Just booked in Berwick

Welcome to Whitewater Farm and thank you for checking us out!
Welcome to Whitewater Farm! My husband and I live along with our two sons (one infant and one toddler) on this property that has been in our family's hands for over 30 years. This rental is for the newly renovated loft space above our detached three stall garage. It currently features 3 twin beds, 1 full bed and 1 queen bed as well as a living room area with two couches (one is a sleeper sofa), large screen HDTV with Netflix, and VHS/DVD player. The remaining 1/4 of the space is filled with a kitchen nook featuring a traditional coffee maker, toaster oven, and mini-fridge. There is no running water in the loft, so guests have full access to the two bathrooms and one shower located inside our home, which is approximately 100 feet away from the loft space. One bathroom is on the first floor last the kitchen and the second (with guest shower) is up the steps and to the right. This access is available 24/7 and guests should feel comfortable coming in and out of our house at any point. We are so used to it and truly live by the saying “our home is your home!” There is also a working and very clean traditional outhouse located 100 feet from the bottom of the loft steps for a true farm life experience (and also for any guests who don’t feel 100% comfortable walking in/out of our house). Please note: If there are more than 2 guests, there will be an additional charge of $10 per person per night. Maximum number of guests permitted is 7 people. Keep in mind there are only 5 beds, so sharing would be necessary. Also, please note that this space is only rented out to one group (or individual!) at a time so you will NOT be sharing the space with strangers. The style is rustic but with plenty of charm. Guests should expect coffee and/or tea in the morning. Cream and sugar available. All other food is supplied by guests, but they are welcome to use the oven, stovetop, and microwave in our main house to cook meals. The loft features a mini refrigerator that is quite spacious as well as a toaster oven. Jugs of fresh water are also provided in the loft for making coffee and/or drinking. I provide you with fresh bed linens and towels for your stay. Please bring outdoor/pet towels with you for swimming in our pond or river as I ask that the ones I provide stay inside. During summer months, the windows and doors can open to provide a cross breeze and there are 3 fans available for air circulation. During the fall/winter/spring months, there are 2 space heaters and I provide warm down comforters on each bed. Bring layers for nights below 25F but otherwise the space heaters do a great job. Pets: On our property we have 3 dogs and 2 two cats that spend their time in our house and yard. They can be completely unattended whether inside or outside. The animals do not spend time in the loft rental area. Check in is anytime convenient to the guest after 3pm. Checkout is 12 noon.
Local Information: White Water Farm is located just west of the Pocono Mountain range in northeastern Pennsylvania. The nearest city is Hazleton, PA with a population just under 20,000. Wilkes-Barre is a 20 minute drive away; Scranton is 35-40 minutes away. We are conveniently located within 1 mile of Interstate 80, the main east/west route through Pennsylvania. Easy on/off. Within a three mile radius, one has access to a grocery store, liquor/beer store, local restaurants, and several gas stations. Everything you would need is in this valley. Come see for yourself how beautiful Pennsylvania can be! The closest grocery store is Goulds' ShurSave, located along Route 93. Less than 2 miles away, it is located in a shopping center that has a beer store, liquor store, pizza restaurant, pharmacy, and tobacco shop. Also features an ice cream shop and mini golf course (open seasonally). There are a wide array of local restaurants with exceptional food, including The Frogtowne Bar & Grille (located just 1 mile away), Sally's Country Inn, The Meating House, Brass Buckle, etc. Local attractions include (search online for their websites): Black Diamond Antique Mall, Frackville, PA Knoebals Amusement Park, Elysburg, PA Centralia, PA (underground burning city) Laurel Drive-In (open seasonally), Hazleton, PA Jim Thorpe, PA (historic mining town with train rides available!) Cinema and Drafthouse, Hazleton, PA (featuring inexpensive new-release movies and a wide selection of beer, drinks and food) Ricketts Glen State Park (Great hiking with the ability to see 22 waterfalls and a man-made beachfront lake at the top of a mountain!) Eckley Miners Village, Eckley PA (recreation of a historic mining town including an anthracite coal museum) Many a guest have stayed with us as they seek out one or more of the many waterfalls that Pennsylvania has to offer. This link provides a detailed map to follow and we are right along the western border of the trail: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/pennsylvania/pa-road-trip-waterfalls/
  • We loved sleeping at the farm and hope to be back again! Although we never crossed paths with Blakslee, she is a warm and gracious host.

    Andrew2014-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Blakslee is an extremely responsive and attentive host, and truly made us feel at home in her and her family's cozy and comfortable home. From the spotless room to the fresh pitcher of well water to the fresh farm eggs we received for breakfast in the mornings, our stay at the farm house was wonderful. The farm house is located in a quiet and somewhat secluded private farm road with just a few homes nearby, making it a perfect oasis of calm. Though the house dates back to the end of the 19th century, the accommodations were modern yet in tune with resource conservation and sustainability. Finally, Blakslee gave us excellent tips for nature outings in the area, a tour of the farm, and plenty of recommendations for good food.

    Anca2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was accurate - this is an incredibly beautiful spot and Blakslee was a wonderful host - welcoming, relaxed, etc. I was traveling and made the reservation last minute - it was a nice place to stay for the night for me and my dog. My dog had a little trouble with the open stairs up to the loft. Took a nice walk in the morning. Keep in mind that the bathroom is in the house, not in the loft. I would happily stop here again.

    caroline2015-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Blakslee's farm is a must stay! This was the perfect spot for my friend's bachelorette party. After spending the afternoon in Jim Thorpe, we drove to the farm and arrived just before sunset. Blakslee (and little Otis) were there to greet us with a friendly welcome and gave us a tour of the farmhouse and loft. Blakslee and her husband were both warm and inviting and their home and property is beautiful! The loft was equipped with everything we needed and offered plenty of space for 7 girls. In the morning, we took the hike around their property with the dogs as our guide and loved every moment of it! This is the perfect little getaway- our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

    Jenelle2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Blakslee was an incredible host. I was looking to learn more about the area and not only did she willingly share dinner with me, but she also wrote me a list of all the "local gems" in the area--really great energy and so easy to get along with. The property itself is beautiful! I stayed in the loft, which was one of the cooler spaces I've been in on airbnb. Such a pleasure.

    Natalie2014-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Blakslee was an absolute star. Despite a friend & I booking very last minute and turning up later than expected, we were made to feel so welcomed. Blakslee and her husband have created something pretty special... This house and working farm are picture perfect. We had the best nights sleep mid roadtrip. I'd definitely recommend spending a few days to soak up all the farm has to offer. I hope to be one day.

    Sadia2015-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay. Close to town but isolated to get peace of mind and enjoy nature at its finest. The hosts couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. If you're traveling up here, this is the only sane place to stay

    Logan2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • what a pleasant surprise. My boys and I loved Otis :-) and the tour, and the chckens, and the huge space, and the unique books, and the games....... and running thru the corn maze.... ok I know your tired of the run on sentence by now. We had a trip that will stay with us a lifetime. Thank you

  • The Potter's Bungalow was great! Tom is an outstanding host! The house is so cozy. The view from the dining room of the Susquehanna River, with the sun rising over the mountains, is perfect for that first cup of coffee in the morning. It really felt like home! The Berwick Brewery is nearby with great pizza and killer hot pretzels with cheese! Both Dianne and I loved it and want to make Potters Bungalow our regular "Home away from Home" when we visit Pennsylvania. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you again Tom for a wonderful stay!

    Brian2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Tom's house! The brewery across the street made for a great time. The brews were top notch and the pizza was delicious. We spent most of the weekend hiking at Rickets Glenn which is conveniently accessed from Berwick. My wife and I highly recommend staying here!

    Tyler2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tom is an excellent host. His home was exactly as described, very comfortable and quiet. We also loved the brew pub and pizza!

    Susan2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tom was really nice to check in with me prior hand about my arrival. It was easy to locate the bungalow. The bungalow was cozy, comfortable and clean. He walked inside the bungalow and gave us the details about internet and stuff. He was really nice. After rafting for more than 6 hours this was the best place to crash. I would definitely consider staying here if I happen to visit PA again.

    Akshatha2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience!

    Donald2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I arrived at the Potter's Bungalow after a long day of riding motorcycles on the back roads of PA. It was easy to find the house and the brewery, and it was easy to find Tom in the brewery to get the keys. He gave us a quick tour of the house and hustled back to the customers in his bustling brewery. The house was clean and well appointed with quality towels and sheets, bottled water in the refrigerator, and a beautifully updated bathroom. The pictures, pottery, and antique furniture pieces in the house gave it a sense of history and character. We walked across the street and spent the rest of the evening at the brewery where we sampled several of the 21 beers Tom brews, feasted on some delicious pizza, listened to a rock band, and hung out with some local folks introduced to us by Tom. (Tom is practically the mayor of Berwick!) He let us pull our motorcycles into one of the brewery's garages, showed us his vintage bike, and provided us with a demonstration of one the facility's coal burning furnaces. The Potter's Bungalow is a destination--go to town, enjoy all the brewery has to offer, and marvel at the mighty Susquehanna rolling by 100 yards away.

  • We could have not asked for a better venue for our purposes. Four cousins and their husbands and wives came together for a reunion 40 years overdue. Melissa provided help for the few times necessary, and we were left to our conversations and memories the rest of the time. The facilities were beautiful and spotless, the amenities provided were plentiful. The town of Berwick was 10 minutes from the driveway for the few times we needed a grocery store. The Jacuzzi and pool were open, and well maintained. The grounds were all available for walking, and we were all impressed with Melissa's "grand scheme" in bringing this property back to its original elegance. We wish her the best in her enthusiasm and dedication, and hope to return in a year or two to see the results.

    Don2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Melissa's place for a mini family reunion. We had a great time. The house was just as described and the pool and hot tub were running perfectly. The golf cart was an unexpected bonus- our kids loved going on rides around the property, which was beautiful. There were a few minor hiccups during our stay but nothing out of the ordinary, and Melissa took care of things very quickly. The rooms were very quiet too. The only negative thing to mention is the fence around the pool. It has widely spaced bars that children can get through pretty easily. This wasn't a huge deal for us, but I wanted to bring it up so that anyone with small children can plan ahead. All in all this was the perfect spot for us. Melissa was great to communicate with and we couldn't have asked for a better host.

    Christopher2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at this beautiful home, which is clean and well-kept, as are the pool and hot tubs. The view from the house is breathtaking, and the observation decks perched on the edge of the ridge make for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Melissa is an attentive, accommodating, helpful host. The home and grounds are a great space to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. Highly recommended.

    Joseph2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded and a beautiful house with an amazing view. The hosts are very helpful and accessible. All and all this is an amazing place for the price will definitely return again.

    Rich2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Just got back from an amazing weekend trip at Melissa'a home. The pictures of the home do not do it justice. The place is huge and the views are incredible! Drinking coffee on the observation deck in the morning is unbeatable. The hottubs, pool table, and tons of other games in the house had us entertained the entire time, we didn't even leave the house once the entire weekend. Thanks so much Melissa!

    Andrea2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a week and it truly is breath taking! The road as some mentioned previously is a small dirt road up the mountain but so worth it once you get to the top. The house is older but very clean and decorated nicely. I like the retro bathrooms! The sauna and golf cart to drive around the property was a nice surprise and the kids just loved it! We really enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub! Melissa is close by and if you need anything easy to get a hold of. Hoping we'll get to come back again sometime.

    Michelle2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Just got back from a weekend trip here and I must say this house is absolutely gorgeous! Melissa did such an amazing job with setting up the house and it truly felt like home. She's so welcoming and so informative! Getting to the estate and up the hill was definitely a struggle for my little car lol but other than that everything was so easy to find and access. The view from the hot tub is unbeatable at night. I was mesmerized just by sitting in the living room and staring out the windows. Overall, my group of 9 and I slept very comfortably and felt at home here. Melissa was such a great host and I definitely plan to come back here next summer for sure!

    Mansi2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place rocked! I spent a long weekend with about a dozen family members here in May, and it delivered on everything promised in the posting. Even though our weekend was rainy, we still had a blast. We made good use of the two hot tubs, roamed the grounds on foot and golf cart, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, and played pool, darts, and foosball. There are countless quirks in this house, and the view is spectacular day and night. There's something for everybody here. Melissa was accommodating and helpful when we needed her. She's laid back in the best way. This would be an awesome spot for a weekend pool party!

Have you ever wanted to experience life in a camper? Now's your chance! We set this camper up seasonally for guests (May-October). A heater is provided for chilly nights. It is placed on our beautiful farm in northeast Pennsylvania, located approximately 75 feet from our farm house where the bathrooms are located. Guests can experience a taste of camper life with the modern amenities of a house nearby.
This is a 1972 Palomino camper. We have renovated it to the best of our abilities with a true camper vibe. We absolutely adore this little nugget and are happy to share it with you on our farm! There is a small mini refrigerator located in the camper and I provide a gallon of our delicious and fresh (filtered) well water. The sink in the camper is a 'hand pump' sink which supplies limited quantities of our (unfiltered) well water. I provide coffee that can be made in the percolator in the camper on the three burner propane stove. I have pots and pans available for guests to use if you would like to bring any food to cook in the camper. There is creamer and sugar available.
The closest grocery store is Goulds' ShurSave, located along Route 93. Less than 2 miles away, it is located in a shopping center that has a beer store, liquor store, pizza restaurant, pharmacy, and tobacco shop. There are a wide array of local restaurants with exceptional food, including The Frogtowne Bar & Grille (located just 1 mile away), Sally's Country Inn, The Meating House, Brass Buckle, etc. Local attractions include: Knoebals Amusement Park, Elysburg, PA Centralia, PA (underground burning city) Laurel Drive-In (open seasonally), Hazleton, PA Jim Thorpe, PA (historic mining town with train rides available!) Cinema and Drafthouse, Hazleton, PA (featuring inexpensive new-release movies and a wide selection of beer, drinks and food) Ricketts Glen State Park (Great hiking with the ability to see 22 waterfalls and a man-made beachfront lake at the top of a mountain!) Eckley Miners Village, Eckley PA (recreation of a historic mining town including an anthracite coal museum)
  • We stayed two nights! Blakslee, Raleigh and their son warmly greeted us upon arrival. The farm is beautiful with gorgeous views everywhere you look. The camper was more than comfortable and extremely spacious inside! There is so much to do if you want, hiking, swimming, local attractions (my friend and I spent the day in Jim Thorpe and rode the 25 mile bike trail then came back to the camper one of the days) or you can relax and read and just enjoy the peaceful scenery. Blakslee is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back again!

    Kate 2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful camper by a lake. My girlfriend and I came in really late at night, but the camper was easy to find thanks to the fairy lights leading to yhe camper. I have no idea what the place is like for the rest of the year, but the abundance of fireflies make summer nights amazing.

  • This was exactly what I was looking for The camper is so cozy and stocked with everything you could need. The view from the camper is so lovely. I loved being on a farm and enjoyed the hikes. BLaksee is very responsive and helpful. I had a wonderful stay

    Karen2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a steal! The camper was even nicer than I expected it to be. It's adorably decorated and feels so homey and welcoming. The beds were plenty comfortable and the farm property is lovely. The weather was amazing and we slept with all of the canvas screens down giving us a delightful breeze through the bug screens. What a treat to go to sleep to the sound of bullfrogs and wake up to the soft sounds of clucking chickens! We had a great stay.

    Niki2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is an absolute gem. Blakslee was an AMAZING host who went out of her way to make sure our stay was more than pleasant. The beauty of their farm is endless. The camper is so spacious, extremely comfortable, and adorably decorated! It rained one night of our stay but that did not take away from our experience at all! You fall asleep to the sound of crickets and wake to a beautiful view of one of their large ponds. The farm dogs were so friendly and accompanied us on our hike guiding us and swam with us in the pond. If you're a dog lover, they'll melt your heart! Blakslee literally thinks of everything! I will definitely be returning many times to this beautiful oasis. Cannot rave about this place enough!

    Kate 2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The camper, the farm, the host... you could not ask for anything more. We are so happy we stayed in the camper. It was clean and cozy and the surroundings were fantastic. We are outdoors people so this was the perfect way to spend the night. Blakslee was so accommodating and pleasant. She took us on a farm tour and my husband got to hang out with the horses (he was a farm boy and he REALLY misses the horses). We fell asleep to the hoots of an owl and we woke to the rooster crowing. Thank you SO MUCH for such a great experience.

    Tina2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Their place is flawless. Go here for a weekend getaway from a city, that is what my partner and I did and we had a blast. Their farm animals were the highlight of our trip, in addition to the gorgeous scenery.

  • My family and I stayed at Regina's cabin for president's day weekend and the 3 day long respite from the hustle and bustle of city life was wonderful. The cottage is located on a private swath of land in the remote Pocono mountains and the setting is as bucolic as it sounds. The cottage is quaint yet modern enough that you don't feel like you're totally roughing it. The heated floors were a welcome touch, especially at night and when you've forgotten to pack your house slippers! We took a walk down to the pond on the property and saw geese and beaver dams. We even saw white tailed deer but the herd was running through the woods so fast that it was difficult to get a good look. Regina and Barry provide binoculars in the house for bird watching and the sort. There are many varieties of birds on the property and getting to drink coffee on the porch in the morning while breathing in that fresh mountain air while watching birds was a real treat. Regina also has a beautiful German Shepherd by the name of Wolf. He was definitely a highlight of our stay at the cabin (kid friendly pooch). Such a well behaved, friendly dog with kind eyes. We looked forward to playing with him as much as possible. I can not stress how fantastic the stay was at this cottage. Regina and Barry are wonderful hosts. We hope to return again soon

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Regina's rustic cabin for the weekend to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We had an awesome time. Regina was a great host, the cabin was quaint and peaceful, and we loved being surrounded by nature. We will definitely be returning in the summer time to enjoy the warm weather.

  • This place is not to be missed! If you are looking for a spot to disconnect and unwind, this is it. Beautiful, clean, comfortable home and responsive hosts. Coffee on the screened in porch is a must! (Although a glass of wine out there in the evening would be fantastic too.) The beds were comfortable and it's so quiet in the evening, we slept like logs and woke up well rested. Regina and Barry are excellent hosts and Wolf is the best!

  • What a great place this was and now that I have found it, I will not have to look for another accommodation. I stayed for 2 nights. It was short days for me. Regina and Barry go out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They are lovely hosts and I only wish it were possible to spend more time to get to know them better. I would definitely recommend the Regina's place Guest House and look forward to staying there again.

  • I had such an amazing time staying here this past weekend! Regina and Barry were warm and welcoming when my boyfriend and I pulled up and let us know exactly what to do when we pulled up. The cottage is even more beautiful in real life! The kitchen is well stocked with tools (spatulas, pots, pans, bottle opener, spoons, mixer) and has a great sized kitchen table. The living room has a comfy couch and an amazing movie collection! Waking up to natural daylight was absolutely perfect. The space outside is beautiful and we were able to take 2 walks around the property - definitely head down to the lake! It is SO pretty. We can't wait to come back!

    Gina2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts came by as soon as we arrived and chatted about the amenities (like the wood stove) and offered to light the fire. They were very sweet!

    Jess2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and isolated place. We all loved it. The kids loved the swing set and the boats and pond. Just a beautiful atmosphere to be in. The view is gorgeous and the dome house is beautiful I love it. If you are in the area and need a place to stay this is it. Very reasonable and pet friendly. Anything you need is there. Hated leaving. Thanks again.

    Mary2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • My sons and I were on the last leg of a week long trip and needed a nice place with three comfortable beds in the area of Knobels Amusement Park in Elysburg. We found that place in Regina's house. Everything we needed was provided and we enjoyed our one day there. The house is a secluded rural oasis that you can use to either unplug, refresh and renew or use as a base for sojourns to Knobels Amusement Park, river rafting or experiencing what Jim Thorpe has to offer. I heartily recommend this home to anyone staying in this area.

  • The guest house is a beautiful, well-maintained lakefront property. It has a nice open layout and was very clean! The area by the lake was wonderful--with 2 docks, a dining table/chairs and fire pit. The owners could not be kinder. If you are thinking about including the private dinner, DO IT. Valeria and Sal made this experience fabulous! We could not have asked for anything more!

  • This place is fantastic! It's a beautiful cabin that's been done with very, very nice finishes and attention to detail. Neat, clean and surrounded by beautiful forrest, landscaping and Lily Lake. I loved fishing with my oldest son right off of the dock and my wife and I really enjoyed the five course fine dining experience. The lake is quiet and beautiful and perfect for fishing (caught bluegill, black bass, chain pickerel right off the dock), boating, and just relaxing!

    Owen2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house is gorgeous! The lake is visible right from the back porch, which is great. Access to the lake is very easy. The kitchen is super well equipped so making meals there is very easy.

  • We stayed here because of the proximity to Rickett's Glen State Park. The cabins are part of the Whispering Pines Campground. One nice surprise was a free upgrade to an air conditioned cabin. This was well appreciated on the hot July night we were there. They also have access to a small pond with rowboat and paddleboat. There is a small general store on site stocking a wide variety of food and other items. It was an easy 10 minute drive to the nearby town of Benton for additional items like beer, pizza and soft serve ice cream. Overall, a restful and comfortable retreat.

  • Victor is a warm and engaging person and made me feel very welcome in his home. He has a big dog (Ikey - pronounced Eye-Key) who is even more affectionate. You get more than what is shown in the picture - there is an entire private bedroom with a working desk, a lamp and an AC. There is a small garden to enjoy the outdoors. There is a parking spot in the back of the house. And a lake next to the home. There is also good WiFi in the home. The neighborhood is pretty quiet - yet accessible. Great value for sure!

My place is close to restaurants and dining and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the coziness and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
  • Andrews place, The Inn at Turkey Hill, is a beautifully landscaped estate with rooms in the main house and also around the periphery. There is a beautiful pond and gazebo to watch the ducks and fish swim -or just to read and relax. A delicious breakfast of hot and cold food is ready when you are and it is served in the greenhouse overlooking the pond. There are two restaurants on the property, one is a casual cafe, the other a little more upscale. There is also a brewery with a large selection to sample. A farm market was set up selling incredible peaches and pastel snapdragons. This B & B is a very comfortable and secure place to stay with friends or if you are traveling alone. They are five stars all the way.

  • The house is located on a beautiful wooded location. The owner, Naheed, was there to greet us and give a tour of the house and where everything in the house was located and how it worked. Overall the house was clean and a blast to stay in. Highly Recommended!

  • Naheed was extremely generous and a wonderful host. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures if not better in real life. We all had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend others to visit this location !

  • The place was exactly as describes, beautiful upscale home for a reasonable price. Definitely considering booking again in the future

    Anthony2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing. Naheed's home is even better than the pictures can portray. Beautiful views of the mountains from every room, very spacious and cool throughout the entire house. Very convenient for grocery shopping less than 10 minutes away from almost everything you need. The decor was tasteful. The master bedroom is amazing. Grilling on the deck was truly peaceful with the great landscape. Our first day there we spotted what seamed to look like turkeys, deers and even a rabbit. Communication with the host was easy as Naheed was always a call or text away. My girlfriend and I were taken back after taking the tour around the place our first day there. It made leaving this home so difficult on our last day. I highly recommend.

  • Anthony's house is beautiful, we , a group of 13 had a great time, the house is or looks like new, clean and very organized, there is a lot of little details that make this place cozy, plenty of beds, (queen, twin) sofa beds. Anthony responded so quickly to questions. There is wifi a nice smart TV. Make sure you ask Anthony for the wifi password before you arrival. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, almost every thing that you might need. Access to the lake, easy! Shopping centers at 15 minutes. Thank you Anthony, we loved your place!

  • The house is lovely and Anthony was very helpful and responsive!

    Ania2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony was great to work with, and the house was exactly what we needed and hoped to have. We were there in order to host quite a few relatives and friends from out of the country, here for the wedding of my daughter. My only regret is that we were so busy with wedding preparation and celebration, we were hardly back at the house to enjoy it. We will be back.

    Ray2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and Anthony was very accommodating!

    Mark2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in a quiet neighborhood. The house is seemingly brand new and everything seems clean and almost unused. This being said, there were many things that were not included in the rental. We were told to bring our own towels and TP. We had to go buy our own dishwasher detergent. Be prepared to bring your own supplies. Also, renters should clarify with the owner what resort facilities will be available for use. We had some confusion as to whether or not beach and pool use were included as we were not provided the requisite resort "owners card" that provided access. The house is in a quiet location and has nice decks for outside use.

    Kyle2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, take your own stuff. Plenty of Beds, some ants but relatively nice place.

    Abhay2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony's cabin is a truly beautiful property. Unfortunately, my group and I could not stay for our planned trip. However, for the short time that we were there, Anthony made himself very available for questions. The cabin is just as the pictures show, clean, spacious and in a quiet neighborhood.

Completely private guest suite with private bath and office space in a lakefront log cabin on Shickshinny Lake. Your private, locked entrance is steps from the waterfront, feel free to enjoy a paddle in one of our kayaks, rowboat, or canoe... or if the mood strikes you, light a campfire. This property is a hidden oasis - easy access to Ricketts Glen, Art of Floating (float tanks), Morgan Hills Golf Course, Old Tioga Farm (fine dining restaurant), rock climbing, and the Susquehanna River.
The primary bedroom is a queen size bed. The secondary bedroom is a futon - reasonably comfortable, but a futon none-the-less. The space is very comfortable for 2-3... but 4 is do-able (with 2 on the futon). We do have two big friendly dogs (a Bloodhound and a Groenendael), but they are kept completely separate from your space.
Welcome to Malinka Montreux! A short version of the story of our home is provided in your breakfast area. We built our home to be welcoming, warm, fun, and relaxing. We hope you to enjoy your time here – this area more than a bit rural and it’s also a little bit magical. When you start to dig into our community, you will find a wide variety of people and backgrounds that may surprise you. Note that Shickshinny Lake is a private lake; as our guests, you are welcome to enjoy the lake, but all watercraft must be tagged / approved for Shickshinny Lake.
  • Mike and Sara were wonderful hosts. Check in was very easy. I met their super friendly dogs right away. If you're not a dog person then I suggest you use the lower entrance that leads directly to the Airbnb space. I mistakenly entered through the front door and into the upstairs living room. We stayed downstairs the entire time but Mike and Sara did invite us upstairs for some drinks. We were in the middle of getting the fire pit started so we declined and later regretted not inviting them out to the fire. Lo and behold they read our minds and decided to come out and join us by the fire and brought over a bottle of wine. They shared their stories about their background and how they designed the house and we had a very good time. The Airbnb is basically the entire downstairs space. We were a group of 3 people and it was just the right amount of space. There is projector and large screen to play movies on which was a pleasant surprise to us. I highly recommend staying here if you have a small group. Mike and Sara were the perfect hosts.

  • This is an amazing experience with so much to experience within driving distance or even just staying on Michael and Sara's property! This is a getaway that includes a peaceful, serene atmosphere with the option of an active trip including kayaking, canoeing and hiking. There are beautiful wineries with wonderful wine selections in the area as well!

My place is close to Bloomsburg University and Geisinger hospital. Also in walking distance to down town Bloomsburg. The bedroom has a comfortable twin bed, cozay and good for one person. Full kitchen is available but clean up is a must!! TV in main living room. High speed internet. Washer and dryer available for $4 each load. I do have two dogs a German Shepard and a Yorkie.
  • Great place to stay. Nice, safe neighborhood in a lovely little town. I loved the Feng Shui. The room is exactly as pictured, and the shared bath is pristine and modern. Denise offered great conversation and was happy to adapt to my schedule. Very willing to make any accommodations requested to make my visit more comfortable. Her dogs are friendly and well behaved. I would happily consider another stay when I am in the neighborhood.

  • Staying at Denise's place was a great experience. Her hospitality was first class, responses were quick, and we shared some wings. Coming off a 12 plus hour shift the bed was quite perfect to rest in. Very clean and super stylish place. Even got to meet the puppers with having two dogs myself they were cool. Very close to my place of work and I highly recommend staying here. I definitely would again.

My place is close to Rickets Glen State Park (8.3 miles), Benton Rodeo (7.8 miles), Bloomsburg Fair/ Bloomsburg University (20 miles) and Wilkes-Barre (28 miles). It is a very private and quiet setting. It is a great place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Guests from all backgrounds are welcome here.
My house is a deceivingly large space. It looks somewhat small from the front, however once inside you will not have a problem with space. An addition was added in 2009 that cannot be seen from the front. There is a full finished basement as well. OUTSIDE--3 acres of open landscaped land with fields surrounding on all three sides. There is a fire pit, basketball hoop, horse shoe pits, a zip line and a pool for your enjoyment. There is plenty of room outside for tents or RV's if you prefer to camp. I can also set up a tent inside in the basement for kids if requested. The front porch or back deck are ideal places to sit and enjoy the star filled skies and quiet nights. INSIDE: 2722 sq feet of living space. Hardwood floors, Modern kitchen and bathrooms and swirled ceilings throughout. Central air, oil and wood heat. Common areas are the living room and kitchen. Laundry is available for guests staying more than two nights. The house is a short drive to the Susquehanna Steam Plant, Mohegan Sun Casino, Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, movies (including Drive Ins), local carnivals and flea markets.
I can only see my neighbors house (barely) in the winter months when the leaves are off the trees. Other than that, I am fairly private and secluded.
  • Jamie's home is very clean and comfortable. It is a quiet and peaceful location. Comfortable bed. Jamie is friendly and solicitous. I would stay here again.

  • Jamie has a beautiful home. Very clean and comfortable. The couches feel like angels are holding you. The kitchen is very large and great for baking brownies in. The private bedroom is on the opposite side of the house of the master bedroom, so you have plenty of privacy. Jamie even provides you with a key for your room. We made a fire out back in the fire pit and looked at the stars. Our first night there the sky was perfectly clear, we could see the milky way and tons of shooting stars. His land is beautiful and well maintained. Jamie is a very gracious host. If you just want to get away from the city or whatever for a little bit, this is the place to do it. Will definitely be staying again.

  • Our stay at Jamie's was great! Hospitality at this Airbnb can't be beat. We would absolutely stay again. Easy communication/check-in... a lovely house on a beautiful property.

  • Staying at Jamie and family's farmhouse was more than enjoyable! We were greeted by Jamie's dad, who is very friendly and easy to talk to, and he gave us a tour of the house. The house has everything everyone should need! Towels, blankets, pillows, toiletries, cups, silverware, etc .. you feel like home. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with our 4 kids for a birthday trip to Knoebels. We also visited Centralia which was fun and interesting for the whole family. We really enjoyed "unplugging" from technology and enjoying each other with the Disney movies Jamie provided. Jamie also provided a breakfast for us .. bagels with cream cheese, milk, OJ, meat and cheese tray, coffee, tea. Jamie's dad also suggested a great place for breakfast on our way out which is next to the family's store and we got to meet his mom, who is a lovely lady! We will FOR SURE be staying here again. We didn't want to leave!!

    Sean2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Relaxing stay! We loved being more secluded , enjoying the quiet and being "unplugged". Hosts were very accommodating and even left some food for us. Pleasant drive to knoebels . Was a little tricky getting there as we had to arrive late night so definitely get accurate directions beforehand as suggested no cell service and recommend bringing any favorite dvds if you plan on watching movies although we were out and about the whole time. We would definitely stay here again .

    nicole2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie is an amazing host. We had everything we needed (bagels, cream cheese and coffee to boot!) We felt welcome and the house and surrounding area is simply charming. Well worth the side trip off I80....we've already talked about what we can plan in central PA to come back in the future!

    Lisa2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie's place was a very relaxing and peaceful stay. There's plenty of outdoor activities to do in the area and Knoebles grove is about 20 to 30 minutes away. It's a great place for a family or a romantic get away. Don't expect the trappings of your cell phone while you're here and enjoy the company of your loved ones. If you do require WiFi, just walk up to the fire pit and you can easily connect there. I couldn't say more about how much my fiancee and I absolutely loved the feeling of this farmhouse and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the noise of modern day life.

    Andrew2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie's house is at a very good location. The house is cute, neat and clean. When we arrived the place was all set for us, with some fresh fruits and some groceries in the refrigerator. We spent quality time with our family and would definitely recommend the place.

    Nirbhaya2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Very secluded, super clean, and comforting. There's no cell service but that didn't bother us, it was a great stay! If you stay take time To go to Pottsville and tour the yuengling brewery!

    Samantha2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rustic, but clean and well supplied. Full sized fridge and kitchen equipped with dishes and utensils met all our needs for meal prep. Full size bed (not queen) in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other were adequate. Food supplies for a simple breakfast were unexpected, but much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

  • The property is totally breathtaking, and would love to come again. The rooms, and house was cleanly and accommodating. Mary answered quickly whenever we had questions.

  • Great place to get away to enjoy the views and quiet atmosphere. The hosts were very helpful and caring. Not a place for people that spend a large amount of their time on the phone or on the internet. Also, plan your trip accordingly as there is a far drive to some main attractions. But overall great place to spend time with your family and friends.

  • Very charming farm house, perfect for our extended family. The only issue we had was with the condition of the first floor bathroom, in need of some updating and tlc. The Kids loved watching the deer in the morning and fireflies at night!

    Anne2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The whole experience was amazing and the host was just wonderful. Mary was there to receive us and show us around the house, and answer any questions we had. The house is big and has 4 bedrooms, even though we were only 4, so we didn't use the whole house. The master bedroom is the best with an awesome view. The house has a BIG lawn with a fireplace in the middle, and has a table for 4 to have breakfast. The house is nestled in trees, an apple tree, a rooster, full farm experience and the view are just awesome. We were woke up by the rooster at around 5:30 am, completing our farm experience. The only thing to note is that the house is old, but we were fine with it. For the price, this is the best value for money that I have stayed in.
