Recommended by Frommer's, the Stone House B&B at the Cornelis Kool House, Hurley NY, is an early 18th century Hudson Valley Dutch estate, with architectural features dating back to the original Dutch settlement of the New Netherland.
This house has a unique spirit, which seems to bring people of all kinds of backgrounds and interests together. The earliest still-existing parts of the house date from around 1710, and we renovated it extensively in 2008-10 for our B&B. In 2012 we were honored to be listed by Frommer's as one of the 9 best B&Bs/inns in New York State. On one side of the house we have been able to leave many original features e.g. the 1750s second summer kitchen with its beehive oven and cauldron that swings out, and there are wide plank floors, exposed beams and lime washed stone walls. Your private room is upstairs, with a large private bathroom just a couple of steps down the hall - bathrobes are provided. It sleeps two comfortably, and has a table and two chairs, an armoire, and two night tables as well as the queen bed.
We love this area! We enjoy being quiet and rural without being isolated, as we're only 10 minutes from uptown Kingston, 20 minutes from Rhinebeck and Woodstock, and 30 minutes from New Paltz. We're in the beautiful Esopus Valley, nestled between the Shawangunk Ridge to the south and the Catskills to the north. We're also very close to all the grand houses along the Hudson. And we're just 1 mile down the road from the quaint Historic Landmark of Hurley, with its concentration of 1700s Dutch stone houses.
  • Lovely, quaint Bed and Breakfast. Hosts were very kind. House was historic and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Not far from Kingston, Woodstock, and great hiking. Room was very clean. Bathroom was outside the bedroom, but not an inconvenience at all. Will definitely return when staying in the area.

  • The Stone House is a quaint, beautiful bed & breakfast located in Ulster County. The interior sent you back in time and waking up to a creek side view every morning was picturesque. The highlight was coming down to the most beautiful homemade breakfast including: bread, jams, granola and greek yogurt, baked eggs, fresh fruits, coffee orange juice. The house is stiuated in a prime location in between Kingston, Rosendale and the Catskills. Highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a clean comfy, quirky weekend getaway. We felt right at home at The Stone House!

  • When you are in the Catskills near Woodstock, stay here. It’s an authentic 1700 Dutch Bed & Breakfast, clean, quiet with a fabulous breakfast as a bonus thrown in.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Sam and Nadia’s house. It was so cozy and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely as was the walk down to the Esopus Creek. A short drive to Kingston with lots of great food and antique shopping. We hope to come back!

Room 1 at Rosehaven Inn offers private luxury in a 1895 historic home which has been completely restored into a 5 star reviewed property and awarded Inn of Distinction in NY. Located in a park-like setting close to Kaaterskill Falls and Hunter Mountain, your room features a gas fireplace and oversized whirlpool tub and includes a delicious, home-cooked breakfast in the morning.
  • Came here for my birthday weekend with my girlfriend and we had such a lovely time staying in Kelly’s beautiful place. There aren’t enough words to describe how great this haven is in regards to every aspect and we were genuinely sad we couldn’t stay an extra few nights. The home baked treats in the morning alongside breakfast with a great view, the warm fireplace in your cozy room with more views, the extremely comfortable bed (I have back issues and am very picky) the attention to detail from outside to inside made this such a memorable experience. Lastly our host Kelly was so accommodating, warm and hospitable, she took the time to talk with us over breakfast and tell us about all the local insider tips from hiking to restaurants. Highly recommended for a one of a kind experience.

  • My stay here was nothing short of amazing. From the minute I arrived I was treated as a friend. The house was absolutely beautiful and was as clean as a whistle. The touches and finished in the house were stunning. It felt so personable, almost like I was at home. My bedroom was bright, modernish, and had a gas fireplace with a full bathroom. The breakfast was to die for!! Super delicious and made with love. I can't wait to come back and stay again.

    Nathaniel2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • absolutely amazing escape from the city! We had a great time hiking and exploring local towns with the help of Kelly's expert local tips. In addition, she made a mouthwatering apple cinnamon gluten free bread for me for breakfast (I have celiac so am used to just missing out on morning pastries)! Had to ask for the recipe because it was so good. Between the hospitality, cleanliness and location, we will definitely be back in the future!

The Suminski Innski is a 3-storied 19th century mansion, located right on the Hudson River. A great place for writers, artists, musicians, hikers, and friends. Room 7 has a queen bed and access to a shared bathroom; fresh breakfast is provided every morning! Join us on the front porch by Hudson river to watch the sun set in the Catskill mountains, or at the patio for grill & barbecue.
This room has a full sized bed over-looking the river with a shared bathroom. Suminski Innski is a three-storied, historic house with a wrap- around porch overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains. Tons of art from local painters and photographers. Walking distance (10 minutes) to the village's 9 different eateries, bars, and bakery. Van shuttle service and tours available. Tivoli is halfway between the Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations, a twenty minute drive in either direction. A 25% discount is extended to all social workers, veterans, aide workers, care givers, farmers, journalists, cellists and bikini models.
The house is walking distance (10 minutes) from the village's 9 different eateries, bars, and a bakery. Tivoli is halfway between the Rhinecliff and Hudson Amtrak stations, a twenty minute drive in either direction. It's also a 7 minute drive to Bard College, 10-15 to Red Hook, 10-15 to Germantown, and 20 to Rhinebeck.
  • Tim offers a fascinating space. A typical breakfast around a vast table is likely to feature a fascinating group of people, both short-term guests like us and longer-term lodgers who may be associated with nearby Bard College. Tim provides an amazing breakfast; each morning his first words to me were, "A couple of fried eggs?" This in addition to the spread he had already laid out. Our first morning there, the breakfast selections ranged from smoked and salmon and avocado to bagels, granola, a huge bowl of fruit, coffee, and at least a half dozen other amazing things. Tim's is an intriguing three-storied house just across the street and railroad tracks from the Hudson River. Tim was kind enough to, without our asking, upgrade us to a room with an awesome view of the river. Throughout the house there are antiques and books -- tons and tons of books everywhere. Every wall is covered in intriguing art. Be assured that Tim's space is not Garden Inn by Hilton. A kind and calm greeting by the dear doggie-in-residence, Milmoe, suggests from the beginning that this is an intensely humane, lived-in space. Sure, there's a bit of dust here and there, and one may perhaps refrain from doing surgery in the shared bath, but these are minor considerations considering the welcome you will receive, the hospitality you will enjoy, and the intrinsic interest in simply encountering Tim, the space itself, and the wonderful people Tim's space attracts. If you are headed to Bard, the college is a 10-minute drive from Tim's riverfront. For value and an experience like you aren't likely to have at many Airbnbs, Tim's exceptional, three-storied house on the Hudson is remarkable.

  • The Inn is a lovely and interesting place to stay. Tim is a very chill host. It was one of the most relaxed check in/out processes I've ever experienced! The breakfast Tim offered each morning exceeded expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking my coffee on the porch alongside other interesting Inn guests while I read the paper and looked out on the river. Highly recommend!

    Meredith2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Highly recommended. Excellent breakfast! Tim's a wonderful host.

    Stephen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy room with feather pillows and comforters. Great pressure in shower. What an exceptional place to stay! Right off the river in an old 19th century building over looking the water. Grand porch for sitting and enjoying morning coffee and a grand piano to play at night.(not that we did this) Beautiful and provoking art throughout the Inn and very well maintained. The communication and attention to detail was great. Thanks Tim. We will be back.

    Jaime2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Suminski Innski is a wonderful place, where you will meet and converse with highly interesting people, enjoy delicious breakfasts, have a good night's rest, all in comfortable pastoral surroundings on the Hudson.

  • Tim's place is very cozy and welcoming. I immediately felt comfortable and will absolutely stay there again.

  • This building and location is wonderful. The place is laid back and there are interesting things to see everywhere you look. A truly historic building that is really well kept, clean, and homely. The room and breakfast were just right and the terrace looking out toward the river was amazing. The wi-fi worked well, there was plenty of space to park, and the coffee was good too.

  • Wonderful place, great location!

    Liza2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our family of 4. We were visiting Rhinebeck for the weekend and wanted to stay within walking distance from the town center. We were so grateful to return each night to such comfortable and cozy accommodations. Strong delicious coffee and fresh baked items were available each morning even when one of us was up at the crack of dawn. We hope to stay here again.

  • Warm and peaceful ... Perfect choice for a relaxing weekend.

    Irene2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is spic and span, has a great location to walk in to town and the inn-keepers are available, but still give you your own space and privacy. The public spaces are very comfortable to relax and unwind in. Best of all are the homemade baked goods, fresh coffee and fruit each morning! Highly recommended!

  • We can't wait to come back to The Gables Inn! Convenient, charming and comfortable, the Inn is the perfect place to stay in Rhinebeck. We loved all the small touches - fresh baked breads for breakfast, luxurious bath products, and the beautiful historic details of the architecture and interior design. Our hosts made us feel incredibly welcomed during our short stay, while also allowing us to enjoy our privacy.

Five minutes to HITS. This is an efficiency, private entrance, your own key, frig, microwave and coffee maker. This very comfortable private room with full bed, gorgeous bath, frig and microwave is also right in the Village, steps from Krause's Chocolates and Diamond Mills. A guest remarked that it was as close to a hotel experience as you can get on airbnb; and the hotel across the street charges 5-10X as much. And, the Beach! Saugerties Village Beach is public, and has great kayaking.
The house has been completely, and I mean COMPLETELY renovated. I installed triple glazed windows so it's very quiet. Also it is soundproofed between the rooms and the floors. Brand-new bathroom, hope you like it. I hope you all have read the reviews about how "sparkling" clean my space(s) are. Just to clarify, I have instituted a 72 hour vacancy of my rooms after they are occupied and vacated...then the cleaners will use alcohol, bleach and their usual cleaning products to make sure ALL surfaces including door handles, light switches, coffee maker, fridge and microwave and EVERYTHING ELSE is wiped down and disinfected. The 72 hour vacancy is to protect my guests as well as my cleaning people. The Beach, walking distance to great restaurants, galleries, Steps to Diamond Mills Hotel.
I love to walk to the beach, put my kayak in and spend an afternoon peacefully exploring the beautiful Esopus Creek. I can also walk across the street for drinks on the deck of Diamond Mills - they do an excellent Sunday Brunch. And New World Home Cooking has our local celebrity chef, Ric Orlando. He was on Chopped and...He Beat Bobby Flay!

  • I had a very comfortable stay at Pamela's house. Check in and out were a breeze. The room and bathroom were perfect for a solo traveler. Pamela is a lovely host. She was kind and welcoming. Fortunate to have crossed paths with her.

  • Pamela’s place is a great little spot with everything I needed for a quick ski weekend getaway. The single room and private bathroom are well maintained and very clean and she has even added a few extras like some dishes and utensils for quick use. Appreciate the thoughtfulness and easy process to book, check-in, and check-out. I’d highly recommend Pamela’s home for anyone interested!

  • Pamela's little guest room is sparkling clean, easy to access, and very comfortable. She was an excellent host, responding to communications immediately. And the little chocolates were an unexpected touch. Highly recommended.

  • Carols place has everything one would want for a little getaway retreat. Situated in the middle of the woods but yet so close to local restaurants and the town of woodstock you can both have some time away from it all without feeling isolated. Carol is a truly wonderful host. Together with Tara they provide a friendly welcome yet allow each guest with their own privacy. The house is absolutely stunning, each small detail is well looked after, with plenty of spaces to chill in and out of the house as well as the swimming pool. Every morning there is nice hot coffee waiting for you and a election of freshly prepared and delicious breakfast. The rooms are very thoughtfully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Each room has its unique character and style. I just loved every minute of my stay and cannot wait to go back!

    Elli2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I spent a lovely weekend at Carol’s place. We were looking for a quiet place in nature, away from our kids and the city’s hussle to celebrate our anniversary. We got that and more. Carol’s house is charming, clean, and very cozy. Breathtaking views, near town, lovely breakfast, cozy bedding. I would love to stay here again. Thanks Carol!

    Diana2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This bed & breakfast was quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so I was not able to get into the saltwater pool. But the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the white room and enjoyed breakfast on our balcony every morning watching the deer graze in the clearing. Perfect weekend getaway, would definitely return.

    Ana2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Carol is extremely sweet and thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay offering us strawberries from her garden and homemade banana bread. The pool was slightly heated and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Would definitely like to stay again.

Our hosts served tea/coffee and cake when we arrived. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, fruit, granola, hard boiled eggs. We were able to walk to our event and enjoy the village. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

    Kelly2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely house in terrific location. A cost is a bit more than the average for the area, but low additional fees more than make up for it! The room was ready when I got there even though I booked late. With a large space and the private bathroom, I was really impressed with the whole setup.

    Jeff2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • You will not find a better value in Saugerties, or indeed elsewhere. My wife and I had a fantastic stay with Joy and Dick. First of all, the transactional positives: an extremely reasonable off-season rate, no cleaning fee (which is exorbitant at many AirBnb locations), and timely communication with useful recommendations for things to do prior to our arrival. The logistics and amenities positives: a gorgeous old house, sparkling clean, easy check in, off-street parking, just a block from downtown, complimentary wine, etc. But to put this stay over-the-top was Joy’s beautiful photography displayed around the house, and the wonderful time Sandie and I had conversing with Joy and Dick! They are just beautiful, friendly people and would definitely recommend them and their house. If it’s available, we will definitely stay again next time we are in Saugerties. We couldn’t think of anything that could be improved . . . well, unless it’s that Dick becomes a Yankees fan rather than a Red Sox fan. :-)

    Tim2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A charming airbnb. They provided great recommendations to eat. Saugerties is a cute little hudson valley town. Close to other great towns to visit. Enjoyed our stay. Very nice hosts.

    Ryan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Joy and Dick are great friendly hosts. Would definitely stay again.

    Thomas2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Joy and Dick were truly amazing hosts. In addition to the well kept and comfortable accommodations, it was a pleasure to get to meet these two wonderful individuals. I would stay at their place again without a seconds thought.

    David2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Words cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience this was! Joy and Dick are like a pair of rare gemstones, and we feel so fortunate to have crossed their paths. Their home is beautifully decorated, and an ideal location! You'll have your peace and quiet, and will also be within walking distance to the adorable village with restaurants and shops. We were here searching for wedding venues, and driving back and forth to Woodstock was also very easy (about 15 minutes). The bedroom is a great size for two people, and very comfortable with lovely amenities. We loved the claw foot tub! We also really appreciated that it was well heated throughout the bedroom and bathroom. And the healthful breakfast was an unexpected surprise. Joy and Dick were the highlight of course. They are kind, generous souls and you cannot help but feel light hearted just being around them. Thank you both for the great conversations, and for all you did to make us comfortable during a hectic weekend. Looking forward to being in touch.

    Sapna2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a feeling we picked a good place when I found the house in Saugerties. When your host's name is Joy it must be good! And what a joy it was. It was a cold November night when we arrived late and were greeted by Joy's husband Dick. Our room did not disappoint! On the contrary it was warm, cozy and charming. We loved the ensuite bathroom with all the endearing original details of an old house. Joy's photographs from all their travels can be seen throughout the house. To our surprise we were served a Sunday morning breakfast and we had the most wonderful conversation with our hosts. We need to go back soon! Thank you Joy and Dick to make our stay so special.

We decided to use this as a base for a ski trip as Hunter Mountain is 30 minutes from the house!!! Clean place with a homey touch. Great for a family of 4 or going away with friends or other couples as the two rooms are close to each other with a shared bathroom in a private wing.

  • You could not ask for more wonderful or gracious hosts than Maureen and Mark. They really made this stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The two bedrooms and bathroom were immaculate and the door separating all three from the upstairs foyer provided total privacy. They also provided a great continental breakfast and on the morning we left, we all sat on the back deck and had an enjoyable chat overlooking their peaceful, wooded backyard. We arrived as strangers and left as friends.

  • Maureen and Mark are kind, generous, gracious hosts who go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable, peaceful, relaxing, and enjoyable. The bedrooms and bathroom are clean and beautiful, and the setting in the woods is serene and quiet yet close to both Saugerties and Woodstock. We never slept so well, and Maureen provided a perfect continental breakfast every morning (no matter how late we slept)! I would encourage any of my friends to stay here when they visit Saugerties. You can't go wrong.

Organic coffee and teas are included in the morning along with highspeed WIFI internet access. The home is filled with beautiful abstract expressionist paintings. This listing is for our largest and most private bedroom with a ultra comfortable oversized queen bed, high ceilings, stained glass windows, a writing desk, antique armoire and a view of the courtyard garden. The private bath for The Des Artistes Master Bedroom is not ensuite. It is at the base of the stairs and includes a deliciously strong full pressured shower with a claw foot tub While we are generally working in our studios guests are welcome to come in for a tour. In addition to complimentary organic coffee and teas we are happy to prepare a gourmet locally sourced home cooked breakfast for fifteen dollars per guest. On nice days we serve breakfast in the garden and in inclement weather guests gather around the farm table in the kitchen for breakfast. We are required to collect Ulster County and NY State tax (10%) for your stay upon departure.
There are two historic neighborhoods in Kingston: The Rondout, where we are, is nestled around The Rondout River where it joins the Hudson. A thriving shipbuilding and seaport @ the turn of the previous century, there remains a lively waterfront scene with marinas, museums, restaurants, shops and galleries all just a short walk down the hill from us. Uptown Kingston, also known as "The Stockade" district is the location of an early Dutch settlement, the first Capital of New York State and has great shops and eateries. Guests of Church Des Artistes get a 10% discount at Duo Bistro, a marvelous farm to table restaurant in The Stockade ;-)
  • Amazing converted church in Kingston, couldn't recommend this place enough! My dog Kota and I stayed there two nights and Julie and Peter were such wonderful hosts! They had tons of recommendations of places / restaurants in town which allowed dogs as well as activities for us to try out. The space is spectacular, loved the stained glass windows and all the finishings, a great place to get away.

    Kim2017-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is extraordinary! Being here was like stepping into a painting and also a warm welcoming home at the same time. Julie and Peter are wonderful hosts and people. The area made us seriously begin thinking about relocating. A treasure!

    Candace2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Peter were warm, welcoming and inspiring! Their space felt like a cross between a New England church and a Provençal cottage. The kitchen could be a movie set! We stayed in the master bedroom des artistes which was all white save for Julie's beautiful blue artwork. Perusing the library alone is worth the stay. Don't skip a glass of wine in the beautiful courtyard. Walking distance to downtown Kingston in a great safe and hip neighborhood. Most importantly, we had a great time getting to know Julie and Peter and the artistic community they anchor.

    Abbie2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 3 nights at the enchanting Church des Artistes! Our room was comfortable and lovely. The church and gardens are beautiful. Julie and Peter are wonderful hosts, very attentive and interesting to talk to. Our stay could not have been more perfect! We will be back again soon!

    Isabel2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We returned to Kingston especially for Church des Artistes. On our previous visit, somebody told us they actually moved to the city because of this place: we had to see what was all about. Our weekend in the space created by Julie and Peter was absolutely incredible! Our room had blue stained glass windows and a magnificent view of the garden. The old church kitchen where we had breakfast was something from a novel: Julie's beautiful procelain collection, an old stove, dried herbs and spices and among all, the food! We had the best strawberry pudding, shakshuka and a wonderfuly delicate salad made with zucchini and flowers. Julie and Peter made us feel so welcomed! They are fantastic, trully makers of magic and wonders through everything they create: music, potery, art, and Church des Artists itself. This was one of the most wonderful weekends we have had in a long time! We will return for Church des Artistes.

    Mara2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Romantic with a capital "R"! Simultaneously cozy and elegant, historic and fresh. See the pictures & add the smell of fresh peaches being baked into bread pudding & is that fresh rosemary in the frittata? Feel the embrace of a spa-like bathrobe. Hear the sound of the water in the pond as you enjoy breakfast al fresco. Catch the tealight candles winking at you as you return home for the evening. Simply magical! Julie & Peter made us feel we were true guests, not like some room number like we've felt in hotels. Felt at home immediately, yet ready to explore the world around us. Because of the great location, we were able to visit mansions, old towns including Kingston, Rhinebeck, and Woodstock, climb the rocks at the base of BishBash waterfalls & visit the capital at Albany all at an easy pace in just 3 days. The Hudson and mountains were constantly in our views, the Taconic Parkway hinting at its coming glory even as early as August.. We wholeheartedly recommend visiting Julie & Peter in their magnificent retreat!

    Duane2015-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Julie and Peter were terrific hosts right from the start. Even though our arrival was a bit later than we expected, they made sure one of them was home to show us around and to give us lots of information about the area both as it is now and as the neighborhood existed as it developed. Fascinating! They also had some great restaurant and shopping recommendations both in Kingston and in the wider Hudson River Valley area. Our room and private bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Julie and Peter were very warm and welcoming and we would not hesitate to stay with them again when in the Hudson River Valley.

    Karen2015-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Julie are truly warm and welcoming hosts, and made our stay at Des Artistes far beyond what we could have imagined. Their home is a reflection of them: peaceful, authentic, and full of beauty and balance. The renovated church has cloudlike beds, stained glass windows, magical studios and a satisfyingly massive kitchen. Julie and Peter had great suggestions of places to eat, and made us appreciate Kingston for the diverse and artistic community that it is. Julie's delicious breakfast waiting in the morning is completely amazing, and accompanied by easy, intelligent conversation. Special folks. Special place. Authentic experience.

  • Could post a really long article about how amazing our stay was. Just going to keep it short and say beautiful rustic atmosphere, DELICIOUS 3 course breakfast every morning (easily accommodated our food restrictions of gluten free and vegetarian), and super helpful host that Tamara was. She gave us suggestions of where to go hiking, to eat and drink, and more. Highly recommended and hands down best B & B in Kingston and probably best I've stayed at ever.

  • Words cannot explain as we had an absolutely perfect time! Jean's beautiful, unique, artistic, eclectic home is much more than photos can portray and we were so impressed by everything . Not only is Jean so warm and lovely but she is a great conversationalist. She's intelligent, kind, and so creative! One of the doors came off the hinges and she offered a 2nd room which happened to be my other option but we wanted the king size bed in the beautiful blue Asian room. I can't stress enough how awesome everything was and this has been one of my favorite experiences to date. So much more than a place to sleep, Jean provides a memorable time. I usually like to try different air bnbs but I will 100% return when she opens again. She doesn't lie when she says she's a great cook! I offered to buy her cranberry bread as my partner and I were obsessed. 5 star stay, every room is beautiful!! She provides soap, towels, conditioner, shampoo etc :) so much to write just see for yourself !

    Shantell2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • We escaped to Jean’s Bed & Breakfast after another long week in New York and it was just what we needed! 15 min from New Paltz and all the orchards. 20 min from Rhinebeck and the cute spots over there. Great hiking in every direction. We stayed in the Calming Seas - blue room and it was even better in person. The bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up in the morning. And we really want to know where she got her pillows because we want to buy them! We had the room with a shared bathroom (the red room has it’s own) and didn’t mind it. Shower pressure was perfect and hot, quickly. Hair dryer was good too. Very clean. Jean was fun to talk to but was also great about privacy. She has a cat but we didn’t see him the entire time so if that bother’s you, you’ll likely be okay. Overall, we loved it and hope to be back.

  • This place is a rare gem. The house is grand and yet charming, and very conveniently located. Malcolm was great and gave us excellent suggestions on good local eats and jazz. The waterfront, shops and restaurants are a ten minute walk away and a little breakfast at the house meant we were able to spend more time exploring local history. Overall, a perfect romantic getaway for Hudson valley excursions. Highly recommended.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Florentina's place for a weekend ski trip to Hunter Mountain, and had an amazing time. The house is within walking distance from the mountain, and equipped with everything we needed. There is a large kitchen with 2 fridges, so we had plenty of space to put the food we brought with us. The room was perfect for our needs, the beds comfortable, we just moved the 2 single beds together and that worked great. It was nice to have our private bathroom in the room, and very convenient to be able to adjust the temperature in our room as needed via the thermostat. We shared the house with a few other groups of skiers, who were really nice. There's plenty of free parking space in the back of the house, so that was also great for us. Florentina was very responsive to all of our messages. We felt at home, and we will definitely be coming back.

  • Florentina's place was perfect for me. I went there during winter to do snowboarding and didn't had a car, so it was perfect. I could walk to Hunter Mountain. Very clean and everything proper. 100% Recommended.

Welcome to the Bohemian Inn, a Beautiful Circa 1872 Victorian, with so much heart and soul that it is sure to transport you to another time and place. This countryside escape is perfectly situated at the center of Saugerties and stumbling distance to great restaurants, galleries, antiquing etc.
This beautiful pink room named after JAIPUR -the pink city- has a full-sized bed. The room itself (located on the 2nd floor) is filled with beautiful vintage finds. it's cozy and sweet-perfect for a cuddling couple or someone who wants the comfy bed all to his or herself.
The Bohemian Inn is centrally located and close to all the best the Hudson Valley has to offer. It's all about LOCATION and this location can't be beat! It's located right on Partition Street-the heart of town and a few feet away from dining and shopping. Saugerties has been referred to as one of the "best small towns" in the US. It truly is! The town is the safest they come. Filled with amazing restaurants, 2 super cool bookstores, antique shops, bars, Lucky Chocolates, galleries, shops, bakeries, a cool knitting/tea shop, coffee bars and a movie theater. Only 10 miles from Woodstock. 15 miles from Bard. Only 20 miles from skiing on hunter mountain, a 5 minute ride from the famous Saugerties Lighthouse and a short walk away to Esopus Creek and bike paths. Hiking trails with waterfalls and watering holes are all a short drive. HITS, Farmers Market, wineries, distilleries, the garlic festival, Woodstock film fest and music festivals are all right here for your enjoyment. Kingston, Phoenicia, Rhinebeck and Hudson are also all a short drive away. Don't have a car? Take the bus and I'm only five minutes away. If schedule permits I'm happy to pick you up and also take you to some great hiking spots. I love to hike, explore and make new friends.
  • Couldn’t ask for a better location in Saugerties, and the room was cool and comfortable. The check-in/out process made this impromptu road trip so easy, I wish all Airbnbs were set up similarly. Plenty of great recommendations from the host. Thanks again!

    Tom2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! In walking distance to the town and the amenities are all great.

    Luke2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and it was better than I could have hoped. As we discussed arrangements, I was immediately struck by the extent to which Stephanie was responsive, informative, and warm. She even anticipated my needs, giving me the number of a taxi service so that I could call ahead and have a car waiting for me at the bus stop. For those who prefer their hosts companionable, I can say that Stephanie was a bright and articulate, and we had a great conversation over coffee. For those who prefer their hosts to give them space, I can also say that not once did I feel that she was uncomfortably attentive or intrusive (and as I am a quite private person I am exceptionally sensitive to that). The room was clean, quirky, and very comfortable. I definitely took photos. I can't imagine that there could possibly be a more convenient location, as the house is about a block from the village (a.k.a. downtown Saugerties). I chose this listing on the sole criterion that it was the least expensive for the dates I needed; I was very pleasantly surprised to discover that there was not one thing that left to be desired! Will repeat.

    Jonathan2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie was really nice and welcoming as was her mom who happened to be there the weekend we stayed. The house and room are great and the town really cute . We had car trouble and Stephanie recommended a cab company. All ended well. Thanks for everything, Hannah

    Hannah2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here while attending HITS. Perfect location - close to show grounds and downtown restaurants. Pictures of house very representative of rooms. Stephanie was very welcoming. Have already recommended the house to others!

  • Stephanie was very easy to communicate with and responded immediately. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Everything was very clean.

    Kendall2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had brief but pleasant stay at Stephanie's! The house was lovely and adorable, we wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely stay here gain when we come back to Saugerties in the Summer.

  • My goodness. This beautiful and fully restored Victorian home is cozy, spotlessly clean, and also wonderfully decorated with period affairs. Bel is a HOST in all-caps because she knows how to do and say EVERYTHING. We didn't actually need her to even get into the place, she was so responsive by text and accessing the room was almost too easy. When we finally met her we got a warm and knowledgeable host who was so enthusiastic about the neighborhood. And her breakfast—oh my goodness Bel should start a restaurant. It was fresh and delicious and just like if your best gourmet friend had decided to treat you after a too-long period of not seeing each other. That good. Stay here!

  • Bel's Inn is breathtaking - truly an experience anyone visiting Kingston much try. Bel's Inn has been around for 14 years -- though Bel recently joined AirBnB. I'm so glad she posted this on AirBnB, and that I didn't miss out on staying at this beautiful historic home. It was built in 1856 -- the oldest place I've ever lived in. I remember walking into her dining room and my jaw dropped at the gorgeous decor, vintage and antique placements, cabinets, and hand carved wooden floors. The bedroom was equally as charming, and the bed itself was SUPER comfortable. The mattress and bedcovers were very high quality, and Bel provided ample blankets and pillows. The next morning, Bel cooked us a delicious breakfast, with orange juice, coffe, eggs, bacon, and yogurt spread. She was a lovely host and very attentive and communicative. I appreciated hearing her story, as she's put a lot of love into this home.

    Lucy2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Bel's Inn for my parents as an anniversary trip and due to an unforeseen circumstance on our end, they unfortunately were not able to make it to the inn for their stay. Although I didn't get to experience the Inn, Bel was absolutely amazing during the process of booking! She responded extremely fast to any questions I had, she was very attentive in making sure their stay would be amazing and I have no doubt my parents would have had a wonderful time there! The Inn looks beautiful and I will absolutely be booking in the future when I visit the area!

  • Suminski Innski is a great option for staying in Tivoli! The house has a ton of charm, full of art and books. Tim provides a great breakfast every morning and sitting out on the front porch with a warm coffee is a delight. The short walk to town is worth the peaceful vibes and great view of the mountains and river. We shared a bathroom with a couple of other rooms but it was never a problem at all.

    Abby2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The huge front porch with its beautiful view of the river is fabulous! The house holds its charm of years gone by with its beautiful high ceilings and moldings. Our stay was brief but we hope to return some day. The train whistle at night was quite loud so if you have trouble with that it might not be your kind of place, otherwise it’s a charmer.

    Wendy2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I was in Tivoli for a couple of days for a wedding so my wife and i stayed at Tim's. What an amazing house and incredible vibe. This house has bags of character. I would definitely stay again. Thanks Tim for a wonderful stay.

    Joseph2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • First things first: my room was sparkling clean and my bed was super comfy. There is a gorgeous view of the Hudson. I had the best time here! It’s a quirky space, for sure, and everything is old, artsy, and semi-boho feeling. There are interesting things to look at in every room. For example, there are a ton of books, a fishnet leg lamp, and a very old (working) juke box. Sometimes old things don’t look as clean, but everywhere I checked was very clean. Breakfast was amazing, customized and plentiful. There were sparkling waters and snacks out all day. Tim made Campari and grapefruit juice cocktails after dinner. All of this was just part of the included hospitality. Maybe I just got lucky, but all of the other guests were awesome and fun to interact with. I was on my own (my daughter was dancing at Kaatsbaan) and ended up staying up late into the night (/morning) chatting with guests from Ireland, New Zealand, England and Germany, as well as Tim, some local college students and a couple of young yogis. There were some repeat people who just loved being there. I’d go back, too. Outside at the outdoor table, smoking/vaping can be a thing, so if you’re sensitive to that, you might sit elsewhere. If trains bother you, there is one nearby. If you are pretentious or uptight, this probably isn’t the place for you. Tim is a warm, thoughtful, friendly, zero-bullshit kind of guy, and he doesn’t seem like the type to put on a show for anyone. If you are interested in something unique and fun, with an awesome bed, a tasty breakfast and a great crowd, you will absolutely love it. Make sure you hang out with Tim, too!

  • Truly a hidden gem and an amazing place to stay, situated in a picturesque small NY town. A warm and cozy bed and breakfast with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, full of eclectic art, music and literature to view and peruse. Tim was a perfect host. Whole-heartedly recommend a stay here, we wish we had stayed longer!

  • My husband and I had a very short stay, but felt very much at home with Tim's hospitality and kindness. It was nice to get to know some of the other guests as well while sitting on the porch enjoying the gorgeous view of the river and having breakfast or afternoon tea.

  • Tim’s place was an amazing old mansion, filled with beautiful fine art and literature and interesting old furniture. He drew from such a wide variety of interesting guests so not only was this a comfortable place to sleep but a total experience. My daughter and I met wonderful people, hung out late st night talking with them and then ate breakfast with so many new great people with unique stories. I wish we had time to stay longer and will definitely be back. The area is stunning, the town is so charming with a great bakery. I could go on and on. Tim is so kind and generous and put out a fabulous breakfast spread.

  • In an era of homogenization and corporate take-overs, the Summinski Innski is a unique oasis of warm and genuine hospitality. A beautiful view of the Hudson from a gorgeous front porch, elegant rooms that speak of by-gone times, and a generous breakfast contributed to a very positive visit (and vibe). Clearly, it's THE place to stay in Tivoli for travelers of every stripe. Thank you, Tim!

    Karen2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and great hospitality.

    Zachary2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tim is very welcoming, and a very good host. I want to give a straight and honest review as I saw some negative reviews and I want to properly address them. Tim’s place has a lot of shared space. If you aren’t open to hostels you probably won’t be comfortable here. If you’re expecting the Ritz, it’s not here. Could it be cleaner, yeah, but he has created a cozy and comfortable environment that allows you to really unwind and relax. We really enjoyed our visit and our stay, and it’s nice to wake up and come home every time to hearing your name and a welcoming smile! Thanks Tim!

    Darren2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Innski is exceptional in many ways. Tim's hospitality is top notch - he put together a lavish brunch and brought live musicians here. He is also a delight to talk with. The space is unique and beautifully designed with art everywhere, antiques, comfy beds. As other reviewers mentioned there is a constant flow of interesting people passing through and the Innski has a very communal feel where you can get to know others. Although it's very socially vibrant I also find it surprisingly peaceful here - the big trees surrounding, the river, the spaciousness. I could not recommend more highly and plan to be back soon.
