  • We stayed in this house last night and it was absolutely perfect. We arrived around 6pm and were met by the owner who had put the log burner on for us arriving. It’s a lovely house and if we hadn’t needed to come home for work, we would have stayed another few nights. Thank you very much for having us and I’ll definitely recommend this house to anyone travelling in that direction.

Whyte Cottage is cosy, well-situated home located in the beautiful village of Bankfoot, roughly 8 miles north of Perth. The two-bed property is set up on a hill, offering generous scenic views of the surroundings, and benefits from plenty of natural light both upstairs and down. The perfect base to unwind, reconnect with nature and experience the best of Central Scotland: Pitlochry & the Cairngorms National Park to the north, St Andrews & Dundee to the east, Crieff & Loch Lomond to the west.
Being an old Scottish cottage built in the 1800s, the layout is somewhat atypical: the bedrooms are located downstairs, with the main living area situated upstairs – all the better to enjoy superb views from the living room or kitchen. Both of these rooms are open-plan, with a separate adjacent sun room. The bedrooms, meanwhile, are carpeted and comprise a double bed in one room and a twin in the other. The modernised bathroom include both a full-size bath and a power shower. All in all, it’s an inviting cottage perfect for couples, families or friends.
Bankfoot is a typical small, sleepy Scottish village with approximately 1,100 residents. Located 8 miles north of Perth and just 1 mile from the A9, it has all the essential amenities you might need during your visit, including a small grocery store, a couple of restaurants, and pubs. As you might expect, there are lots of places to walk and enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors; there are also lots of golf courses nearby.
  • It was a great place to stay. Brilliant!!

    Dyeyron2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is lovely, everything you need, it was very clean and spacious. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 2.5 year old son. The view is amazing, the location is perfect, a short drive from the lovely town of Perth. We also visited Dundee and St Andrews during our stay. Ed is a lovely host who greeted us upon arrival to show us around. Fast response, we requested to book on the day of arrival and was confirmed within minutes. Would highly recommend this place.

Feel welcome in this cosy Perthshire home. Your room offers you a memory foam mattress, wireless charging, clothes hanging rail and TV with an Amazon Fire stick. The lounge has a wood burner which you are welcome to enjoy with my loving dog, Rocky. The kitchen is modern and functional while the bathroom is spacious, as well as stylish. I'll provide enough for breakfast or you can pop across the road and pick up your supplies. Stanley has great access to Perth, or north up the A9.
Stanley is 15 minutes north of Perth, off the A9. It is 12 miles south of Dunkeld and 19 miles south of Pitlochry. It's a great stop off for any journey north or just a base to explore Perthshire from. The village is quiet and relaxed. There is a village store, Spar, Butcher and chemist on the same street. There's a pub nearby (2mins walk) if you fancy an evening beverage. The house is spacious with a wood burner, fully equipped kitchen and the bedroom is bright and comfortable. The photography displayed is my own. You're more than welcome to cook your evening meal in the kitchen or try the Tayside Hotel in the village. Relax in the bath and try out my organic hand wash with essential oils. The garden is a work in progress but offers a patio and space to enjoy some fresh air while you are here. My dog, Rocky is super friendly and welcomes you also.
Stanley is a charming village with the river Tay running past it. In fact Stanley village came to be because of the need for housing those who worked at the water mill. Maybe you'll visit the old water mill or enjoy the beauty of the Tay, while you are here. The Tay runs from Kenmore all the way to Dundee and is the biggest volume river in the UK. It was the river that drew me here but also the access to so many great walks. I host kayaking trips with full equipment from mid April until October on Loch Tay and soon to be Loch Achray.
  • Annie was very hospitable and friendly. Rocky was a super cool dog. The place was very warm and comfortable. Heavenly hosting 🙂

    Luke2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time with Annie who is a caring and friendly host. We loved warming up by the fire and chatting with Annie for the evening. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and the bed is very comfortable. :)

  • Really the best place to stay in this area. Annie is so lovely and kind. You feel home and taking a bath is really nice after a long day of walking. Definetly a great house to spend your night.

The country styled cottage is spacious and comfortable with 4 double bedrooms, two living rooms and a very large well equipped kitchen/dining room. The village has a very well stocked village shop and two welcoming pubs who serve local produce. Convenient for exploring Highland Perthshire, cycling, fishing, walking, shooting or golf.
We love our home and hope when you stay you will too. There are 4 doubles and a very sociable kitchen dining room that is great for lots of cooking and chatting. Both living rooms have a TV. The downstairs one is cosy with an open fire and the upstairs one is light and airy and looks out onto the garden at the back. The garden has steps leading up to a bbq area which gets sun well into the summer evenings.
Bankfoot is a quiet village with a shop and two pubs. It is popular with tourists who want to see beautiful scenery and the Scottish vibe.
  • We had a great stay here. Beautiful space, plenty for four adults and four kids, and the house was better equipped than any I have ever stayed in. Definitely a house for a celebration. Laura was a great host and easy to get hold of. Fantastic house, highly recommended.

  • A great house for a group of pals wanting to spend a weekend in Scotland together. The location is great as it’s easy to find and close to lots of fun stuff to do. We loved the big open plan kitchen/dining room which was perfect for cooking and eating dinner as a group. Thanks Laura!

  • Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is a cosy retreat and styled very with modern but warm furnishings. Located only 10 minutes from Perth City center, a taxi was only £10. Which made going out for dinner was easy and definitely a realistic option for staying here. Check in and out was easy and communication was clear and prompt. Fantastic entertainment facilities, beating many places we’ve stayed at that cost more. Great value and would stay again.

    Joshua2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, good location just 5-10 minutes outside Perth. Nice walks around the cottage and a kids play park in the village. All facilities were clean and fresh and the sofa bed is easy to use. We will be planning a repeat stay. Great base for Perth and the surrounding countryside.

    Jason2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Really good little cottage, well quipped with everything you need. All communications were great, check in was easy, and directions to find the house were really good. This is where I’ll be staying next time in in the area. 😊 Thank you

  • This is a beautiful cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing break (lovely living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and sun room - plenty of space in living room for our dog crate and for our dog to play with her toys) but also has loads of local info if you want a more action packed holiday. We stayed for five nights so we could attend Dougie MacLean's Perthshire Amber Festival in Dunkeld and we were sad to leave. We're about to rebook for a full week next year prior to the festival so we can explore the areas lovely walks etc... before heading to Dunkeld for the festival 😊

  • We had a lovely stay, the cottage was cosy and in a beautiful location. There is loads to do in this area. A really great air bnb.

This first floor apartment has open views across a tiny rural Scottish village close to Murthly Castle and the River Tay. It's great for anyone who has friends getting married at Murthly Castle or fishermen, as both are in walking distance. There is a large open garden behind the property but you'll probably rather be walking along the banks of the river, fishing or exploring Scotland. It sleeps 4 people, 2 in king size bed in the bedroom and 2 in the generous double sofa bed in the lounge.
This is a surprisingly spacious one bedroom first floor flat in the desirable hamlet of Caputh. The flat has recently been decorated and is very light, benefiting from open countryside views to the front and rear. The flat has double glazing, and central heating. Access is via a turret! The flat also has its own parking space and a section of garden. Please note we offer the property at a rock bottom price and as such does not have a TV or WiFi. The hamlet of Caputh lies approximately four miles of Dunkeld and also offer easy access to Perth and also the surrounding Perthshire countryside with good road and public transport links to Dunkeld, Perth and beyond. • Well Proportioned Living Room • Double Bedroom • Kitchen • Bathroom • Double Glazing • Communal Parking Area for Residents • Garden Ground + Shed
Incredible peace, wonderful stars and the mighty river Tay on your doorstep.
  • Good accommodation

    Adrián2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Emma the landlady could not have been more helpful and flexible with my booking. This a spotlessly clean property but very basic. That is in no way a criticism as this is reflected in the price. I thought it was great value for money and I will be back.

    Climbing2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay, close to some good dog walks, everything you could ever need in the kitchen and a great location!

    Zara2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice flat in a lovely little village, it was ideal for exploring the area. The bed is indeed incredibly comfy - we may have had an unplanned nap as soon as we lay down after arriving! The flat is clean and the neighbours are very helpful. I would've liked a cosier living room for the wintry evenings but other than that it was a brilliant stay.

    Ellie2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Emma's place is a perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms or nearby Dunkeld Forest and Loch Tay. Great location, well connected by road but very peaceful and lovely views across fields out the front and back. Very pretty walks along the River Tay just a few minutes away, but for anything else (shopping etc) you'd need a car - there is a bus stop right beside the house, but we were driving so never used it. Emma's downstairs neighbour was lovely and really helpful with everything, and the flat itself is spotlessly clean, warm, cosy and comfortable (especially the bed!), with a really well equipped kitchen. There's no WiFi and almost no mobile reception in the house, but we actually liked having the chance to disconnect! Great value for money and Emma couldn't have been more helpful and responsive with messages etc. Highly recommended, thanks Emma and Kirsten!

    Sarah2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve been at Emma’s apartment for the second time already, and everything was as nice as the first time. A great place in Perthshire!

    Eva2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location for sight seeing, comfortable and clean, friendly and welcoming check in. It was great to be cut off from the internet and be away from the TV. Looking forward to a return visit next year.

St Abbs is in a really good situation, easy walking distance from railway station and bus stop. It's just around the corner from the renowned Birnam Arts Centre and Beatrix Potter exhibition and garden. There's a good choice of nice eating places close by. I live in the house also, though sometimes I am away. Guests are free to access the living room where there is a log fire- there's a piano and guitars which are there to be played! There is parking in the driveway or on the street.
There are 3 steps to the front door, and the bedroom is upstairs. This accommodation is best suited to 2 people or a single guest, however can accommodate a baby in same room if this is required. A cot is available. The bedroom is next to the shared bathroom. There are books, a selection of maps, tea and coffee making facilities, etc, in the bedroom. If guests want to make a light meal or packed lunch the kitchen is available on request. There's seating in the garden and guests are welcome to sit out and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine there. It's a peaceful area and quiet at night.
Birnam is a lovely village and Dunkeld is just a short walk away. There are lots of fantastic walks and cycle runs from the house. You don't even need to get into the car. There's a network of footpaths. The Hermitage is nearby, and many other tourist attractions, including Dunkeld Cathedral, Birnam Arts Centre, Beatrix Potter garden and exhibition, Taybank Hotel. The Aran bakery of Great British Bake Off fame is a delicious side track. There's a good deli and plenty of eating places. The beautiful River Tay is minutes from the house and the footpath from there will take you by the Birnam Oak along to the impressive Telford's bridge and across it to Dunkeld. Birnam is a great base to explore further afield. It's on the main rail and bus routes line and so a day return ticket will see you comfortably in Inverness, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Some guests stay for more than a night and are glad they did. Many guests wish they'd booked for longer. However long you stay I'm confident that you'll love what this area has to offer and be glad you chose to visit.
  • Karen is a wonderful host, and her home is very nice. It is conveniently located near the station, conference centre, and town. It was quiet and comfortable at night, and Karen was so thoughtful to prepare some breakfast as well. She was quick to reply to my messages and very welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend staying with her!

  • I absolutely loved my stay at Karen's place. She was warm, friendly and always open to have a good conversation! Not to mention the room and her home were clean and neat. The house is a very short walk from the train station and within easy walkibg distance of both Birnam and Little Dunkeld. Wish i had had time to stay longer and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the area!

  • Lovely modern apartment in a rural and quiet location. Perfect base for enjoying tourist attractions around Perthshire and the Pitlochry area.

    Kerry2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous few days at The Garry. Mary communicated quickly with us and responded to a question we had. The apartment is in an ideal location, really not far off the A9 and easier to find than we thought. We spent a lot of time exploring the nearby beauty spots...lochs, waterfalls, rivers... and The Garry is only 30 mins drive from many attractions around Perth, Dunkeld and Pitlochry. The apartment itself was immaculate, with all the essentials for a self catering stay. There were lovely welcome gifts in the fridge and cupboard to get us going. It was warm, cosy and felt like a real country retreat. We have stayed in many Airbnbs around the world and this is definitely a winner! We heartily recommend The Garry!

I arrived later than planned but the owner was understanding and left a key out for me. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I even slept in because the bed was so comfy- and that’s unusual for me!

  • We stayed at The Ordie for the Solheim Cup at Gleneagles. It was perfect for us. Everything was provided, even small items, and we were grateful for the basic supplies when we arrived. Mary was a lovely host, very approachable. We had no problems but knew she would help if we did. The local pub was very friendly and found us a table even when they were busy and we arrived late.

    Margaret2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s property is stunning, and very well equipped for a party of 4. It was easy to find thanks to the clear instructions provided. Our 2yr old was thrilled with the swings and slide outside, and we all appreciated the views and beautiful surroundings. Communication was excellent, and the supplies left in the fridge were a great touch. We travelled for work, and the apartment was convenient and suited our requirements perfectly. Thank you!

The master bedroom is spacious yet comfortable with a double bed, free standing wardrobe and chest of drawers. The other two bedrooms (1x double & 1x single), keeping with the cottage theme, have beautiful wooden furnishings. Sleeps 5. Some comments from our lovely guests: "Perfect place for a stay in the area" "We had a great weekend here. It's a brilliant location - we took the car but you could easily travel by train because there's a station at Birnam." "If you want comfort, cosy, rest and relaxation - Couthie is perfect!"
This 3-bedroom cottage in the charming village of Birnam, just a short walk from Dunkeld, has been beautifully renovated whilst still retaining the charm of a farm cottage, with natural beams in the lounge and the shared colonial style open courtyard through an arched driveway. The property is a great base for exploring Highland and Lowland Perthshire or indeed further afield. However if you do not fancy travelling far then all amenities are close at hand, from shops, restaurants & pubs to the Birnam Arts Centre. There's plenty to do here but it's also a wonderful spot to take a break and relax.
Couthie Cottage is located in the village of Birnam, just a short walk across the River Tay from the ancient cathedral town of Dunkeld. Continuing in tradition, in August 2018 Birnam will host its 154th Annual Highland Games so be sure to not miss out! Birnam and Dunkeld boast an array of sports; whether it's canoeing & whitewater rafting down the Tay or indeed fishing for salmon when the season begins. Keen walker and cyclists will be pleased to hear that Perthshire is famous for its remarkable woodland areas, and are said to have inspired Beatrix Potter to create the character of Peter Rabbit on one of her many rambles. Birnam Arts Centre has created their own Beatrix Potter Garden to inspire a further generation in this picturesque setting. Those looking for another perfect photo opportunity, however, should head to The Hermitage, which contains Ossian's Hall of Mirrors and overlooks the magnificent Black Linn Falls. For family days out check out Active Kids in Stanley or the Willowgate Activity Centre in Perth too.

  • If you are looking for a simple place to get away in an amazing location this is the place to be! Lorna is a fabulous host, great communication, great instructions in the house, everything is there for you. This is a special spot. Thanks!

    Daniel2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lorna’s cottage was really nice, stylish and bright. The kitchen was well equipped! I have to say that it’s not very easy to find the cottage with google maps, but neighbours were kind and helpful and also Lorna of course! I highly recommend that cottage!

    Rein2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous cottage in a beautiful part of the world. Cooking on the Aga is an absolute joy and the open fire a huge hit with my family. Beautifully clean and furnished throughout. I highly recommend.

    Emma2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lornas Cottage was lovely. We didn’t miss anything and felt at home. The Aga was great; it brought back childhood memories, as my Granny used to have one. We enjoyed the nature and the tranquillity. Our 2 children loved flying the kite in front of the cottage, and watching the gamebirds. We would definitely recommend the cottage to everyone that enjoys nature and tranquillity.

    Samuel & Simone2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely! It looks just like in the pictures. It was very cosy and made relaxing even easier. The kitchen is very well equipped and the oven works well too. Another highlight were the animals we were able to see in the garden (especially the pheasants as there were plenty). I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone who would like to spend some quiet time in a comfortable home surrounded by nature.

    Isabelle2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely, cozy home with beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable. We were a little surprised by the handheld shower, but it was very quaint and quite lovely once we got used to it. It was quiet and peaceful but still close to several villages with good restaurants and interesting things to see and do. All in all, a good experience.

    Amy2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Cairnmuir Cottage. We were looking to escape the city to rural Scotland and Lorna's place was the perfect retreat. The cottage was stunning! It has a real wow factor as you pull up. (You access the cottage by passing through a farm yard, and up a farm track so may not be suitable for all cars). The house is well equipped and we had everything we needed to make our week long stay pleasant and enjoyable. The wood fire was a real bonus on cold September evenings. Daisy (dog) loved running around on the grass surrounding the cottage. The garden is not enclosed, and there are game birds in the surrounding fields, so wouldn't be suitable for all dogs. The host Lorna was fab. We had a small issue with the aga and it was quickly resolved. It didn't detract from our stay at all. The local Perthshire countryside is beautiful, and there are many places to visit within an hour's drive. You can also get to The Trossachs and the coast in just over an hour. A great base for our Scottish adventure!

  • What an incredible place in the lovely Scottish countryside. My family had a great time and Mitch was kind enough to meet us upon arrival, showing us around the place and offering up some local places to check out. The house was clean, presentable, and comfortable.

  • This is a beautifully renovated, very spacious cottage. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the welcoming touches such as fresh cut flowers, bread and honey as well as all essentials. The Local hotel serves good food. All in all highly recommended.

    Deborah2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage, clean environment throughout including bathroom, shower/toilets bedrooms and the kitchen/diner. Lovely setup in all the rooms, great combination of furnishings ( real home away from home) specious and well located in a quiet area. I was beautifully surprised as the pictures do not do the cottage justice. Great internet connection, local restaurants, amenities. For us it was centrally located and perfect for the areas that we were visiting (reasonable travel time to make day visits to part of the Highlands and to other Scottish cities and attractions. There are also several local attractions if you just want to explore the area including some natural sceneries.

A top quality and stylish refurbishment of an 1895 cottage, with hot tub and tennis court. Family and pet friendly, but also comfortable and filled with high quality furnishings. In the center of Scotland, the town of Perth is only 20 mins away, with a hospital, theatre, concert hall and a good mix of national and independent retail. We have 4 whisky distilleries and 6 castles all within 1 hour drive. There are beautiful hill walks close by, and a river at the bottom of the garden.
Treat yourself at Logie Cottages: we provide soft fluffy towels and complimentary spa slippers to go from the house to the cottage. We can sleep 6 adults, plus a child, plus a baby. But if you are just 2 people, it will still feel cosy and romantic. We provide logs for the fire, there is new central heating throughout and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. We have a traditional pub in the village just 8 minutes walk or 2 minutes in the car, which serves simple home made food Friday-Sunday. There is great biking round here, both off and on road and wonderful walks.

There is also the ancient royal town of Dunkeld only 20 minutes away, with artisan bakeries and a deli. We have 4 whisky distilleries and 6 castles all within 1 hour drive. • Such a gorgeous cottage. Had a lovely weekend with friends and can’t wait to go back!

    Emma2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina was a brilliant host, explaining everthing to us so there was no issues. She even wrote us a hand drawn map for our walk, which was lovely . We were also able to check out later which made our stay 10x more relaxing. The house was really well decorated and homeley and the hottub was wonderful. We even had a wee peacock pal come and say hello to us! The small touches really made it- having a full spice rack meant cooking for 4 friends had all the flavour of home. Great value for money- fantastic weekend.

    Rebecca2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed if visit Logie Cottage, Georgina made us feel very welcome on arrival and the cottage itself is exactly as described and very homely and cosy. The hot tub is a big plus and we all enjoyed having fun in the tennis court :) The setting is beautiful and so relaxing and we will definitely be visiting again sometime in the future.

    Carl2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I met for a weekend reunion. The cottage is immaculate and you have everything you need and more! We had a great time and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Georgina 😊

    Jasmine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful decorated cottage in stunning countryside and we really enjoyed our time there. My teenage children especially loved the hot tub! The robes and slippers in each bedroom were a lovely touch. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break, but is easy driving distance to shops and places to visit. I’d definitely visit again and Georgina is a great host

    Phillippa2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was a real find. Beautiful location, cosy, well equipped, lots of thoughtful extras and super comfy beds. Fab hot tub, tennis court and resident Peacock, Albert! We loved the garden, peace and tranquility. Kids loved snuggling on the sofas with board games and Netflix on rainy days. Georgina was super host checking we had everything we needed, even grabbed some bits from the shop for us, and gave us recommendations of places to visit. We’ll definitely be back!

    Natasha2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend in this lodge! It is even more beautiful than what you see in the pictures. Georgina is incredibly friendly and organised, providing timely communication and instruction before check in. The house is incredibly clean, and furnished to a very high standard. The hot tub was a lovely addition, and as we had poor weather we spent most of our time in the sheltered area. We also enjoyed the company of the pet peacock!

This cottage is simply delightful. Newly renovated with great style and comfort the cottage exudes quality. The drawing room has been cleverly situated on the first floor allowing you to enjoy the beautiful river views and with its welcoming wood burner this is a great spot to enjoy the sound of the river. The cottage retains some lovely original features such as tongue and groove lined walls, stone flagged floors and old fireplaces.
Miss Ballantine caught the UK record largest salmon in front of her cottage. You can relax in the living room watching as fishers attempt to match her record. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a basin and comforrable king sized bed. Next door is a large, comfortable living room with window seats, wood burning stove and views of the river Tay and Birnam Hill. Downstairs are a further two twin bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet, eat in kitchen and drying room. o Beds are made up with beautiful linens o All bathroom towels o Electricity, water and heating o Logs for the wood-burners o Firelighters and matches o Tea and coffee plus milk and sugar to make a cup after your journey o Salt and pepper o Cling film and tinfoil o Cottages are “dressed” for Christmas from the beginning of December o Washing up liquid, multi surface cleaner, dishwasher tablets, rinse aid, laundry liquid, and toilet cleaner o Hand soap, shower gel and toilet paper o Dishcloths, oven mitts, tea towels o Bin liners and bags for recycling o Wifi o Maps and suggested activities nearby
The cottage is right beside the river Tay and a walk along the banks at Caputh is highly recommended. We love visiting the Hermitage in Dunkeld, the deli and the butcher are also worth a visit. You should definitely spend some time exploring the small shops there. Further away you should visit Blair Castle, Scone Palace and Glamis Castle.
  • Lorna’s place was absolutely great for a family get together - plenty of space and great views across the river!

    Jennie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a windy/rainy/snowy February weekend but the bad weather just added to the cozyness sitting on the window seat with the log fire on, watching the river roar by, we still braved interludes in the weather to walk the paths either side of the river with the kids and dog. Very spacious house lovely big bedrooms and kitchen, roasting hot bath, it really was a great wee break away from home x

    Karen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent and quiet location, plenty of walks along both sides of the river immediately in front of the house. The house was very clean and homely, with beautiful relaxing nights in front of the fire. Plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, Dunkeld and the hermitage waterfall being my 2 favourite.

    Daniel2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, charming house, full of character. Fabulous views from the sitting room, of the River Tay. House was well equipped, and has furniture sympathetic to the era of the house, adding to the charm. Pleasantly surprised to also have all the necessities we needed for our stay including an abundance of wood for the wood burner- which was on for most of our stay due to the weather typical for Scotland at this time of the year! All the bedrooms were spacious, the double was very comfortable indeed. This house is in an excellent location for exploring local areas- The picturesque town of Dunkeld was one- it has wonderful boutique shops, pubs, and fantastic bakeries. Location was also great if visiting with children, we visited the Beatrix Potter Exhibition and the Activekids farm, both fantastic.

  • Lorna’s house is absolutely beautiful. We had a great time there - it’s such a comfortable and warm space for an autumn break. The wood burning fire was so cosy and there are amazing views over the river. The kitchen is very well equipped. The local area is beautiful, lots of wildlife, lovely walks and places to eat. Lorna was fantastically quick at responding to any messages and getting back to us. Thank you! :)

    Annie2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with walks all to your self right on the doorstep. Log fire was great, also handy having the central heating to warm the other rooms up. Would definitely stay again as it was just right for our family and 2 little doggies.

    Adam2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The setting for this house is amazing - it's right on the banks of the river Tay, and the view from the living room is fantastic. Lots to do in this area, so good for adults and kids. The house is decorated and furnished in a style sympathetic with when it was built (19th century), using pre-loved furniture and minimal fuss, and the overall effect is lovely. The rooms are bright and spacious, and the bootroom for coats and muddy boots was very useful. The wifi was weak and didn't always extend to the downstairs bedrooms, although some apps managed better than others.

  • Gordan and Kate's place was perfect and the communication was spot on from the get go! We had a wedding at the Dunkeld House Hotel and it served as the perfect base for us to hang our hats! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this air bnb for a minute. Thanks again for having us! : )

Ladyhill House is situated in the pretty Perthshire village of Birnam, and is the main part of a traditional baronial mansion house which has been refurbished to the highest standard. A perfect destination for a comfortable and relaxing holiday with luxurious 4-star self catering facilities, accommodating up to eight people. Stripped wooden floors, traditional marble-surround open fires, together with original ornate cornicing and wooden shutters give this house an elegant ambience showing its historic past. The combination of bright, fresh décor and beautiful antique furniture makes this a delightful and comfortable holiday house for families and friends to enjoy each other’s company.
Despite its peaceful location, the house is only a short walk to the historic town centres of Birnam and Dunkeld with a delightful range of historic buildings, interesting shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, and host to a variety of music and arts events throughout the year.
  • Lady's Hill is fantastic and the host show a true generosity of spirit throughout. I would highly recommend it.

    Margot2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ladyhill is a fabulous stone house which has the "wow" factor on arrival. Our hosts thoughtfully left a lovely welcome basket and the place was spotlessly clean with toiletries and spare supplies on hand. The location is superb. The Birnam Oak is a short walk through woodland next to the house. The centre of Birnam is at the bottom of the road, with Dunkeld a 15 minute walk along the River Tay. We also walked to the Hermitage and the Loch of Lowes. Pitlochry (and Ben Vrackie) is a short drive away. Dunkeld is a lovely small town, with its cathedral situated by the banks of the Tay. We enjoyed several picturesque picnics alongside the river, with food from the local chippy too as well as a pub lunch at the river terrace of the Atholl Arms. Highly recommend both Ladyhill and Birnam/Dunkeld to all.

    Elaine2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Christine’s house is amazing. Whenever you enter the warmth and comfort welcomes. Everything and everywhere was absolutely spotless. We were a family of six adults and three children ranging in age from one to 70 and we all had a great time. The children had endless fun in the garden. I would thoroughly recommend Christine’s place and hope to return in the future.

    Doreen2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Way beyond our expectations. This was a fairytale home to explore with our boys. Every detail was thoughtfully places, from the fresh lilies in every room to the board games to the Hebridean soaps. We will definitely be back!!!!

We are near the village of Dunkeld and our property is surrounded by open fields and pretty woodland where there are lovely walks. Dunkeld is a lovely historic village on the banks of the River Tay and is famous for its ancient cathedral and pretty National Trust cottages. Visit the Beatrix Potter centre in Birman and the salmon smokehouse or Menzies the local deli for fine Scottish food and its tapas bar. There are several bistros, restaurants and cafes and a wonderful bakery Owned by the runner up of Great British Bake-off!... our guests often go there for breakfast or afternoon tea!
  • Rosemary's cottage is a lovely self contained wing of her pretty farmhouse. In early morning or evening the deer come down from the woods to nibble the grasses outside the garden. The walks up the lane leading to Loch of Lowes are of outstanding natural beauty. The cottage is fairly spacious for 2 and although we stayed 4 nights we managed fine with the microwave! For eating out Dunkeld offers a different venue every day of the week+ the excellent' bake off' tea shop. The cottage has a huge range of books and the most comfortable bed.

  • Rosemary's place is on a beautiful farm with ducks and chickens in the garden. The setting is stunning and just a few minutes to some great walks and Dunkeld village itself. It's really quiet, quirky snd cosy and Rosemary was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go back.

  • A quiet retreat with lots to read and amazing countryside outside the door. This is a self-contained guest suite consisting of bathroom, bedroom and living/dining room with fridge and microwave. It's nestled in a beautiful garden with various pets and chickens/ducks roaming around, and there is space to sit outside. Well equipped inside with everything you might need, a very comfy double bed, good Wifi and peace and quiet. the owners are friendly and are there to help but will leave you to get on with things yourself if that's what you prefer. Would very much recommend.

  • Beautiful little cottage in a stunning location, only about a 10-15 minute walk from Dunkeld. Rosemary was a very accommodating and thoughtful host, quick to reply to any questions I had about / during our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday. My husband and I made the most of our time there by walking to / from Dunkeld and the surrounding forests and countryside.

    Sarah2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemary and her husband have a lovely, cosy cottage suite about 10mns walk away from Dunkeld. It’s a charming, private space to relax in after exploring the area, and there is even a small outdoor space in which to enjoy the summer sunshine. We were welcomed warmly and Rosemary provided other recommendations which were excellent. The ducks and sheep were an added bonus!

    Linda2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is perfect for a short visit. It’s a short walk into Dunkeld and a lovely location in the countryside. We loved seeing the ducks and the deer. For a longer stay we would probably go for somewhere with a kitchen, but the microwave and kettle were good and there’s plenty of places in town to eat.

    Julie2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • All good. Had a very nice stay and was well looked after.

    Graham2019-03-11T00:00:00Z

  • Fantastic location for walking along the River Tay. Our kids took their bikes and we explored lots of paths. Head towards the Birnam Oak, and beyond it is another play park...as well as the one next to the primary school. Dunkeld itself is a bustling town with lovely restaurants and cafes. We visited the Cathedral and cycled to Dunkeld House. Lots to do here...and we were a 10min walk from Dunkeld, along the river path and over the bridge. Would visit again...

Welcome to 119 The Glade, our privately owned lodge on the beautiful Erigmore Estate by the River Tay in Dunkeld at the entrance to the Scottish Highlands. It offers the highest quality self-catering accommodation along with access to superb facilities such as a bar, swimming pool and children's play areas. This stunning holiday lodge offers fantastic accommodation for families or up to four adults in one double and one twin room, each with their own bath/shower room.
Dunkeld marks the start of the Highlands and our Perthshire holiday lodge in the heart of Scotland offers everything you could wish for from a Scottish holiday or break. Our family have lived in the historic villages of Dunkeld and Birnam for nearly 90 years and when we moved to the South West Of England we purchased 119 The Glade so that we could retain our links with area and our friends. It is very much our home from home and when we are not there we are very happy to give others the opportunity to enjoy this special place. 119 The Glade is located on the beautiful Erigmore Estate by the River Tay. As this is a privately owned lodge your booking will be direct with us and not the estate but you have full access to the estate facilities, including use of the swimming pool and sauna as well as the excellently stocked bar. The lodge is perfect for families or up to four adults. There is one double and one twin room, each with it's own bath/shower room. The luxury kitchen is fitted with an integrated dishwasher, double oven and combination microwave making eating in a pleasure, while flat screen televisions in every room, along with blue ray, dvd and a surround sound system in the sitting room mean entertainment is just a flick of the remote away. The decking area is ideal for al fresco dining or just relaxing, while the barbecue is ready and waiting for those warm summer evenings. There is a small utility room with a sink as you enter the lodge. A coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer are available in Erigmore's laundry room. The lodge has central heating as well as an electric wall heater in the lounge.
The twin villages of Dunkeld and Birnam have long been a favourite destination for travellers. Situated on the River Tay they boast stunning scenery at the entrance to the Highlands as well as being steeped in history. Walk along the bank of the river into Dunkeld and you will pass by the historic Birnam Oak, which survives from the original Birnam Wood immortalised in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Look across the river and you will see the original Mr Mcgregor's garden from Beatrix Potter's Tales of Peter Rabbit. In Birnam itself there is a a dedicated exhibition to her links with the area as well as a garden containing many of her most famous characters. The exhibition is housed in Birnam Arts a splendid venue for all sorts of events and concerts and where you can enjoy coffee cake and light lunches. A walk across the magnificent bridge built in the 17th century by Thomas Telford will take you in to Dunkeld with its beautiful cathedral, historic houses, and excellent range of shops and hotels. We particularly recommend Aran Bakery which is run by Great British Bake Off semi finalist Flora Shedden - great bakes, great treats, great coffee ! And just a short distance from the village you will find the Loch of The Lowes wildlife reserve, home to breeding Ospreys, and the stunning Hermitage waterfalls.
  • Perfect as base to explore Perthshire. Really good accommodation, very comfortable and easy to keep. Access to pool area a real asset.

  • Sally's house is perfect for large groups and there is plenty space. We had 3 days of torrential rain and howling wind, but the house never felt crowded with 7 adults, 3 teens, 2 kids and 2 dogs. Only sorry we couldn't make better use of the fab outdoor space. Highly recommend the Whinnies.

  • For large family get together, this is an ideal house to hold them. Sitting on the outskirts of Perth, five minutes drive to the nearest shops. There is a large garden and parking for around four or five cars, depending on size. The house is well facilitated in all aspects.. Thoroughly enjoyable!

  • We all had a wonderful time at Sally's place. It is was so spacious for our big family group with every thing one could need for an excellent holiday. My son in law loved the BBQ and the garden was a big safe place for the children to play. The view out over the Tay was delightful with a lovely walk along the river bank in both directions and king fishes darting over the water. Its position close to Perth and the A9 made outings easy and, although we never met with Sally, she was very helpful and left clear instructions necessary for our stay in her lovely house.

  • A lovely house in an ideal location! The house is well furnished/stocked with everything we needed and more - the games and books were much used! It was the perfect home for our extended family during our week in Scotland. Sally was quick to reply fully to any questions, and we would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Sally!

  • We had a superb week with our family to celebrate our 60th birthdays. There were 11 adults and 6 children under 4. There was lots of space indoors and outside in the garden. It is a great location with lots of things to do within a 15-30min drive. Thanks so much.

This award winning eco friendly space is a haven for you and your friends and/or family. There are five lovely bedrooms - each with its own en suite. The Woodstore is a superking or twin and wheelchair accessible with en suite wet room. The Stables sleeps four - either in 4 singles (two in a bunkbed) or a super king size bed and bunkbed. This has a large walk in shower, double basins and loo in the en suite. The Coop sleeps one with a shower and loo in the en suite and great views to the East. The Loft sleeps three adults and a child or two adults and two children. The bunkbed in this room is too low to fit two adults. Access to this room is up stone steps. The en suite to this room has a large shower, beautiful wooden bath and double basins. Bedroom five, the Top Byre sleeps two adults in a superking or twin beds, and also has a large shower and loo en suite. There is a large kitchen with lots of natural light leading on to a lovely courtyard with a covered seating area. On rainy days adults and children alike can play table tennis, skip, build towers and play skittles in the barn. I can also organise an "Escape the Barn" activity for your group if interested. Test your mental skills! This is also a great room to do a course in crafts or flowers and more. Let me know if you would like to know more about the activities our collaborators can offer you.
Burmieston is close to Perth, Scone Palace, Dunkeld, and Crieff. We are about an hour and a half from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are in a bit of a secret glen. There are very few cars, just the occasional tractor. Yet we are close to the fabulous golf courses around Auchterarder such as Gleneagles, as well as the tourist attractions of Scone Palace, Dunkeld and Birnam and Crieff. Blair Castle at Blair Atholl and Pitlochry are also great options for day trips.
  • We stayed at Keesje and Olly’s place for new year as a group of 10. It was the perfect location to bring in the new year! Olly was waiting on us arriving so check-in was seamlessly easy. The property is split across various converted farm buildings so each couple had their own space but we were all very close to one another. The courtyard is also a great space for large groups to hang out in, and if the night is clear you may see a shooting star or two! All in all a great trip and would stay again!

  • We spend a weekend at Burmieston in November to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with some friends. There were 9 adults and 3 children altogether. It was absolutely perfect, Olly was really welcoming. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are warm and the showers are awesome. The place is full of beautiful details, you can tell how much love and care has gone into the renovations. I will definitely return.

  • booked as a family weekend getaway, everyone loved the quirky features in each room. the living space was nice and cosy, shame about the weather or we would have made use of the outside space more. host were welcoming and really helpful before and during booking. we ate at the chapelhill inn one night which was delicious (10% off when staying at Burmieston), cheats it's outside appearance! Also booked the Escape Barn with Drew which was great fun. thoroughly challenged our brains!

  • Great space to host a group of people, beautiful setting with lovely walks, feels remote but equally not too hard to get to! Really clean and thoughtfully planned and designed. Thanks so much Keesje and Olly!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Burmiestoun Steading! The accommodation was perfect and setting stunning. Sparkling clean and full of interesting decor. Very comfy beds. Great to get away from the city and back to nature. Keesje and Olly were extremely helpful. We even got to plant a tree. Will definitely be back. Thank you both so much.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Keesje and Olly's. The children (5 of them!) really enjoyed the 'den" (recreation room) and we all loved having our own clean room and our private bathroom
