Cultural Center
“You might recognize this modernist library as it’s commonly used as a backdrop for films, documentaries, and interviews with prominent cultural figures. It’s inside the Ateneu, a civil association founded in 1860 that promotes culture in the city. One of the more well-stocked libraries you’ll come across. The library is housed in the Palazzo Savassona, a manor house identified as having Cultural Interest and Historical Heritage of Spain. The library is decorated with mural paintings by Francesc Pla depicting mythological themes. The building itself is spectacular and well worth a visit.”
