Natural Feature
“A top rated beach on many international lists, West Bay Beach is known for its powdery soft sand, and snorkeling in the calm turquoise water. There are restaurants & beach bars all around, and most of the time you can use the loungers if you buy your drinks there. If not, you can still take your beach towel & lay out close to the water. A must-visit in Roatan.”

Supermarket
“They serve lunch at Eldon's during the week in the deli department and you can get a taste of local food for a very reasonable price. They start serving about 11:30 and run out of food fast. There is a great fish store at Mega Mall in French Harbor towards the east end of the island. Try the Hog fish. Delicious! Traffic moves slow on cruise ship days so any trips up east are best on days without cruise ships ”

“Great local pub-fare at a reasonable price. Live music most nights, dive-shop on site, gift-shop, life-size jenga and the best of all; Monday night movies. On the beach or in the dining area. 6pm-Kids movie (+free popcorn) 8pm-Adult movie. Great wait-staff too! Try the Roatan Dip. Also, crab-races are sure to please the whole family! Bet on a hermit crab, win the race and win a prize! All prizes are donated by local businesses and all funds raised go to help local families affected by HIV.”

Student Center
“We always go there when we go to West End. Vincent is a great cook and the food is reasonably priced. The bar is an adventure - be flexible, since you might order one thing and get another. Views to the water up on the deck. Nice spot! Be sure to park in the lot outside West End- very little parking these days in West End itself.”

Park
“Love this gem of a Park! Featuring a little bit of local history, pirate stories, Capuchin Monkeys, beautiful birds and a lovely garden stroll, it's fun for the whole family, or as a shady escape from the beach. Offering its own beachfront, pool, garden, gift shop and lunch spot, you will be thrilled to spend a few hours here! The Monkey encounter will surely be the highlight!”

“Never had a bad meal, always excellent. Service can be iffy but holler their name and they come running. We had excellent service the last several times we were there. I recommend the Seafood Skillet for seafood lovers. Huge and delicious! The mixed ceviche is very good also. A very cool setting and atmosphere. ”
