Bar
“The oldest inn still in business in Beaconsfield dating back to the 16th century. Today the interior has been tastefully modernised retaining much of its original character, and there are still many genuine original timbers which were discovered during renovation work. These include an archway, currently standing in the bar, which is thought to be around 350 years old and probably formed the gateway to the courtyard for the coaches. There is also an excellent example of a dragon beam which supported the corner of the overhanging floor.”

“Visiting the Old Town in Beaconsfield is a must if you are staying in town. It has beautiful old architecture, St. Mary's Church is very pretty as is this pub/restaurant's Tudor style building. It may date back as early as 1242 according to Beaconsfield History website. As well as a traditional bar, with real ales, it is also a restaurant too - booking recommended. Got a nice contemporary mixed with traditional vibe going on.”

Pub
“On entering the White Horse you will be greeted by a bar well stocked with local ales, fine wines and an array of gins and whiskies (amongst the usual suspects). A light and airy garden room beacons you from the back of the building where you can sit and dine, basking in sunshine without the inevitable British nip in the air.”
