“Gould Street wouldn’t be the shopping destination it is today without the longstanding fashion retailer Tuchuzy. Now in its 18th year, the boutique is a Bondi institution and draws locals and visitors through its doors week after week thanks to its reliable collections of Australian designers like Bassike and Dion Lee, as well as internationally famous brands like Acne Studios, Chloe, Missoni and Alexander Wang. ”

“Since launching in 2009 on Crosby Street in New York, and after expanding to Tokyo, men’s apparel label Saturdays NYC opened in Bondi in November 2015. The brand is synonymous with high-quality craftsmanship, a minimalist ethos and classic style. Originally created out of the team’s love for New York and surf culture, the brand has grown into a complete, well-curated menswear brand with emphasis colour, proportion and fit. Saturdays NYC’s current collection offers apparel, eyewear, accessories, footwear, outerwear, surfboards and its namesake publication. Saturdays NYC’s combined retail-cafe experience has become the brand’s signature format, and is the same for the Bondi space. Local coffee roaster Artificer is working with Saturdays NYC to provide the perfect blend for the store. The Bondi location shares the same minimalist aesthetic as the Manhattan and Tokyo locations. Akin Creative, led by Kelvin Ho, has incorporated blond wood and concrete into the design. Locally sourced timber and furniture are also integrated to support and complement the Saturdays NYC collection. The shop-front features a soaring four-metre-high glass and north-west aspect, allowing natural light to stream through the store while inviting the outside in.”
