Batavia Vacation Rentals

Just booked in Batavia

We have up to 3 available bedrooms in our home, each with a queen bed. Book 1 room or all 3 for larger groups. Your stay with us will be a peaceful retreat in a 5 star luxury setting. Our lovely neighborhood is a short walk to restaurants & shops.
Our cozy, quiet home is centrally located in the Fox Valley area. Our suburban neighborhood is a close walk to both Geneva & St. Charles. Both gorgeous villages have many festivals, quaint shops, restaurants, pubs, movie theater/cinema. To visit downtown Chicago, there is a local train which runs often throughout the day. Saint Charles is a wonderful place to visit and have fun. We actually feel as though we're on vacation every day! It’s a small, trendy river town with amenities that appeal to everyone: biking, running, walking, hiking, golfing, horseback riding, kayaking, wine tastings and incredible shopping. At night, have a glass of wine and restore yourself with a fabulous meal at one of our city's many celebrated restaurants, bars, clubs and local theaters…all literally minutes away. Saint Charles was voted the "best town to live in and ranked number one in the United States" by Family Circle Magazine. We offer a continental breakfast each morning, as well as water and chocolates in each room. We have high-speed wireless Internet throughout the house. You are welcome to use our refrigerator if you bring your own food. Parking is available both in the drive and street side. Other amenities are linens and towels, bathrobe, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, lotion, iron, ironing board and fan. We’re empty-nesters who love to welcome guests & travelers from near & far. Hope you'll check us out!
Great neighborhood - very safe!! Location is 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and just blocks from downtown Saint Charles, IL & downtown Geneva, IL
  • 3 female friends stayed at Craig and Theresa's home for a 4 night/5 day conference. All 3 of us ladies were first-time Airbnb'ers, and we absolutely LOVED our experience! Communication with Theresa was clear, prompt, and easy. Their home was warm and welcoming, clean and spotless, and simply perfect. Both Theresa and Craig were generous with their time and space, and were so fun to talk to! They made sure to have coffee ready for us in the morning, and were so authentic in welcoming us into their home. We all agreed that the best part of the conference was coming "home" to our Airbnb. Theresa was so thoughtful- she added every amenity to the bathroom and bedrooms to make your stay comfortable and effortless. We will be forever grateful for their generosity and warmth, and would definitely recommend their property to anyone staying in St. Charles, IL!

  • If you have read all of the reviews for this airbnb, I am going to repeat a lot of what has already been said. First, the house and neighborhood are beyond charming. Beautiful home with a backyard overlooking a gorgeous park. The town is quaint but hip with wonderful dining options. The real perk of this airbnb is Theresa and Craig. I just got home after 5 nights and I'm grieving. I feel like I just left my family even though I came home to my family ;) I was attending a 5 day training - which was outstanding - but I equally enjoyed my time with Theresa. I hate coming back to a small hotel room at 5 pm after a conference and being bored to death until bedtime so I chose this BnB. Theresa has this magical ability to give you as much privacy as you want or as much company as you want. She and Craig repeatedly went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out throughout the week and I am beyond grateful. They are a wonderful pair who embody generosity and friendship. They are spreading goodwill throughout the world, one guest at a time.

  • This was our first experience with airbnb. The home was even more lovely than the pictures. The hosts were gracious, friendly and so anxious to share in our experience. The reason for our visit was to attend baseball games at Fifth Third Ball Park. The home was convenient to the baseball park and to places to eat dinner. Our hosts were helpful in planning our day trip into Chicago, and unexpected trip to airport and places to eat.

  • This was one of the most satisfying AirBnB experiences I've had. Craig and Theresa are warm, lovely people who have a beautiful home in a sweet walkable neighborhood. The house is immaculate and very well-appointed. They made sure we had everything we needed, were available and present, but also did a great job of giving us space. They eagerly helped us with transportation and groceries, which is not an experience I've had before with a host. Thank you again Craig and Theresa!!

    Rebecca2016-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A great experience with a family in the suburbs of Chicago!!! Besides being a beautiful, quiet and very safe place, both Theresa and Craig are very kind persons and they ensured we had all that we needed, including personal attentions that gave us the feeling of being part of their family. The appartment is even better than the pictures. I definitely recommend this option to anyone who is looking to know the advantages that the suburbs could offer to the guest.

  • What an incredible experience! My family stayed with Craig and Theresa and they were treated so well! The home was beautiful and just as pictured in a lovely neighborhood close to many amenities. The communication leading up to the stay was superb. We knew exactly what was expected of us and they went above and beyond to make my family's stay most exceptional! We hope to use them again anytime we have family in town :)

    Shayna2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Theresa and Craig were warm, welcoming and very laid back. Their house is gorgeous, well-decorated and cozy. There's beautiful natural light, a bright atmosphere and, for a production company, there are many different looks. Would definitely recommend Theresa, Craig and their home to production companies looking to shoot and those looking for a lovely home and hosts to spend some time with alike!

    Anthony2014-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was the first time we used airbnb and were not disappointed. A beautiful, clean and comfortable house in a quite location. Most important of all, Theresa & Craig are really nice hosts. We enjoyed the time we spent with them talking and knowing each other. They truly make you feel at home. 5 stars!

  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it couldn't have been more perfect. Kim responded quickly to all my questions. The apartment immaculate and beautiful! It was located in an established neighborhood with beautiful stately homes. We will definitely rent from Kim in the future.

  • We were in town to visit family and there just isn't enough room for everybody at Grandma and Grandpa's house anymore. This was a beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable retreat at the end of each busy day. The home is decorated so nicely and has everything you may possibly need for your stay. Internet is fast and the desk provided was perfect for the days when we each worked. The host was always available for anything we needed but we also felt that we had our privacy, the perfect balance. We've stayed AirBNB at locations across the globe and this was the best. So sorry we somehow broke the toilet paper holder in the bathroom!

    Chad2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay and exceeded all our expectations. It was exactly as described and very clean and tidy. Our host was charming, and even offered to transport us if we needed. When we visit this area again, this would be our first choice for accommodation and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

  • I used this apartment to host my own guests for Christmas while we were visiting from out of town -- my husband is unfortunately allergic to my parents' dog. I'm from the Chicago suburbs, and it was so nice to not have to stay in a hotel! Kim is a wonderful host! I really can't say enough good things about this place. She was so accommodating and understanding. It was clean, Kim was kind and responsive, and there was even a decorated Christmas tree in the living room. 5 stars across the board.

    Erin2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place was nice, clean, and very comfortable. The location couldn’t be better, located only two blocks from town. We walked everywhere and every day and it was wonderful. I would have given it five stars, but it did not have a full length mirror anywhere. Two girls traveling need a mirror! We highly recommend this place.

    Sue Kellerman and Paul Maness2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • First off don't bring anything but your clothes...Kim has everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. Seriously the kitchen was the best equipped of any apartment we've stayed. The bed is extremely comfortable with quality linens and pillows. The towels and washcloths are as nice or better than most folks have in their homes. This apartment is in outstanding condition. It is obvious that a great deal of pride and attention has been invested in keeping the apartment in top shape. It is the first airbnb apartment that I didn't perform some kind of repair to during our stay. It has a tremendous amount of space for two and with the daybed a couple with 2 children would be quite comfortable. There is great light in the apartment and the neighborhood is wonderful. There is off street parking at the apartment; however it might be tricky for some. During our stay there wasn't enough space to turn around in the drive, so you either backed out into the street or backed into the driveway. That said the street isn't very busy so this is minor issue. We are already considering our next visit...way too many great restaurants and more than 60 miles of biking trails yet to be checked out.

I am creating an airbnb account for my two lovely parents, who are empty nesters for the first time in thirty-two years. We, myself and my five siblings, were blessed to be raised in the quaint city of Batavia, IL, which boasts river paths, close proximity to a train station that will take you into Chicago, and historic neighborhoods such as our own. Our property consists of two homes, our own and a coach house, which we would love for you to stay in! Both are situated on a family-friendly old-fashioned alley with mature maple trees. The coach house has two floors. The downstairs has a table, desk, and kitchen (unfortunately there are no coaches). The upstairs has loads of windows and four twin beds (a bunkbed and two singles) in a large, peaceful room. A bathroom is situated right off of it. It is not the most glamorous place, but it more than gets the job done. My mother works from home and should be able to address any questions or concerns you may have. We thank you and wish you a pleasant stay regardless of where you choose to stay the night. All our best.
  • A great place to stay! Wonderful hosts, home and overall experience! Would love to stay here again!

  • Timothy and his parents, Mary and Mike, are amazing hosts. The house is in a quite neighborhood and we felt right at home. The services and amenities were great and we absolutely enjoyed our stay . It's not far from Chicago and our drive to-and-from was decent. Lots of parking space and the market plaza is no more than a 3 minute drive. Loved their hospitality and their guest house is amazing to stay at. Being their first guests was a pleasure for us and we'd definitely go back to their place whenever we're in the area. Thanks Mike and Mary and hope to see you soon!

Private suite in a large house that is situated on a quiet wide lane in a great subdivision. It is close to the Northwestern Metra train (goes straight East into downtown Chicago) and nearby suburbs of Naperville, Geneva and St. Charles. You will be in your own private guest room with attached bathroom on the second floor of the house. The guest room is large (250 sq ft.) , carpeted and comfortable with a high quality queen sized sleigh bed. Your window opens on the front garden and trees. The bed room has lots of light with privacy shutters, vaulted ceiling, ceiling fan and a on suite full bathroom. There are also quite a few drawers and a large walk in closet for your things. It includes high speed WiFi and in-room TV with DVD player as well as clean towels and basic toiletries. Amenities include linens and towels, bathrobe, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, lotion, iron, and fan. There is a double sink and private lavatory and shower with a great Water Pic shower head. The house is a very spacious and quiet 4,600 sq. ft. estate home in a great area of Batavia IL..On the first level there is a large kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, plates and glasses are available to guests) and also a laundry room is available if you have some things to wash. It is easy walking or jogging to the park or prairie from right out the front door. In summer there is a large private pool and tennis courts that is exclusive to Tanglewood Hills residents and can be used by our guests. You are welcome to enjoy the lovely garden deck with its peaceful views of the backyard and Prairie.. Secure private parking is available in the wide driveway in front of the three car garage attached to the house. I have two Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers (Taxi and Samantha). They are super well behaved, hypo allergenic, and do not shed. Although it feels like the country here (and the air is great!), a couple of turns down the street and every conceivable store and restaurant can be found on Randall Road. We are in the Fox Valley which is also called the Tri-Cities (Batavia, St. Charles and Geneva are the three and joined together) Head south about five minutes and you can pick up Interstate 88 which is a straight shot into the heart of downtown Chicago through all the western suburbs. Five minutes to the train station if you would rather take a train downtown. Pheasant Run Resort and comedy club, movie theaters and a lively local downtown are minutes away. We are about 45 minutes from O'hare airport (ORD) and about 75 minutes from Midway (MDW) airport. The major cross streets are Randall Road and Main Street (Batavia) if you are mapping it.
Wide clean streets and beautiful majestic homes throughout the subdivision. Little traffic and all sidewalks lead to the walking path, woods, playground. Private pool and tennis courts (exclusive to the subdivision) available during open season.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Steve's huge house. His description was accurate. Very comfortable bed and we found Steve to be a thoughtful, generous host. Heartily recommended.

  • What a beautiful home Steve has and in a nice neighborhood. Way more comfortable and quiet compared to hard hotel beds and noisy neighbors at 5am! Steve was very accommodating and we also enjoyed the antics of his two dogs who were very friendly. It was nice sitting on the back deck to have a drink and just relax. We will be back to stay again when we're working in the surrounding area again, even if it's an hour away from our work like this time. Thanks Steve :)

  • Steve was most hospitable in this big house with two lovely dogs who were glad to see me. Great walking trails among the oaks and prairie in a quite subdivision close to services, grocery and other parks. Very pretty spot and great views. Steve was very generous with coffee and fruit, too. Thanks much.

  • Steve greeted us at the door and carried in our luggage. He outlined house rules, showed us tea& coffee making facilities. Then he showed us upstairs to the two large bedrooms with connecting bathroom. Steve lives in a quiet neighbourhood which is accessible from a major road. Steve has two dogs which he handled well. The dogs quickly became accustomed to our presence(URL HIDDEN)

  • Had a great time at Steve's place. The guy is a true gentleman, very helpful and just plain pleasurable to be around. I almost feel like I own him one, above what I paid him, because he took such great care of me. A stay at Steve's will make u not want to stay at a hotel again.

  • I cannot begin to describe how great my stay with Carol has been. The hospitality show to me was beyond any expectations. Carol offered me everything from breakfast to transportation. It is a beautiful home in a very upscale, private and quiet neighborhood. Where else can you be greeted by the friendliest black lab, Stella, that you have ever known. Beautiful, quiet, newly renovated 2-story townhome duplex in a great location in a quaint historic town. Walking distance to downtown that includes an art center, gallery, restaurants, farmer's market, museum. 2 blocks from the library. 1 1/2 blocks from the Fox River, with miles of beautiful bike paths along banks. 1 block from old stone quarry that is now a spring-fed sand-bottomed swimming beach. 5 minutes to commuter train to Chicago. Perfect for a family vacation or a quiet work trip.
The space is newly renovated and has a brand new very comfortable king-sized bed in the master bedroom. Free wi-fi makes this a a great stay for a working trip.
Batavia is in the beautiful Fox River Valley- an area of lush green bikepaths, the Fox River, home of Fermi National Accelerator Lab. We are across the street from a unique swimming pool that is an old quarry, filled with sand. A block away is a historic hospital that Mary Todd Lincoln stayed at after her husband was killed.
  • Our first visit to Chicago.. Chose Rebecca's house as it's the nearest to Chicago Premium Outlet. You can't ask for a better host. She went out of her way to help us with transport. The house is clean and everything you need is there. Rebecca lives next door which makes it easier for us. All 4 of us enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended! Thank you so much Rebecca.

    Adelina2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was very flexible with checking in and checking out. My wife and I and another couple stayed here overnight for a wedding that was only 15 minutes away. It was the perfect location! Rebecca communicated very well via text messaging. She communicated about parking (her husband was doing some work on the asphalt) and we had no issues. Highly recommend if you're in need of a place to stay in the area.

    Drew2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca's place is very homey and comforting. She had all you needed including food to make for breakfast! If I needed anything she answered right away and her place was central to all things. Very clean and nice!

  • Excellent location for walking to shops, in neighborhood. Comfy beds, open 1st floor nicely decorated, all kitchen facilities needed, very convenient. 1st floor half bath good to have, very nice 2nd floor fullbath, excellent shower. Will Use again when in the area. Very good value!

    James2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca was very communicative and friendly. We were just passing through for the night and she was very easy and flexible with check-in. The place was very clean and roomy and perfect for our needs.

  • You cannot beat this location, walking distance to tons of great restaurants and walking/biking trails. Rebecca and Lane are wonderful hosts, very helpful, flexible, and thoughtful. You truly feel like you are home - from the coffee and milk to the comfy beds, it was just a perfect place for us to stay.

    Christina2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca and her husband were wonderful hosts. They were very welcoming, provided great info upon arrival, and lots of helpful recommendations throughout our stay. All amenities were as described, and then some. A great place to stay while visiting the Batavia area. Highly recommended.

    Keith2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was super cute. We really enjoyed our stay. Batavia is a neat little town and there was a good restaurant selection within walking distance. There are a lot of parks to visit and lots of good walking paths. We also enjoyed the shopping that was less than 10 miles away. Very quiet, it was perfect for our girl's weekend.

  • Gayle was a great host! She was very clear and helpful during our communications before the visit. Upon arrival, she was very welcoming and informative. She was also in touch throughout the visit just in case we needed anything. Her house is clean, cozy, comfortable, fully stocked with cleaning/cooking supplies, and styled beautifully. We truly felt like guests in a beloved relative's home. I stayed with my mother, sister, brother and baby niece and we loved it! It was the perfect place to stay while visiting with family and we will absolutely be back for our next visit in a few years. The location is great, easy to find and located near lots of great shopping and dining options. The backyard is beautiful and there's plenty of parking in the driveway.

    Ashley2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place has far more space than it looks like. The downstairs is especially a great space for both relaxing and for kids to play! We were there during some hot days and that area was nice and cool without any need for air conditioning. The property is beautiful and it was great to just sit and enjoy looking out over the pond and take walks around it. The kids loved it as well! The only minor negative I would say is that one of the rooms doesn't have any window in it. It's still a very nice room, but it doesn't meet the requirements to have 2 ways to exit in order to call it a bedroom. It worked great anyway, but I think it's something people might want to be aware of when considering staying somewhere. Overall we loved this place. We were surprised at just how much space there was and how beautiful it was. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Chad2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Best fall tree scents and bright windows in morning sun light. Very quiet.

    Caleb2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, well-kept, peaceful home with a great layout for those who want to be together, yet have privacy. Gayle was perfectly invisible, yet accessable and felt like an old friend after just a couple of texts. The property has a hotel style "kitchenette" with only a microwave and mini-frig, but this is more than adequate as there are many amazing breakfast places around you, so you won't want to cook! Enjoy!

    Mary2017-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • It was a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Pretty pond in the back, cottage chic decor.

    Shawn2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Gayle's place for 3 nights for my wife and I, our 2 month old, and my parents. It was the best place I could have gotten. Gayle is a super host. She was very responsive and made us feel comfortable from the first minute to the last. Her property is truly amazing, it feels remote and private even though its only minutes from a shopping and food. Surrounded by old trees, a pond, and a 200 acre preserve! The upstairs part has a living room that was so peaceful to hang out in and read a book, with comfy furniture and rustic unique style. There is a minifridge, microwave and coffeemaker tucked in the corner; a full bathroom; and a bedroom that looks only into the naturescape with large windows. The downstairs is more recently finished and includes two very 'easy-to-sleep-in bedrooms', a TV/living room, and full bathroom. There are toys around for the little ones and plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy. The house is perfect for families, multiple couples, or people who just want to unwind in a secluded natural environment. 3 miles from DT Batavia and 7.7 to DT Geneva.

    kyle2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This space worked great for the 7 of us, 3 adults and 4 grandchildren. My wife and I slept upstairs and the kids and our daughter were downstairs which had a great kids play area, tv, bath, and two bedrooms. Since the children were small one of the queen beds worked well for them using the sides as the head and toe of the bed. Gail greeted us upon arrival mid-evening with the key, showed us around, offered to go to the store if anything was needed. It all went very well for us!

    Steven2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gayle's home was perfect for our weekend stay. We walked the property and enjoyed the pong and ducks. Communication was great before and during our stay. Thank you!

We arrived later on our first day and Jill was quick to accommodate us. In addition to a wonderful pie, Jill also had other snack and breakfast items ready for us in the fridge. We would definitely request Jill again for future trips to Geneva!

    Allison 2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • This home is gorgeous on the inside and out. The homeowner has added special touches throughout the home to make her guests feel welcome and special. It was comfortable for our family of four to stay here over the weekend. Jill was accommodating and available to greet us and answer any question we had. Jill also made a delicious pie that we really enjoyed. I highly recommend this home if you are planning on staying in the area!

    Sarah2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay at Three Beds and a Pie. I can not say enough about the location, the property, the hospitality of the host. Jill welcomed us to her beautiful home and gave us recommendations for restaurants and shopping. This was a ladies weekend and we enjoyed Third Street shopping/dining in adorable Geneva (walking distance), sitting on the back patio, enjoyed the screened porch in the evenings. The back opens to a beautiful yard with bunnies running around and squirrels and birds. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Now, what to say about the pie?! Jill left us a lemon meringue pie. It was FANTASTIC! We ate every last piece of it. I can not say enough about the cleanliness of her home and Jill has not left out even the smallest detail in being a gracious host to her guests. We will absolutely be back again to enjoy the area and this beautiful home.

    Theresa S2016-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jill is a fantastic host. She provided all the comforts of home including delicious breakfast and generous snacks, a lemon meringue pie, toiletries in bathroom, beautiful linens, immense closet space and hangers, full use of a large well appointed kitchen. The house is superbly located in an upscale neighborhood, with quick access to both historic downtown and to Randall Road, with all its shopping and affordable restaurants. The views from the house are beautiful looking over the expansive green yards. Our group of three enjoyed sitting around the breakfast table drinking delicious coffee and marveling over the cool kitchen. The interior design of the house is contemporary, clean and spare-with each day it felt more and more like our house. The 2-car garage is orderly and neat beyond any garage I've ever seen. I can't imagine a better Airbnb than Jill's house.

    Cat2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was nice knowing that our arrival time was unknown and she was able to meet us last minute. The apple pie she made was amazing and we particularly liked the lattice work! The house is like a museum, we wish our home looked as nice.

    ben2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable house in a good location. The house is very much as described and does indeed include a delicious pie. Our family party of six had plenty of room to relax and hang out. Jill is an excellent host and we all enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

    Kevin2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly located in Geneva ! The house was even better in person. Jill was very welcoming and accommodating , and who doesn't love a home made pie!?!

    David2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jill's home is beautiful, newly renovated and very very clean. The back yard is peaceful, with a screen porch, where we enjoyed our morning coffee, and in a quiet neighborhood. All the conforts of home including some fresh food to enjoy. Jill is a warm and welcoming hostess. Would definetly go back.

Warm, inviting, artfully decorated home just up from the Fox River and Prarie Path and just minutes from downtown Geneva and St. Charles. Easy access to Metra commuter train to Chicago and 45 minutes from O'hare International Airport. The house is fully furnished and you will have access to the shared kitchen and laundry as needed. I reside on the lower level of the home with my loveable Golden Retriever, Maizy. (I use a private entrance as much as possible when guests stay)
It is a well furnished and decorated space with all the comforts of home. If there is something you need that you don't see, just ask. Happy to help however I can!
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. An eclectic mix of houses and friendly neighbors.

  • Great house in a safe, family neighborhood. Claudio and is a welcoming, friendly host. The space is clean, comfortable, and filled with a nice collection of books and furniture. Claudio went out of his way to create an environment where a visitor can relax and unwind. The cottage is close to everything you'd need in the St. Charles/Geneva/Batavia area. Highly recommended - I'll be a repeat guest!

  • I was Claudio's first airbnb renter. He was an incredible host. He helped me with information on how to get to his place and was very kind enough to give me rides around town whenever he could. The place was very clean and they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and welcomed in their home. I would definitely stay with them again and recommend them to anyone looking to stay in the Geneva, St. Charles area. They are very close to the cozy downtown Geneva with great restaurants and shopping.

  • This is indeed a cozy cottage! Claudio and his wife are so welcoming. The downstairs is so cozy that you feel like you are in your own home. The bed is super comfortable. We had just the right amount of privacy. But, at the same time we got to know our hosts. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in the area.

  • Good house for a short stay. I had a longer stay in the house (1 month) For a longer stay the house would need some tweaks to be done to be perfect, it's mainly older appliances issues. Otherwise , I enjoyed the location with an easy excess to the Fox river park. Can walk to either downtown Geneva or St Charles from the house in 30 min -neat ! Very nice cozy leaving room and pretty good functional kitchen ( I cooked every day ). The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate any needs I had!

Located 5 minutes from downtown Geneva and the Third Street shopping district. Five minutes to Metra station with easy access to Chicago. Beautiful area with many parks (one right next door!) and bike trails and excellent restaurants. Bring your dog and let him enjoy our big fenced backyard. This is our home and it's "lived in," but it's clean and comfortable and we will do everything we can to make your stay stellar! Happy to answer any questions.
Our home is conveniently located close to downtown Geneva. It is next door to a lovely park and just a short walk to a park with a playground. This is our home and is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. You are welcome to use our cooking utensils and dishes. There is one California king bed (Sleep Number) and one queen bed. We have three sofas and plenty of floor space for a blow up mattress. Our home is dog friendly!
Geneva is a popular tourist destination with its scenic location along the Fox River and numerous shops and restaurants. There is an extensive bike trail system in Geneva including portions of the Fox River Trail and the Illinois Prairie Path. Geneva has an active historical society, the Geneva History Center, located in downtown Geneva as well as the Fabyan Windmill, an old Dutch windmill dating back to the 1850s. In 2013 it was nominated by Bloomberg Business Week as the best place to raise a kid in Illinois.
  • Kristy was away when we arrived, but she had someone ready to meet us and get us settled into our new home. The house was very clean and spacious! Plenty of room to relax after a day of playing in the snow :) Kristy was in contact by phone almost daily to check on us and gave us info on some great local places to visit. She even made sure we had a sled available to enjoy the nearby sledding hill. The house was stocked with everything we needed from cooking pans to shampoo! A great laundry area also. The house is very close to town and there's a park next door! Great hosts that enjoy AirBnB themselves and know how to provide a great AirBnB experience for others.

    Marie2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Kristy's place. We did not have the opportunity to meet Kristy but communication was very easy and prompt. A friend of Kristy's checked us in and gave us a very thorough tour of the house - showed us where to find extra towels and blankets, how to use the TV and thermostat, and even salted the icy driveway and walkway for us before she left. We were staying over Christmas and wanted to have a space to cook and rest after all our family festivities and Kristy's place was just perfect. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced yard. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, and a cozy basement with a big TV. The neighborhood is safe and central - quick to downtown Geneva and the Metra train to Chicago. Highly recommend this place for anyone sharing time between the suburbs and the city. Thanks Kristy!

We were there for a horse show and only a few nights put loved the convenience of the location and St. Charles in general. We will definitely be back!

  • Jodi was the friendliest Airbnb host! We had a wonderful stay in her cozy apartment. We had everything we needed and Jodi went above and beyond, leaving us yogurt, juice, coffee and even a box of biscotti. We were traveling with our little boy and, having just ended a visit with her granddaughter, we came back at one point to find Jodi left a basket of age-appropriate toys for our son to play with. I appreciated that she was hands-on and thorough while being just as friendly and sweet as can be. The apartment is even better than the pictures--lots of light, comfortable, clean, very nice bed and there is plenty to walk to. The area is very safe and nice. Very glad to have found this place and would love to stay here again!

My place is right in the middle of Geneva and St. Charles. It is very close to parks, coffee, shopping, nightlife, and restaurants. You’ll love my place because of the location, the views, the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups.
Two bedrooms with 1.5 baths. The master bedroom is locked and not available. There is a closet in one of the two bedrooms that is locked. The house has 1 full bathroom with a shower and a half bathroom on the main floor. There is a dining room, full kitchen, additional carpeted room, full basement with ping pong and washer/dryer. There is a nice patio with a patio set with lots of room in the backyard. 2 bedrooms with a double and a full mattress. There is a large sectional couch, 1 large leather couch and 1 smaller fabric couch (good for kids). The carpeted room can sleep an additional 3 - 6 people.
Gorgeous neighborhood with large trees all around.
  • Great location in a very nice neighborhood! The house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I didn't get to meet our host (Matt) in person - but our communication was very easy and friendly. I would highly recommend this location to all other travelers!

    Fabienne2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Matt is a good host. The house was very clean. There were plenty of extras in the kitchen and pantry. Nice playroom with ping pong table in the basement and a big screen TV in the living room and good Internet service. The house has one double and one single bed. I suggested that these might be upgraded for better comfort.

  • Great place for a long stay: we did spend 2.5 weeks there with our new born son and got comfy very easily. Good wifi, fully equipped kitchen, nice beds and it was cosy despite the cold outside. Very quiet and residential area. FYI: it is a good 10-15 minutes walk to any nearby shop, so don't forget anything when you go shopping (or take a car) :-)

  • Joyce was very organized and thorough. Amazing hospitality, my friends and I spent the evening for a special celebration. My best friend engagement!! I highly suggest Joyce and her amazing home. I would totally come back again.

    Vincent2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible home. Beautiful elegant / antique furniture in every room. Lovely garden and beautiful sun room. Really enjoyed the basement - perfect mancave. No issues checking in or checking out. Joyce did stay at the house - which makes sense to me, as beautiful and luxury as the house is. But I'm not sure if that was communicated when making the reservation - we rented the whole house . So if that makes you uncomfortable, you should be aware of it and ask beforehand. There was no interference with our stay there though. We'd stay there again.

    Sean2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Joyce is very accommodating and very helpful. She was willing to work with us and was so nice! The space is amazing too! Highly Recommended.

  • Beautiful space close to everything. If you’re looking for a quiet place near everything in Chicago’s western suburbs, this is it. We had our board (seven men) stay for a two day working retreat. Guys loved the space and we had a great time. Quiet, beautiful home. The porches and patio were great for night time hanging out. Near golf, walking trails, and restaurants. Joyce was helpful and invisible. We’ll be back.

  • We stayed at Joyce's place while horse showing at lamp light in Wayne. (25 min) This is a high end place in a great neighbourhood , walking/jogging paths, golf, lots of greenspace. The house is luxurious, furnished to the nines and impeccable. Joyce was a wonderful host and we looked forward to coming "home" every night. Great restaurants in Batavia or St Charles all within 10 min drive. This house needs to be respected and treated as if it's your own, it's a big leap of faith on the hosts part to allow strangers into this great home. Not cheap but definitely great value for money !

    Burk2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM JOYCE/THIS PROPERTY. PLEASE CONTINUE TO READ - I intentionally selected 'entire home' when booking this venue for a professional retreat. 'Whole house' listings are those where the renters have the whole space to themselves for the duration of the rental. Airbnb confirmed that the owner/rental staff are not to reside in the space during the stay- this would be a 'private room' rental, not 'entire home'. Joyce made it clear during our walk through at check-in that she would be staying in the home that evening. I immediately called her to try to get her to adhere to the rental agreement. She spoke in circles for 20 minutes and I held firm. She finally said, "I will try to be out by the time you get back from dinner". When we got back we noticed she kept the office and 2nd floor bedroom locked. Odd, but ok, as we did not need every room. At 2am (all of our team was still awake partaking in the retreat) Joyce appeared at the top of the staircase, trying to gain entry into the locked bedroom next to us. We all screamed out of fear, as this was completely unexpected and she is a stranger to us. She then walked into the room we were in and said "I couldn't sleep". It is my opinion based on that statement that Joyce was trying to sleep in the locked office on the first floor of the residence. We gathered all of our things and ran out of the house at 2:30am. We had to drive 40 minutes to a hotel and book $320 worth of hotel space for us to stay. Joyce refused to issue a refund. We did not get the benefit of staying in an airbnb that evening, but she wanted to keep our money standing firm that she could also sleep in the 'entire home' listing we booked. It is my opinion that Joyce wants to advertise this home as 'entire home' so that she can charge the price for 'entire home'. She then bullies the renter into allowing her to stay, as she knows it is inconvenient and sometimes impossible to find arrangements last minute. This is not a bed and breakfast - that is not what I signed up for. If you're looking in the Geneva area I would continue to keep to looking. Until Joyce becomes honest about her booking, this rental is not worth the headache.

  • Cindy and Dennis have a wonderful place. My wife and I chose to stay there since we love to bicycle, and St Charles is bicycling heaven. There are wonderful trails right along the Fox River, and the Illinois Prairie Path is nearby as well. The room, with a very nice private bath, has a separate entrance that leads out to a patio and lovely gardens. The Fox River is only a couple of hundred yards away, and numerous shops and restaurants in downtown St Charles are only a couple of blocks away. Chicago is also nearby, and we loaded up our bikes and headed down to the lakefront for a wonderful ride during one of the days of our stay. Dennis was very friendly and accommodating to any and all our needs, including to safely store our bicycles in their garage. If ever back that way we will stay there again.
