  • Grégoire’s passion is contagious. The Pulpería is a living, breathing time capsule. His’ effort in keeping the past alive is something to behold, from the wood cobblestoned floors to Urquiza’s toilet! The experience can’t be put into words, is best to live it!!! I was inspired, stimulated and delighted moment to moment. Rafael and Juan were an added bonus as their enthusiasm and energy while making the empanadas was unparalleled. I look forward to enjoying dinner at the Pulpería soon! Thank you Grégoire for a unique experience!

  • Warm welcome, especially in the Kitchen! Eggplant patties a bomb!

  • The cabin is bar none the best place I have ever stayed. It is the perfect escape. I've been coming for five years now, and it's just perfection on earth.

  • This was the second time at the cabin and we were not let down! We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful sounds and smells of the woods. Looking forward for our third visit next year!

  • Quaint cabin in a very quiet location. Beautiful setting.

    Berry2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Of all the places we’ve stayed in Vermont, this is the most relaxing. Listening to the stream while drinking coffee in the sun room is the perfect recipe to unwinding and getting those muscle knots out of your back.

    Anthony2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded cabin with a beautiful background noise. If you would like to get away and hear nothing but animals and a creek, this is the place for you. Kevin and Lesley are great hosts. Very responsive and offered local tips. Definitely would help to have a AWD vehicle. I had an outback and it was perfect. A VW golf may have a fun time getting up driveway on certain days. All in all great place to stay.

  • The yurt was great for a fall trip to VT! It had more amenities than I expected for a yurt, and it was fun to use the wood stove. I wouldn't stay here when the weather gets too cold, since the space does take a while to heat up and going outside for the shower/bathrooms can get chilly, but it's a great way to spend a weekend! Even though there is a fast ethernet connection, we loved disconnecting and playing some board games by the fire!

  • Hannah’s yurt was the perfect home base for a beautiful fall weekend in Vermont! It was chilly but the wood stove kept us nice and warm. Check in and communication was very easy, short drive to many great restaurants in Woodstock, and lots of nice hiking trails in the area!

  • 15min from Woodstock, rather well placed. Pretty yurt, comfortable, equipped kitchen.

  • One of the best places I've ever stayed at! We met Matt on the second night and he was incredibly friendly. We didnt meet Hannah but she checked and cleaned the facilities daily. This yurt was fantastic. Starry sky, warm fire, clean and comfy place to sleep. These are truly "superhosts" and we will be back!

    Dan2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This yurt is everything! So much peace, quiet, and privacy! Everything you could need or need to know about the yurt + appliances / accessories are written down for you by Hannah. I love the outdoor shower, composting toilet, and wood stove / fireplace. The lake and general store are in walking distance as well. I didn’t want to leave lol

Upstairs apartment in a two family home available for outdoor adventures or a peaceful couples getaway. Located 20 minutes from Killington. World class skiing, fishing, hiking and four-wheeling/snowmobiling. Connected with the VAST and VASA trails system. Appalachian Trail access. One mile to Stonybrook Tavern, 7 miles to I-89. Guests have access to the private 64 acre plot, river and brook access, plenty of parking, fishing poles available and guided excursions available upon request.
The home is quiet and peaceful. I still have some modifications I'm trying to make so please pardon any dust while we make these adjustments. The interior will always be left in immaculate shape to accept guests but you may find some clutter in the carport as I continue to project and putter.
The house is located about a mile up a lightly traveled dirt road. It is a rural country setting with tons of woodlands, rivers and farms and not much else. And that is how we like it. There is a quaint little restaurant a mile from the house open 5 days a week (Wednesday-Sunday). The closest markets are in Pittsfield and Bethel, about 7 miles in either direction. This is a retreat from the busy hustle and bustle of modern life. It is peaceful, clean and quite.
  • This was a great find. Easy drive to and from Killington Ski area. Very quiet area and the apartment was clean and very spacious.

    Robert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect for the two of us. Being out of the way and remote added to the trip

    David2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Kevin’s place. The house had everything we needed and was a quick 30 min drive to Killington. I’d stay here again.

    Heather2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The photos dont do this place justice. It is much more spacious than it looks and it honestly felt like home the minute we walked in the door. Kevin was super responsive, he had the heat on, light on and a nice smelling diffuser going when we arrived late in the night. The cabinets are stocked with all the essentials and some interesting options like homemade relish and all kinds of teas. The property is so gorgeous... It's way down a dirt road along a creek and the driveway has its own bridge over the stream. We where here in the winter and it looked like a winter wonderland out of the giant windows all around the common area. Im planning to come back and explore in the summer!

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Good location to ski killington, comfortable. Prided coffee, eggs and English muffins. Communication was great. Clean and easy, great value.

    Ramsey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin was very easy to communicate with. The property is just past a stream with a bridge you drive over. Very remote and peaceful. The space is the tip floor of a two story home. Wifi worked well in absence of phone service. Fresh coffee beans in the French press was a welcome treat!

    Dan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment on a great piece of property. Well stocked, plenty of entertainment options. Not too far from the ski resorts. We absolutely loved it.

    Vanessa2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin’s place is super great! We loved the sound of the rushing river and watching the millions of stars at night. The house is very cute and decorated with all sorts of interesting things to look at. Couch is very comfortable and there are 2 working TVs. House is stocked with all kitchen supplies and the table had an adorable little vase filled with flowers! (As a florist, that was a nice touch!) The house sits on a large property so we got to run around and play in the snow which was a huge plus! It is very close to Killington Ski Resort which was the whole reason for the trip! Would stay there again!

Cozy cottage with private entrance to finished basement area where you'll find a mud room/kitchenette area, two bedrooms and a full bath. Property sits less than 20 feet from a babbling brook, a pergola with two benches for outdoor dreaming. Our space is perfect for Vermont visitors on the go. You simply want a clean & comfy place to crash after a full day of mountain biking, hiking, touring the cheese-maker farms and pottery workshops, running the Covered Bridges Half-Marathon or the Vermont 100-mile race, or just exploring quintessential Woodstock. NOTE: Your hosts, Robert and Heidi, live in the main house above the guest quarters. Since your private entrance is down a grassy slope, we can only offer accommodations three seasons, (late spring, summer, autumn) but if the dates you want are "blocked", just message Heidi about availability as it's hard to predict when the snow will arrive. We "close for the winter" based on our best guess of winters arrival and departure.

  • Very beautiful setting convenient to Route 100.

    Beverly2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this place on a whim because there was nothing available in Woodstock and we needed a place to crash on our way to Stowe. I am so glad we did because our stay was amazing and exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of privacy and space. You will have snacks, food for breakfast, and coffee which we appreciated. The views in the fall are spectacular. I was bummed we were only staying for one night. I would definitely recommend staying here and plan to return in the future!

    Tamar2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly and accommodating hosts! Great amenities, comfortable bedding and sparkling clean all-around. Just a 10 minute drive to everything in Woodstock. Very quiet and peaceful location. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending to anyone looking to check out the Woodstock area but not wanting to pay the outrageous rates for accommodations downtown. Five stars all around!

  • What a charming place! Beware, her dog will make you want to stay longer. :-)

    Conrad2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were only there for a one night getaway but wish we could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful house, and Sara is incredibly welcoming (and so is her sweet dog). The bed was very comfortable and we both had a great night sleep. We will definitely be back the next time we go to Killington.

    Stephen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's home is your home away from home. Sara and her very sweet dog Chappy gave us a very warm welcome in a bitterly cold blizzard. Her 1840s home is cozy, beautiful and made for a very special stay. Sara is a wonderful cook and host. We stayed in the red room, which we highly recommend. If you're vacationing near Barnard or skiing in Killington, we highly suggest staying at the Fan House.

'Sanctuary' describes this unique green-built, two-story solid-timber home perfectly. Peaceful, quiet, nestled on a wooded mountainside in Vermont, it's the superlative place to escape the noise of everyday life.
Romance, quiet, and the feel of another era in this colonial Williamsburg decorated solid-timber home set in the center of a 24.5 acre mountainside in Vermont. A fully furnished screened back porch, complete with soft patio lights, padded porch swing, and small dining table completes the picture. A glassfront woodstove in the spacious living area (fall/winter) adds charm and warmth. Flooring in every room is random-width pine finished with natural oils. Bedrooms are spacious and include sitting areas and their own thermostat-controlled gas fireplace units. And yes, I have high-speed fiber optic internet (40mbps) . . . Ethernet and WiFi. Unique shopping, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historic Park, and art galleries await you in quintessential Woodstock 5 miles away; Silver Lake State park with beachfront, kayak & paddleboat rentals, and playground area 4 miles away. After a day at the beach, there's the famous Barnard General Store across the lake for deli/ice cream, or fine dining at the Barnard Inn and Max's Tavern. Want live theater/concerts? Live performances at the Artistree Grange Theatre 8 min. away, or Northern Stage, The Hop Center at Dartmouth College, and Lebanon Opera House 35 minutes drive. Love skiing? Killington-Pico ski resort is 25 minutes to the gondola parking; Suicide Six is 8 minutes away. And my 24.5 acres has trails for hikers, snowshoers, and cross country ski lovers. Snowmobiles and ATV's also welcome. This is the piece of heaven we call Starry Hill, and we're ready to make your stay in Vermont a magical adventure!
The privacy of my 24.5 acres is golden. I have three neighbors, but the abundance of woods between their houses and mine keeps the feel of total privacy. A nature path going up the mountain behind the house is sweet network of trails for nature walks, snowshoeing, fresh organic wild raspberry and blackberry picking in July and August.
  • It was such a great experience for me and all my friends to stayed at Heidi& Robert’s place. The beautiful home is warm, clean and cozy, we even have fireplace in our rooms!!!! For someone who usually lives in the city, this place is a perfect getaway! Quite, peaceful and beautiful sceneries! Not only that, Heidi and Robert were so helpful, thoughtful and accommodating throughout our stay is a huge plus. They truly care about their guests’ experience.l and they exceed our expectations in every way! I’ll definitely go back again and recommend to everyone who is looking for a great place to stay!

    Di2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi’s ‘Starry Hill’ is truly a gem. From the propane thermostat-controlled wood stoves in the bedrooms for a full night of warmth, to the well-appointed kitchen with every gadget you could possibly need, this home has it all. The cozy family room had an actual wood burning stove which we sat around each night, and reflected on the day. Heidi and her husband were so responsive. Even ploughing first thing in the morning after a good night’s snow. We enjoyed the short drive to and from town. We experienced a great combination of rural quiet living, and the more lively village hustle and bustle. We’re so excited we picked Starry Hill. We will be back!

    Jessie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing home and an amazing hostess. This is a great place to unwind and rest, share time with friends and family and is proximate to Woodstock area!

    Shelby2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the experience that our family had in your home. We definitely noticed the skilled craftsmanship in the building materials and cabinet layouts. We loved the freedom to roam as we were only a family of 3. My son took advantage of the sled in the shed and went down the hill for a couple of hours. And the fireplace set up was so easy. Everything was clean and beautifully decorate. We also loved your recommendation to the Pied Piper restaurant and Woodstock Inn...both were excellent. Great overall experience

    Jillian2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised house rental, in a great location. Loved the spot, convenience, relaxation, lack of TV and style of home. It's a lovely home. We are so pleased to have enjoyed it for a long weekend. Heidi is available, made check in easy and is organized. Surely we recommend.

    Mary2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third time staying at Heidi's wonderful cabin. As always it was a great experience. The location feels quiet and secluded but is super close to the amenities of Woodstock. The cabin is cozy at any time of year with a screened in porch to enjoy in the warm months and toasty heaters for the cold months.

    Brittany2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi has an incredible house - it is everything you want when you plan a trip to Vermont. The location is perfect - it is both very private yet very close to everything. The house is incredibly clean, and decorated perfectly with a lot of extra touches. Heidi is so easy to communicate with and really goes above and beyond to make your stay great. This is one of our favorite places we have stayed and we plan to go back often.

Late summer guests are encouraged to pick blueberries and gather fresh vegetables from the garden. Staying in the winter? Bring your snow gear and a sled!
Our house sits on 10 acres on a gravel road, but it is less than 5 miles from Interstate 89. Friendly neighbors abound, sharing in the creation and use of the trails, and giving a friendly wave to people passing by.
  • After a lovely day skiing at Sugarbush, we went off the road after a wrong turn and ended up stuck a half a mile from destination. Annette and Brad's response went above and beyond hospitality. They have our heartfelt appreciation. A gem of a home.

  • Annette’s home is beautiful getaway in VT. Very clean and comfortable. Close to suicide six and Woodstock. We had a great time during our stay.

    Iman2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great, if we go back to Killington we definitely stay in the same place.

    Isabel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Annette was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed snow shoeing right on the property and coming back to the cozy house. It was a picture perfect escape!

    Jessica2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, not too far from Pico mountain. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend to friends.

    John2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I LOVED our brief stay here! Our only regret is not having a chance to stay for longer. The place is so beautiful and relaxing. Everything was very clean and perfect. We stayed due to our plans to ski at Killington, but we'd love to come back in the summertime, too! For those who are also planning to ski at Killington, it took us maybe 30-40 mins to drive there, and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Communication with the owner was super simple and quick, as well! Overall, perfect experience!

  • This is our favorite place and we stayed every where from Italy to Banff

    Kevin2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin for a weekend stay. Annette was very clear with directions and instructions, and was quick to answer any questions. The house is clean, well taken care of, and certainly has a unique look and feel. As a renter, you're sharing the house with Annette, but there were no issues at all and she was very respectful. Overall would recommend and wish I spent some more time in Log Heaven!

Relax by the fire after a day of adventure. We are only 9.6 miles from Suicide Six, 29 to Killington(snow tubing, mountain coaster, fat bikes, skyeride), and 35 miles to Okemo mountain for those looking to hit the slopes. The VAST snowmobile trail can be accessed easily from the property. Silver Lake is 3 miles away for ice skating. Woodstock Village is 11 miles away, it's a picture-book New England Village. Quechee Gorge, the deepest one in VT is less then 8 miles from Woodstock.
This is a non-smoking property. It's a 2 story, 3 bedroom house. Queen size bed, dresser or closet space in 2 bedrooms, 1 room has a full-size bed. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Full kitchen, dining room, living room with gas fireplace. Full bath with a shower and a half bath. Located on seven acres of land. The kitchen has dishes, pots, pans, utensils and glasses. The house is NOT childproof, no safety locks, open staircase, and large opening in the rails. Just so you are aware this house is lived in, therefore it has personal items and pictures throughout the house. Please do not expect a hotel like environment, it's a home. There are several locked doors that you will not have access to.
It's in a quiet, rural setting in the mountains with a beautiful view. On a clear night you can see so many stars shimmering in the night sky. It's located on 7 acres of fields, with hills, trees, many flower gardens, and a brook. There are dogs on the property, they are in a fenced area. My wife fosters for a local rescue and we have some of our own. The neighbors have dogs and you may see some roaming around, they like to visit different neighbors and get treats. You may see wild turkey, deer, or occasionally a moose.
  • Very homey and cozy! Our group of skiers had a blast sleeping over. The amenities are perfect for a small group looking to ski at nearby Killington.

  • My wife and I stayed at Tiffany's and Aaron's place for 4 nights. They were very accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed and even supplied sleds for a decent hill in the back. The place is very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Coffee pods were supplied and the cookie greeting was very welcome. The fireplace/stove was great after a day in the snow. Their place is ideally located - short drives to Woodstock/Quichee, Killington and beyond. The scenery in this area is incredible.

    Bill2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • First off, beautiful home and an even more beautiful property!! We arrived around 9 pm and Tiffany made sure we knew our way around her place along with helping us get a bite to eat. They gave my family great memories to add to this trip. I highly recommend the sleding and snowmobile rides. Too much fun and not enough time. Tiffany was a great host and went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. The coffee really helped warm us up as well and thank you for the added touches. We'll definitely be back and highly reccomend this Airbnb to anyone trying to get away and enjoy a winter wonderland.

Our home has a warm, cabin feel with a million dollar view. Very quiet, comfortable and relaxing.
    Quiet & secluded
  • INCREDIBLE VIEW! Great hospitality and Josh is quick and reliable with responses!

    Julie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just an all around great place. The drive up the road can be daunting, but if you can make it up it is worth the trip. Josh's place has beautiful views + makes you feel right at home. Definitely recommend.

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house! With even better views. Josh was extremely nice, and communicated very well leading up to our stay. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

    Ben2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful VT getaway/ski spot with excellent amenities and breathtaking views -- truly can't overstate how stunning the outlook was! Location-wise, the chalet is perfect. It's about 40 minutes from Killington, which made it just close enough with a bit of an "escape" from the hustle/bustle of the main resort areas after a full day of skiing. The entire space is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures -- super roomy, yet still very cozy! The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook / entertain comfortably. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean and well-kept as well. We stayed comfortably with 4 guests and could have fit up to 6 people comfortably. Loved the Bluetooth speakers too - great touch. Will DEFINITELY be back!

    Mary2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Josh's place was well worth the trip. The house is warm, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need for a great stay. We really enjoyed the view out on the deck as well - it's spectacular! Such an amazing scene to wake up to.

    Eric2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Josh was an exceptional host! ...When we arrive he was busy working to plow the driveway and provided a tour of the chalet. The views are off the charts - the photos do not do it justice! ... Great value, great host, great place! Book it... before someone else does!

    Thomas2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views, Awesome little spot, Better have AWD or 4WD to get up the road to the house.

  • The view is what attracted us to this place and it did not disappoint! The house was clean and perfect for our weekend away. The host was very accommodating and replied quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely go back!

This 2nd floor space is great for small groups and couples. All wood interior space has been newly updated with modern appliances, handmade slab countertops, and cozy furniture. Directly across from Silver Lake and the Barnard General Store, with 6 parklike acres including a tennis court (with pickle ball)! Easy to find, minutes from Woodstock, VT. and award-winning dining, just 3 minutes to Silver Lake State Park, and just a few miles to multiple access points of the Appalachian Trail.
The space is the entire 2nd floor of a barn on a larger (6 acre) property. Tons of rustic charm, with wide plank wood floors, slab counter tops, rough timber edge accents everywhere and lots of large windows. The floor plan is very open between the dining area, the living room space and the kitchen. There are two bedrooms: a master with a king bed and a large walk-in closet; and a smaller guest room with a day bed and second twin mattress underneath, as well as ample closet space. The bathroom has a large shower with tub and a beautiful slab counter top. The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances, including a dishwasher, and loads of culinary gadgets. There is a smart TV to connect to your Netflix/Hulu/Amazon (etc) accounts and EC Fiber high-speed wireless. The mudroom has lots of space for winter gear, beach chairs, coolers, whatever you have – so you don't have to keep it all in the car. There is also a washer and dryer for you to use as you need. The house comes stocked with the basics as far as laundry detergent, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags--but anything you don't find you can easily grab right across the street at the general store that is open everyday. The outside space is not only beautiful but also functional. The house has it's own patio and lawn with lots of room for Bocci, badminton, picnicking etc, a tennis court (with pickleball lines as well), and the rest of the shared property is yours to use.
Barnard is a fantastic little Vermont town, some would say "Quintessential". It's 15 minutes north of Woodstock, VT. (The Woodstock Inn, Rockefeller Estate, Billings Farm, Suicide Six Ski area, Worthy Kitchen) and about 30 minutes to Killington, and 45-60 miles to areas like Okemo, Stowe, and Sugarbush. The VAST trail (Vermont Association of Snow Travelers) passes right through Barnard, with multiple routes branching off, and the Barnard General Store has one of the areas only non-ethanol pumps. Silver Lake State Park has been voted the best Vermont State Park years in a row. Silver Lake itself is a wonderful lake, with absolutely no motors allowed, and great bird/wildlife watching, kayaking, SUP, fishing (and ice fishing). The Barnard Inn and Max's Tavern is less than a mile away, and was voted the best restaurant in Vermont-- the food is completely local, and they have a huge selection of Vermont-made spirits and beers! Barnard is quiet and relaxing, but has easy access to most of central Vermont. We're less than 30 minutes from both Long Trail Brewery and Harpoon Brewery/SILO Distillery, and only 20 minutes from Upper Pass Brewery and Worthy Burger (South Royalton). You won't run out of things to do, and at the same time, you'll still have the peace and quiet of Vermont that you're looking for.
  • Great place, easy to access, had everything we needed

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very clean and cute. There is a lot of room (big bedrooms, closets, living room, kitchen, etc) and we had a great stay. That said it is a bit far from everything (about 40 minutes away from the Killington ski area on winter roads). The house has wifi but no cellular reception. Also, when we went the place lost power due to a large winter storm. Erin was great and offered to reimburse any nights during which we did not sleep there, but do be aware that this is a possibility. Overall though, the place was very comfortable and Erin was incredibly responsive. Would definitely recommend.

    Alexandre2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The barn apartment was super charming and well appointed with everything we needed and more. It was very clean, well-located and the owners were super responsive. We highly recommend it!

  • Loved our stay here. The accommodation was very well appointed with everything we needed. Liked its proximity to Woodstock but it was quiet and peaceful. The general store was very useful and just across the road.

    Gavin2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for exploring Woodstock and the area. Excellent directions/information provided in advance of arrival and easy to get in, find everything etc. Good restaurant 2mins drive down the road (Barnard Inn/Max's Tavern) and the Barnard General Store is across the road, handy for supplies and a great breakfast. All amenities as expected, and an enormous double bed in the main bedroom!! Great to get away from it all.

Come stay in my childhood home in Barnard, Vermont, perched on a hillside overlooking our meadow and the Delectable Mountain ridge with Locust Creek running through the property. Our house is open, full of light with a wrap around deck, hiking, fishing, x-country skiing and VAST trails on the 11 acre property. It's only a few minute drive to Silver Lake State Park, the Barnard General Store, and the Appalachian Trail. Ski at Suicide Six or Killington. Explore Woodstock. You'll love it here!
Our house is a south facing passive solar design with big windows and lots of light. The main floor is open concept centered around a Vermont Castings wood stove. A fully equipped kitchen, expandable dining room table and comfy living room (with sofa bed) lead out to a wrap around deck. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 4 beds (2 Double, 2 Twin), and our finished walk-out basement has a small sofa bed, TV and plenty of room for a blow-up mattress. Our house has all original (and unique!) art from Barnard and nearby artists. This house has hosted many a wonderful time for our family and we hope you can come enjoy it with yours!
In my totally biased opinion, Barnard is one of the most beautiful towns in Vermont (and the world). It's high elevation means gorgeous snow, foliage and views. With a population of 900 and approximately 12 miles of paved roads and 60 miles of dirt roads, there is endless opportunities to drive the back roads and take in the scenery. Silver Lake is an absolute gem. Clear water, gorgeous views, fun fishing and a wonderful state park. We have the Appalachian trail cutting through our town with beautiful hikes to look-outs. We also have the BEST summer farmer's market on the actual farm with live music, home brewed hard cider and food for sale every Thursday of the summer. If you decide to leave Barnard (which you shouldn't even bother doing), Woodstock, South Royalton and Killington are all nearby with much entertainment.
  • Erin & Noah’s family home in the wonderful town of Barnard, Vermont is very homey, comfortable and clean. The big deck faces the beautiful mountains and for our September visit we were greeted with the beautiful and colorful foliage during the day and the amazing view of the stars and Milky Way at night! It was the perfect setting for a Fall weekend in Vermont!! We look forward to visiting again!!

    Pete2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for a family get together or groups of friends. Nice space with great light and well equipped kitchen for meal preparation. Very close to general store, hiking trails and Woodstock. Enjoy!

    Debra2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolutely wonderful experience! My husband and I and our two young daughters made this spot our home away from home for a week and we loved every moment. The house is beautiful, clean, inspiring and functional. We loved that the TV was stashed away in the cozy finished basement, leaving the living space (from which I drew so much inspiration for decorating my own home!) for living, talking, reading, sharing meals (we cooked in most days and the grill on the porch, and the picnic table made this easy!) and dancing. Our two year old loved falling asleep each night to the provided Disney movies on VHS! The property has a breathtaking view of the mountains and access to a beautiful brook. We ate several meals and enjoyed trying local beers and baked goods from the town general store that’s only a few minutes drive. We left this space feeling like we were leaving our home. I can’t say enough and we will certainly be return guests!

    Tracy2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Noah’s home is spacious, spotless and ideally located a little over a mile from Silver Lake. The home’s open floor plan, three bedrooms and finished lower level gave us more than enough space. The dishwasher, washer and dryer made our stay easy. Everything was spotless and the home was equipped with everything we needed for a week’s getaway. Erin and Noah were able to respond to questions within minutes. We will definitely be back - often!!

    Alice2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house exceeded our expectations and we love the area!

    Margo2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Erin and Noahs house is a lovely peaceful spot roughly a mile and a half from the general store in Barnard. The house was very clean and as described, and gave the feeling of ‘yesteryear’ with the way it is decorated. It reminded me of my childhood home a bit. The Wi-Fi was good and strong, and the property is lovely; my dog loved running in the open field in front of the house as well as in the river below the house. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to vacation in the area and hope to stay again someday in the future. Barnard is such a precious little town and Silver Lake is beautiful! Thank you Erin and Noah!

  • Diane’s place made for the perfect Vermont getaway. It was peaceful and serene and perfect for curling up with a book. And the sauna was an amazing bonus!

    Bonni2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Diane's place. The location is a good balance - close to Woodstock and Killington but also away enough that it's quiet. The lake is beautiful and right out your door. The apartment itself is perfect with good internet, a usable kitchen, and a comfortable bed.

    Patrick2019-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Diane’s place, located right on Silver Lake, was wonderful. The apartment was spacious while still having a cozy cabin feel and we particularly enjoyed the sauna. The views of the lake were stunning. Perfect location only 10 minutes from Mount Tom (great hiking, we recommend the precipice trail) and 15-20 minutes from Woodstock, a lovely Vermont town with small shoppes and restaurants.

    Lee2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • A Great and warm space. Diane was quick to respond. The sauna was excellent. Wish we had time to kayak. Hopefully we’ll be back. Highly suggest Max’s Tavern for food and drinks.

While it has all the amenities of your own home (full kitchen, full laundry) you will definitely feel on vacation with the charm of pine and cherry cut from our very own woods. You'll have views of Mt Tom and of our flower garden.

Although the apartment is nestled in the woods, access to roads are easy and we are just 1/3 mile from the center of our village.

    Fillip2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bob’s place is absolutely beautiful! My friends and I had a great trip and we always looked forward to coming back each night from a long day of skiing.

  • Another fantastic weekend at Bob's. This is the best spot in Woodstock people.

  • Snug, cozy apartment with super friendly and helpful hosts. Perfect for our New England tour.

  • Bob's place was once again the perfect getaway airbnb for a nice weekend in Vermont. Great location near town with everything you need.

    Jean Francois2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and nice loft apartment. It was minimally decorated which I always appreciate- not to much 'stuff' around. Beautiful wood cabin on a quiet street. Full kitchen and fridge which was spotless. Hosts provide what you need and got back to me with linen request. It's centrally located just right out of downtown Woodstock with plenty to do. Definitely would go back! Thanks Bob!

    Marni2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were traveling to Woodstock for a wedding at the Inn and were so excited to find this place (just a 10 minute walk uphill) from all the charm of Woodstock's main drag. The apartment was larger than I expected and had a nice view of the colorful hillside. Bob was a very friendly host, giving us great hiking and food recommendations. We've already recommended the spot to my in-laws for their next visit!

  • Sara's house is a gem! Historic and full of character. I stayed in the winter, but I can only imagine how beautiful it'd be in the summer. This is my first time in Vermont. Sara made it special! She's made me feel comfortable and at home. And the resident doggy, Chappy, is magical! I went snowboarding for the first time at Killington (a manageable 35min away) and came back home every day with body soreness, but Chappy just made me feel happy :) The location is a bit secluded, with only 1 restaurant/bar option nearby, but Barnard Inn (restaurant) is excellent. It's a great little getaway place!

  • Staying with Sara was a very pleasant experience. She is very knowledgeable about the world and can also offer expert local advice. Her home is a delight to visit.

  • Sara was very hospitable in every regard. She was prompt in communication, accommodated us when we were delayed on arrival, and offered a very clean room with amenities in a cozy house. Last but not least, her dog, Chappie, was a lovely addition to the experience. I’d be happy to stay here again.

  • Place is AWESOME! I will say the photos make the cottage seem like it’s seclude but it is quite close to the main home. HOWEVER! Once in side it was a very private and romantic stay! Great host clean and comfortable stay..they BED is to die for, was very hard to make the 11 o’clock check out laying in the bed!

  • Coley and Eric’s is a perfect spot to stay. The little house is very clean and has everything you could need (games, pots and pans, shampoo). I would stay here again anytime!

    Emma2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Coley and Eric are incredible hosts and the cottage is the perfect get away. There is much to explore within a short drive (even in the winter!) and they have plenty of great tips on where to go. Would absolutely book again (and plan on it 😊)!

    Chloe2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I came to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed! The cottage was so cute and cozy and just the right size for the two of us. Coley and Eric were always in touch via the airbnb app and were more than happy to get the hot tub started for us and to schedule the freshly baked bread for when we were at the cottage. It was delicious! The cottage was a quick 30 min drive from Woodstock where we went three times! It was about an hour away from Plymouth where we went snowmobiling. And an hour and a half away from both Burlington and the Ice Castles in New Hampshire. It was a great location, as it was pretty central to everything we wanted to do during our trip, but it was just far enough off the beaten path :) Coley and Eric always had the driveway plowed for us, as there was a lot of snow! We are hoping to be able to come back in the summer to visit the sheep and see the fruit bushes they are planting. Highly recommend!!

    Kelsey2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little place for a nice getaway in the woods. Cozy and comfy!!

    Christopher2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • I was at Coley’s place to spend a few days skiing with my grandson. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay: the house is beautiful and well equipped. I love this place because it is quiet, zen, in the middle of nature and at the same time so comfortable. I will be back!

    Michel & Agnes2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Coley and Eric’s cottage! So cozy and picturesque. They truly thought of everything. Highly recommend! Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time at the Rose of Sharon cottage at Beforest Gardens, simply because it is perfect, and we want to use our money to support the work of love these two humans do in the world. We spent the weekend reading, writing, relaxing and thinking in heaven. Everything about our stay was above and beyond from the fresh eggs and bread to the massage. In other words, it’s the care and hospitality of the hosts that makes this air b n b so much more than an air b n b. It is an experience instead; one that will give you hope for humanity and this earth island home we share.

  • The place is clean and near the ski resort. There are amazing restaurants nearby. Alex is a great skier and I had him for to days to coach me on what to improve w my ski skills. The room is the only place being rented and not the whole place so I have to find another place where it is more spacious as I couldn’t possibly just stay in the room after skiing. Thank you Alex for the ski lessons. I highly recommend Alex place without reservation if you are only looking for a room/bed after a day’s activities. Morie aka Liberty

  • Took my wife to Vermont for her birthday weekend and we couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience. We were surprised when we arrived, Jack and Sandi’s place was right next to the skiing mountain (suicide 6) and other restaurants/bars so it was very convenient. The actual house was clean, very cozy and with a massive bathtub. We enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb and will be sure to come back again! Thanks Jack and Sandi!

  • We had a lovely weekend staying at Jack's! The room was nice and clean and amenities were great. We were skiing all day in the wet rain and Jack offered to dry our clothes for us so we would be good to go the next day! Would definitely stay here again. It is not far from lots of great restaurants and beautiful views.

    Alyssa2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed in this space during the New Year holiday week. Jack and his wife were great hosts and had plenty of recommendations for local restaurants in nearby Woodstock (a ~5 min drive from the airbnb). The room was the perfect cozy retreat for us--quiet, clean and well-maintained. The jacuzzi tub was an added bonus and made our stay that much more relaxing!

    Renee2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jack’s was amazing from start to finish! The space was exactly as pictured and close to the town of Woodstock (the reason for our trip). We are city folk and were initially surprised at the lack of cell service (non-existent...but we were able to tap into wifi in certain places in the house) at the house, but later embraced it and enjoyed our few days “off the grid”! Would definitely consider staying at Jack’s again if/when we return toVT!

Do you enjoy Glamping? We are near Woodstock/Quechee and you’ll love us if you enjoy natural setting, rustic woods surrounded by old stone walls and a heavenly pond. Get out and explore the Upper Valley, returning to the cozy 1955 El Rey trailer or our 1947 Curtis Wright Airstream. We are experienced innkeepers from So Pasadena CA having managed The Bissell House Bed & Breakfast 15 years. Thanks to all who stayed with us last year. We are now closed for the season and will reopen May 14, 2020.
Looking for a warm and cozy space? Our vintage trailers are just the spot! Our 12 acre property is heavily wooded and late spring through fall are great times to enjoy the outdoors. Camping with a trailer is a fun experience. While we do not have a kitchen, our outdoor cook station has some basics for you. These include a 3 burner stove, BBQ grill and smoker, pans, utensils, olive oil and a communal mini fridge. Bring anything else that you want to add for your own comfort, such as cooler. You may want to bring flashlights and rain gear. There are many choices for dining in our area if you prefer to eat out. Our Curtis Wright is 72 years old and the El Rey is 64 years old. Please expect some vintage aspects, such as door handles, screens, windows, awnings etc. that function according to their age and we will be upgrading them periodically. These are not new modern trailers and we think that adds to the appeal! However they are clean and cozy! Your trailer is down by the pond, nearby is the large fire pit, composting outhouse, stove and BBQ grill. Our sweet wildlife pond is pristine, spring fed, and has an abundance of wildlife in and around it. You may even see the barred owls hunting for frogs at night. Both trailers are pondside, the El Rey is across from the Curtis Wright. Swimming is allowed, Please read the house rules regarding rinsing off prior to swimming and refraining from getting suntan oil etc. in the pond. We rent either the 1955 El Rey or our 1947 Curtis Wright Airstream. See our other listing for the second trailer. This listing is for the 1955 El Rey. This is our 1st year to offer the Curtis Wright Airstream, please see our other listing for it. It’s titled “Good Night Moon Vintage” Airstream Glamping. Nights can be chilly so be prepared with warm clothes. Please be aware of weather conditions as rain can impact your camping! That’s part of what makes it so fun to be inside a trailer instead of in a tent on the ground! However mud can be part of your experience outside the trailer. You are welcome to build a fire in the fire pit and toast marshmallows or grill....Kindling is plentiful around the grounds, however please purchase your wood locally for whatever you intend to use, or order from us. We do ask that you start your fire the old fashioned way and do NOT use gas, diesel etc. which will leech into the pond and harm our wildlife. We have charcoal bags and wood on site for sale usually, advance request is much appreciated and pay upon arrival by the bundle. Our wonderful resident bats do a great job at night clearing insects! Sit out by the pond and watch them arrive at dusk! Our Phoebe Flycatchers build their mud nests all over the property and have 2 baby bird hatchings usually by mid-summer. They help keep insects down as well. If it’s a clear night, the stars are usually amazing in the sky over the pond. We live up in the house and are available to you as much as you’d like! We prefer that you do contact us with your needs to ensure a great experience. We have a new composting toilet outhouse. For showers, guests can make the 5.7 mile drive down to Quechee State Park and pay a $4 day fee to use the solar showers which take quarters. We also have a freestanding shower enclosure that you may use with solar water bags that you will fill daily and heat when there is sun. It will take time so plan ahead. If it’s been cool or cloudy, the water will not be warm. This year 2020 we will be building our outdoor shower so stay tuned for photos when that is completed.
We are on a private road on a mountaintop so access is limited to just our guests and our neighbors. Wildlife abounds in the heavily wooded neighborhood. You might see deer, raptors, turkey, bear and occasionally moose as well as all sorts of birds, even Pileated Woodpeckers. Our Phoebe Flycatchers fledge near or in the summer kitchen each year. As a special treat, our Barred Owl fledglings were here every evening in July last year, you can still hear them at night sometimes well into the fall.
  • We had such a lovely time at El Rey! The airstream was super cozy and the fire pit was perfect.

The location is very beautiful and quiet, both Jim and Juli were lovely and provided lots of useful information about the area, and staying in a camper that was older than me was great fun and a unique experience. Highly recommended if you look for a place to get away from it all for a bit.

  • Wonderful and knowledgeable host, who also respects your privacy! Recommend.

  • Juli and Jim were great hosts and went out of their way to greek our arrival, despite several complicated issues causing us to arrive several hours later than expected, well after 9PM, but Juli nevertheless greeted us and walked us through the paces to take the most advantages of their well appointed clamping opportunity. And, although their property is deep in the Vermont woods, with a beautiful set up clamping site, offering only two basic trailers for separate couples, very comfortable sleeping arrangements, with a seperate, protected, covered food prep area, with modest refrigerator storage for two couples and sufficient meal support for cooking for several days of clamping, plus a large, clean and pleasant electronically operated outhouse styled toilet, outfitted with appropriate toiletries, keeping within an "outdoor, deep in the Vermont woods", setting, and eitherJuli or Jim are very often, unobtrusively present, nearby on their property to address any clamping issues to make your clamping experience exceptional. Make no mistake, this is "deep woods" campsite, clamping experience, in a beautiful, rural setting, in the best sense.

Cozy converted artists’ studio, tucked in the hills at the end of a country road. Open the French door to views of a sprawling garden and rolling fields, alight with fireflies in the spring and bursting with color in the fall. Warm yourself by the wood burning stove after winter fun or unwind with a local microbrew by the fire pit, listening to the Whippoorwills on a summer evening. Beautiful in all seasons, this modern, comfy cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all.
This spacious studio has a new, Tuft & Needle (OEKO-TEX, GreenGuard Gold, and CertiPUR-US certified) queen-sized bed, living area with wood burning stove, kitchen and dining area (table seats four), and separate bathroom with a shower stall. (Complimentary toxin-free soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided.) The couch pulls out to a full-sized bed. The space is best-suited for two people, but could sleep three comfortably. Please note, we do not provide a television, although streaming services can be accessed via WiFi if you bring your own device. The kitchen is well-stocked with a two-burner cooktop (but no oven), small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, pots and pans, plates, bowls, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils. Organic, fair-trade coffee, tea, and half-in half are ready for your use. We use only non-toxic cleaning products. You'll have lots of privacy as the studio is a good distance (~30 yards) from the main house, which is blocked from view by a row of lilac bushes. There are high ceilings and lots of windows with views of the garden and the valley. Walk out your door to the lovely garden and enjoy the hammock in our stand of mature apple trees. Our country road is great for short walks (past stone walls and pastures), and there are beautiful wooded trails for walking or snow-shoeing just a quarter-mile down the road. We recommend four-wheel drive vehicles for anyone visiting in winter: you must take several dirt roads and navigate a driveway that is steep and long to get to the cottage. We take reservations during the dreaded mud season (as the ground thaws and the dirt roads get rutty in late March and April), but suggest four-wheel drive (again) and an adventurous spirit. For more photos, look for us on Instagram @tunbridgecottage.
We are five minutes from the village of Tunbridge, VT, home of the country's oldest World's Fair (!) and a general store that sells delicious maple creamees. South Royalton (and the Vermont Law School) is a 10-minute drive and offers the best swimming holes along the White River, a wonderful co-op for groceries, organic, farm-fresh produce, Vermont cheeses, beer and wine (including local craft brews); yummy pastries and specialty, house-roasted coffee at First Branch Coffee; and the beloved Worthy Burger restaurant and bar. The charming village of Woodstock is 35 minutes away and Quechee, with its gorge, Simon Pearce, and antique mall is 30 minutes. Easy access to I-89 is about 15 minutes away. Other attractions: - Tastings and live music at Brocklebank Craft Brewing (20 minutes) - Strafford Nordic Center (20 minutes) - Woodstock, VT: quaint, walkable village with shops, restaurants, Billings Farm, Mount Tom, Nordic Center, and more (35 minutes) - Simon Pearce Flagship Shop and Restaurant (30 minutes) - Baking classes at King Arthur Flour (40 minutes) - Dartmouth College and Hanover, NH (40 minutes) - Skiing/Snowboarding at Suicide Six (35 minutes), Killington/Pico (1 hour), or Sugarbush (1 hr 15 mins) - Mountain biking trails - Long Trail / Appalachian Trail - Vermont Cheese Trail - Vermont Brewery Tour
  • Was a blast, great area

    Gabriel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful - cozy, remote, and clean. We truly felt like we were escaping the city, and felt right at home. Kate and Sean were super responsive to our questions, and recommended some great snowshoeing trails right near their property. They provided great suggestions for things to do and places to eat - go to The Worthy Burger! I would come back in a heartbeat - it was such a lovely experience.

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a cozy weekend getaway to unplug! Great little space, just enough for what you need. Lots of books and plenty of natural light. I absolutely recommend this spot!

    Courtney2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our little Vermont getaway and stay at Kate's place! Cottage was cozy, yet modern and had lovely eco-friendly touches! Beautiful with the snow covering all the trees and surrounding forest, felt very peaceful. Kate was a great host and provided us with plenty of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Definitely would book again next time we visit Vermont!

    Lauren2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend at Kate and Sean's cottage. It was totally clean and outfitted well, very comfortable and quiet, lots of interesting books. Sadly, there was not much snow for snowshoeing but the dirt roads and fields were great for walking and the wood stove made it cozy. Beautiful, quiet area - fields, woods, a few cows - and S Royalton is nearby with some good food and a market. Kate and Sean were responsive and helpful and we hope to be back!

    Brad2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kate's place is a wonderful escape, and still close enough to so many quintessential Vermont activities. It is obvious that Kate takes pride in her cottage, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying. The only regret is we couldn't stay longer!

    Nicholas2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was the coziest escape from the real world. We came to celebrate our anniversary and it was everything we could have asked for and more!

    Jailene2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Kate’s cabin and once again we had an amazing time. So cozy and we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

If you use instant book to start or end your stay on a Saturday, I will ask you to edit your dates. Thanks for working with me on this detail, I appreciate it! While I welcome pets in the apartment, please note that the pet fee is NOT included in the normal cleaning fee. Please notify me in advance and describe your pets for me to provide to you the cost of the pet fee. If you do not inform me that you are bringing pets in advance. It is quite easy for us to know they were there with extra hair and paw prints on the floor, which is why we charge the extra fee! Airbnb lists the lowest price available for the space so note that weekend rates or more desired seasons rates are higher. You will see your price when you request to book. I use Smart Pricing through Airbnb which means the nightly rates can fluctuate considerably. Driveway: please note that the driveway is steep. Our professionals regularly plow and sand (when snow is over 3 inches) but you might want to take extra precaution with choosing the vehicle you use or you can always park at bottom of the short driveway as well. We appreciate you moving cars around to allow for snow removal in winter months!

  • We stayed four nights at Tesha’s cabin - very cozy and well appointed. Very traditional cabin feel - just perfect! The kitchen was terrific - (even though we did not cook while staying there). We skied at Killington & Okemo - and her cabin was super convenient to both. The bed was wonderfully comfortable- great mattress, soft linens and warm comforter. We would highly recommend Tesha’s cabin - you will not be disappointed.

    Amy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a gem. Super cozy, clean, and comfortable, with great access to ski resorts. Communication with Tesha was quick and easy. Would love to stay again when back in the area!

    Jonny2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tesha has a great two bedroom cabin that is ideally situated on Rt. 100. The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans, dishes, glassware and appliances. Everything functioned well. The living room had plenty of comfortable space- great for reading. The bathroom is small, but has a wonderful shower that appears to be new. Very enjoyable stay and it offered good value. We would consider using Tesha's place again.

    Travis2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cabin with great location close to skiing. Tesha was great to work with. Will definitely look to book again in the future.

    Marty2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for ski trips to Okemo and Killington. It was amazing to be able to bring our dog for a very reasonable pet fee. The only downside is that it’s on the main road so if your dog is not great on voice command it’s a bit challenging to play fetch. Other than that, it’s a wonderful and secluded spot, and the house itself is very well-appointed. The kitchen was super well stocked with everything you need to cook including salt / pepper / spices. Just a great place to cozy up and enjoy Vermont. We hope to be back soon!

Not many places have a pool table in the living room which is open to the kitchen area, and has a fireplace with a Roku TV above the mantle.
Near Barnard and Silver Lake State Park. Close to skiing and VAST Snowmobile trails. Barnard Inn Restaurant is one of our favorites.

  • We were so impressed with the quick and thoughtful communication we had with Mandy and Rich. They are such nice hosts! We were in VT to spend Christmas with to our daughter and her family in Randolph. Mandy even in let our daughter come by to decorate before we arrived and then come back to remove the decorations afterwards. Their house is lovely, comfortable and even nicer than the photos indicated it to be. We weren’t there very much but we found it so comfortable and pleasant when we were there. The beds are extremely comfortable and that is a really important asset when you’re away from home. We were pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone staying in that area.

    Tammy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mandy was such a great host! Very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating! The house was so cute! The pics do not do it justice! Was so comfortable and had plenty of room for us. The fireplace was my favorite! Highly recommend this house!

    Erin2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Richard and Mandy’s place was perfect for our weekend ski trip. The place was even better than we had expected and the pictures don’t do it justice. The house comfortably fit the five of us and was very cozy. Richard and Mandy were very easy to get in touch with and always very helpful. Definitely would recommend and hope to be back soon.

  • Plenty of room for families to stay. Location is typical Vermont country setting. There is much to do within the area. Be prepared to drive back roads for easy access to many interesting things. Allow travel time for short distances with country roads that curve, descend and climb, with varrying speed limits.

It is a great place to relax after a day of skiing. Kate was a great host who responded very quickly to any questions we had. We definitely plan to come back next time we ski Sugarbush.

Please note that the cabin accommodates 4 people but there is a $15 charge for each additional person after 2 people (a person is 3 years old and up). We are a small working farm on 60 acres in Hartland, Vermont. We grow vegetables, have a small herd of dairy sheep and some very spoiled chickens. We also have some exceptionally cute Nigerian Dwarf goats. We like to share all the gifts of farm life with our guests. During your stay on the farm you can enjoy fresh farm eggs and whatever vegetables we have ready for harvest at the time of your visit. Each private cabin has it's own porch with Adirondack chairs overlooking our growing fields and the Vermont hills. All of the cabins have heat, air-conditioning, WIFI, and fully equipped kitchens. This cabin has a private bedroom with a queen bed, a private bathroom with a tub/ shower combo and a living area with a futon couch that pulls out into a full mattress, a small coffee table, and a kitchen island with two stools which serves as the dining table. Clean linens are provided. While this cabin is pet friendly, there is a $20/night per pet charge--please let us know if you plan on bringing any pets.
Suzy And Todd’s home is located in Windsor, Vermont, United States. The farm is located on a quiet dirt road. The dirt roads are great for strolling or bike riding. The scenery is full of rolling hills and beautiful farmland. We are close to many popular Vermont attractions. We are only 11 miles from both Woodstock and Quechee. There is always something fun to do in both Woodstock and Quechee including walking around Woodstock Village, visiting the Billings Farm and Museum, VINS, glassblowing at Simon Pearce, and Quechee Gorge. We are also a short drive from Ascutney Mountain, Hanover, New Hampshire and Dartmouth College, King Arthur Flour in Norwich, and Harpoon Brewery in Windsor. In the winter, there are plenty of opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the area. Our farm is right down the road from the VAST Trail System for snowmobiling and we are a 45 minute drive from both Killington and Okemo Mountains for downhill skiing.
  • If you're looking for a quiet get away with a beautiful view, this is the perfect place. Todd was a very easy going guy and we look forward to returning to the farm. The cabin was clean and updated and we were welcomed with eggs and scones. We also enjoyed a walk around the property in the snow covered woods. Next time we'll try out the fire pit. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

  • Fat Sheep Farm is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a country experience in Vermont. It is quiet and somewhat secluded, but not a far drive from any of the surrounding towns. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and cozy. The view from our front porch was beautiful and their 60 acre property was the perfect place to get our dog out for a walk. We hope to come back and enjoy Fat Sheep Farm in the warmer months!

  • Jane's place is cute, clean and efficiently organized. The quality matress, quiet surroundings, cleanliness AND a spacious fenced in back yard for my two precious doggy companions and a private porch made me feel more like home, than being away. If you need anything out of the ordinary ( wanted a cheese-grater) Janet will accommodate you swiftly. I can highly recommend Jane's place! My doggies and I will be back next year for sure. Thank you Janet for making our stay so pleasant.

  • If you want a good small town Vermont experience (without getting cow droppings on your shoe) this is great. It’s an old building but current with thermostat controlled heat and a small kitchen that more than met our needs.

  • We loved staying with John and Babo. Little touches like having our own drawer in the bathroom and a shelf in the shower made us feel welcome and at home. The stairs to the second floor are steep but their home is unique and has tons of natural light. Both John and Babo went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and respected our alone time but were also great company.

    Courtney2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • John's house is cozy and very inviting. He and his partner were very thoughtful hosts and made my stay feel like I was with family. Highly recommended!

  • I'm disappointed that I can't give higher ratings than five stars, because five isn't enough. The warm, open friendship and generous hospitality offered to me all weekend was the most wonderful experience I've had in years. John and his partner are an absolute delight, and were more than willing to either leave me be on my own, or engage in enjoyable conversation. They offered every little thing they could think of to make my stay more pleasant, and after only a couple of days I was genuinely disappointed to be leaving. If I'm back in the area again, this will be my place to stay.

  • John is a incredibly warm and welcoming host. He communicates wonderfully and is very accommodating. His home and property are lovely and the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s easily accessible off of a paved road. We highly recommend and would surely repeat if we come back to the area. Don’t miss a great maple creamee at the diner down the street or a nice cocktail at the tavern nearby.

  • John and his partner are wonderful hosts. They went the extra mile to make me feel at home. It was a delight to stay in their charming house and I was relaxed and comfortable there. Everything was great and I look forward to a return visit.

  • Thoughtful and very helpful with tips and driving directions to local sights. I felt comfortable right away & John and his partner made my mini-vacation a perfect, relaxing, creative getaway.
