Architectural bright & airy Studio Retreat, beside a creek with wide billabongs - steep cow paddocks opposite - Rainforest surrounds. Amazing location in a valley 5 km north-west of Cooroy. Quiet Private nestled into nature near Noosa Eumundi The house is now equipped with a fire place to make winter extra cozy!
My place is just so peaceful and relaxing, that as soon as you enter, you will feel it. It is a refuge from the sounds of the city with only the sound of cows mooing and birds in song. The open plan living gives you a great area to just feel so free and chill out completely. The out look of the rambling hillsides and rural setting compliment the house. Not to mention the babbling brook that contains platypus, fish and turtles. You will have full access of the house. Satelitte television and dvd player here and a great selection of movies too. Ceiling fans are the best on hot days, but the fresh air always flows so well in the valley. Gas heating for winter. A washing machine for washing available too. Outside there is a Webber gas bbq. Inside a gas stove, electric oven and microwave oven. You will enjoy cooking in the kitchen with the country outlook. I am available to answer any questions about the house. I can tell you about some great cafes and restaurants and surrounding attractions. The house is situated in a very quiet valley, down a country dirt road. Totally tree covered. You cannot see any neighbours houses. So there is total privacy. You will be totally captured in the romantic setting as you sip your glass of wine in the afternoon, watching the magpie geese fly by. Or go for an afternoon or evening walk. You'll fall inlove with the place. You really need a car. As it is 5 kilometre out of town. About 20 minutes to the beach at Noosa. 10 minutes to the Eumundi market. The house is on tank water and it is lovely to drink, as it is all filtered. The concrete drive is steep and can be a challenge to some, but it is easy after a couple of goes. Your car will be under cover and protected.
  • Had such a lovely stay, the house was a stylish and serene space to spend time in, and set up so beautifully and yet so comfortably. Loved the outlook out over the billabong, the birdsong and the beautiful area. Louise was very friendly and easy to deal with. Thank you!

  • We absolutely loved Louise's home. Such a fantastic position and design with such a peace and delicious tranquility. Comfortable bed and great relaxing space :)

    Jolene2014-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at Louise's place. Such a magical environment - beautiful star filled evenings out on the deck. All that we needed to cook our own meals and really relax for the weekend. Great directions and other information from Louise before we arrived made it a very relaxing weekend! The breakfast provided for our first morning and late check-out time were very much appreciated. We'll be back!

  • Lou was fantastic as a host. Despite the fact that she was not present on the premises, she made sure we felt at home and all the necessary arrangements were in place. She was always accessible through her phone. Amos, her son, was around to help us get access to the property initially. Very welcoming and warmhearted hosts, all three of them - Lou, Amos and their dog Daisy :)

    Dipanjan2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Louise the cabin retreat was wonderful. The setting was so peaceful and the house was equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We love to cook and found the kitchen had everything we have at home. The house was great and the surroundings serine. We will definately be back.

  • Cooroy retreat was everything we could've asked for and more, the photos seriously do not do it justice. A lovely design, practical and environmentally friendly tucked away in its own private little paradise... A lot of love has gone into the property which makes it a home away from home. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle that my partner and I needed. Kitchen was fully equipped, the bed comfy and all the little creature comforts you need to enjoy yourself (enjoyed a few DVDs too!) The view from the deck was magical and we couldn't get enough of it. A beautiful lily pad covered lagoon with breathtaking tree views - my idea of happiness. Lou was quick to respond, super friendly and suggested places to eat which was fantastic, such a refreshing experience! Will definitely come back on our next trip. Thank you lou! :)

  • Louise was a excellent host, easy to contact and prompt and helpful with directions and information. The house surrounds were amazing, with a serene vista over a lily pond and grazing cattle. The house itself was breezy and open, with comfortable furnishings and everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Kitchen was well equipped, so more than adequate if you want to stay in for dinner. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

  • Katie's place is great for a serene get-away with a lovely view, and a short drive to the Noosa beaches. Thank you for the hospitality Katie!

    Michelle2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with Katie's home. What a magical place to stay! The view is like no other and the accommodation was wonderful. Katy was an awesome host and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. We took our two dogs along and they loved it just as much, the home is very accomodating for the pups. Their resident dog Jess is amazing and super friendly. I would highly recommend staying here, we can't wait to come back! ❤️

    Kylie2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views and a massive, well-equipped space. We (dog included) rate it 5 stars

    Szczuk2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay at Katie's place! The location was just gorgeous - far enough away to feel like you were able to escape for the weekend but less than 10 minutes to Cooroy and half an hour to Noosa! It was as lovely to take Jack (our dog) away with us and find pet friendly accommodation (which has everything you could need) as it was to meet Katie, her partner Dave and their dog Jess (who was a highlight herself). We will definitely be back!

    Kate2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The view from Katie's place is stunning! The accommodation itself was very clean and spacious. Katie was flexible with us regarding check in time and check out. It was overall a very pleasant stay!

    Pedro2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s place is in a great location for exploring both the Noosa coastline and hinterlands, and lots of great hiking spots within 15 or 20 minutes drive. The accommodation is well priced, spacious, super clean and the bed really comfortable. Katie is welcoming and also great at responding to queries before arriving. With the peace and quiet, Hinterland views and the occasional visit from a couple of friendly puppies it all adds up to a perfect place to stay.

    Alistair2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Katie's guesthouse. The views are stunning, the air is crisp, the guesthouse is comfortable and relaxing and the bed was toasty warm. Katie was very flexible with our check in time, and kindly accommodating with me forgetting a personal item after we had checked out; her sense of humour was greatly appreciated ;). If you want a relaxing escape on the Sunshine Coast with easy access to the beaches and the hinterland (breakfast in Kenilworth was a delight), then this is it :) Thanks Katie!

    Louisa2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location and views. Spacious, comfortable, self-contained accomodation separate to the host's amazing main house. Pool with a view you honestly have to see to believe. Excellent initial directions, communication and flexibility from the host (Katie). Even a friendly visit from their gentle dog. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Huge living area with a massive TV and air conditioning. The surrounding area (Cooroy, Yandina etc) is naturally beautiful with a really nice chilled vibe. We had an incredible late lunch at the famous Spirit House at Yandina. A bit of a trip to get there (25 minutes by car) but if you enjoy fine-dining in a truly unique setting then it’s so worth it. All this for outstanding value. Had a chat with the hosts as we were leaving and they seem like lovely people. If you’re after something a little different from the usual crowded holiday hotspots, I can’t recommend this place enough. Many thanks to Katie and family :)

Whether Summer or Winter, our unique and cozy home is built for relaxing. Our beds are comfortable, our views are magnificent, our welcome is warm! Rise to king parrots, wallabies and white cockatoos and the clucking of the chickens who’ll provide your eggs, spend the day down at the Noosaville River (20 mins) or Noosa Heads (30 mins), and then return for cocktail hour to watch the sun set over the valley from the lounges on our broad verandah.
Spread out and cook your own meals in the kitchen while your family chats to you across the bench, BBQ downstairs in the simple cool shaded outdoor entertainment area, or gather at the beautiful dining table (built by Matthew). Watch the stars from the deck, or lounge in front of the fireplace to finish off your night. We love to garden and the colour from trees and flowers outside of our home makes its way inside in unique pieces of art and paintings by old friends. Have a game of table tennis downstairs while cooking your bbq or a picnic by the dam, a warm fire for your comfort when chilly
Our place is a short and easy drive to Noosa, the world-famous Eumundi Markets and the lovely township of Cooroy, but far enough removed that you can enjoy quiet nights without rowdy neighbours. We are a great option for nature lovers and people looking for a retreat feel, and the home is as comfortable for a solo traveller as it is for a family group. You can also take advantage of the new Cooroy farmers market every 1st 2nd 5th sat,Cooroy town 6mins drive very good for food shopping and dining.
  • Very lovely host and house as well. Me and my friends had a great time there. Highly recommend especially countryside lovers.

    Fey2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing. Beautiful views, lots of wildlife and great hosts. We really enjoyed our stay a lot. Robyn and Matthew were very generous and thoughtful - they provided many needed items to get started with and helped us a lot with directions to and from various places. We didn't have time to go sightseeing, but they had lots of brochures for that too. Highly recommended.

    Suzanne2017-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for small groups looking for a weekend away. Close to everything in noosa. Robyn and Mathew were wonderful. Would recommend to everyone

    Vivek2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful peaceful property. Stunning views and so very quiet. The house was very comfortable and it felt like a home with character. I would recommend this property. Matthew and Robin were wonderfully warm and great hosts. Thanks for a great stay.

    Brett2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew & Robyn thought of every last detail to make our stay a real "home away from home"; it's the perfect rural retreat whilst being an easy jaunt into Noosa & the Eastern beaches of Sunshine & Coolum. Loved being amongst the tree tops with the abundance of bird life including Robyn's chooks, who gave us fresh eggs every day!

    Tracey2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful place. Our family had an fantastic time. The house and location was everything we could want from a country retreat. Beautiful views from the balcony, gorgeous home made furniture, comfortable beds and chairs, lovely décor, indoor fireplace for chilly nights, and spectacular birdlife that constantly visit the balcony water bath. The kitchen is well stocked and with some extras (their chicken's eggs, milk, bread, jam, chillies etc). Our children had an absolute ball, Robyn and Matthew's grandson was visiting and so they had a ball playing with him and being treated to golf buggy rides from Matthew. They loved playing table tennis and darts as well. We enjoyed our two days so much, we didn't hop in our car the entire time. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

    Caryn2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mathew & Robyn made us very welcome in their home, a lovely peaceful rural setting to enjoy the bush and birdlife. A great break from the city.

    Fiona2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for my stay! The first thing I will say is that the photos of this beautiful home do not do it justice! It's one of the most peaceful, beautiful, calm spaces you could possibly find to relax in. I arrived after the sun went down to receive a warm welcome from Matthew and Robyn. They retired and I had the deck to myself for the evening to relax under the bright stars. In the morning I woke up to the most astounding views - if you can arrive in the late afternoon to make sure you get a sunset, do it! The bed is very comfortable, and as they say, all of the spaces in the house are designed for relaxing. I spent the day at the beach and then came back (it's an easy drive) to another lovely night on the deck. The flowers and gardens are so beautiful and the birds are amazing. Thank you so much again for my stay and I hope to come back in future!

Perfect for friends, travellers and families looking for an Off the grid, low tech holiday . Cabin contains all the basics for a comfy glamping experience.
The space is warm, homely and extremely comfortable. There is a fireplace and hot water to keep you warm on chilly nights. During the day, take a walk through the native garden. There is a dam on the property - children must be supervised at all times.
The neighborhood is extremely unique. You are sharing your space with birds, wallabies and other native wildlife. Walk down to Happy Jack Creek to have a picnic or just some fresh air. There is another dwelling on the property - please be courteous and respect each other's space ;)
  • Happy Jacks totally delivered! It was secluded and cosy, we were kept warm by the fire every night, and were woken by beautiful bird song every morning. Liesl was a lovely host, meeting us after dark to show us around and leaving freshly laid eggs and amazing home made pesto. Happy Jacks is something really special. We will be back.

    Michelle2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Liesl's space is just perfect for a week to unwind and escape the chore of everyday life. The homely set up has everything you need for a weekend in the bush. Turn off your phone and enjoy being woken up to the sound of Kookaburras and whip birds. Sit by the fire and enjoy each others company without having to worry about anyone or anything bothering your peace and quiet. I will be back for sure when my soul needs a little fresh air and isolation. Thanks Liesl.

Robert and Beth even had Oreos and fresh eggs in the fridge for us! You would need a car to get there easily though, but it is sure worth it if you want to be a bit out of town. Our Barn is a restored 110 year old dairy in the Noosa hinterland combining rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and mountains and only minutes away from the famous Eumundi market town.
The Barn at Hill House is the result of a labour of love and an appreciation of 110 year old farming architecture and a celebration of dairy farming in the Eerwah Valley. The restored old dairy combines basic rustic charm with contemporary style and comfort in a rural setting with views to the rolling hills and nearby Mount Eerwah and Mount Cooroy. The Barn is separate from the main house and completely private. The Barn includes •a kitchen with quality appliances and commercial Cook-on oven •a living area with comfy old leather couches and a glass fronted slow burning wood heater •a dining area with our eclectic collection of chairs and table which seats 6 •a separate Bath House with semi outdoor bath and a composting loo with (much more than) a view •a veggie garden with fresh greens and herbs for picking. •a separate bedroom furnished with a Queen sized bed, beautiful linen, romantic canopy and hand crafted timber furniture. •a double sized daybed off the living area •an office space off the living area •a sun filtered shady courtyard for a cup of tea under the Bunya trees •a lawn with a stone fire circle where you can have an open fire to sit around under the stars. The Barn has a unique charm and character and is a fantastic place to spend a few days or a week but it is a recycled barn with lots of recycled materials and elements and a tin roof. Expect it to be a little different.
We love living here. The main house is at the end of the driveway and our architecture office is next door (but closed on weekends). Musavale Road is a quiet cul de sac and makes for a pleasant half hour morning or afternoon stroll. Our property is almost surrounded by a neighbouring working cattle farm.
  • We loved staying in the barn because the entire experience was fantastic from the beautiful scenery to every last detail thought of to make our stay perfect!! we loved the vegie patch to the fire pit!! Could not recommend the barn more highly. For a Romantic getaway to a family break...

  • It is very hard to beat the hospitality of The Barn at Hillhouse. Sarah is so warm and genuine and her energy is infectious! She seems to know everyone and that means her recommendations are always spot on. The barn is every bit as cool and quirky as the photos depict but it is also very comfortable and the views are sublime. The mix of outdoor and indoor living was such a treat. This is a magical place to unwind. I didn't want to leave! For me it's a combination of the beautiful barn conversion and the fabulous energy of the property which is a reflection of the hostess and her lovely family. I have especially fond memories of sitting around the fire pit at night with the mountain back drop and impossibly beautiful stars. I felt like I was away from it all but it's still very close to Noosa (c. 25 mins) and less than 10 mins to Eumundi. I can't recommend The Barn highly enough - this area has so much more to offer than Hastings St! Thanks Sarah, Andrew and George for taking such wonderful care of me and letting me share in the magic of your beautiful haven.

    Jenny2016-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is our first time using Airbnb. The time we spent at the barn was special and unforgettable. The barn has a historic charm as well as good country view. Loved the open design that connects indoor and outdoor together. Love the attention to details too. Great selection of books, music, local artists' ceramic wares etc. The pet peacock family was very cute! We used a cucumber and some herbs from the veggie garden for dinner and it was delicious. The location is convenient too very close to the Emundi markets. We had a great anniversary here. Thanks Sarah and Andrew for your special place.

    Li2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn blends delightfully into the rolling countryside. The transition between indoors & outdoors merges with the semi-outdoors bath & frequent visits from Mrs Peacock & her babies. Listen to the cows, horses, ducks, birds & other wildlife from cosy couches or the main bedroom, netted to keep out the insects. If it all gets too much, Eumund is just a short drive away. Personal touches from the hosts provide a welcoming vibe & local artworks complement the space. A great place to get away from it all.

    Tammy2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn at Hill House is a little bit of heaven so I don't know where to begin. If you need an escape from the city or just need a place to unwind and enjoy the simple and beautiful things in life then stop searching and book this place. Throughout our stay we kept saying "oh look at that" and "did you see this?". It has that special feeling a place has when it has been well loved with an authentic and rustic quality that is rare to find these days. The bed is super comfy with quality linens and the walls are filled with artwork from local artists. I recommend bringing that book you have been wanting to read and sitting in the garden. We loved seeing the farm animals and experiencing the peacefulness of the setting. There is also nothing like a cuddle by a campfire under the stars to put things in perspective. We visited the veggie garden for herbs in the morning and green beans for lunch. We took a trip to the historic Eumundi Markets on Saturday morning which was a very easy trip and a great place for food, music, and a massage! After meeting your host, Sarah, you will need to make room on your friend list because you will want to add her to it. As we were driving away my husband and I began writing a list of all of the people we need to tell about The Barn. We can't wait to return to this truly special place.

    Rebecca2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay. It's a beautiful and private property and have already recommended it to others.

    Maria2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a truly magical couple of days! Sarah made us feel incredibly welcome and no words can really describe the feeling of calm that washes over you the minuet you step into the wonderful rustic barn. The open plan space brings the stunning outdoors in, instantly connecting you with nature, you can't help but just smile and take it all in. My sister and I couldn't have wished for anything more during our stay - our highlights included watching the sun go down in the outdoor bath and roasting marshmallows around the camp fire. 10/10 for atmosphere and very special memories made, thank you Sarah

  • From the moment we arrived our stay at The Barn was perfect. Sarah creates a beautiful atmosphere in an idyllic environment. The calm and relaxed energy was felt from the moment we walked through the door. We spent two nights at The Barn and would happily have stayed on for much, much longer. With many comforts, yet a connection to the beautiful landscape outside we were happy to stay put, relax and enjoy the wildlife who came to say hello during our stay. The Barn's restoration and decoration has kept this beautiful old building true to it's former style. The addition of Sarah's touch with the interesting and homely decor, music, fires, lighting and scent all provide a complete break from the everyday and invite you to unwind and rejuvenate. I would recommend a regular stay at The Barn to everyone I know. An absolute must for the bucket list.

Rural beauty just outside the Sunshine Coast. Parrots and kangaroos among the flowers in the yard. Classic Queensland house on a quiet country road only a few minutes from the coast, Eumundi Market, Ginger Factory and a short drive to Australia Zoo. 20 minutes west of Noosa Heads, 120 km north of Brisbane close to MCY airport with direct flights from Syd and Melb. The Greenroom is surrounded by bush, wildlife, wetlands and walking tracks, with panoramic views from the high ridges.
This house has been our studio for the past decade. I have written a book here, and we have written and recorded a double album here and rehearsed for hundreds of hours in the front room. The house has a lovely broad front veranda where you will spend a lot of time. The morning birdsong is pretty spectacular over morning coffee. There are three double bedrooms, and a common lounge dining area. The two rooms at the rear of the house are where we live if we are in residence, which is fairly seldom since we are now on tour for the next few years, returning briefly in the mild months.
  • Beautiful, peaceful country setting. The house was spartan yet comfortable with fantastic wildlife about and Annette gave us a great mud map to show us where we could walk on the property to get the best views. Cooroy is a lovely little town with excellent coffee away from the hustle of Noosa but close enough to visit. Eumundi and Yandina markets also within easy reach.

    Ros2016-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a relaxing stay with the only the chickens, birds, goannas and kangaroos for company. Fresh eggs in the morning and a wood fire at night were the highlights of our trip. We loved the comfortable, rustic nature of the property and only wished we could've stayed longer.

  • Beautiful farm house. Nice quiet area, perfect place for a weekend getaway.

  • Annette's house in Cooroy is Suk a beautiful, peaceful place, while still being 5-10 minutes from town. The house has everything you need, including fresh eggs from the chickens out the back. Had a great time, and will most likely return shortly for a relaxing retreat.

  • What a beautiful place to stay if you want to get away from the rat race. You will feel like you've stepped into another world on this little farm. I spent a few weeks here and was very relaxed. Short drive into town for supplies and the amazing Noosa Beach not far away. Annette is so easy going and accomodating.

    Kate2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. The fresh flowers on the wooden table in the living room and in our bedroom were a nice touch. Our pooch, Tilly, was made to feel welcome and spent some quality time on her bed in front of the fire and sniffing and exploring the garden (as you do!). We will be back... Chris, Sarah and Tilly

  • We spend our New Year in Annett's house. Its beautiful Queensland house, quiet location, close to shops and restaurant, 25-30 mins drive Noosa. Nice kitchen and relaxing place to relax in countryside. You can see kangoroo in the morning and after in front yard. We got fresh and free egg for breakfast from chicken behind the house. Great place to get away from city.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Charming Country Studio. Libby was very welcoming and we wish we could spend more time at the studio. The views are beautiful and it was so peaceful and quiet. We would love to go back for another visit.

  • Libby made us feel very welcome and at ease as soon as we arrived. It was just as beautiful as the photo's and the surroundings were breath taking! We also found a lovely little note with some chocolate wishing us a happy anniversary. Libby went over and above to make us an amazing 100% wool doona and underlay before we left as she makes them on the premises. Will will most definitely be back and will tell all our friends and family ;). Thanks Libby for making our stay so wonderful!

    Katie2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded and plenty of shady trees to relax under. Especially liked the dvd collection. Next time will take more Aeroguard though as midgies were swarming at dusk. Overall a great getaway thanks Libby

  • This is a bright and airy little studio set in a beautiful garden on the top of a hill overlooking the rest of the property. The studio is well equipped and beautifully fitted out and there are 7 acres to roam over and enjoy. The resident pets are also a lot of fun. While the location is rural, is only a few minutes drive to shops and restaurants in Cooroy.

    Nives2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular views over the valley in a hidden oasis. Libby's place is exactly as described and is a perfect place for a quiet escape. The studio is spacious and well- setup. We were there with our toddler and he loved running around on the beautiful green grass while we enjoyed drinks and watched the sunset. We look forward to returning one day soon.

    Emma2017-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended! Only a short drive from Noosa, Libby's studio is clean, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful gardens. As a host Libby was accommodating (she froze our numerous eski ice bricks) and gave us space and privacy. Like visiting a friend, Libby was up for a relaxed chat and had helpful recommendations for the local area.

A huge, airy, eccentric pole house awaits you nestled in a mini rain forest with a spectacular, uninterrupted view of Mt Cooroora. Snooze in a hammock in the Gazebo by the pool or read a book in the hammock outside the reading nook on the second terrace. Or get out and about explore Pomona, Cooroy, Noosa, Eumundi and their many wonderful markets. Take the ferry to North Shore beaches. Paddleboard, surf, sunbake, climb the view, it's up to you.
I hope you get as blown away by the view as I did when I first saw it! Sitting on the deck with a coffee working out where you want to go for the day, watching the morning mist roll off Mt Cooroora makes it hard to follow through with your plans to get in the car. Sunset with a glass of wine and cheese platter is equally enticing. The super soft beds in large bedrooms make it difficult to get up in the morning. Lounge in the bath looking out into the garden. Curl up on a couch or hammock with a book from the mini library. Unwind and let the spirit of tranquility wash over you. Maybe launch the dinghy on the dam or feed the horses a carrot over the fence. A storm here is awesome! Lightning spears down from the sky striking Mt Cooroora, the sound of the thunder; the rain and hail on the roof is magical. This place really does have a special energy, I hope you can tap into it and be at one with the tranquility. I guarantee you will leave refreshed.
Pomona is a lovely little Hinterland town. It has 14 different places to buy coffee. Deb's 'SpillDeBeans' is a locals favourite. There is a great choice of eateries for a small town. Serge's Pizza and Pasta is fabulous, often with live music. The Majestic Theatre, the oldest 'silent movie theatre in the world, serves a wonderful meal at 'Valentino's', check out their website for what's on, they have some talented musicians play there (and they let you take your wine into the theatre!) There are also Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurants. There is a wonderful off leash dog park which has an exercise track and gym machinery. This park is very popular with children. There are three wonderful Op Shops run by the Red Cross, Lifeline and Salvos, they have some amazing stuff, support a good cause, you might find a treasure (recently a local bought an old suitcase and found $25,000 in the lining! He gave it back to the charity..not sure I wouldn't have been tempted to keep a bit for me!). There is a selection of quirky second hand/Antique shops, 'Rockin' Relics. Take the challenge, climb the mountain! The view from the top is breath taking. Although your breath will already be taken by the climb, not for the unfit! Lie by the pool with a book or explore the Hinterland. There is always the beach!
  • Our experience staying at this gorgeous, country home was perfect! Our host, Sue, was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The house was lovely and very well kept. The surrounds are as tranquil and gorgeous as the picture depicts. The verandah, overlooking that gorgeous view was a place of true escape where you can relax and refresh....I could have sat there all day! Our children loved the experience, enjoying the pets that Sue had there and being terribly excited to be able to see some bush critters as well. Thank you Sue, we had a lovely retreat at your house and our children are still telling their stories to the grandparents! You and your place are just gorgeous!

    Jason2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay and just relax. The view to the mountain is even better than on the picture. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Would stay there again in a heartbeat

  • Places like this are why Airbnb can be so good! We had a wonderful time staying at Sue's lovely house this weekend. Sue is a very warm and friendly host and her house is beautiful and very peaceful. The views are stunning and the property is very well located if you want to look around the local towns with numerous local markets around. If you are coming from outside the Sunshine Coast for a holiday I would say that Sue's house is a great spot from which to explore. Likewise, for people like us who live under an hour away but wanted to get away for the weekend, it's perfect :-) Thank you for having us Sue we all had a perfect weekend!

  • What a pleasure. Tranquility Park ticks all the boxes. Secluded, peaceful, warm and inviting. Time seems to slow down but our stay was far to short. The view is distracting, you cannot take your eyes off it. The house is open, airy and built to absorb the view and the nature around you. Beds comfortable, house exceptionally well appointed even fresh eggs from the chooks for breakfast. Sue was pleasure to deal with, fast responses and happy to help. Our family loved her pets and the resident wildlife is beautiful. I kayaked the Mary River ( 15mins down the road ), naturally awesome and so full of life. Wish I had time to climb the mountain. Could not recommend more if you were looking for natural escape and a place to wind down.

    Brett2015-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquility Park was all we expected and more. Superb location, beautiful accommodation and incredibly helpful host. Sue made our weekend experience one to remember. We will be back!

  • Welcoming, tranquil place; as described. View as in photo(s).

  • As soon as we drove up to the house (after being three hours late due to traffic!), Sue and the puppy, Jack, made us feel so welcome and at home. The house was quirky, clean, comfy and well equipped (board games, movies, cooking stuff and a sneaky bottle of bubbly!), and the view was beyond magnificent. We spend the weekend at the Eumundi markets, beaching at Noosa, and lounging the afternoons away by the pool with a few drinks and good book. If you're thinking of booking this little piece of paradise - do it. This was our first Airbnb experience, and it definitely will not be our last. Sue, thankyou for an amazing, relaxing weekend. Jack and Kamikaze, thanks for the cuddles. :)

    Matilda2015-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately the host didn't make us feel welcome nor was the property ready for us on arrival. "Are you A... shouted down from the deck?" Apparently she had been trying to reach me through the airbnb site but as I am fairly new to using airbnb I didn't look as once booked I was going on holiday that had already been paid for. Other issues include: * cockroach infestation! * advertises pet friendly then states her dog is territorial * the do's and don't list was huge * pool gate broken * pool resuscitation signs were non existent * pool not clean... never heard or saw the pool pump being used * fridge was in use for Host food products- called in to collect frozen dog food on a couple of nights * probably trying to be accommodating "please use the biscuits that have been opened and left by a previous occupant" from cockroach infested kitchen- no thank you Overall it could have been a wonderful break, beautiful scenery and has the potential to be very relaxing.

Cozy, peaceful, close to the mountains and nature. Get away from it all in this unique home. Charming Pomona is a short drive to Eumundi markets or Noosa beaches. You’ll love the comfy beds, organic garden, gourmet kitchen and the friendly host! My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Hide away for an extended stay or stop in as you travel on the Bruce Highway.
This eclectic, pet free, 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom home was built by hand by an internationally renowned Australian Aboriginal artist. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, wardrobe and space for your suitcase or backpack. Rainwater tanks and solar power make it eco friendly and you still have all the mod cons including heated towel racks in the bathroom! The gourmet kitchen has every gadget and toy you could imagine and you are welcome to prepare anything you like. The other two bedrooms are my bedroom and office so the house has plenty of space and is very relaxed.
  • Sherry's beautiful abode is a manifestation of love and awareness and each and every place has her signature on it. Would recommend this place to each n' everyone who likes to spend time in bush.

  • My dad & I came up to Pomona to see a show and had the pleasure of staying with Sherry. She was very welcoming & so easy to talk to. The place itself is just as beautiful as it is homely all set on a relaxing and peaceful 7 acres. The timber work which is throughout the house aswell as featured outside is amazing. Sharing a cuppa & breakky in the morning was a wonderful bonus. I would definitely stay again if I'm up in the area! Just lovely

    Caitlin2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • House and host are both absolutely lovely. The place is clean and comfy, smells great too. Sherry was very thoughtful and got everything prepared for us even though we arrived when she wasn't around. True to the description and better, really.

  • Sherry’s home is a small wonder of comfort and beauty. It’s quite unique and very obviously built and furnished with love. One of the reasons I chose Sherrie’s place was for its proximity to the highway. What I hadn’t expected was the quiet and bush-retreat feel to it. Perfect for a restful night before hitting the road again. Sherry was a kind and welcoming host – 5 airbnb stars!

A delightful space with queen bed, spare single which is also a couch, bathroom shower kitchen with stove and oven. Natural and simplistic yet very comfortable and stylish and private. Our neighborhood is quiet, and tranquil. As we are living on just over 6 acres, there is plenty of space to walk. The surrounding area is complete with cows and the occassional tractor will come and go. Lots of wildlife such as kangaroos, bush turkeys, kookaburra's, finches , blue wrens etc can be found around the property. We are surrounded by three mountains with rolling hills either side that are 150 to 250 acres in size. The road to our home is just over 1 Km. The tree lined road runs past several homes going uphill before reaching our 'sunshine ridge' turnoff. Look for the sign up our concrete drive that says "Sunshine Ridge".
  • Our stay in the cottage surpassed our expectations - the views are simply stunning and the cottage is cozy and comfortable. The cottage and surrounding property has both sunset and sunrise views, we loved waking up in the morning to the changing light outside or taking a walk around the property at sunset. We expected it to be chilly in early July but the cottage is very well insulated and we were warm at night without even having to turn the heater on. The well stocked kitchen allowed us to make a few simple meals for ourselves while staying. Annie and Darryl were lovely hosts, very welcoming, and we enjoyed chatting with them and hearing more about their lives.

We loved all the little touches: turning aircon on for us, providing tea, pod coffee, fresh milk, cold drinks and a beautifully styled mini home away from home. We had dinner at the local Indian restaurant which was delicious. Thank you for being so friendly and hospitable. We're looking forward to coming back soon! Matt & Jess

  • This was a great place to stay, a cute and quiet little cottage, with everything you need. Our suburban collie loved having so much space to run and play outside. The owners are lovely people and we felt very relaxed here. The town centre is a very short drive and there were lots of charming cafes that would certainly give city cafes a run for their money.

  • Such a warm and cozy place to stay. Felt relaxed and at "home". Enjoyed the fresh eggs and coffee, such a thoughtful touch. We were in town for a wedding at the Botanical Gardens and Robert and Beth's place was close to the venue and reception. Also a nice drive to Noosa. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our patch of paradise is perfect if you would like a getaway for a night or two or a base to explore Noosa and its hinterland over an extended period. Feel at home in your own private bedroom with en-suite, sitting area and north facing poolside deck. Modern, breezy and in an idyllic setting, you will be welcomed like family or left to come and go at your leisure - it's up to you. With Noosa's beaches and river, bustling towns of Cooroy/Eumundi and scenic surrounds, you'll be spoilt for choices.
We live in a beautiful part of the world in the rolling green hills here on the Noosa hinterland. The bustling township of Cooroy with its coffee shops, patisseries and eateries is just an 8 minute drive as is the village of Pomona and for the more adventurous there is a great hike to the top of Mt Cooroora. Tinbeerwah lookout, Noosa beaches and the pristine Noosa River are also easily accessible. And who could go past the thriving Eumundi Markets ready and waiting for you every Wednesday and Saturday and only 15 minutes by car. We have established our 8 acre property over the last 10 years, having built our dream home, planted gardens, enjoyed time exploring the natural environment with abundant birdlife that live in our rainforest and around our huge dam (registered Land for Wildlife property) and are ready to share our space with you as our guests. We offer a large private bedroom which is great for couples and also family friendly. You have your own ensuite bathroom for your exclusive use. There is a living space, huge verandah overlooking the property and a 10 metre pool for your enjoyment. Tea and coffee available as you wish and breakfast is provided. Our patch of paradise offers you the perfect getaway for a night or two or as a base for you to explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Our acreage property is just far enough from local towns and places of interest but still more than accessible. We are more than happy to share some local insight to help you make the most of your stay in this beautiful part of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
  • Excellent hosts. Margaret & Wayne opened their home to our family with kindness. They were very accomodating of our last minute booking and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Nina the dog was an added bonus! We would love to come back in the future, highly recommended.

  • We all loved our short stay with Wayne, Margaret and Nina, beautiful home with stunning views, our hosts made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. Unfortunately we had to leave the next day, but only after a lovely homemade breakfast, thank you so much, all the best Les, Lisa, Joan and Liz.

  • Wayne and Margaret are absolutely lovely people and great hosts! We had an amazing stay in their beautiful house. The views are breathtaking. Wayne and Margaret gave us some advice on what to see in the area. Definitely check out Eumundi and the brew house in Pomona. The swim after a day out was very nice as well. We would definitely recommend their place for a nice and relaxing stay!

Just 5 min of the Bruce Hwy a tranquil place in nature, glorious views, privacy and restfulness everything you'll need to relax & enjoy this holiday. Native wildlife kangaroo's,possum's and wild birds etc. Close to Noosa's beach & to Eumundi Market
Just 5 min off the Bruce Highway on your trip here is a place to enjoy nature at its best. The peace and tranquility will charge your batteries while you enjoy the wonderful views from the deck.
Complete private apartment downstairs of the home on a rural property. My nearest neighbours are over 100m away. Peaceful, natural, pollution free fresh air and wonderful wildlife and plenty of relaxation.
  • Mon was a perfect host. After showing us around the suite she respected our privacy until we approached her asking questions about the area. She gave us a ton of useful information about the hinterlands and suggestions for restaurants. The suite is a located under their house with a separate entry. It's easy to get to from the highway but not walkable into town so you'll need to drive if you want to go out for a meal. The suite had everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Comfty chairs on the back verandah to admire the views, a kitchen with enough pots and pans to cook a meal rather than eating out (if that's your thing) and finally a DVD collection to enjoy in the evenings. There was also a friendly cat called Rosie there that we got to meet just before we checked out. All in all, a fantastic place and a fantastic host. The epitome of what Air BnB is all about.

    Chris2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Mon's place is very tranquil & special. Our accomodation had everything we needed, clean fresh towels & bedding, a fully equiped kitchen with tea, coffee, milk, cereal, fruit & chocolate. (I ate the chocolate within 5 minutes of arriving - yum!). Our room had a wonderful view. We visited Pomona & Coolum during our stay and absolutely loved the scenic drive.

    Chantelle2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mon's place was as described, a rustic home with beautiful views from the downstairs guest area and deck. We thought it was great for a night when attending a nearby gig. Mon was very friendly, gave great directions and was happy to help with anything needed. Guest area is downstairs and you will hear the family moving about upstairs. We spent most of our time there on the deck and the kitchenette and bbq made it easy to self cater. We'd definitely go back!

    Amanda2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mon was very welcoming and friendly and the venue was beyond our expectations. The property was very well equipped with everything we would need for our four days there. The apartment is spacious and clean. Sitting on the verandah enjoying the marvellous view was a real treat and being able to drive to the front door of the apartment was a great bonus. This is a place we will put among the top five of our airBnB venues. Thanks Mon and Barry

  • A lovely private apartment below the main house with views from the balcony across the fields and valley below. Very tidy and well maintained, a good location and a comfortable bed!

    Casper2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We wish to thank Mon for making part of your home available to us for our brief stay of only two days, we wish we could have stayed longer but as we only made the decision to come to QLD to visit a sick friend in Pomona the week before, we did not think there would be any accommodation available in the peak holiday period. Following an extensive search on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) we came across Airbnb and found your site and were very relived to find you had a vacancy for our inflexible timetable. Also at very reasonable rates. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown around the ground floor unit and could not believe our luck in finding such well presented accommodation which fully lived up to the presentation on the Airbnb site. The views down the valley from be the bedroom and private front deck were great. The accommodation was modern, very clean and self contained. It was very well supplied with tea, coffee, cups, glasses and other kitchen items. Bathroom has a separate shower, bath and vanity basin. Toilet is separate. Again very clean and modern. This place is a hidden gem, located in the hinterland five minutes from Pomona town centre where there are great food places and 20-25 minutes from Noosa. Why stay in Noosa with all the crowds and high prices? This venue on the top our accommodation list next time we visit QLD. Thanks Mon for a great stay. Regards, Graeme & Di.

Other local things of interest include the famous Christmas in Cooroy parade, the Yandina Ginger Factory and we are only half an hour from the Sunshine Coast Airport. • Thank you for your hospitality Linda and David. First of all we are totally happy that we could spend our Easter time at Lily View. We spent time in Cooroy first time so it was just unexpected positive feeling. The benefit staying in Cooroy was really good position to short drive to anywhere in Sunshine coast, both seaside and inland. Also Lily View was modern, clean and cosy for us. Everything there to use for us.

  • Linda and David are truly wonderful hosts! They even provided an extra bed and toys for our toddler. Really friendly and respectful and they shared lots of info about where to go in the local area. Their place is well located to go to Noosa or Maleny and it's close to the highway. The place was modern and clean with a comfy bed and well equipped kitchen. Everything was well thought of including Netflix. The breakfast was generous, the local Indian is fantastic and Thai Square in Noosa was one of the best Thai restaurants. We loved staying here and will be back!

  • Linda and David are lovely hosts. They have done everything to make us feel comfortable. They are familiar with the Sunshine Coast area and gave us valuable tips for our trip. Always helpful and ready for a good chat, the hosts provided us a great time during our 9 days in Cooroy. The property is immaculate. The kitchen is brand new with modern appliances. We found the fridge and the cupboard filled with goods for breakfast and more! There are plenty of storage space, good quality amenities, privacy, a well maintained garden and a beautiful lake in the property. The location is convenient as you can move easily to Noosa or even explore the countryside - markets, lookouts, lakes. We strongly recommend this property. Thanks for everything.

Guests have a large double bedroom with views across the garden and beyond to forest. There is a private ensuite bathroom with hanging space in the adjacent walkin robe. Light breakfast can be prepared in our kitchen and eaten in either the large family room or on our lovely deck. We are only 4 mins drive from Cooroy town but in a quiet peaceful area full of greenery.
Our house is a new Queenslander, elevated with lovely views so there are stairs up to the house from the driveway.
The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Cooroy is a delightful small town with many amenities, restaurants, hotel, cafes, art gallery and a strong community spirit. The Memorial Hall is being restored and a thriving History and Genealogy Society welcomes visitors. Cooroy is now decorated for Christmas and the Tree will be lit on Friday December 1. The town looks very festive! A Farmer's market began in October with over 40 stalls, music and cooking demonstration every first, third and fifth Saturday, 7am-1pm. We are a few mins drive from Noosa Botanic gardens and Lake Macdonald which offers picnic spots, boating and walks.
  • I would say that Cathy and Dennis were the perfect host and they were so lovely to interact and communicate with! They even helped us to find the restaurant where we can have dinner as we were struggled to find the place (We stayed on Good Friday so most of them were closed). The room and private bath room were clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable :) Highly recommended to have them as hosts!

  • Cathy and Denis were very friendly and welcoming hosts and made us feel at ease. The room was very big and had an en suite which was nice. They provided us with wifi, complimentary tea/coffee and use of toiletries. The only downside I would say is the location there's not much to do there and the nearest town is Noosa where there's a lot going on. Would definitely recommend if the location suits you.

The light and airy studio (60m2) is self contained, has a fireplace, great north facing deck (25m2) with a Weber BBQ and spectacular views. It is a secluded nature-lovers retreat yet close to popular tourist destinations. Access to the studio is only by AWD/4WD vehicle via a well maintained 300m long gravel road from the bottom of our property.
Our property is located 4kms west of the thriving town of Cooroy near the end of a small quiet valley. There are no near neighbours to disturb your privacy. Most of the 27 acres of this Land for Wildlife property are now under covenant to secure the forest for future generations. The studio itself is situated on the ridge in splendid isolation within an old growth eucalyptus forest. There are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, including Mt Cooroy and Tinbeerwah, from every room. It is a true nature-lovers retreat. It is private and the wildlife abounds. While the old growth forest is along the ridge, elsewhere on the property the wildlife habitat has been extended over the years by the planting of more than 5,000 trees. We now see great recruitment of plant species thanks to the many birds that visit regularly and the plantings from 2003 to 2012 are looking like real forest. Feel free to wonder around and see for yourself. You are likely to encounter foraging wallabies, lace monitors and literally dozens of bird species. Many of the birds will visit the bird bath near the studio throughout the day. We don’t believe in feeding birds but do provide water. It is wonderful to just sit on the deck and watch them do their thing, honeyeaters in the grevilleas, others species chasing insects or foraging for grass seeds, dipping in for a bath or having a drink. I highly recommend sundowners on the deck. You will see the changing colour of the near and distant landscape, breathtakingly beautiful as the sun sets and birds come for their last bath or drink of the day. You are also likely to see wallabies and goannas commute across the ridge and, of course, the ubiquitous scrub turkeys strutting about. THE SURROUNDS: Its only 5 minutes drive Cooroy where you will find eateries, coffee shops, an award winning IGA supermarket, the old Butter Factory now an art gallery and gift store, historic walking trails and the Noosa Botanic Gardens. It’s 10 minutes drive to iconic Eumundi markets which are held Wednesday and Saturday, 15 minutes to the restaurants and riverside of Noosaville, and 20 - 25 minutes to Noosa Heads itself. Pomona to our north where King of the Mountain is held each year is also worth exploring with an Art Gallery, cafes and markets (every 2nd and 3rd Saturday of the month). In the Studio you will find a folder containing a lot of useful information and you can phone Leena anytime.
There is an info booklet and some brochures in the studio for those who wish to explore Cooroy and surrounds. If you can't find what you need there, Leena and Mike are local experts and would be happy to assist.
  • Mike and Leena were amazing hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. For my first Airbnb they have set the bar very high. The house was just as nice as it looks in the pictures. A secluded little house on the top of a hill with nice views. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Thanks for the stay

Despite its raised appearance, the two bedroom Federation Cottage (cottage #2 of 4) is a single floor. The decor is formal, fully carpeted (apart from tiled kitchen, laundry and bathroom areas) with antique furnishings recalling Queensland history.
The modern, luxury, custom-built, architect-designed cottages (four total) are designed to be your home away from home. Complete kitchens with private laundry, private patio and verandahs with gas barbecue, and both indoor and outdoor dining tables exceed the mere offerings of B&B or motel rooms, yet at comparably less cost. See our other Cooroy house listings regarding our other three cottages which are often booked together for an exclusive private function, such as family reunions, birthday celebrations, weddings, etc. Access to the single floor cottage is from the private entrance path either via a stairway to the front verandah or via a continued sloped paved pathway to the rear verandah gate, making it also accessible and suitable for elderly guests. The full carpeting (apart from the tiled bathroom and open kitchen area) may be a possible concern for some guests with very young children or unfamiliar pets. Both of the two bedrooms are located in the shaded forested back of the cottage, as is the interior formal dining area, each with private access to the surrounding rear verandah. The front verandah, lounge, kitchen and bathroom have direct views toward Mt. Cooroora and access to the surrounding front verandah. Each of the two bedrooms contains one queen bed, to which a single rollaway bed (if available) may be added to a bedroom, so the cottage can accommodate a maximum of five guests. The bathroom has a shower\tub combination. The Federation cottage has a gated verandah which surrounds three sides of the cottage. Outdoor seating is also provided on both the front and rear verandahs. The gated verandah not only serves to keep young children close and safe, but also can serve as a temporary kennel for accompanying pets when guests are away from the cottage. The solar-heated guest shared swimming pool is situated near the managers residence. We request five minutes notice to remove the pool cover as we are on rainwater supply. A small private side yard area is available with a large timber dining table with benches and gas barbecue. Extensive private gardens and open parkland areas for walks or play surround the Federation cottage and assure privacy in addition to each cottage being situated approximately 50 metres apart. The cottage’s private parking area includes a double carport, but does involve a short walk from the carport to the cottage along its private pathway The 97 acre secluded private estate in the Noosa hinterland offers a nearby extensive rock pond with waterfalls, boardwalk and gazebo, 4kms of bushtrails, over 8,000 planted tree arboretums, native forests and native birds and wildlife, and lower creeks to explore, with friendly Dexter cattle and ShetlandxWelsh horses to pet or feed. With two close Cooroy exits from the main Bruce Highway, and serviced by Queensland rail and bus stops, Cooroy is ideally central to both Noosa and Sunshine Coast popular tourist locations. A 30 minute drive to either Noosa or Sunshine Coast urban and beach offerings, with only 1 1/2 hour drive to Brisbane international airport or city centre. The cottage(s) have enjoyed numerous awards, notably Trip Advisors 2013, 2014 & 2015 Certificate of Excellence (top 10% globally) and its 2015 Greenleaders Silver award for eco-tourism. The cottages are Noosa Council approved, licensed and insured, providing and assuring your comfort and a professional accommodation experience.
The Federation cottage's distinctive feature is its extreme privacy, space, tranquillity and interaction with nature. Multiple information is provided in the cottage regarding local restaurants, places of interest, activities, area maps and travel brochures to complement your stay and area travel selections and experiences.
  • Lovely country stay with beautiful view and great location. Do nothing and stay on the property or take advantage of the lovely village of Cooroy, Noosa beaches, Wappa Dam and Wappa Falls or just explore the lovely Noosa Hinterland. Best pet friendly accomodation we have stayed at and lovely manager.

  • Had a great stay, a very nice bush setting close enough to Cooroy to duck there for groceries or takeaway. Also fantastic to take the dogs and go walking through the property, a nice safe fenced area to keep them in at night and when away too.

Magnolia Cottage is perfectly located for exploring Noosa's hinterland; the charming country town of Cooroy is just 4 minutes away; Eumundi and its famous markets and quirky pub, 7 minutes in the opposite direction, whilst Noosa River with its shady picnic spots and water activities is still just 15 minutes away, a short ferry ride, drive or cycle from the shopping strip of Hastings Street and the excitement of Noosa Main Beach. Explore further afield with easy access to the Bruce Highway and discover the townships of Montville, Maleny and Pomona, go deep sea fishing or whale watching from Mooloolaba, and for the kids, Aussie World and of course iconic Australia Zoo. To the north, experience Rainbow Beach and even Fraser Island.
  • Magnolia cottage was everything we could have hoped for - it was a great base to explore the entire Sunshine Coast (made it all the way up to rainbow beach and back - spectacular beach drive, Eumundi markets were a short drive away). Spacious house with room for multiple families and garden was fantastic for our dog. Great view from living room/dining and bedroom downstairs. Such a relaxing place to stay. Kitchen was really well equipped and we weren’t without anything when we needed to prepare meals. The multiple tvs kept children entertained when we weren’t at the beach or exploring the surrounds. Well worth the stay!

  • We have just spent two idyllic weeks at Magnolia Cottage. The cottage is very spacious and exquisitely furnished with every comfort catered for. The vistas from the cottage are spectacular and the bird life is amazing. It is a paradise for both children and dogs as the grounds are very spacious and secure. We will definitely be returning to recharge the batteries from the stresses of city living.

  • Well appointed room with seperate bathroom and entrance. The hosts Beryl and Trevor are very friendly and helpful. Their view of the area from the deck is amazing. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

We are 6-7 mins outside Cooroy, our place is private, quiet and surrounded by gardens, greenery, salad, veg & herbs and fruit trees. We believe in good old fashioned hospitality so the room is super comfy, a full country breakfast is provided with all food sourced and made locally inc free range eggs from our chooks. A car is essential but once here you’re within an easy drive to blessed beaches, great drives, inspiring walks, farmers/artisan markets, plus so many good places to eat and drink.
Your bedroom has a cozy double bed with a very comfy mattress (with topper) storage & hanging space for your clothes, towels and a private garden view. All other facilities are shared with us and the cottage is a 'work in progress', decorated in my eclectic style with art, up-cycled furniture, colorful fabrics and a lovely chilled out vibe. The kitchen is open plan with the living space and we have enough fridge storage for your food if you're traveling. Wi-Fi is available and phone reception is good.
We are semi-rural Noosa hinterland. Cooroy stays mostly green, even in the heat of summer due to it's rolling hills and gullies. Our neighbors are a mix of lifestyle properties and cattle farmers. Our property is slightly elevated and overlooks a rainforest gully, a small dam and plentiful garden planting. We have an abundance of peaceful trees to gaze at and binoculars live on the veranda to watch the many birds.
  • What a warm welcome Esther and Chris gave us! We were looking for a relaxed and ‘green’ environment to stay in for our weekend in Sunshine coast hinterlands. We booked at Esther’s place and got all of that, and a bit more. Our room was clean and well equipped, breakfast was superb. The house is in a big block of rainforest on which we had a lovely morning walk. We loved the animals around the house and the way Esther and Chris are take care of the rainforest and the wildlife on their block. We’ll definitely be back! If you want to experience Sunshine coast hinterlands, see a piece of untouched rainforest and meet two passionate people? I recommend you book Esther’s place.

  • Esther and Chris are lovely people and very fun to be at home, the house is clean and tidy, and very very beautiful !!! The house is in a lovely area with loads of trees and birds, very pleasant to leave the city and enjoy nature. The breakfasts are excellent !!! Our daughter celebrated a year's birthday and Esther was charming and made us feel just like home, with our family. We warmly recommend anyone who is looking for a special experience and a quiet and pleasant place to be in, in addition to very close to Nessuah and the sea !!!

  • Esther and her husband Chris were very helpful on check in. They took us through the house and made us feel very welcome. The house is set on a peaceful property which we really enjoyed. Especially having brekky outside in the morning surrounded by nature. The breakfast included cereal, toast, tea, coffee, bacon and eggs. There are little towns to explore close by and makes a good respite from the crowded coastal destinations which are all within a good driving distance. We will definitely be back!

    Elise2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Esther and Chris for 4 nights during a nearby training. They were very welcoming and offered great hospitality. Breakfast was easy going do it yourself and Esther baked a fantastic gluten and dairy free fruit loaf for me. As I was tired from my training days, I went to bed early and had fantastic sleeps feeling the nature around me. The room has a decent size and is clean and creatively decorated. I can absolutely recommend this air&b.

    Sandra2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, in the forest, very quiet and beautiful. Close to the coast (about 25min drive) and the Eumundi Markets (they're definitely worth a look). Esther was the most adorable host, she was super flexible with arrival and departure times and when we watched a movie all together (my friend, her and I), it almost felt like home. She also has the best cats: even if you don't fancy them so much, you'll have to after seeing hers. Will definitely ask to stay at her place again if we come back on the Sunshine Coast! Thanks again :)
