Please take time to look at the pictures. We have a lot of animals on our property. We think of this as a huge plus, but allergy sufferers will most likely feel otherwise.
What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we live on a HUGE lot so close to the city center. It's like having a piece of the country in town.
  • We had such a great time in Marcy's Airstream! It's a really cute space in an amazing yard. Quite a little oasis, & doesn't feel like the city at all. We were in town for SXSW, definitely hope to visit again soon!

  • Lovely stay in Austin. Welcoming garden and sweet lodging awaited us after a long, hot drive. Marcella's delicious toffee was an added treat. Her suggestions for dinner and places to explore were much appreciated! Perfect place in keeping with the "Keep Austin Weird" mantra! Thanks!

    Kay2014-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This airstream and house are full of charm. This was one of our highlights on a very long road trip. The backyard and the little pig were a bonus. Marcella is a great host, she will help guide you to the right places to see in Austin, and the dark chocolate toffee is some of the best I've had. I hope we go back one day, and spend more time here.

    Meta2013-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic birthday weekend staying in the Airstream. Marcella is warm and welcoming; we loved the house, garden, pig, chickens, dogs, cats, and smiling kids. The home has great positive energy. The Airstream itself exceeded our expectations and is an awesome value for staying in Austin. We most loved the family's story and finding out that our stay was contributing to an amazing cause.

    Emily2013-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night, but had a wonderful time at the vintage airstream! Marcella was welcoming and the garden was so cute with lights, friendly cats, and outdoor seating. The airstream itself was well decorated and we loved reading about their family. To top it off, the homemade toffee was incredibly delicious! Thanks for a great stay.

    Andrew2014-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay!!! The airstream is so clean and comfortable and has everything you need. The animals were all adorable and like Marcella and Meredith, they were all extremely welcoming. Very easy to get downtown and everywhere you want to be.

    Sau2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The airstream was very clean and decorated so cute. The backyard garden and animals all added to a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.

    Abigail 2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first airbnb experience, and we absolutely loved it. Marcella and Meredith were so sweet and happy to talk to us--We loved Meredith's energy when she welcomed us on arrival and gave us a tour of the yard and airstream. Everything was as pictured including the delicious English Toffee! The airstream was charming and so creatively renovated by the hoats themselves! The sheets were so soft, and we slept very comfortably. We were so impressed with the peaceful environment even within a neighborhood. We got up early to enjoy our coffee outside and enjoyed watching the chickens, talking to Shiner, and petting the dogs. We even got to bring home fresh eggs from the chickens. The only thing different from the pictures: Shiner has gotten a little bigger ;) Thank you both for a wonderful weekend!

  • The Hideaway exceeded our expectations. Located just about 5 minutes from the heart of bustling South Congress, it was a quiet sanctuary to come home to. The pool was lovely, and all of the personal touches inside really set The Hideaway apart from any other rental property I've seen. Oh, and the bed was insanely comfortable!! We were so sad to leave :(

    emily2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house is on a quiet street of gorgeous homes. Theres no noise from cars or neighbors so sleep was peaceful. Our host left us a few beers in the fridge and we made a special request for a few kitchen items and Bill was happy to provide these for us to borrow. The home is even better than the photos. The pool is perfect. Beds are comfy and AC decadently effective for a humid city like Austin. We have stayed here twice and I have been VERY SAD to leave each time.

    Steph2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience with the Hideaway! Directions on checking in/checking out and how to get in were very detailed and exact. Location was right on spot also! My favorite part was the home decor, comfort and private feeling of the Hideaway, and the cleanliness. Would highly recommend!

    Jenna2015-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous and comfortable place to park it in Austin! High end everything....beds, linens and all the stuff that really counts. Even extras in the bath that you may have forgotten. Like a 5 star hotel but way more private. TV in each bedroom and BIG TV in living room. Lots of personal touches, cool artwork and your OWN private pool. We loved the neighborhood and particularly the easy walk to So. Congress with all the shops/restos etc. Bill is super responsive if you need anything but otherwise leaves you alone if you seek privacy. Perfect host. We'd stay here again in a New York minute.

    Kim2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing space! And Bill was the nicest, coolest host. I would highly recommend the Hideaway to anyone visiting the Austin area.

    Lori2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at this South Congress stay. The house is so well decorated and every detail is remembered. You will have every luxury necessary while staying here. The best part if the location and the pool. We were within walking distance of some of Austin's best. Thank you so much Bill for the great vacation.

    Jason2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bill's home is a stylish oasis and by far the most lovely Airbnb we've stayed in. It is close to all the fun of South Congress, but is quiet and zen-like inside. The furnishing are high-end and hip, but also inviting and comfortable. Ending the day with a swim in the private pool will stay one of our favorite memories ever.

    Jan2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The hideaway is in a good location, the place is really big so great for just chilling out and the pool is an added bonus. Bill was a lovely host.

Our beautiful, minimalist Tiny House is a comfortable home base for tourists and business travelers. We look forward to hosting you in the heart of East Austin, just 1.5 miles from the convention center, and 10 minutes from the airport.
The Kanga Tiny House comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a queen bed. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Heads up - spring 2016 is dedicated to wrapping up landscaping around the Kanga Tiny House. The paved walkway was a huge improvement (completed January 2016) but has left us with large amounts of mulch and crushed slate, that are awaiting their permanent homes. Please excuse the "under construction" nature of the back yard. It does not affect guest access at all. The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features: - AT&T GigaPower Internet (through Airport Extreme) - We do not have a TV but you can certainly stream your favorite shows with your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, iTunes, etc. account. - USB Charger for your devices - Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled) We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets if needed. We are: - 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center - Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown. - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk. - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam) If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, the best breakfast tacos in town for only $2 a piece - J Mueller BBQ at E 6th & Pedernales, approx. 8 minutes away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Gourmands, a gastropub with gourmet sandwiches, approx. 15-20 minutes away - Saigon Le Vendeur on E 7th, a delicious Vietnamese food truck, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. ... and many more wonderful options. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House. It should be noted that we are currently working on some landscaping projects, as a result of completing the paved walkway for guest access to the Kanga (wrapped up January 2016). Please excuse the "under construction" view of the back yard.
The East Side is a wonderful, artsy, quirky place. It's still a little rough around the edges, as is the case in any gentrifying neighborhood. We always feel perfectly safe, and our street is well lit and comfortably "busy" with traffic and buses, while still being completely residential. We've never had issues with street parking. There's no side walk on our particular block (despite letters to the city) but it picks up on both sides of our block, and doesn't bother us much.
  • Anna and Chad have a beautiful home and are very gracious hosts!

    Katelyn2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely LOVED our stay! Great location, beautiful space (filled with all the necessities), and wonderful hosts! We look forward to another stay soon!

    Rini2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect! Really cute, clean, and had everything we needed. Anna and Chad even included snacks. Easy access to tons of different areas of Austin. Neighborhood was quite and had lots of cool houses. We loved Austin and this house made it even better.

    Cory2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Chad were such nice hosts! The Kanga is a guesthouse in their backyard, and it felt like a hotel room. I could really tell they went the extra mile to make sure guests have everything they need from snacks to towels and toiletries. The place was clean (even by my standards!), and I loved that a juice bar and paddle board/kayaking dock were just a few minutes away. This was the best Air BnB experience I have had! Thanks!

    Alyssa2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Air B&B experiences i have had yet. When i arrived, the Kanga was stocked with snacks, coffee and tea, milk and creamer and oatmeal and even a few local beers. It was great! The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was great! I highly recommend this place. Thanks Anna and Chad!

    Tyler2015-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in a great location. Everything is as represented. Spacious tiny house with all you need. Stocked with fresh fruit, yogurt, milk and beer! Anna was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Great place, nice and convenient location.

    Janis 2015-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, great location, super-friendly and accessible hosts. Highly recommended!

    Belinda2015-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Anna at the Kanga was SUPERB! The Kanga is set up so that you can enter/exit the Kanga area without disturbing the host. It is located in the backyard of the mainhouse so has the perfect amount of privacy and/or interaction with the hosts if desired. Anna made us feel extremely welcome, and even further accommodated our stay by letting me bring along my corgi! My corgi had a lot of fun in the backyard and also with her friendly dogs. Anna was very flexible with check-in and check-out; she even let us hang out later on our last day of our stay! The Kanga itself is very modern, and despite its small size felt very spacious inside and had everything we needed away from home. Anna left us snacks and a few shiners in the refrigerator which was a pleasant addition to our stay. The bed was very comfortable and fit 2 comfortably + a corgi! The neighborhood is great too; very hip and up & coming . It is very close to many areas by car and even more places by foot as well. I would definitely come back and stay at the Kanga if ever visiting Austin again.

  • Great spot for downtown access. Jason was a great host. Clear, simple instructions to get the the unit.

    jansen2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment for our trip to Austin. Jason was very helpful in answering any questions and letting us drop bags off earlier than check-in time. There are some interesting characters under the highway overpass on the next block, but the apartment complex was secure and it is a great location to easily get downtown and around Austin.

    Brittney2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Emma and I can’t recommend our Austin accommodation enough. Jason is a fantastic host. He’s helpful, responsive and organised. Everything from initial contact to checking in and out went really, really smoothly. And his apartment is amazing. If you like what you see in the photos, you’ll love what you’ll find when you check in. It’s beautifully furnished and immaculately looked after – it feels more like a five-star hotel than somebody’s house. Location is great too. It’s really close to Rainey Street which has some amazing bars (look it up). It’s also really close to 6th Street if that’s more your style. Emma and I only have one regret – we should have stayed longer. Austin is an amazing city and we really didn’t do it justice in the three days we were there. Jason – you may just see us again someday.

    Emma2013-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We chose Jason's awesome, modern loft as it was close to everything great that Austin has to offer. Food, cafes, downtown and South Congress and all within easy walking distance. The space itself is well-appointed with great art, details and lots of room for two people. It'd be great for two couples as well. Lots of nice details — shampoo/conditioner/soap, towels laid out, Keurig coffee maker, impressive TV system, and just overall, that boutique-style, modern and hip style that beats all of the hotels in the area.

    Jen & Naz2013-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's home is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Jason was an excellent host, offering directions and suggestions of where to eat, drink, and explore. This is truly a gem of a home, you're so close to 6th street with lots to explore. This was by far better than any hotel experience I've ever had. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

    Kate2017-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely the best place ever to stay. I felt just like I was in my own place. Jason keeps the place super clean, organized and modern yet cozy! Gorgeous view ! You can't go wrong with this place! Jason is accommodating and super friendly!!!! Great location and close to everything downtown and the east side!!!!!!! Thanks Jason!

    Holly2014-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing space and location for such an awesome price! Such a great alternative to staying at an overpriced hotel. Jason was completely reliable and responsive. Would stay here again!

    Jamie2014-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jason's place for a few days and then left for a separate part of our trip and came back for another 4 nights. We left another review for our 4 nights but suffice it to say, we absolutely loved Jason's place. The location was terrific, it is very well cared for, very clean and is very well equipped. We would love to stay again next time we are in Austin!

What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we have a HUGE lot so close to downtown. It's like having a little bit of the country in the city.
  • We arrived late due to a flight delay and were concerned about checking in, but Marcella made sure the key to the cottage was waiting for us in the door. The cottage looked just as it was pictured and we found little extras that we weren't expecting - the homemade toffee, shampoo in the bathroom, coffee for morning, books at bedside, water in the fridge. We saw Marcella one evening as we were sitting outside and she asked if we lacked anything, and was available by phone/text if any need arose.

    Jan2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! I booked it for my wedding photographer to stay at and when we went to visit, the space was amazing. The photos are a perfect representation and there were cute furry friends abound! Marcella was helpful, super sweet and laidback. I will stay here myself in future trips to Austin!

    Alyssa2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cutest little cottage! We stayed 2 nights and loved every second of it. The bed is SO comfortable, the animals are so friendly, and it is about a 10 min uber ride to downtown. Our hosts were super friendly and gave us suggestions of where to go/what to do. We tended to get home on the late side, but were welcomed by lights strung up throughout the yard to ensure we could find our way. I would recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a relaxing but funky vibe. I will definitely come back to this spot if I ever hit up Austin again!!

    Kristin2015-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was super cute and well decorated. The bed, pillows, blankets were all so comfy. Perfect experience. It's placed comfortably in the back of a garden oasis. There are two beautiful dogs that are sweet as can be. You can pet them but only if you want to. They have their own little area and didn't bark once. I would stay here again. Marcella was nice. I only saw here for 5 seconds. Easy check in and easy check out.

    Lizzy2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy little cottage. Marcella and Meredith were such amazing hostesses and we can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this location if you want to stay in the cutest home away from home with some really genuine, cool people. Thanks again Marcella!

    Amanda2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't have a chance to meet Marcella, but we enjoyed our brief stay in the colorful cottage. The pig pen is on one side of the cottage and the large yard is on the other; it's so easy to forget that one is in a capital city. It was a pleasant stay.

    Kat2014-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella's garden cottage was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The pictures didn't even do it justice. Everything about this place was cozy, from the bed to the decor to the toffee that was awaiting us on our arrival. It was also wonderful to help support their endeavors in being foster parents. It was such a treat to wake up on our last morning to Shiner the pig walking around the backyard...!

    Katie2014-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Garden Cottage. The hosts home, garden, animals, and rental properties are so charming! We wish we could have stayed longer & enjoyed the Garden Shed even more…I was ready to move in. Very clean, stocked with everything we needed, and beautifully decorated. Austin is such a fun city and we were so busy exploring that we weren't around much during the day to get to know the hosts, but Meredith was so helpful whenever we needed anything, including jumping our car one morning after we had left our lights on over night. Marcella was very responsive during the booking process as well - wish we could have met. And of course, we absolutely loved the toffee. Will recommend this rental to anyone who is planning a trip to Austin.

The queen-sized Murphy bed folds up to give even more space. Other features include a lots of window space with blinds, a large desk/table, 24/7 WIFI access, and a mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. You'll have an easy two-block walk to assorted coffee shops, groceries, liquor stores, taco joints and food trailers, as well as a fair share of well-reviewed restaurants. • Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Easy to walk to great cafés, restaurants and bars. Even downtown is easy to access by bus. The cottage is lovely, no frills, but with everything you need. Steve is such a kind host. When we arrived, the cottage had fruits, neat foodstuff, some beer and a very good bottle of red! Steve is very discret, but present if you need anything. He is charming and helpful. Would definitely go back if visiting Austin. Beware of rarity of cabs during SXSW! Must try: Salty Sow!

  • This was a very sweet home away from home. I felt comfortable and at ease here. The little backyard cottage was surprisingly roomy. There were fresh, home-baked cookies and a bottle of wine to welcome me. Steve, the host, was friendly and helpful. I would stay again in a heart beat.

  • I stayed at Steves place for two nights, but i wanted to stay forever. It was a awesome house in Steves backyard. Very clean and cosy. It was a bless to step into this AC cooled little house in mid August. Texas is hot! Thank you Steve!

    Robert2014-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage with a peaceful atmosphere, nicely tucked away in the host's gorgeous backyard. Steve was flexible, kind, and went above and beyond to welcome us and show us hospitality with snacks, juice in the fridge, and even a nice bottle of wine! Great experience and location!

    Rachael2015-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most awesome super-reasonable price, fantastic location, thoughtful host, and interesting tiny house -style architecture stay I could possibly imagine. Seriously, Steve is super nice and the "backyard cottage" is super awesome. Stay here.

    Art2015-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pictures are exactly what is shown on the website. The cottage was a cute modern place and very clean! The place was stocked with snacks, coffee, and more. Thank you for a great experience, Steve.

  • Steve's place was great! As a host, he was prompt in meeting us and provided everything we needed without having to ask.

    Richard2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Austin was amazing. Steve was an excellent host. His backyard home is perfect and it was 10$ cab ride to 6th street. There was food and beverages in the fridge, they even had ground coffee and brewer. Very cool place.

  • Jamie did a great job letting us know what we needed to check in to the apartment and give us the information we needed to look around Austin It was a great location downtown, easy walk to many bars and restaurants. I think her apartment is appropriately priced for the location and condition of the apartment. It was also great to have a parking spot, as the parking in Austin can be difficult at times.

    Mickey2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie's apartment is very nice -- located in the most perfect spot for getting to any place in downtown Austin. The apartment itself is very cozy and comfortable. We had a great stay here and would stay here again

  • An adorable apartment, very centrally located in Austin. It was very comfortable and we had a great time!

    Alix2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie was very friendly and had great communication. Everything in the house was clearly labeled and she had clear instructions in her house manual. The location of her apartment was perfect! It's walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. My only complaint is that the bathroom door is partially see through and doesn't close all the way, which was a bit awkward.

    Katie2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to stay in Austin. Great location, cute and comfortable loft. Margaux the property manager was so sweet and helpful!

  • We had a wonderful stay here. The location was perfect! A couple blocks from the heart of 6th street without the noise or commotion. It's across the street from the Marriott and Starbucks so cabs were ready and waiting! I highly recommend this loft for your next Austin trip!

  • We had a group of 11 girls stay at this house. There was more than enough room for everyone and we all loved the house! Chandler was great with giving us good tips and places to go in Austin. He welcomed us with some prosecco and a veggie platter which was an amazing start to our trip! The house is decorated nicely and is very clean. It is also in a great area and you can walk to a lot of places. Highly recommend!

    Kimberly2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Chandler's place was beyond amazing. My guests and I (9 girls) cannot speak highly enough about the hospitality and accuracy of the pictures, details and instructions. The check-in process was welcoming, informative and easy. The communication was open and helpful. Chandler was always available within minutes to answer any questions we had. The house has more than enough space to accommodate a large group, has perfect living space to hangout and the beds are so comfortable! Chandler provides food menu's, speakers, welcome drinks with a stock fridge of local favorites and every other essential you will need for a perfect trip. Perfect for a large group, bachelor or bachelorette party or family vacation. I will definitely be recommending this house to friends and family!

    Danielle2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing weekend. Honestly if you are looking for a big house for ~10-14 people just stop browsing and grab Chandler's place if it is available. The house is exactly as pictured - large, clean, quirky, new with all the amenities you need. There's great outdoor seating near a small firepit and plenty of room inside for the group to hang out. Chandler greeted us with a few cases of local beer and made sure we had everything we needed for a great weekend

    Michael2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Chandler was a great host – very responsive and accommodating. The house was perfect for a guys' weekend trip, with a large common area, nice new kitchen, outdoor area with a fire pit, and enough beds for a large group.

  • Awesome house. Chandler was very accommodating.

    Tyler2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect and fun space for our group of 8! Very clean and easy access to uber into downtown and other popular destinations. Chandler was a fabulous host - very accommodating and professional. Highly recommend!

    Kaitlin2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Not sure the experience with Chandler (host) or the house could have been better! I think all of the other reviews already make that point, but I will try to further convey how awesome both were. A few thoughts: Chandler is the best host I could imagine. He clearly takes great pride in hosting and his house, and genuinely wants to ensure his guests have an amazing time. He is available leading up to the trip (phone, text, email) to answer questions and provide recommendations. He is available during the trip to ensure everyone is having a great time and provide more recommendations and answer questions. AND he was available afterwards to send us back a few items we left behind. We didn't even have to ask—he found them and dropped in the mail without missing a beat. And, he stocked the house with local beer, vodka, and water for us. The house was perfect. We were there for a bachelor party of 14, and it treated us very well. Between the beds and overflow options (murphy bed, futon, air mattresses, etc...), there was plenty of room. And the house has all of the tech amenities to ensure we had a great time—sound system, TVs in every room, Amazon Echo, Sling, insanely fast internet, and everything in between. The location was also great. Close to some good food and amenities, and a walk or short drive to even more. It's also right by the water, which allowed for some short trips for a quick swim. Thanks for a great time, Chandler!

    Cole2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great airbnb experience at Chandler's place. Not only was the house beautiful, well appointed and stocked with everything we needed but also Chandler was a fastidious and wonderful host! One of the best experiences I've had at an Airbnb!

  • This house was perfect for a girl's weekend away to Austin! Everyone was able to have their own bed, we had plenty of bathrooms and the common areas had so much space! We loved the ease of check-in/check-out and being able to get in and out of the house. Plenty of parking in a town that struggles with it. We would definitely go back!

    Stacy2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This house is gorgeous - lots of room to spread out, while hosting a large group. The pool is great, neighbors are friendly, and the location was wonderful - just steps from East Austin gems (bars, barbeque, coffee, etc.) Dana was a great host - everything we needed was provided (from extra blankets/pillows/towels to even a few toiletries and coffee), and she was extremely responsive when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others!

  • The best airbnb! The owners have great taste. Everything was so well designed and thought-out. Extremely comfortable bed, great bathroom, beautiful backyard view. Location is a little suburban but still a very quick drive to downtown and a short walk from Zilker park.

  • Jodi was nice, communicated, and gave us space. Good host.

    Logan2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • In lieu of of personal attacks the host has launched, I prefer to state facts regarding our stay. The guest home sat in the mist of a construction site during our visit. No grass or walkable area permitted a "dog friendly" environment. Atop the dirt guest yard full of sand Spurs, a port o potty adorned the street side parking. The modular style garage suite sits in direct view of the owner's glass door kitchen side entrance, and the host was typically seated or standing in direct view. Air conditioning units are above each bed and provide adequate cooling, as long as bedroom doors are closed. The cement floors are gorgeous. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is beautiful. Nice towels are available, yet we were chastised for " using them all" and for leaving them on checkout in a "dirty pile in bathroom"- a typical practice. We also emptied all trash and recycle bins, wiped bathroom counter, rinsed out glasses used, made beds prior to departure. She later claimed we left the unit " filthy" and commented on our "dirty little dogs," no doubt dirtied from her " pet friendly" yard. Our first encounter with the host was upon returning from a hot day at local spring. She automatically judged us, as evidenced by her later statement, "I admit I was naive to not demand the deposit the moment I laid eyes on you and your family." I am unsure if her judgement was made because of our appearance after a day at the springs, towards my Iranian daughters, because of my 20 yr Air Force vet bald husband or my 2 rescue dogs versus her purebred dogs. Perhaps I was judged as I carefully and slowly limped down the steep drive, due to a hip injury aggravated by myasthenia gravis and a 26 year nursing career. Whatever the reason, we immediately felt that we were seen as inferior, even as we greeted her and lovingly stroked and held her sweet dogs. We have traveled extensively and our family owns multiple vacation homes and rentals in GA, NYC, Utah, Florida, and DC, and we have never been treated with such obvious disapproval and suspicion. The owner tolerated us ( we were primarily only there to sleep) and seemed pleased that we were leaving. She notified us after checkout of damage to a duvet cover. She requested $400 for her admitted " five year old" blanket. Feeling this amount was excessive, we offered $100 , a security deposit that she had failed to collect. After our offer, her emails to us were accusatory and ruthless. Based on our stay it is our finding that this is a beautiful neighborhood . It is a great rental if you bring no pets, you don't bathe or bring your own towels and linens , and you do not mind surveillance. While I find it normal to sometimes disagree with others, I find it wrong to judge and disrespect. Our experience at this rental...

  • My fiance and I stayed here for our wedding weekend. We wanted a beautiful and upscale place that was a bit off the beaten path yet easy to get to. This place was perfect! Jodi even left us a nice bottle of champagne, as well as delicious cheese and crackers. The beds were so comfortable and the finishes were beautiful, but the best part about this place was the scenery! It was like we were in a treehouse. Thank you, Jodi, for everything :)

We love hosting guests from around the world and with 5 star reviews we believe our guests love visiting. We are here to answer any questions you have and would love to share our space with you!
Located in Central Austin, and a SHORT walk to the Metro Rail which drops you off in the center of downtown, our home is an updated 4 bedroom/2 bath home. The patio area provides a great place to enjoy the Austin evening breezes and enjoy a nice chat while grilling dinner. A wooden swing set provides opportunity for play at the back of the yard. Or, if you prefer the front, enjoy sitting in 50's style bright red metal lawn chairs on the front porch. Room #1 Separated from the other three bedrooms, the large master bedroom is off the living room and includes a comfy King bed plus huge windows that overlook the covered garden patio. Room #2 has a queen bed. There is only one point of egress because this room has no windows. It makes for a long night of dark sleep! Room #3 has a Full bed and the soft yellow walls are soothing for the soul! There is a trundle that can be pulled out for another person. Room #4 has a new queen bed This is the second largest room in the house with desk and huge window. The last sleeping spot is a queen sleeper sofa in the den.* This is new and is now substituted for the brown sofa pictured. The second bath has a garden whirlpool tub, great for a long soak at the end of a busy day! A large laundry room is also available for your use. There is space for 4 cars in our double driveway and one spot on the street in front of our home. Our home provides a respite from the noisy fun of local concerts and nightlife but is close enough to the lively downtown area that you'll experience the best of both worlds!
Our neighborhood is Huntland Heights. It is a pocket neighborhood that is surrounded by city life. You will see an eclectic mix of mid-century homes with businesses right around the corner.
  • Everything about the house was as describe and better. The house is very roomy and cozy. Also convenient to Cota. We would recommend to anyone needing a comfortable four bedroom and a sleeper couch. Finally what didn't for us was the bedsheets, great investment very soft and inviting.

  • Jenny's lovely house and warm hospitality exceeded our expectations. My family and I were looking for a place to accommodate our large group and allow the kids to hangout. Staying at Jenny's house was so much better than staying at a hotel. It was super clean and comfortable with a great layout. Coordinating details with Jenny was very easy. I highly recommend staying here!

    Jeanie2012-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was great! It was my first time renting from AirBnB and I'm so glad that we picked Jenny's home for the weekend. She was quick with responses and very friendly when we met. Her home is beautiful; very nice and clean. I especially loved the outside patio area. I would recommend her place for anyone wanting to stay in Austin. Thanks Jenny!

    Karmina2014-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was awesome to work with start to finish. This being my first Airbnb experience she was very patient with me from booking to signing the agreement and everything else. Unfortunately Jenny was not able to meet us at the house, but she left me detailed instructions on how to get to the house as well as how to get into the house. Once inside she had a nicely laid out binder for us which included check in/check out times, recycling info, and much more. The house was in a quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes to downtown Austin. Jenny gave me detailed directions to any of the local places for food and what not after she learned we were not going to have a car. The house was immaculately kept and had a great outside space. There were plenty of clean towels and extra blankets. Jenny was a dream to work with and her house is perfect for a trip down to Austin.

    Deena2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was the perfect hostess. She responded quickly to my initial request, maintained steady communication and was just so pleasant to work with. Upon arrival, she gave us a thorough tour of her beautiful retreat (even lovelier in person) and even offered her herb garden for our cooking pleasure! The house, neighborhood, her binder of great tips & recommendations and her professional welcoming demeanor are what make airbnb absolutely worth it.

    ellice2011-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for SXSW and had and excellent service. Jenny had left great tips out for us. The house is close to highland station which was great with cabs difficult to get during busy times. I really can't fault the whole experience.

    Craig2012-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We were a group of 8 people family and friends mixed. Stayed at Jenny and Chris's place for a few days to celebrate New Years 2014. The house is very spacious and extremely well maintained. They have all the supplies you can think off in case you need anything. One of the few places that I noticed is so well organized. They left instructions very clearly and was easy to get on them. The location is really good a few minutes from 1-35 and a downtown. Would love to stay here in the future. Highly recommended.

    Prithwiraj2014-01-02T00:00:00Z

We love our small South Congress Treehouse (550 sq ft), but if you need more space, check out our other listing for "The Coach House Austin on SOCO", which can accommodate up to 8 folks comfortably. The two together form what we have lovingly referred to as the compound for almost 15 years and we have had nothing but lovely experiences with folks coming to perch in our kooky and relaxed neck of the woods. The treehouse is on South Congress, but tucked in a quiet garden oasis. Remember. South Austin's unofficial motto is 'we are all here, cause we're not all there'… The treehouse is a two story guesthouse just off South Congress behind iconic Magnolia Cafe. A five minute walk to shops, a few minutes more to the Hotel San Jose for drinks or the Continental Club for honkytonking or Wednesday night funk, and about a 15 minute run to Town Lake Trail. There's a BBQ in the backyard and an upstairs balcony that is miraculously shady in summer and sunny in winter. Plus a sweet kitchen for cooking and a built-in desk area for working if you have to. Upstairs you will find a comfy double bed and a queen-size loft bed! If you are happy to squeeze there is also an additional full size fold out couch in the living room downstairs. The treehouse is as open plan as a small studio can be, so in terms of privacy, think expanded tiny house more than miniature mansion ... Upstairs, the beds and bathroom are all packed into a small space, sweet configuration from our standpoint, but we are also assuming you are traveling with folks you know and love well :) There are two outdoor spaces that make the treehouse feel bigger than it actually is, a private terrace with space to seat 4 comfortably for supper and the above mentioned private deck. You have your own private washer and dryer and storage space for bikes and parking for cars, wifi, internet streaming and local channels tv, and big time good mojo for a sweet stay in ATX. There is a big golden doodle on the compound. Make of that what you will. He has become well accustomed to folks perching in the treehouse and will either steer completely clear and/or become your best friend depending on the mood you are in while on holiday! We would be happy to give you recommendations to local haunts, suggestions for undiscovered gems, and introductions to sweet neighbors from whom you can borrow a cup of sugar if you need. We are kind of airbnb evangelists.... we have had such a sweet time hosting. We look forward to having you experience ATX as our guests soon!
just yes yes yes. after living all over the world, there's just no place we'd rather be. and we aren't even native texans :)!
  • We had a wonderful time at the Treehouse this past weekend! The Treehouse is cute and comfortable, and it was a great fit for our family of four. Tracy and Augustus were welcoming, gracious hosts, and they made our stay a great experience. We particularly enjoyed spending our mornings in the backyard watching the kids play, and loved being so close to South Congress. This was our first time to try Airbnb & we'll definitely do it again!

    Andrea2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location of Tracy's appartment was perfect for exploring Austin. We could walk down South Congress and all the nice restaurants, ashops and bars were within easy reach. Tracy was helpful and accomodating which made our stay in Austin better and easier :)

    Petra2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location

    Jillian2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was the quaintest little sanctuary to stay at during our trip to Austin. It's walking distance to some of the best restaurants and stores in town, the apartment is quiet and private, and Tracy was extremely accommodating and pleasant. She even left a great little gift basket for us. We'll definitely be staying again next time we visit!

    Kerry2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little place! The house is neat and clean and pretty well stocked. Anything we didn't have, Tracy was happy to help with. We and our little dogs loved the private outdoor space. But the REALLY great thing is the location. Just a block off South Congress resturants, shops and entertainment. Just a tiny old lady note (cause I am one) the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are a bit long and steep. We stayed for two weeks and by the end my knees were getting sore. The other thing to realize is that with the wonderful location there is some noise. The Magnolia Cafe is open 24/8 (according to the sign) and we did hear some deliveries and late night customers. And in all honesty, they didn't bother us as much as our dogs barking at them. But if you're a light sleeper it might be an issue. We'd come back.

  • easy check-in, awesome place -- definitely try to stay here if you're looking for a cool spot in Austin

  • Excellent location. Absolutely 100% as described. Coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven, fridge, dishwasher, full stove, all the dishes and utensils you need. Shower was awesome. Magnolia is right out the back gate. Fun place!

  • Had a really nice and pleasant stay at Justin&Becca's place. Had my work team of 6 attend a conference in Austin and staying in the house rather than in hotel rooms worked perfectly. Easy access to downtown, a really nice coffee-shop with great personality just steps away and space for everyone. Great decoration & backyard. Highly recommend it.

  • My colleagues and me had the pleasure of staying at Justin and Becca's home for SXSW. Unfortunately, I was away most of the time and didn't manage to meet Justin and Becca in person, but they were immensely helpful whenever I called/texted them to ask for help - which was quite often! They even sent over their plumber to fix a blocked drainage and leaky faucet a couple of hours after I called. The house is gorgeous (the photos don't lie!) and within walking distance to the Austin Convention Center and 6th Street. Amazing house and friendly hosts - I would definitely Justin and Becca's place for a great time with a big group of friends/family!

    Adele2014-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with a group of friends (11 in all) for a weekend so that we could experience Austin. We were all very happy with the accomadations and, to a man, we would come back and stay here. First Justin&Rebecca were great hosts in that the house was clean and prepared for us. It seems they have thought of everything- air mattresses, clean folded towells, etc... They even left some local brews in the fridge and a hand written note. Further we had a problem with the modem and they responed immediatly and were very quick to solve the problem by providing a new modem (not easy if you've spent time on the phone trying to do so). Next the house is in a safe neighborhood, that seems to be up and coming, and close to downtown (5min cab ride or a 20min walk, which we did at night when it cooled down). Uber is a perfect pairing with this house. It's a short walk to a high quality convenience store (quickie pickie) that has a great selection of craft beer and good food. Additionally, the house itself was full of fun, eclectic stuff. Everything is a conversation piece.

  • This house was absolutely beautiful and everything I could have wanted for hosting my best friend’s bachelorette party. There were 11 of us total and it was the perfect size—with room the spare! The house looks just like the pictures. It had so much character. All of our friends came in at different times from different places, so watching their reactions as we showed each person through the house was one of the best parts of the trip. The bride-to-be was more ecstatic about this house than I could have possibly hoped for. It has so much character! Becca and Justin were very quick to respond with anything that I needed, but I barely needed to contact them throughout the weekend because everything was well explained and prepared for us. They even left enough beers for everyone in the fridge! After posting pictures of us in the house on Instagram, I have many more friends wanting me to plan more girls trips in Austin in the future (particularly at this house). You get what you pay for, that’s for sure. One of the best parts was that we had 2 cars full of some people who drove, and you can park that inside the gate in the backyard. We didn’t have to worry about anything happening to the cars, or if it was late we could still go out and get something out of the car if we needed it without ever leaving the privacy of the backyard. The bride-to-be wanted somewhere that all of her friends from every part of her life could be together and hang out, like a grown up slumber party. This house gave us the opportunity to do that and we had one of the best weekends of our lives. Thank you Becca and Justin! We will be back in the future

    Kasey2014-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Justin & Becca's awesome home for a weekend bachelorette party with 13 ladies. While the home is in a safe and residential neighborhood, it is also within walking distance to many restaurants/bars/stores. Becca responded immediately to any questions we had about the house, which made for a smooth stay. I'd highly recommend this house to anyone looking for an authentic Austin experience!

    jillian2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Becca and Justin were available to answer all my questions prior to and during our stay. They welcomed us with a kind note, fridge of beer, and cookies! The neighborhood was great--super accessible to great restaurants and also never more than a 3 minute wait for an uber. the listing is just as cool as it looks. we had 13 girls in the house for 5 days. the beds are super comfortable, it's a cheery house, and we only wish it was warmer so we could have enjoyed the backyard even more. one of the nights we had a catered dinner and it worked out great since the kitchen is spacious and the dining room fit all of us around the big table. i would 100% recommend this place to large groups looking to explore the city.

    shira2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using AirBnb and Justin and Becca were incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. They responded to everyone of my questions and offered great suggestions about what to do in the city. I hosted my brother's bachelor party and everyone agreed this was the perfect house for the large group of 12. When we arrived, they had a welcome packet that included tons of great information and answered questions about the house that you tend not to think about before you come. The house also includes a ton of features that really added to our experience such as enough keys for all of us (incredibly helpful when you are scattered throughout the city and come home at different times), wifi, washer/dryer, clean linens/towers, fridge filled with goodies, old school record player that we played all night long, huge outdoor space with a large outdoor table where we catered fantastic Texas BBQ, dart board, and too many more to list. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Austin Thanks again guys!

    Andrew2013-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a great house! Justin & Becca were so hospitable to our group and allowed us to check-in early and check-out late. Everything about the house is curated so well. The attention to detail is amazing and it was a wonderful place to host a bachelorette party. Unfortunately it rained on Saturday so we were not able to use the backyard (which is so charming). We will be back!

  • Kathleen did such a wonderful job of making her house a home! It was warm and inviting. Along with just the charm of the neighborhood, Kathleen really put thought into the little details. There were small snacks, drinks, and coffee available, along with any little toiletries you might have forgotten. The location was fabulous too! We did rent a car, but we're easily within 5-10 minutes of everywhere we wanted to go. Thank you for the relaxing home away from home!

    Jessica2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Far beyond expectations. Kathleen is definitely A "pro"- there was nothing lacking in the way of comfort or amenities. No doubt we will return

    Laura2016-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using Airbnb and I'm very happy with the experience. Kathleen met us the first day and was very welcoming, explaining the house and showing us a map of the area. Her house is really cute and the location was perfect. Very walkable location. We had a great time!

    Corey2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice little home located near the river, loved the keurig coffee machine and snack Kathleen provide for the guest.

    Ruizhe2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Merits 6 stars, not 5!! Exceptional experience from start to finish. Kathleen's home welcomes visitors as if they were her family. The only thing I would recommend she change: the cost. It should be HIGHER!!!

    Tim2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen was DELIGHTFUL!! I will definitely be looking to book one of her spaces every time we're in Austin from now on. Perfect location, perfect hostess, lovely decor, super clean, can't hope for more. If I could give her ten stars, I would.

    Emily2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The listing description was very accurate based on its description and the picture. We were not disappointed. Kathleen met us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. She took time to answer questions, show us how the thermostat works and where the extra bed was located. This house is located in the cutest neighborhood. It is very quiet and away from the bustle of Austin. It is close to 35 and Congress St. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Be sure to check out my guidebook. Look for the navigation icon in top right corner (web version only).
  • Great place and great host! Just as described. The mattresses could use an upgrade, but beside that everything else was superb.

    Alby2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Angel's place was perfect! Everything worked - i.e. appliances, a/c, hot water, etc. The furnishing were adorable and comfortable. The location was great. I was a little worried about being right on Oltorf, but it was easy to get in and out of the property. I know Austin well, so I knew we'd be close to a lot of cool things. Can't believe how improved this neighborhood is since I last lived in Austin 5 years ago. The house was smaller than I had imagined it, but no matter. We fit perfectly and felt right at home. Angel is a sweetheart!

    Mercer2013-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Angel's was great. The house is very comfortable and clean. The location between South 1st and Lamar is ideal for taking in all South Austin has to offer. Thank you Angel for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house.

    gerald2013-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very cute - adorable decor and we felt very welcome. The kitchen is stocked with most of what you need for cooking, which was great, and there are stores very nearby with anything else you might want. The bunk bed was very squeaky - I was tempted to find a screwdriver and try to tighten the screws! But our kids loved sleeping on it and the main bed was comfy for my husband and myself. The location is very central and it was easy to get around Austin, even in the notoriously bad traffic. In all, a sweet house in a good location.

    Greg And Hillery2015-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Atomic ranch was the perfect place in Austin! So cute and stylish but also so close to everything we needed! Angel was very accommodating and communication was easy. I would definitely recommend this for any Austin visitors!

    Jessica2013-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Angel was extremely helpful with the AirBnb. I actually had a chance to chat with her and she's an awesome individual. She gave me the best suggestion for breakfast in a great part of town. Overall, it was a great stay.

  • Marwa and Alex's space is absolutely wonderful! It is really close to everything you may need and the accommodations and attention to detail are right on point and truly go above and beyond. We were in town for business and their home had more than enough space and was perfect for our party of 4. I should also add that communication was easy, thorough and fast. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

  • Super accommodating, and very comfy. Felt like a hotel. Would definitely come back.

    Tanner2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. the neighborhood was quiet. The house definitely looked more high end than the rest of the houses in the cul-de-sac. The location was perfect with easy access to local shops and many other Austin attractions. Our party of 8 fit very comfortably. The house was very nice overall. there was plenty of kitchenware, soap, clean towels, etc. Access to the house was very simple with the keypad door lock. The only thing that we found negative was that the kitchen trash was full when we arrived at the house. The ice maker did not seem to be making ice but that was not a huge deal because we brought bags of ice with us. The patio is small and has multiple levels.

  • Kristen's place is phenomenal! It's perfect for a small or large group since the place has a lot of flexibility and amenities. It's in a perfect location - close enough to the highway and Downtown Austin (6th street) so getting around isn't an issue at all. Best part about this place - the roof deck! It's a perfect way to start or end any day - beautiful views of Downtown Austin. We highly recommend this place for any sized group, and appreciate the hospitality from Kristen! • Kristen was a tremendous, accommodating host. We had a great time staying at her townhome!

    Will2012-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen and her husband, Brian, were perfect hosts! They were incredibly accommodating to our large group that was visiting Austin for my friend’s bachelorette party. Whenever we had questions or needed help with anything, they were just a phone call away. The apartment was ideally situated – and allowed us easy access to 6th street and beyond. The roof deck was great for hanging out at night or sunbathing during the day. Would highly recommended this apartment owned by the sweetest couple for any big group travelling to Austin. They showed us some real southern hospitality!

  • This place was amazing. It was clean, organized and everything you think you may need or may have forgotten they have thought of it. We have used Airbnb all over the world and this place was by far one of the best places we have stayed. They had snacks and drinks stocked in the cupboards. After a hot day in Austin in the month of August having something to drink by the time we got back was a life saver. They had great recommendations for places to eat, which was helpful since Austin has so many places to choose from to eat at .We were in Austin for work and it was perfect for the two of us. We travel to Austin often so I'm hoping we will be able to book Tim's place again. I can't say enough positive things about this experience, I'm afraid we may not be able to book it again because it will become so popular.

  • I've stayed here many times and always look forward to coming back. Tim and Pat are wonderful hosts!

    Jim2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment. Tim was very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

    Mark 2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience with AirB&B and WOW! Tim and Pat's place was so wonderful! They provided us with everything we needed and much more. We traveled to Austin for our honeymoon, and right when we walked into the place, there was a bottle of champagne and two glasses waiting for us. Tim also types up a whole list of instructions and many restaurant suggestions. The whole place was incredibly clean and modern. They even provided us with toiletries that are commonly forgotten when traveling- tooth brushes, tooth paste, body wash, etc. We stayed there for 8 nights, so I'm not sure if this is something Tim & Pat normally do, but they stocked the fridge full of water bottles and Gatorade for us. They also provided lots of K Cups for coffee, which was a lifesaver because my wife and I are huge coffee drinkers. We never got a change to meet Tim & Pat, but they are amazing amazing hosts! I would highly recommend staying here if you ever travel to Austin. We will absolutely stay here again if we travel back to Texas!!

    Jordan2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tim & Pat's garage apartment was the perfect destination for me and my friend during our visit to Austin. Supremely comfortable, and well appointed, the space looks new, and the neighborhood was cute and quiet. The location is central to everything we were looking to do for the weekend. And we so appreciated the wine, coffee and snacks provided. Tim also had a listing of close by restaurant recommendations that was helpful in finding the good food of Austin. I would highly recommend this listing, and would definitely book it again if coming back to Austin.

    Linda2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great experience working with Tim and staying at his place in E Austin! Even before the trip started, Tim emailed me several days beforehand with detailed directions on how to get from the airport to his place (photos and maps included). He also gave me easy instructions with accessing his property, including door lock code. Upon entering his place, everything was exactly how it was pictured in the listing photos. Everything was decorated with excellent taste, and the place was incredibly clean. He also provided bottled water, Gatorade, juice, etc. The pantry was stocked with a variety of complimentary snacks, which was a nice and thoughtful touch! And on the counter was a personalized welcome note and a bottle of wine. The bedroom was a perfect size with a comfortable Sleep Number queen bed with adjustable firmness controls. The closets were spacious with plenty of shelf space and hangers. This was really helpful since I was in Austin for over a week for work. Finally, a trip where I didn't feel like I was living out of my suitcase! It made me feel like I actually lived there. The bathroom was portrayed exactly how it was in the photos as well. Extremely clean and sleek, with a walk-in shower with built-in bench. The bathroom closets were also fully stocked with travel toiletries, shampoo, tooth paste, tooth brushes, etc. Tim seriously thought of everything! In closing, I want to say that Tim was incredibly thoughtful in the way he opens up his home to others! You can tell that he only wants the best for his guests, and wants them to keep coming back. Tim, you're great, and I will definitely be staying here again on my future work/leisure trips to Austin!

  • I'm glad all hotels were sold out and I was forced to check out Airbnb. I'm sold. This place was amazing. Hotels could learn something.

    Paul2016-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, modern apartment! Excellently appointed - little touches like a bottle of wine to welcome us, a great coffee selection, and shampoo and conditioner choices made our stay so easy. It was a pleasure to stay there!

  • Veronica was very welcoming and the door code was quite convenient. Driveway was shared so we would have appreciated knowing that in advance so we could park appropriately. Front yard was not as commodious as pictured

    Laura2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This rental is in a great location and is very quiet and private. Lots of windows with great top down- bottom up shades. Outside temp quite chilly while I was there but the place is so well insulated, I never had to turn on the heat. It is a very eclectic, laid back space full of interesting things. Veronica is welcoming and responsive. I am booked to stay at the property again.

    Sherry2013-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location, clean trendy place, hostess is quick to respond to any emails. Couldn't come more highly recommended!

    Meredith 2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Veronica's cottage. It was exactly as described - a real taste of Austin. It was just the right size for the 3 of us that stayed there. The location is great! It's walking distance to SoCo, the Congress Ave bridge, and downtown. We would definitely stay here again!

    Mary2015-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Veronica and the house are both lovely! I felt immediately at home, as though in a super-hip version of my grandparents' house! Veronica's style and her hospitality are hard to beat.

    Kristin2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with Airbnb and I have to say, I honestly couldn't have asked for a better one. Veronica's cottage is amazing. My girlfriend and I were coming into Austin for a few days and requested the place on the same day as our arrival. Veronica was quick to respond, accept, and gave us detailed instructions on how the place works. It's absolutely charming and it's in a fantastic location too. Blocks away from S. Congress and Zilker Park. Getting anywhere you want to go is quick and easy from this place, and having a cozy loft to return home to gave us the ability to experience Austin like a couple of locals. Veronica is a great host and knows Austin so well. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

    Jake2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • very cute place and clean. we really enjoyed our stay. Veronica was very friendly in giving us recommendations.

    Nancy2013-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Veronica's cottage was wonderful. It's located within walking distance to Zilker Park, restaurants on s 1st street, and downtown (okay some of these are about a mile or so walk, so that may be stretching it for some people). It's close to just about everything, yet on a nice, quiet street. Veronica is a great host, making sure we were comfortable and knew how things in the cottage worked. The cottage itself was beautifully and eclectically decorated, cozy, and comfortable. I stayed there with my wife and 4 month old daughter for 4 nights, and we loved it. When I come back to Austin, I'll definitely try to stay here again.

My home was featured in Tribeza magazine on unique vacation rentals in Austin. Enjoy your peek.
But funky in a good way! Please read the whole description and check availability before you hit "book it". There are price changes for special events. This house is available nightly and for month to month rentals up to 90 days. I'm a licensed innkeeper in Austin Tx., OL V00000913537. My rates include all local hotel taxes. The Bouldin neighborhood is one of Austin's hippest areas with plenty of fun things to do and places to eat, drink and be merry. All of the pictures of the Bouldin Neighborhood on Airbnb's site are within 4 blocks of my house. It's a great walking/biking neighborhood and close to many I like to say you're within 3 miles of most anything you would probably want to do in Austin. This is a 1 bedroom+ studio with 2 beds. 1 bath house (600 sq.ft. on) 1/3 of an acre. Full kitchen, extra linens and towels, coffee maker, microwave. My style is eclectic for sure. I'm an artist and it looks like an artist's home. Breakdown of how many people: 1-2 people is perfect. 3 is comfortable. 4 is not uncomfortable. 5-6 is doable for instance, 2 kids. Living room twin with trundle-2 people Bedroom queen-2 people+twin A twin can be added-1 person An air mattress can be added upon request. (the good kind!) You will share a huge yard with the big house but also have a private courtyard. I live in the big house and this is my guest house. I have 2 small dogs that will hello. Your pets are welcome for an extra charge. One of the best things about my listing is the location -1.5 miles from downtown. - It's a 15 drive to Circuit of the Americas racetrack which hosts the Formula 1 Grand Prix. -The house is about 10-15 minutes from the airport and is a cheap uber ride. - It takes 10 minutes to get to the convention center by bike. -The #5 bus is next door from me - I’m 2 blocks from S. Lamar- lots of venues and restaurants. 4 blocks from South 1st-lots of trendy food trailers and restaurants. And 8 blocks to South Congress. That’s right, THE world famous part of South Congress. - Across my back fence is Thai Fresh and Thrice coffee house and venue - 3 blks away is Bouldin Creek Café and Polvo’s Mexican restaurant. -Zilker Park- 1.5 mi., -The Long Center-1 mi., and Lady Bird Lake - This is a great place to be during SXSW as we also have SXS Austin for free everywhere in my neighborhood. And no wristbands! -During ACL you're 5 min by bike because it's all downhill. Coming home is another thing! Money Stuff: -Each person over 2 During SXSW is $100 - Each person over 2 is $35 except during during F1($75) -F1 has a 3 night minimum, ACL has a 3/night minimum -pets are $25/day I’m an Austin native and a wealth of resources and information. Knowing a local is like gold when you’re traveling so ask anything. Thanks for considering my place!
Even though gentrification and property taxes have moved a lot of what others considered "weird" but I've always considered pretty normal, there are still enough Movie stars, rock stars, and vatos to keep things interesting.
  • I loved how clean, lively, and well-appointed the house is. Lots of comfy bedding and more than enough kitchen supplies. The back yard area is lovely and idealistic. We had been on the road for a while so I appreciated that. Gigi was around and easy to be in touch with if we needed. The Thai place behind the house is amazing!! Not to be missed for coffee or lunch!

    Laurie2016-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great Place! Perfect location. Gigi was a gracious host and was very accommodating. It was our first time using Airbnb and we booked 15 min before we arrived! Walking distance to everything! Look forward to visiting again!

  • Very lovely and clean place! Well represented in the photos. Great homebase for our 3 nights in Austin. No tv was excellent as we like to unplug on vacation! The small kitchen worked well for us because I cook for myself due to food allergies. We met Gigi briefly our first day and she was very nice. We never needed anything during our stay but I felt that if we had she would've been responsive and helpful.

  • Thank you for a great weekend in Austin. The home was exactly as described in your listing, and so much more. Upon arrival the home was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We were looking for a location that gave us a true feeling for an Austin neighborhood and your home was just that. We only had a short amount of time and we were able to cover so much ground: First off we ate our way through Austin with a short 5 -10 minute walk to First Street, and everything we had was excellent (Sway Thai, Torchy's Tacos, Bouldin Creek Cafe, Sugar Mama's bakeshop, Soup Peddler) We definitely missed several restaurants on First Street we would have liked to try. Heading the other direction we went to Saxon Pub (10-15 minute walk ) for some great live music. SOCO and downtown were a 15 - 20 minute walk. I would highly recommend your home, and we hope rent your property on our next visit to Austin.

    Sara2014-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gigi's studio was amazing. Great location, funky bohemian decor, all the amenities a person could ask for. Plus, Betty the boston is such a cutie. Thanks GiGi!

    CASSIE2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gigi's house is in the best location. We could walk everywhere - s. Lamar street, 1st street, south congress. We also loved walking around the Bouldin neighborhood looking at all of the amazing and fun homes around the area! Our lab was also very at home in her great backyard.

    Kathryn2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gigi's guesthouse was lovely and we were very comfortable. The neighborhood was quite nice too. I would certainly stay here again.

    Angad2015-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen's place is fantastic. She is a lovely host. Gives you space if you want it but is a phone call away for questions or anything you need. The shower is great, the place is perfectly clean and quiet. Her place is cozy, adorable, colorful and situated in the middle of SOCO, a stone's throw from amazing restaurants and shops. We attended a conference at one of the hotels downtown and just didn't want to stay in the hotel. I am so glad I didn't! Bus stops are close, and service is reliable and convenient. You could actually walk downtown, or most anywhere, if you are ambitious. Austin is even more wonderful than I expected and Gretchen's place made it a wonderful visit. I can't wait to come back and stay there again!

Sleeps 8 (2 bedrooms)-Hip, charming and cozy in Travis Heights, one of the most popular and most beloved South Austin neighborhoods. Perfect for SXSW, ACL, XGame and in the heart of the action. Located walking distance (few blocks) to the hippest street in town!-South Congress and South First! Few minutes by car from huge WholeFoods Market. Walking distance to grocery store HEB and few restaurants and shops. Safe, quiet and walkable neighborhood. Free parking in the driveway.
Cozy and hip 2 bedroom apartment in a fantastic area of Austin. Newly renovated, all new appliances, floors and windows. Perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Austin! Luxurious sheets and other extra special touches. Only a few blocks from two of the hippest streets in town (South Congress and South First). A quick and cheap cab or direct bus to downtown. The kitchen has an electric stove, fridge dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils (plates, silverware, pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc.) you'll need. Our vacation rental is protected by e-locks. In other words, NO KEYS NO HASSLE! Prior to your stay we simply email you a unique code that works for your reservation only. Late check in is not a problem! The private backyard is an ideal place to share a bottle of wine or have your morning coffee. Please note, this is a place for private get together and not a party house. You also have access to a community heated spring fed swimming pool near by.
Our vacation rental is located walking distance (few blocks) to South Congress Ave (SOCO), a hip strip that features an array of eclectic shops, restaurants, bars, boutiques, antiques, music venues and galleries. Every first Thursday of the month, stores remain open until 10pm. Years ago when people talked about Austin they would quickly mention the music. But that's just the beginning of what they're saying these days. Austin is also home to a wonderful ballet, world-class museums, one-of-a-kind shopping and beautiful outdoor spaces. You can just as easily spend your morning paddling the lake as you can strolling through a celebrated history museum. And it's okay if you don't have time to fit it all in, you can just come back and visit us again. South Congress Avenue and South Lamar Boulevard deliver offbeat shopping and dining and legendary live music haunts including the Broken Spoke, the last of the true Texas dance halls, the legendary Continental Club and the Saxon Pub. First Thursdays on South Congress offer a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere that brings the musicians to the street and shopping late into the evening where funky galleries, vintage shops, clothing and furniture stores, jewelry shops and salons stay open until 10:00pm (or later). South congress is Austin’s SoHo, eclectic and fun. On South Congress Avenue, two to three blocks are filled with a diverse selection of quirky shops featuring everything from ’50s-style furniture to folk art. Boot shops, galleries, antiques and other curiosities fill quaint boutiques. In between the shops, visitors will find a wide variety of culinary delights. There’s no place quite like South Austin, a wonderful hodgepodge of eclectic storefronts, people, architecture and sheer funk. And South First Street, a busy thoroughfare that is a straight shot from downtown, provides a taste of that über-cool scene, from the automotive shops and art galleries housed in tiny cottages to the restaurants and day spas. We like to park, walk, and take it all in. South First has blossomed into a very diverse restaurant row, with places like Sway, Elizabeth Street Cafe, and Lenoir. Other fun activities in Travis Heights: Travis Heights has two community pools that are absolutely free to use and are a very popular place on the weekends in the summer. Both are located at the center of the neighborhood, so they’re convenient for nearly every resident. 1. Located in Big Stacy Park at 700 East Live Oak St, Stacy Pool is the pool you go to when you want to swim laps. Most of the pool is set up for lane swim, so its the perfect place to get some exercise. There are a few parking spots right near the entrance to the pool, but your best bet would be to park on the street. 2. If you’re looking to hang out in the pool and lounge, Little Stacy Wading Pool is more your style. Located at 1400 Alameda Drive, Little Stacy Park is a popular hang out during the summer. Little Stacy Park also has volleyball, open green space and is the perfect place to spend a summer day.
  • This space was awesome, extremely close to SoCo/downtown (about a 10 minute drive from all the restaurants and bars). The house was extremely spacious and slept 8 of us. Mireille was very responsive and flexible in terms of check-in/out time. We loved our stay in Austin!

  • Small but very clean and convenient. Nice neighborhood. Nice extras. Love a good patio area and this has one. Host is always very responsive - we have stayed at three of Chet's properties and will continue to whenever they are available. I come to Austin for business a few weeks every month and his properties are three of my top ten places to stay if available.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Chet's awesome rental! The space was exactly as described, and perfect for us - it served as a great home base in between all of our activities. The rental was within walking distance to downtown and many wonderful area restaurants. Chet was a fabulous host, providing us with water, pop, and snacks. Coordinating logistics with him was easy, as he was always proactive in providing details we needed and quick to answer any questions we had. I'd highly recommend staying at Chet's, and I would stay again if I ever find myself in Austin in the future!

    Meghan2015-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Chet was very helpful and responsive in his replies. Place was wonderful and a great place to stay. They had a mini-fridge that was stocked with snacks, but just a heads up, there isn't a full kitchen here, which didn't impact me at all. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here and would come back.

Best neighborhood in Austin. Walkable to several entertainment districts. Some of the best bars and restaurants are less than 10 minutes walk.
  • Stayed from March 8 - 16 during SXSW. Great house, great location. Short walk to downtown and around the corner from a variety of cool East Austin food trucks, restaurants, and bars. Very clean, modestly sized but excellent use of space made staying with eight people surprisingly comfortable. Beautiful backyard, great porch, comfortable couches, big screen TV, and Netflix / Hulu / etc made occasional downtime a pleasure. Jeremy was very helpful with finding the best local food and drink and left some great snacks and beers for our arrival. Would stay again.

  • We rented the back and front house, which worked out well for our group of 10. The house was clean and exactly as portrayed. The outdoor space was great for enjoying the beautiful Austin evening. Most importantly, Jeremy's place is perfectly located. Lastly, Jeremy is very responsive and attended our questions and requests with diligence.

  • This house was great for our group. Great location and close to everything. Walking distance to cool bars and restaurants. The property is really cool especially if you utilize both units/ houses. Jeremy was immediately available for anything we needed. If you're looking for a good value/location in Austin this is the spot.

Our brand new, modern home is in an unbeatable location on the funky east side. Just 5 minutes walking from Rainey St and downtown Austin, guests can enjoy all that Austin offers and have a relaxing space to return to. Best location for SXSW/F1!
Brand new modern house. Beautiful touches are everywhere - from the stainless kitchen appliances to the spacious tiled showers to the custom painted arrow wall in the living room. The sleeping arrangements are as follows: -3 queen beds in 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6) -Two trifold twin mattresses/linens are stored in the master closet and can be placed in any room for a customized sleeping configuration. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. Or if you prefer, you can just relax at the dining table with a cup of Texas pecan coffee. Mounted flat screens in the living room and master have built in Roku so you never have to be separated from your beloved Netflix, HBO Go or Amazon Prime. Each floor has a Nest thermostat so setting the perfect temp is a breeze! If you have a car with you, there is plenty of free street parking just in front of the home. We have handpicked (and even handpainted!) every piece in this space to reflect the local style as well as some global accents inspired by our favorite travels/travel wishlist. We hope you love the house as much as we do! Follow on Instagram @theglobalgetaway for more photos and recommendations for the best places in Austin. Our neighborhood is in the colorful, vibrant and creative east side, directly next to downtown and walking distance to Lady Bird Lake. The house is a 5 minute walk to Rainey St. where you can find everything from craft beer to delicious interior Mexican and some of the best food trucks in Austin. In addition, there are many amazing restaurants, coffee shops and bars within walking distance on the east side including Cenote, La Barbecue, and Weather Up. While my street is full of large new homes, this is still a slightly transitional neighborhood. If you use the same common sense as you would in any other downtown area of a city (like not walking late at night), it is safe. We've had many families and groups of girls and people generally love the location.
  • Very nice, modern house, walking distance from Rainey! Pallu was a great host.

    Michael2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pallu's house is perfect for a group stay in Austin. It is large, clean, and modern. The location is walking distance from bustling Rainey Street. Pallu is accommodating and hospitable. She made the stay very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Austin!

  • This was a great location and great person to rent from in the Austin area. The house is brand new and very clean. the layout was really open downstair. There are 3 bedrooms and the master bedroom was really large and fit an air mattress with space. It was great for our group and the outside area was perfect for our dog. The house is walking distance to Rainey district and short Lyft to 6th street and downtown Austin. Working out the details with Pallu was really easy! I would definitely stay here again! (Already thinking about our next trip) and recommend it to anyone visiting Austin!! Thanks Pallu!!!!

    Melissa2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at this property while in town for a family wedding. The house is new, clean and "connected." It easily accommodated six adults and we enjoyed spending time together in theater open kitchen/living room area. A short walk to Rainey St, Easy to Uber to other spots downtown. Overall a great property and experience with Pallu!

    David2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Pallu was very communicative before and during our stay. It was easy to check in late at night, and the place seems brand new and very clean! Short walk to all the great places on Rainey St. We had a fantastic stay!

    Julie2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Pallu's house is absolutely amazing. It is in the perfect location to explore Austin and especially rainy street. Pallu is an experienced host and I would 100% stay there again!!

    Alex2015-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • There was a welcome basket waiting for us upon arrival complete with a directory of nearby bars and restaurants. We were in town for ACL and Zilker Park was a quick bike ride on the river away. Rainey Street is about a 4-5 minute walk. Perfect location, great house!

    Trystan2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Pallu's house in East Austin. It's a great place to stay and has everything that you need. Also, for those that are runners, you are just a few short blocks from an amazing run around the lake. Thanks!

The sun room is a large, bright room with it's own entrance. The house is close to downtown as well as Alamo Drafthouse, Ramen Tatsu-ya, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Bartlett's, Hanabi Sushi, Top Golf, The Domain restaurants & shopping, Hop Doddy and Pinballz old school arcade. You’ll love our place because we're friendly, the back yard is awesome, the neighborhood is quiet, and you're a 10 minute drive to downtown. There's also a bus station walking distance as well. *Car for rent available too!
The house is a 1400 square foot space with everything you need!
Our neighbors are very friendly and the house is on a quiet street. We have quick access to all the major highways and roads leading downtown.
  • Nate is awesome. I can say that this was the first place that truly felt like home. I really did feel like I was just another roommate living there. He's very helpful and nice. I only have good things to say about Nate's place.

    Gustavo2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was nice for a quick stay! The host was very friendly. There are 3 rooms that they air bnb, so expect plenty of people to be in the house.

    Kelsea2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Nate went above and beyond to help me out.

    Ken2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Room was immaculate. Welcome note was personalized and provided important information. Super friendly host :)

    Michael2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This host, Nate should not only get an airbnb host award but human being of the year award as well. I was going to spend the night on the town in Austin and ended up just chatting with Nate and spending time with his sweet dogs. And he wasn't pushy about convo or hanging out there or anything. Very easy going with giving me space after my trip. I was just tired after a long drive and it was a comfortable place to hang out and decompress rather than sight see Austin. Nate rescued a couple of the sweetest dogs. Not even barkers. Just dogs that were abandoned who need love. They just don't make human beings of higher character. The whole house was really clean and well organized. Even the dogs knew their place. Very clean dogs. Not pushy or rambunctious. Plus the room was great. Private. Quiet. With AC and TV. It was adjoining with thick privacy curtains over French doors that lock. But also had a separate rear entrance. The place looks far from Austin but actually it's around the corner from the I35 in a residential "burb" where you could pop into town or head north to DFW. Nate says about 10 min from downtown. Sounds right. And it's also close to Lamar St which is the main drag into downtown Austin. I guess you could take the bus if you were motivated. Looks a little far for a public bus trip but . . . That part of Lamar is not a Starbucks type hood. So I had to freeway it there. There is a well rated BBQ nearby. It was a deal airbnb for Austin where lot of the rentals are in the sky high range. (probably shouldn't write that because now it will be hard to get a room there next time - hahaha) Parking wasn't a problem either. Easy to park in front of his house. Again residential quiet. Middle class. Family like. I have a nice car and it wasn't a concern leaving overnight out front. It's a great airbnb, especially considering all of the super high rentals in the downtown Austin area with phantom hosts. This was a personable host in a down to earth safe home. It was such a deal I over splurged on my BBQ dinner. hahaha Thanks Nate!

Fully remodeled 1955 Spartan Mansion with a modern interior, expansive deck, and all the conveniences of a high end hotel. In the center of vibrant east Austin. Walking distance to dozens of bars/eateries. On a large landscaped lot. Very private.
This Spartan came to us in 2012 after spending 50 years untouched in a field in Mississippi. It's interior was consumed in a fire in the late 60's. As an homage to it's history, we finished several walls in burned cedar planks following the japanese art of Sho Sugi Ban for wood preservation. We've spent almost 2 years completely remodeling this Spartan Royal Mansion.
We live in one of the most exciting vibrant neighborhoods in the U.S. Come visit East Austin from a walkable/bikeable location. Our property sits in between the Manor Road restaurants and East 6th.
  • Absolutely wonderful place in the stunning garden! We really had a great stay in the newly refurbished trailer. Communication and check in was super easy. Highly recommended. We would definately stay here again when in town!

    Yu2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was awesome, Spartan mansion was in good shape and really comfortable, and the dogs are cool as hell. Stay here!

    Alex2015-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay at Sara's. Loved the vintage trailer experience. The Spartan is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated in a way that feels modern, clean, functional, and fun. I loved playing vintage records and exploring her book collection. It rained the whole time I was visiting, but that almost made the Spartan even more fun to be in. I highly recommend Sara's guesthouse to anyone interested. Thank you again for sharing your place Sara!

    Audrey2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was quick to respond when any issue came up & the place looked exactly as we expected. The only frustration was the lock, which is bent & took three of us working at it each time we tried to leave.

    Elizabeth2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. It's a very unique and comfortable place, close to many of the cool restaurants in East Austin. Very comfortable and quiet stay, I'll definitely come back.

    Brendon2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was very warm and welcoming. She accommodated our early arrival, and got us pointed in the right direction for fun.

    Adam2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sara was an awesome host and her place was super cool! The decor is modern and the trailer feels very spacious. The pictures are totally accurate and the place is even more charming in person. They also have an amazing record collection with speakers in ever room. I loved the selection and jammed out all weekend. The bathroom was surprisingly large and very clean. Close to everything fun in Austin, but feels very private. The property is beautiful and feels like staying in a secret garden. Highly recommend.

    Amber2016-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! The detail and character of the spartan was so fun! Loved having the record player and the book selection was very entertaining.

Its the right size for a short stay with privacy. Two doors may give you your own entrance, if you choose, so not to disturb the house. Backyard, kitchen, living room and washer/dryer access. Close to the Domain, public transit (bus), and a bicycle is available for you to use, if you wish. A cat and dog will be happy to see you and any of your four-legged companions. Please read our house manual and house rules before you arrive. :)
You'll have your own room with a view of the Dragonfly pond, one (1) full-sized bed, drawers and closet as well as a full bathroom and writing desk all to yourself. Make use of the living room, kitchen, washer/dryer, backyard sitting area and breakfast nook. Parties of 3-4: Although our home is better suited for 2 or less, it is possible to sleep up to 4. But please be advised: The two extra guests would sleep on an AeroBed (a wonderful air mattress) in the living room and will be charged $25 extra for parties of 3-4 and and additional $15 on-top for a party of 5. (total of $40 on-top of nightly rate.) All guests would share the same bathroom!
The Northstar Greenbelt is very close and offers a great way to relax with a bit of nature and a walk. Check out Walnut Creek for hiking, biking, swimming and off-leash dog walks. About a mile away! Very close to the Domain and a few other necessities.
  • Clayton and Sandra were very welcoming and made our first airbnb experience a very positive one. They were great with pre-arrival communication and the space was exactly what we wanted. They have wonderful pets that made us feel at home (we have lots of our own and always miss the comfort having a pet around provides when we stay at hotels). Very good hosts - highly recommend.

    Alaina2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Clayton and Sandra were very quick to respond and very accommodating. Their place is neat and clean. Their pets were super friendly. Location was good, just about 15 min from everything i visited in Austin. For the short time i was there it was nice and cozy.

    Kyle2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great stay. I'd definitely book Clayton and Sandra's place again. I didn't see them much but they were very nice and communicative with me during my stay. Their dog Artemis is very friendly.

    Rashidi2017-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sandra and Clayton have a lovely place outside of Austin. They were great at giving us informations and recommendations to things we had mentioned we would like to do during our stay. The room and bathroom were very clean and had very nice products. We unfortunately only stayed one night and did not get to spend much time at the house, but I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you do not need to stay in the downtown area and want a nice homey place. Their dog and cat were adorable!

    Camilla2017-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Claytons place is easy, its comfortable and they do all they can to accommodate your needs. Great people!

    Christine 2017-01-20T00:00:00Z

  • Clayton's listing is definitely one of the best value's for the price. Overall I had an excellent experience while staying at Clayton's place. The accommodations were very clean, he was very responsive, and my privacy was held with great respect. Fantastic stay overall!

Thanks for stopping by! We proudly brag that we have been SUPER HOSTS for 13 consecutive quarters (3.5yrs)! Please ensure to read ALL the way through the listing, there is important info you need to know before you book. The prices for Sunday-Thursday (nights not including a Friday or Saturday night) are for business travelers with 4 people or less. There is a $30/person/night charge over 4 guests during these nights. PLEASE NOTE- Airbnb (not the host) now collects Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax.
Recently renovated and upgraded pictures are accurate. Located within steps of Downtown ATX on the famous South Congress, this 2/2 can sleep 12 comfortably, 13-14 if you like your travel buddies. There is 3 real beds within the 2 bedrooms. The master has a King bed and access to a bathroom. The other bedroom has 2 queen beds, with a private bathroom. These 2 rooms can sleep 6 when doubled up. The rest of the guests would then utilize air mattresses that can be set up in the living room at night. The Air pumps are either attached to some of the beds, or there are separate pumps available. The sectional sofa can also be utilized and if you are desperate there is 2 single tubs as well :) A group of 14 will fit if y'all doubled up where appropriate (king and queen bed). Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any clarification about sleeping arrangements. I have hosted many many groups with 11+ guests and as you can see from my reviews, they have loved the space :)
Living in Austin on South Congress is worth bragging about. The SoCo area always has something going on, and it is right were everyone wants to be. Everything worth doing is steps away. Have it be walking downtown to check out a concert at ACL, hitting the numerous bars on 6th St, or just cruising down SOCO to checkout the restaurants, shops or food trailers. I love this Neighborhood and have loved here for 4 years now, with no plan to leave it. Questions? I'm available all the time and frequently check my emails... shouldn't be too long till you get a reply.
  • Both Heather and her apartment were amazing! The place was even better than she described. My friends and I stayed in the apartment for the second weekend of ACL, and everyone agreed that it was perfect. Heather was an extremely gracious host, and even dropped off some rain ponchos when it was a little rainy on the second day of the festival. Perfect experience!

    Jeff2014-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a great host. She was easy to reach and answered the few questions we had. The house was amazing too! Great location, great TV, great great great! Thanks for the weekend Heather. Mark

    Mark2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a very helpful host, providing loads of information before and during the stay about the property and Austin. The property was large and clean and in a very good location for a night in downtown and boozy brunch the morning after.

    James2015-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a very welcoming host! Right from the moment we made the reservation she responded via email with a very hospitable and warm welcome. This was my first airbnb experience and i couldn't have been more pleased. The place was as described and as pictured. We had 14 guys out for a bachelor party and we were tight but it was fine with the bunk beds and couch space/air mattresses/cot. The apartment complex couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone in the place seemed to be in the 21-32 year age range and were all very nice. The pool was very active with full bbq area and one of the residents playing music. Unfortunately, the Jeep was stolen the week before our trip so we did not get to use it but Heather was quick to resolve the situation and bought us some essentials we needed upon arrival and gave us cash for Uber's while we were there. Overall, we had such a great time. The location is perfect, right in between downtown/6th st/Rainey and all that the SoCo area has to offer (restaurants, food trucks and cool shops). I recommend it for anyone looking to be a quick Uber ride away from everything that Austin has to offer.

    Nick2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Eleven friends and I had a great stay at Heather's! Great communication and she's very helpful. Would definitely do it again. Thanks, Heather!

    Brian2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great time in Austin! Heather was very accommodating. Highly recommend her as you Austin host!

    Jimmy2016-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather rocks. Simple as that. She is an amazing host. This was our second time staying at Heathers for SXSW and once again it was amazing. She thinks of every detail and delivers. Her communication before, during and after the trip makes you feel like a VIP and the space is amazing. It’s clean, spacious and the décor is has a very cool vibe. The location for SXSW is a breeze. Easy to and from. I walked to the convention center and back every day with no problem. Actually quite enjoyed it. When I say I never want to stay anywhere else in Austin, I mean it. There is no need to waste my time and look anywhere else, because like I said, Heather rocks.

    Frank2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a bachelorette party. Heather was awesome and so helpful from beginning to end. The place is even better than the pictures. Would definitely stay here again!

The streets are quiet yet friendly, the neighborhood safe, and all the best of Austin is less than 5 minutes away.
  • The house and grounds were beautiful. Adam was a great host; he was easy to reach, yet left us to our privacy all weekend. The Coffee Bean is nearby and has delicious coffee. Easy drive to Downtown area. Lovely neighborhood. Perfect house for our girls trip. Definitely recommend and would stay there again. Only tip to future guests is to bring an eye mask if you like to sleep in as there are no curtains and the bright Austin sun shines in! :)

Great for our family celebrating our daughters Wedding weekend! I would highly recommend this great Airbnb! Thanks Adam. PS very comfy beds and linen very needed when you've been busy traveling!

  • Adam welcomed us into his modern Austin home over the 4th of July holiday. The modern home is in a hip and safe neighborhood for a family. My young niece and nephew loved the house. The house is spacious and great for family gatherings. The large windows make you appreciate the outdoors from the inside and the upper patio had beautiful views of downtown Austin. The location is also great. Many Austin attractions are minutes from the beautiful home. We would definitely stay here again.

    Leah2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning and state of the art house in very pleasant neighbourhood location. Easy access to downtown and very close to trendy, renowned local bars and restaurants. Running trails and Barton Springs pool are very close by - we were on the running trail in less than 5 minutes. House lives up to expectations (and the pictures). Definitely a special place. It is very spacious, bright and airy, extremely comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. Very well suited to a larger group. Adam was very responsive and helpful, including being willing to accommodate a couple of extra requests at short notice.

  • Adam has an absolutely gorgeous house, and it was the perfect space for our group. He was a great host and was available for any questions. The house had everything we needed and more, and everything was comfortable and easy to use. The location was an easy and cheap Uber ride away from all of our destinations, and also walking distance to some other great sites. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Austin!

  • We had 8 of us stay for 4 nights. Nicest place in the neighborhood. Super comfortable house. Tons of natural light. The lounging couch on the 2nd floor was great place to relax. Adam was a great host and left us his number if we needed anything. We used car2go to get around town and was never more than a few min walk to grab a car and head downtown. Highly recommend for groups coming down for events. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Austin

They location of our house is incredibly convenient. It is 10 blocks from 6th street and 8 from the capital. Close to Erwin, Breckenridge Hospital, UT campus and stadium, venues like Stubbs and Mohawk etc, restaurants, bars, parks, and everything else in downtown Austin.
Located in Swedish Hill neighborhood just 8 blocks east of the capital. In fact this historic home once belonged to the man for whom this neighborhood took its namesake.
  • For the amount that we paid for the house, it was a good place to stay. It also is very close to both Rainey and Sixth Street. The pictures make the house seem a bit better than it actually is. Jeffery was very helpful both before, during and after the stay. RideAustin had some difficulty finding the house at times, and drivers went to the DoubleTree. It is an older house, but depending on your needs, it can be a good house for your situation.

  • Jefferey was attentive and welcoming to all of our questions and needs. The place is a great value and location. I would say if you are looking for a place to crash while exploring Austin, this is perfect, however, the home is older and definitely could have been cleaner. If you're looking to spend a bulk of your time in the home, it may be better to look elsewhere. Can't be beat for a place to sleep for large groups, though!

  • Stayed here for a bachelor party. Great place to stay for a large group. It's no looker but we enjoyed the stay.

  • House was great for crashing at while visiting the city. We had 13 guys there and had no issues.

  • Jeffery was very hospitable and we had a great time! There was plenty of room for us all and it is located very close to downtown! The house is a little older and the parking lot does have a bit of glass so drive careful but overall it was a perfect place to crash at night after exploring Austin!

  • Jeffery is super nice and friendly. The place is huge and had everything we needed.

  • Great place to stay! It's a 5 minute uber ride to downtown, and the location and parking is unbeatable.

  • Jeffery has the perfect place for a large group of people looking to explore Austin. Definitely a college house feel, but that was exactly what our group needed. Jeffery is very helpful and responsive.
