Food scene in Boise

Latin American Restaurant
$$$
“Nicer restaurant with a fun atmosphere. If you like steak I highly recommend the Hot Rock Filet. The steak comes out mostly cooked on a very hot rock that you finish cooking to your liking. ”

American Restaurant

“Fork is owned by the same people who own Alavita, so it would follow that we love this place too. It has a slightly more casual vibe, with a menu that is more American-eclectic in its styling. The venue is a converted bank, so again is interesting to look at. Reservations recommended here too; open seating at the bar.”

Coffee Shop

“This place is back on the list because they have a basket of 'day olds but still just as good' baked goods that are ridiculously cheap. Get some giant scones, muffins and more!”

Bar

“This is one of my favorite standard affairs. The owners are local and eco-conscious (think zero packaging and compost worms in the basement for your scraps), they have lots of brews with a fun lounge next door, and the food is delicious at a great price. ”

Breakfast Spot
$$
“Goldy’s is our go-too sport for one of the greatest breakfasts in America (that is a bold statement from people who love breakfast!) We can’t seem to get enough of their breakfast burrito and their stuffed French toast. They don’t take reservations, so be prepared for a wait (at their coffee bar down the street), but you won’t regret the choice to eat here. ”

Shopping Mall
“The Village is a new and upcoming venue in the Treasure Valley and worth the trip. Loads of shopping, restaurants, breweries, parks and outdoor areas for everyone. In the summer there is a playground and grassy area for the kids to play and in the winter, a small outdoor ice skating rink. The Village also has a movie theater and Big Al's Bowling. ”

Plaza
“This is also one of the most popular spots in Boise. It's not downtown but in the heart of beautiful Hyde Park in the North End. It's a quaint little place so grab a cup of Joe and head to Camel's Back Park!”

“13th Street Pub & Grill is located in the historical Hyde Park region of Boise’s North End. Patrons enjoy open-air, patio and fireside seating for a comfortable year-round dining experience. The Pub is known for it’s relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and large selection of delicious menu items. Huge selection of local/regional beers on tab, excellent food, locally-sourced whenever possible. One of our favorite places! ”
