“Peel Farm is a great place to go to spend a couple of hours. They have a great coffee shop, serving lunches and local fare. The Courtyard Home and Gift barn sells, jewellery, clothing, antique and eclectic furniture, fresh farm produce, books, cards, and wooden child's toys amongst many other things. They also have a great collection of boutique gin for sale. There is a great farm trail walk past a red deer park and down to a view point of a lovely waterfall on the River Isla. There's a duck pond and they sell delicious ice-cream. ”

“This family-run grocery store, situated in David Street in nearby Brechin, stocks a wide variety of delicious speciality cheeses, cold meats, delicacies, wines and also gins and whiskies. With friendly over-the-counter service, you can try one or two samples before you buy. Highly recommended! ”

“A fishmonger and purveyor of arguably one of the east coast of Scotland's finest products, the Arbroath Smokie. Melt in the mouth-tasty and as fresh as can be, the world-famous 'Smokie' made just 'up the road' in the Angus town, is a must eat (and can be bought vacumn-packed to take home) for any visitor.”
