  • The Tree house is even nicer than in the pictures. The design , layout and overall feel of this place is just amazing. You can truly see the love than went into building this place. We had an amazing night tucked away in this little house ! And the outdoor bath tub is just stunning ! Thanks Murray and Susanne for the beautiful experience we would definitely be coming back !

  • Immaculate treehouse set in pristine rainforest overlooking romantic Crystal Creek. Murray & Susanne have done a fantastic job in creating an Eco friendly home in the trees. Excellent position for day trips as well as perfect on a rainy day. Everything you need for that dreamy getaway.

  • Murray & Susanne's Treehouse is the perfect getaway to get back to being one with nature. The beautiful creek, lush greenery and amazing design of the Treehouse makes this stay unique, relaxing and rejuvenating!

  • An experience I will always remember, it made me feel so relaxed and in touch with nature, to be at one with everything. Overlooking a creek, the sounds were so peaceful all day. A great refresher for anyone who needs to get away from the city for awhile. We chose to mainly use candlelight at night for our lighting, off the grid living at its best! With a beautiful outdoor toilet and bath, it felt luxurious but still very real and homely. Thank you so much.

    Luke2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely relaxing setting, was a great get away for a few days. We had a lovely time.

    Chantelle2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a rejuvenating stay at the treehouse. This spot is so peaceful and private while still being easy to find and check out places near by. The treehouse itself is cosy and easy to settle into. Murray made us feel very welcome on arrival. Nestle in with the trees and dip in the creek, you wont regret it! :)

    alex2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute beautiful house, highly recommended. We had an awesome time chilling out and swimming in the creek in front of the house. Friendly introduction by the hosts. Everything we needed!

    Linnea2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Murray & Susanne's treehouse was a wonderful experience. The accommodation was spacious and well equipped, and the surrounding property was beautiful. Murray was very accommodating, allowing us a late check out as there were no guests the following evening. We'll be back to stay again - next time for longer!

  • We absolutely loved our stay with Lisa and Andreas at the Zen Inn. Very roomy, spotless and a quiet calm place to relax after walking the lovely trails in the National Park. We enjoyed the garden surroundings at the house and the yummy lemon poppy seed bread slices that were a welcome snack. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials for making meals. The bathroom was beautiful and they soap products supplied were exquisite. We would have loved to stay for a week! Really great stay.

    Camille2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place is lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights there - the accommodation is very clean, pleasant and spacious, and the garden and surrounding area are beautiful :) The space is quite close to the main house, but it still feels quite private and Lisa is a very respectful host who does her best to make you feel comfortable. Thanks again Lisa :)

  • We have a lovely stay at Beechmont. We have two full days for walks and we use it. It should be more. Really great location and Lucy and Andreas are very helpfull. Also we see our first Koala in the nature.

    Joachim2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We so appreciated the warm welcome we received from our sweet and attentive host, the comfortable accommodation and the natural beauty of the garden and surrounding area. Because parking is on the street and is a 60m downhill walk to the dwelling, it would not be suitable for someone who has mobility challenges.

    Sue2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Andreas are awesome! They are very welcoming and made the stay very good!

  • Wow! Beautiful home, fantastic property and perfect location for a 'green getaway'. Our family of five enjoyed the lux comforts of the house and had fun around the fire pit at night. Mountain Queen was only a short drive to the start of the Binna Burra bush walks, so you are close to the activity without being stuck in the middle of it. Sue was a great host and answered our questions quickly and had a lovely welcome gift hamper on arrival. We will be back Mountain Queen!

    Paula2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely renovated Queenslander house on the door step to the national Binna Burra park. It was a pleasure to stay in the house and enjoy the back deck green setting, with beautiful bird life and watch the weather change each afternoon.

  • We had a group of 6 people staying, and Sue was incredibly helpful and hospitable. The house is immaculately clean and tidy and well presented. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was easy to use. The complimentary bottle of wine and already made up fireplace were such warm gestures. Thanks so much for this stay, we hope to come again!

    Aidan2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this beautiful house for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The place is beautifully presented, clean, and well appointed. It was a lot more spacious than we expected. The deck is a glorious place to spend time, and we spotted much wildlife and enjoyed the views from here. Even though it was raining while we stayed, the fireplace and heaters kept us warm, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed (and more) was thoughtfully provided. We had a baby with us and Sue was most helpful with accommodating our special request. We can't wait to come back!

    Mimi2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to switch off and relax, even with the kids. A beautifully restored home too. Quality from top to bottom. The kids didn't want to leave. Loved it. Thank you.

We will visit again soon!

  • Andrea & Shane gave very clear, accurate information about their fabulously designed and very comfortable home. The night time view to the lights of the Gold Coast is impressive. The air conditioners, heaters and electric blankets kept us very cosy in cold, winter temperatures. Our adult family of 6, had a really good time in the home, and a great time walking the stunning Warrie Track. Thank you Shane & Andrea.

  • Tranquility, privacy and beauty surrounded by nature at the Pinnacle on Lyrebird. We loved our stay as a couple and definitely plan to return with our family next time. The house was filled with light and colourful furnishings, inspired by the outdoors. Thank you Andrea and Shane!

    Kerry2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at "The Pinnacle" and was overall very relaxing. Having to supply our own linen and towels when paying over $300 a night is a bit ridiculous I believe, as people are coming from out of town and don't have linen with them. The spa off the main room was sensational. Sitting sipping on a cold drink while reading a book in the spa was the highlight. Overall a nice weekend getaway.

    ashleigh 2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very welcoming - responding promptly and generously to our questions in the lead up to our stay. The house is comfortable, light and airy with great views and daily visits from various bird species. There are numerous scenic short and longer walks and waterfalls an easy drive or longer walk away from the house. This was a great place to get together for a quiet family Christmas.

    Sharn2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place is amazing! Lots of space! Very clean... Great place to get away from the city and be among mother nature!

    David2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea's house is such a quiet and comfortable retreat. Perfect space for 2 couples, stunning view of forest. The balcony is perfect for an afternoon tea or a starry night. But remember to bring all the grocery and food before getting into the mountain, otherwise, there is no cafe or restaurant open in Feb. we drove 24 km back to the town to get ourselves fed:). Would love to stay longer next time.

  • This house was absolutely beautiful. The home was clean and such a wonderful property. Animals just close by which was a beautiful touch. The view can not be put into words how amazing this is. Amenities were perfect. Showers, spa and even a private swimming hole!!! Such a dream house and a perfect romantic get away or even just a countryside stay. 11/10 and 5 Star - can not tell you enough how highly I recommend this place.

  • Our family had a wonderful weekend away at Aaron's place at Natural Bridge. Absolutely beautiful location and the house was amazing! We stayed in a group and had the entire property to ourselves. The kids had a wonderful time with exploring the creek at the back of the property, collecting fresh eggs every morning and patting the beautiful horses. The giant swing chair was amazing to lay in and relax while listening to the nature around us. A beautiful place to stay. Hosts were fantastic with communication and were there to meet us and show us around. Shops are about 30 mins away so best to bring supplies with you so you don't have to venture out of this haven. I hope to come back here again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

  • Aaron was very helpful throughout the process. We all loved our stay. It is exactly as described. Quaint, quiet and unique. We had a 3 yr old who accidentally split some hot chocolate and Aarons approach was delicate and kind. Thank you so much. We have some members wanting to return again!

    Tia2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely and secluded. Plenty to do, from walking down to the creek for a swim to having a game on the pool table. We really enjoyed our stay here!

  • What an amazing place to stay!! The house was nice and spacious and perfect to accommodate our group of friends. The property was incredible and open for exploring. Otis the friendly neighbor dog made sure to escort us around the property when we ventured around. Hot tip - take supply's with you as the closest supermarket was 30 mins away. Must do - The Natural Bridge in the day and then pop back in the evening to check out the glow worms. 10/10 would visit again.

  • Aaron's place was specious and great for our family weekend. We were group of 8 adults and 3 kids but we all slept comfortably. Balcony was perfect place for breakfast and chill with beautiful farm view. Fireplace in living room kept us warm in the evening and big swing outside was perfect spot to look up to the sky to look for shooting stars. Our kids loved meeting horses, cows and chickens. The breaden was super nice and made us feel welcomed. Though we had to shorten our stay due to a problem, we will differently be back again.

Our home is close to The World Heritage Listed Springbrook National Park - so close that our property borders it on 2 sides. We think you'll love it here because you can stroll 2 minutes down the road and be on the Purling Brook walking track, the adventurous can hike the 17K Warrie Circuit, or take an easy scenic drive off mountain to all of the Gold Coast beaches & attractions. But best of all you can stay on the mountain, unwind, relax & enjoy the serenity and beauty that is Springbrook.
We built our 'modern take on a cabin' a few years ago as an extension to our home, a place to watch TV without disturbing each other and for family and friends to stay over. In 2017 we decided to share it on Airbnb so that others can enjoy beautiful Springbrook. Standing proudly on its giant steel legs and perched on the escarpment there are filtered views through the tree tops across the World Heritage Listed Springbrook National Park out to Surfers Paradise & Broadbeach. Enjoy relaxing on the cabin's private deck where cool breezes keep it comfortable in summer and sheltered in winter. (Once your booking is confirmed you will have access via AirBnB to more details about the cabin, evening meal options if required and the facilities & activities in the area to help you plan & enjoy your stay). In general: The cabin is fully self contained, it has a separate bedroom with QS Bed, an ensuite, a 'Kitchenette' with light cooking facilities, bar-fridge and pantry (with a breakfast starter kit of milk, eggs, sugar, a variety of teas & coffee, bread, butter, jam) and lounge room with an entertainment system (Foxtel, TV, DVD player and our eclectic mix of DVD's), reclining leather chairs ensure you can enjoy comfortable night in. The cabins private deck has two comfy rocking chairs to idle the time away, cushions, throw rugs, magazines and a BBQ/temperature controlled Oven. Privacy window blinds throughout the cabin can be pulled down for your comfort. We supply all towels, sheets, bedding etc for your use during your stay. The Cabin is joined by a short deck and 5 stairs to our main deck which our guests are more than welcome to enjoy, relax and take in the view (as in photo provided) as well as full use of the (larger) main deck with it's Balinese style Hut and outdoor table/8 chairs under it - at any time. The main deck is also perfect for viewing the lights of the Gold Coast after dark. (Please feel free to message me with any queries you may have re cooking facilities etc). Our garden is as nature provides, free to wander and enjoy, it is not landscaped purposely as we like it to blend into the forest below and encourage the birds & wildlife. It is a very steep property and we prefer guests to only use the decked area and the front of the property. Photography is welcomed. Smoking is not allowed on our property, we ask all our visitors including our family and friends to respect this. We do have a dog (who's super friendly), he is locked in his purpose built playpen every evening on dusk, and if guests are comfortable with him he usually has free run of the main deck during the day. We are happy to put him in his playpen if you would prefer.
Springbrook is renowned for it's beautiful walks and waterfalls, local wildlife including Pademelons, Koala's and Potoroo's as well as over 100 species of birds. We ask all visitors to take care when driving on the roads as wildlife have no road sense at all. Being a Rainforest our rainfall is much higher than that on the Gold Coast, and our temperatures generally 5-10 degrees cooler, so we recommend bringing a cardigan/jumper and umbrella just in case. We are located in a quiet no through road, perfect for rest and relaxation. Wander a couple of minutes down the road and access the Purling Brook 4K walking track, or use a section of this track for a stroll to the Dancing Waters Café - one of our favourites (along with Rosella's Café, located at The Canyon). A short stroll to the main road will take you to The Fudge Shop, Greenwood Produce Farm, The Lost Fawn Cafe, The Springbrook local craft shop and also The Observatory. There are currently no restaurants/cafe's on the mountain open for evening meals, although the Springbrook Café/Bar seasonally opens for Friday & Saturday evening meals.
  • This little cottage is a very quiet and private retreat. Furnishings are of good quality and the location and hosts are second to none. Beautiful walks close by and lovely fresh air and clear sky of the forest. It's tiny but equipped well enough for short stay.

  • My partner and I stayed here for a few days during winter wanting a quiet get away to relax and rejuvenate. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay at The Bird and Tree with Lesley. The place is a cosy little self contained granny flat with a a deck with a magnificent view over the Springbrook area. We were very impressed with how clean and well maintained everything was. Also the location of the house was a 5min walk away from the main walking track of one of the Springbrook hikes. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing get away, we highly recommend staying the the Bird and Tree. Lesley is a fantastic host and goes out of her way to make sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

    Ming2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great trip to Springbrook and loved staying in Lesley's beautiful cabin with such spectacular views. So nice to wake up to the sun coming through the trees and over the valley below. Will be recommending to any of our friends after some seclusion and naturalana.

    Alastair2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place, we would definitely stay here again. What a gem in the midst of a more rural area. Really convenient spot to check out Springbrook, or other areas nearby. Very clean, nice accommodations. Amazing view and the TV was nice too!

    Stephanie2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was amazing and Lesley was lovely. It is a perfect romantic or relaxing getaway. Everything is clean and practically brand new would highly recommend for everyone.

    Thomas2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We only had time to stay one night in Springbrook but wished we could have stayed longer. There are amazing waterfalls, beautiful natural landscapes and many native animals to see. The view from the deck is amazing, the sights and sounds so relaxing. Lesley is a lovely host and the cabin is stocked with pretty much everything you could need.

    Olivia2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Everything was as described, so close to the waterfalls and walking tracks and has an amazing view! Lesley has gone above an beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay! I can't recommend it highly enough!

    Jim2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Lesley's place. The location is perfect, the view is fantastic, it's clean and cozy and has an overwhelmingly awesome home cinema, including a huge screen and surround sound. Lesley (and her very friendly and well-trained dog) gave us a warm welcome, lots of great tips, a welcome gift, and basically did everything she could to make sure we had a perfect stay. And make sure to say appreciate the Australian King Parrots that likes to visit the deck and say hi.

  • Great weekend. Wonderful atmosphere in the church and hosts supplied all the essentials including first night meal. Thank you.

    Rob2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at St John's Church. We arrived to heavenly music and home made pasta with breakfast in the fridge!!!! Wilson made this experience unique for the five of us. It is the most individual place we have stayed in, without doubt the best of all!!! All expectation were exceeded by far. The best thing any one could do is stay there for their trip!!!! Thank you so much Wilson, it was a pleasure having our little chats, we shall miss the place very much. Love from Jim Roseann Mark Hollie and Candice

    Rosie2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Very cosy and had all that was advertised and more. Home cooked meal waiting, brill selection of books, clean and tidy, great ambience, attentive and unobtrusive hosting. Will be back.

    Juana2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just incredible! From start to finish our stay was amazing. The atmosphere of the church is like nothing else, coupled with all the special touches our thoughtful hosts had put in place, it made our stay the most memorable of all our Airbnb experiences so far. Despite some great adventures in the beautiful surroundings, I think we'd have been just as happy to stay in doors the whole time. Thank you so much for having us!

    Lucy2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Old St John's Church was a great place to stay for a long weekend getaway! It is a really eclectic, funky place. Wilson and Christine were great hosts and went out of their way to make the stay memorable. Thank you!

    Sebastian2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • A true escape from the real world - Wilson ensured the arrival was spectacular which started the whole stay off on an absolute high. The church is spectacular and has a decadent presence to it. It is decorated with gorgeous antiquities and offers complete comfort in every room. Still on cloud 9 to be honest! Cannot recommend this highly enough.

    Toni2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Church was just as described in the description. Wilson and his wife were the absolute most welcoming hosts anyone could hope for. We had dinner and many supplies stocked in the fridge ready to go. Once we arrived they came over to let us know if we needed anything to pop across the road to their place and just ask. We stayed in the church and it was a fantastic space. We were three adults and the accommodation was large and welcoming. Very eclectic inside, which matched the interesting architecture of the church accommodation. The location was perfect to explore the hinterlands and Mt Tambourine (only 25 minutes away). And every road in that vicinity was a breathtaking drive. We really can't fault the place or the host and plan on returning in the future and telling our friends! Thanks Wilson!

  • George was quick to respond to my enquiry before the trip. They put in a lot of thoughtful touches - to check that I wasn't lost when we checked in late and music was on when we arrived. Bernie was friendly and made sure we had everything we need. The house was perfectly clean with comfortable bedding, full kitchen with some food (cereals, tuna, milk, pancake mix etc) which we really appreciated and we absolutely loved the location! The purlingbrook waterfall is just a few minutes away from the house which is nice for a short walk with the whole family (young and old). We really enjoyed ourselves.

  • the dragon cottage is so nice for family trip! the location is very near the fall, the sky is so clear to see stars, and in the house there I are many things interesting for kids. I'm very happy to stay here.:)

  • Dragon Fly cottage in a beautiful setting in the rai forest. It was a thrilling ride up the mountain. We had all the visitors as well, cockatoos, kookaburra parrots, lorikeets and the possums, very exciting for a Canadian. The cottage has everything you need , clean beds comfy very relaxing. Thank you Peter.

  • Beautiful scenery, friendly possums, abundant birdlife. Relaxing.

    janeene2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a 2 night stay at the Dragon Fly Cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed and the wildlife was a highlight. The beautiful birds in the morning (for which seed was supplied) and the possums at night which we could hand feed. It really was special. We did 2 walks on the first day which were wonderful and then we did the Warrie Circuit which was 17km and simply spectacular!! Highly recommend it. We loved the entire stay so much that we will be back.

    Tracey2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is situated in a national park and it is a very special location. The native fauna and flora are literally right on your doorstep. The house itself is comfortable but not without frequent creepy crawlies. The downside to our stay was that it rained most the time and this really limited how much we could explore. On top of that our child was sick so the isolation was a little concerning.. This is definitely a place you don't want to be cooped up inside so best to stay here when the weather is nice.

    Nadia2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Springbrook. The house is located in a quiet street and close to a cafe and the beginning of a lovely walk. The house was warm on a very chilly weekend. Communication was clear and simple. The bird and possum visitors were a great treat. Great spot for a low key weekend.

    Cassie2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect location for a weekend getaway. I had no idea of the beauty of Springbrook and at Dragonfly Cottage it is all literally metres from your door. You will find yourself a part of nature as you relax on the deck which overlooks a local creek. Everything was there that we needed. Thank you for a great weekend!

    Mark2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Dragonfly Cottage! It was the perfect location close to Purlingbrook Falls circuit and also the quirky little cafes... but it was also quiet and private so you felt like you were tucked away in the forest. We really appreciated all the thoughtful, practical things provided such as bird seed, picnic set, snake bite kit, torches, rain ponchos etc. Also the cottage was cozy and clean and that lovely back deck was well enjoyed! Biggest highlight? The birds and animals... The cheeky kookaburras and cockatoos and the cute possums at night. We were also lucky enough to be visited by a couple of king parrots as well! I wish we could have stayed for longer and will definitely return!!

  • Wilson and family were friendly and warm hosts who had provided treats and extras to welcome us. Their place has a lovely view of the valley. However, we felt disappointed by the standard of cleaning and furnishings. The cottage seemed dusty and the floors did not seem clean. Our bed smelt of dog, and our friends' bed had hairs in it. The bathroom had only partially been cleaned. The kitchen doesn't have an oven. I have sensitive hearing and I found the noise of traffic driving along the ridge behind the house spoiled my enjoyment of the peaceful setting.

    Kim2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • The loveliest place imaginable. Welcoming hosts with parrot and reptile encounters. Short drive to binna burra and within good reach of o'reillies and several vineries. Would definitely stay there again.

  • We had such a lovely experience staying in the Cloud Forest Chalet. The view from the chalet was serene as it overlooks the entire forest. The chalet was stocked with milk, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, tea, coffee and a homemade pasta dish with wine on arrival. Wilson was very kind, giving and attentive to any needs that we had. Never having been to Beechmont before I was taken back by its incredible beauty and charm... I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

  • Thanks a lot to Wilson and his wife for sharing their cute cottage with us ! It was a pleasure staying at their lovely place with a stunning view. We've apreciated a lot the place, the BBQ and the front deck. We had a lot of pleasure talking to them and sharing their passion for wildlife. They are very generous persons and offered us a wonderful homemade pasta sauce, a bottle of red wine, chocolates and goodies for breakfast. We would highly recommend this beautiful cottage espacially if you like birds. They are also specialized in unusual accommodations so you can also rent a real romantic african tent or chose to stay in an Anglican church. We wish we could come back in this little heaven in the future.

  • We felt very welcome at Clouds Forest Chalet. The accommodation met our expectation....the view was amazing! The location was great for hiking in Lamington National Park and after our long treks through amazing rain forests with many beautiful waterfalls, ferns, palms, etc we appreciated our home away from home! The homemade pasta sauce was amazing plus the other extras were also great.

    Dianne2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wilson was a very welcoming host and the chalet was packed full of welcoming yummies which was a great surprise. The views were fantastic and the accommodation very comfortable. Very well located for bushwalking in Lamington National Park and the property is easy to find as on main road (which is not busy)

  • Fantastic accommodation with incredible views across Lamington and Springbrook National Parks. Wilson and Christine were the perfect hosts, welcoming us on arrival, giving a tour of their grounds - including tasters from their many fruit trees. They even generously provided homemade pasta sauce and a bottle of wine (amongst many other provisions). The whole experience quite something. Can't recommend enough and we'll be back ourselves in the very near future. See you soon W and C!

  • The house is easy to find and very well set up. The screened verandah is fabulous, and we spent much time out there. The kitchen is well set up, with everything you think you might need. Peta was very good communicating information we needed to know and replied to all messages promptly. We spent a lot of time watching the birds. They were endlessly entertaining, and often quite hilarious. King parrots, cockatoos, crimson rosellas and pale headed rosellas all visited, even demanding their breakfast seed in the morning. We glimpsed a land mullet on the first day, and a very large goanna across the road on the last day. We spent the week of Christmas/ New Year in the house. There were lots of blankets when it was cold, and then we had the fans going when it became hot. I was able to prepare a full Christmas lunch in the kitchen without problem. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing spot for our break and Peta's house fitted the bill perfectly. There is easy access to walking tracks from the house and the national park is quite beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. Peta provides books, board games and DVDs. There was even a small torch in a drawer. The furniture is comfy and the living room cosy. I highly recommend this spot for a quiet break.

  • Peta was amazing giving us ALL the details of the house & things to do in the area. The house can best be described as a "home away from home". Riverstone Cottage is a quiet and tranqil cottage situated opposite the entrance to Springbrook National Park and just a short 400mt walk to Purlingbrook Falls. You can enjoy the many bushwalks in the area or just relax at the cottage.
Riverstone Cottage was built from true round river stone gathered from the banks of the Nerang River, when materials were scarce and austerity was the only way of life. A humble, simple home which sheltered the body and nurtured the soul, is now the perfect place to remember a better time. Owned originally by a garden loving grandma who planted out the lawns with bulbs and lovingly planted Camilias, Gardenias, Michelias, Hydrangeas and May Hedge to complement the tall Liquid Ambers and Gums. Today it is an established garden which brings joy to all who play within it's vistas and stroll upon it's lawns. Here native plants happily florish with the gardens of your grandmothers day, and it is the blending of the two that brings peace to all our senses. In these throw away times we need to know not all is lost and destroyed by our consumer phase, somethings that have been protected and loved everyday are here for us all to enjoy. Situated at the entrance to Springbrook National Park and only a short 400mt walk to Purlingbrook Falls, Riverstone cottage is a great place for bush walking. Remember to bring all walking equipment e.g. hat, water bottle, map, torch. insect repellent and you can walk for as long, or as short as you wish. Many people simply wish to sit in the bush and listen to the babbling brooks and the birds, or bring an easle and paint the native plants. Others want to play the piano in the lounge room and sing. Whatever it is you want, you can get away from it all and be yourself at Riverstone Cottage. A general store is within walking distance and is open 7 days from 8.30 ish to 5.30 ish Across the road is a cafe and light meals are served from 10.30 ish to 4 ish. Within driving distance are restaurants of your choosing. On a clear dark night you my wish to indulge the, 'star gazer' in you and walk to 'The Observatory' to be in awe at the wonders of the universe . Also commonly visited are the many glow worm colonies, which are only a short drive up the mountain . Some have guided tours where you can learn all about the life cycle of these amazing creatures. Many walks with wonderful views are around Springbrook Mountain, brochures will be at the cottage. ONLY TELSTRA MOBILE PHONES WORK AT SPRINGBROOK. Remember Springbrook is a rainforest and as such has a high rainfall. Although rain maybe inconvenient, it is (like sand at the beach) part of the deal. llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Step back in time to when life was quieter and simpler, when the air was fresh and you had a moment to think. • The cottage felt like stepping back in time. Very clean and comfortable and filled with treats and surprises! Great location right near beautiful walks and the best cafe in the area.

  • Our stay at Riverstone Cottage was just perfect. Steve called to confirm the information which was greatly appreciated. The cottage was wonderful-so comfy and homely-exactly what we were looking for. It had everything from TV to DVD player, DVD collection, CD player and collection, comfy sofas, electric fire, blankets, heat lamps in the bathroom, amenities-tea, coffee, milk, orange juice.... The list goes on! The only thing is the cooker doesn't work (it's a beautiful old thing), there is a hot plate, microwave or mini oven but as long as you prepare for this you will be fine. We would go back in a heartbeat.

    Louise2014-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Steve provided good communication and the cottage was very clean and well appointed.

    Dan2014-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Steve for making our stay extremely comfortable and relaxing, we felt completely reinvigorated after the weekend. We enjoyed the charming beauty of the cottage and it's large exquisite garden, perfectly located near the Parlingbrook falls lookout. We look forward to visiting again.

  • W had a pleasant stay at Steve's cottage. It's situated at a great life location and had everything we needed in the house. Great option for accommodation to explore the area.

    Connie2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our host Steve was fantastic. He provided us with a great set of directions and made sure we arrived at Riverside Cottage which had a huge selection of information for shops, walks and local attractions. Steve was really friendly to chat to and made us feel welcome and was available by phone in case we needed any extra help or had a problem. The location was perfect and there are so many walks right outside the cottage to enjoy the stunning scenery. It was very peaceful and we completely enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself contained a lovely private garden that you could sit out and enjoy. If only we could stay longer, but will definitely come back and recommend!!

    Simon2016-07-22T00:00:00Z

Welcome, make Bluehaven home. Soak up the magic, breathe the mountain air, become immersed in the peace and tranquility of your own unique and luxurious space. Romantic and private, Bluehavens superior lodgings are a hidden respite, with expansive valley views, including the iconic Mt Warning. Be seduced by the charms of the Bluehaven seasons, nestled in rain forest canopy. Trekkers home base, a travelers place of rest, a romantic retreat. Trails, beaches, sunshine or rain, Bluehaven.
The feeling of peace and tranquility one gets on entering this amazing space is inescapable. Architect designed with views from every angle internally, the house is perched directly on the lip of the ancient volcanic crater rim, and nestles into forest canopy. Stunning views all year round, Watch hangliders slide quietly past or be entranced by magnificent afternoon thunderstorms moving towards you down the valley. Sun and moon rises are spectacular across the valley, and also views from the ocean, past Springbrook Nat park, Mt. Warning, and onto Shipstern in the Binna Burra section of the Lamington national park are a feature of Bluehaven. The north verandah looks into the local rainforest, wallabies sleep here, and bring up their young, bird life abounds in the area. From the south verandah or patio table, pictured in the main photo, you can find a spot to relax and soak in our majestic mountain sunsets. Nights are a wonderful chance for stargazing, clear mountain air and no street lights are conducive to spectacular full sky star shows. There is space in the car shed for your car to be garaged, you can walk to the local Schoolmasters coffee house and art gallery on weekends, or around the corner to local parks and waterfalls, or 400 mtrs to the jumpoff point for the hangliders. Driving any of the local roads up here is a view junkies Nirvana, and the amazing walks and views in the World Heritage listed National park are a major drawcard for travellers from the world over. Goldcoast vibe is close, renown Burleigh surfing beach is 40 mins drive, Southport and it's theme parks is 30 mins down the hill, or back on our hinterland, recommended for a visit are the quirky vibrant towns of Canungra and Mt Tamborine, which have an array of local markets, cafes, restuatants, wineries and special giftshops. The choice is yours, come home to Bluehaven.
    Village neighbourhood vibe.
  • Ian’s place is spacious and charming. It is peaceful and quiet with superb views of the Numinbah valley. It is conveniently located for exploring lamington National Park. Very comfortable.

  • Had a lovely relaxed stay. Very clean. Amazing views. Comfy lounge with fireplace. Great nights sleep is comfortable bed. Had a excellent meal at the Canungra Pub only about a 10 min drive away. Moon rise was perfect. Kangaroos around in the morning as was the Peacock. Ian responded quickly to texts very welcoming. Would highly recommend. :)

  • Beautifully presented home with incredible views to the coast and Mt Warning. Ian was not able to meet us however his communication was friendly, swift and thorough. Great place to base yourself to explore the wonders of the Lamington National Park.

  • Great view overlooking the valley with sea of cloud. You can see the sun and moon rise over the balcony or just lying in bed. Paragliders say hello to us having breakfast. What a stay.

    Rick2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ian was a wonderful host. He was friendly and accommodative, while communication was easy and key exchange was hassle free. His house has a gorgeous view that left my family and I breathless at times. It's the perfect place to wind-down and relax as his place is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. A car is definitely recommended as you wouldn't want to miss an evening drive around the beautiful mountain landscape. Edward the neighborhood peacock will often pop by and it's a always a treat to just admire this beautiful creature- especially when he has his feathers pan out. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would definitely love to go back.

    Adriana2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house and location is nicely tucked away in the mountains. Well appointed house and very clean. Surrounded by wildlife including a special friend named Eddie, the peacock, which the kids loved seeing and would follow him around all morning. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

My place is close to the rainforests, views, waterfalls and walks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the studio space in the back yard for creativity or other interests. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, art lovers, artists and business travellers.
While the guests bedroom is small with a comfortable double bed, there is wardrobe to put your luggage and if more space is required you could use another room. As well, there is a dining room, kitchen and verandah as extra living areas. It is unique in that it is homely and a way of sharing what it is like living in a beautiful rainforest area with an artist. It is not meant to be a resort style accomodation.
It is usually a very quiet neighbourhood normally with minimal traffic

  • It is the good time that we stay at Springbrook area and especially with Lynne. She takes care us( me and my wife) very well. We have very good chatting about general things and she is very friendly. We stay for two night and suitable time for us to see around Springbrook Natural Park. We recommended!!!.

  • The location was great and Lynn took good care of us.

    Joris2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • My mum and I were disappointed from our stay at Lynne's ... The room was not big enough for us to open our luggages and walk around the bed, and we didn't really get the occasion to have a proper discussion with our host. We found Lynne's place way too overpriced ..

    Amélie2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lynne was exceptionally warm and welcoming and the name rainforest retreat is apt. Her place is like an art gallery and she offered to draw my portrait for a small price but I declined. The Springbrook area is exquisite = perfect to escape city life.

    Susan2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a pleasure it was to be Lynnes first guests ☺ She made us feel very welcome and was an incredibly friendly and hospitable host. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast on the verandha, what a lovely morning view. Excellent location for lookouts and walks, what a beautiful area! Thanks Lynne

Westhaven 303A Two Bedroom Apartment is a part of the full Westhaven three bedroom apartment within the Sky Lodge complex located next to the Binna Burra Mountain Lodge. Westhaven is the top floor of the Groom Lodge building of the complex (third building from the top of the hill) comprising the separately keyed and rented: • 303A Two Bedroom Apartment - with two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, laundry facilities and BBQ; and • 303S One Bedroom Studio - with bathroom and kitchenette If guests require less space than Westhaven 303A Two Bedroom Apartment, they can consider renting the Westhaven 303S One Bedroom Studio as separately listed on Airbnb - or, if needing still more space or wanting the privacy of occupying the entire top floor of the Groom Lodge building, consider renting both 303S and 303A together. Westhaven looks north with panoramic views over the hills of the Beechmont Plateau and Tamborine Plateau towards Brisbane. The tallest Brisbane city buildings can be seen on a clear day, and their lights on a clear night. The view can be spectacular during summer, and sometimes winter, during thunderstorms, watching the lightning strikes on the plateau. The north east view includes the volcanic rock formations of Egg Rock, Turtle Rock and Ship's Stern. Further to the east can be seen the northern end of the Gold Coast with its high rise accommodation towers. Westhaven is totally surrounded by the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. Or cook and stay warm inside, with the gas fireplace. Visit the country towns of Canungra, Beechmont or Tamborine Mountain - with their surrounding wineries, restaurants, cafes and gift shops. Coolgarra is a relaxed, unpretentious house bordering World Heritage listed Springbrook National Park. We aim to provide a simple but comfortable environment. This unique home features recycled timber, big windows and a stunning stone fire place.
Coolgarra is a stand alone house in a bush setting. It is set up as a home with a fully functional kitchen, dining room, lounge room and 3 bedrooms (sleeps up to 6). Porta cot and high chair for little ones also available. Bathroom contains a shower and toilet.
  • WE really enjoyed ourselves in the Coolgarra bushouse. It is a very quiet spot in Springbrook, with its location at the end of the street, only with the noise of the waterfall in the background - perfect with preschoolers. The bushouse was even better than the photos and the description, very comfortable and cosy. The Twin Falls circuit starts a few minutes away.

    Fekete2015-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very well situated. It rained nearly the whole time we were there and really enjoyed warming up next to the fireplace. In all the Airbnb places we stayed so far linen was included and we always found basic things in the kitchen such as oil, salt, pepper, etc. this wasn't the case with this property so make sure you come prepared.

    Agnes2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our group was really impressed with the house. It's full of character and has a cosy feel with lots of wood paneling and eclectic furnishings. The large fireplace would have to be the best feature. We were also grateful for the electric blankets! The house is well located near local attractions, but feels quite remote. Although we didn't meet our host, Merridy in person, she was helpful in providing information and responding to questions via email. The were only a few negatives we experienced during our stay. Firstly, the bathroom and the toilet were connected, which made it a little inconvenient for our group of 6 adults. We found the driveway a bit tight for our vehicles, especially the narrow passageway between two large trees. Finally one of the girls had a fear of mice and was a bit taken back by the resident marsupials (which we were advised were not mice or rats but still closely resembled them). Overall, the house provided a winter getaway and we found it to be excellent value for money.

    Amanda2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at Coolgarra. Already dreaming of going back to that delightful fire place. Big thumbs up from me.

    Clair2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • House was great looking , because it is in a rainforest we used the fire each night even know it was December as very damp and a bit cold a night as there was a lot of rain . Driveway is narrow so it would depend what sort of vehicle you drive we had Hyundai Tucson which have a great turning but my son-in-law said he was glad he did not bring his ute as it has a long wheel base. all in all the house has a great feel if you like the bush it was a very up market version of our temp dwelling on our own property that we lived in while we built out house 30 years ago . We take our own drinking water wherever we go so make sure you do this if you stay as the water is only good for showers.

    Pam2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Merridy is a wonderful host. She is very easy to communicate with as well as being prompt and nothing seems too difficult. The Coolgarra Bush house is a fantastic place to escape and connect with friends and family. You're surrounded by forestry and wildlife with sounds of waterfalls on still and quiet days. If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle this is the place for you!

  • We spent a lovely weekend at Julie's comfortable and cosy home. Her generosity was evident with all the bits and pieces she made available to guests. The bed was very comfortable with quality linen and pillows. We loved sitting outside each evening with the pit fire sipping wine and looking at the moon. The bird life and morning pademelon visitors made for some beautiful photos and of course, the beauty of Springbrook National Park was just a walk away. Thank you!

  • Julie was a wonderful host and her little house was just what we needed to get away from it all! Communication with Julie was uncomplicated and to the point. I would highly recommend Canyon Cottage for any looking for a quiet getaway.

  • Julie's Canyon Cottage is perfectly tucked away, nestled in Springbrook. Superb location for hiking the next day - we did the breathtaking Twin Falls circuit leaving from Canyon Lookout (just around the corner from the cottage!) Julie was very accommodating from the day we made our booking, and made our stay in her cottage feel like home.

  • Excellent location to visit Springbrook National Park. Host was absolutely amazing, great communication. Cottage was very clean, cosy and great supply if amenities. Thank you again for beautiful place.

  • We had a perfect time away, thank you Julie. We will be back.

    Danni2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's place is a clean and comfortable one bedroom cottage walking distance from Canyon Lookout and the related walking tracks. Just around the corner is Rosellas at Springbrook a cosy casual cafe. Julie's is a private space with natural bushland which invites prolific bird life and pademelons. We snuggled in on a rainy night with some of Julie's music, then a movie from her collection whilst kept warm by the reverse cycle air con and gas heater. We found the Springbrook community amazingly friendly, we arrived with minimal provisions and Anastasia and friends at Dancing Waters swung into action and helped us sort out some food and massages. We then stopped in to Rosellas and left with some courtesy Lemon Drizzle cake and enjoyed meeting and spending time with the neighbours Andreas and Christina from Storybook Cottage. It's hard to believe we were there for just over 24 hours.........

    Mary-Ann2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway. My wife & I wanted a weekend "unplugged" and we got more than we had hoped. Accommodation - extremely comfortable. Julie even provided nice extra touches (ie. food, snacks, raincoats, additional toiletries, etc). Location - beautifully located right near the coffee shop and the starting point for Twin Falls circuit. Verdict - highly recommended. Value for money.

On arrival there was a meal already prepared for us along with a well stocked fridge. The owners live upstairs but we were left to our own devices and it felt very private. We saw fireflies whilst in the hot tub!

We were very welcomed as well, and even enjoyed a delicious homemade meal and bottle of champagne on arrival. Loved it here and highly recommend it!

  • Fabulous apartment. Loved the outdoor hottub, sauna and baby grand piano. Amazing views and 20 mins drive to trailheads at Binna Burra. Perfect for bushwalking and relaxing. Felt amazing after our weekend at Clouds. Wilson is lovely and wonderful and the pasta sauce made by his wife for us on arrival was splendid. Fridge full of groceries was a lovely bonus. Thanks so much, we will be back for sure.

  • My stay with Vanessa and Ebony was everything I needed. They made me feel so comfortable, giving me space and freedom and then being amazing entertainers as well. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and wholesome, and the house was warm (winter) and welcoming. We had great laughs and they had lots of information about Springbrook and surrounds to share. Thank- you so very much girls, Michelle

  • We had an awesome time staying at Vanessa & Ebony's. The home is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Great location - just beside Purlingbrook falls. Both of them were friendly and nice. They gave us good recommendations on what to do at Springbrook.

  • This Airbnb is amazing!! It has a wonderful location to trails and look out spots. It was incredibly relaxing and homey. We were there in November and it cooled down at night. My sister and I needed to have packed a sweater because we got a little chilly there. Everything was so great though and we got to warm up with incredible baths when we were cold. The backyard is so peaceful! I would definitely come back again.

  • Vanessa and Ebony were wonderful hosts! Their inspiring home is perfect for relaxation and being close to nature. We also enjoyed good conversations over a delicious dinner and Vanessa's massage. Ebony provided a number of tips for walks in the area (and also Lamington) based on her experience as a ranger. Perfect location for trips in the Springbrook area, which we definitely recommend!

  • I just got back home from a wonderful stay at Ebony's and Vanessa's. Their place is amazing. It's the last house in a cul de sac and it overlooks the creek below. There is a path right outside their front yard that takes you to Purlingbrook Falls. Ebby is like a Springbrook encyclopedia -- she really does know anything and everything that there is to know about the area. And she does a wonderful job at sharing that knowledge. Their place is full of soul-enriching messages. It is complemented by the girls' beautiful personality. Their energy and that of their home was exactly what I needed for a weekend getaway. I am 110% coming back. :)

  • Definitely a retreat feeling, lovely handwritten inspirational quotes and photos scattered throughout the house. Beautiful views from the bedroom and of the backyard. Great location - very close to Purlingbrook Falls and the Observatory. Although we only had brief interaction with Vanessa & Ebony, they were extremely nice and friendly.

  • This place is perfect for an escape from the urban grind. We will definitely be back to re-charge our batteries again:) What we loved most was being able to have fires inside and out, the proximity to the escarpment and Purling brook falls, the great bedding and all the tech we needed to keep our millennials content while we escaped the modern world.

Terry was so helpful with his knowledge of the local area and directed us to a nearby waterfall for a swim where we were all alone - so serene. Terry was also kind enough to lend us a backpack because we had forgotten to pack one!

Very chilly (6degrees this morning) but options of a woodfire heater, reverse cycle and 3 fan heaters have all areas of the cottage covered. Nice to be able to do a bushwalk and walk out of the carpark into the cottage property. 3 cafes within walking distance... Opening hours vary so be warned.
