  • This stay was wonderful! A lovely area and spacious and clean home. The host was easy and proactive to communicate with. The setting was absolutely pristine. This was the perfect mixture for my family to gather. It was particularly nice to have some toys and books for the little ones, and lovely and calming wrap around porch for reading and enjoying the sounds of the river. I would come back any time!

  • We had such a relaxing weekend away in the McCoy's cabin. Once we arrived, we didn't see another human until we ventured back out. No cars, no neighbors; just solitude, the sound of the river & the noise of the local wildlife. The porch was where we spent most of our time, and it was perfect in rain or shine. The kitchen was gorgeous & worked like a dream for me as an avid cook. I can't recommend local restaurants, as we didn't eat out one time because we just didn't want to leave our fortress of solitude. The McCoys were great to work with and provided all the information we needed and then some. We are already planning our next trip here!

  • Perfect house for a getaway with friends. Included a lot to do and secluded so we didn't bother anyone. More beautiful than the pictures

  • This home was a great indoor/outdoor space for our large family with 3 infants! Because if the large deck we were able to Enjoy the beautiful weather including a fun rainy night by the fire! The home was much larger than we expected!

  • AMAZING! David's place is phenomenal, and he has truly thought of everything to make your stay unique and comfortable. The home is close (10 min) from grocery/starbucks/hiking/dining, and the downtown area is adorable if you're into noodling around antique stores. But the mountains and local area is so gorgeous, you won't feel compelled to leave (we didn't). The home itself was perfect - spacious, well thought-out, with plenty of room and options for things to do. The river is a 2 minute walk away, where you've got a beautiful view of wildlife (we saw wild foxes and a turkey!). Beds are perfectly comfortable and we wanted for nothing while we were there. My favorite part was the multiple outdoor areas, all covered from weather and with a fan, where we could sit with family and chat. I rented this home for a quick family getaway, and we would absolutely rent it again. One of my favorite Airbnb experiences to date! PERFECT! Thanks so much for having us.

  • Absolutely gorgeous place to stay for a secluded mountain vacation. Lots of outdoors activities to enjoy when you're not enjoying the wrap-around porch and hot tub!

  • Go stay here. Find an excuse and do it!!! The drive and surroundings in the area are beautiful. Mark is an absolute pleasure. He is a natural host! His place is magnificent and so so clean. He definitely has the best view of the sunset in his neighborhood. The apartment is very cozy and quite upscale. He goes above and beyond by leaving lots of books, local pamphlets, a stocked kitchenette, candies, lots of soft clean linens, several toiletries, just everything you can imagine needing. Amazing time there!

The place is super clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. This place is a true gem and is terribly underpriced. We can't wait to come back!

  • Emma's place was the greatest experience for our first air bnb stay. It is a lovely location in a beautiful neighborhood. My husband said " it was like we were staying in a deluxe bird house up in trees over looking the creek". This stay had me hooked on air bnb.

    Diane 2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's place is absolutely beautiful! The view is amazing and the river is so peaceful! I would definitely stay here again!

    Andrea 2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place to see the solar eclipse in its totality in August, and I quickly found this place to be cozy and peaceful. It was steps away from the beautiful Hiwassee River. I haven't been in nature much, but this ended up being a really nice plus. The room was large with a nice charm to it and separated from their house. I suggest having a phone light or flashlight ready if you plan to walk around at night. For those staying in, DirectTV is provided on the tv. The wi-fi is a bit spotty, but shouldn't be much of a problem for casual surfing after a day of activities. Emma and her husband were great hosts and also let us be. I would stay again! A great steal for the price.

  • If you are looking for a secluded, peaceful place to spend some time relaxing, this cabin is for you. It has everything you could want or need. My boyfriend and I came here to spend a few nights away from busy city life. We loved the screened-in porch and the fire pit. You're in your own little world out here. It's not too far from Jackrabbit Mountain, where we hiked and swam. We would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone!

  • Lovely secluded cabin.

    Drew2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was absolutely amazing!!y close friends and family came on this trip hoping to get away from the Atlanta hectic life and got exactly what we wanted. The area was quiet and secluded. We were able to walk around and drive around the cabin itself and drive and enjoy the scenic view. The cabin had just about everything you could think of. We roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, watch movies with a variety of movies provided to us, grilled on the electric grill, played so many games, all while we were sitting in the screened in patio. The beds were very comfortable and the decor of the cabin was just the cutest. We are people that tend to sleep in but we woke up early just to enjoy the screened in patio and views, and slept late enjoying every minute there. We recommend this place to our friends and family after everyone say pictures of our stay here.

    vincent2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a secluded place for vacation or a getaway trip, look no further. I headed here for the weekend with my dog to take a break from the city and had a wonderful time. This place is perfect and the pictures don't portray how immaculate the property is. The cabin is perfectly decorated and has a huge screened in porch, comfortable beds, and numerous outdoor seating areas. The hosts provide free internet, Netflix, s'mores supplies, a kitchen stocked full with every pan/utensil/tool you may need. They thought of EVERYTHING when preparing the unit for rental (even had dog treats for any pooches who may be visiting) and I have no suggestions for improvement. This listing is very well priced and I will absolutely be making another trip out to this cabin.

    Nicole2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was prettier in person that it was in pictures. The screened in porch was our favorite part and loved being able to sit out there in the peaceful surroundings and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Would definitely recommend to others and stay here again.

Julie provided an outstanding home cooked breakfast and I was able to enjoy her company as she prepared the meal. I learned a lot about the area and her family's place in it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

  • Had a great time at Karl's place! Clean cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Beautiful porch that made for a great relaxation spot during several rainy afternoons. Wal-Mart & Ingles grocery store were close by & easily accessible, as was the downtown Murphy area. Burger Boy in town had great burgers! Drove a couple hours to get to Fontana Dam where we hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail, hiked at Fires Creek picnic area (30 min from cabin). Nice, crisp, refreshing stream at the base of the falls. Perfect for a warm & humid day in NC! Drove half an hour to Lake Chatuge in GA. Visited Boundary Waters Marina to kayak - beautiful location & views! They also have paddle boarding, boat rentals, & jet ski rentals for very reasonable prices. Didn't have wifi at the cabin (which I hadn't anticipated because i totally didn't register that it wasn't listed under the "amenities" on the cabin rental page). Was a little inconvenient, but also slightly refreshing. All in all it was a great vacation! Karl's place is clean, spacious, & quiet if you're looking for a nice little getaway

    Mallory2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most enjoyable stay at Murphy Hollow! From the moment we walked in, we felt comfort - everything was immaculate and fresh, and so fun to see a nice welcome note waiting for us. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and a nice large refrigerator for your food. We loved being there so much that we mostly ate breakfast and dinner there even though Murphy is just 5 minutes west with restaurants and great hospitality. Our favorite spot was The Daily Grind for coffee frappucinos to cool us off! Also there's an awesome grocery store about 10 minutes away called Ingles for anything you might need and also a Walmart next to that! Karl's suggestions on where to hike and enjoy the area were so helpful! It's a nice drive to the Nantahala Outdoor Center or a quiet picnic at Fires Creek or an afternoon drive to Helen. The highlight of each day though was sitting on the amazing porch of the house, which has you at tree top height in places, watching deer pass through the back yard down by the fire pit headed to the meadow. We saw a total of four in one day including a doe and her two spotted fawns. The cutest thing ever! There were times we hated to leave to explore as we didn't want to miss the deer!! Bottom line - Murphy Hollow is a great place to get away and chill. Thank you for sharing your home!

  • My wife and three boys (ages 3, 3, 5) had a wonderful stay at Karl's place in Murphy. The house is well equipped with all the creature comforts. Nice open space in living room/dining area, fully stocked kitchen with appliances, cookware, etc. Huge DVD collection for both young and old. Lots of board games, too. Karl was an excellent communicator that made the whole process extremely easy. He also gave us some nice recommendations for stuff to do in the area. I highly recommend his place to anyone looking in the area.

    Chris2017-06-25T00:00:00Z

  • WOW!!! What a wonderful weekend!!! Sandy and Jerry were absolutely amazing hosts and the cottage was so nice that I hated to leave. They provided everything we could ever need including a fully stocked mini refrigerator as well as my son's favorite dessert. The weather was cool enough at night that we were able to take advantage of gas fireplace. The scenery was beautiful including a surprise visit from the local wildlife (deer & rabbits). I hope we can come back another time to visit. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the mountains, away from all the stresses of everyday life. Thank you Sandy & Jerry (and Muffin) for a great experience!

  • A cozy carriage house snuggled in a magical, spiritual glen nestled amongst the mountains providing a sanctuary and haven of heavenly serenity and solitude. The beauty of this resplendent valley was only surpassed by the benevolent graciousness of our two hosts, Sandra and her husband. Their generosity knew no bounds and they surpassed all expectations. We were the travel weary beings laden with burdens and the troubles of this world led to the wise sage of the mountain glen who enveloped us with effervescent kindness and spiritual guidance and at night Sweet Dreams was the interlude that ushered in a more harmonious and rested spirit. Oh to return to the glen, my glen of heavenly serenity!

  • Cute, cute place. Amazing views. A warm welcome by a lovely couple. Sandra went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted/needed. She made phone calls on our behalf to help us set up activities. Will stay there again when in the neighborhood.

  • We visited for the solar eclipse and the view was perfect.

  • I absolutely LOVED this cabin. It was the most perfect weekend I could have ever imagined. I have used Airbnb a lot and this was by far the best. I did not want to leave. She thought of things no other host would think of to make our time more than enjoyable. They were there to help you with whatever you needed(even drove you to places), but would stay out of the way if you wanted a romantic evening in. Not like we ever wanted them out of the way because they were so sweet, but they knew time alone was necessary. Fully stocked mini fridge and a bottle of wine on arrival made our time in the most pleasant. This is the only place I have ever been to that I want to immediately book again! Thank you both. :)

  • Sandra and Jerry did an awesome job providing a comfortable and beautiful atmosphere for which we could enjoy a relaxing weekend away. The carriage house was absolutely beautiful! Sandy went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of - both my fiancé and I would recommend this beautiful Carriage Home to future travelers.

    Calli2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in the rolling hills of Brasstown Valley, the Carriage House was the perfect location for our cozy New Years Eve trip. Sandy truly goes above and beyond to ensure an amazing stay- stocking the place with breakfast food, wine, and other amenities. She even provided champagne and other NYE party gear to top it off! Apart from enjoying each other's company at the Carriage House, we spent our time exploring local hiking areas and the nearby town of Murphy. We were sad to leave this magical place before getting to know Sandy and Jerry better.

  • Had a great time everything was perfect. Bagels with cream cheese, tea, orange juice, coffee, were all provided. Even dry cleaned robes were provided for us to wear. I would recommend and I hope I can stay again

Guest suite features private entrance, king-sized bed, private bath, private living room/workspace & kitchenette. Your front door faces a beautiful garden! The space is located right off of the John C. Campbell Folk School campus situated beside our music workshop and retail store. Come and go as you please. Your suite is situated under our bedroom so we ask that you respect quiet hours between 9 PM to 7 AM. You will have access to the suite which includes bed, bath, seating area and kitchenette. We have check in set to 2 o'clock. If there is no guest checking out before you, we can be flexible on that. Just send me a message and let me know if you would like to be in the room earlier. My husband and I will be nearby at most times. This is a rural area. If you were taking a Folk School class, you can walk to campus. It is dark at night and there are no streetlights. We recommend a car but keep in mind that walks around the neighborhood can be lovely. There is a music store next to your room. Customers come and go. They are typically quiet and respectful. There will also be pets & children roaming the area. They will not have access to your room but will expect some pats and compliments as you come and go.
This is a rural, scenic community.
  • A perfect, private spot to stay a few minutes away from John C Campbell Folk School. Beautiful surroundings, and fascinating hosts. We intend to return!

    Deane2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemarie's place is in a beautiful garden setting at ground level without any steps to navigate. The space is quite large and accommodates a kingsize bed, sitting area with 2 comfortable armchairs, a worktable and desk chair, a kitchenette with microwave and full size fridge, and a dining table. I had plenty of space for several suitcases, misc. bags, and 2 instruments. Their property is down a quiet country lane with very little traffic and was quite tranquil. Being so close to the John C. Campbell Folk School (about a mile) makes it a great choice if you prefer off-campus housing.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our time!! Rosemarie and George are superb hosts!! Very quiet and relaxing. John C Campbell is literally around the corner. We enjoyed their craft store and Saturday night concert. Murphy and Hayesville are both less than 15 minutes away. Love the beautiful area and loved our accommodations!!! Will be back!!!

  • We evacuated FL & found Lori's cabin in North Georgia. Her place has a charming main room that overlooks trees & has cute decor. Was a great location for my little ones to explore outside and take walks by the local goats and sheep. Thanks again Lori!

  • Lori was a wonderful host, and her cozy house was absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway in the mountains. The location is awesome and there are so many great places to explore nearby, even though the house feels like its peacefully secluded on the side of a mountain. Lori was very communicative and offered us some great suggestions about places to dine and visit. She made sure our visit was special and that we had everything we needed. Overall we had a great time, and we are looking forward to the next time we get to visit!

    Jennifer2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a beautiful place for a quick getaway! The pictures do not do this place justice. Extremely clean and quiet area, felt completely outside of society. Lori has thought of everything and the place could not be better equipped. Awesome hiking as close as a 20 minute drive away.

    Kaylee2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as pictured, this beautiful and comfortable cabin is truly a getaway, isolated in the beautiful NC forest.

    Creighton2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a place off the beaten path then this is the place to go. We enjoyed the town and visited Lake Chatuge at the Clay Country Rec Park every day of our stay. We spent most of our time exploring but the cabin was a good home base for our trip. Cell service was spotty, which is to be expected, but the wifi worked to our satisfaction. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the woods!

    Pavel2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described. Perfect little place to stay! Quiet and perfect!!

The winding, tree-lined road takes you up Clover Lane to a well maintained vacation home with central heat/air and modern appliances. Park the car in the circular drive, put the groceries away, then enjoy the breezes from the elevated front porch. Whether you come to escape the summer heat, or marvel at the vivid colors of autumn, the slow pace and serene beauty of the Smokey Mountains calls.
My parents, Jim & Carmel Pierce, built this house as a summer retreat after retirement and used it until their passing. I acquired the house and began updating it and making it mine. Hence the name, Pierce-Huber House.
Enjoy your secluded spot, away from the rat race, while only minutes from town, restaurants, entertainment, grocery, and shopping.
  • ~ A Hidden Gem! ~ My friends and I spent four days at this gorgeous location to catch the 2017 solar eclipse. Despite having two bedrooms, the space is huge and never felt cramped. The decor is a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary, making it feel modern yet homey. Carol, the host, has made sure you have all the comforts of home: a propane grill, dishwasher, washer, dryer--even an espresso machine! While I was impressed by her attention to these tiny details, what really dazzled me was her generosity. Carol did a wonderful job of making sure all the appliances were well stocked, right down to extra K-Cups for the Keurig. The property itself is as lovely as the cabin inside. It is private, quiet, and tranquil. We saw several deer in the yard as we relaxed on the enormous deck. Because it is a bit off the beaten trail, you have to drive up a gravel road for a few thousand feet, so be careful if your vehicle sits low to the ground. It's still convenient though--you're no more than 15 minutes away from town if you need to grab some food or do some quick shopping. This spacious cabin tucked away in the Nantahala National Forest offers more than meets the eye.

Our Guest House with 1 bedroom and a loft sits perched above the Hiwassee river. Perfect for the couple but will comfortably accommodate 4 guests. If your looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors or a relaxing romantic getaway this could be it!
Situated along one of the most scenic sections of the river, which is dam controlled from Lake Chatuge . Great for fishing, kayaking, tubing or just playing in the river.
Our property has 200ft of river frontage, with 1 neighbor.
  • Peggy's & Lyndell's guest house is like new, beautifully furnished with easy access to the river and hiking. While always nearby, they respected our privacy, but were available if we needed anything. The place is remote with few good restaurant choices, although with 30 to 40 minute drives the choices open up and touring the area can be fun with quite a number of opportunities to shop antiques and local flea markets. Downtown Hayesville is quaint and can be taken in pretty quickly. If you want to dig in and relax at a secluded cabin in the woods overlooking the Hiwassee, we highly recommend. Very peaceful with the sound of the river flowing by. The kitchen is very well equipped, so with provisions you'll have everything you need without going out. They also have a nice selection of DVDs and books, and the living room and outside deck are comfortably furnished. The loft is a kid's dream if you have children, but a little small for an extra set of adults.

    Michael2015-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lyndell promptly responded to our last minute reservation request and let us check in early. This is a newer very nicely appointed cabin built onto but very private from his home. The river setting is very quiet and relaxing. The bathroom is luxurious and the kitchen equipped well for cooking. 4 of the beds are up a spiral staircase to a loft overlooking the family room. The staircase may be difficult for some adults to maneuver but perfect for kids. very nice place for a family to get away from it all.

    Cathy & David 2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lyndell was very helpful by making sure the door was unlocked when I arrived and that I knew where everything was (and how to work the bathroom floor heaters!) he even printed out directions for me to where my training was and also let me use their landing since I had no cell service. The place was beautiful and I had all the peace and quiet I needed to study and rest.

  • We had a wonderful time! Everything is as described. Very nice home, immaculately maintained.

    Thomas2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully furnished, lovely guest house, with everything we needed for a relaxing, if far-too-short, stay. Short drive to town, rushing river to lull you to sleep, walking path and easy access to the river. We met Lyndell our last morning and had a delightful conversation about the history of the house and life on the river. Enjoy!

  • I spent a delightful week at Nicole's while I was attending a class at John C. Campbell Folk School. The room was spacious and comfortable and would have easily accommodated a roommate. The bath was also large. Nicole and her son were very welcoming and made sure that I had everything that I needed. For those away from their pets, the house dog and cat are friendly and available for petting. Her home is only a couple of minutes from the folk school by car. Also, the view off the front porch of the mountains and nearby farm is postcard beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

    Ellen2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole and her son Cole were so welcoming and had everything prepared for us. My sister and I had such a wonderful time staying at their beautiful artistic home. Both of us slept like logs on the comfortable beds and the extreme countryside quiet. Being from the city it was hard to even imagine how quiet it is at night in the country. It was wonderful. Their house was so close to our destination, the John Campbell Folk School, that we were able to spend most of the day exploring the school and still had time to visit several small surrounding towns for local artists and their wares. The first night we played cards out on her fabulous porch and watched the cows grazing across the street in the beautiful green pastures all bordered by mountains and trees. Just beautiful.

Be at ease in our mountain cabin family home with picture windows showcasing the south Appalachian Mountains. It comfortably fits 6, is tucked away from the sight of neighbors and roads, and is just 8 minutes from the John C Campbell Folk School.
Imagine a tropical beach house crossed with a mountain cabin. We've borrowed some of the flavor from our travels to spice up our home, making it feel like a cup of Chai on a rainy day or a beach Casita in the winter. The art is whimsical and worldly, the colors bold and bright. Our space fits up to 6 people who have a sense of humor and like each other's company. The master bedroom includes a queen bed and a full bath. The loft is equipped with a full size futon and a divided wall for a full size air mattress. The entrance room doubles as a cozy nest fitted with a twin daybed.
We love the privacy! The house is tucked away from the sight of neighbors and roads. It is located in a tiny neighborhood on a little ridge. We live intentionally without television and Internet so we can keep our attention on what is happening through those big windows that frame our view of the land and mountains across the way. I hope that guests will appreciate the gift of tranquility in this interesting place while exploring what it is that brought you here, be it the folk school, the forests, the nearby towns, the lakes, or the local culture.
  • Home uniquely decorated and so artsy loved it! Nice and quiet. We got to see wildlife in mornings and evenings was amazing.

  • I loved my stay here. It's a great location and the views from the balcony are quite something. The room is large and has everything you need. Marlene and Jim are friendly hosts and you get a great breakfast in the morning!

    Thomas2016-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marlene and Jim are warm, engaging people. I immediately felt at home. They are good conversationalists and they love to laugh. The room was spacious, private and offered beautiful mountain views. And their dog, Buddy, will make you not miss your own pet. And, their home is but a few short miles from the Campbell school....where I had taken a class. Jim's blueberry French Toast was a real treat. Am so glad I stayed there!! ☺

    Vic2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marlene and Jim are phenomenal hosts!!! They went way above and beyond our expectations. They are so kind and welcoming. We had a great time talking with them over breakfast and coffee (which we didn't expect but they made us a drool worthy French toast and egg breakfast both days we stayed). We felt like family while visiting. Marlene gave us an excellent recommendation for food. The home itself is beautiful and quiet. "Buddy" their dog is an added bonus...he was a sweetheart. The bed and room are huge and super comfortable. It was such an easy BnB and we would undoubtedly recommend this place to stay.

    Gabi2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was wonderful! The loft was very comfy and they had so many touches that made us feel taken care of and at home! They even had breakfast for us the next morning and chocolates on the counter to share with us. We went up for a business trip and it was a very restful, good weekend!

    Lauren2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Marlene is very good at this: she and her husband did everything possible to make us feel welcome and special. I recommend her home to other travellers.

  • Warm. Gracious. Interesting. Ever so friendly. Marlene and Jim are out to spoil their guests... and succeed! Comfortable, inviting home in a natural location with lovely view. Spacious bedroom with luxurious bed. Large, immaculate bathroom with all amenities tended to. Yummy and complete breakfast. An inspiring story framed on the bedroom wall. Best of all were their gifts of time, friendship and TLC. And let's not forget dear Buddy :) I'd go back in a heartbeat. Absolutely.

Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of extreme western North Carolina with access to several white water rafting adventures, seasonal mountain events in northern GA and western NC, 45 min. from Helen, GA and more! All within breathtaking scenery!!!
Privacy and quiet are the hallmarks of this location. There is a large living area and a full size kitchen with dinette. There are two bedrooms. One has a king size bed and the other two twins. There is a full bathroom. The entrance and parking are private and exclusive.
  • Ken and his wife were wonderful hosts and the dog of the house is very adorable! My sister and I travelled to North Carina due to a parent being diagnosed with cancer. Not long after our arrival hospice care was ordered. Ken was very patient when plans changed during our stay. The accommodations, although not "fancy" worked very well for our stay. The kitchen and living room in the front have loads of natural light and the bedrooms and bathroom are well lit. The grounds a short distance from the lodger's entrance are not well lit so if you want to take a walk (with or without your dogs) at night, it would be best to bring a small flashlight, especially for "picking up" duties with dogs. The location is within 20-30 minutes of the surrounding towns and the home is surrounded by trees. Once you step out the door there are many relaxing nature sounds that you can't hear inside (cicadas, roosters, birds, etc). It is a very peaceful and private location. I would definitely stay again - hopefully under better circumstances.

    Denise2015-08-07T00:00:00Z

    Kimberly2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • I was traveling for work and needed little more than a roof over my head. What I ended up with was a full, two bedroom apartment to myself. The location was very convenient to Young Harris College and the host was exceptionally cordial. As someone from a much flatter, urban area driving a rented Chevy Suburban (a very large vehicle), the twisting side roads and hills felt like quite the adventure, but the roads were very drivable. For larger parties, beware that there is ample space for numerous guests but the only sleeping surfaces available at the time of my visit were a pair of day beds. Though I didn't make use of it, the spacious kitchen appeared fully functional. I can easily recommend this space for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with woods and forest without leaving civilization behind.

    Robert2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic place which was well kept. A serene neighborhood good for a great getaway while being not too far from Atlanta. Ken is a good host and everything was as promised. I would highly recommend Ken and this place.

If you're looking for a serene mountain getaway, you won't find a better home base than this phenomenal Warne vacation rental cabin! Boasting 2-bedrooms, 1.5-baths, and accommodations for 5, this unit promises an unforgettable retreat for friends or families!
On the drive in, you'll be surrounded by natural alpine splendor. 'Lorelai's Lair' sits on 3 acres of land at the end of the lane, and offers an immense sense of privacy amongst the magnificent towering oaks and lush North Carolina vegetation. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the welcoming front porch, the ideal place to unwind offering quaint wooden rocking chairs and a breezy hammock. To further your level of relaxation, the interior of the cabin features all the comforts of your own home and more, including air conditioning, wireless internet access, wood-burning fireplace and in-unit laundry machines. Everyone will have plenty of room to spread out and relax among the unit's 900 square feet of tastefully appointed living space, making this the ideal lodging choice for a family or small group of friends seeking a tranquil escape to the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. Wake early to the sounds of roosters crowing outside of your window, as the sweet mountain breeze blows through the cabin invigorating your senses. You'll look forward to sipping your morning coffee in one of the wooden rocking chairs as you watch the warm sunrise above the treeline - if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the deer or rabbits munching on the roses! Keep your eyes peeled for the abounding wildlife surrounding the property, as wild turkeys, whip-poor-whills, and woodpeckers are known to frequent the area. Savor a delectable meal at the charming dining table or take it outdoors and dine al fresco in the crisp mountain air on the back porch. If the weather is nice, head outside for dessert, where you can roast marshmallows by the flickering light of the outdoor firepit. Soothe your troubles with a soak in the private 4-person hot tub, as you share a decadent glass of wine with friends beneath the marvelous night sky.
Although 'Lorelai's Lair' offers all the comforts and conveniences that you could ask for in a home, perhaps the best feature is what lies around it. Several popular events are hosted in the three towns near the property, including the Georgia Mountain Moonshine Cruiz-In, Georgia Mountain Fair, and various concerts at the Georgia Mountain Fair. Soak up some of the sweet southern charm found in the neighboring towns, as you explore the quaint streets lined with hometown boutiques, classic cinemas, and enchanting antique shops. Discount coupons to Crane Creek Winery are provided with each booking, where wine enthusiasts can enjoy tastings, gift shops and special events year-round! Of all the adventurous paths you may take during your stay here, be sure to let some of them be dirt! 'Lorelai's Lair' is mere minutes from Chattahoochee National Forest, where you can hike the nature trails, gallop through the trees on horseback and explore the stunning waterfalls. If you'd like to experience the area by water, head to any of Lake Chatuge Recreation Area's multiple boat rental locations, and spend your day splashing around in the sparkling blue waters. Regardless of how you plan to spend your time during your stay in this gorgeous destination, this incredible Warne vacation rental cabin ensures a serene, nature-filled getaway you won't forget anytime soon!
