Vacation Rentals in Basalt

Just booked in Basalt

You'll love the gorgeous Frying Pan Valley and the sound of the river from our lovely mother-in-law apartment, located on the lower level of our classic Colorado A-Frame with separate entrance and plenty of privacy. 1-BR, 1-bath with murphy bed in the kitchenette.
Come experience the Roaring Fork Valley's best kept secret! Located just 24 miles north of Aspen, near the quaint streets of historic downtown Basalt is the Frying Pan valley, where the famed gold medal waters of the Frying Pan River meander through dramatic red rock spires and steep mountain hillsides. This cozy 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment features a decent size bedroom/living area with queen size bed and large sofa with a queen size sleeper bed. The second room is a kitchenette with a super comfortable Murphy bed for extra guests. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower and is stocked with basic necessities in case you forgot something. We provide a ton of clean linens and towels. Enjoy a large private deck with gas grill surrounded by the steep forested hillside and lush terraced gardens that provide peace and privacy. Wi-fi, cable TV, and furnished kitchenette provide all the comforts of home. We live upstairs with our pug and 1 year old son, so you may hear us walking around, but there is no door connecting the two units and the lower level is very private. Our classic Colorado A-Frame home is located five miles from downtown Basalt across the street from the Frying Pan River. Behind the house are the magical Seven Castles, a series of dramatic red rock spires that tower over the valley. Access the 7 Castles hike and climb a series of waterfalls from our back door. Located just one mile from a big horn sheep refuge, wildlife outnumbers humans in this quiet little mountainside hamlet. Up valley you'll discover an endless outdoor playground, beginning with the shores of Reudi Reservoir popular for boating, fishing, camping, paddle boarding, and picnicking on the scenic beaches. From there, continue on to Chapman Reservoir where motorized boats aren't allowed--ideal for kayaks and canoes. Easy access to White River National Forest and surrounding wilderness provides infinite possibilities for hiking, hunting, snow mobiling, cross country skiing and more. Discover Colorado's authentic side in Basalt, where the quaint downtown street is packed with shopping and dining that rivals what you might find in Aspen for a fraction of the price. From our location, you can have the best of both worlds with easy access to remote wilderness and all the amenities Basalt has to offer. Buses to Aspen run every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. from downtown Basalt. Enjoy a true Colorado getaway with all the amenities of Aspen at a fraction of the price. Ask us about fishing guide services that can grant you access to the private waters of Seven Castles Bend, located right across the street. We are happy to provide any information or guidance you need to plan your stay. We look forward to having you at the Margo A-Frame! Ali & Ryan Margo
We live in a beautiful, rural area on a dirt road where the wildlife outnumber the people. It's a little busier in the summertime, when there are cyclists pedaling by, fisherman in the water across the street, and boat traffic heading up to Ruedi Reservoir, 9 miles up the street where you can go boating, paddle boarding, jet skiing, fishing, swimming, and more. The house is located close to Frying Pan Road, so you can hear cars driving by, but it's also across the street from the river, so you can hear that, too. It is very quiet at night.
  • We had a fantastic stay at the A-frame! It is so beautifully secluded and peaceful. The rental unit below, where air bnb-ers stay, is private and has its own patio! We loved having breakfast out there listening to the river. We had no cell service (att) but didn't mind that at all! Basalt is a precious town and we enjoyed eating at Two Rivers Cafe suggested to us by Ali and Ryan. We also went on the hike they suggested, on a "secret"- feeling trail to a waterfall. We had a BLAST on that hike and it wore is out so well! Highly recommend. The place was comfortable and clean and had super neat dimming lights that were perfect for reading before bedtime. Keeping the windows open to hear the river was excellent, as was the heated bed! Loved our trip!

  • This place is amazing, secluded and stocked with everything you need for a weekend getaway. They were great host and we had a wonderful time! Definitely recommend the place

    Steve2013-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The lower-level apartment is everything we hoped for - private and relaxing. Ali & Ryan left out Hiking Guides for us that we were able to peruse and get an idea of what was available around us. This is a great place for a weekend getaway; very close to Aspen as well.

  • Thank you Alison and Ryan! We had a great time staying in your beautiful home. You guys made it so easy to check in and out as we felt very at home. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay surrounded by mountains and wildlife then you should definitely check this place out. I would love to go back when there's less snow so I can hike and fish. Again, thanks for the hospitality!

  • The Margo A-frame was the perfect base for our three-day stay in the Rockies (Maroon Bells and Glenwood Springs were two easy day trips from there). The accommodation was cozy and it was lovely to eat outdoors for every meal. The backdrop of the Seven Castles rocks was just stunning - an unbeatable view!

    Catherine2015-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed! Our Hosts were delightful and helpful!

    Cheryl2013-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The Margo A-Frame was just what I was looking for! It was a clean and relaxing environment with all the essentials. The large porch was one of my favorite parts. I would highly recommend this home!

    Amelia2015-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place! Well organized (even I could figure out how to use the grill on the huge deck!), and located near stunning views and hikes. Alison made excellent suggestions for things to do on Monday morning when it looked as though it would rain all day. In the end, we hiked to Hanging Lake despite the weather, because she said clouds would make it cooler. Needless to say, the sky cleared anyway, at least for a good bit of the time. We would have loved to explore the hiking behind the house if we had had more time. Beautiful valley with gorgeous rock formations.

This cozy studio is on the first floor of a duplex built by our son's grandfather. It is freshly renovated, and completely private, though we do share the same front door into the foyer (we live upstairs). We are a five minute walk across the Old Swinging Bridge to the shops, restaurants and galleries of historic downtown Basalt, and an even shorter walk to Gold Medal fishing at the confluence of the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork rivers. Just a 25-minute drive or bus ride to Aspen!
Queen bed with fresh linens, "Smart TV" with complimentary Netflix and Hulu (and/or any of your streaming media apps), WiFi, table for meals and/or to be used as a workspace, two closets, shower/bath. Kitchen includes toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge, two-burner stovetop, plus dish- and cooking-ware. We provide coffee, tea, bagels and other treats. One parking space is available. Endless scenic trails for hiking and biking add to the quiet appeal of this old mining/railroad town, nestled in an expansive valley with breathtaking mountain views.
Basalt has so much to offer by way of adventure, history, dining, shopping, and art. There is a history walking tour with bear-print stamps along the ground showing you where to go, stopping along at information plaques that tell stories of the town's past. You can see an authentic log cabin from the 1800s, and giant old brick charcoal-ovens that have been preserved. There is a beautiful lake called Ruedi Reservoir only a 20-minute drive away, and lots of parks and trails surrounding the town. Basalt mountain is a dormant volcano, named for the basalt rock of which it is comprised. Learn more about the area in the brochures and magazines we'll leave for you in the studio!
  • Clean, close to town and very comfortable! This was a great place to stay!

  • This is one of the best airbnb rentals we have ever stayed in! Yanika and Eric have a cute, centrally located duplex- walkable to Basalt and a short drive to Aspen and Snowmass. The apartment is so cute and clean! They have provided everything you would need to stay here comfortably. The bed is SO comfy, and everything is very modern. They are extremely nice and friendly too :-) we look forward to staying here again! Definitely recomend this place!

We have a nice condo in Basalt, CO. A perfect location to Aspen & Snowmass for skiing, biking, hiking, fishing or relaxing in the Rockies. The rented space is a one BR and private bath with shared living space. We would be able to rent the space on a longer term basis if the situation is right for both of us.
Our space is unique due to where we are located which is in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley. We are within 30 min. to Aspen and Snowmass; 10 min. to Willits/El Jebel; 20 min. to Carbondale and 30 min. to Glenwood. Springs.
Basalt has a flavor all it's own. There are many local events and we are within walking distance to the Roaring Fork or Chrystal Rivers.
  • Very nice stay near the mountains, would absolutely recommend it. Margie and Ben were great host, smooth arrival, plenty of advice and super friendly :)

    Linda2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Margie and Ben were very nice. Great location to see the Maroon Bells. Was able to walk to restaurants and shops.

  • Ben and Margie are awesome. They are very nice and friendly. The room is exactly as described, clean and comfortable. The location is close to Aspen and Glenwood Spring. There are a lot of outdoor adventures there.

  • Margie and Ben are the most thoughtful and accomodating hosts I've ever met. They instantly replied me with any concern about the weather and the public transportation. Margie and Ben warmly welcomed us with a Christmas card, which is really sweet of them! They even left plenty of tourist brochures and maganines in the room. The room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and conveniently attached with a bathroom. In short, it was wonderful stay at Margie and Ben's. Highly recommended to those who want to explore Aspen/Snowmass Village.

  • It was quick stop over roadtrip and glad that we found this place.

    Ankit2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Margie and Ben are two very special people and know their part of the world so well. Before I ever arrived Margie and I had a great conversation by phone to begin getting me acquainted, what route I might take from Denver to Basalt to enjoy the scenery most and even a ps reminder from Margie to begin drinking lots more water for the altitude! She was right! Once I arrived Ben and Margie offered great suggestions of what to do and where to go to make my 2 days before heading to Aspen unforgettable. And they feel like old friends now...not only wonderful caring and kind airb&b hosts! A very special stay. I highly recommend their perfect location and comfortable home. Thanks so much Margie and Ben!

My place is close to public transport, the airport, the city center, parks, and art and culture. You’ll love my place because of the location, the views, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
We want to offer an affordable accommodating option for guests to come and explore the valley and all it has to offer without paying a lot for lodging. This is a unique space because of the interior layout and openness upon entering. The kitchen was designed for cooking and is the at the center of the living area. This space offers the best of both worlds with mountain and river scenery, which give it that mountain cabin feel, but just out front door you find all the luxuries & convenience of being town and walking distance to restaurants and shops as well as public transportation up and down the valley. So explore and enjoy your time in this special place.
Basalt is a cozy, quiet town with access to great hiking trails, fishing, and skiing.
  • Had a lovely stay at Aaron's. Her place was very easy to find, just follow her directions and you'll be fine. We had a lot of privacy if we wanted, but also had access to the main living area where you can find her cute dog hanging out. Her place overall was very clean and comfortable. Thanks again Aaron for letting us stay in your home!

  • The condo is at a great location for our trip to Maroon Bell, and the room is nice and clean. Would come back next time.

  • Very charming condo with a gorgeous view of a rushing river. Convenient location. Good price. Accommodating hosts. Room was good. Double sinks nice. I would recommend they get a more comfortable bed though.

    David2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The room was exactly as advertised, and I could not be more happy with it. Aaron was very accommodating. The room was great. There is one bed with an additional air mattress that could fit me and one other guest very comfortably, as we both got our own beds. The location was very close to public transportation, and this was perfect as I was traveling to Aspen every day. I would highly recommend this AirBnB to anyone traveling to Aspen, as it is very affordable when compared to staying in Aspen itself. The affordability makes up for the time to travel between Basalt and Aspen.

  • Kelly's place is a great location with a very convenient, separate entry/exit door. We ran into her husband but never actually had the opportunity to meet Kelly herself. Very clean place and nicely finished. My wife and I shared the queen bed which sloped towards the middle and may not be ideal for someone with back problems, but apart from that everything was perfect! Had a great stay.

Basalt's mid-valley location makes it a great choice for easy access to explore all that is available throughout the Roaring Fork valley. We are also twenty minutes from Ruedi reservoir located at the upper end of the Frying Pan valley. The studio is an enjoyable ten minute stroll along the Frying Pan River to downtown Basalt.
It is a private, quiet unit in a lovely natural setting located across the road from the Frying Pan River. It is a great space for couples or the solo traveler. We welcome pets but do ask that they not be left alone in the studio.
We live in old town Basalt, it is easy to navigate either by foot, car or bike. There is great dining down town with a good variety of choices. There are some really cute shops and hands down, Heirlooms is one of the best gently used stores I have ever been to. Willits is the new part of Basalt that offers even more choices in dining and shopping, including a Whole Foods.
  • I had a magnificent stay here. It is quiet and peaceful. The accommodations were perfect. It's close to hiking trails and other activities. And the hosts were wonderful. I would definitely come back again!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this Basalt bungalow. You can walk to town in about 10 minutes and enjoy the quaint atmosphere of this little town. It is also an easy drive to Carbondale and Aspen. The actual room was super clean and the hosts are very thoughtful.

  • Great place in a gorgeous location!

    Annie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great base camp for my hut trip. Basalt is a nice little town with some good restaurants that's close to Carbondale, Snowmass, and Aspen. Stocked well enough for simple meals and has anything anyone could want for a short stay in a studio. It was nice to be able to clean my ski gear in the washer and drier before returning home, which wouldn't have been as easy in a hotel. During my stay, there wasn't anything that I needed that wasn't available. One night, I wanted a blanket, and pondered it for a moment. I looked over and wondered if the ottoman at the end of the bed opened. Sure enough, I opened it, and there was a blanket. Oh, if you sleep light, you might consider bringing ear plugs. There's an overhead fan but not a great source of white noise. Finally, it was nice to be welcomed by drinkable coffee and they have a nice collection of maps in the table by the couch showcasing the region. They put thought into hosting guests, it's a great value and home base for adventures in the region.

My place is close to family-friendly activities, nightlife, public transport, the city center, and the airport. You’ll love my place because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighborhood, and the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • Evening was awesome!

  • If you're dreaming of romantic evenings soaking in a private hot tub overlooking a beautiful valley while only 6 feet away from where you'll be sleeping, stop reading and book now. The room itself is quaint and homey, while Conan and Kim are always at the ready to make your experience as fulfilling as possible (they went well out of their way to make our last minute reservation work). Located only 15 minutes from downtown Aspen in the charming town of Basalt, it's a steal for those who want to be near the action but far enough away that it won't break the budget. Local restaurants are good and Whole Foods is just up the road if you're more into picnicking and exploring the local trails. Also, the shower was amazing in the summertime, I can only imagine how good it will be in the winter. Hikers take note: while photos of the Maroon Bells are all but mandatory, you've missed out if you do not take the opportunity to hike up to the Hanging Lake. For those who desire to add sunrise photos of the Maroon Bells to their collection, some friendly advice: the drive will take you about an hour, so plan for it. In the off-season (starting mid-October), they are less stringent about the 7 AM entrance cut off, but parking becomes more challenging as the day goes on. Overall, if this spot is available seize the opportunity.

  • Canan and Kim are wonderful hosts. They made sure we were comfortable and gave us suggestions on places to go eat and explore. The room is confortable and cozy and clean . The view off the deck while sitting in the hot tub is fabulous. They have a mini kitchen, even though we didn't use it, its great to know we could. We did use the fridge. When we come back this way we will certainly stay with Conan and Kim again. Thanks for a great Vacation Naoma and Shane

    Naoma2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Conan and Kim was unbelievable! They accommodated all of our needs and more. My friend and I were hiking the Maroon Bells and their home was only 20 minutes from the trailhead - perfect location. We were able to spend the day in Aspen and then eat more affordably back in the town of Basalt. It was the perfect stay. 100x better than staying in a hotel. I will be back for sure. Thank you, Conan and Kim!

    Jenna2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • I have never used AirBnB before. Conan made it a wonderful experience! Him and his wife were super accommodating. They were sweet and thoughtful. My boyfriend and I unfortunately had to work late and didn't arrive until late. They stayed up waiting to make sure we got settled in comfortably. Conan offered to tour us around Aspen for the night. They were friendly and warm and instantly made us feel welcomed. I'll be back to see them in the fall!!!!!

    Savana2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Conan & Kim's place is comfortable, clean, and the hot tub is private with a great view. There is a fridge & microwave for your convenience too. If you're looking for somewhere independent and uninterrupted this might not be the best place for you. Their space was nice for a quick visit to the area and a place to relax in the evening.

    Kaitlin2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Conan and Kim were fantastic hosts. If you love people you will love this couple. The home was exactly as described and so much more. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub watching the sun set atop a mountain side, slept wonderfully and enjoyed their great company. Kim goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need including great restaurant recommendations. We will be back to this beautiful area again and again and hope to stay with them when we do.

    Lori2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Located on top a hill, completely private. The hot tub is really good and is the best part of it. Beautiful views from the hot tub during the day and night (one can really see lots of stars during the night). Conan & Kim were really sweet - they welcomed us with complimentary wine as we were celebrating. The place is close to Aspen about 25 mins drive and very convenient.

Very nice mid-valley location, close to transit, shopping, great restaurants, Wholefoods, movies, bowling, gym's spa's and much much more. Half way between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. Can't be that for options of things to do.
  • Mike and Jan we great hosts. They were very welcoming and very helpful. As soon as we finished talking when we first met and after they explained some things about the room they let us have our privacy the rest of our trip. The room was great and big. The bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was a plus. The location was prime as well. It's right in between Aspen and Glenwood, so you can go either direction in about the same amount of time.

    Juan Miguel2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Michael an Jan were great hosts. They were very quick in responding to all our questions before and after we rented the unit. They were there when we arrived to check-in, walking us through the unit and answering our questions about the area. Their unit is good size and was very comfortable for my wife and I, and our yellow lab. The unit is beautifully decorated and has a nice bathroom. There is a little commercial area about a mile away that had a Whole Foods, City Market, Starbucks, and a variety of restaurants. About 2miles away we discovered the Woody Creek Distillery which makes excellent Rye Whiskey , Vodka, and Gin - worth a visit. As we were there primarily to ski and check out Aspen, we were pleased that it was a quick commute to all the mountains of Aspen, ~15minutes to Snowmass and another 5-10 minutes to the other mountains. All-in-all, we really enjoyed our stay at Michael & Jan's place, and would love to try and visit again in the summer for some hiking!

  • No matter you wanna go skiing in the winter or mountain biking in the summer, this is the place for you to stay and relax after long hours of sports. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's planning to visit Aspen area.

  • Great value accommodations near the ski slopes and 1 mile from restaurants and Whole Foods. Very communicative hosts and nice hot tub.

    Holly2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice place to stay! The hot tub is great, and it's only about 20-30 minutes away from aspen/snowmass. There was a really comfy bed and tea and coffee for the morning.

  • Michael is extremely friendly host, accommodations are excellent with superior view

  • This home was perfect for our first stop in experiencing the areas around Aspen, just across the street from shopping for groceries and not too far from Aspen or Carbondale. We wish we had enough time to check out the hot tub while we were there but we were too busy house hunting for our move. The room was large and very open, fantastic decor and amenities.

    Cassie2017-04-21T00:00:00Z

  • We rented a room in Tania's lovely and unique home that was perfect for long weekend in Basalt. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to downtown and a short 20 minute drive to both Aspen and Carbondale. We had a lot planned and it was easy for us to come a go as we pleased. Loved the gardens she's created in her backyard- very relaxing to sit out there and enjoy the birds, fish in the pond, and the flowers.

  • Beautiful place with a comfy bed. Couldn't ask for more after a day of skiing. Jeffery was very accommodating and went above and beyond for us! Thanks!

    Matt2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot to stay if you are traveling to the Aspen/Carbondale area! We didn't meet Jeff, but he was super quick to respond when we checked in, and his directions made things super easy. In a newer residential/commercial development and walking distance to lots of good restaurants, etc. Definitely a good value, and Jeff included lots of extras like lotion, mini shampoo and conditioner, etc. The only two things that would have elevated this to a 5 is the blinds in the bedroom are missing a few strips so the sun came in early and made privacy with the parking lot tricky, and we couldn't figure out how to lock the door- I should have reached out about the latter! Overall a super solid option in the area!

Stayed during the week and enjoyed quiet relaxing days while Jeffery was away working. Love the road bike riding around Basalt! Had fun checking out the brew pubs in the area too! What a beautiful place! Can't wait to go back!!

  • We stayed for 3 days during Summer 2016. The Good: The place is very nice and secluded, room was clean, communication with Anne was easy (we never met her), nice view on the river. Good location near Basalt which what great for us, and Aspen is close enough. The Bad: 1. Anne warned us in advance about the noise from the very near highway but reviewers did not seem to mind, so we booked. However, the noise is substantial and continues. 2. Mosquitoes were in full force when we visited (summer), especially in the evening. The end result, even though Anne space outside is really nice, we could not enjoy her outdoors due to the above.

    Carmi2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good night's undisturbed sleep, more like staying in our own lodge. Perfect for visiting the Bells. Anne had so many tips and welcomed us even before we arrived. You're so close to the outdoors that squirrels run around and the river flows right at your doorstep - just lovely.

    Ash2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This little place is a great alternative to trying to stay in Aspen. Close to Aspen without the high price. We usually stay in Aspen but being here gave us an opportunity to explore Basalt which is a really beautiful town, so picturesque & thanks Anne for the restaurant recommendations. You'll be close to Aspen, Basalt, Rio Grande trail, Maroon Bells.... Close to many hiking & biking trails. Anne's place is in a great neighborhood with the river in the back yard. Wouldn't worry too much about the traffic noise. I'm usually quite sensitive to that but if you're sitting by the rushing river it really diminishes the traffic. Our dog really enjoyed the chipmunks, squirrels & rabbits around the neighborhood. The place is small but perfectly adequate - we weren't around that much as there is so much to do in the area. Anne left out some nice snacks, water & loads of info! The one & only thing I would change? One of those small under cabinet refrigerators would be perfect! One word of advice - keep your dog on a leash when you go hiking - we had two wonderful black bears cross our path on a trail at Mount Sopris. It was awesome!

    Alison2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was fantastic! We did not see much of Anne because of our schedules, but she was incredibly helpful and specific both in our email correspondence and helpful notes left in the room. It was a very private space, with bathroom and an entrance from the outside. Exactly as described on the listing. The view. I really can't explain how great the sights and sounds of the Roaring Fork River. Anne left us some fruit, snacks, and even put out a bowl and bone for my dog. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

    Sydney2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not sure how to write this other than, wow! I felt more at home in Anne's private room than I do at "home home"! It's such a cozy little room with all the perfect essentials. The bathroom is gigantic, perfect coffee corner with big mugs, maps & magazines with things to do around the area, and an amazing bed. We were welcomed with a sign on the door personalized to my name! There's easy access to the room for going in and out, just the right amount of space, and of course the river to see and hear! It's at the end of a quiet tucked away street, which made everything better. Anne was so great to communicate with and by far easier than I expected with our first bnb experience! She set the bar high!

  • Anne's apt. On the river was very clean and attractive. The ambiance was wonderful. Anne was a very nice host and although she was busy working, left a thoughtful jar of goodies to enjoy upon arrival. The apt. Was very comfortable and very scenic with the river and lots of flowers and chairs to enjoy the beauty. I will definitely return. Linda Lawrence

  • Anne was such a great host! We had such a fun weekend in Colorado and her home was the perfect welcoming! Everything was very nice and clean and she had some great snacks. So very thoughtful! I would definitely recommend Anne's Place! Thank you Ann!

  • Really charming and comfotable space. We visited in the winter so we weren’t able to enjoy the outdoors/river view much, unfortunately. Ann was great w communication. There is a bus stop nearby if you wanted to take the bus into Aspen, etc.

We have a newly remodeled home 400 meters to town (walking) and 50 meters to the local park. Your portion of the home is a separate garden level apartment and has 2 bedrooms, bath, large living area, laundry, kitchenette and plenty of room. Separate entrance. Note that the kitchenette has only one "burner" but has toaster, coffee maker, oven, microwave, fridge, etc.
We are in a quiet neighborhood in the mountains. You can see the milky way at night.
  • This is my third stay at an Airbnb and I’m always surprised at how the pictures of spaces understate how beautiful and large the spaces are. This place is beautiful and Anne was always quick to respond and happy to help with any issues we had. Lots of counter space in the bathroom, hangers in the closets, games in the cupboard by the stairs. A wonderful place to stay for easy access to Aspen, Glenwood Springs etc.

  • This place is exactly like the pictures. It is so spacious, clean and very welcoming! The host Anne and her husband were amazing. Quick to respond and extremely helpful answering questions and with navigating the city. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay in the Basalt/Aspen area.

Perfect mid-valley getaway waiting for you! Remodeled 1100 square foot 2 Bed, 2.5 Bath townhouse 2 blocks from gold medal fly fishing/biking/hiking. Easy adventuring throughout the Roaring Fork Valley from this comfy quiet private space close to everything. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Enter through the quaint gated patio where you can escape the summer heat under the large umbrella. Then step inside into an open floor plan on the main level which includes the combined living and intimate dining area, a half bath, in-unit laundry facilities, and functional kitchen. A large window and glass door offers a connection to nature out the back of the unit. Enjoy spits of sunshine in this garden area with your morning coffee or the shaded area in the afternoons with your lunch or dinner. The Townhouse offers many up-to-date amenities to provide guests with a luxury experience. There is a 42” HD flat screen TV with cable and ROKU system offering access to hundreds of streaming movies. In addition, there is fast wifi throughout the property. The open kitchen has a dishwasher, an oven/stove, microwave, and a full size refrigerator. Filtered water is always available in the kitchen, but in case you didn’t know…Aspen tap is pretty pure. A french press, fresh Allegro coffee, and assorted teas are available for your morning routine too. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms each with a private bathroom attached. The back bedroom is appointed with a queen size luxury pillow top mattress and fresh linens. The front room has a custom built-in daybed (sleeps 1), a large desk for your writing or working retreat, and the option of adding a double size foam mattress (comfortably sleeps 2) for extra guests or kiddos. Please request this second bed to be prepared in your reservation request if desired. Please note - this property is maintained as my primary residence, for the time I choose to spend in the mountains. Personal items are limited, but clothing and miscellaneous items are stored in the bedroom closets. Hanging space and open drawers in the master bedroom custom closet are free for your use.
You are just two blocks from gold medal fly fishing on the Roaring Fork River. You will often see enthusiasts in their waders making their way to their favorite spot. Also, Whole Foods and Willits Towncenter is just over a mile from this location. It is an easy walk through a nice neighborhood to access great food. Main Street in Old Town Basalt is approximately 4 miles away. There are more great restaurants and a few quaint shops you won’t want to miss. I have a 7-speed cruiser bike for your use if you want to get local. If you are a hiker or biker Basalt is a great place to set-up camp. My two favorite morning hikes are just a few minutes away and the Rio Grand Trail (ride Glenwood Springs to Aspen) for cyclists is just around the corner.
  • Lovely house in Basalt, only 20 minutes from Aspen! It's just down the street from whole foods and a couple other grocery stores, so it's easy to pick up things for hiking or to cook at the house. Erica's house is very well organized and she's generous to share what she has: coffee, tea, and many other things. Would stay here again!

    Beth2016-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a great stay! The condo was comfortable and spacious for two. We loved being able to cook and have access to the clean and convenient kitchen. Erica made us at home by offering her Roku, Netflix and internet which helped a lot with generally limited T-Mobile service in Basalt. WiFi calling worked! The temps were pretty warm and there's no AC so follow her directions to keep the place from heating up too much in the day. Overall, a great experience for our first AirBnB.

    Michele2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Erica's place. So warm and welcoming for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers). Extremely well decorated with everything we needed for Labor Day weekend at the JAS Festival in Snowmass. Quiet and close to everything we wanted to do. I took a few photos of decorating ideas for our home in Boulder - so creative!

    Carolyn2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • From the start, Erica was a great communicator. She would respond almost immediately after any email I had sent. Her town home is beautiful! Very spacious, and had everything we needed to make it a comfy stay. Location was perfect as well. I was doing the tough mudder in Snowmass and all the hotels around the Snowmass-Aspen area were more expensive then staying at her beautiful home. Definitely the way to go! I would absolutely stay here again.

    Monica2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Erica's home is outstanding in every way, just as described on the website. We had three adults in our party and it fit our needs perfectly. Her kitchen is amazing-small so everything is in easy reach, plenty of working space, and every utensil, pot, dish that you could possibly need. Eric was always in easy reach by email both in arranging our stay and answering our questions. You won't be disappointed, but please honor and take care of her home as if it were yours, it is a gem.

    Deda2016-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Erica's home was cosy. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable. There were coffee shop, grocery stores and restaurants nearby (1.5 miles). Ski resorts were just a short drive away: Snowmass Village (19 miles) and Aspen (21 miles). The neighbourhood was safe and quiet. Finally, Erica responded to all of my enquires in a very prompt manner, facilitating my trip planning.

    Eric2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Erica was a a great host. We didn't meet her, but all of her correspondence was immediate, clear and helpful, from our initial inquiry to after we left her home. The description was correct. House very clean, well stocked, 3 bathrooms were wonderful, along with washer and dryer. Shower pressure great. Outdoor space is private and lovely. Location convenient to hiking, coffee, groceries and restaurants. Also ideal location - near may mountain towns. No complaints. Thanks Erica!

    Shirl2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Erica's home was great. It was situated perfectly between Glenwood Springs and Aspen, which allowed us to spend time in the entire valley. House was very well stocked, and kitchen had all the tools we needed for staying in and making a few meals. Really appreciate the effort into making the apartment feel like home for everyone, thanks!

  • Jo is amazing. She is so kind and accommodating. The apartment is cozy and a great deal. Definitely enjoy the sunset on the porch. The valley lights up and looks like it is glowing! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. You could not ask for a better stay!

  • We stayed for 4 nights and wish it had been longer. The host provided the perfect amount of hospitality. Very clean condo-like suite. Comfortable bed, good pillows, quality sheets, and the softest of towels. Bathroom and shower area were on point. Everything one might need to make a home cooked meal is available. Why eat out when you can grill a meal that you picked up from Whole Foods two minutes down the road? You're equipped with a two burner hot plate, toaster oven, outdoor gas grill, and medium size fridge/freezer. The wifi was great - no TV, so for rainy days laptops worked well. The apartment has a nice porch-like concrete slab for watching the sunset or reading a book. There's a nice little garden nook area to the left with a grill. The view was fantastic. We love this valley and everything it has to offer. We'll be coming back to stay here.
