  • Clean, cozy, well-decorated apt close to downtown New Haven and Yale. Everything was spotless and exactly as described. Although I was only there for one night, Jessica was extremely friendly and welcoming. Bed was very comfortable. Adorable dog Moses and cat Mister. Parking lot and surrounding street were well lit and safe. Fantastic location, fantastic host, I would highly recommend this listing to others!!

  • Jessica and Adam's place is great for a quick stay -- which is what my stay was! Short but sweet! We were very comfortable in the bed and their kitty, Mister, is the sweetest and has eyes that just stare at you in the most loving way! Thank you for accommodating our stay!!!!

    Christine2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I came in late at night after a long drive and needed a place to sleep for the night. Jessica made it very easy to check in and obtain keys. From her instructions I easily found where to park my car, where toiletries and towels were, how to work electronics in the house, etc. The room and bathroom were very clean and true to the listed description. There was even a very friendly cat for those cat lovers out there. I am very happy with my stay and would stay there again if I needed to in the area.

  • Comfortable, convenient, clean with very friendly hosts. Would absolutely recommend!

This listing is for the entire private relaxing, guest suite on the third floor of the house. There is a well spaced lockable bedroom with a full size bed, a private living room with a double futon sofa. We do have a rollaway bed if needed. There is a private bathroom with a shower. Included in the guest suite is a small private mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, DVD, even an Amazon Echo Dot! This is a great place to just relax for a few days. Ansonia was just featured on Ch 8!
Our house is a big beautiful over 100 year old lady in the Up & Coming town of Ansonia. She has been well kept and recently completely modernized without losing her original beauty. We have big rooms, lots of sunshine, but all the latest in technology and amenities, throughout the house. There are three floors to the house but the quiet relaxing spaces, makes it worth the climb. The Guest suite is on the third floor and its very quiet and peaceful up there. With the huge remote controlled skylights the space is bright, airy and very relaxing. If you prefer the fresh air the large patio in the back of the house is perfect for relaxing or grilling a burger. The kids can make smores in the firepit too. We welcome you to enjoy Casa Delgado conveniently located right between Griffin Hospital and the very walkable downtown area with the constantly growing restaurant row and new shops!
Our house is over a hundred years old, we have tried to keep the integrity of the space true to its origins but have added all the modern luxuries you could need. Ansonia is an up and coming neighborhood with lots of trendy new shops and more moving in! We are conveniently located right down the road about 4 streets over from Griffin hospital, we are 15 minutes outside of New Haven City, and about 10 minutes to Shelton's Indian Wells state park and beach. We are about 20 minutes from Milford, Orange, 10 minutes to Shelton or Oxford, and 5 minutes from Seymour and Derby. Ansonia's downtown is has a bunch of New trendy restaurants. The Award winning Crave fusion ( they have a live Pianist on Fridays & Saturdays) , Koi Sushi, Bangkok Thai restaurant, Copper City grill, Thigh High chicken and the Eddie's bakery are just a few. Walk from the restaurants towards our own mini shopping area, with Banko's music store or go to Homegoods or Marshalls across the street from Target. Ansonia is becoming the next place to visit in CT!
  • Catherine's place was absolutely beautiful and perfect for what my family needed. My husband, one year old daughter and I stayed with Catherine for three days while our apartment was being renovated. My husband is a grad student at Yale so we needed a place that was affordable and less than thirty minutes away from Yale's campus. Catherine's place was a gem! Catherine was so organized and thoughtful. She knew our one year old would be coming along with us, so she left a pack and play set for us to use and even left a baby gate for the stairs! Every outlet was also baby proofed, which we also thought was awesome. There were a ton of board games available, plenty of channels to watch and even an air hockey table. The bedroom was so cute and the bed was super comfy! There were towels and washcloths there for us to use and Catherine even had extra blankets for us to use! Catherine replied to every message promptly and check in was incredibly easy. I'd recommend Catherine's place to anyone! We used Airbnb when we traveled to Dubai, Tanzania and Paris and Catherine's place was definitely the most organized :)

    Alleea2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Catherine's beautiful home was absolutely wonderful. The suite is very cozy and I felt right at home. Catherine was a great host and always responded very quickly, was so friendly, and welcoming. I highly recommend Catherine! Nothing negative to say at all.

    Kim2017-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was probably the BEST AirBnB experience I've ever had. The space was beautiful, and Catherine was very helpful at check in. There were lots of labels, snacks and spaces to spread out during our stay. I'd love to visit again!

    Lorry2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very pleasant stay.  The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. There was more than ample supplies provided. The hosts, Catherine and Daniel were friendly and willing to help with providing directions, restaurant recommendations, or any additional needs. A definite 5 star rating.

    Sharon2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and cozy private third floor guest suite! You access thru the back door, up a flight and enter thru their kitchen. The stairs to the Airbnb suite are tucked away so you're not bothering the hosts, but we definitely considered coming/going so as to not interrupt too much. The space was beautiful- other airbnbs we've stayed in have felt thrown together or like the bare minimum with old mismatched furniture, etc. Catherine & Daniel obviously put a lot of effort and time into making the space feel comfortable, and they thought of everything. Lots of extra blankets, towels, anything you forgot to bring. Can't say enough great things about this stay.

    Alyssa2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay! Catherine and Daniel were SO nice and went over the top to make sure everything was perfect for us. We had never been to this area before and they had great recommendations for us. Their place had everything we needed and more. It is very well kept, clean, and well decorated. Recommend it to all!

    Amanda2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine and her family were so welcoming! Not a detail was missed and anything we needed were right at our fingertips. VERY thoughtful host! Super clean, super organized, super helpful! This is what staying at an Air B&B is all about! I feel as though we have some new wonderful friends! Thank you Thank you!

    Nina2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place is awesome, all like in the pictures. The family is lovely and friendly. Always checking if we were ok. Thank you Casa Delgado!

My house is my oasis and it is very quiet and relaxing. In one of the best areas of Seymour, CT. Proximity to downtown Seymour, Milford with a shopping, movie theaters and restaurants, a walking distance to Park makes this place incredibly attractive.
Quiet street with only local traffic. Great spot for a run, nice walk or bike ride. There is also a Park with pond and hiking trails. Downtown with a shopping, movies theater, a large selection of the restaurants, close highways.
  • Svetlana was very accommodating especially since our start was during the holiday.

    Jennifer2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Svetlana's place was nice. Good wifi, right near the highway, and she was readily available to answer any questions.

  • We spent 5 nights here at the end of 2017. A good deal in a central location for visiting our family. Lots of space for our family of 4 plus a baby. A no frills spot - could have used some more basic amenities like additional trash cans and towels - and it was quite cold (tho the weather was exceptionally cold). Be aware of steep driveway for winter travel! The apt was clean and otherwise well outfitted.

    Jennifer2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Marsha and her place were super great! We stayed after a concert in New York to cut our trip in half. The place was clean and cute, and exactly what we needed! The neighborhood is extremely safe. Her husband helped us with the lock box and she very sweetly checked in on us throughout our stay by messaging us on here...just the right mix of accommodation and privacy :)

    Jess2017-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room was great. It had everything you needed, and very efficient from the parking space to the check in. The host went out of her way to accommodate us and responded immediately to all our messages. This is great for the price, and it a nice area.

  • Marsha is a friendly and caring host. She checked up on me everyday to see how I was doing which was very thoughtful. Anyone looking for a quiet and relaxed place out in Connecticut this would be a great location. You are living in a downstairs floor with Marsha's parents living upstairs. Although about 25minutes driving to Yale campus, Marsha and her hospitality made it all worthwhile. I would definitely stay here again and thank you, Marsha!

    Ben2017-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brava, Marsha! The apartment was clean, cozy and homey. Private entry, great bed, clean and welcoming. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with nearby eateries and it was quick and easy to get back on our trip. Marsha's dad noticed we left a light on in our car all night and stopped down before he left for work to make sure the car would start. So kind. We hope to see you again when we travel up to Connecticut. Dave & Peggy

  • 2nd visit to this property. I have thoroughly enjoyed staying in the spacious SuperSuite. I enjoy the view out of the wall of windows into the dappled woods. Very relaxing and peaceful. Private bathroom is great. Priscilla is a wonderful host who both respects your privacy and is, at the same time, very helpful and attentive. Would strongly recommend this property.

  • What a fantastic stay I had here! The house is welcoming and the property beautiful - and my room had a gorgeous view of the backyard. The host is thoughtful and kind and I couldn't of imagined a better stay. This was certainly one of my favorite Airbnb stays!

    Sarah2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Priscilla is attentive and very attuned to the needs and routines of her guests. As a business traveler, my employer and my client always come first. Often that requires me to have late night calls, to work after 5pm, or be up and out the door very early in the morning. I need a place where i can decompress after work and still handle my crazy demanding job. I found it at Priscilla's place. She made sure everything was clean, comfortable, relaxing and convenient. Can't say enough how much i needed that and how much i appreciate it, too.

    Clara2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Priscilla was a wonderful host!!! She made sure that my stay at her house was completely comfortable. Definitely recommend the SuperSuite which has a wonderful view. Its a perfect room if you have plans to work during your stay. Priscilla has ensured that the work table has all that you need for work. Very well organised. Just note that T-Mobile cellular coverage was a bit low but the WiFi at Priscilla's home is awesome. So now worries there. Pretty close to BostonPost Road which has a huge number of restaurants for various cuisines. For sure will stay here again and recommend for others!!!!

  • This is my second stay with Priscilla, and the next time I need a stay in the area, I will definitely stay with her again. She is a very gracious host who not only has one of the cleanest and lovely places in which I've stayed, but she goes above and beyond, always working to anticipate her guest's needs. She is a great communicator and the place is exactly as represented.

  • The house is located in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. Everything is super clean, far exceed my expectation. It is much nicer than what is shown on the pictures. Bed is clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom is just step away from the room. BTW, the description probably is not accurate as everything is better than the description. You have stable fast WiFi internet. Prescilla offered breakfast, iron. We have a nice chat during the dinner time.

    Hua2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • I was Priscilla's first Airbnb stay. Although I was a little bit surprised to know that there are other tenants (may be, it should be mentioned) and to see a different room from the pictures I saw on Airbnb, it appears to be very accurate now, since this listing was updated. From the moment of booking, Priscilla kept in contact to schedule my check-in, graciously agreed to an earlier time, inquired about my breakfast preferences and provided very helpful suggestions on good places in the area. Priscilla gave a tour of the house, showed everything around, and was very welcoming, organized, considerate and communicative. The place has an open plan layout and a nice deck in the back. The room itself was spacious enough, cozy and tidy with all necessities provided. Even flowers. Overall, I had a very positive experience.

  • Priscilla is the epitome of a superhost. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome at her place. I stayed for roughly a month, and during that month I experienced some of the best sleep of my life. The entire house was clean, the rules were sensible and helped maintain the environment. I could go on and on about how relaxing my stay was, or how kindly I was treated, but there's plenty of reviews which will tell you the same. Simply put: You'll love your stay here.

    Oscar2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quick summary (details below): I loved my stay, and would recommend anyone travelling towards Connecticut visiting Derby, Waterbury or New Haven, to stay at Priscilla's for these reasons: - Excellent accommodation for the price (I checked other motels) - Proximity to places the places mentioned above - Indian food less than a mile away! - Great hosting by Priscilla herself Details: I stayed for two nights at Priscilla's beautiful house. This was my first Air BnB experience so I wasn't sure what to expect. Midway during 10-hour journey to her house she called me to ask if I wanted some coffee when I reached, what kind of coffee I preferred, and whether I would like something on the side. I was pleasantly surprised! But she maintained her role as a cordial hostess throughout the entire stay. She drove out to guide me to her house when I was about 1 mile away, had laid out clean towels, a soap, clean sheets on the bed. She had coffee! The room was very comfortable, had ample lighting and space, and a really neat writing desk. Same goes for the bathroom, which was supposed to be shared with a tenet in another room, but thankfully I had it all to myself. Priscilla gave me company when I took the initiative to speak and gave me privacy and space when I needed it. I appreciate that most about her. The rest of the house is very beautiful. The kitchen is very functional and the fridge is stocked. I had a great experience and would definitely recommend her to any of my friends travelling towards CT.

  • Priscilla welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home. She showed me around the house which is very clean, spacious and with lovely views from the windows. The room was as described and I had a super comfortable night. A quiet, lovely and safe place to be with an awesome and extra-ordinary host. Will love to stay there again.Excellent place.

  • My stay at Priscilla's was great!!! I was concerned about being in at private room at first but Priscilla took all those worries away by being one of the kindest persons I've ever met. I even got sick at my stay and she was always present to make me feel better; she even provided me with medications and thermometers, in other words, she cares about her visitors!! The house is great and it is like the best place to study because is so silent that you'll even be able to hear the wind outside. I highly recommend this listing and would definetely stay in here again on my next CT visit. Thanks for all the hospitality Priscilla!

  • Camden’s home was perfect for our family’s stay. The street is quiet and the home is well designed. While the cold and snow limited our opportunity to enjoy it, there is a great deck, yard and fire pit out back. Hot coffee, plenty of comforters, pillows and throws kept us comfy inside. Thank you for such a pleasant stay!

Contemporary cliff-hanger overlooking Far Mill River valley. Private entrance to ground floor apartment. Activities vary with season: hike, bike, pick-your-own and other farm activities, zip line, paint ball, mini golf, laser tag, skating, gaming etc. Seasonally-available pool, hot tub, BBQ, outdoor dining, hammock oasis, fire pit, bocce/horseshoes. Near LIS cruises, aquarium, children's attractions, museums, concerts, night life, great dining.
NOTE: If you are planning on bringing a child or two you must request a "special offer" for the payment to be correct. When you're not enjoying our outdoor amenities (see below,) relax on cushy leather furniture in your very own home theater with 65" HD Smart TV and sound bar. Full kitchen has new electric range, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and assorted small appliances. It is fully supplied for preparing full-course meals. The bedroom features a very comfy queen bed, and we have an equally as comfortable queen inflatable in case you bring the kids although most prefer the couches! (Note: 3rd and 4th person with permission only.) The bathroom has a shower only.
This is a prime piece of real estate the developer originally reserved for himself and a total surprise at the end of a very normal looking suburban double cul de sac. And yet we consider a drive of over 10 minutes to get anything - groceries, auto service, medical treatment, pet care, pizza, etc. a totally unacceptable inconvenience! We have a herd of deer, a rafter of turkeys including three huge toms in the spring, an abnormally large red fox, a pack of coyotes, a rarely-seen bobcat, and birds of every feather, including woodpeckers, owls and vultures.
  • Pat's place is wonderful. Has everything you need inside. Amazing pool, hot tub and view outside. Cool area too. Some fun things to do around including an awesome sports complex.

    Jeremy2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space and location. We celebrated a birthday and Pat was very helpful in planning our trip before we arrived. The house is amazing and the view is mouth watering. I would recommend this place to all of my friends. Oh and if your in the mood the horse shoe and bocce ball court is a must.

  • The house is absolutely beautiful and very nice if you are planning for a short trip:)! We drove from New York city and the location wasn't difficult to find! Very convenient that we ordered Planet pizza for dinner and we loved it! also we saw the best sunset ever and view from the pool is WOW! My dog Oliver loves here as well! Pat and Gabe are also a very great host they even provided us Ice cream sandwiches and S'mores at night! Love it and great experience ever! Thank you guys!

    Angela2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful and fully equipped, we loved the pool and could simply stay there for couple of days.

    Noam2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was fantastic. I came into town on business, and ended up really enjoying every evening. There was a hot tub made available, which was so lovely on a chilly, rainy night. The quarters were charming and comfortable, and spotless. Pat and Gabe were so welcoming, and their dog was very friendly for the duration of our brief meeting. Also, complimentary ice cream sandwiches, a killer view of the hills of Connecticut, and an expansive flat screen certainly quash the vibe of temporary/traveling digs.

    Abigail2016-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • I was here on business and the apartment made my stay much easier. The fully stocked kitchen and relaxing living area almost made it feel as if I was at home. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thanks!

    Michael2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in this cosy apartment. We were cheerful welcomed by Pat and Gabe, our hosts. They did everything to give us a warm feeling. At fridaynight they invited us to watch the opening of the Olympic Games in Rio, with tasteful pizza and drinks. We recommend this house to people who like a quiet surrounding and a beautiful swimming pool.

    Kees2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Pat and Gabe's basement apartment for 1 night. We wish we could have stayed longer. They were very accommodating considering the short notice (we booked night before we arrived). The views overlooking the forest are as beautiful as the pictures. The apartment was cozy, and had plenty of space. Gabe came by to show us around but after that they left us to enjoy the space on our own. Nearby, we visiting Beardsley Apple Farm, Jones Farm, and the Creamery, all nice local attractions. We also went hiking half an hour away in Meriden. Overall, we had a wonderful, albeit brief, stay.

  • Karen was a wonderful host: she was available, friendly, and very helpful. She recommended restaurants and places to visit around Milford during our stay. She was very personable and made us feel at home right away. The house is in a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood away from street noise. We rested well in the quiet and comfortable room and took a stroll around the neighborhood in the morning. Having a private full bath was a big plus! We'll definitely go back if she would have us!

  • Karen was a lovely, welcoming host - which I so appreciated the other evening, as I was exhausted. She was most attentive to my needs. The second evening we had a delightful conversation in her den. Thank you Karen. Karen's home, located in a lovely neighborhood, was just as described. My bed with its warm sheets were great. All this and easy access to the Parkway. Thank you for everything.

  • Karen is by far the best host I've ever stayed with through Air BnB. She supplied me with everything I needed and more! She made me feel at home throughout the entire stay and the room looked exactly the same as it did in the pictures. She has a great deal of knowledge about the area and helped me become familiar with the surrounding cities as well. She really goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable, which I greatly appreciated. I enjoyed getting to know Karen and definitely recommend anyone to stay with her. Don't think I'll ever come across hospitality like hers! Thank you Karen!!

  • Great space for a quick trip to the area. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived. Off street parking was very easy and it was a quick drive down the road to downtown New Haven. The neighborhood was quiet at night so this was a good place to get a great sleep. Mike was an excellent host and we appreciated his hospitality.

    Andrew2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Mike's basment apartment. He is a very sweet and helpful guy who was very accomodating. He even purchased a humidifier when I noted the increased humidity when I first moved in at the beginning of the summer.

  • Pros- Big kitchen, enough utensils/pots/dishes for cooking. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, very modern. Spacious shower. Host answered all of our questions and concerns very quickly. Apartment was very clean! Cons- You can hear children crying/making noise from the floor above at times.

  • An excellent experience with Mike--he was very communicative and flexible. The apartment is great--lots of room and very clean. If you're tall, some ducking is required to move from one section of the apartment into the other, but we didn't have any problems with that. An excellent bathroom.

The perfect getaway for solo adventurers, couples or the ideal artist's retreat. When was the last time you had the chance to experience an overnight in a yurt? Situated in a bucolic wooded lot in Woodbridge, CT, just 15 minutes from downtown New Haven, the Yurt is “glamping” at its best—not quite roughing it, but not quite luxury either.
All the comforts of home—a/c, heat, a classic Malm gas fireplace, WiFi, fridge, and an induction cooktop. A pullout queen sofa with foam topper comfortably sleeps two. An eco-friendly toilet is in the yurt for middle-of-the-night bladder relief, but most guests prefer walking the extra steps to the main house to access the comforts of the full bathroom with stall shower. Insulated and toasty in the winter, and cool as a cucumber in the summer, the yurt is a year-round retreat. Relax with a campfire around your own private stone fire pit or take a relaxing dip in the outdoor hot tub. Did we mention there’s also a saltwater kidney-shaped pool available in the summer months? All in all, it’s pretty darn cool.
Located about five miles northwest of downtown New Haven, Woodbridge is the rural-like bedroom-community of Yale surrounded by rolling green countryside and an extensive network of walking trails throughout town. Enjoy the museums and culture of a classic New England college town and the architecturally-rich Yale University campus, about a 15 minute car-ride away. New Haven boasts world-class entertainment and restaurants (including world-famous New Haven Pepe's and Sally's pizza). Visit the cosmopolitan hub and then return to your escape in the woods. Or just get away from it all and “yurt-it” for your stay. We are surrounded by beautiful trails to hike and places to bike. To plan your hiking trip, follow the link to local trails below. (URL HIDDEN) Woodbridge also boasts a local winery and nearby Bethany has plenty of places to saddle up a horse and enjoy horseback riding. Browse for the perfect book at a local favorite, the Whitlock Book Barn, set overlooking a picturesque pasture of grazing horses. Seymour, just minutes away, has some great antique markets and a Main Street reminiscent of old New England. After a busy day, take time to relax in our Hot Tub. In the summer, feel free to lounge by the pool. Yurt “glamping” site also includes a stone fire pit (and marshmallows, of course!). Let us know if yoga’s your thing and we can arrange for a private yoga lesson. Or how about treating yourself to a massage with a licensed massage therapist? For those with special dietary needs, we can arrange for glatt-kosher meal delivery, or point you in the direction of local halal, kosher and vegetarian restaurants and shopping. We’ve been hosting friends and family for years. A new empty nest is allowing us to focus the attention we’ve been showering on our loved ones on our new-found Airbnb friends. Come stay with us. We’d love to welcome you to our yurt hideaway.
  • A neat not-so-little spot tucked away in the woods, a reasonable drive from NYC. Richard and Shelly have created a unique space with great vibes and seem to genuinely enjoy sharing it with the guests they host. The yurt is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable day of lounging, working, or creating, with the convenience of a private full bathroom a few steps away. Delicious baked goods each morning with some little festive New Years Eve touches!

    Nawal2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is a fabulous, unique AirBnb space and well worth a visit. Shelly, Richard, and their family are all very nice, the property is quiet and woodsy, and the yurt is warm and cozy (there's a gas fireplace and various other heaters). The hot tub is fantastic, although you have to walk past the kitchen windows of the main house to get there (the hosts seem used to it). Main things to know in advance are these: (1) The (odorless) dry-toilet in the yurt is for liquid waste only, so you do have to walk down to the bathroom in the house to do other things, including showering. No big deal, but worth knowing. (2) There is a hot plate and a microwave, but you probably couldn't cook a serious meal there. (3) The bed is a full-size pull out sofa, though with a nicer mattress than your average sofabed. As long as you are okay with these things (which we totally were) you'll have a great time. If you have an instrument, bring it along -- live music sounds especially cool under the yurt roof (Richard uses it as a music space when the yurt isn't booked, and even leaves some drums and a guitar there for guests' use).

    Andrew2017-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Even before we arrived Shelley made an impression as an attentive host. She was quick to respond to our questions and sent us an email to stop by for a cocktail upon our arrival. When we arrived on a cold January Friday afternoon Shelley was there to greet us and give us a tour of the yurt. We instantly fell in love with the space. Richard's design of the living space made an immediate impression on us. It represented a break from routine and convention. The structure seemed to foster a sense of calm and promote connection. We were indoors yet somehow still felt very much part of nature. Camping but not quite. Amazing! The property was quiet, with the host's private home about 25 yards from the yurt. They had a separate bathroom and shower for us to use by entering through a separate entrance. Considering that we were sort of camping, yurting (?) the kitchen area was well-equipped and had everything we needed. A few inches of snow fell that night, icicles formed around the yurt's windows, but we cranked up the heat and stayed warm by the gas fireplace. We woke up the next morning to a private yoga class in the yurt (that Shelley helped arrange). They made us a homemade cake Saturday morning and we spent the afternoon in the hot tub surrounded by birds and falling snow. Exquisite! Although we had originally planned on getting into town or going for a hike, we were at the yurt for two days and didn't leave the property once. The space was warm and spectacular and so were the hosts. We had a wonderful and memorable experience.

    Eli2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • So glad we booked a trip at the Yurt! So cozy, spacious, clean, private. Such a good vibe in the space, just perfect. Hot tub was so relaxing, a curtained gazebo ensured privacy, our own full bathroom a very short walk from the Yurt, was very clean and fully stocked with towels and toiletries. Shelley and Rich are such sweet people and perfect hosts. They even left us a cute little baked morning snack for breakfast! Great experience!

    Tone2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic romantic getaway with lots of great little nooks and special touches to make you feel like it's a loved space. Anyone who does healing work or meditation will find it absolutely wonderful. The whole yard is great too, I would like to go back in the summer to see everything in bloom.

    D.2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for something truly special, this is it. Shelley and Richard are lovely, The Yurt is one of a kind, and I guarantee there's no experience like this anywhere else in CT.

    Olivia2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was amazing! Shelley made sure I was well taken care of when she was out of town! The most amazing experience!

    Caylie2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience on Airbnb and we loved it! We stayed in this lovely yurt on a very, very cold weekend. We brought lots of warm clothes in case we would be chilly inside, but didn't need them. As soon as we walked in the door, we were hit with a wall of warmth, and sat ourselves by the pretty fireplace. We slept comfortably, and were toasty warm the whole night. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds chirping, and the beautiful view of the trees outside the dome sky window. Shelley and Richard went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. I would highly recommend staying in their peaceful, and so cozy yurt!

Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment attached to main house with separate entrance, bathroom, living room. Set on magnificent 20 acre estate, perfect country get away, only 15 minutes to Yale and downtown New Haven.
Our guest apartment is attached to the main house with a separate entrance. The property is private, bucolic and quiet, yet easily accessible to New Haven, Yale, and great restaurants within minutes. It's the best of both worlds while visiting the area!
We are located in a beautiful sub-rural neighborhood of distinctive homes. It is private and quiet yet within minutes of New Haven, museums, great restaurants and the best pizza ever!
  • I really enjoyed staying at Nancy’s place in Woodbridge Connecticut. The location was fabulous and very close to my old high school where I took a nice walk. She left a very thoughtful fresh baked goodie plate for me, and every single inquiry I had she answered right away. The space was fantastic the bed comfortable and the whole experience fabulous.

  • Nancy and Steven are excellent hosts. We stayed at their place for our wedding and it was the perfect hideaway spot. When we arrived we were welcomed by freshly baked cake. After we returned from our ceremony and got ready for our reception, they insisted on taking some pictures for us on their gorgeous more than 20 acres property. It's just stunning. The place itself is exactly as described online: completely separate from the rest of the house, kitchen with exactly the things you need (microwave, kettle, Keurig and plenty of water bottles, snacks and tea), a spotless bathroom with a perfectly functioning shower and two bedrooms with both beds having mattresses that are just enough firm. To cut it short: Whether you want to just have a weekend away from the NY metro area, need a hideaway from an event you're having in the area or you visit Yale - this is it!

    Christoph2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We found Nancy's place as advertised. Perfect for our visit to New Haven for the Yale - Harvard football game. The place was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. She left us some delicious baked treats on the coffee table. There was a well stocked coffee station. Grounds were also amazing

  • The property is beautiful. We found the guest apartment to be private, spacious, and elegantly decorated. Every detail was carefully considered. Nancy is a very gracious host and made us feel most welcome. We highly recommend this special lodging and will definitely return.

  • My wife, parents, and I stayed here for a weekend to attend an event in New Haven. The location is really great! It seems like it's out in the middle of the wilderness when you're there, but then you're actually just a couple minutes from Amity, and an easy drive into New Haven. Really the best of both worlds- quiet/secluded, yet convenient. The property is really pretty. Very lush and green. The view from our rooms was beautiful. The space itself is lovely. Clean and tidy, yet homey. It's a good-sized space (bigger than some apartments we've lived in!), with a living room, kitchenette, and 2 bedrooms. The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and Keurig (with cups). The hosts left us plenty of snacks (pastries, hummus, water bottles, cream for coffee, tea bags). The beds were comfy, and the bathroom well-stocked with towels, shampoos, and slippers. Nancy the host was very friendly, helpful, and responsive. She greeted us when we arrived and then left us alone. Her two dogs are really cute! Also, there are chickens! The only down side is lack of wifi, but it was actually kind of nice to have an excuse to escape the internet for a weekend. Definitely recommend this place for a nice weekend get away, or home-base when visiting New Haven. It's way better (and cheaper!) than the mediocre, over-priced hotels in town. 5 stars.

    Elizabeth2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy was a wonderful host- welcoming but giving us privacy. The apartment was exactly as represented. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The area is lovely and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Best Airbnb ever! Wish I️ could have stayed longer. Really has the feel of a hotel, amazing! Great communication and friendly host. Every amenity as described.

  • Paul is a friendly host. The place is clean and nicely appointed. Makes for a very comfortable, pleasant experience. I have stayed there twice and would be happy to stay there again.

  • The space is newly refinished and very clean. The amazon prime TV is also a very nice touch. I would definitely stay again.

  • My husband and I were in need of a room to stay for the night while visiting a friend in New Haven. Paul, the caretaker of the house, was very communicative and helpful in coordinating our arrival. An FYI, the walls are a bit thin and we could hear the TV of the other guests. However, this did not bother us. Our room was spotless, set up with all the essentials, and instructions for our stay... perfect for what we needed for the night. If we stayed longer, we would have loved to use the other spaces - cozy living room and kitchen.

    Pallavi2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very peaceful evening at Jeff's house. I felt at home. The bedroom is immaculate and it has a really nice private bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. I will definitely come back.

    Gilles2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffery is the owner of the house, Paul is his son and he stays downstairs. Everything was so clean, and he was kind enough to have towels and water on our bed ready for us when we checked in! We were free to use the kitchen and other spaces during our stay. 10/10 would recommend, it is close by to a bunch of restaurants and shops.

    Sarika2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were visiting the area for the weekend, and Jeffrey’s place was absolutely perfect! Easy to get to New Haven, or jump on 95 and The Merritt Parkway to explore the rest of the state. Highly recommended!

My house is close to family-friendly activities, the city center & nightlife. You’ll love my house because of the comfy beds, the kitchen, the coziness, the living space, 20 x 20 fam rm and the views. House is good for solo & couple adventurers. There are hiking trails, tennis courts and track right down the block. Great restaurants are 5 min away. Four bedrooms but I only rent 2 bedrooms at most at any time unless you have a family. 2 GUESTS ARE FOR ONE ROOM OR 2X FEE IF BOOKING 2 ROOMS or more.
There is a basement with pool table and ping pong and poker. Plus luxurious living throughout. I haven't shown pictures of my bedroom suite or my marble bathroom since I don't rent those our. There is fourth bedroom which I also rent out only if the main queen size room is rented. The comforter is silk and the headboard is leather. There would have to be an important exception for me to rent this bedroom out.
There are trails for walking that are breathtaking. Tennis courts, bike trails, track are right down the block. There are great restaurants down the block, a golf course, a mall 10 min away, as well as movie theaters. By car, a little over an hour into Manhattan. There are many beaches along the coast, outlets, etc. CT is Beautiful.

  • I know someone who answers an ad to rent with Jeannine for almost five months. He said the house was so beautiful with a comfortable feeling. Jeannine gives you your space and yet if you need anything, she makes sure she gets it for you. So I booked a night when I needed to be in Selton area. It is like a hotel five stars.

    Moha2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine was absolutely amazing. I stayed with her during my internship all summer and it felt like I was living in a home away from home. I was welcomed into her pristine home with open arms, and I would definitely stay again!

  • Jeannine is a host with a warm and welcoming smile, lovely house with colorful walls and pics everywhere in her house, located in a lovely/peaceful neighborhood in the heart of nature! Me and my girlfriend spent the weekend at her place, had a great night sleep, woke up in the morning with birds singing -we were surrounded by trees every where. We both needed it, it was a time out from the city, only an hour ride on i95 from Queens! I'd highly recommend her place, you'll be amazed by the silence specially if you live in New York. She gave us a brief tour and was available at all times, but at the same time we had our privacy. We had a nice bedroom with a great view and a clean private bathroom. Hope you enjoy your stay there! • 1. The room and bathroom are on different floors. So it gets a bit awkward to walk through the living room and kitchen when the family is around. Also inconvenient. 2. The accommodation is a 15 minute DRIVE from Yale (about 5-6 km). So if you dont have a car be prepared to uber (USD 10+). Else the bus stop is down the street. Will take about an hour with the bus. But apart from that, i had a great time. Mike and his family are very friendly and helpful and its great value for money.

  • Everything was amazing. Mike and his family were great hosts to me and I enjoyed my stay with them very much.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with them and would heartily recommend it to others. Neighbourhood is very pleasant with easy access to amenities and bus links to downtown New Haven.

  • Mike and his family is kind and considerate. I highly recommend for professionals that are always on the go and not always lounging at home. For students perspective, it can be a bit noisy to concentrate and study due to kids but overall I am extremely satisfied with the value and location.

  • Very responsive host, very clean, and had welcome extras like tea and plenty of toilet paper and a hair dryer. The apartment is a little dated but very spacious, and with a gate we brought for the stairs it worked fine for our toddler. Close to restaurants in Westville and next to a playground, too.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here the night before my interview at Yale when we got stuck in a blizzard! Abigail was great! She was flexible while our plan was up in the air and fed us in the morning since we were snowed in. When it was time for us to leave she shoveled out the driveway so we could safely drive off. Also, her pupper Harper is the most adorable dog. Thanks again for everything!

    Angela2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and beautifully designed. Charles, Abby and Harper were so welcoming, I felt right at home the moment I walked through the door. I definitely recommend staying here, where single, or with 1-3 companions.

    Sami Jo2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Abigail and Charles' place is absolutely lovely. The pictures above are totally accurate. I felt bad as I was cutting it very close to a scheduled event and was only able meet with Charles briefly before heading out. Both he and Abigail are excellent communicators and even though I was rushed, checking in and out was incredibly smooth.

    Austen2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice room, great location, very nice bathroom, good value, but... in contrast to what's been indicated in the room description and the house rules, the dog does have free access to private guest rooms (since the bedroom doors don't latch, anyone, including the dog, can simply nudge them open). I found the dog curled up in my bed upon returning from the shower (probably a behavior cultivated from habit). I recognize not all people will have a problem with this, but it should be mentioned.

I'm sociable but also needed my own space. The apartment, (and that's what you're getting) is perfect. You have your own entrance. A great outdoor space with pool patio and serenity. She takes great measures to make sure you have everything you will need for your visit. Felt like home and family from the moment we met in the driveway. The yard in the spring and summer would be grand with all the flowers in bloom. We went for the colors of the fall. Just as grand. The parks were amazing to stroll and takel photos (nature photography or romantic walks are amazing here). Lots of hidden gems close by as well. Susan helped us to understand the train to get to the Big Apple. It is gem if you get to Oxford and it is available.

  • I stayed at Paula's house for temporary housing while my permanent apartment was being completed and could not have asked for a better stay. Her house was in a great location for me, close to walking/hiking/running trails, and a 30-45 minute drive to my office. The room was clean, with TV/cable, a mini refrigerator, and a microwave in the room, plus a private bathroom. This was Paula's first time hosting an Air BnB guest and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. I'd absolutely recommend Paula's place!
