A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house. It has a 3/4 bath (shower). The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis covered with roses and grape vines set in an English Garden. Also, see our equally nice "Victorian in the Heart of Ballard" rental: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928
A cozy cottage behind a lovely Victorian house with separate access and a 3/4 (meaning shower but no bathtub) bathroom. The cottage has a brick patio and a large trellis on the south side covered with roses, grape vines, and wisteria and is surrounded by an English Garden. The pictures posted should give you the right idea. (Alternative accommodation: We also have a really lovely rental space in the main house. See: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/20928 ) The cottage: there is a microwave, a small fridge, and an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. It offers considerable privacy if that is desired. The bed is queen-sized. Extra high-speed WiFi is also provided along with cable TV, including all of the premium channels. It is also possible to close some giant wood-paneled pocket doors if you want to divide the studio into a bedroom and sitting room, if case someone wants to sleep and someone else does not. The cottage is used as a studio by Liz (who is the English gardener) when it is not being used as a guest house. So there is a lot of (really excellent) art, mostly studies in the human form, on the walls and shelves. (If you would like a cast of one of the statues, talk to Liz.) The Ballard Neighborhood is a great place to visit: *10 minute walk to downtown Ballard with fabulous bars and restaurants, great Sunday farmers market, nice three-screen cinema, and much more. *5 minute walk to the Ballard Locks, where ships enter and exit Puget Sound from Seattle waterways. *10 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Buses also run regularly downtown from close by - either to downtown Seattle or to the University District and elsewhere. Evenings are very quiet here and the air quality is unusually good for a city. We get a fresh sea breeze off of Puget Sound in the early evening. Guests find the cottage a calming and refreshing refuge from the bustle of the city.
Ballard is a fantastic destination neighborhood for restaurants and bars and music. We are an easy walk (5-10 minutes) from downtown Ballard. Great breakfast places even closer.
  • This cottage was perfect! Brad and Liz were both very nice and helpful, which I appreciated especially being a solo traveler. The location is ideal with a short walk to restaurants and Ballard Locks. I would definitely stay again next time I get to visit Seattle!

  • Stayed here for a couple of nights with my husband. Brad and Liz are excellent hosts. Good with communication to ease checkin and answer any questions. Have excellent recommendations. The place is comfortable and well appointed. Lots of table and chairs outside to enjoy the garden. Had a great time and would stay here again.

    Mary2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very nice. Exactly what I anticipated based on the listing. Brad and Liz were nice, I did not have much interaction with them due to my late arrival and working every day while there. I would stay there again and recommend Brad and Liz's spot to any friends or family.

    Adam2014-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Liz's place is the best deal in Ballard. Their cottage is serene and a very close walk to the main drag. I would happily stay again! P.S. Liz is a very talented sculptor!

    Chris2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a lovely place that was extraordinarily convenient for me--an extra blessing. It had everything I needed including fascinating artwork to look at as it's Liz's studio. There was even a lovely kitty who visited with me when I sat on the patio in the morning. I was able to walk the maybe 4 blocks to a gardens and the locks and watch salmon swimming even. It was a great stay.

    Patricia2011-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was amazing, exactly what was described and very homely. The art thats everywhere is so beautiful and makes the stay even more enjoyable. The two cats are very friendly and there was a great selection of tea waiting for us too. Location was perfect, a short walk to Ballard cafes, restaurants, shops and buses downtown. We would most defiantly recommend Brad & Liz's cottage to anyone who wants a great space to chill while seeing the sights of Seattle. Many thanks guys, if we return we would not hesitate to stay again.

  • We stayed at the Cottage in Ballard for the Solstice Parade in Freemont last weekend and had a great time! Brad & Liz are wonderful hosts, which we believe is paramount! (Not that the futon wasn't extremely comfortable, with satiny cotton sheets and plenty of towels etc.,) We had a dilemma with our car window not closing, and Brad immediately went to his workshop for duct tape and plastic! Ballard is a fabulous community to stroll through, with plenty of great restaurants and shops. The farmers market is also interesting. It was fun staying in a residential neighbourhood, in a charming heritage style home/artist' cottage, and meeting Brad and Liz.

    rita2012-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brad and Liz provided clear and concise entry instructions. I found the cottage to be in a perfect location in Ballard, a place I wanted to get to know better. The grounds are lovely and the space itself will meet all of your needs and very much makes you feel like an artist :) I hope to stay again in future.

The location is great and you are only a couple of minutes away from the center (driving). We loved also that we had a parking spot right in the front, that makes is always so much easier.

  • This place is amazing! Beautiful use of space. Everything we needed and then some! I will definitely be staying here next time I visit Seattle.

  • we LOVED this place!! just beautiful, quaint, charming. there is a beautiful garden in front of the cottage that is just splendid. the cottage is so cutely designed... we were taking notes on how to decorate a studio well this entire weekend. the host was super responsive and hospitable. their attention to cleanliness and how generously they furnished the apt made our stay one of our favorite airbnb stays so far. we also loved their book collection.

    Lily2013-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • One of the loveliest airbnbs I've stayed at in one of my favorite neighborhoods on the planet.

    shehab2016-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely! Thank you both, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Great neighbourhood, everything you need is provided for, including nightgowns, umbrellas, sleeping masks, hair dryer, even perfume. So cute! Only downside was that the wifi connection was unreliable, especially on my iPhone. Oh and the noisy leaf blower at 9am. Other than that it was a perfect choice and I would definitely recommend your cottage to others! For persons choosing to stay here: I recommend trying TOP POT and Joe Bar which are both very close by!

    Nicole2013-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • THIS IS THE CUTEST COTTAGE. EVER. We absolutely loved our stay at Erik and Pamela's adorable cottage. Every detail in the cottage was attended to: restaurant menus, a hairdryer, cleaning supplies, logs, iphone charging cords, etc. The fireplace was incredible - we happened to visit Seattle during a particularly rainy and cold weekend....the fireplace kept the cottage romantic and cozy. Their place was within a five-ten minute walk of the hippest places in Capital Hill. Should we get an opportunity to return to Seattle again, we will DEFINITELY stay here! I could not recommend this cottage more!

    Beth2014-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very comfortable and it's a charming neighborhood. Didn't meet Pamela, but Erik was very friendly and graves tips on where to eat. Everything seemed to be in walking distance for dining. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were great and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The decor was really neat. If we come back to Seattle we would gask to stay there again.

    Neil2013-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little cottage only a couple of blocks away from happening Broadway in Capitol Hill. The Cottage is very well stocked, having everything you would need and more. I loved the robes! Such a nice spot and you can even see the space needle if you walk to the end of the street. Erik was a great host, giving us a helpful rundown of the area and he has stocked the cottage with plenty of helpful Seattle literature. Can't wait to go back!

  • What an amazing place! Regina is extremely kind and really goes out of her way to make sure you are in comfort. The room is exactly as it looks, and it is a beauty. The bed was very comfortable. Many little cafes around and downtown is only a 10 minute drive away. I couldn't have asked for a better stay :)

    Edgar2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Regina made us feel so welcome! She gave us access to everything we needed and more! Her neighborhood was absolutely darling and I fell in love with the area! It was a perfect place to start a week of adventure with friends. The listing was very accurate & told us everything we needed to know.

    Lindsey2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was so welcoming and accommodating--I had a wonderful retreat at her urban cottage and returned home refreshed and rejuvenated, as I'd hoped!

    Stephanie2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Experience was great with Regina. Made my group feel very welcomed. Highly Recommend.

    Will2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was a friendly and welcoming host! We were only in the cottage for one night and were provided with everything we needed in a very creative space. The bathroom and yoga studio space (where tea and coffee are provided) is in the basement of her home, so you do have to walk outside to get to it. It is only a few steps away and you are also provided with a key so that you have access to it at all times, so its not a problem! Shower is a little small but again wasn't a problem as we spent most of our time in the cottage or exploring Seattle. Very close to many Fremont restaurants and Gas Works Park. Thanks Regina!

    Leyla2016-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Regina's cottage. The room is spacious, but felt cozy and bright inside. The bed folded out of the couch, but was quite comfortable! Overall, it was a quiet and restful night. We'd been a little trepidatious about having to trek to the main house for the bathroom, but the doors were only a few feet apart and easily navigated in bare feet. Inside, the bathroom area felt private, like an extension of the cottage. Unfortunately, due to our own busy schedule, we didn't get to meet Regina in person, but she was in good communication with us the whole time and accommodating to our schedules. Would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay - thanks so much, Regina!

    Richard2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Regina is such a wonderful person! She is so friendly. Helpful with everything, from showing me where to sightsee to where to have a good eat. If I go back to Seattle I will definitely stay at her place!

    Jonas Aleksander2016-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Regina was amazing, as was her place! The hostess is very friendly, nice, and understanding. She was very responsive and accommodating. Her studio has its own unique & wonderful character. Being there was a wonderful experience for my fiancé and me. We enjoyed the large space and privacy, and the incredibly easy and free parking situation - right in front of the house! Great location, beautiful place, wonderful hostess!

The Sunday market is a must, as is a visit to the many gelato, and ice creams shops. With Golden Gardens beach, the Ballard Locks and the Nordic Heritage museum all close by, there is plenty to see and do.
  • The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was really quite lovely and had a nice patio and garden. We highly recommend it and would love to come back again. Bev and Grant were attentive hosts.

    Mitchel2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bev and Grant's Ballard Cottage was my first Air BnB stay, and it was fantastic. The cottage is right in the backyard, but it feels very private and secluded. The neighborhood is great, quiet, and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. The place itself is adorable, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much, and Bev and Grant were extremely helpful.

    Nikki2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Bev and Grant were so helpful in recommending places for us and they were also always quick to reply. The cottage is cute, clean, and comfortable. We loved being able to walk to coffee shops and parks with our toddler. We would definitely recommend it!

    Cyndi2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay at Bed & Grant's cottage. Thanks!

    Derek2017-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Backyard Cottage exceeded our expectations. Tucked away on a quiet street, the cottage is very clean and quiet. The French doors open on to a small sitting area that is protected by trees. Bev communicated frequently without being one bit intrusive and was flexible and warm. The Cottage is conveniently located within easy walking distance of down-town Ballard. We would stay there again in a second.

    Peter2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed twice - each was a treat, and we hope to return again next time we visit Seattle! Bet and Grant are very gracious hosts and keep an immaculate cottage in their back yard.

  • This place was in a great spot to see what Seattle had to offer on a short time frame! Great to have kitchen and washing facilities too as we are away from home a few weeks. Sid was helpful and available when we needed him - all in all a great experience.

Everything felt high end, the building, the apartment, the area! The apartment was very clean, modern and relaxing all at the same time. Sid walked us through all the steps via email on how to check in and check out, very simple. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :) Perfect for a tourist. Near all the cool stuff!!! Museums, space needle, bars, restaurants.

Our Little House is easy walking distance from some of Seattle's best coffee, restaurants, markets and retail stores. The house, formerly a garage, was completely renovated in 2013. It sits behind our main house and includes shared access to a courtyard, outdoor seating and a BBQ grill.
The house is 363 square feet and contains a sleeping loft accessed by a ship style ladder. Guests access the house through a separate gate at the end of our driveway, which opens into the courtyard. The house is quiet and comfortable complete with a kitchen, small fridge, living area and bathroom. The queen sized bed is new as of September 2016. When Benjamin was 9, he vacationed with his family in a loft style cabin for a vacation. His love of lofts started and grew from there. Originally built as a guest house for family and friends and used as an occasional home office, we decided to open it up to travelers who want to visit Seattle and in particular our community of Ballard. The home was designed by Richard Hiner Architects and built by Carl Lind, with CB Construction.
Ballard is a popular Seattle neighborhood with a rich Scandinavian heritage and history as a "sleepy fishing village." Ballard isn't sleepy anymore. Our neighborhood is hopping with retail, nightlife and great restaurants. Independent shops including two record and CD stores, an independent bookstore and many non-chain stores and nearby. We have easy access to the Metro bus just one block away from our place. A short 15 minute ride by car or bus puts you downtown near the WA state ferries, Pike's market, the Space Needle and Seattle Center. Golden Gardens (one of our favs) is two miles away and has a beach including views of the Olympic mountains and the Puget Sound. Our Airbnb guidebook has recommendations for many of our top places. If you are looking for something not covered in the guidebook, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
  • We had quite a good time staying in this little gem. It was a perfect place to walk to a lot of good restaurants and night life. Ballard is such a fun community and not far from the heart of Seattle.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the little house. Property was in a great location for exploring Seattle. The local area of Ballard had many restaurants and bars after a day of exploring. Also a 24 hour super market within walking distance. Benjamin was very helpful and went the extra mile with plenty of soap, snacks, water coffee etc. The little house was very clean and modern, with a lot of unique design features. Thank you again for making our stay in Seattle a wonderful experience.

This open plan one bedroom enjoys a unique location at the intersection of the Downtown Shopping District, Financial District and Capitol Hill. It's within easy walking distance of the downtown tourist attractions, and within three blocks of almost all King County and Metro transit lines including the Link Light Rail connecting to SeaTac Airport. The apartment has a ton of character - original 1912 hardwood floors and moldings, 12 foot ceilings, bay windows, and a lovely view of Elliott Bay, West Seattle, and the Olympic Mountains on a good day. A full roster of digital cable channels are at your disposal, along with speedy and dependable wireless internet access.
  • Lauren was easy to contact with any questions. The Space was clean, well lit, nicely decorated and it was obvious that she took pride in her job. She went out of her way to be helpful and available. The space was simply charming and Maxine and I will stay with Lauren on our next trip to Seattle without a doubt. This experience really helped make our trip.

    Kyle2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Lauren exceeded our expectations! She was very accommodating with my late night arrival and addressed my issues and requests. You could not ask for a more centrally located position to visit Seattle!! It was a 10-15 minute walk to everything, including the WCC where I was having a convention. Several bus lines passed within 2-3 blocks. Shopping and restaurants were easily accessible, including the major attractions. We did not need to rent a car during our entire trip! As for the rental itself, it was the perfect size for my family. There were extra towels, blankets, pillows. The kitchen had everything you'd need. As another reviewer said, perhaps a folding tv table and chairs would be useful, as the kitchen would be too small to keep regular furniture. We didn't want our little guy to eat in the living room so he was more than happy to sit on the window sill and watch the cars roll by while eating his cereal. :) The building itself is secure with a keypad door. It is next to a major hotel and so there are always people around. All in all, we were VERY satisfied, and would recommend this rental to anybody visiting Seattle!!! Thanks Lauren!

    Leah2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was incredible! She met us at the apartment after giving us great directions. Had lots of recommendations for us about Seattle. The apartment was very clean and in a secure area. There was everything you needed in the apartment. Even though there is a construction project next door, it did not bother to us because we were touring while they were working. Would definitely stay there again!

    Jake2016-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Although Lauren did everything she could to make out stay enjoyable, she could not control the street noise of downtown nor the horrendous sounds from construction next door.

    Marcia2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was a wonderful host. She was proactive in all communication and made sure she was available for our check in and all of our questions before and during the trip. She advised us on car rentals, things to do in the area and parking. Her place is very centrally located to all the sights we wanted to see and many were walking distance. Lauren took a real interest in our enjoying our stay.

    carolyn2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Great host. I'd recommend to anyone!

    Josh2014-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren made us feel quite at ease and guided us into the apartment during the pouring rain. The apartment was quite cozy with the 12 foot ceilings, with plenty of windows, and a natural wood floor. Location is within 30 minutes walking distance to the Stadiums, the wharf, Pike Place, and the monorail to the Space Needle. One warning in that the apartment is on top of Mars Hill before the I5, so expect a 30 Degree climb up the hill from 2nd Ave. Definitely check out the Seattle Underground Tour if you can.

  • Lauren was the most fabulous host and went way out of her way to accommodate us! She seems to really enjoy meeting and helping travelers like us out. She had so many wonderful restaurant suggests and great directions. Her place was so charming and comfortable!wish we could have stayed longer!!

  • Dan and Kathy's Cottage was very quaint and modern. It was perfect for what we needed. We loved the decor and amenities. Dan and Kathy were very helpful and friendly. If we ever go back to Seattle, we will be staying there again. I would recommend to anyone who visits Seattle. It is very close to Downtown Seattle!

  • Great location, excellent communication from owners. Clean, quiet, relaxing and easy access to the city. Parking was a big plus too! I'd highly recommend staying here, I know I will in the future

  • Loved staying in this adorable cottage! So convient to where we explored around Seattle. Would definitely come back if we head to Seattle again. Thanks Dan & Kathy! - Sherry & Guy, Houston, Texas

  • Very nice place. Very clean & a cool little cottage. I would suggest putting a small sign as to where people should park so it's more clear- there were a few flower areas & it was somewhat confusing but a nice place & really easy drive!

  • This was a perfect place for us, and we'll definitely stay there again next time we come to Seattle.

  • Holy cow, this is a charming place! I had such a nice stay at the cabin. Kathy and Dan were responsive and very excellent hosts. I didn't meet them directly but exchanged a few messages with them before and during my stay. It was clean, comfy, inviting and just gorgeous. Thank you!

This is a 1957 El Rey, cousin of the Airstream. It has been completely refurbished with new everything. It's like a fort for grownups. Let your inner child finally have the vacation of his or her dreams... in my backyard!
Now's your chance to get away from it all, right here in the heart of the city. This is a 27' 1957 El Rey. It has been completely renovated with modern amenities, a private bathroom, shower and kitchen. No TV (hallelujah!) but we do have wireless internet, hot water, a refrigerator and plenty of space for storage and comfort.
It should be known that due to an ongoing territorial dispute, we locals refer to this area between Fremont and Ballard as Frelard (though technically, according to the City of Seattle, this neighborhood does belong to Ballard but don't tell that to Fremont, the Center of the Known Universe). Needless to say, the El Rey is conveniently located within walking distance of many great restaurants, coffee shops and entertainment centers, with private off-street parking and many busses running nearby. In fact, believe it or not, driving, biking or bussing to downtown Seattle is only 20 minutes away... depending on traffic, weather and drawbridges.
  • Really solid

    William2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay in the El Rey! We had just spent 5 days in Olympic National Park, this was a great way to adjust back to being in a city after such a quiet trip. Our check in time was a little unpredictable, Shawn made sure we knew exactly how to get in and where to park, etc. His area guidebook is really helpful and has excellent recommendations. The privacy of the El Rey was really nice for my husband and I, but we appreciated that Shawn checked in to make sure everything was going well (and show us Airstream newbies how to work the heater). Neighborhood is awesome, quiet but with plenty to do, not far from the "must do" landmarks like the Space Needle and Pike's Place Market. Would totally stay there again.

  • Great place, perfect location!

    Brandon2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect, and the location is epic! Any and everything you need is walking distance, and Shawn is the perfect host!

    Cayte2017-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • A fresh experience staying at El Rey – a great combination of urban and wild living styles. The RV is very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable than we expected. It also parks at a beautiful yard with a modern fence designed by Shawn. He is also a very friendly host who speaks gently. I especially like the booklet he prepared which tells you what to visit and good restaurants nearby. The only small drawback is that the street was a bit busy at night, but not a problem once you falling into sleep.

    Hsuan-Kai2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The description of the place was perfectly right, the neighborhood is great, and being at walking distance from Ballard avenue is nice too. The El Rey was perfectly romantic and well equipped. We appreciated so much the coffee bean, the grinder, and the cafetière! Thanks, We will be back soon!

    David2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The "El Rey"was cozy and tidy. Shawn helped us get settled when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay, the bed was comfortable We did not cook anything but refrigerator kept things cold

    Pat2015-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Shawn was awesome. He was ready for us when we arrived and showed us the space. He responded quickly when we needed anything! The El Rey was just what we expected from the listing and we had a blast staying there. The neighborhood is beautiful and there are a lot of restaurants, boutiques and bars a short walk away. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a simple base while you're in Seattle.

Foot friendly with lots of community gardens, called p-patches! I am in a neighborhood called the Central District (locals call it 'The CD') between the fantastic local eateries and shops in nearby Capitol Hill and Madrona 'hoods.' Like many US cities, the CD neighborhood has both has million dollar homes as well as a homeless population.
  • Julie was a great host who went out of her way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. The apartment itself is great - I really appreciated having my own entrance and complete privacy so I could come and go without worrying that I was being a disturbance. This is the perfect location for someone looking to spend some time in Seattle and not wanting to stay in a hotel. I particularly enjoyed walking from the apartment to downtown - it took about 30 minutes. Taking the bus was incredibly simple and quick as well (10 minute bus ride to get downtown). I would come back and stay here for sure!

    Rick2011-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I'm working on building a house a few blocks north of this apartment. I wanted a trip to convince my girlfriend to move with me by planning an "if we lived here" vacation. Foregoing the sterile hotel experience for ten days in a fantastic central Seattle neighborhood within walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, theaters, book stores, public transportation, etc. This place really was the icing on the cake and couldn't have gone better.

    Clay2012-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a great cozy place to stay while in Seattle! For us, it was perfectly located! We were able to walk to local stores, restaurants and coffee! The walking gave you a nice look at the eclectic Seattle neighborhoods. The size of the little apartment was perfect for the two of us, we felt right at home! We chose to get a rental car, which worked great for what we needed to do, however, the public transit is close by. Mapping out your adventures will help you decide if you need your own car or if using the public transportation would be best for you. We had a great time, it never rained on us! Julie was a sweetheart! She wants you to feel at home and is there for you if needed. She gives you lots of information for things to do. We would definitely go back and stay there again! So, if you're looking for a quiet, private place to enjoy your travels to Seattle, definitely check out Julie's place!

    Meleesa2015-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Julie's Airbnb. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood, conveniently located and easily accessible to downtown Seattle. The space was cozy indeed, tastefully decorated, very clean, and private. I was provided everything I could need and more, and the little details (coffee and tea available, toiltetries, etc) were appreciated. Julie was very welcoming of me to the space and communication with her was reliable if needed.

    Dinah2015-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect lil' gem we found! The pictures look exactly what you'll expect. Although, a little chilly a times, space heaters are abundant to use. Good kitchenette to prepare breakfast and a light meal. Cute bathroom and lovely amenities provided. Convenient to downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill & Central District. Clean and well maintained.

    Victoria 2012-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's apartment was so spacious, and was more than enough space for the two of us. Although it is not centrally located to the downtown area, it is easily accessible by buses. Julie provided a lot of information about Seattle and the best places to visit in the immediate area around her studio. She was kind enough to accomodate our early arrival and gave us a full tour. Great value!

    Lani2012-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for exploring Seattle! This place is located in Central District and you get almost everywhere in approx. 15-20 minutes. It is really very easy!! Julie is a great host. She does everything for you enjoying your stay as much as possible! She also has the right balance to ask you for any needs and give you enough privacy. The place has plenty of space for 2 persons! I can totally recommend staying with Julie.

    Leander2015-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I highly reccomend Julie's Guest Apartment! My husband and I stayed at this lovely apartment for a total of 4 nights with our two children (ages 22 months and 8 months) and it was perfect. Julie's communication with us was great all through-out the booking and stay. She greeted us upon our arrival, gave us a tour and let us settle in. She had picked fresh flowers for us from her very lovely garden, which she encouraged us to enjoy - and we did! The apartment has plenty of towels, a selection of linens for the bedding and many guides, maps and reading for those wishing to explore the city. Julie's thoughtfulness in anticiapitng what guests may want is very evident and appreciated:)The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood that is close to bus lines and walking distance to local coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants. We were able to easily use Julie's apartment as a great homebase to see everything we wanted to in the great city of Seattle. We felt like the apartment was our home. Thank you so much Julie - hope to see you again when we are in Seattle!

Location ! ! Downtown & Pike Place Market: 20-30 min walk, Capitol Hill is a 10-15 minutes walk. Comfortable home on tree lined side street of Pike/Pine. Multitude of cafes, restaurants, movie theaters & bars. Also see our Bedroom #2.
We are in a 'workers' Victorian house built in 1900 located a 20-30 minute walk directly east of Downtown on a tree-lined residential street. The private bedroom with queen size bed accommodates two comfortably. The bath is adjacent, and is shared if both rooms are occupied.
We've watched as our 'hood (Pike/Pine) has become a mecca for food, drink, and art. We have nationally recognized restaurants and bars (as well as numerous food trucks) within blocks. Music venues, and theaters allow for an exciting night life. Many coffee houses, interesting retail, and the best book store in Seattle keep the days interesting. The Seattle International Film Festival and the NW Film Forum both have local theaters with daily showings of indie films. We also have Central Co-op, a great place to shop for local and organic foods. Our neighborhood has a great diversity of people. Capitol Hill (just north of Pike/Pine) has been the city's gayborhood for years; Pike/Pine has been home to many of Seattle's arts community, visual, dance, theater; and Seattle University is just two blocks away. We live on a side street of homes from the early 1900's with several older brick apartment buildings mixed in. Its relaxed and low-key, a great place to walk and wander.
  • We had a wonderful time at Louis & Kevin's place. The room is perfect, with a very confortable bed. Louis & Kevin are lovely host. They gave us very good advices on what to see and do in Seattle. Definitely a good address :).

  • My girlfriend & I spent a weekend in the fun neighbourhood of Capitol Hill and that Louis & Kevin have been great host from the very start. Their place is cozy, clean and definitely has is own personality, which made our holiday more special!

    Gabriele2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic. Any recommendation would fall short of the true pleasantness. Louis and Kevin are just the best, very helpful and friendly. They have a very nice and cosy home located in a great neighborhood close to Seattle's downtown. We felt very welcomed there. The room was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. If you are looking for a great place to stay, that's the address.

    Artur2015-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • After spending 2 nights at Louis & Kevin's house I can't really recommend it enough. Upon arrival, Louis welcomed us into their home, gave us tips of the area and had even printed out maps (which came in super handy). Kevin was equally as welcoming when we met the day after too. The room/house is nicely decorated (love the framed leaves) and comfortable, there's a Keurig for morning coffee and you're close to Pike-Pine/Capitol Hill/Downtown, so all bases covered! We were given plenty of space and whilst we didn't need too much help, I am sure K + L would have been on hand straight away. If you're travelling to Seattle and want a great place to stay with lovely hosts then I wouldn't look elsewhere. Thanks Louis and Kevin!

    Alex2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Louis was an incredibly warm and generous host. We arrived a little later than planned and was greeted with nothing but smiles and parking (which is really difficult to find in the area). The house is simply charming with artistic touches throughout. Including his two adorable cats Sam and Little Girl. We will stay there again the next time we're in Seattle.

    Molly2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • What I liked about this place: very nice garden both on the front and backyard; convenient coffee machine =); natural flowers in the room.

  • Very nice, comfortable, clean, cozy room with private bath and private entrance. 30 minutes from door to parking at Safeco Field downtown. Very helpful and friendly communication. I hope it's available the next time we go to Seattle for Mariners or Seahawks.

  • I had a pleasant stay at the Burrow. Anastasia made check-in very convenient and was quick to respond using AirBnB messaging. The room was very clean and and exactly as described. The amenities were nice, particularly the heated bathroom floors and towel rack. I wouldn't hesitate to book again!

    Veronica2016-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Anastasia and her family were incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was absolutely perfect and we LOVED the bathroom. I know, how many people say that? But who doesn't love heated floor tiles?? The room was perfect for our Pacific Northwest getaway and if we're ever back in the area, we'll stay with Anastasia in a heartbeat!

    Jessie2016-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very comfortable stay. It was clean and adequate! We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub/shower, heated floors in the bathroom and heated towel rack. Thank you Anastasia for your hospitality, and we hope to stay here again.

  • Best night's sleep our entire trip. Outstanding bed. Wonderfully appointed nest..with touches of class such as doTERRA oil scents (with infuser) available, but not intrusive. comfy sofa, microwave, tv. Easy access to the community, great restaurants very near by. We felt tucked in and safe, happy little hobbit hole cozy. We were welcomed and then allowed complete privacy...everything we needed and (URL HIDDEN) was fabulous.

    Kathleen2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Anastasia was such a great host checking-in with us throughout our trip. Her place was above and beyond our expectations! They had a heated towel rack, heated floors in the bathroom, jacuzzi bathtub, and a sleep number bed. It was so luxurious! We couldn't have asked for a better place :)

    Tammy2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Anastasia's place. She made everything easy, with friendly, easygoing communication and simple check-in and check-out. The room was great, with a super-comfortable bed and lovely bathroom (especially the deep jetted tub), and we liked having Netflix and being able to park in the driveway each night. The location is convenient for getting around the rest of the city and we recommend Anastasia and her quiet, cozy suite for a comfortable Seattle visit.

This apartment is detached from my house and is located in a lovely residential area within walking distance of Ballard and two bus lines. It is newly constructed under an enormous Douglas fir so it feels like you are in a treehouse.
My small apartment is new construction with tons of light. It feels spacious yet compact. The standard double size wall bed converts into a table!
My neighborhood is quiet and safe. It's an easy walk to a shopping area or to a view of Puget Sound.
  • Listing is accurate: cute, cozy apartment in a lovely neighbourhood. Cyndy was easy to communicate with and left us out an extra aerobed. We stayed only one night and only just to sleep but would be a good place to use a homebase seattle

    Caitlin2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndy's suite is wonderful! Beautifully appointed, private, quiet, and comfortable. The location was perfect - we walked down to Ballard and back easily. Everything about this suite was well thought out and welcoming. From the heated bathroom floor to the extra blankets and fantastic lighting. I hope we have the chance to stay again.

    Stephanie and Kirk2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was clear and easy. We were only there for one night but others could take advantage of the small kitchen. One small problem is that the bathroom isn't fully cut off from the rest of the place so it can be a bit different. Overall though, we really enjoyed our stay.

    John2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect location for us this Christmas; a lovely, cozy place to end our days, a sweet little neighborhood within easy walking of cafes and shops and hosts who were present and attentive but not intrusive. For some inexplicable reason the shower rod/curtain fell down in the middle of the night and Cyndy promptly had it replaced the next day. I highly recommend this apartment. As long as my son stays living in Ballard (and continues to have 4 roommates) I will be back to stay. Thanks Cyndy for creating such a beautiful little retreat.

    geneva2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at Cyndy's Airbnb studio- a very bright, private space with skylights, pretty views, and a quiet neighborhood in a fantastic location. It was just a 15 min walk to the main Ballard shopping & dining area. The kitchen had all we could have needed. A very relaxing stay!

    Kristin2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndy's rental is beautifully maintained and our stay was everything we expected. Nice home, nice neighborhood, fun stuff to do only a mile away. Clean and comfortable, a great place to stay in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood.

    Josie2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location and very clean apartment. Cyndy was very easy to communicate with and made my stay very enjoyable.

  • Check in was a breeze. We were able to come and go whenever we wanted, which was nice. Walkable to the main stretch of Ballard. The bathroom was really nice, but not completely closed off from the bedroom which was a little odd!

  • My daughter and I stayed at Shellie's apt for my son's wedding. We had a wonderful time and loved staying at this apt. The location was great! One the second day I discovered Top Pot Doughnuts in the same building. Parking in the building was safe and convenient. There is a washer/dryer and lots of room. Shellie was a great host. She responded promptly to my emails and was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

    Connie2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The host made us feel very welcome. the place was nice, clean, and as described. Shellie was not available but make arrangements for someone to meet us when we arrived and left. the location was perfect. closely accessible to everything downtown.

    john2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Shellie arrived on time to meet us in the parking garage down the block and specially came to meet us during the work day which we appreciated. Upon getting settled in we realized that the kitchen was barely useable. There aren't actual cooking utensils to use so my plans to cook one night ended up not happening. The bed is very uncomfortable and the pillows definitely leave much to be desired so bring your own if you're picky. The shower head was extremely low pressure, and the towels in the bathroom were wet when we arrived. There is cable but no HD or DVR services, so that was a letdown as well. The actual building was great and had a nice location...but overall I wouldn't stay here again.

We are in a 'workers' Victorian house built in 1900 located a 20-30 minute walk directly east of Downtown on a tree-lined residential street. This private bedroom has a queen bed. The bath is adjacent and is shared if the other room is occupied.
  • Comfortable and cool place to stay with nice and helpful host.:) I would greatly recommend.

  • Louis and Kevin's place was great! Louis greeted us at the door when we arrived and was very helpful and gave us a lot of good info about good places to eat in the area. The bed was super comfy and they even provided a parking space which was super useful as there isn't much street parking without a permit. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

    Jennifer2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so close to food and night life! I walked into town each day to go to the market or museums, it was quick and easy (straight shot past several shops and cafes). There is also a bus that picks up nearby. The home is so lovely you may find yourself wanting to stay there in the mornings or evenings. Both a front and back porch when seasonal as well as a living/dinning room to take advantage of! Loved my stay and my hosts!

    Heather2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Kevin and Louis was everything we hoped for! As our first time AirBnb stay ever, we where amazed by the warm welcome of Kevin. He told us about Seattle and all the sights we could see. Drinking a beer with Kevin and Louis near the fireplace, although it was warm outside, is a real testament to the warm people that they are. They also gave us a lot of tips on our yet to be started road trip down south. We really recommend staying at Kevin and Louis!

    Jurjen & Nienke 2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Louis & Kevin have a beautiful and unique home in a wonderful location. Close proximity to some of the best restaurants in town and a professionally designed garden in the backyard for relaxing made our stay an excellent experience. Louis & Kevin were a joy to talk to and it truly feels like staying with old friends. If I make it back to Seattle, I will definitely be staying here again! This is absolutely one of the best Airbnb experiences I have had with a host(s).

    Zac2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Louis and Kevin were both at home to greet me when I arrived which was great as they had a lot of local knowledge to instill! They had printed a map for me of the surrounding area and talked me through several of the local spots as well as the best places to see (what was worth the time for my short stay). My room was ready for me and communal areas were tidy and stocked with Seattle to-do magazines! Charming house and garden, I felt relaxed and welcome always. The area of Capitol hill that the house is located is slightly more residential, but just one block away there is a bus to downtown/Pikes Place as well as all the local eats.

    Heather2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Louis and Kevin provided the perfect welcome to Seattle. They made great recommendations and provided a map that helped us enjoy our short visit.

    Mary2016-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Louis are the best. This is a very restful place to stay and very close to good restaurants and coffee shops. My husband and I were visiting our son who goes to Cornish College in Seattle. We will back for sure.

A private mini home away from home in the heart of one of Seattle's Best Neighborhoods!
Enjoy your own private mini-home while exploring Seattle. Conveniently located just blocks from downtown Ballard and an easy 15 minute bus ride from downtown, this quaint yet roomy space is perfect for out of town guests and vacationers. The 250 square foot space enjoys its own deck space and hot tub. French doors fully open to the deck to create an indoor/outdoor great room with plenty of outdoor seating. It has a mini kitchen with a 2-burner stove with a mini fridge, microwave, sink and kitchen essentials. This includes cooking supplies like pans, plates, oil, salt and pepper etc. We also have a Keirig Coffee Maker with a generous supply of K-Cups. The newly remodeled bath includes a shower with on-demand water. There is a storage closet in the bath for clothes and extra linens. If you are staying longer than three days, I will provide fresh towels and linens for you upon request. The bedroom loft is cozy and features a double size bed (new memory foam mattress in 2015). The ladder up to the loft is custom-made to retract from the wall for easy access. When it is not in use, it slides flush to the wall to allow for more room in the living space. If you are very tall, the loft might seem a bit tight (fyi). There is a couch which allows for an extra person to sleep in the unit if you wish. I also have a portable crib that you are welcome to use. Just let me know. I'm pretty strict about maxing out at 3 guests. Children under 8 are not allowed in the loft area for safety-sake. This rental Includes cable tv and access to wireless Internet. The overall look and feel of the space is what I call, "Modern Nautical". Ballard is an old fishing town that has become the culinary hot spot of Seattle. The colors and lighting fixtures give homage to Ballard's history. There is plenty of free off-street parking and access to one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle is just a short walk away! There are quite a few quick service/family run (no chains) restaurants within a block from the house along with a great fruit stand and espresso shop. Grocery and drug stores are within 5-7 blocks away. The bus stop to a main arterial is a 1/2 block away. A great bakery is only 2 blocks away. This is a great location for those of you vacationing without a rental car. Pretty much anything you need is less than a 10-15 minute walk away. Even if you have a rental car, you can leave it parked and just explore all the fun stuff in Ballard! Oh, and did I mention the peek a boo views of Mt. Rainier and downtown from the deck? We look forward to meeting you! -Errin & Olivia
Ballard is a great neighborhood with tons of bars and little restaurants. Just ask me and I'm happy to share some of my faves.
  • This is the first time I used Airbnb and absolutely loved it. Errin was a fabulous host the house was perfect and location was great. You much try biscuits and bean for breakfast. It's walking distance away. I would highly recommend booking this tiny house.

    Krista2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The small house was adorable, clean and well appointed, and the Ballard location can't be beat. The amenities were exactly as described and everything we needed was on hand. Thoughtful details like shampoo, conditioner, and soap were much appreciated. Errin was a fantastic host -- very accommodating and responsive to any needs we had. We had a late flight out on our last day and she let us stay beyond check out time, which was amazing. Loved her recommendations for the nieghbourhood. Would certainly stay again should we pass through Seattle.

    Ann2014-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Errin's mini home is fantastic! Great location, great host, great hot tub with view of Mt. Rainer! One of my best air bnb experiences. Thanks Errin!

    lisa2013-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I greatly enjoyed our time in Errin's mini-home. It makes great use of the available space and is very functional and well arranged. Errin left plenty of coffee and tea for us to drink, and there are plenty of markets within walking distance for anything else we needed. The location of the min-home is perfect, and there are many shops, and restaurants within walking distance. Anything outside of Ballard is only a short drive away as well. We had no problem finding parking while staying here. The deck was a great place to relax and read a book, and the hot tub provided the perfect way to end a busy day of shopping and sight seeing. Errin was the perfect host. We met her on the first day, but otherwise was unobtrusive to our stay unless we needed something. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

    Matthew2015-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Errin's mini-home is beyond my expectation. It looks just like it shows in the picture (or much better). Everything is nice and clean. I came around 8 pm and Errin was very flexible about the check in time. We didn't have a chance to meet her though but we communicated smoothly via text. The mini-home has complete privacy if you ever concerned about it. There is a small kitchen with pot and pan where you can cook easy meal. Dishes and silverware are plenty. Complimentary k-cup coffee. I couldn't ask for more!! In the bathroom, she provided several cleaned towels, shampoo/conditioner and soap. It's just like you staying in a good hotel. Tips: Ballard downtown is about 15 min easy walk. There are many good restaurants located in the downtown.

    Jirapon2015-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Errin was a great host. We were very very happy with this tiny house at an affordable price in a great location, and recommend it highly to those on a budget.

    Mountaine2013-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Mini-Home is great! Errin greeted us on arrival and gave some great restaurant recommendations in the area an showed us around. Her place is private, VERY clean, and comfortable. The D line to downtown and Seattle Center really is just steps away, plus just a short walk to all the Ballard neighborhood places. The hot tub was really nice after a long day of site seeing on our feet. We loved it and would certainly recommend it to others and hope to stay there again on our next visit to Seattle.

    Jessica2013-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place...very cozy and perfect location. Loved it! She was SO quick to respond to any questions I had...was very accommodating. Would def stay again.

We at Emerald Stays welcome you to our modern and stylish vacation rental condo, in a brand new building located in the hip Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the location, located in Belltown, the residential neighborhood of Downtown. You will be steps away from the famous Pike Place Market, Puget Sound Waterfront, Seattle Aquarium & everything Downtown. The Space Needle & the rest of the Seattle Center are also within walking distance. You will also find some of Seattle's best restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars & lounges, just outside the building. With a Walkscore of 98 and transit score of 100, the building is a "Walker's Paradise". So you can skip renting a car. The Convention Center is just 15 mins walk away. You can also catch buses to all of Seattle from across the block and Zipcars are 3 blocks away. This condo’s location makes it ideal for both business and holiday travelers. Since the building just opened up in June 2013, everything is new, modern and stylish. As soon as you enter the building’s spacious, beautiful lobby, you will notice the well-equipped 24-hour gym to your left. At the first chance you get, take the elevator up to the rooftop deck and you will be treated to awesome views of downtown and the waterfront. The rooftop deck also has a comfortable lounging area and is fitted with BBQ grills. The apartment itself is a modern open one-bedroom with hardwood floors and excellent furnishings. The huge windows provide ample light and a spacious feel to the condo. We have furnished this place such that you will feel absolutely at home. Between the plush queen bed and futon (which unfolds to a full size bed), this apartment will comfortably accommodate 3 guests. Apart from the towels and linens already laid out, there are many more to spare in the closets. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances & is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, serve and enjoy a wonderful meal (How about taking the food upstairs and making a picnic out of it). We think Internet is a basic utility and provide dedicated high-speed Wifi. There is a 43-inch HDTV with complimentary Netflix. Please note, we do not provide Cable on the TV. The Roku box does provide you access to news and on-demand programming. There is also TV with cable in the common lounging space. Come live like Locals in one of the most premium buildings of Seattle! It is a No Smoking Building, so we will expect you to respect that. Parking : Parking in the building can be arranged ( based on availability) at $20 per day. Although if you are staying in the center of the city you don't need a car at all.
  • Super cool apartment, perfect for me wife and I to have a fun weekend in Seattle. The location is great - walking distance to lots of cool bars and restaurants, Pikes Place Market, the Space Needle and museums, etc. Getting in and out was smooth - Sid has that process down.

    Jon2014-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed this place, great location both for walking and public transport, check in/out was very smooth and the place was exactly as advertised. I would stay here again . . .

    Tyler2013-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at Sid and Neha's apartment. It was clean, modern, and in a great neighborhood. Most main Seattle attractions are within walking distance. Checking in and out was fairly easy. We had a slight learning curve with the electronic key, however Sid and Neha were available to answer any questions quickly. The roof top deck also had a beautiful view.

    Arin2014-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment building is ideally located for leisure at all times of day. In-unit laundry is a lovely luxury for this cozy apartment. Views of the city on the rooftop are unforgettable. Sid was technologically accessible before and throughout my stay. I highly recommend this home away from home.

    Joshua2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome, clean apartment in a great downtown location. I would definitely stay here again.

    John2013-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice location and we really enjoyed our stay. I recommend staying here.

    Dan2013-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Neha was super accommodating for us. The unit was clean, warm and welcoming. We plan on staying here again next time we are in Seattle.

    Lindsi2014-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just amazing! This place is in the most perfect location! Seriously! So close to everything Seattle has to offer! You are within walking distance to darn near everything! I think our favorite feature in this apartment (and we had many) was the rooftop deck! What a view! There is a great restaurant downstairs that has a fun Happy Hour and right around the corner the other direction is a yummy little biscuit place. Apartment was very clean and well stocked. Sid was great with communicating and worked with us on an early arrival. I think the only issue might be the soft mattress, but that is purely individual. I certainly wouldn't count that as a negative because someone else might find the mattress too firm or just perfect! We happened to be visiting Seattle during a time when they were getting hotter than normal temperatures and no rain for quite some time. Since this is not normal for Seattle, most apartments, homes, stores, restaurants, etc. do not have air conditioners. That is the case with this apartment; and since there are only two windows that open and they do not allow for any flow of air, it was pretty warm (hot) in the apartment. There is a fan in the living room area, but was just not enough to cool the apartment down. I must say, I bet that had we mentioned this to Sid, he would have probably brought another fan in or something. He is really good at responding to your requests. We were just there a short time, and didn't feel like bothering him at our weird hours! (the breeze up on the gorgeous roof top deck will cool you off!!! or downstairs in the main lobby area; it is chilled pretty well with AC there)(URL HIDDEN) We didn't need to use a parking space, as we did not have a car. We walked everywhere or used Uber. Honestly, if you are ever in Seattle and need a place to stay...I would say PICK THIS PLACE! Location is superb, roof top deck is gorgeous, amenities are amazing, restaurants and bars are abundant, owner is available and always willing to provide helpful information!

Stay four blocks from Pike Place, 2 blocks from waterfront, surrounded by famous Belltown restaurants and bars. Near Pike/Pine shopping district, Pioneer Square, Space Needle. Full bathroom, streaming video and Wifi. Professionally cleaned and managed. 1:00 PM Bag Drop Off!
This is a studio apartment with its own bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a full tub and shower. The kitchen has newer appliances including a full size refrigerator, stove, oven, disposal in sink and dishwasher. My units are professionally managed and immaculately clean. My streamlined check in process is faster than a hotel. There is no waiting on anyone to get your keys. This unit is free of personal clutter which makes for a thorough cleaning for every guest. The cleaning staff uses antibacterial agents every turnaround. The unit is spotless every time. This flat has a great location and comfortable but luxurious furnishings. Light rail to airport makes transportation simple and quick without waiting in freeway traffic. An amazing selection of bars and restaurants surround the unit in all directions. Parking is available on several lots within a couple blocks. It is five blocks from Pike Place Market, about a half mile. The walk is along the bay with amazing views. Feel free to cook in the kitchen which has a dishwasher and disposal, but the neighboring restaurants are top notch. A dinner reservation is a good idea if you are choosy about the cuisine, but there are so many restaurants in the area you can always find a table. There is an AC unit as well as a 32" LED TV with an HD antenna and an HD streaming video service. Towels and sheets are provided. Coffee and coffee maker are provided. There is a hairdryer and ironing/ironing board in the unit. My cleaning staff uses antibacterial agents every turn around and the lack of clutter makes this place very sanitary. It is spotless, dust and germ free. The unit has a free dedicated 12mb wireless internet service. Parking is available on the street or in a lot a few blocks away for around $20/day. The unit does not have its own parking. Rental cars are also available nearby. I don't recommend you bring a rental car from the airport because you won't need it unless you want to drive far from the city. This unit is professionally cleaned and sanitized for each guest hence the $45 cleaning fee. I apologize for this additional cost but it is in the best interest of all guests. Stay at this luxury unit with all the amenities of home for a fraction of the price of downtown hotels. You will never go back to hotel prices after staying at Airbnbs offering amazing values.
Seattle's Belltown neighborhood is the pinnacle of downtown living. The neighborhood is packed with famous bars, restaurants, clubs, pool halls, and music venues. My calendar is up to date. If your dates are available for request, the unit is vacant. Feel free to instant book or ask me questions first. Belltown is named after William Nathaniel Bell who was a member of the Denny Party which first settled Seattle. Bell not only named the neighborhood, which abuts downtown to the northwest, but also named two of the area’s major thoroughfares after two of his children (Virginia Street and Olive Way).
  • All the reviews are accurate. It's in a good location. A little noisy as stated many times. The smoke smell doesn't get into the apartment. I did not see or hear anyone in the building so I would say it's pretty quiet in that respect. Walk to Pikes on 1st street, it's much safer. Most of all don't go to the deli on the corner, they price gouge you on expired items and literally make up the price as they go.

    Christopher2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The building (but not the room) smelt funky. The room definitely looks nicer in the pictures. The neighborhood isn't the nicest. Picking up keys via lock-box was a bit sketchy.

    Taylor2015-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great little studio apartment within a few minutes walk of the Bell Harbor conference center. Room was as described and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

    Khalid2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Listing was accurate. Nice place and in a nice part of town too. Everything went smoothly and we left satisfied.

    Brian2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Condo was large in size and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Having the A/C was a wonderful touch given the heat outside. Great restaurants around and walking distance from tons of things to do. Would definitely return!

    Renee2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy to find and get into. Great location! Walkable to many places and cheap cab rides everywhere we went, never more than $10. Spacious enough for two people. Overall, great stay.

    Mary2014-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was within walking distance to so much. We had a little trouble getting the key box to work but they were very responsive and we got into the apartment in no time. Since it's on the second floor and next to a street it is a little noisy and bright at night, but the location is worth it.

    Steve2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great downtown location. Convenience store on corner. Easy access to many restaurants on 1st/2nd avenue. Bed extremely comfortable. Apartment clean and as depicted in photo.

This unique 1900s style home is within walking distance to Chinatown, Historic Pioneer Square, Downtown Seattle & the famous Pike Place Market. It is near the light rail and Amtrak (15-20 walk) and many local cafes and shops. Street parking is free and available!
Hardwood floors, a "real" bed, high ceilings with picture railing and original wood framed windows and doors. There is a desk, plenty of light from two windows and a 3-way standing lamp. It's quiet, and private. Room is right next to bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom is normal size, comfortable for 1 or 2 people.
I love the diversity of my neighborhood, the proximity to downtown Seattle, Chinatown, Pioneer Square and the delicious Asian cuisine which I hope you will try. I feel safe during my daily walks, know most of my neighbors and have enjoyed their friendship over many years. Parking is not a problem and I can always find a spot to park right in front of the house. Really!! My diverse neighborhood allows many different ethnic groups and religious affiliations to flourish side by side: St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Peter's Japanese Episcopal Church, Vietnamese Buddist Temple, African American Baptist Churches and many more, all co-exist in this wonderful urban setting and are only a few blocks away.
  • Very good experience in Seattle. The room was very clean and cute. Everything was ready when I arrived. And Carol was a very nice host and provided all tourism info if you asked. Breakfast was very nice as well. The restroom was always clean and cozy

    Xue2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carol's home is very comfortable and she was gracious and so helpful. I appreciated the very comfortable bed and bedroom and was immensely impressed with Carol's attention to security. I had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you so much Carol.

    Patty2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carol is awesome! Very kind, did plenty of research based on what I was visiting for (restaurants and night life!) and was extremely accommodating with my arrival time being pushed back due to traffic. The place was great, comfortable and quiet. Carol was very engaging but not at all intrusive, which was a perfect balance for me. The house is a bit older, so if you are a very light sleeper some of the sounds may keep you up, but I had no problem personally (I am not the lightest sleeper, but I'm also not dead to the world when sleeping!). I just noticed it when I would get in and the house was quiet - but it didn't prohibit me from falling asleep at all. The location was great, a relatively easy walk to the downtown/Pike's Market area (the primary reason for my trip). I would definitely recommend this place, and will likely look to book with Carol again next time I'm in Seattle for work or for personal travel. Thank you!!

    Joseph2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was very welcoming and her home is quiet and comfortable. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is well set up and the shower is very nice. I enjoyed having coffee and chatting a bit in the morning. King Street Station is a 15-20 minute walk down the hill (on Jackson), past lots of little Vietnamese restaurants and delis. I would recommend staying with Carol. It was easy, comfortable, and accommodating.

    Dustin2014-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Carol kept in touch with me and was ready for me when I arrived. The room and bed is Goldilocks-worthy; juuust right. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt welcome.

    Mary2015-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a pleasant stay at Carol's B&B. She paid a lot of attenetion on what I needed and helped me a lot during my stay in Seattle. The house was clean and lovely. I will choose to stay at Carol's B&B again if I come to visit Seattle again.

  • Carol's place was excellent & well located. Everything was organized, clean and welcoming. I only had a day there - in Seattle for work briefly - but expect to go back to stay again. Carol's garden was a great place to sit in the morning with coffee, and it's nice to have so many EXCELLENT Vietnamese restaurants within a block of two. Thanks!

    Robert2014-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Carol was such a wonderful host! Her home is located in such a convienient location, close to the highways and to the city. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was updated and clean. Carol's backyard is a peaceful little oasis to sit and read a book or drink some tea. I was also able to find street parking in front of her house without any issues. Carol was warm and welcoming, and made me feel so comfortable while staying with her. She is easy to talk to, and it truly felt like I was staying with a close friend rather than a host. She also has the most adorable cat, Mimi. I was out early for most of my stay, and Carol so thoughtfully provided some easy grab and go breakfast items such as yogurt, muffins, and fruit. I would highly recommend staying with Carol if you are visiting Seattle!

My home is conveniently located about five miles away from popular downtown tourist attractions, even closer to hip districts like Capitol Hill, Ballard and Fremont. Café’s nearby include Zoka Coffee Roaster, Mighty O Donuts, and Hiroki Specialty Deserts.
  • This was my first time using airbnb and I really enjoyed it. Roland was a wonderful host. His home was extremely inviting. I was impressed by how organized everything was. I would highly recommend that if you are traveling in the Seattle area this is the place to stay.

  • Plenty of advice

    Jonathan2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second stay with Roland. Both times went very smoothly. He was welcoming and went above and beyond the needs of a host to make us feel welcome. The location is fabulous and the house is a gem of a classic craftsman in very good condition. I love that though visitors are renting a room, the whole house is set up for guests. I feel completely comfortable using the common areas including both bathrooms, the kitchen and the common work and eating room off the kitchen. Overall, highly recommended!

    Shane2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • When I first got to the listing, the room was ready even a bit before check-in that was fantastic. Roland let me in and James gave me a tour of the place. This was my first Airbnb and the accommodations and amenities where even more than I was expecting. The room was clean and looks even better than the photos, heck they even left some fancy chocolate in there. If you're here just to get to know the city or visiting this place is in a great location. Walking distance to bus stop (and even an UberHop drop-off. The hosts were great guys and really made you feel at ease, even if you're travelling on your own. If all Airbnb's are this good I know I won't be going to a hotel anytime soon.

    David2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time, Roland and his assistant are very kind. Everything was clean and well managed.

    Grace2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! Roland was fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood was lovely and had some great places to walk to. Close to downtown Seattle.

    Alexandra2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home, very relaxing and great facilities. We were only there for a very short overnighter so didn't manage to see Roland but he was very helpful in all communications. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

    Andrew2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • I loved to stay at Roland yellow Suite. The bed is huge (for European standards :)), extremely comfortable and with tones of pillows... And there was some chocolate and a bottle of water just waiting for me as a nice welcoming present. The house is very nice, welcoming, well designed and decorated, with all types of geek things (that i loved). There is no problem to park the car in the street in front of the house. The area is residential and very quiet. But above all that, I had an amazing conversation with Roland. And he gave me tips too for visiting Seattle and traveling to Canada per emails with screenshot of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)maps and else. It was very kind of him. I would recommend to anyone who wants to come to Seattle to sleep there and personally, it was my first experience to rent a room in an apartment (share apartment) and it was a great one! Thanks a lot Roland for all :)

  • The space was quiet and cozy. Jamie was very welcoming. It was a great place to unwind after busy days exploring the city.

    Danaan 2014-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie was great! The chocolate and wine were a plus. The place was spotless. Best pillows ever. I ended up blowing a fuse by using my hairdryer and the room heater at the same time (same thing happens in my place), and they were able to reset the breaker for me right away. She even texted me while I was out later to let me know the dome light was on in my car!! Dead battery crisis averted. I fully expected to hear people walking around above me, which I didn't. Would definitely stay again!

  • Host was very helpful, apartment was nice and clean and very user friendly/comfortable. Neighborhood is awesome and close to Ballard businesses. Great experience overall, would definitely recommend it

    Lily2015-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Jamie's. The room was very clean and inviting. The location is walking distance to downtown Ballard and Jaime was extremely helpful with providing us with dinning recommendations. The yogurt, coffee, wine, chocolate, Britta water pitcher and cable TV shows Jamie cares about the comfort of her guests. We would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Jamie!

    Marco2015-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie did a great job of making our stay comfortable. She not only had all the amenities necessary she gave us suggestions of local restaurants. Here place was very comfortable and cozy. The surrounding area was also very nice and safe. I would recommend this to other traveling to Seattle.

    Stephanie2015-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third visit to Jamie's place! The apartment is cozy and SUPER clean, and we appreciated the wine and breakfast goodies Jamie supplies. Cute neighborhood and very convenient for us while visiting our kids. We appreciated Jamie's flexibility in our check-in and check-out. It's a great place to stay!

    Beth2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Jamie's Ballard apartment. Charming and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed with top quality linens. Super clean. Nice extras like bottle of wine, chocolate and breakfast items were much appreciated. Good quality towels and bath toiletries. Neighborhood was lovely, quiet, felt very safe and was very walkable. We parked our rental car on arrival and never needed to use it for the next 48 hours! Walked and took public transit to restaurants, coffee shops and attractions. Communications with Jamie were excellent. We highly recommend Jamie's place and hope to return for a future stay.

    Ballard Craftsman Charmer
    281 reviews
This lovely, modern room and ensuite bath is detached from the main house, so you can enjoy privacy and quiet. We are a 5 min drive from Ballard and a 15 min drive from downtown. Welcome to our quiet, safe neighborhood!
For those who would like more privacy than that offered by a room in someone's home, this detached bedroom is a perfect choice! The bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam topper. Power strips on both sides of the bed allow for cell phone charging. Wireless internet and cable tv are provided. There is a small, walk-in closet so that you can unpack and feel at home. The full bath has shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap, as well as plush towels. The windows bring in plenty of light and fresh air in the summer and there is also an air conditioner, and the floors have radiant-floor heating for the winter months. I have created a small area to enjoy hot beverages and quick meals. There is a mini-fridge, a hot water kettle, and a French press for your convenience. I provide orange juice, a variety of teas, freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, instant oat packets, granola bars and fruit. I'll also bake scones or muffins on one morning of your stay. With dishes and two chairs, you'll be able to have a quick breakfast before you head out for the day. There is a hair dryer and umbrella to use as well as beach towels. If you need or forgot something, let me know, and I’ll do my best to accomodate you. The guest suite is attached to our garage. The garage will not be in use between the hours of 9pm and 9am. However, during the day, family members will occasionally open the garage door, which can be heard from the guest room. Please note that there is not a full kitchen or laundry facilities in your guest suite. Our guest suite is not kid-friendly. Babies and young children are not a good fit for this listing. Ages 12 and older are welcome, as long as your child is part of the 2 person max. Thanks!
Ballard is known as one of the hippest neighborhoods in Seattle. Come to Ballard for amazing restaurants, micro-breweries, and coffee shops; come to shop at the boutiques on Ballard Ave; come to check out the salmon run and the boats coming and going at the Locks; come for the year-round Sunday Farmers’ Market; come for the Golden Gardens beach with views of the Olympics; or come just to walk one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Seattle. Let me proudly advertise an area just two blocks away from our home. Seattle Met named it “one of the city’s best food micro-hoods.” You won’t have to go far to enjoy these amazing restaurants: Honore Bakery, with French macarons that rival those in Paris; the Fat Hen, a light and cheery cafe that serves great breakfasts and coffee; Delancey’s, where locals line up for amazing wood-fire pizza; Essex, serving mixed drinks and bar food especially for foodies; and Brunswick & Hunt, providing farm-to-table fare. I have a notebook full of suggestions of where to eat as well as where to play while you are here. If you'd like, I can email you my info so you can plan ahead.
  • Our host, Debbie, did an excellent job of making us feel welcome, from answering all my questions quickly, to preparing warm, tasty scones the morning after our arrival! We felt like family the moment we met her! The room was clean and comfortable and we loved the area (Ballard) or this B & B. Lots of fun, local restaurants, pubs, and coffee houses within a short jaunt!

    Callie2015-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying at Debbie's Airbnb in Ballard. The unit was perfect for our needs. It's new, modern, very clean and cute. Not to mention, she provided the makings for fresh french press coffee, which went well with the incredible baked items that she left on our front doorstep two of the mornings we were there. Debbie was really great, friendly, helpful. She provided suggestions for places to eat and things to see. Ballard is a great Seattle neighborhood and her place was the perfect location to visit our relatives in Ballard and also take in other nearby neighborhoods, such as Fremont as well as downtown Seattle. We just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our experience. We'll stay there again if it's available the next time we're in town.

    Susan2014-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie is an impeccable host: warm and welcoming but in no way obtrusive. Her recommendations for places to eat and things to do were excellent. The space is completely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with amenities, including coffee, a large assortment of teas, cream and sugar, juice, and scrumptious home-made scones on our first morning. The info notebook Debbie has assembled is very thorough, and we also enjoyed the large collection of Seattle magazines. Ballard is a charming neighborhood and full of great restaurants, coffeehouses, shopping, and lovely cottages. Go to Golden Gardens if you have time; sunset is perfect. Or catch the bus into downtown Seattle. We chose Debbie's place because our daughter lives in Ballard, but I'd recommend it to anyone -- it's a great home base, and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

    Margo2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie is an amazing host! I stayed for one night with my partner and we felt very welcomed by her kind hospitality. The room is beautiful, clean, and extremely cozy - I would compare it to a very nice hotel stay. Debbie is very thoughtful and prepared a binder full of nice restaurant and sight-seeing suggestions and also baked us delicious scones for breakfast! Her home is conveniently located in Ballard, Seattle and is close to downtown. I will definitely recommend anyone to stay here!

    Helen2015-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • I am not sure if my trip was for business or a vacation ! Debbie's detached room in Ballard is more like your own private bungalow !! It was spotless, well appointed and really comfortable. The bed was fantastic, the towels were luxurious and the French press let me make my coffee just the way I like it. The neighborhood was just as advertised...quiet, safe and plenty of parking. Debbie's suggestions for local restaurants were outstanding. Can't wait to visit again.

    Erick2015-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using air bnb and what a wonderful first time experience! Debbie was awesome and very accommodating - even providing treats like scones, tea and oranges for us to enjoy! It was our first time in Seattle and made the trip so special. The bed was so comfortable, room was clean and even cable tv.

    Madeline2015-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's location in Ballard was fantastic! Clean, high-quality, and cozy. The radiant heating floors are a nice touch in the cold months. A great spot that I'd try to stay at again if I'm back in Seattle.

    Jordan2014-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Although the room is a bit smaller than I expected, it exceeded our expectation in every other way. This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was a great beginning. Debbie was a great host explaining alternate ways to get downtown, places to go for dining, and has suggestions for entertainment. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is totally private so you can come and go whenever you want, not bothering anyone, nor will their family get in your way. Although a bit away from downtown, it only took us 15-20 min to drive there. It is located in a very walkable neighborhood with places to dine locally. We enjoyed our stay.

    Beautiful Guest Suite for 2

For travelers who are passing through town short-term and like a rustic cabin vibe in a great city location. Features: Futon pull out double bed, twin single loft bed, toliet & kitchette, but note: No bathing facilities available on site. Welcome!
This space has a lot of funky charm and is in a great part of the city. The room is cozy and a bit quirky with a rustic/self built vibe as we inherited the space (for example, the walls are simple paneling) but if you like its charm like we do, you will always have clean sheets, fresh duvets and coffee. You can have your coffee on the roof to see the tips of the skyscrapers while listening to the collection of birds that seem to like our yard! We hope you will love this place so please do not book just because it "will do for the price." Not everyone likes ladders, futons, old wood wall paneling or lack of a shower, but some people love cozy and fun and will truly resonate with our offering as they travel like we do! We love people to be happy and feel safe. There is a toliet is in the room with a curtain and half wall dividing it from the rest of the space, but no solid door. There is a single foam bed in the loft for those that are comfortable on a loft ladder. The futon in the main space is a pull out that could fit two people and is comfy. I set it up with clean sheets and bedding always. It will take up most of the room, so if you are staying more then a night, you may want to push it back to have a sitting space as there is a small table and two seats for eating space and a kitchenette, but no drawers for clothes..though we have lots of hooks and a shelf- if you have large wheel suitcases it will be possibly too tight...I offer all this to be upfront so you will enjoy your stay if you select the Zen Loft :) The wifi password for the zen loft is hulahoop :)
Ravenna is a wonderful neighborhood with an extemely good walking score. You are only a few blocks from so much! Less than 10 minutes walk and you are walking around Greenlake, or at Ravenna Alehouse, Zeeks Pizza, Ravenna Park, Third Place books, you name it! There is so much in our area to enjoy! For drivers, you are just 10 blocks from 1-5 and 5 minutes drive to the University District and 10 minutes to areas like Phinney, Fremont and the Woodland Park Zoo. In the city, but without the traffic, noise or high rises.
  • We had a wonderful one night stay in the zen loft. Lights lit up a path to the loft behind Lara's home. Lara had directions inside the loft that described any question we had from, what's the wifi password to how to work the pullout bed! Very quiet neighborhood in a great location near greenlake. We had such a great trip! Thank you Lara for the experience!!

    Kelsey2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I loved staying in the loft. It's small but amazing cozy and comfortable. Walking to the lake was amazing and access to downtown Seattle is a breeze. Thanks Lara for hosting us!

    Mitchell2015-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful and cozy night we had at Lara ' s loft! We were very comfortable and despite the size, the space feels roomy and airy and fresh! A tea kettle came in handy for a nice warm night cap and had it not been raining, we would have had a morning cup on the roof, as there is a ladder that leads to a bench to watch sunsets or morning crows... a lovely little touch. That's what you could expect, lovely little touches all throughout the space which makes you feel like you are home. We will definitely try and stay here again if we ever rendezvous in Seattle again. Thank you!!!! Michelle and Jesse

  • Lara, the host, was welcoming, and accommodating to our arrival and departure times. The place was clean and cozy, just what we needed for our short vacation to Seattle. Lara made sure everything was okay and was easy to communicate with, I wish traveling was always like this!

    Brittany 2015-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very welcoming--there are hundreds of tiny porch lights on to show the way. The listing is accurate. Note this is a small cabin but sufficient for the weekend. The immediate neighborhood is fairly quiet but Roosevelt is a close walk.

    Deb2014-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lara was an excellent hostess. Her communication was helpful and professional, and I felt quite welcomed into the space.

    Julie2014-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lara's loft was just what we anticipated. Tight quarters sure for three, but the loft and yard were clean, comfortable and functional. We opened the windows and enjoyed the cool evening breeze in this quiet neighborhood. She recommended a "screen on the green" outting, that turned out to be the perfect way to spend the evening. Cafes, shops and groceries are a 10 minutes away on foot. Perfect spot for a night or two.

Fun & quirky studio in an unbeatable location-old world charm meets cozy retreat. Perfect for a getaway or a business trip. Stocked beyond the essentials so you never have to scramble for that important event. Close to everything & parking available for an additional $10/night.
My bright studio is full of quirky old world charm and lots of light. This is a corner unit on the back side of the building facing the back yard and shielded from the street noise. I have a fully stocked kitchen if you feel like making a meal. Bathroom has your basics such as body wash, shampoo & conditioner as well as a few extras like a flat iron, hair dryer, and some styling products. Forgot something? Toothbrush? Toothpaste? Dental floss? Q-tips? Razor? Don't worry I got you covered! Please note that this is an older building with hardwood floors in the middle of the most lively neighborhood in town. If you need absolute silence to enjoy your stay this is not a good fit. There is always some level of noise depending on what time of the year or day of the week you come. Whether it's from the neighbors grilling out back (feel free to make friends!), a block party or just the regular weekend crowd enjoying the nightlife. If you are a light sleeper you may want to pack some earplugs. Promoting the local community and artisans that make this city great is really important to me - help me support our local artists & businesses. All of the art you see on the walls is by a local artist and friend. I also partner with local craftsmen to promote their work - need gift giving ideas anyone? Tea selection is from our local loose leaf organic tea shop just down the street - please visit their store and bring some home with you!
I'm a leasing agent in Seattle and Cap Hill is my favorite neighborhood! It's diverse and eclectic - we have all kinds of folks from all walks of life living here. From artsy creative types to high tech. This is a lively and thriving neighborhood not for the faint of heart. There is always something to do, a show to see, a new restaurant to try, or a festival to attend. This is also Seattle's 'gayborhood' - if being surrounded by rainbow hair, glitter & feather boas doesn't sound like your cup of tea this may not be the place for you. We welcome everyone here but we expect those who come visit our neighborhood to respect our community. The apartment is near everything - you can walk to the grocery store, coffee shops, boutiques, yoga studio, tons of restaurants and anything else you might be interested. Looking for something specific? Just ask - I'd be happy to point you in the right direction!
  • The apartment was in a decent location and it was easy to walk to restaurants and bars and just as easy to drive to others. All would have been fine had t not been for the loudness of the building coming from all directions. The walls really are paper thin and the apartment is on the first floor so people were out in the courtyard it faces and it felt like they were in the apartment with us. Also, it meant keeping the shades down most of the time so it was quite dark in the apartment.

  • Elena & AJ's place is a great, homely place to stay in a fantastic location in Seattle. It is fully equipped with all amenities you can need. The apartment is a short walk to shops, cafes and public transport which made getting around very easy despite not having a car. Great vibes all around!

  • There's nothing we didn't love about this spot! It was cozy, comfortable, well-stocked for almost every need, conveniently located, and contact with the host was easy and prompt.

  • John and Paul were excellent hosts and I had a wonderful time in their home. The space is very private with a comfortable bed and roomy living area with big couches and breakfast area. Their hospitality was unmatched -- delicious breakfast items were laid out every day, towels changed, tons of information on Seattle both in guidebooks and personal recommendations. I was able to easily park my car in the street without worrying about time limits or fees, and there are several nearby bus lines to downtown. Although I didn't have time to use it, the hot tub also looked quite nice. I can definitely recommend their place to anyone looking for a great time in Seattle.

  • John and Paul are great hosts and exceeded our expectations with what they provided in the apartment to make our stay in Seattle memorable. Their place is in a nice neighbourhood and is easily walkable to downtown. Buses just a block away if needed for which John provided an orca card to use - very convenient. • John and Paul made us feel very welcome! We had a very nice time staying in their sweet apartment upstairs. Everything was clean as a whistle! There was a whole breakfast in the fridge! Nice coffee, etc.The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We were very happy to be near our son during his time getting married! Took us 15 minutes to get to his home on Bainbridge Island! We would definitely want to stay here again when we visit the Seattle area!

This large comfortable bedroom has a queen bed, bay windows , hardwood floors, and is located on a tree lined street. This 110 year old building is in a charming neighborhood. The apartment has the updated modern features. It is convenient to restaurants, concerts, site seeing, and other activities. There is a short walk to downtown. Parking on the street can be arranged if needed. There are also parking lots in the neighborhood. This is an ideal area for walking and public transportation.
The apartment has large rooms and bay windows. Hard wood floors and gorgeous crown molding complete the charm of each room. There is one flight of stairs to access the apartment. The bathroom is modern, next to the bedroom, and shared with the host. Photos are available.
This is a quiet beautiful tree lined neighborhood. Yet it is just minutes walking from downtown. There are restaurants and coffee shops in all directions. The street has many trees adding color and shade. This is a quiet oasis in a busy city. Parking is very limited and expensive in this city area. A car really is not needed for city activities. This location is ideal for walking and using public transportation.
  • Susan was very welcoming and generous. She worked to coordinate with us on getting into the building and offered to help carry luggage. My boyfriend and I were so busy on our trip that we didn't get to socialize with Susan much, but she was very accommodating and a very open, great person, especially considering she just moved into this particular apartment. The room was quiet and peaceful and the location was perfect. Susan had towels ready for us, bathroom amenities to use, and a nice bed made!

  • Susan has a beautiful apartment put together with a lot of love! I felt comfortable right away. The bed is great too. Susan answered all our questions and was very kind to us. We even could use the washing machine. The location was great, very central. Thank you so much Susan!

Susan gave us many tips about where to go and how to manage the hills of Seattle that we wouldn't have known otherwise. We really felt like we were living there instead of just a tourist. What a great vacation!

This is a fully-furnished studio designed for one person, but the vast majority of couples who have stayed with us find the intimate space cozy. Many of our guests stay 1 week to 4 months. Some are here for a year. The unit is compact and the bathroom is separated from the rest of the studio by a curtain. This maybe an issue for some private couples, please look at photos. Your completely private studio space includes the following: Closet organizer, hanging space 6 feet, drawers, Shelves, Desk, Lamp Full Sized Bed. Sleeps 2. Lots of storage under bed. Refrigerator, Microwave, dishes, cups, silverware, cutting board, knife Sink, Toilet and full Shower, towels
Roy Street Commons is centrally located between North Capitol Hill, and downtown Seattle, adjacent to Queen Anne. My property is five blocks North of the new light rail system which opened in March of last year (it’s so fast). We're also only two blocks North of Broadway, a popular street in the neighborhood with restaurants, bars and nightlife fun (check out the Unicorn on YouTube, it's a fun bar here on Capitol Hill).
  • We were very happy with our stay here.... location was great for touring the city. Very convenient check in and check out and the room was great to come back to at night and crash.

  • The studio was exactly what I was looking for--clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom, in a walkable neighborhood. Ideal for solo travelers. Recommended as an efficient and affordable place to stay in Seattle.

  • I have stayed in this exact room twice now. It's perfect for a quick stay. It's private, quiet and it was really nice that there was coffee and muffins made the next morning. Thank you!

  • We loved staying in Eric's studio! The location was perfect for exploring the Capitol Hill area of Seattle-- we were a quick walk away from restaurants, bars, and a big amazing park. The bathroom situation was a bit strange-- the toilet and shower are only separated from the rest of the room by a curtain. Definitely not exactly romantic but it worked for us for one night! Also, don't make the mistake of trying to drop your bags off *in* the room between 11am and 2pm or you might walk in on another sleeping airbnb-er like we did. Thankfully one of the hosts showed up around noon and was able to take our bags-- I would recommend letting the host know exactly when you'll be dropping off your bags. All in all, we had a great trip and would definitely stay in this studio again!

  • My boyfriend and I were just visiting for a night but we really enjoyed the space. Within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed the roof top deck and common areas. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a walkable and cozy space in the city.

Historic renovated studio apartment that has 98 walk score and is only a 10 minute walk to Pike Place Market. It's a corner unit apartment with 13-foot ceiling and has all the essentials. Top Pot Donuts (best Seattle donuts) is right next door!
This studio condo is in downtown Seattle right in the center of everything! You'll be within walking distance of Pike Place Market, Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, EMP Museum, and Pacific Science Center.
Belltown is a great neighborhood and is at the heart of everything. Pike Place market, Space Needle, EMP Museum, and Chihuly Garden and Glass are all within walking distance.
  • Location was perfect! The studio was clean and had the bare necessities. I would definitely come back next time. I do wish that the host provided real cutlery and dishes, cooking was never an option because there was only paper products provided.

    Russell2015-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kumail's studio was great! There were 4 of us so it was a bit tight, but the studio accommodated us adequately for our short stay. The bed, futon and air mattress all worked as comfortable beds, the studio was stocked with fresh sheets, kitchen utensils and bathroom supplies. PERFECT location, walking distance to great areas, and we had an amazing dinner at Black Bottle which was not too far from the studio. Overall a great place to stay!

  • Awesome spot especially Top Pot Doughnut right next door. Comfortable bed.

    Ethan2016-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Was happy to find this place so close to the art museum pretty last minute. It is a minimalist place that doesn't exude much comfort but it was tidy and so central. Spendy for such a no frills place with no a/c (it was a hot day!). But I think that's just Seattle for you. Easy to get into. No problems besides the loud traffic through the open 3rd story window. Would recommend if you need to be in a central location

    Loly2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was less than a 15 minute walk from all the major attractions and restaurants, which made it so convenient to sightsee. The condo was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed for a fun stay. Kumail was helpful and prompt in communicating with us. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

It's a Teeny Tiny Guesthouse! Enter the words "tiny guesthouse tour" in your search engine or follow the instructions in the 2nd photo to see the video. Trust me, it's totally worth it! Also, click on the photo for more photos. :) The price is the price. No hidden extra "cleaning" charges! Those are for the hosts who want to scam you. But that's not really my thing. Trust me, have I ever lied to you?
Don't worry, the Tiny Guesthouse has heat. Very cozy this time of year. I built a teeny tiny guesthouse in my backyard, between the Garage Majal and the old millworkers house in the middle of Seattle's exciting Fremont neighborhood! It's 68 sq' and can sleep 3 (if two of the three are a couple) using the sleeping loft that lets out onto the rooftop view lawn or, my not yet patented, "Garage Door Murphy Bed". There's a teeny tiny full bath (toilet, sink, shower) and a secret bathtub beneath the floor. It is private from the other living areas on the property although, being right in town, stepping outside may put you in contact with (gasp!) actual other people. There are times when people hang out to chat, BBQ, sing and laugh downstairs, as it should be. Remeber, this is in the city. It's not a quiet retreat for the noise sensitive. That said, I've gotten very few complaints about noise. There is no TV but good fast wifi for your laptop and a cool old radio with iPod plug in! (just set the selector dial to "aux" and plug the little wire into your headphone jack) I built it primarily for guests and my roomates guests but there are lots of times when it just sits empty so I put it up here on airbnb! If you'd like to stay in a truly unique little place 1 block from the Centre of the Universe then this might be for you! I strongly encourage you to watch the video to get a really good sense of just how tiny the space is and if it would function well for you. I know, now it's a pain in the ass to type in the URL and I'm hopping mad at airbnb for taking down the hyperlink but there it is. The fact is, they're a good service but also, marketing aside, just another giant multinational corporation trying to snuggle up and look like your best friend while protecting themselves from imagined threats on all sides. You and I have to work with and around them as best we can to make sure that each of us ends up having a good experience. So far, so good. I've filled out their neighborhood guide up there with lots of my recommendations for places to eat, drink, shop, or just play. Take a little time and see what's up here in Fremont. I've also provided detailed directions that become viewable to you when you book (as well as my phone number). Since I prefer if guests come in the back way to avoid disturbing the tenants in my front house it would be great if, just this once, you could put your GPS away, go old school, and print up the directions. I promise it's actually easier to find me this way! I now have 4 loaner bicycles! Bring your own helmet, I've got a lock. (It's free to use, but $100-175 bucks if you lose one or get it stolen. That's the deal to use them. See "house rules" below.) They're old and cool and reliable with at least 3 speeds each! My personal favourite is Blackie, the Austrian built Sears bike from the 1960s! Just in! Please read the "House Rules" section. There's some stuff there that will help us all get along like hippies in a freshly landscaped city park!
Fremont is about a 10 minute bus ride from downtown. Seattle lives in its neighborhoods and this is one of it's best ones. From my place you can walk 2 blocks into the center of things where you can find enough to entertain you for days on end. Want to go up to Ballard, over to Gasworks Park, or downtown? Grab a bike and be anywhere in 10-15 minutes!
  • Although teeny-tiny, Hal's guesthouse was a fantastic place to stay in Seattle. The location is great and the house is a lot of fun. Hal was a gracious host, and despite of the fact that we did not get a chance to meet in person (unfortunately), communicating with him was very easy, and getting in and out was a breeze. He even left us delicious pain au chocolat and clementines for breakfast! The guesthouse is completely independent from the main house, which is great for guests looking for privacy. The heat, wifi and hot water worked perfectly, and the house was loaded with towels, blankets and all-things travelers might need (and often forget). I strongly recommend it and will most certainly reach out next time I'm in Seattle.

    Carolina2013-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Hal is an amazing host. He was extremely accommodating to our late check in time, meeting us in person to give us a quick run through of the Tiny House and Fremont neighborhood. My girlfriend and I had an perfect vacation in Seattle. This place is in a great central location; walking distance to many amenities and a short cab ($9-12) to every neighborhood (downtown, ballard, and capitol hill). It is definitely a Tiny House, watch his informative video and prepare yourself for a memorable experience. I would recommend this place to any couple especially those who love camping and adventure. Hal has a plethora of bikes to borrow to help with your exploration. He also stocked the mini kitchen with many delicious local snacks. We loved our trip, We loved the tiny house, and we love Seattle. Thank you Hal!

    Michael2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hal was a *fantastic* host, and his little loft that he has built is the most charming, whimsical, and inspiring places I have EVER stayed. I loved every detail of it. It was both quaint and exciting - kind of like camping but also like living in a treehouse. I was delighted to discover our shared love of Tiki and Mid-Century style and decor, and Hal was kind enough to show me all the ways he put thought into his property. He also gave me ideas of places to visit while I was in town. I loved every minute of staying in his space, and will definitely be back one day to stay there again. Thank you, Hal!!!

    Elizabeth2013-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Itty Bitty Guesty House was as much a part of our Seattle experience as Pike's Place, the Needle and the Troll under the Bridge!!! Hal was an incredible host and the location was a lovely walkable distance from the adorable Fremont center. Will definitely plan on staying on our next trip to Seattle but will plan a longer stay at the IBGH. For adults: it is worth staying not only for location and Hal's graciousness, but for the inspiring use of 64 sq feet of efficient simplistic architecture. Truly inspiring. For kids: Just plain fun! Have them watch the video. My kids thought they were meeting a star when they met Hal! They loved the garage door bed, the typewriter, and even though they were exhausted, HAD TO take a bath in the floor tub. The IBGH is adorable, sweet, comfortable and, yes, tiny. Not for claustaphobes. Perfect for a single, couple, couple with one child, single with 2 kids, or 3 adults.

    debora2013-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Hal's tiny guesthouse is incredible. We felt like we had more space than expected! The location is perfect for touring Fremont and it's easy to catch a bus to downtown as well. Hal's recommendations for restaurants, coffee shops, and activities were spot on. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

    Daniel2014-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Hal was very easy to communicate with, gave us a helpful overview of the neighborhood, and left us snacks! The Teeny Tiny Guesthouse had everything we needed and is a great use of a small space. I really appreciated the very warm shower with great water pressure. It is also in a great location in Fremont -- we had no problem catching the bus downtown from there, walking around Fremont, or walking over to Wallingford.

    Rachel2014-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay. So cozy, and very well-thought out. Every detail was tended to in such clever ways. It's what I'd imagine traveling on a boat might be like, no wasted space, but cozy and comfortable. Even though there are detailed directions, it will be easier to find if you meet Hal and he shows you to the door.

    Seth2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hal was a great host. He had some fruit, croissants, and yogurt for us, and even gave us some cider. Unfortunately, we never got around to having any of it, but the thought was very much appreciated! He gave us some great recommendations about the Fremont area and beyond. The guesthouse was great! I slept in the loft and was surprised how comfortable it was. My friend assured me that the garage door murphy bed was also comfortable. Another surprise was the great water pressure in the shower. It also stayed nice and warm in there, which was good, since we visited in November. The neighborhood had some great restaurants, bars, and shops, and Hal did a great job of telling us which to visit and which to avoid. He also recommended visiting the Fremont Sunday Market, which you should do, too! Thanks, Hal!

    302 reviews
Spacious and vibrant studio apartment in a sweet 1902 Craftsman house, with loads of amenities. Read the reviews, look at the photos, and book it. Sleeps 4, with lots of room to spare. Really. It's over 1000 sq ft! You can spread out and still have room to dance! This is flat out one of the coolest Airbnb's in the Emerald City!
"Dreampop Studio" is a big, bright open space with gorgeous fir floors and a cool pop art, retro vibe. Includes a big kitchen with a sunlit bistro area, a full bath w/ a cozy claw foot tub and shower, a dining area, living room, and lots of sleep options for up to 4 guests with a comfy queen bed, two airbeds, and two sofas. We are just one block from dozens of quaint, wonderful, and award-winning restaurants, bars, coffee & tea shops, and grocery stores... everything you want is around the corner, and then you get to come home to this quiet, amazing studio apartment, tucked into the lower level of our charming 1902 Craftsman bungalow. All the cool kids hop a 2 minute Lyft or Uber ride (or flat 15 min walk) to the Pike/Pine corridor where you'll find approximately 3 million restaurants, shops, galleries, craft beer, and weirdos (and I mean that in a good way). Volunteer Park, with The Conservatory, a historic brick Water Tower (with observation deck, and dahlia garden is just a 10-minute walk north. Note: The Asian Art Museum is closed for expansion. The house itself is on a serene, tree-lined street full of classic Craftsman homes... this is truly the perfect walking, shopping, and dining neighborhood!
  • Scooter was an AMAZING host and the accommodations were perfect! While it has a fairly open floor plan, there was plenty of space for me and the two friends who stayed there, and we loved having a cozy place to relax between outings around the city. The icing on the cake was our host Scooter, who helped us feel comfortable, told us great places to check out in the neighborhood and truly made our stay memorable. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone I know visiting Seattle.

    christie2014-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had an outstanding stay at dreampop studio. This studio is very spacious and is a great location close to public transit. We really enjoyed all the little details that made this place unique like the coffee mugs from local places around the neighborhood and browsing the local magazines. The neighborhood itself is very walkable and easy to navigate. Scooter greeted us on arrival and checked in frequently during our trip while still giving us privacy. Could not have asked for a better host or place to rest after exploring the city! We would def. stay again when visiting Seattle!

    Jeanna2014-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Scooter was beyons compare! He checked on me every day as I was traveling alone. He helped me get an ORCA card so that I could gey around town by bus and made good recommendations of places to visit while here. He was va very good host.

  • This was the second stage of our stay at this location. (We spent a night there, then off to Portland for a couple of days and then back for two more nights.) Scooter was really helpful, friendly, and accommodating; we could not have asked for a better host!

    Daniel2014-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed in several AirBnB apartments, and this one is easily our favorite. The apartment is right off of 15th street with access to lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Scooter's house was easy to find, and the apartment was very clean, well-located, and spacious. Easily the friendliest host we've encountered, Scooter was very helpful and excited to host us, and even took us on a tour of the neighborhood and pointed out some of his favorite spots. Thank you Scooter, for being a fantastic host! Also - we got engaged in the apartment (sorry for the surprise - we had to tell our families first!) so it will always be special to us, and we will definitely be back when we find ourselves back in Seattle.

    Lindley2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Scooter and the Dreampop studio were wonderful!! The studio is exactly as described and was perfect for our stay in Seattle. It was on a beautiful neighborhood street just blocks away from amazing restaurants and bars in Capitol Hill. We had 3 people staying and it was a great size for us. It was so nice to have a full kitchen to cook up some breakfast before going out on the town. Scooter and his dog, Bart, greeted us even though we arrived late and showed us around, gave us some recommendations for food places and was amazingly friendly throughout the whole stay. He even let us keep our rented bikes in his garage! I would highly recommend Scooter's studio and would love to stay again!

    Rachel2014-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • I traveled to Seattle to escape for a brief, writerly weekend, and absolutely adored this place. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet, within blocks of restaurants and shops (and delicious tea and coffee!), and a brief jaunt to bus lines, but also far enough from the buzz to enjoy the stillness of a cute residential neighborhood. The apartment itself is fantastic—spacious, spotless, inviting, and cozy. There's a full kitchen for those who'd prefer to venture to the nearby grocery store and prepare some meals at home. The heated floor is an indulgence, and the artwork (including a full mural) really brightens the place up. I also appreciated having a separate entryway so I could come and go without having to bother my hosts. Scooter has done an amazing job with this space. He is also a superb host, who kept in contact with me prior to and throughout my visit to make sure I had everything I needed. His knowledge of and appreciation for the neighborhood is extensive, and his hospitable nature genuine. He clearly takes pride in this endeavor, and sincerely appreciates his guests. Not to mention that he's an interesting person with whom I shared some great conversation! I would absolutely stay at this spot again, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a private, cozy spot to get some work done or just to be in the heart of an awesome Seattle neighborhood.

    Candace2015-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Scooter was an amazing host! The space is absolutely wonderful; spacious, cozy, very clean, perfect location, all the little necessities you need, great kitchen, and perfectly private. Scooter (and Bart the dog) were friendly and very accommodating. Scooter gave use great advice on places to visit, where to eat, and even helped us figure out the local bike rental system! His hospitality was far above what we expected from AirBNB ( this was our first time using AirBNB). My boyfriend and I stayed for only a few days, but our experience was superb and we definetly be using Scooter's place again next time we explore the city!
