most beautiful foliage outside of the white mountains you'll ever see and November on Great Moose Lake is a hunter's paradise. There have been several good sized bucks taken over the years by the hunters who have stayed at the house. Nearby you will find restaurants and golf courses, as well as a guide service which will cater to your needs, be it fishing, photography or simply exploring. If you love good micro-brewed beer, be sure to ask about the Oak Pond breweries tour.
  • You can't beat this location, the lake is so quiet especially for its size, so much fun to explore. The house itself is exceptional, plenty of room for all 9 of us. The kids had lots of fun swimming and kayaking in the lake. There was also lots of games and blow up rafts to use, which was a nice surprise. Thank you for letting us stay in your home, we had such a fun and relaxing week.

    Tina2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The lake house is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family and disconnect from the outside world. Calm and serene, it was everything we wanted from this trip. We loved grilling out every night, and my brother-in-law was ecstatic about the fishing. If you’re considering staying here, do it!

    Rebecca2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Jim and Zainab's cottage. Communication with the hosts and a local caretaker was great. The house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The deck is great, with wonderful views, very comfortable furniture, and a great grill. The house comes with kayaks and life vests, a swim platform, and a nice selection of board games. The kitchen is fully functional (although more plates would be helpful). The beds are comfortable (although some of the bedrooms are small) and have air conditioners. The owners are undertaking renovations that will update the house and make it even better. We had lunch at Nettie's a couple of times, and groceries are about a 30 minute drive away. My family came away with memories of evening games in the gazebo watching lightening bugs, kayaking around the lake and exploring the islands, epic Xbox championships, lounging on the swim platform, and cooking over the bonfire. I highly recommend this property for family vacations, and we hope to return there.

Everything with the room is as-stated and we enjoyed the rustic feel of the rest of the house. Would recommend if you find yourself near Bingham and need a place to crash!

She encouraged us to feel free to use all of the house. We thought the bed was comfortable, and enjoyed the deep bathtub. The bath is shared but we were the only guests . • This place was perfect for our winter getaway. Great value, plenty of space, beautifully appointed, and Michael was a great host.

    Steve2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say is WOW. This Airbnb is one of the nicest places I have stayed at. Lots of kitchen space to cook and the layout of the home is spectacular. Be sure to check out the record player, they have an amazing collection! Michael was extremely communicative and kind to respond to our questions. We will definitely come back here

    Jason2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Bohemian Rhapsody is a gorgeous and expansive oasis that was the perfect setting for my family's long weekend getaway. It’s private enough to make you feel like you’ve truly gotten away from it all, but still just a short drive to stores and other amenities you may need. The home was well-stocked, including plenty of cleaning supplies, spices, food, and we enjoyed a drink from the large bar. Michael was very communicative and flexible and ensured we were comfortable at every moment, including ensuring timely plowing when a typical storm came through. We enjoyed hanging out at the large dining table playing games, listening to records while making breakfast, cozying up in front of the fire watching Netflix, and even venturing out onto the frozen lake for some outdoor recreation. In the evenings, my siblings and I were then able to retreat to different parts of the house and have our own space as well. Michael has lovingly created an amazing destination in Bohemian Rhapsody that your family will love.

    Stephanie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Bohemian Rhapsody is everything advertised and more! We chose this property for its size, location, and the fact that it’s all decked out for Christmas. We enjoyed our stay even more than expected! Beautiful home with great decor, comfortable, and stylish. Gorgeous fireplace, great kitchen, comfy beds, and a fabulous hot tub!! Spotlessly clean as well. Would definitely stay here during any season. Communication was easy and quick. Recommend highly and would give 6 stars if I could :)

    Sara2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bohemian Rhapsody was the perfect location for our fall anniversary getaway. The house was clean and well stocked with little touches, the hot tub was luxurious, and our hosts even greeted us with a fresh baked apple crisp! Our only regret is that we could't see the house in all its summer glory, so we may just have to visit again.

  • The place was very very nice and it was perfect for our weekend. It was a little hard to find but Christina was responsive and helped us find the right location. The lake was beautiful!

    Rory2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing and worth the money. The waterfront was beutiful and crystal clear. Some small things were wrong but overall it was a great trip and absolutly worth the money spent.

    Andrew2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Christina's cabin/camp was perfect. Quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. Great location for some time to relax and recharge. Christina was very responsive to any questions I had. Her listing is spot on accurate. Kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, and appliances. There was ample bedding and linens. Self check in was easy. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

    Chantal2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy place, loved all the games and movies provided! Great place to stay in and keep warm during the cold weather! Perfect get away!

    Alesha2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was absolutely perfect! It actually started to snow a bit on the Saturday we were there. We brought extra little blankets and enjoyed the nights and watching the snow outside on the screened in porch. I can’t wait to come back!

    Eileen2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for something in between “going up to camp” in Maine (i.e. roughing it with no indoor plumbing) and an overly-luxe quartz-countertop experience then Christina’s rustic cabin is right for you! This lakefront cabin strikes the ideal balance. It’s more spacious than photos allow (good for 2-4 adults) and we visited during peak foliage season. The views were stunning and Christina is a very prompt hostess in her responses. Tip: there’s a cook-your-own lobster/seafood pound less than 15 minutes away called High Tide Low Tide in neighboring Madison, ME. There is also a corner store about 6-minutes down the road for any incidentals you may need including basic groceries and alcohol (they also have a small cafe with fast food, pizza, and coffee). Christina’s cabin has indoor plumbing with hot water, direct lakefront views and access, toaster, toaster oven, working stove/oven, no microwave or grill at the time we visited, yes to an adequate indoor shower, screened-in-porch, TV (no WiFi/cable), plenty of tissues and paper products and soap, some cobwebs and other evidence of nature (not a good match for those who desire white-glove cleanliness; yes a good match for those who want a compromise between ‘roughing it’ and not being able to enjoy a rustic Maine experience due to too many luxe amenities), spectacular views, and a responsive host. Unplug and unwind!
