“ A bit off the beaten track, Sunflower is a simple corner pub instantly recognisable by the security cage on its front door, a relic from 1980’s Belfast. While the cage is no longer needed for security reasons it has been kept and preserved as part of the city’s social history. There is a great beer garden with outdoor pizza oven!”

Entertainment
“ Belfast's oldest family-owned pub, at the heart of the city's social life for almost 100 years - it looks small from the outside but is actually a huge complex with something for everyone including a front bar with roaring fire, back bar and beer garden with live music, pool hall, nightclub and great food!”

Science Museum
“Amazing place for kids to have fun and possibly learn a few things! Easily a good half day required especially with very little ones, make sure you ask which is the best zone for the age of the children as it’s quite big and it’s possibly easy to miss bits. You get a great view of the titanic building and Belfast from the glass windows. There is an area to eat if you have a packed lunch. ”

“Guaranteed a good meal in this restaurant. Check out their menu online. They have several different locations, however Talbot Street is my personal favourite. Right in the heart of Cathedral Quarter, perfect spot for some food before you go for a few drinks.”

“The City Hall is a beautiful spot in the centre of Belfast, surrounded by the main shopping area. (Victoria Square, Castlecourt and Primark). At winter, there is a Christmas Market outside the City Hall which is very popular. The strawberry beer is lovely.”

“The Spaniard is a more intimate bar over two floors serving cocktails upstairs and a more rustic feel downstairs. The walls are covered in Christian paintings and statues and Minot sure why but it's cool to see. They do a nice dark and stormy cocktail.. ;)”

Place to shop
“St Georges Market is 100's of years old and is first and foremost a fish market, but it now serves many different types of fresh and cooked food from different parts of the world. It also has stalls selling anything from local art and pictures, to books and crafts and you can enjoy a walk round it while listening to some live music being played in the middle. A real mix of everything and a must see when in Belfast. Only open from Friday - Sunday. ”
