  • Lovely stay in Austin. Welcoming garden and sweet lodging awaited us after a long, hot drive. Marcella's delicious toffee was an added treat. Her suggestions for dinner and places to explore were much appreciated! Perfect place in keeping with the "Keep Austin Weird" mantra! Thanks!

    Kay2014-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Simply amazing :)

    Ali2013-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The airstream was absolutely perfect! Marcella was incredibly kind, and I had a blast on my short trip!

    Jessica2014-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a few nights in Austin TX, living in Marcella's backyard RV. Austin was great, but these people made it amazing! The RV was clean and with good AC. It was decorated with nostalgia- making the stay somewhat magic. The fact that Marcella and Meredith had roosters, hens, chickens, two giant dogs, two kittens, a pot-belly pig named Fern made the stay very fun! (If you're not an animal fan- don't worry, the animals are kept away from the RV) Marcella was a great and helpful host. Thank you for a great stay in Austin :)

    Theodor2013-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed from July 27- 29. It was my birthday weekend and staying at Marcella's made it the best. The airstream was adorable and the backyard was just the same. Pepper the kitten was an excellent host that kept us entertained as we tried to stay out of the heat. We are looking forward to visiting again.

    Melissa2013-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great little space in a great location. We didn't spend much time on the property. It was a cool setup and we had total privacy. Wish we could have met the owners, but our paths never crossed. BTW Cherrywood Coffeehouse (few miles away) very good brunch, but gets busy quick.

    Aaron2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • I definitely recommend this adorable airstream! The atmosphere is magical- from the cute decor to the beautiful yard filled with dogs, chickens, and a cute lil pig. I am so happy that we were able to soak up some of the good energy while we stayed here. The location was accessible and traveling from the home was easy. We did not get a chance to speak with our hosts much, but we admire their family and their values. We hope to stop by again in the future.

    Ellet2013-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was very short however I wish it had been longer. Their garden is amazing and tranquil, I felt as if I were at a beautiful retreat somewhere exotic. The little grey kitty was my most favorite furry friend in the garden but had time permitted, I am sure I would have loved the whole family of animals there on site. The toffee was absolutely amazing, I ordered some off Marcella's Etsy page to take back to my family. The airstream greeted us on our late arrival with its Christmas light path and once inside, the cuteness and charm was emitting from every corner. The attention to the small details, allowing for all of our small needs was great. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my fellow travelers. This was my first time using Airbnb and as long as there is an option where I am going, I will choose to travel through Airbnb again and again.

  • Bill's place is not only a great place to stay - so much nicer than a hotel - but also in a pleasant neighborhood in walking distance to the South Congress attractions. These of course include good food, interesting shops and occasionally great music!

    David2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bill's place was amazing! The location was great, down a quiet street right next to South Congress. The decor was fantastic too, and we enjoyed the pool to cool off. We'd definitely stay again!

  • Our experience could not have been better, everything was exactly as described. Check-in and check-out were simple, the home was beautiful and the pool was fantastic. We'll definitely be staying here again on subsequent trips to Austin.

Our beautiful, minimalist Tiny House is a comfortable home base for tourists and business travelers. We look forward to hosting you in the heart of East Austin, just 1.5 miles from the convention center, and 10 minutes from the airport.
The Kanga Tiny House comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a queen bed. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Heads up - spring 2016 is dedicated to wrapping up landscaping around the Kanga Tiny House. The paved walkway was a huge improvement (completed January 2016) but has left us with large amounts of mulch and crushed slate, that are awaiting their permanent homes. Please excuse the "under construction" nature of the back yard. It does not affect guest access at all. The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features: - AT&T GigaPower Internet (through Airport Extreme) - We do not have a TV but you can certainly stream your favorite shows with your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, iTunes, etc. account. - USB Charger for your devices - Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled) We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets if needed. We are: - 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center - Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown. - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk. - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam) If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, the best breakfast tacos in town for only $2 a piece - J Mueller BBQ at E 6th & Pedernales, approx. 8 minutes away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Gourmands, a gastropub with gourmet sandwiches, approx. 15-20 minutes away - Saigon Le Vendeur on E 7th, a delicious Vietnamese food truck, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. ... and many more wonderful options. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House. It should be noted that we are currently working on some landscaping projects, as a result of completing the paved walkway for guest access to the Kanga (wrapped up January 2016). Please excuse the "under construction" view of the back yard.
The East Side is a wonderful, artsy, quirky place. It's still a little rough around the edges, as is the case in any gentrifying neighborhood. We always feel perfectly safe, and our street is well lit and comfortably "busy" with traffic and buses, while still being completely residential. We've never had issues with street parking. There's no side walk on our particular block (despite letters to the city) but it picks up on both sides of our block, and doesn't bother us much.
  • I love East Austin and it was a treat to stay in such a quaint space during my last trip there! Not only were Chad and Amy very helpful and hospitable, but the place itself was perfect. Quiet and private. A comfy bed. Full kitchen. Clean and well-stocked bathrooms. Peaceful patio. Easy access and parking. And yes, there was wifi and the A/C didn't disappoint which can be a real concern in the Texas summer heat. Neighborhood gems like Juiceland and Blue Owl Brewing were literally a block away. No complaints! 10/10. Will come back.

    Courtney2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Anna & Chad's place was perfect for us - East Austin has a lot going on and was a great hub for our Austin adventure. The recommendations they sent ahead of time helped shape our trip and made us feel like locals. We also appreciated that we didn't have to pick up a key or coordinate a check-in time since the studio is accessed with a code entered on the door. All in all a great experience!

    Ruth2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in Austin! Well thought out tiny space, with plenty of room for a solo traveler or couple. Coffee and breakfast available, and kind hosts. Close to the river if you want to go for a walk/jog. Also, great breakfast tacos nearby!!

    Jen2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Chad were absolutely delightful hosts and the Kanga was a complete pleasure to stay in! The space was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortably temperature controlled, with a lot of small but very appreciated touches such as having milk/beer/yogurt/etc. in the fridge and an array of products in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. Getting into the space was a breeze and access to the back house felt very unobtrusive to the primary home. I met Anna, Chad, and their two friendly dogs, a few times in the back yard and they were exceedingly nice and helpful with providing tips and information about the area. When I had a special request for linens (didn't want to ruin their nice white pillow cases with a new dye-job) they were unfazed and quick to respond. The location in East Austin was perfect for me--close enough to the action but just out of dodge enough to not be too crazy. Being close to a fantastic running route was an extra special bonus! I'd recommend the Kanga whole heartedly to any and all.

    Leah2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Kanga was one of our favorite Airbnb experiences to date. Anna and her husband have a hand's off style, which we loved. The Kanga is a studio bungalow in their backyard, separate from the main house and completely private. Anna furnishes it with snacks, fruit, coffee beans, soaps, and a few Shiner Bocks to get you started - the kitchen even has a few essentials if you'd like to cook a meal and eat it on your private porch. The inside looks just like the pics - minimal + modern, with great sunlight. It's located five or six blocks east of the East Austin strip, super easy to grab an uber (like a $3 uber!) to any of the East Sixth spots (White Horse, Qui, Stay Gold, Liberty, etc.) Anna and her family are there if you need them, but will give you privacy if you prefer that - in our book, that makes for an excellent host.

    Nate2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Kanga was awesome! Perfect functional compact space that I enjoyed while traveling alone on business. Everything was comfortable and well-appointed. Anna and Chad were respectful, gracious and accessible hosts. The E Cesar Chavez neighborhood has great restaurants and bars walking distance on the unique East Side. I hope to be able to stay here again!

    Jacqueline2015-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at Anna & Chad's was awesome. We were in and out due to Acl weekend, so we didn't get much time to chat. The place was so adorable and stocked up with yummy nit nacks & good coffee. Bus transportation literally 100 steps away, our weekend couldn't have gone any smoother. dont forget to ask Chad for restaurant recommendations. The aks a bunch Anna & Chad

  • Anna & Chad were great and my wife and I loved staying in the Kanga. Will definitely stay here again next time I am back in Austin!

  • We had an awesome stay at Jason's modern loft! The place was super clean and we had everything we needed, including some toiletries and coffee. The location is perfect as there are tons of cool bars and restaurants within walking distance. Other parts of town are just a very short cab or uber away. Jason was very quick to respond to all my questions and made this a very easy booking. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Austin area!

    Nicole2015-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Both this property and its owner, Jason, were amazing! The condo was beautifully furnished, perfectly clean, and stocked with everything we needed from a Keurig coffee maker to hair conditioner! Additionally it had an AMAZING VIEW of downtown!!! Jason was available by call or text for any problems that we could have encountered. Jason also accommodated several personal requests. My fiancé and I had just gotten engaged, and Jason provided a bottle of champagne. He also personally reviewed a list of things to do in Austin that we sent him ahead of time and provided suggestions. He even let us use his personal printer when we needed to print off something unexpectedly. Finally, we accidentally left our coats in the condo. We contacted Jason right away and he happily agreed to mail us our coats! This was an amazing place to stay close to downtown. We would definitely stay there again!

    Ankur2013-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was quick to respond and very friendly. His loft was perfect for a long weekend with friends in Austin. It was in a great location -- within walking or short cab distance from all the downtown neighborhoods. Included with the apartment were all the essentials, linens, wifi, parking spot, sound system, etc. Would highly recommend renting Jason's apartment. We had a blast!

    Sylvia2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was lovely, as described and conveniently located. As a host Jason was super communicative, helpful and speedy. We had a great time!

    Chela2016-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Walked downtown every day.

    Chad2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in Austin during Hurricane Harvey. The city wasn't hit very hard but it was rainy all weekend. Jason's place was the perfect place to "staycate" a bit. We watched a Ali Wong on the giant TV, ordered Torchy's Tacos to the apartment, and enjoyed view from the covered balcony. The location was perfect for us - we were able to walk to a few destinations, and most other places were within 10 minutes by Lyft. Nearby, there was a great taco spot that showed a movie in their back area during the day -Pueblo Viejo - and a tiny specialty grocery store The Bee Grocery that had coffees, pastries, and other essentials. Jason also accommodated a request to keep our bags on site for a few extra hours while we ventured out into the city making our check out infinitely easier.

    Shaina2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while in Austin. It exceeded all if our expectations. Everything was as advertised and Jason was great to deal with.

    Matthew2014-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. It was actually larger than expected. Jason has decorated this condo well, and he keeps it clean and in very good condition. The location is good as it was a quick walk to all of the restaurants and clubs on 6th street and in downtown.

  • wow what a gorgeous little place this is! it was so pleasant, everything about the cottage, the area, and the owner Marcella, was perfect. i still dont know how she got all of those small doors, cabinet and shackles on the ceiling, but thats probably one of the coolest things ive seen. Austin is so cool also.

    Dino2014-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella's cottage was absolutely lovely. Upon arriving, she guided us through the glowing bulb lit backyard and showed us our room. The space was exactly as pictured, quaint and homey. The bed was like sleeping on a giant loofa, so comfortable. She left complimentary lotions, soaps and water in the fridge. Finally, the pet pig who's sleeping quarters were in the backyard was a cute and surprising plus! Definitely coming back to this quirky spot :)

  • We had a lovely time staying with Marcella and her lovely family. We were made to feel very welcome but also left to our own devices....I would recommend this accommodation for staying on Austin it was only a short bus rose a away from all the main attractions. They have lots of pets and very sweet children. We loved Austin!!!!

  • My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Garden Cottage. The hosts home, garden, animals, and rental properties are so charming! We wish we could have stayed longer & enjoyed the Garden Shed even more…I was ready to move in. Very clean, stocked with everything we needed, and beautifully decorated. Austin is such a fun city and we were so busy exploring that we weren't around much during the day to get to know the hosts, but Meredith was so helpful whenever we needed anything, including jumping our car one morning after we had left our lights on over night. Marcella was very responsive during the booking process as well - wish we could have met. And of course, we absolutely loved the toffee. Will recommend this rental to anyone who is planning a trip to Austin.

    Morgan2015-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Marcella was magical! The space they have created is peaceful, beautiful, and better than the pictures. We had such a relaxing and wonderful experience at their home that we almost forgot to go see the rest of Austin! Marcella and her partner were very accommodating and great with communication. They offer great advice and materials for sight seeing and for enjoying Austin as locals do. The bed was very very comfy and the atmosphere of the place is great, being surrounded by gardens, happy children, and animals. I actually hope to model my future home after this one! I would highly recommend this place!

  • I loved staying at the cottage!

    Eve2015-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Garden Cottage is glorious! The room is airy and bright, with a bed you could sleep in all day long. Marcella was great at communication, and their backyard is a beautiful, peaceful respite from the city.

Enjoy spitting-distance access to UT, downtown Austin, I-35 and the MetroRail, as well as the restaurants, coffee shops, food trailers and parks of the eclectic Eastside Cherrywood neighborhood. Or just laze about on our hammock. It's accessible through our driveway or a gate on the other side of our yard, giving you complete privacy to you come and go as you like. The queen-sized Murphy bed folds up to give even more space. Other features include a lots of window space with blinds, a large desk/table, 24/7 WIFI access, and a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. And of course, AC (as well as heat for the one week of the year it's cold here). We're located in the tree-lined French Place section of Austin's eclectic Cherrywood neighborhood, near campus and very central. Downtown is only a few minutes away by car, bus or train. You'll have an easy two-block walk to assorted coffee shops, groceries, liquor stores, taco joints and food trailers, as well as a fair share of well-reviewed restaurants. You can hop-skip to the bus or drive in under five minutes to the nearest MetroRail station (a must during SXSW or ACL, when parking downtown is impossible). We'll work with you on check in-and-out times. Our two large cats will work with you on any feline needs. (Though they're not allowed in the space, so if you're allergic, don't worry.) Parking is a breeze on the street with no restrictions or permits required. City of Austin Permit #2013-046933 OL
  • Steve was really nice and made the experience very easy. The cottage is also very comfortable and feels quiet and secluded. It's about a $10-$12 cab ride to downtown so it's outside of downtown without being too far. I'd definitely stay again.

  • Steve's cottage was exactly as described (and even better). I would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend a weekend in Austin, and I would definitely book with him again! The location was great, very close to downtown, restaurants, cool coffee shops, etc.

    Damon2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was awesome! He provided coffee vouchers for a local shop, coffee/tea, wine, bananas, granola bars etc. He even found a dog dish for my pup! The backyard cottage is beautiful, surrounded by green and very cozy. You're far enough from the main house that you feel a lovely sense of privacy and the cottage is still full of light. The pictures actually don't do the place justice! It is so warm and welcoming. I'd happily have stayed for longer. The location is super convenient and the neighborhood is friendly. I took my dog for many walks and always felt at home.

    Mila2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is certainly one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed in. Steve is really cool and interesting to talk to. The cottage has every amenity necessary and its located in a quiet neighborhood that is still close to downtown and campus.

    Orion2015-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, easy communication, good deal for the price. Steve even let me know I left my earbuds so I could come get them. Thanks!

    Samantha2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a great host! Really nice guy and super accommodating. I can't say a bad thing about my stay. Thank you Steve!

  • Cozy quarters in a sleepy Austin neighborhood convenient to downtown. Steve made us feel welcome with great local recommendations! He even left us freshly made Rice Krispy treats one evening :)

My place is close to nightlife and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the location, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, groups, families and business travelers. I also have an air mattress that would be good for two more people.
  • Matt was a great host and his place is very comfortable. It was confusing to find the apartment, especially at night, but he was very patient. The complex's pool is only 3-4 feet deep and unheated, so it wasn't very swimmable. Bit far from downtown, but manageable. The room was very clean and quiet, and I would stay there again.

    Jessica2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • The reviews (apart from the bad ones) about Matt are extremely accurate. He is really really nice and welcoming, easy to talk to and accommodating. Very selfless person.

    Eric2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was super nice and helpful, was a good value stay...would book again!

    Bradley2016-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's place is simple and easy to find! Great location for what we needed during our weekend in Austin. Nice, friendly guy and helpful as well. Recommend him to friends!

    Amber2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a great host! The space was as described. We almost immediately felt like we were there visiting a friend or family member instead of just staying at a stranger's place. His place was convenient to downtown Austin and Kyle which were the places we went while there. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend it and will most likely stay there again before long!

    Eva2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was an awesome place to stay! Matt was really cool and he suggested some great places for me to visit while in Austin! I HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Austin to stay with Matt. Great Host!

    Ian2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Matt is very friendly, positive, and open-minded, we enjoyed staying with him a lot. He was also kind, accommodated our late arrival and prepared an extra air mattress for us. The place was clean, spacious, and safe. Overall, we would highly recommend staying with Matt.

  • We stayed with Matt during our trip to Texas for a wedding and it was a perfect for what we needed. It was close to the airport and easy to get to. The place was clean and very comfortable!

  • Rented this house for my bachelorette party. It was AMAZING. The house has plenty of room and great decor. We particularly enjoyed the backyard and the hula hoops! Justin and Becca were also amazing hosts. Would highly recommend this place!

    Emily2013-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were here with a group of 13 guys for a bachelor party and the house was the perfect spot. The neighborhood is full of walk-able barbecue, bars, food trucks, and the Quickie Pickie, which combines the best of an NYC bodega and a neighborhood coffee shop. There is a large backyard with a covered picnic table big enough for all of us to have a meal together. There is also a grassy area across the street suitable for frisbee/football tossing. The hosts were great on communication and responsiveness. I would highly recommend a stay here.

    Chris2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 199 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Kathryn2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing! I would highly recommend it for large groups visiting Austin. We were a bachelorette party of 11 girls and it was perfect. Beautifully decorated, plenty of space and a quick cab ride downtown. Becca and Justin were amazing and answered all our questions quickly! Thanks for a great weekend!

    Gabriella2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay in Austin, would highly recommend to anyone who has a group and is looking for a comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated house. The pictures show some of how great the house is, but don't show it all. We greatly enjoyed the backyard which had a lot of space, grill and huge table where we spent a lot of time. Also worth noting, the house stayed very cool which is important in the humid Austin heat. Justin and Becca were helpful leading up to the weekend and were quick to respond if needed. Book it up if you are on the fence.

    Dan2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Justin and Becca were great! I was the maid of honor and in charge of the house full of girls and the whole weekend plans. They were so nice and quick to respond to my questions about the house.

    Karla2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stellar experience, despite the torrential downpour in Austin all weekend. Space for 13 guys to chill comfortably + eat 20 pounds of delicious Franklin's BBQ (you can even pay someone to stand in line for you :). Pics on AirBNB don't do the place justice and the location is just a $5 uber from either downtown/6th street or Eastside. Justin & Becca even pre-stocked the beer with tasty Austin beer. Thanks!

    Del2015-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using AirBnb and Justin and Becca were incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. They responded to everyone of my questions and offered great suggestions about what to do in the city. I hosted my brother's bachelor party and everyone agreed this was the perfect house for the large group of 12. When we arrived, they had a welcome packet that included tons of great information and answered questions about the house that you tend not to think about before you come. The house also includes a ton of features that really added to our experience such as enough keys for all of us (incredibly helpful when you are scattered throughout the city and come home at different times), wifi, washer/dryer, clean linens/towers, fridge filled with goodies, old school record player that we played all night long, huge outdoor space with a large outdoor table where we catered fantastic Texas BBQ, dart board, and too many more to list. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Austin Thanks again guys!

We love hosting guests from around the world and with 5 star reviews we believe our guests love visiting. We are here to answer any questions you have and would love to share our space with you!
Located in Central Austin, and a SHORT walk to the Metro Rail which drops you off in the center of downtown, our home is an updated 4 bedroom/2 bath home. The patio area provides a great place to enjoy the Austin evening breezes and enjoy a nice chat while grilling dinner. A wooden swing set provides opportunity for play at the back of the yard. Or, if you prefer the front, enjoy sitting in 50's style bright red metal lawn chairs on the front porch. Room #1 Separated from the other three bedrooms, the large master bedroom is off the living room and includes a comfy King bed plus huge windows that overlook the covered garden patio. Room #2 has a queen bed. There is only one point of egress because this room has no windows. It makes for a long night of dark sleep! Room #3 has a Full bed and the soft yellow walls are soothing for the soul! There is a trundle that can be pulled out for another person. Room #4 has a new queen bed This is the second largest room in the house with desk and huge window. The last sleeping spot is a queen sleeper sofa in the den.* This is new and is now substituted for the brown sofa pictured. The second bath has a garden whirlpool tub, great for a long soak at the end of a busy day! A large laundry room is also available for your use. There is space for 4 cars in our double driveway and one spot on the street in front of our home. Our home provides a respite from the noisy fun of local concerts and nightlife but is close enough to the lively downtown area that you'll experience the best of both worlds!
Our neighborhood is Huntland Heights. It is a pocket neighborhood that is surrounded by city life. You will see an eclectic mix of mid-century homes with businesses right around the corner.
  • Jenny's home was just as advertised - comfortable, well outfitted and in a quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for our family get-together. The bedrooms are all a good size and the living areas are spacious and inviting. Jenny was a great host and we'd definitely stay there again.

    Rachel2014-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's house was conveniently located near major arteries of the city. The home is very comfortable and well appointed. Jenny was very organized and accommodated our need for early check-in. It was a perfect venue for our weekend trip.

    kunal2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny's home was lovely! It was perfect for our bachelorette weekend with eight people. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio, around the island in the kitchen, or in the living room. The house is about a 15 -20 minute ride into the city, so easy to experience all Austin has to offer.

    Callie2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! The house was so cute and the set up was wonderful! Jenny was very helpful preparing the house for our stay!

    Anna2015-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for Austin. Downtown short cab ride or a two minute walk to train and public transportation. Quiet neighborhood. House had nice clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was good size with easy to use washer and dryer just outside of kitchen. Many restaurants and nightlife nearby. Even had enclosed back yard with swing set for children. Big fireplace in family room and good TV with cable and Netflix. A large eclectic collection of books lined the fireplace. Would rate a three out of four stars.

    J P2012-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was super comfortable and met all our needs. Being so close to the train stop (a 5-7 minute walk) was really helpful and the quiet neighborhood offered a nice place to take our evening walk (lots of families pushing strollers, kids riding bikes, people jogging, etc). If you’re looking for a quaint place conveniently close to so much of what Austin has to offer, you can’t go wrong with this house.

    peggy2015-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was great and very accommodating. The house is super cute and had eveything we needed for a girls weekend!

    Andrea2014-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at this home, and Jenny made everything so easy. We had a large group of friends visiting together, including a one year old, and Jenny accommodated us with the both flexibility and ad hoc baby gear (per our request). We are so appreciative and would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a sweet spot to stay in Austin Texas.

  • Marwa and Alex were very responsive and helpful. I stayed for my 30th birthday and my friends and I had a blast! The house was lovely, with one bedroom and a comfy couches downstairs, and three bedrooms upstairs. There were two bathrooms upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs. There were also a half dozen extra mattresses to sleep on should we have needed them. The best part was that we were 15 minutes away from everything, including downtown, Rainey Street, and other Austin hot spots. I would definitely book with them again

    Anne2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Marwa and Alex's place is beautiful. It was clean and modern. The communication was quick and they were very helpful ! It was a perfect spot for 8 of us! It was comfortable and we were able to park our car easily. You do need to call a cab or take public transportation to go downtown Austin. But it's a very short ride !

    Nicole2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Marwa and Alex were wonderful. They where nothing but nice to us throughout the entire experience. As soon as we booked they contacted me and introduced themselves with contact information. Then were in contact a week or so prior to check in with all necessary information we needed for our stay. The house was AMAZING! Everything inside is modern and new, with all the amenities one would ever need. Plenty of space and located in quiet neighborhood that was easy to find. Can't say enough good things about our stay.

    Katie2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house and neighborhood. It had everything we could ask for and more! We had a bachelorette party weekend for 10 girls and it was the perfect house for it! Everyone raved about how clean and cozy the house was (despite being so large), comfortable the bed was, and accommodating the owners were. It felt like a hotel...but much more affordable! :)

    Huong2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alex made us feel very welcomed. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. The house was pretty close to everything we wanted to do which was eat and drink. About 10-15 min from everything. Would stay here again.

    Monik2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Alex was very nice and responsive to any and all needs we had. The house is modern and feels like home with high end furniture making it very comfortable. It's the little things and personal touch that made it great! Everything worked well and our experience was awesome! I would highly recommend this house for a vacation in Austin where you're in a nice neighborhood yet close to downtown.

    Jane2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the week at Alex and Marwa's home. There were a few small issues, but Alex was quick to resolve them. He was a great host and checked in periodically to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The house is accurately pictured online and was perfect for our group of 9. The fully equipped kitchen was great for our family meals. We would definitely stay here again if in the Austin area.

My place is just a few miles west of downtown with easy access to TX Loop 1, the Ann and Roy Butler hike and bike trail, public transit and numerous Austin gems like Mt. Bonnell, Deep Eddy and Barton Springs No Television My place is welcome to solo adventurers, couples and business travelers of all backgrounds. Coffee and tea, as well as pantry items like oil and seasonings, are available for your use. I rent another room in place out, so you may be sharing the common space at times.
In general, the aesthetic is minimal and functional. I try to keep the clutter away so you'll have space to feel at home. My roommate and co-host Tiffany might be hosting you depending on the date of your booking, she's awesome and an amazing resource for visitors.
I'm nestled in the Tarrytown neighborhood about a half miles' distance to a local grocery, restaurant and drug store. However, most attractions, and more walkable areas are a few miles away.
  • Loved staying with Marisa. I was in town for a conference but enjoyed the quiet, the cleanliness, and everything overall. Would definitely stay here again!

    Vandna2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Marisa's apartment was lovely, as was Marisa. The complex was on a quiet, safe street, though close to town, and the apartment itself was clean, open, nicely decorated, and welcoming. I loved that the room looked exactly like the picture and that there were clean towels waiting for us to use in our own private bathroom--and great air conditioning! I also loved that Marisa was so kind, and only wished we had been able to stay a little longer to get to know her a bit more. I would highly recommend Marisa's place to anyone coming to Austin.

  • Spacious bedroom with a closet and private bathroom, and the rest of the apt is open and clean. Incredibly convenient location--not far from downtown and the bus stops two blocks away. Marisa was incredibly communicative and answered all of my million questions, and was super sweet and accommodating when we met for my stay. Definitely recommend!

  • The stay was wonderful and Marisa is an amazing host! The place was clean and beautifully decorated. All instructions were detailed and clear so there was never a problem with checking in, going in and out of the building, checking out, etc. The neighborhood was quiet, and within walking distance of ACL festival (which we attended). Overall, I would highly recommend staying here!

Its the right size for a short stay with privacy. Two doors may give you your own entrance, if you choose, so not to disturb the house. Backyard, kitchen, living room and washer/dryer access. Close to the Domain, public transit (bus), and a bicycle is available for you to use, if you wish. A cat and dog will be happy to see you and any of your four-legged companions. Please read our house manual and house rules before you arrive. :)
You'll have your own room with a view of the Dragonfly pond, one (1) full-sized bed, drawers and closet as well as a full bathroom and writing desk all to yourself. Make use of the living room, kitchen, washer/dryer, backyard sitting area and breakfast nook. Parties of 3-4: Although our home is better suited for 2 or less, it is possible to sleep up to 4. But please be advised: The two extra guests would sleep on an AeroBed (a wonderful air mattress) in the living room and will be charged $25 extra for parties of 3-4 and and additional $15 on-top for a party of 5. (total of $40 on-top of nightly rate.) All guests would share the same bathroom!
The Northstar Greenbelt is very close and offers a great way to relax with a bit of nature and a walk. Check out Walnut Creek for hiking, biking, swimming and off-leash dog walks. About a mile away! Very close to the Domain and a few other necessities.
  • We had a great stay here! Clayton and Sandra are very nice and welcoming, and the room was everything we needed and more. It was clean and private, with a curtain separating the guest area (room + bathroom), and there was a list of recommmendations in the room that we found very helpful. We did not use the kitchen, but it was lovely and there was plenty of room for our snacks. The pets are so sweet too! We wish we could have spent some time in the yard, but we were out and about... 10/10! :)

    Razia2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Clayton and Sandra are wonderful hosts! They have taken care of everything--including a well stocked "resource kit" for any essentials you may have left at home. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. We had fresh flowers in our room--something I really appreciated! Communication with them is a breeze. Location is perfect! Just minutes away from I-35, so you can be in downtown Austin in less than half an hour. I must mention that Artemis (Clayton and Sandra's chocolate lab) stole my heart! She made the fact that my husband and I left our three dogs at home so much more bearable. I cannot say enough great things about our stay! Highly recommend staying with Clayton and Sandra.

  • Clayton and Sandra are "together" and they have opened there home for us to see. It was fantastic!!! Close to shops in a nice side of town, there's a bar of soap, nice towel, really nice bedroom, a hot cup of coffee, and all kinds of things to do. Thanks!!!

It's only a 12 minute drive to downtown! Why stay in a boring hotel when you can have your own private house for a fraction of the price? *Car for rent available too!
We're located on a small street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Within walking distance- Some great Asian and Mexican restaurants as well as a Target and bus station. There are tons of restaurants near by- Ramen Tatsu-ya, Stiles Switch BBQ, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Baby Greens, Hanabi Sushi, Tam Deli & Cafe, Royal Jelly, El Nuevo Mexico, Chago's, Pint House Pizza, Torchies- the list goes on and on. Other attractions close by include Capitol City Comedy Club, Top Golf, Alamo Drafthouse, Pinballz old school arcade, Ikea and the Domain restaurants & shopping.
  • We arrived to the tiny house as Nate was putting his finishing touches. It was clean, well organized and Nate was very pleasant and welcoming. It is very close to DT and the airport. I would definitely stay again and already sent his listing to a few interested friends.

  • Nate is great!

  • Nate's tiny house is lovely! It's equipped with everything you'll need. It was also super clean and very well organized! Nate was very easy to communicate with. We only met him briefly, but he was very nice and his efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible did not go unnoticed. His cute doggies are also a plus! And lastly, the location is quite close to downtown, so it's very convenient. If you plan to visit the area, I definitely recommend booking here!

    Ashley2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nate is an awesome host- very responsive and friendly. The backyard tiny house is so cute! Very clean and was perfect for a long weekend with my boyfriend. There is some shops and such walkable, but I'd recommend renting a car as we spent a good amount on uber from the first couple days. I know it's close to a bus station but I heard from several people driving is much easier and quicker than public. There's an enterprise less than a ten minute walk from the house, so you can easily decide once you get there. I'd definitely recommend this place, especially if you want something quieter. Not for you if you want to be able to walk to downtown.

Hello there! This is the PERFECT way to travel inexpensively. There are three air mattresses with clean sheets and pillows. It has plenty of natural light, fresh air, and even a small (private) patio! You're welcome to use the kitchen (free) and/or on-site coin washing machine/drier ($1.50). It's a 10 minute walk to UT Austin, and 15 minute walk to downtown Austin (Texas Capitol), so there's plenty of great food, bars, and things to do and see close by.

  • This place was perfect. It is a great area with walking areas and restaurants close by. It is a short/easy drive to downtown Austin. The area is really being developed and grocery stores, etc are very close. The pool and work-out areas are great, too. A very nice place to live!! They also have a super cool "convenient store" on the property.......has everything you need in an emergency.

    michael2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The location was awesome and check in was super easy. William was super responsive and easy to work with. The apartment itself has a great setup although it was pretty dirty upon arrival and definitely felt as though someone just left. The carpet and counters were noticably dirty and we were only left one towel with a damp, used one left hanging. The bed was sloppily made and the comforter had pretty questionable stains on it. Luckily I live in Austin and arrived before my guest, so went home and grabbed some linens.

    Livi2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!

    Regina2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • William's place was clean, nice, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was great as it was central and close to downtown. Me and my guests really enjoyed his place and Rachel was great with communication. Me and my guests did not even want to leave. Definitely look forward to booking with them soon!

    Leslie2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, well-furnished, and beautiful! The neighborhood is fantastic, with plenty of shade and great trail access for jogging and walking dogs, close to restaurants and shops and still manages to feel quiet and honey. The apartment itself was excellent, as well. The amenities provided included cookware, towels, Wi-Fi, and cable. It was homey and chic, well-lit, and comfortably slept all four of my party. Overall, William and Rachel provided an absolutely fantastic experience, and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Austin!

Best neighborhood in Austin. Walkable to several entertainment districts. Some of the best bars and restaurants are less than 10 minutes walk.
  • Stayed from March 8 - 16 during SXSW. Great house, great location. Short walk to downtown and around the corner from a variety of cool East Austin food trucks, restaurants, and bars. Very clean, modestly sized but excellent use of space made staying with eight people surprisingly comfortable. Beautiful backyard, great porch, comfortable couches, big screen TV, and Netflix / Hulu / etc made occasional downtime a pleasure. Jeremy was very helpful with finding the best local food and drink and left some great snacks and beers for our arrival. Would stay again.

    Sam2014-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy's place was perfect for our stay in Austin! We had plenty of room with tons of sleeping space for our group. He provided us with shower towels which was great for helping slim down our packing list and the house was clean. We were able to get to and from all of our planned activities and dinners with ease and overall had a great experience. Jeremy is very responsive and made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Austin was lovely and I will definitely be back again in the future!

  • Great location, near awesome places in East Austin. Close walk to downtown...

    Tim2017-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house was easy to check into. We arrived to a list of instructions and some great recommendations for what to do in Austin. The house fit everyone just as advertised, and we had a very comfortable stay. The location was great, close enough to everything we wanted to do in Austin, or at least accessible by bike/car. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

    Zayna2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy was a great help in coordinating my trip from top to bottom. He was extremely responsive to my questions about the house, the area and some must do's in the area. The house is surprisingly spacious and had enough bedding/towels to host 12 guys for a weekend in Austin. The walk wasn't too bad to the downtown area - whether you wanted to head out on Rainey Street or scope out the crowd on 6th. If you didn't feel like walking, Uber and Lyft rides were available within minutes. Enjoy your stay.

    Adam2015-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great and was super well located for walking around town. Everything was there that we needed. Would definitely stay again.

    Kristopher2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy is a great host, very flexible and quick to answer any questions. The house itself was clean and had plenty of room for our larger group. It's in the perfect location - within walking distance to many fun spots and a quick drive from the popular bars on 6th and Rainey Street. I can't recommend it enough!

  • Visiting Austin for the marathon was a great experience and staying at Lois' place enhanced the experience. She was very warm and offered a lot of great recommendations of the city. The guest room/house we stayed in, like the place, was colorful, eclectic, and memorable. I would definitely stay there again when I re-visit Austin.

    Kenneth2012-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lois and her guest quarters were very accommodating. It was fun and funky but architecture of place was most impressive! (Little wish: the linens to have been 100% cotton vs. the current poly blend.)

    Patricia2012-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • What an excellent experience it was to stay in Lois' Peaceful Haven! Lois is down-to-earth and gracious. We felt immediately comfortable with her, and she gave us just the right amount of attention while giving us our privacy as well. We had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight, plus some extra nice little touches. We will definitely be back!

    Julie2013-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a delightful space, and what an excellent hostess. My grandkids and I loved staying at Lois's place - it was peaceful, artistic, and fun! We had walking access to Zilker Park, and a great Austin experience.

    Brian2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Lois, the room was cozy, quiet and had all the supplies we needed. Lois was kind and helpful with her advise, we enjoyed breakfast at the location that she recommended. The neighborhood was quiet and at a perfect location for our needs. The cats were a wonderful addition to the unique atmosphere. We will book again during future visits to Austin.

    Laura 2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quirky, magical old Austin kind of place. Super easy in and out. I recommend this place without hesitation as long as you are not allergic to cats. Even then it's probably fine since the place is really clean.

  • What a pleasant and kitchy place to stay! If you're planning a trip to Austin, you'll be pleased with this place. It's definitely a piece of the "Keeping Austin Wierd" puzzle, and offers privacy, comfort and calm. I didn't get to meet Lois, but everything was ready and in order and I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Lois!

Super bright & cozy bedroom tucked in the back of a Mueller midcentury charmer! My home is just a 10 minute ride to east downtown, direct access to I-35, and sits directly off Manor, a cyclist-friendly road strung with locally owned restaurants, food trucks, artisan coffee shops, bars, etc.
I have Netflix, HBO, Amazon, & Hulu available! My wifi info is posted on the fridge, and let me just say, my internet is wonderful. Coffee, tea, champagne, and orange juice are pretty much available at all times. I have a Siberian husky and miniature schnauzer; they're eager for love & affection!
Just a mile down from the busy portion of Manor, it's a peaceful & safe area, with very friendly neighbors.
  • Allison is friendly and welcoming. Her dogs are so quite that I wouldn't have known they were there if I had not seen them! The room is cute and has a great fan and a comfortable bed. We had everything we needed!

    Krista2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Allison's house was great for a quick stay in Austin! The dogs were sweet. They barked some when we arrived, but when Allison was home they were very quiet. Allison was very communicative and responsive.

    Maggie2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Allison's place was a good one night stop on our cross country drive. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was great. The house is on a private road that is not a through street, so it was quiet. Perfect for sleep. But it was still accessible and not too far from the highway. Bathroom was clean, but dated. Although, the shower had great water pressure. And her two dogs were adorable! Thanks for a great stay Allison!

    Celine2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Allison's was easy and comfortable. While we didn't see her tons because she was working, we felt really comfortable and at home. The room is bright and comfortable. The neighbourhood was nice, and it was quite easy to drive to places all around Austin. The dogs were a bit loud when we would come in, but overall were really sweet. We really enjoyed our time in Austin and feeling so comfortable in Allison's space.

    Emily2017-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alison has great reccomendations and her house is very pretty and her dogs sweet. The places we wanted to visit were all about a 15 min drive from her home.

Worn-in hole-in-the-wall bars, casual dives, and mural adorned bodegas lend East Downtown a weathered, artistic edge. Set its nonconformist values against the serene backdrop of Lady Bird Lake, and it becomes clear why many venture out to this East Austin neighborhood.

Join us in our humble abode! We’re offering a private room in the Holly neighborhood! Our home is your home! Everything you need; a queen size bed, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer and backyard with patio.
We, Dan and Michelle, are two chill, easy going, Austinites who’d love to share our home with people who desire to spend time in our city. Come and stay with us and experience the wonderful madness of our many music and art festivals throughout the year.
Our neighborhood is the BEST, no joke! It's a mere 5 minute drive to downtown (with traffic), 10 by bike, there are multiple bus stops within a 5 minute walk. We live just a few blocks south of East 6th street which is packed with great restaurants, bars, and shops without the hassle of high traffic, crowded sidewalks and noisiness of downtown 6th street. Even closer, we’re right around the block from Austin’s famed Juan In A Million and Le Barbecue restaurants as well as the recently established Blue Owl Brewery. We’re also a five minute drive from H-E-B, a large supermarket opened daily until midnight. While we are surrounded by all these fantastic locations, our home is quiet and peaceful during the evening time and throughout the weekend.
  • The place was great! Nicely located very close to downtown! The room was clean and the house owners were nice to us, we even got some free cookies!!! Highly recommended!

    Andres2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • I messaged them last minute the night I wanted to rent and Dan messaged me so quick. He was so responsive and nice. I was able to check in right away and he gave a tour. The room was clean and looked just like the photo. I am very thankful!

    Jenny2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Place is great! Michelle wasn't there on check in but meet her during check out. She and Dan made sure everything was in place and helped where needed. Great place highly recommended!

    Chris2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was going to be at work when I arrived, but went out of her way to ensure that this would not hamper my access to the room. The area is pleasant, with frequent buses to downtown Austin (if you don't fancy the walk) and we found some good bars and places to eat there.

  • What a find!

    Seth2017-08-05T00:00:00Z

Lovely room, great taste in furniture, awesome back yard, good price, great experience all together. I highly recommend her.

  • Michelle's place is a great find in a fun neighborhood with lots of good food and coffee, and not a long walk from downtown Austin. The house was comfortable, clean, and convenient, and Michelle was a great host.

  • We had a wonderful stay in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to many attractions and amenities for our family of three (grown son). The accommodations were luxurious, private, clean and a joy to experience. The hosts provided towels, toiletries and coffee, good wi-fi service. We appreciated the open modern design that provided great views, yet was very private. We even loved hearing the rain on the metal roof!

    Wan2015-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything detail was accurate and the home exceeds all expectations. Jodi was responsive, the home impeccably maintained with all the creature comforts you could ever want. Neighborhood is scenic and peaceful but just a short drive to anything you'd want to partake in. One of the most outstanding properties I've stayed in since using Air BNB

    Stacey2015-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The guesthouse was like living in a tree house surrounded by nature in the most beautiful area of Austin! We could walk to the trails and parks . Jodi was a gracious and charming host. I wanted to stay for another week but unfortunately it was booked. It is like staying at a Four Seasons resort.

    lisa2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience in Austin at Jodi's guesthouse! It was incredibly clean when we arrived but also very welcoming and comfortable. It is close to everything but it feels tucked away and peaceful. Jodi made sure we had everything we needed and was incredibly accommodating, even letting us check in a couple hours early. She was quick to respond when we had questions and I could not recommend her place more!

Space, light, ease & joy in your peaceful bedroom with a sunrise porch. 5 minutes by car from kick-ass music spots, honky-tonks and restaurants. 2 miles from cool Barton Springs Pool. Walking distance from Radio, one of Austin's best bar/coffee/music/food venues. Plus a full kitchen and a host who loves you.
Your bedroom has a beautiful sun-rise porch, a super fancy Tufts & Needle mattress, amazing morning light, and beautiful interior design that feels joyful, peaceful, and calming.
I live on a truly Austin-sequence street with all kinds of different architectural houses and trees. It feels completely tranquil and peaceful, but is only 1 mile (!!) from one of Austin’s most lively avenues, with dancehalls, music pubs, a world class movie theater, and amazingly weird small shops and the best restaurants in all of Austin. You’ll have the Peace when you need it and the Adventure when you want it. I’m also right around the corner from the best coffee and beer and performance spot in Austin, Radio Coffee—which has one of Austin’s best food trucks on the premises!
  • Super nice host. Very nice and comfortable play to stay, with everything you need.

  • Bernard was absolutely excellent. He made me feel really welcome and accommodated all of my needs. I was only there for a night, but everything was amazing

    Tramaine2015-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first airbnb that we stayed at, so we were very nervous and not sure what to expect... From the moment we started communication with Krzys, he was a gem. (We booked the day of and he was able to accommodate us for our entire vacation) At first we didn't have a rental car setup, and he offered to pick us up via the app lyft. However, when we arrived my friend had booked us a car and no longer needed a ride. (we are so thankful we had a car. I would say if you want to adventure it's a MUST if not then you can get around via LYFT..which Krzys also has a deal for.) He didn't mind at all! When we got to the house we were greeted by the pup "bunk" the sweetest and so loveable! We have dogs and having bunk around on vacation made us feel right at home. The home is very clean and it feels as if you were staying in an upscale resort. You wouldn't even know Krzys was there! Our favorite features of the home was the location (minutes from everything and no traffic, a home near the city but with the feel of the country) , the Sonos sound system, jacuzzi tub and the AC (is a must during the summer!!) Our host really cared about our stay and it showed from beginning to end. He had bucketlist of Austin, a scrapbook full of things to see/do, favorites of Austin..etc. and he was always just a txt away. Thank you Krzys! :)

  • Mr. Bernard is very friendly. He gave us a list of places he recommend to go and eat in Austin. His house is clean and lovely, with full of art elements. He even parked on the road just to leave us a place to park our car. Thank you Mr. Bernard, we had a great time in Austin.

    Luna2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful vacation, clean and restful. Rural setting, while close to everything I wanted. Pixie is a wealth of information on what to do, how to get around Austin. A bonus-Kobe and Bunk are two great dogs.

    Ellen2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Pixie was a great Airbnb host and we absolutely loved staying at his place. From the ambiance and decor to the hospitality, we had a great stay while we were in Austin. Bunk, the dog, is very friendly and was a great co-host. Pixie was easy to communicate with and the place was clean and fresh.

Quiet relax atmosphere just 10 minutes from downtown. 1 bed room 1 bath with washer dryer included, queen bed everything all white, balcony, 17ft tall ceilings, garden tub separate from shower. Privacy and quite neighbors, own desires parking spot. gym open anytime with lap pool, tv outside and bar b q pit.
This home feels like your in a house. It does not feel like an apartment. It's simple and classy and no loud noise. It's very private
It's quite, relaxed, calming, great view of downtown and hill country, and minutes from downtown. It is a gated complex. It's easy to get to and go else where without hitting traffic
  • Most of the reviews on here were positive, so I had that expectation going to Karina's place. Unfortunately, the maid had an emergency and never cleaned the apartment. We had to clean the sheets and towels, among many other things. It seems like a good place to stay usually, but a big thing for me is cleanliness so it made staying there uncomfortable. Karina was out of town so it was hard to get in touch with her about it, but it sounds like she is usually easy to contact. We must have had a fluke stay.

  • Great place!! My girlfriend and I loved the room! The host was super nice and helpful. Would highly suggest this location!

  • Very stylish place. All white, very modern. Extremely quiet area with some pretty views.

    Cassandra2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Make some time to enjoy the pool!

    Sarah2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a blast staying 6 nights at Karina's place. It was an easy 15 min drive into downtown, Soco, pretty much anywhere in the city. Also close to 290 to head to Pedernales and Fredricksburg etc. The pool onsite is resort quality! Recommended!

    Aaron2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautiful along with the complex it's located in. A peaceful retreat that allowed us to simply relax for a few days! It's a little outside the city, but it was a short Uber ride to downtown. We were looking for an affordable place to relax and get away during the week before we moved downtown for the weekend and this place was perfect. Karina was also very responsive and provided detailed information on the apartment, making it really easy to check-in/out.

Best Austin location! Private, lovely space, in one of country's best neighborhoods - & it's IN TOWN! 2 minutes to 6th, UT, Capitol, downtown, tons of restaurants / bars, Lake, hike & bike; close to Barton Springs, Rainey, Zilker, SoCo, or watching the bats! ALL NECESSITIES W/IN 4 BLOCKS! 1 minute walk to W. Lynn St, with Fresh Plus Grocery Store; pharmacy; Cafe Medici; 5 restaurants; Jeffrey's bar! Austin is crowded; don't sit in traffic & spend lots of money on rideshares; stay here!
ALL WELCOME! Perfect for parties, celebrations, family reunions, get togethers, vacationing couples, families, or solo! Great location for retreats. And we love pets! There are many DETAILS below. BEST LOCATION: Our location is terrific for your stay in Austin for 2 important reasons: (1) We are central and close to everything you're most likely looking to do. This means you can walk or your rideshares to Austin attractions will be fast and cheap --Austin is full of cars now and if you're not central like we are, you will spend a lot of money and time in traffic. We are 2-10 minutes by car from the lake, our natural springs (Barton Springs and Deep Eddy), UT, the famous nightlife at 6th Street and Rainey Street, hike and bike trails, Zilker Park, Downtown, the Capitol, museum district, "SoC" (South Congress shopping district), seeing the bats fly out from under Congress Bridge ... the list goes on. Stay here and don't spend time and lots of money stuck in traffic. If you see our reviews, you will see that people are very grateful for thei rideshares being just a couple of bucks. We have had people stay here who had stayed further out before, and had horror stories about $100 round trip rides into town on weekend nights. (2) Also, you're staying in one of the most desired neighborhoods in the country. This neighborhood is beloved for its beauty, charm, and friendliness, and the fact that from our house you can walk to everything you need within 4 blocks. Roll out of bed and head to the grocery store, coffee shop, or one of the great restaurants for breakfast, or pick up breakfast tacos at any of those places! You are one block from West Lynn street, and if you look that up, you'll see it's filled with goodies -- Fresh Plus Grocery (with great wine and beer); Zocalo (Fresh Interior Mexican food); Galaxy Cafe; Caffee Medici (NYTies says one of the 25 things to do in Austin); Cipollina (yum locally sourced Italian); Jeffrey's (amazing, high end); Josephine House (one of the most charming restaurants in town). You'll be a couple of blocks from a Nau's Pharmacy, a local hair salon, and a 10 minute walk from one of three close-by parks, with a full playscape, BB court, and a separate park just for dogs! Then, more tourist destinations are super convenient -- you're a 15-20 minute walk (1-3 mins by car) to "Lower6th and Lamar" as well as "5th Street Commons. "Between these 2 areas you have a lot of great places to visit, including Z Tejas Southwestern Food and Bar, The Mean-Eyed Cat BBQ & Music, Nightcap Bar, Cafe Jose, Winflo, and other restaurants and bars; plus art galleries, spas and gyms, sports bar (The Tavern), really fun eclectic shopping, and Austin landmarks like Whole Foods Flag Ship, Waterloo Records, and Austin Book People. HOW THIS HOUSE WORKS: This house was originally 4 big apartments. We took 3 of the units and turned that into our house. The 4th unit remains a stand alone space, and that is yours! When you are looking at the picture, it is the left side. Our space and your space are separated; you have 5 private doors and it cannot be entered any other way; none of these entrances are shared with our house. To illustrate the privacy / separation factor: we go in and out of the back of our house, and visitors go in and out of the front; so we have had groups that stayed here and we kept in touch by text but never actually saw them in person. We have WIFI and CABLE. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS and HOUSE LAYOUT: This apartment is 1100 square feet. All the pictures you see are from the apartment you are renting. Rooms: Living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, Queen bedroom, 2 bathrooms. These pictures are very accurate although people have said they think the dining room is more spacious than in the pictures. BEDS and BEDROOMS: There is a big walk in closet in the big bedroom. There is a smaller closet in the other bedroom; in that bedroom there is a lot of built in shelf space. Both bedrooms also have chests of drawers. 1. Master bedroom has a King bed (2-3 people). 2. Second bedroom has a Queen bed (2 people). 3. Living room has a Queen pull out sofa (2 people). If your group needs more beds, we have 6 self-inflating air beds. Self-inflating means you plug them in, flip a switch on the bed, and in 30 minutes the bed is inflated. In the morning, press the switch, and in 30 minutes the bed is deflated. You can place these air beds various places throughout the apartment. If you blow up 5-6 beds, there will not be space for things like ballroom dancing or setting up a large bowling alley. So flip the self-deflating switch in the morning; in 30 minutes your air bed will be flat and you'll be back to more space. If you see the reviews, you will see we have had many large groups (up to 13!), who have had nothing but great things to say about being able to spread out the air mattresses. Many options people like to use include: 2 air mattresses in dining room 2 in kitchen 2 in living room 1 in King sized bedroom MORE HOUSE DETAILS: The living room is comfortable, and connects to a lovely patio and side yard you enjoy sitting on. BATHROOMS: There are 2 full bathrooms. One bathroom is very small, but both bathrooms have full tubs, blow dryers, toiletries, and plenty of towels and cloths. KITCHEN and DINING ROOMS: The kitchen is spacious with everything you need for cooking. In fact, we had a famous cook book author stay here who said it was the cleanest aribnb she had stayed in! :) The dining room is roomy as well. The dining table has 6 chairs. LAUNDRY: The laundry room is on the premises with washer, dryer, detergent, and Bounce already on hand. We have an iron and ironing board. Please enjoy our beautiful, big back yard, especially if you have pets or children. Swing set, toys, and lots of running around room. Enjoy all Austin has to offer, then come back and relax in a private, restful rental, and know you don't have to go more than a few blocks for breakfast tacos and gourmet coffee, great happy hours, or leisurely meals. We are VERY responsive. If you want something, please ASK! Thanks, Cynthia and family
Clarkesville is so beautiful -- see the pictures! And, it's the best location in Austin -- because not only are you so close to the highlights of town, but you're in an incredibly convenience neighborhood bc you can walk to everything you need -- You'll not only be staying in Clarkesville- a premier, lovely, friendly urban neighborhood - but you're in a great location within Clarkesville itself -- we are only 1.5 blocks from the grocer, and within 3-5 blocks overall you have a pharmacy, coffee shop, dry cleaners, eclectic arts shopping, corner store, and 5 restaurant-bars: Galaxy Cafe (kid friendly, American); Zocalo Cafe (good Mexican, kid friendly, happy hour 3-6 pm daily); Cipollina locally-sourced Italian Bistro (great), and high end Jeffrey's and Josephine House. 15 minute walks to 4 parks!! With pools, playscapes, BB hoops.
  • Beautiful & spacious home! We comfortably slept 10 people in this home (7 children ranging in age from 4-16) & it was a perfect space for everyone! Cynthia is so kind & super helpful. Our children even got to play with her Children in the beautiful backyard. Great location, too! I highly recommend this property. We will be back!

  • Cynthia was very friendly and helpful, She even printed out a list restaurants close by for us to pick. The location was great, easy access to the freeway with several parks nearby. The place was neat and clean. Best part, animal friendly so we were able to bring our beloved dog along. Thank you again Cynthia!

  • This home is in a beautiful residential part of Austin. It is close and convenient to everything you'll want to do in Austin: downtown, Town Lake, dining, shopping, UT, etc. Cynthia has equipped and decorated the apartment with new everything -- linens, towel, pillows, furniture, dishes, kitchen tools. And her flair for decorating really shows. This is a warm, inviting, and comfortable home fully equipped!

    Shelli2017-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this Airbnb for a bachelorette party last minute and had the best time in this Airbnb with our group. It is located in a beautiful part of Austin (Clarkesville) and has a ton of great restaurants nearby. It is also super close to 6th st. and our rideshare trips were very reasonably priced from the location (less than $10 total). Cynthia was also a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, there were tons of extra blankets and pillows for our guests which was awesome, nobody wasn't comfortable or warm during our stay! Her children were also super cute, we had a baby with us and they came over to say hi :) I would definitely recommend Cynthia's place for a stay in Austin, especially groups.

    Michelle2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • I was in Austin for a bachelor party, and this apartment ended up being the perfect size and in the perfect location for us. It was a quick Uber/Lyft ride away from all major attractions in the city, while still being quite and a bit isolated at night. There were 9 of us, and we all comfortably fit in the apartment. Cynthia was very accommodating, giving us beach towels for us to use at Barton Springs. Would definitely stay here again!

    Lucas2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • She is very friendly and will make sure you are taken care of. It is a little tight for 9 people, but it is the best priced place In Austin for that size and it was awesome being so close to Town Lake.

    Payden2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia was so nice and welcoming during our entire stay! She was very quick to respond to email and text, and reached out to us throughout the weekend to make sure we had everything we needed (towels, mattresses, sheets, etc). We had a large group of 12 staying at her house for the weekend. Although she had some guests checking out the same morning we arrived, she opened up early for us so we could drop off our bags and luggage. She also has a binder with maps and recommendations for all of the nearby attractions. I'm not exaggerating when I say that almost every major attraction in Austin (6th street, Rainey Street, Lake Austin, downtown, UT, Barton Springs, restaurants, bars) are all either within walking distance, or a 5-10 minute drive. Thank you Cynthia! You are a great host :)

  • Chandler was an awesome host, had very good suggestions and the house was super clean, spacious, and close to downtown. I would recommend any group of 8-10 to stay here while visiting Austin.

  • Great few days in Austin; Chandler went out of his way to help with recommendations and even stocked the fridge with local craft beers. Grade A host!

  • Chandler was a great host for our group. He was able to give a tour of the house at check-in and even had the fridge stocked with some local beers for us to try. Chandler had a ton of inside knowledge of ATX that definitely made our stay more enjoyable.

    Jin2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Austin! The home is very new, exceptionally clean and stylish. I traveled with a group of colleagues from work and the home was well suited to accommodate everyone, with a number of work spaces and nooks and great wifi. There are three bedrooms and a loft, plus extra sleeping that can be used in the living room for large groups. We loved sitting outside at night by the firepit! We were in town for SXSW and we could easily access downtown events with a short walk or uber/lyft ride. There are also a few great restaurants/bars just blocks from the house. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Chandler, the host, was extremely accessible and helpful during the booking process and when we arrived in Austin. He really went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay.

    Lauren2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This home could not have been more perfect for our group! Great location - a quick uber ride to downtown but also a quick walk to some local eats including a juice bar, breakfast tacos and great afternoon or evening dinner and drink spots. The house itself was amazing. With 10 girls we were a little a little concerned about bathroom space and there was plenty of room for all to get ready and have privacy, when needed. More than enough sleeping areas to accommodate as well. The layout of the house had a very spacious feel and the outdoor fireplace and patio were perfect for our group to gather for a breakfast coffee or a pre-dinner cocktail. Immaculately kept, very well designed and an overall charming space. This home is perfect for accommodating a large group, whether a fun weekend away or even a corporate occasion. As a business professional I would absolutely recommend this space for corporate groups as well. The host, Chandler, was beyond accommodating. Without him our trip would not have been the same! He accommodated an early check-in, had beverages stocked for our arrival, and made himself available at any and all times for questions and food and entertainment recommendations. He checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations for a host. I would highly recommend this home for your Austin getaway!

  • The place was great. Chandler is hands down one of the best airbnb hosts I've worked with. He's accommodating, got great recommendations & in every way you feel like his #1 priority is both your experience at his place and in Austin. Highly recommend

While we are an AirBnB, there are many different exciting aspects to our community. There are tiny house communities around the country, but there are none on 27 acres. We will grow to 250 people this year. The Community First Village is a $17 million dollar community that looks like it should have been built specifically for the richest people in Austin, but we only rent to those who were previously homeless. Everyday we get visitors from around the country for tours and for the wisdom we've received in the last 18 years of working with the chronically despised of our city. Our experience is that transformation is not only possible, it’s beautiful; for you, for me, and for everyone. We are established by Mobile Loaves & Fishes, an Austin-area, Christian nonprofit.
  • Amazing place especially if you love tiny houses, shower facilities are really private and clean!

  • Such an amazing stay! Super clean, very friendly residents, and a beautiful property! We highly encourage any couple or anyone to cozy up in The Village and watch the stories about the residents. So touching and just an amazing facility! Recommend and will stay here again!

  • This was a pleasant stay. I only wish that the community market did not close at the same time as the check-in time for new guests as I wanted to purchase snacks for my stay that evening. Other than that this is a well maintained and operated community!

  • Welcoming and warm community of residents. Great tiny home to stay in!

  • Reveille was recently opened as of late 2017 - it's a long, cozy little cabin with us own back porch situated right in front of the movie screen for their Friday night shows. The value for your dollar here continues to amaze me- and as always, Barrett is just the friendliest, most accommodating host there is. I strongly suggest doing one of the many volunteer shifts here if you decide to stay- it's a great way to truly get to know the village!

  • it was so fun to stay in a Tiny House, I would definitely go back!

  • Everything I experienced with my stay at the Village was first rate. The tiny house was perfect and exactly as reported; actually better because the pictures don't describe the atmosphere. The community was awesome!! I can't wait to come back ad stay in another house, and maybe get to experience some of the community living while I am there.

  • Roland's trailer was amazing! Nice, hip trailer that felt like an apartment. TONS of charm to this place - Cupcake light outside, upcycled flooring that looked like it came from an old high school bball court, nice speaker system for playing music, etc. The trailer sat on a nice, private plot with many friendly animals dropping by to say hello! Everything was a 15 minute drive or less away so location was great. Overall, great place to stay in Austin and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking for a nice spot in Austin.

  • The check-in process was very easy and smooth. Roland made sure that everything was ready and in place before we arrived. We were given complete privacy throughout the stay and had an uninterrupted time at the trailer. The trailer itself was very comfortable and cosy. The beds were especially comfortable! Would definitely come back again if given the chance!

  • Our experience was amazing! The trendy trailer was spotless, and identical to the listing. Stocked with way more than we needed, we left by stocking additional things for the next guests. If we return to Austin , we will definitely stay here!

  • Had a great experience! Loved the trailer and the location.

    Diane2015-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed four colleagues at Rolands trailer during SXSW 2016 and it was perfect. The "trailer" is really nice with lots of details and all the accessories you'll need: iron, dryer, dishwasher, washing machine, a big fridge and AC. It's located in a residential area 15-20 minutes north of Austin - depending on traffic. So you'll need a car - or use Lyft/Uber/cabs - which we did. A normal rate is about 20 USD I think. There is a store (drinks/snacks) just down the road. For restaurants and groceries you would need a short drive.

  • We arrived at the Trendy Trailer on the evening on December 23. The Christmas lights in the yard were a welcoming touch. There were tasteful decorations inside too. Trendy Trailer lived up to its name. It was a cool, clever and creative space in a convenient location. All we needed to supply was food and beverage. Plenty of paper products and cleaning supplies, as well as linens, cookware, dishes and glasses. We grilled steaks on the grill and sat outside on the warmer days and evenings. Perfect!

  • We loved the trendy trailor. Roland was very quick to answer any questions. He had everything you could need and more. Great spot, close to downtown. Highly recommended. Next time we visit Austin we will be sure to return.

  • Roland was the perfect host. He made us feel welcome and was responsive and friendly throughout the process. His trendy trailer home was exactly what we needed for our time in Austin. It was clean, comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. We also loved the cool art and decorations. Check-in and check-out were easy and quick. We will stay there everytime we go to Austin in the future.
