  • Booking with Vicki was very easy and quick. The studio was spacious, quiet, and had all the things you need. views from the windows were beautiful. Vicki was very nice, greeted us as we came in and gave us lots of privacy. The location was great for visiting the white mountains without the crowds.

  • This studio was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Viki greeted us with orange juice, milk, and snacks and was very hospitable. The apartment was really clean and spacious, and the house had a beautiful creek/waterfall running through the back yard. Would definitely recommend.

  • Thank you for the great experience. I recommend it to anyone. I asked Viki if I could ship some Internet purchased items to her address, prior to my arrival and it was done with no issues. The fridge was packed for a healthy breakfast and superb coffee. Good not be better. Thank you again Viki, we will be back next year for the Ironman again. ;)

  • My boyfriend and I went to Laconia for the pumpkin festival so we only needed a nice, quiet place for a night. Getting there was easy enough with Viki's directions in the posting. Viki was extremely responsive with text messages and on arrival, greeted us warmly. She even provided food so that we could make breakfast in the morning! The studio itself is beautiful and charming. It's HUGE and has a view of the NH foliage through a very large window that is the centerpiece of the studio. There is a powerful heater in the studio so it'll keep you warm if you visit in the colder months. The bed is large and comfy (two twins pushed together). There is no TV, but if you're going to NH for a quiet nature getaway, it shouldn't even be an issue. Given Viki's background in Tai Chi, the room has a quaint eastern aesthetic to it. This is a great place for couples or even sole travelers who want a solitary, minimalist excursion.

  • This was the second time I rented Viki's studio for a photo session. She met me first thing, and went out of her way to help me set everything up.

    Maundy2015-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Viki is the best host I've ever met. She was so kind to us, and even put food in the fridge, so we get a breakfast next day.

    Aida2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a fabulous time at Viki's place! She was gone on a retreat when we were there, but she was incredibly welcoming from afar. She left us coffee, juice, milk, eggs, fruit, and everything we'd need! The space itself is gorgeous and perfect for a quiet weekend in New Hampshire. Just make sure you listen to the directions Viki gives you and don't rely on GPS or you will get lost.

    Liz2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great night here! Clean, warm and in a wonderful spot.

  • How much more fun than a bed and breakfast! Patti made us feel right at home, and we had an awesome visit hearing about Breakwind adventures, checking out the farm, soaking in the hot tub, resting soundly overnight and sharing coffee in the morning.

  • Patti and her Husband were both very warm and welcoming. Plenty of fun to chat with a bit and very helpful and accommodating.

  • Patti and Rick were great. They even let us check in early after a long red-eye. The house felt like home; I LOVE the wall paper, and AC in the room was a welcomed surprise. Thanks!

    Teresa2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Patti and Rick are very kind and welcoming. Their house is an amazing 200+ year farm house and they have a very interesting story. They were so generous and even sent us home with their delicious baked beans and some home grown veggies.

    Nora2012-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Hard to beat 59 awesome reviews, but here I go. Patti & Rick as you probably have read are AWESOME hosts. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and charming stay. I had the opportunity to try NH's best mountains (all info and guidance by Patti) and still come back home to a hot and steamy hot tub. You can't beat that, can you? The only thing I can say to you is. YOU MUST COME HERE to try it yourself. Good friends, good food, good times! Thanks Patti & Rick for everything and hope to see you soon.

  • We loved to stay at Marc and Karin! They're very pleasant and heart warming. We can't wait to go back. Alex & Tammy

  • Karin and Marc greeted us upon arrival, and they were very warm and friendly! The house is in a beautiful setting only about a mile away from the lake/town where there are nice restaurants and shops. Scenery is gorgeous! The room is very nicely done, and provided all we needed. Love the patio off the room! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area, and we look forward to another stay!!

    Kim2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay! Clean, comfortable and private. Fresh flowers in the room with a welcome note and box of chocolates! Karin and Marc are excellent hosts- They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

    Jen2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marc and Karin provide a clean, comfortable place to stay when traveling to Lake Winnipesaukee. Karin greeted us at check in. Our room had all the amenities. It was a very short drive to local restaurants and to the lake, itself. A special treat was our enjoying coffee on the patio right outside our room and listening to various birds! Very peaceful. We highly recommend this room and its wonderful hosts!

    Teresa2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Air BNB venture, and we may never be able to go back to motels after this! They were lovely hosts, have a nice house and a beautiful yard where we sat and enjoyed the view with our beer every evening to unwind . It was so nice to have real sheets and towels as opposed to the usual motel offerings. And the Kellerhaus chocolates they left out for us were a very nice touch! The cost was probably a third of what we would have had to pay for a motel or hotel in the area during bike week and it was far better than anything we have stayed in in the past up in that area. Nice quiet woodsy area but a very short ride to stores by the lake. A little disappointed that we ever saw the bears in the yard, but maybe next time...

    Chris2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my husband had the most wonderful stay with Karin and Marc. We had just gotten married and were travelling as part of our honeymoon. Karin and Marc were so kind and greeted us with chocolate, balloons and champaign. So thoughful! They were very helpful in helping us with directions and where to go for good food and entertainment. The place was so cozy!! I would recommend this place to anyone and as a matter of fact if we ever plan to head back to Meredith we will be contacting them again !

  • Marc and Karin's place was awesome! Not only was the space perfect, clean, cozy, comfortable, but also in a great location! It was actually our first time using AirBnB and we couldn't have asked for a better first place! Highly recommend staying at Marc and Karin's!!

Spacious 2nd floor apartment with private entrance, 1 bedroom, full kitchen, living room and screened in porch in quiet, safe neighborhood, 3 blocks from downtown shops and restaurants, and one block to Lake Winnisquam.
We live in a quiet neighborhood on the corner of a dead end street. Please be respectful of neighbor's space and privacy.
  • We loved staying at Anne's house in Laconia! Beautiful and peaceful location, central to everything. Apartment was spotless and so comfortable and Anne made us feel right at home. Looking forward to staying with her again sometime!

    Kristin2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our apartment was very sweet, bright and comfortable and on a lovely quiet street only steps away from the lake. Anne met us on arrival (with a jar of homemade strawberry jam!!) and shown us around the property. Both her and Christine were very sweet and there to answer any question, oh and there were muffins at our door in the morning, amazing! Only wish that they were free for more then 4 nights. We'll be back :)

    Marija & Jeremy2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication before arrival. Pleasant welcome by Anne. Indeed very close by the lake, where we sat and relaxed for a while. Own comfortable appartement with porch, sitting room and large kitchen area. Beautiful sleeping room with good beds.

    Hans2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a wonderful host and a wonderful home. We were beyond thrilled with our accommidations. This home is beautiful - well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The sun room is truly magical. (The washing machine and dryer were a huge bonus!) Anne was the most gracious of a host - so kind and helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay exceptional. There were treats in the refrigerator and home baked goods were thoughtful and delicous. Very grateful for the opportunity to stay in this amazing home and to meet Anne. Hoping our paths will cross again!

  • Staying at Christine and Ann's house in Laconia was a surprising adventure! From kayaking in the immense lake at the end of the street, to sleeping in the magical "Fairy tree house" at night, and being received by a warm smile and freshly baked banana bread upon arrival! The fridge was stocked up with breakfast basics, half and half, orange juice, english muffins, more than anyone would expect in a rental home, also of course, coffee, tea, salt, sugar, splenda, shampoo, conditioner, basically anything you need to get comfortable right away grab a snack and be on your way to adventuring! the house is spotless clean! Very homey, super comfortable. Apart from the main bedroom where my parents sIept, I (the twentysomething daughter) slept in the porch "or magical fairy tree house" there is a great pull out couch with brand new sheets and awesome comforter, at night you can see the stars and trees before you close your eyes, it is a merger between camping, home stay, and hotel, what else can you ask for! The kayaks are in a cool shed in the back yard, and we carried them out to the lake, which was a fun workout! Although Ann bought some wheels you can use now to just drag them out down the street if you would rather not carry them. It's easy to slide into the water and back inland so do not hesitate! There is wifi, tv, anything you need, and the shower has great pressure which is something I care about a lot after rolling around in the sand or lake all day. It was a lovely 3 day vacation, it was great meeting Ann, she is super nice and always willing to help and make sure your stay is as wonderful as possible! I would drive back for the banana bread! And to chill in that porch tree house, but in all seriousness, I am sure we will return at some point, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, 3 blocks from the center of town, and seeing the lake every time you turn into the street is just wonderful! Thank you for everything, will most definitely recommend to friends!

    Patricia2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful neighborhood full of turn- of-the-century New England homes. We enjoyed walks down to Lake Winnisquam, 2 blocks away, to view sunsets, plus conveniently located within walking distance of downtown and restaurants. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Anne and shown around the house and apt. Anne and Christine are friendly and great hostesses who know how to make you feel welcome. We loved the quaint and cute apt. with its own separate entrance. Fully equipped with everything you need, including coffee, cream, english muffins, and orange juice. It was fun to wake up and find an occasional surprise outside our door (homemake blueberry muffins, homemade strawberry jelly). I highly recommend this place for a quiet, relaxing retreat. The hosts will become your friends.

  • Our two night stay at Barb and Av's house was wonderful. The accommodations were perfect- clean, comfortable, and charming! Barb and Av did everything they could to make us feel welcome. We didn't feel like guests, we felt like family. We highly recommend staying with them. We hope to return soon! Paul and Mary

  • Absolutely lovely place and hosts! While we were only there for a brief stop over for a friend's wedding, we could not have been more pleased with the accommodations Barb and Av provided. The room was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. I only wish we had more time to stay!

    Mark2015-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Barb and Av were wonderful and so was the room! Very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

  • Five stars is not enough to describe how wonderful and comfortable our stay was in this beautiful home. The owner Barbara, is warm, entertaining and generous. She made us feel like part of her family and we cherished our morning breakfasts together. This is truly an ideal location nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet is a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants and waterfront docks. We loved our time there and would not think of staying anywhere else on our next visit...Barbara and her home are true New England treasures. Thank you...The Ferguson's

    Don2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Barbara's place was so perfect for my boyfriend and I. We were in town for a wedding and her place was walking distance to the venue as well as all the local restaurants and shops. She had breakfast and coffee for us, too! The stay was perfect, comfortable and I'd absolutely stay again!

    Lauren2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • You will be welcomed into an great home, with a gracious host. Downtown is within walking distance, but you might not want to leave the peaceful surroundings of your room, as you relax outside on the patio or covered porch or linger over a great home cooked breakfast with Barbara. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended this place to friends.

    Garnet2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay! I really enjoyed the private bathroom and delicious breakfast in the morning. Barbara and her husband are welcoming and engaging people whom I really enjoyed having the chance to get to know.

    Nathan2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at at least a dozen Airbnb's, almost all of which have been very pleasant stays, but none can compare to the delightful time we had at Barb's. We were made not only to feel right at home, but to feel like family. Her house is charming, Our bedroom room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The piece de resistance is the Jacuzzi for two. The homemade breakfast that Barb prepared for us could not have been more hearty and delicious, complimented the wonderful and stimulating conversations we had with her. We came up to Kayak without much knowledge of the locale. Barb, a 40 year resident of the area, and an experienced kayaker herself, was invaluable in guiding us to the best places to do our paddling. We feel very lucky to have found this charming Airbnb with such a gracious hostess, and would recommend it highly to anyone.

  • After peaking my interest with the picture/description, affordable cost, initial contact and quick response from Tish, it made our decision to try Air B & B! The process was easy, the results were accurate and our overall experience was excellent! Tish is a lovely hostess and her home is a perfect hub to enjoy all that you look forward to in/around Plymouth New Hampshire!

    Elizabeth2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tish is a terrific host! The guest room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. We were free to use other parts of her home, and she has a deck that looks out upon the beautiful New Hampshire countryside. Tish is friendly and made us feel welcome. We would certainly stay there again if we return to the area, and are happy to recommend her to others.

  • Tish was a great host! Very warm and welcoming and wonderful to talk to! I learned a lot about the area from her! The space was beautiful, very neat and excellently designed! In room at night you could see the stars from the roof window... If Tish taught classes on interior house design, I would attend! I felt very welcome and comfortable, and my mom who came with me loved it too! Tish is the best!!

Newly remodeled B & B room ("The Temperance Tavern" in 1790's). This is a bed and bath so no breakfast will be served. Hotel quality queen bed and linens, along with a separate entrance, and plenty of parking. Country setting with walking trails one-mile from Shaker Village and 15 minutes from Concord, NH. Easy access to I-93. Located near a nice breakfast place. It is an hour+ drive to hiking in the White Mountains, Beaches in Maine, and the art and culture of Boston, MA.
If you enjoy old homes with character and charm, this is the place for you. Was formerly known as "The Temperance Tavern" in 1790's". This is the place the stage coach came in and brought travelers and the mail. Town people came to hear the world news, meals were shared and rooms rented. Goods were bought and sold here. It was a pretty lively place. Today, we live here year round, enjoy our horses and neighbors. We have two rooms we share with fellow travelers. it is a great place to visit, and enjoy seeing many areas of New Hampshire.
Canterbury is an old New Hampshire town. It is like stepping back in time. Visit the town square, and Country Store in Canterbury Village 3 miles away, or spend a day at Shaker Village. Lots of interesting things to learn. Take a tour of the place, or attend a workshop. People looking for old tavern experience, and country atmosphere love it here.
  • The best airbnb experience we've had! Everything was super clean, decorated with a lot of taste, extremely peaceful and quite. Carol also provided snacks, coffee and tea for the morning and was so kind to recommend us a very popular (for the locals) breakfast place. Just go there!

Old home is beautifully kept and my room with a view of lovely barn and changing leaves is almost out of a painting. All the modern amenities in a home with huge character. Most important of all, comfortable bed with nice pillows. Carol thank you for your hospitality.

Bill Copperthwaite yurt located on traditional farm with cows, horses and sheep grazing in the fields around it. Windows all the way around with a beautiful view of the fields and woods. Close enough to Concord yet remote setting. Easy access and lots of room. We have had events and classes in the yurt and now wish to share it with travelers and more. We have 1 full size futon bed, 1 twin futon bed, 2 twin roll up futons and 2 floor mats. No shower, sorry. A camping delight for the whole family!
The yurt is tucked up and away from everything in the corner of a field. A private getaway with a beautiful veiw of the farm land, woods and sky. 150 acres of fields and forests. There is no running water in the yurt but we keep water available for drinking and hand washing. The toilet is a composting toilet, it is located inside. There is some electricity from a solar panel but not reliable until we get more. One solar light by the main bed downstairs. No fridge or shower. Please bring your own bedding and pillows. We have sheets and light blankets but minimal sleeping arrangements at the moment. We have 2 twin size roll-up futons that can be put together for another large bed or used separately. Alot of room for yoga or dancing if so inclined, inside the yurt or outside. Well marked trails to walk through the woods. Also available for events. We have hosted weddings, political talks, workshops and concerts at the yurt. We reserve the right to charge differently for events. Please look us up online.
This is a living farm...not a hotel. Do not expect your typical hotel atmosphere or host/hostess. We are a farm 1st and host 2nd. There are bugs(including ticks) and dirt roads with woods and fields. Please protect yourself accordingly. We welcome guests as friends and equals.
  • The yurt at Owen farm was absolutely beautiful! Allison was extremely kind and gave us a tour of the farm. We will be back again!

  • Great place to stay close to Concord. Quiet and secluded but only about 20 minutes from the city. Budget friendly accommodation, especially for larger groups. Minimal accommodations, but that's made pretty clear up front. Bring your own sleeping bag and air mattress, and be aware that there's no shower or bath, but what you trade in with amenities you get back in a cool and memorable experience. Very friendly hosts.

    Matt2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice yurt! Its even more impressive in person! Alison was also very helpful, responding to all questions quickly. Thanks again for hosting us!

    Joseph2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurt at Owen Farm is exactly what we all need to experience in our lifetime: Being off the "grid" and reflect what is important in our lives...family, friends, serenity, peace ad tranquility. Alison is a love. The Owen family are lovely people. Great staff! We didn't want to leave!

    Susan2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • It's our second time staying here. Great place, absolutely picturesque and such a cool building. I'll be back again.

    Daniel2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Low-clearance cars might have trouble on the bumpy lane to get to the yurt. Totally awesome views and structure, for those who are looking for a rustic retreat.

    Jeri2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Yurt at Owen Farm was nothing short of amazing. It was exactly the unplugged and rustic get away we were looking for! We brought our weber grill with us and ended up cooking 99% of our meals outside on the grill, although, the stove does work and we used it to make coffee. The building is so beautifully constructed down to the hinges of the doors. This air b n b was truly a 10/10.

Welcome to my private In-Law apartment centrally located in a quiet neighborhood in Laconia (Lakeport) across the street from Lake Opechee. We offer you a private entrance with off street parking. One bed room and full bathroom upstairs. Kitchen living room washing machine and dryer are down stairs. Walk to the WOW trail, or a nice 10 minute drive to Gunstock Ski area, Loudon Race track, Laconia Air Port, Weirs Beach and much much more.
My house was built in 1860! The apartment used to be the maids quarters so the stairs to get to the bathroom and bedroom are kinda steep. The bedroom is small and cozy with a queen size bed. Oak walls and floors. Full size stove, washing machine and dryer.
We are within walking distance to some great restaurants; O Steak & Seafood, Fratello's and CJ Avery's. Private beach at the end of our road. After summer is over you can drive down the windy road to the secluded beach and watch the sun set.

A lovely clean & cozy private room in a family home on a quiet residential street, steps from PSU, nestled between mountains and lakes in New Hampshire.
Stay tonight! We still have many October dates open. Booking: Please send a personal note to confirm you have read our full description here, including 'Other Things to Note', and to let us know a bit about you. This will greatly help expedite the booking process, as we do not do instant book. Do note this is not an ensuite (apartment) or whole-house rental: this is a family home with a private guest room. Unless you specify otherwise, a reservation for 2 people will be for ONE room. Whether you cruise, climb, hike, ride, tube, skate, or just play, we can provide you with a comfy place to spend your downtime. Or if business brings you to town, our room has a large desk, wifi, and ample workspace. We are at the doorstep of the White Mountain National Forest and adjacent to the northern Lakes Region, with easy access via road or interstate. For reference, we are 25 minutes / 25 miles south of Franconia Notch State Park, but much closer to some awesome off-the-beaten path treasures, such as: Rock & Ice Climbing: 10-15 minutes' drive to Rumney Rocks, and 30 minutes' drive to both Kinsman Notch or Cannon Cliff. Our house is a a traditional American Foursquare, built in 1930, with many original details. Airy and bright, it is a family home, with one guest bedroom available for guests at this time. The guest room comfortably accommodates a couple/2 adults, possibly with the addition of a child. Our overflow room (aka our study) may be available for additional guests, upon request, for an additional small fee. Sheets, blankets, towels, and basic toiletries are provided. We offer complimentary wifi, and you will have access to the living room, parlour, porch, and kitchen. In our home we have a peculiarly large library, so if you fancy a good read, we can help with that, too.
Plymouth, NH is a beautiful small New England town just south of the confluence of the Baker and Pemigewassett Rivers. Sitting between the northern NH Lakes Region and the White Mountains, we are convenient to all kinds of outdoor activity, year-round. Ours is a quiet, tree-lined prewar residential street, close to Plymouth State University and Main Street downtown.
  • Greats hosts! Rebecca was out of town for most of our stay but John and Xander were wonderful! We enjoyed our stay very much, especially the front porch to enjoy breakfast and coffee :) neighbourhood was very quiet and the kitchen was fully stocked! They were very accommodating to letting us have the second room even though we were only 2 and they even leave toiletries for guest to us! Would definitely stay with them again if in the area!

    Brittany2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca and John were welcoming and accommodating. Their location is very conveniently located - walking distance from restaurants and a cute little town and only a 15-minute drive to Rumney Crag.

    Tara2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a good time staying at Rebecca's home - she was very communicative ahead of time, giving us plenty of information to streamline our arrival, and her house was so cozy and welcoming. Both she and her husband John made themselves available for any questions we had while staying there, and we enjoyed chatting with them about outdoors activities in the area (they are avid hikers, and we were there to go rock climbing!). We would absolutely stay there again the next time we head up to Rumney and would highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area.

    Catherine2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca and John's home was just what I needed. Due to my pet allergies it was great to find a centrally located room in a clean home that was pet free. I hope to come back!

  • Rebecca and John are very welcoming, warm and friendly hosts. They made our stay so pleasant and enjoyable. Their house is clean, comfortable and so quiet, and it has everything listed in the description. And it is conveniently located near the White Mountains and Squam Lake. As we stayed with Rebecca and John to attend a wedding held nearby, we didn’t get enough time to explore the mountains, trails, lakes and rivers in the surrounding areas, about which Rebecca and John gave us so many tips. Our experience there made my fondness for New England grow. Thank you, Rebecca and John.

The view to the lake from the living room was nice. Paula recommendations for restaurants were awesome! I would highly recommend it. One of the best places I've stayed so far.

  • I stayed at Paula's place with my boyfriend for the weekend and it was cozy, comfortable, and extremely relaxing! The house has beautiful natural lighting, and the backyard was was a perfect outdoor space to relax in the sun. Laconia was a cute town with plenty of food options and stores. My boyfriend is on crutches so we were unable to crutch into town, but I would assume it would be a really nice walk. Overall, we had a much needed, relaxing weekend at Paula's Place and I absolutely recommend this stay for anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful and comfortable space! Thank you!!

Enjoy spectacular lakefront views in this charming and well-appointed cabin, located right on Lake Winnisquam. You're renting the master bedroom & bathroom, but are also welcome to the patios and the lake.
Enjoy spectacular lakefront views in this charming and well-appointed log cabin, located right on Lake Winnisquam. Bask in the morning sunshine over the lake from the dining room, deck, or patio. The two-level stone patio offers a grill, a fire pit, and a dining table for all your outdoor needs. Take a dip in the lake, or enjoy a journey on the canoe. When you're done for the day, retreat for the evening in your own private bedroom and on-suite bath.
The cabin is right on Lake Winnisquam, particularly on the northern end of the lake. It's off a dirt road and in a quiet area - great for getting away from the noise. There are lines of trees separating the cabin from each of the neighboring properties, and the across the street is an undeveloped marsh. There's very little nearby car traffic. While there are occasional boats on the lake, it too is generally quiet. The Lakes Region area has many great seasonal activities, from Ice Fishing Weekend to the Festival of Trees. Feel free to contact me for a calendar of events in the area.
  • Linda is wonderful host. My Husband and I stayed at her house for only one night, but our short time there was a very pleasurable experience. Linda is very hospital and does everything to make your time there enjoyable. Her house was beautiful, well kept, clean and with a terrific view of the lake Winnisquam. I am very grateful to Linda for providing an affordable and comfortable place for us to stay.

  • Our one-night stay at Linda's lake house was perfect. We made use of the canoe and the outside grill, the bed was very comfortable and the room and ensuite were beautiful and very well appointed. Linda also provided some delicious muffins for breakfast! I would absolutely recommend staying here, and regret only being able to stay which a short time.

  • I arrived late, as I had problems with a tire stem. Linda was very cordial, and accommodating. Her accommodations are exactly as pictured, and more. She greeted me with a T, homemade muffins, and coffee cake. In the morning there were fresh bananas and more of those beautiful my funds. The scenery, and the fall foliage are absolutely beautiful. The lake and the smell of fireplace really takes you back. I had chocolate truffles on my pillow, all the amenities provided soap, shampoo etc. I would stay there again and again. Try George's restaurant in Meriden on Plymouth Street. Wonderful homemade food, thank you Linda for a great stay. No one could be unhappy staying here.

  • Linda had a wonderful slice of heaven right on the water. Was everything and more that I could have asked for! She and Leslie even took time to take me on a fun leaf- filled forest hike! Great stay all around! I will definitely come back next year!

  • We had a great time at Linda's cabin! The house is nice, the bed is very comfortable, and the view is fantastic. Linda baked morning glory muffins for us and had nespresso coffee and many teas to choose from. She was friendly and accommodating. The house is directly on the lake and we were able to use Linda's canoe to explore the lake. We recommend staying here!

  • Nathan's house is easily accessible and beautifully decorated. We had communicated before hand about us being at a Meadowbrook concert that night, but I still feel like he went out of his way to accommodate our late arrival and make us feel welcome. Even though we didn't partake, we loved that there were some snacks and drinks available via mini-fridge right in the room should we have wanted any! Everything was as or better then we expected it to be.

  • Clean and big room and kitchen, the host was nice. Refrigirator in the room and snacks:)

  • Staying at Nathan's was the very first Airbnb experience for my wife and I and we absolutely loved it. Nathan kept us in contact before we arrived, had very clear directions, and the room we stayed in was perfect. We arrived in the evening and immediately felt at home. His two kitty cats and dog were amazingly friendly, a refrigerator was provided in our room, as well as snacks, water, and ginger ale. Nathan even provided coffee for both mornings. For our local trips to Laconia and Meredith, it was a perfect spot for where we needed to go. If you're in the area for skiing, hiking, concerts, kayaking, or just whatever, please make sure you go to Nathan's. It was incredible.

  • Carol and her husband were both so warm and hospitable, I couldn't help but feel at home. I booked the room on the same day of arrival and Carol responded immediately and sent directions. The character of the room in an 1790's home was unique and cozy, and the decor was tastefully put together, adding the charm. The place had a special atmosphere and was so relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and small touches contributed a welcoming feeling, such as magazines, books, toiletries and a view of the barn and horses. The stay was a one night stopover en route, but I enjoyed it so much I stayed again one night on the way home. Would love to return and see more of the beautiful area.

  • Our stay at Carol's was great! The house and location are gorgeous and Carol has done a great job of maintaining the home's authenticity. Great location if you're planning a day at the speedway and there's a nice local breakfast spot only a few minutes down the road. We would definitely stay again!

  • Nice and spacious room, air conditioning, comfy bed, and wifi. Suited the majority of our needs for me and my boyfriend's one night stop-over on our weekend road-trip. (The bathroom pictured is nice and stocked with emergency essentials, but as an FIY, it's not private - it's shared with other bnb guests.) It was a bit farther from any other conveniences than initially described, and (depending on your service provider - like T-mobile) bad cell phone reception, but overall okay!

A fully appointed, detached, separate 600 square foot apartment on our working Black Angus Cattle farm. Nearby activities are many - skiing (alpine and Nordic), snowshoeing, hiking, golfing, touring, award winning brew pub and more. Or just stay on the farm and enjoy all it has to offer.
This is a "NH Farm of Distinction". It is a place of peace, reflection and rejuvenation.
  • First of all, we're going back to this place *as soon as we can*! Everything about it was exactly what we needed prior to the beginning of a new semester: a real, rural escape from the urban (cr)ush. This kind of open landscape, beautiful gardens and fields, quiet, lovely animals (the chickens run around all over the place, it's wonderful!), and super friendly hosts - not to mention EXCELLENT food - has given us both a renewed energy. From the moment we arrived, we felt more than welcome and sensed the peace of the place. The house was warm, comfortable, very clean and organized, and equipped with everything we needed (I like to cook, so appreciated the super well-equipped kitchen!). Ed and Cindy were incredibly friendly, gracious with their time and considerate of our needs. Ed taught me a whole lot about my passion for local food from the perspective of an active cattle farmer. Ed took us to see the dairy cows in the main property pasture and then the heiffers moving from one pasture to the next; I even got a lick from one of them! The animals are loved and respected and cared for in a way that made me feel at ease about trying the beef right from their own livestock. Delicious and healthy for us and the planet.. DEFINITELY GET THE DINNER!

The only regret we had was not getting a chance to explore the 180 acre farm due to a rain storm that came through the area. Plenty to do around the area in terms of hiking, golfing or dining out. Ed was great and I can only hope our future Airbnb's will live up to our first experience.

  • We were only in town for one evening but throughly enjoyed our stay. Cindy greeted us warmly. The farm is beautiful with a lovely view. The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated too!

  • This place is unique and seluded. If privacy is desired and you want classy accomadations, this is it. Cindy and Ed were wonderful hosts .

  • Great place. Spectacular spot. Beautiful view, very spacious and comfortable accommodations, well equipped and tasteful furnishings. Friendly flock of livestock and gracious hosts. I highly recommend this place. The only thing I suggest is to double check the directions with the hosts, since my GPS got me lost initially.

    Martine2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful farm! The apartment was clean, comfortable and had anything you would need for a few nights stay!! We will be staying again!

    Kaitlyn2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space overlooking Mt Kearsarge. Ed and Cindy are amazing hosts and extremely kind and helpful. Their farm was our heaven! The space was clean, tidy and perfectly appointed for cooking and just "hanging out". We enjoyed sitting outside, playing frisbee on the lawn and chilling with the chickens! All in all the best stay we could have asked for.

Great Opportunity to enjoy peace and quiet in a private waterfront cottage-fireplace on your own sandy beach. The shallow to deep water is perfect for both young and old alike. There are 5 Kayaks and aluminum row boat for your enjoyment.
If you are looking to truly get away, this is the place. Here is where you connect with family & friends in the open living, kitchen & dining areas. Swim or relax fire side on your own private beach.
Peace & quiet, yet only 20 mins to all of what Concord, NH has to offer, as well as the Mt. Sunapee area recreation. You will pass a buffalo farm, horse farms as well as picturesque mountain vistas on your 5 mile ride to the cottage from the quaint village of Warner.
  • Audrey was in contact with us every step of the way, and always did her best to make our stay a pleasant experience. The town is nearby, although we never ventured out for supplies, and the woods in the surrounding area were gorgeous. Perhaps most importantly, the beds are all very comfortable.

    Lydia2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Five miles of country road from picture perfect Warner, NH, bring you to Audrey's cottage. Really a 'hardened' camp with central heat as well as a wood stove, lots of knotty pine on the walls, modern windows with pleasant views, and a great little private beach. It also has lots of homey touches like lift latches on the interior doors, flashlights that work, lots of dishes and kitchen supplies. There was plenty of room for my wife and I and our five adult children to stay comfortably. And it was a great spot for our newly minted college graduate to host several classmates and their families to celebrate the occasion.

  • Audrey's place was exactly what we were looking for, roomy, private, right on the lake and perfect for the large group we had. The price was great and we couldn't have been happier.

    Mat2014-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey's cottage on Tucker Pond was perfect for my large group! Besides a quick round of golf, we made the most of the time we had with the private beach and boat/kayaks that were available to us. This was my first venture with airbnb, and I couldn't think of a better first impression than visiting Audrey's spot in Warner NH. Also, Audrey's communication via email, airbnb messaging and text messaging was second to none. She answered all questions, no matter how trivial they were, fully and efficiently. I will definitely be back!

    Jason2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey's cottage was perfect for a weekend away with friends to go skiing -only 30 minutes away from Mt. Sunapee and a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

    Katie2015-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! The cabin was cozy yet spacious for five of us, and we're already talking about coming back in the summer when we can enjoy the pond.

    Genevieve2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time here and wish we were able to stay longer. The pond was beautiful and the cabin is on a very nice lot. The kayaks were great! The cabin had plenty of space to accommodate our group. The was a grill with plenty of propane. I think this cabin would be a great choice for a group, family, or a couple families looking for a lakeside cabin. We hope to stay again!

  • We absolutely loved this place! It was the perfect size and location for my 20 month old and I to visit family and travel around the white mountains. Not only was the unit adorably decorated and well stocked with extra goodies, ( teas, snacks and a guide to the local attractions) but it was immaculately clean and comfortable. Kim was prompt in her communications, very friendly and informative. She clearly cares about the property and how her visitors feel during their stay. Her attention to detail really made the stay enjoyable! Not only would I recommend this place to any one looking to visit PSU, the white mountains, or just the beautiful town of Plymouth itself... I won't be staying anywhere else during our return. Thank you Kim!

    Alicia2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a pleasant stay at Kim and Tom's place. It was easy to find, super clean and cozy! It was exactly as described. The kitchen had a good stock of all the basics you need to cook a good meal. The 'Welcome' book has everything you need to know and what's around. We walked two blocks to the town center to get groceries at Biederman's Deli and Pub. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in town. Thank you for a fantastic stay :-)

    Shirley2017-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little condo for to stay at while my girlfriend and I were visiting Plymouth. Would highly recommend if you just need a place to sleep and wind down.

    Keenan2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place was just what I needed for my five week stay in Plymouth over the summer. It's clean, quiet, and well suited for one or two people. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is very nice, clean and equipped. Kim was a particularly great host--very communicative, responsive, and went out of her way to make sure I had what I needed. She even brought in some extra furniture I requested at no expense, which was unexpected and super helpful. The apartment is in a large house that was converted into several separate units. The other tenants in the house were all very nice, normal, helpful, quiet and responsible. There is plenty of off street parking, and the trash dumpster is close by outside. There is a hospital across the street, and the main drag of Plymouth is a 5-10 minute walk down Highland where there are lots of restaurants, shops, post office, etc. Plymouth State University is an easy walk as well. The kitchen had most everything I needed. There is no dishwasher, but there is a dish rack and sponges/dish soap, etc. Plenty of dishes and silverware, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There were even a few stock items in the pantry. Appliances include a microwave, nice coffeemaker, and blender. Lots of storage space in the bedroom with some built in shelves and a closet for hanging clothes, suitcases, etc. Kim is very helpful, easy to talk with, and an experienced landlord. I felt very safe in the area, and the apartment exceeded my expectations in most every way. It was a great summer pad. I highly recommend it!

    Shawn2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's place is just as pictured and described, and so much more. She has thought of every detail - from caring and clear communication, to amenities throughout the apartment (such as the stocked kitchen and bath). I will definitely look to stay again when in the area!

    Laura2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and Kim made us feel comfortable and at home. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to downtown Plymouth. Kim provided us a list of local food spots and was quick to respond to any questions we had. A great stay overall! We would book again. A wonderful host :)!

    Kristina2016-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cozy apartment was the perfect little place to stay, we never met Kim but she left clear instructions for us. The space was very comfortable, just as described but made even better by the beautiful fresh flowers and attention to detail like the basket of snacks in the kitchen and sundry items in the bathroom. The apartment was in a quaint old house but tastefully updated in like new condition. It was immaculately clean with comfy linens and super cushy towels. Great access to downtown Plymouth, we will definitely be back!

This magical property is about seclusion, nature and getting away from it all. You'll have 15+peaceful private acres of property nestled along the Lane River which flows into our private half acre pond and then flows back out to the river. In the Spring/Summer and fall lay in the hammocks along the river. The property was the original site of the "Jones Grist Mill," dating back to 1761. The Mill was a building block of future life in Sutton, New Hampshire. Take long walks on the property or hike the adjoining 72 acres of conservation land owned by the town of Sutton. If you are a star gazer, lay on the deck at night and there is not an ounce of light, you can see everything the night sky wants to offer. Sleeping accommodations are as follows: Top level Queen bed with en suite bathroom. Top Level loft with two twin beds. Main level Queen Bed Main level large Queen bedroom with additional couch) Sleeping sofa). The House: Nearly 2500 square feet on 3 levels. Our house is a mix of old cabin and and new additions. There is lots of charm and quirkiness. A wood burning stove accents the dining room, as well as a gas stove in the main floor living room, plus one more gas stove in the downstairs bar/sitting area. The kitchen has all the essentials you need. Large fridge, Brand new Electric Flat top Oven, Brand new fridge and dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, 2 French presses, coffee grinder and all the kitchen basics. During the summers you can sit and soak in the Lane river or take a dip in our pond( No diving). There is a BBQ grill for use on the deck. The driveway has plenty of room for boat and trailer parking if you wish to take it Lake Sunapee a short drive away. Fall leaf peeping is at it's best here in NH during late September into October/November depending on the weather and this property is stunning to walk. Winter adventure is all around as we are very close to skiing at Mt. Sunapee Resort, Ragged Mountain, and Eastman Cross Country Center. 4 Wheel drive and or All wheel drive are highly recommended. The house is located 1 mile off the main road and is a very compact dirt road. The road is town maintained for snow plowing and sanding and we have a private company that plows and sands our driveway. The information below is to help all guest inquiries and those who book to ensure an amazing trip. We pride ourselves on great communication and unlike others we like being up front about all things so there are no surprises. Our goal is for you to have an amazing trip. We are unable to handle weddings at the house/property, so No wedding and or large event inquiries ( We are on a septic system like most homes in the country and can not handle large groups unfortunately ). No children under 8 ( Please inquire first and we can discuss). Due to things like an open spiral staircase that little ones can slip through and small underground caverns on the land with running water and also a strong outflow pipe that feeds water from the pond back to the river, we ask that all guests with little ones inquire first so we can discuss and please be upfront. Please note there are stairs as the home is on 3 levels and can be difficult for elderly guests. Cell service is bad in the area but we have string WIFI. You can enable WIFI calling on your phones to help. We are located on a packed well kept dirt road. This is the country and there will be things like lady bugs, flies, wasp and occasionally a bat that make it inside the home and definitly outside :) This is normal for the country and large secluded property. We dont want guests to be surprised by nature and be upset :)
Sutton, NH is a quaint New Hampshire town circa 1761 with easy access to fantastic restaurants and area attractions in Warner, New London and other surrounding towns are just minutes away. Lake Sunapee for boating/fishing and skiing at either Mount Sunapee or Ragged Mountain is close.
  • A magical home and property convenient to Colby-Sawyer College and the interstates. The Tartan Rabbit House is a meticulously maintained log house with all modern amenities and details that reveal the loving care taken by the owners. The 18-acre grounds are park-like with professional landscaping that includes a pond fed by the nearby stream. This place is a treasure and can easily be a vacation destination itself.

    Luther 2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Tartan Rabbit House was a dream. The home is picturesque and incredibly comfortable, with every detail taken into consideration. The grounds are expansive with hidden hammocks, strolling paths and a banquet of fall colors. It was the perfect private retreat for a few days with family. Dominick was very thorough and thoughtful in communication. We hope to come back to stay again sometime!

    Norma Hilary2016-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Tartan Rabbit House exceeded my expectations for my first time using Airbnb. Dominick had helpful directions and explanations before we got to the house, as well as called to walk us through the house once we arrived. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we could have needed which made our plan of cooking meals at the house much easier. Dominick worked with us to adjust a check out time when plans changed and was accessible via phone/text the entire stary. We all completely enjoyed the weekend and would highly recommend the place to anyone! Thanks so much Dominick and Jenah!!

    Clare2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Phenomenal home and property with picturesque views! A great getaway for country living. Dominick was an excellent host and the house had everything we could have wanted. Would absolutely stay again!

    William2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We visited the Tartan Rabbit House with my family from FL for our first ski experience. The house is conveniently located near a great ski resort but remote enough to have an amazing mountain cabin experience. We loved the house and every detail about it, we felt at home and enjoyed a great winter weekend. Dominick went above and beyond to make sure we had all the necessary for our stay. The only thing that you should take into account is the strict check out time 10AM. We felt that we had to rush our departure.

    Johanna2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a last minute request to stay at the Tartan Rabbit and as usual the host was more then accommodating and very helpful in the process. We can't tell you how much we love this property. On this visit I absolutely loved watching "Figs" the otter diving in one end of the icee pond and out the other with a fish in her mouth. So often visiting The Tartan Rabbit is surreal. It's tranquil inviting environment surrounded by nature's beauty, calms you in such a meaningful way. I have brought my children here recently to enjoy the snow since we live in South Florida and they have not ever seen snow. What a fantastic experience this was. Originally from New England it was wonderful to be able to stay here and take my boys to Near By MT Sunapee resort for snow tubing and skiing. We made memories that will last a life time. I am looking forward to returning this summer and enjoying all that Lake Sunapee has to offer as well. The Tartan Rabbit is truly becoming a home away from home. Thanks again Dominick and Jenah for your generous hospitality:) We love the Tartan Rabbit

    Rachel2017-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is magical! The sound of the river that runs the back of the property and the smell of the fresh air made our stay exactly what we were looking for. Dominick was great and in-touch via text, letting us know the little quirks to the house. (light switches, area tips, ect.) My husband and I stayed 3 nights with my 3 year old and 17 month old, Dominick did mention the safety concern of a spiral staircase that is the middle of the house but luckily the cooler we brought fit perfectly as a gate and set our mind at ease so our littles could roam freely. He does have a gate that we used on another larger staircase that goes to basement. We were surprised at how toasty the gas burning stove got the house and we did make 2 fires in the wood burning one in the dining room. We stayed in the larger, newly finished room with the baby in a pack and play and our son stayed in the other bedroom on the main level. I would've loved to stay in the room on the second floor as it has more of a cabin feel, but our baby had a fever so we wanted to be close to her and bringing her bed up was not an option. We brought a lot of our own food and the house is stocked with everything you'll need. I think the only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the stove. Its super charming and but very outdated. Took me a bit to understand how she works (burnt the cinnamon rolls!) but I got the hang of it by the time we left. The furniture and decor is very nice, not "rental feeling" at all. Our phone provider is AT&T so Dominick put us on his M-cell booster and the wifi worked perfectly there. There is no TV which I LOVED, but with the kids I was happy that I brought a portable DVD player that entertained them periodically. The real beauty of this place is the property, we hiked, played soccer, looked for frogs in the pond and had so much fun just watching our son get excited about the "waterfalls" the river had. After reading the welcome book they provided we ventured out to the antique store (amazing! sad i had no room in the car and shipping was $$$) and the next day we took a drive to see the Cornish-Windsor Bridge (warning, it's about an hour drive) but our kids didn't sleep well the previous night so as soon as we got going they passed out and the pictures I took of the bridge came out beautiful, so it was worth the drive. Overall, this house/property is very special and we plan on returning, I loved it so much, I texted Dominick and asked him how much he wanted for it! ;) sadly his wife said "NO WAY". hahaha

    Ashley2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • This property is absolutely amazing! The property is more beautiful than the pictures show. Everything you could need was available for our use. Relaxing environment. The owner had left every bit of information for our travels in the area. Owner was also available for any questions. We had an amazing trip and recommend this property completely. We will be returning again every year (maybe more than once a year)!❤️

We do not allow cooking on the stove or in the oven. Microwave is fine. Close by restaurants & grocery.
You will have air conditioning as a back up but open windows are more efficient. Nights cool down nicely here. There is an extra fan, You won't have TV shows, but you do have a DVD player. There are a few movies on the desk next to the entertainment center, but you may want to bring a few of your own. There are a couple of bottles of drinking water in the refrigerator, feel free to purchase your own favorite water.
This neighborhood is highly sought after for relaxation and beautiful natural settings. Walk a short distance to the lake where you can enjoy the water in a shady, grassy association beach or go 3 miles up Rte. 25 to Leavitt Park Beach with large sunny sandy beaches.
  • We were visiting Lake Winnipesaukee for my husband's birthday, and Karin had a balloon, chocolates, glasses, drinks, and a nice card waiting when we checked in! Definitely within walking distance to Mills Falls marketplace which has so many great shops & dining, & great scenery! Thanks for making our weekend so special!!

  • I loved so many many things about staying at Alexis's! It was so clean and fresh feeling. I felt so at home and you can totally feel love all over the place. The beautiful books, the fresh flowers, the gorgeous bathroom. The bed was the most comfortable ever! I just loved it. Even her sweet sweet dog, Otis, politely sniffed us and that was that. Everything felt so friendly.

  • I reviewed Alex' place after my first visit, so I'll just note the things that gave us particular pleasure on this visit. 1. The chaise longue. If ever there were a perfect reading (and lounging) location, this is it. I want one. 2. The shower. If you have experienced many New Hampshire B&B or Inn showers, you may find this one noteworthy. The water is hot, there is good pressure, and one doesn't need to slouch to fit one's head under the shower head. 3. You might as well ask Alex to provide breakfast. If you don't, the aroma of baking bread will waft upstairs and you will torture yourself with regret. 4. Alex remembered we had asked for milk on our last visit and a pitcher was waiting for us. We'll be back!

  • The Southworth's offer a wonderful space in a little corner of heaven for those who want a relaxed, comfortable place to stay in central NH. It was perfect in so many ways -- the location, ambiance, amenities. But especially the hosts. They are warm, welcoming folks who easily make you feel like you've been old friends for years. Go, book the room, stay a night or so. You'll see what I mean.

  • What a perfect place to stay - comfortable, quiet, clean and private and Alexis is the perfect hostess. She made us feel totally at home and was accommodating in every way. Thank you Alexis.

Where political history marries art...3 short blocks to the downtown and in the shadow of the pillars of the community from politics to faith to education to justice (think Isabella Stewart Gardner museum meets old-school boarding house)
This home is a breathtakingly beautiful Queen Anne Victorian built in 1890. (The house and Arnie were recently featured on the international design site, apartment therapy /June 2017) It is in walking distance to downtown Concord's restaurants, bars, museums and theaters. The House has convenient free street parking and during snow conditions, off street parking is available. The 5,000 square foot home has hosted Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Bob Dole and Al Gore. It is detailed with stained glass windows, oak floors, beautiful fireplaces, chandeliers, and it is steeped in bi-partisan political history. From the front porch you can see the Federal Court House and the golden dome of the State House. Think suite not bedroom but airbnb does not have such an option. The private bedroom is located on the first floor. It is a large elegant room that in its previous life was the majestic formal living room separated with oak pocket doors. It has a double bed, desk, night stands, large closet, comfortable chairs, a jotul gas stove set into the magnificent fireplace and a small refrigerator fully equipped with breakfast provisions. The room has a TV with a full premium cable package and the entire house is wi-fi connected. The first floor boasts a private elegant modern bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower a few steps from the bedroom...the enormous kitchen with views of the garden is equipped with counter eating, kitchen table and chairs and the most comfortable over size rocker on the planet ( the kitchen is nearly exclusive to all guests as host has her own kitchen on separate floor). In the late spring and summer, the gardens in the back and the wrap around porch are fabulous for wine and cheese or breakfast coffee. The carriage house has just been converted into a charming entertainment space, available for a fee for small gatherings of 20-30 during the late spring thru early fall (or for overnight guests, it is available as an enclosed space just off the gardens for a light repast). Please Note: If you are traveling with a third person, a first floor room, the library-study, is equipped with a murphy bed (my daughters claim it is the most comfortable sleeping bed in the house), may be available. I can arrange for the third person to use the study at a cost of $60/night. The room has a small dresser, desk, comfortable chair, piano and hat rack. Just to add to the interest in the space...a recent article posted at Only in your state, noted interesting airbnb rentals in NH...the Majority Leader's House made the cut. These 12 Little-Known Getaways In New Hampshire Are Truly Like Nowhere Else You’ve Ever Stayed Thanks to the wonders of AirBnB, we have more options for places to stay than ever before. • Arnie's home is absolutely gorgeous! The room is very comfortable, and the private bath is amazing with a walk-in shower and jetted tub. Everything was clean and tidy, and Arnie graciously provided snacks and a simple breakfast. She was friendly and offered suggestions for great places to eat and things to do in the area. The location is great- you can walk to downtown from her place, and Concord is only about an hour to Boston or Portsmouth. We will definitely be returning to stay with Arnie again!

    Kevin2014-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great Airbnb experience. Spacious, private, clean, historic. Arnie(the host) is incredibly welcoming, helpful, and a delight to talk to. If I stay in Concord again, this will be the first place I check for availability.

    Roger2015-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • As always, The Majority Leader's House was a wonderful place to stay in Concord. We are so lucky to have found this place for our regular visits to New Hampshire. The house is beautiful and Arne is a welcoming and gracious host. My first choice of a place to stay in Concord, New Hampshire.

    Jeanette2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a rare and wonderful find...from the beautiful aesthetic to the warm hospitality, the fascinating history, and convenient location to anywhere you might need to go in the area. Then there is the huge, lovely bedroom and bath, all the thoughtful amenities--and coffee ready to go when you are! Arnie is an extraordinary host. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Concord and truly look forward to my next visit (I just fear word will get out and she'll always be booked!).

    Laura2015-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic! Classy place, clean, beautiful rooms, totally as advertised. Short walk to downtown with many restaurant choices, and an easy trip to Portsmouth for some sight seeing. Arnie is a super host. I strongly recommend this place.

    Barbara2014-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • I was so happy to find this beautiful house, and even happier to meet Arnie. She made me feel like a welcome and honored guest from the moment she opened the door. She showed me a level of hospitality and care that I haven't seen with some of my other AirBnB stays. Her home is stunningly beautiful, with so many creative touches, and history in every inch -- I wish I could live there! Arnie herself was warm, welcoming, a great conversationalist, and simply fascinating. I wish I had had more time there! I'm already looking forward to my next stay!

    Katy2014-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • The room was great. It was large, with seating, and it had a big bed. Arnie was a fantastic hostess. There was a basket of towels for use in the huge new bathroom, which had a big tub and a luxurious shower. There was a bowl of fruit waiting for me, which added a very nice touch. The location is very close to UNH Law and downtown Concord, but still very quiet and peaceful. I look forward to staying there again.

  • Clean, comfortable, close to everything. My wife and I came up for a concert and Emily's place is very convenient to Meadowbrook. We plan on staying with her again when we attend other concerts this summer. Her communication was excellent.

  • Emily was great.

    Mohammed2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Emily's home is cozy, immaculate, in a fantastic location and in a word, wonderful! From the welcoming front porch to the comfort of every thoughful amenity you will feel at home immediately. As a host Emily exceeded every one of our expectations, going above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Emily knows the area well and takes pride in her home and what she does, people like Emily make air bnb a great way to go. We were in the area to see a concert at Meadowbrook/Bank of NH Pavillion and this is a perfect location for concert goers who don't want to drive home after a late night. In summary, a excellent experience with a wonderful host we hope to return again.

There are paddocks, fields, woods and a pond that can be used for leisure activities. Please note that apart from coffee and tea there are no kitchen facilities.
There are grassy paths that lead off Davis Rd and go around the paddocks and the pond and into into the fields below. That space is 10+ acres. • James was a great host, and his property was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time exploring the area, and stopping in at GRANITE LIFE NH Candies, Gifts and T's across the street.

  • James place was perfect. He was very generous and his property was gorgeous. Very clean and comfortable stay. Thank you!

  • James and Tara's private suite is perfect if you're looking to get away to the central lakes regions of New Hampshire. The setting is very relaxing and quiet. You'll see Swift their Australian Shep and a few hens roaming the 34 acres of lawns and woods. James is also laying out trails through the woods for you to walk to the nearby lake. There is a living room space with a tv and couches downstairs, bedroom and bath on the second floor, and two separate sleeping areas (basically 2 separate rooms) up stairs with views of the lake. They have recently turned the inside of their barn into a one of a kind bar and gathering space. It is a truly authentic setting and James is a stellar host.

    Kristine2017-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • James and his wife were quite hospitable. They are dog friendly and let my dog play in the Fenves in yard with their dogs. The property is picturesque, overlooking the lake. The rooms were beautifully furnished, all detailed tended to. I look forward to booking with James again.

    Madison2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this spot at the last minute in lieu of a hotel while in town for the NH Marathon. James was quick to respond to our inquiry. We requested a late check out so we could clean up post race. While he couldn't give us that because another guest was checking in, he offered a great alternative. He made every bit of the process easy. The apartment was spacious, cozy, and well-equipped. We wish we could have enjoyed a bit more time there, but we are grateful to James for making the stay so pleasant.

    Jill2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • James is an amazing person. The House is big, private and clean. The beds are very comfortable. We were 6 people and we all enjoyed our stay. The House has view of a lake. It is truly a vacation house. Definitely recommended.

    Ninad2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • James is really nice person, he showed us my interesting things about his house and introduced us to his friendly dogs. Has told us the details about the neighborhood. We really had fun there! We100% recommend to stay at his place!

  • We visited Patti on our way to Maine. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. Patti was very easy to talk to and it was fun learning about the bean farm, how her husband came up with the name, and how long they've lived at the farm. We were greeted by Patti. In our room, she he had two bottles of water, tissues, granola bars, and soaps for our use. We got to meet other interesting travellers from around the country and from another country, too. We had some time to explore a little outdoors. Their home is close to an old trail trail, easy access, and a scenic trail. They live about a quarter mile away from a covered bridge. Thanks Patti for allowing us to stay!

    S2014-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts Rick (and Patti) were great. They have had many guests and they really know what they are doing. The farm was nice and peaceful place and there was great places to swim nearby. I definitely would stay in Breakwind farm again. Great place.

    Jan2014-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing stay at Patti and Rick's house. It was easy to come and go as we pleased and a nice area to explore. They were busy and in and out so we did not feel intrusive. Fun weekend away!

    Katelyn2014-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at the Breakwind Farm. Patti and Rick were kind and accommodating. My husband is allergic to cats, but Patti made sure that the room where we stayed was free from pet hair and that we had an air filter. Also, we brought out 12-month baby with us. The room was quiet, safe, and large enough for her to toddle around. We really liked the area, too. The house is located in a beautiful part of New Hampshire with great hiking and swimming opportunities. My husband and I actually saw a bear on one of our drives. At the same time, Concord, which has a lot of great restaurants and some nice museums, is very close by. Thanks for a great stay! Erica, David, and Isla

  • My friend and I were in NH to do some bike riding on the quiet (very hilly) dirt roads. Patti and Rick were gracious hosts. The house is on a nice quiet road about 10 miles from Concord. They were helpful hosts and suggested good spots nearby for biking, dining and other general activities. They were very friendly and provided a great lodging experience. Two thumbs up!

Welcome to Mascoma Lake! We are situated right on Mascoma Lake - just step onto the beautiful deck and enjoy breakfast with a view! The perfect location for relaxation but close to amenities as well. We are just 15 min. from Dartmouth College (9mi.) - Hanover, NH (quaint town) and just 9 mi. from West Lebanon, NH (Big Box shopping). We are just a short 20 minute drive to Quechee Gorge and are only 45 minutes from Killington, VT. Just grab a bag, your favorite book and head for the lake!
You will have access to the downstairs bedroom. (You will have access to that 1 bedroom - the other bedrooms are private.) It has a brand new queen mattress and custom storage unit. The bedroom is on the same floor as the kitchen, dining room and bathroom. You can walk out, on the same level to the deck, for a breathtaking view!
The Town of Enfield, NH was chartered in 1761, Enfield is located in the heart of the Upper Valley. Early on in our history Enfield developed into an agricultural community. The settlement of a Shaker community on Mascoma Lake ushered in a new era for Enfield. As the Shakers expanded their settlement they encouraged the railroad to pass through our community. Like many New England areas, we too benefited from our fast moving waters, in this case the Mascoma River, to assist in the expansion of local industry. Enfield enjoyed a vibrant mill industry for many decades, finally coming to a close in the 1970s. We are now a thriving 21st century community offering a wide variety of cultural and recreational activities for our residents and visitors. Our residents and visitors can enjoy any number of outdoor year round all-season recreational opportunities. We have over 3000 acres of conserved land and over 15 miles of shoreland waiting to be explored. Enfield also has vibrant arts community, including a professional theater, summer musical camps and several museums. As mentioned earlier - we are very close to Hanover, NH --- Woodstock, VT--- Quechee, VT
  • Staying at the Lake House was even better than described. Melissa was super flexible about our checking in -- and when we got there, had left a snack in the fridge for us. Binoculars, telescope, ping pong table, outdoor jacuzzi, outdoor shower -- and we haven't even gotten to the lake and canoe and paddle board and deck and outdoor tables yet. I had a gorgeous swim in the lake, and loved visiting with the loons. I can not recommend Melissa's place highly enough -- and I will definitely be back.

    Jenny2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Melissa & Bills place was fabulous! They were great hosts. Even though we didn't take advantage of it they offered to take us for a ride on a really nice boat. They went above and beyond when Melissa made us breakfast which we did not expect. Kitchen had new cabinets with granite counter tops and gorgeous wood floors and the decking on the front of the house was also new. Bed was very comfortable. Rail trail is nearby if you like to ride bikes. We biked 10 miles on Sunday afternoon. I recommend anyone stay here if they have the chance. You will not regret it. They actually could have charged us more $$ per night and I would have gladly paid it.

    Donald2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place in a superb location, right on the lake, within a mile to the Northern Rail Trail access, and within 20 minutes to Lebanon/Hanover/Dartmouth. Melissa was gracious and helpful, and did us a solid favor by allowing us to make some last-minute changes to our itinerary due to an emergency. The place is sparkling clean and beautifully renovated, well-appointed, and simply charming. We hope to stay again!

    Pat2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa & Bill's lovely home was just what my husband and I needed restore ourselves and reconnect with nature. I spent hours by the windows (it was very chilly weather when I was there - perfect for jacuzzi star gazing!) taking in the beauty of the lake whilst reading and writing. The bedroom was cozy and well laid out with a super comfy bed. I was able to get a great bike rental nearby in Lebanon and hopped on the rail trail close to their house for a gorgeous ride. Melissa has a great guest guide which I read twice lol! She also offered several suggestions that worked out well for dining and activities. She is a wonderful hostess - available anytime I needed but gave me lots of space so it felt like a private rental even though they were there. Bill kindly offered me a ride on his awesome boat too. I am already planning my next visit and I highly recommend staying here if you enjoy being immersed in nature while only 20 minutes from many great towns and activities (including Dartmouth, Lake Sunapee, White River Junction, VT, etc).

  • What a gem!! I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates or wants to experience the "Lake Life". This was truly home away from home. From the cheese and fruit plate on arrival coupled with pleasant conversation to the comfortable and cozy bedroom, we could not have expected more. Highly recommend taking Melissa and Bill up on the boat ride offer, we had a terrific time. Afterwards, they humbly provided us privacy in such a natural and comfortable way. They were great hosts. We hope to see them (stay here) again.

    Joe2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely lovely! Melissa gave us such a warm reception. The setting is fantastic and photos cannot do it justice. The bed was very comfortable. The lake was only a few steps away and we enjoyed our swim. We also loved the hot tub on the deck! This is a great spot for a getaway or for travellers. It is only a couple of minutes off the interstate, but you quickly forget that the interstate is close. We will be back!

Our house is close to Mount Sunapee and Lake Sunapee. You’ll love it here because of its privacy in the beautiful woods of New Hampshire. Lots of hiking trails nearby, snow mobiling, horseback riding, skiing, boating, local festivals, star gazing, fresh air, great water. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

  • The house is very cozy. Situated in a beautiful area, very quiet with gorgeous views. We came for Columbus Day weekend and the drive in and out of the house had the foliage in its full glory. Annie and Katherine were both very nice and accommodating. When we had a problem they did their very best to try and help. We will be happy to come again

  • Annie was a great host with awesome communication. The house was perfect for a weekend escape. Everything was very clean, amenities were great, and the fireplace gave us an extra special experience. I highly recommend getting away from the city with loved ones at winding brook!

  • Lovely, serene, private home in a secluded wooded area convenient to Sunapee. Annie was helpful and replied quickly to our questions. I agree with other reviewers about bringing bottled water but otherwise it was just about ideal for us! Will definitely for this place again next time we're coming to this area.

  • We had a nice time -Annie was very responsive and offered to have someone come by if we needed anything. The house is nice and secluded in the woods so you can have a lot of privacy. It is a big open house and all the rooms were set up with towels and ready to go for us.

    Erica2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was wonderful! Just a quick drive to the mountain. Perfect for a quiet winter getaway.

    Stacey2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had 5 guests and were looking for a place last minute since a different place we had reserved was not going to work out. Annie was very responsive and helpful. We had a relaxing stay at her cozy home -- we cooked all the meals at the house and enjoyed going on walks nearby. The beds were comfortable, the living room was a great place for us all to lounge and play cards or read, and we enjoyed watching for birds through the many windows. The one tip I would suggest is to bring your own bottled water for drinking, since the tap water tastes metallic. Otherwise, the house has everything a group of friends or family, or even just a couple would need for a relaxing New Hampshire getaway! Thanks so much, Annie!

You have to stay here. The nicest people I've met sharing one of the most beautiful homes I've seen. Everything was wonderful and I'll be staying there again. Thank you to two truly beautiful people!!
