“There are three and a half miles of trails in Whatcom Falls Park. Many routes wind through the forests here, some overlooking the creek gorge and still pools. Some wind through open meadows, while others stay in deep forest. A WPA-built stone bridge greets visitors, just 100 yards from the parking area. It's a beautiful, mossy wonder that makes a great destination in and of itself, though further wandering in the park is a fantastic day outing. Connect to Bloedel Donovan Park, the Railroad Trail, or do a one-mile loop in the park by beginning in the Silver Beach Road parking area, near the stone bridge at the main falls.”

“Located on the north end of Chuckanut Drive, within the southern city limits of Bellingham, Fairhaven Historic District is known for its colorful 19th-century architecture and history. Fairhaven is a lively visitor destination and residential community. Stay in boutique lodging and walk to locally-owned shops and cafes. Many red brick buildings of Fairhaven’s Victorian-era survive in the federally designated historic district. Most of these are now home to a variety of unique local businesses, art galleries, restaurants and pubs and one of the best independent bookstores in the nation.”

“One of Lindsy's favorite breakfasts in town. Its so good in every way. I always get the #9 and a Half. YES PLEASE! Not Eli's favorite place, because he's a whiner and doesn't like a wait for breakfast... Also has TONS of vegetarian and vegan options for all our Veg Buddies who prove they are more planet conscientious than we are. But we try. ”
