Vacation Rentals in Andes

Just booked in Andes

The Blue Jay Thipi is located on our property one mile out of Bovina, NY. Set in what guests describe as a magical valley with rolling hills, a stream and small pond. Thipi booking includes a wood burning stove and outhouse, outdoor shower (turned off during winter) and use of our Snorkeltub (UPON REQUEST, 24-48 hour advance request please. $60 additional fee (summer months) $75 (winter months)- not billed through Airbnb, details upon arrival).
UPDATE: October 27th, 2017 Our third tipi, the Koaheche- will be available for bookings within 10 days, located on a second property a little over a mile down the road on what we are calling the Seedorf Property. Listing coming soon, if you are attempting to book a stay with us but the dates are already booked, fear not the Koaheche will be live very soon! Send a message and reach out :) Mystic Lodge is a continuously evolving boutique hotel experience. Currently two Thipis available for enjoyment, third and fourth on the way! We have had many guests express how great it would be if we had a second thipi, so that they could return with friends and share this special place with them. In fact, that had been our dream all along- to slowly build our dream and vision of a boutique hotel, eventually with multiple thipis, a grand common area, a spa, etc. That dream is still a little in the distance though we are happy to announce that our second thipi- The Mothership, is now live! If you would like to come with friends we recommend you have them book The Mothership for the same dates ABOUT BLUE JAY TIPI Our 16 ft. diameter Thipi (Blue Jay) is set up for comfort, contemplation, tranquility and relaxation. There is a wood burning stove in the thipi and firewood is provided with all rentals. Also a queen sized bed with linens, pillows and wonderful wool blankets from Argyle Farms, made by our friends in the neighboring town of Andes, NY. Additional Tipi amenities include: towels, drinking water, candles, headlamp, matches and lighter, mexico blankets for picnics, a picnic basket with cutlery plates, etc. Our hand built outhouse is available as the primary bathroom for guests, as well as an outdoor shower (with Hot water), though the shower is turned off in below freezing temperatures. Also each Thipi has an outdoor fire ring for bonfires, roasting marshmallows, cooking upon, etc. If you are looking for a magical, romantic, relaxing and slightly rustic experience the thipi is for you! It is amazing to watch the stars dance upon the night sky through the opened smoke flaps. The design of the tipi as a living structure is ancient, yet surprisingly modern and even futuristic, the shape and environment promote peace, tranquility and contemplation. The Snorkel tub is a wood fired cedar hot tub available for guest use- upon request for an additional fee, which is not billed through Airbnb. We ask for a 24-48 hour advance notice as the tub takes about 6-10 hours to get up to full temperature, depending on air temperature and time of year and must be drained and cleaned regularly. The firebox in the tub requires wood to be added to the fire every half hour until optimal temperature is reached. Again we require 24-48 hour notice if you would like us to prepare the hot tub for you, which you can use as many times as you like during your stay. PRICING- WINTER Hot Tub fee $75/ Spring, Summer, Fall $60). As we now have two thipis for rent, should both thipis be rented we prefer to manage the usage for guests (for example; Janey in Bluejay gets the Tub Friday night and Jeannie gets it Saturday night). We do it this way because we give everyone a fresh, clean tub. Should two separate guests try to reserve it for the same night- the first to reserve it wins.
  • We came here for our mini-moon, right after we were married and I couldn't imagine a more magical place to process and just be. Chris and Lisa are lovely and kind. Also- spring for the hottub, it is well worth it.

  • Chris and Lisa could not have been more helpful. From fast responses to dishing out dinner recommendations, they were such a pleasure to write with and arrange this weekend. The thipi is a sight to see and a one-of-a-kind experience. A few things of note that might help future travelers: - it can get chilly, but the fireplace truly warms the tent and the mattress will you give you an exceptional night's sleep. - as the fire dies down, the tent can get quite smoky. Open the door to let out excess smoke and be prepared to give your items a good cleaning when you return home to get out the scent. - DO NOT leave the lighter on the fireplace once its lit. - the bathroom is a rustic outhouse - that means no showering and no flushing.

    Roni2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The thipi, the tub, the spectacular natural space and the hospitality all make this a special getaway. So much to enjoy-picking apples, playing in the creek and the pond, the campfire, the cozy bed, relaxing in the snorkel tub, and the starry night top the list. When it was time to leave, we loved exploring the neighboring towns, as well. Chris and Lisa embraced our family kindly and we can't wait to return.

    Alyssa2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Lisa were incredible hosts; they attended to our needs and were both friendly and also offered us privacy.

    Andrea2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking to escape, breathe in nature, listen to all the sounds quiet can bring, this is the place. We've traveled plenty, done the gamut from camping to spa retreats but this experience defines heaven. Magical, it is. Chris & Lisa have started something so special and they are perfect hosts. We will be back and wish we never left!

    Beth2017-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what can I say? Well, first of all, Chris and Lisa are two of the kindest, calmest, most genuine humans I've met in a long time. Just speaking with them had a calming effect. I would come back just to hang out with them! Their communication was excellent and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a good trip. We don't have the luxury of a car so they were kind enough to pick us up from the bus stop in a nearby town and drop us off on the day of our departure. The tipi was such a unique experience! They set everything up so nicely for us prior to arrival and the inside was cozy and nicely furnished. They walked us through how to care for the fire, how and when to use the tub (which was amazing), and made themselves readily available if needed. If you're staying in winter, be prepared for cooler temperatures but don't shy away from the experience. It was peaceful, quiet, and the hot tub was 100x more appreciated in the cold. We can't wait to come back in the summer and experience everything in its green glory! I could go on and on, but in short it was a unique and wonderful experience, and Chris and Lisa were 100% behind that. Thank you again so much for your hospitality!!!

    Agne2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely stay and a perfect little getaway. Chris and Lisa were very warm and welcoming. Chris showed us around the beautiful teepee and property - it is quiet, peaceful and inviting. We were glad to have really good weather - the sky was clear and nighttime provided a splendid show of a sky full of stars - and many shooting stars too. Note there is limited cell and radio reception, and the teepee is closer to the property than expected - but I'm sure there's a reason for it. All in all, a highly recommended stay.

    Roseita2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as magical as the description and the other commenters have said - it's an incredible setting with lovely hosts and a totally unique place to stay. We will be back.

  • AMAZING weekend! William's house and Andes itself exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful - perfectly decorated and in such a great location. The house is situated right in town, so we were able to walk to the antique shops, restaurants, and cider tap room. It's also located a short walk to the Andes Rail Trail and Bullet Hole Spur for some fun hiking. Although it is in town, there is a nice little backyard with a fire pit and great views of the mountains. We are excited to hopefully come back soon!

    Whitney2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, pristine, well-designed and clean place, which is excellently located on the Main Street. Everything feels fresh, clean and new and tastefully done. Nice eat-in kitchen and backyard with firepit for those Catskills nights. Everything is walkable as it is on the Main Street of Andes and we took advantage of that! JeanneMarie and William went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, checking in, and responding quickly to our needs. Thank you again for letting us stay in your gem of a place!

    Sophie2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first AirBnB booking and we have been completely spoilt. The space was beautifully designed and as we were one of the first to stay there, everything felt fresh, modern and super clean. The heating works really well and William was the perfect host. He responded within 10 minutes to all our questions and was open to any feedback about what else the rental may need. We were arriving very late at night so he left us milk, bread and farm eggs for breakfast. The wifi is fast, which is important in Andes as cell reception is spotty at best. The only caution is if there are people in the apartment upstairs, you can hear them walking overhead. However, we were used to this living in an apartment in NYC. We are making this place a regular rental now. Could not recommend it highly enough.

  • William's apartment in Andes was absolutely fantastic. It's a really beautiful space, really clean and decorating was lovely. Really big and light. I think it would be great as a couples vacation spot or for a family. Only a short walk to food and some really cute antique stores. William was very responsive and helpful. Absolutely recommend William's apartment and can't wait to return!

    Jacob2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Willam's beautifully kept home. It was the perfect base to explore the Catskills in Andes and the surrounding towns. We look forward to staying there again.

  • Cheryl's place is very much as pictured and described. It is clean, tidy and very nicely put together. Despite the super freezing temperatures we had over the weekend, the apartment stays very warm and cozy (gas fireplace is very handy!). The place is spacious and in a great location. Cheryl is a very responsive and helpful host. I would definitely recommend this place when visiting such a pretty area.

    carmen2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment is beautifully done and clean, right in town, which is convenient for walking but does mean there is some light noise/light pollution. Check in is easy and convenient. Kitchen was stocked with appropriate utensils etc, but did not provide coffee or substantive sundries, which is always appreciated especially in places without good grocery access. Cheryl was a lovely host, very welcoming and charming. Her estate up the road is breathtaking, an absolute must. So much wildlife and beautiful fall colors. She also makes legitimately delicious kombucha.

    Sarah2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home in the quaint town of Andes. House is modern, cozy and clean. Cheryl was easy to reach and made our stay seamless. Highly recommend.

    Diana2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space, beautifully decorated and clean. Great light. Outdoor porches are very nice and we did some grilling on the back deck. The kitchen is well appointed and a pleasure to cook in. Bathroom is nicely done and had anything you might need provided. Cheryl was a very welcoming host and was available for any questions. The town is quiet and peaceful, there are some nice restaurants and it's accessible to a lot of interesting activities. Would absolutely return.

    Elizabeth2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl's place was AMAZING! We loved the location and the house itself. It was so welcoming and filled with such artistic and creative charm and character. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a clean and quiet getaway where you can relax infront of the fire and listen to the sound of the stream. She is also a pleasure to deal with and very hospitable. Thank you Cheryl for an amazing stay!

  • Stephanie was truly a wonderful host! She is and was so kind, accommodating, warm and welcoming. Her home was in fact even nicer than we expected, was very spacious, warm, and the bed was extremely comfortable. She supplied us with lots of breakfast snacks and delicious coffee/tea. Stephanie even drove my boyfriend and I to Belleayre Ski Resort and back. Overall this was a trip worth while for us and would definitely consider coming back again, we highly recommend you book with Stephanie, as she understands what being a host truly means. Thank you

    Nadiya2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Stephanie's! Beautiful, calming space with all of the small touches that make a stay feel like home. It was also great to see her ceramics work downstairs- she is very talented! Andes itself is a very small, cozy town with delicious restaurants and cidery with a great community feel.

    Caroline2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great room! Stephanie was lovely and her house is beautiful. Room was as described and bed was incredibly comfortable. She went out of her way to make me feel at home, which was very appreciated. Hope to stay there again!

  • Stephanie is super lovely and helpful. I very much enjoyed staying here. I came to town for a wedding and extended my stay one night and went hiking. Walking distance to cafe, restaurants, hikes and bus stops. If you drive it is easy to find parking.

    Ylva2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie was a fantastic host, room was stylish and very clean, bed was so comfortable! Being able to wake up and have coffee in bed or in the front porch was a great perk. Waking distance to the great shops and food, close to hiking and more restaurants. Stephanie gave us great insight and suggestions to the area. She also makes beautiful ceramics in her studio!

    Cailey2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend. Clean bed, nice little breakfast bar and Stephanie was very friendly.

    Eileen2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wedding in Andes and Stephanie's place was the perfect choice for us as the location was very close to the wedding. A nice surprise was how very friendly and helpful Stephanie was as a host. Without her, our trip to Andes would have not gone so smooth. Her house is adorable with a beautiful pottery studio/shop and comfortable sleeping accommodations. I would recommend staying there to anyone and we hope to stay there again.

  • I can't recommend this place enough! Not only did we discover an amazing rental with wonderful hosts but we fell in LOVE with Andes. If you're a brooklyner (or New Yorker) desperate for a break, get a car and get up to Andes for a couple of days. Skip was a wonderful host and even the neighbors were welcoming. The unit is HUGE! it's like your very own farmhouse. walk up the road to the quaint town for amazing antiques and curiosities. Eat at one of the handful of good place or just rock the afternoon away on the porch to the sounds of the rushing creek across the street. We can't wait to get back!

Our place is a 3 minute drive or 20 walk to the town of Andes with antiques, vintage clothing, cafes, nature hikes, mountain streams, public pool, family-friendly activities, restaurants, and dining. You’ll love our place because of the high ceilings, wood burning stove, movie projector, wrap around porch sunsets, the fresh air and quiet forest. Our place is good for couples and also child friendly. The house is a 15 minute drive to Belleayre Ski Center.
    - Andes has a lot of great places to eat and shop (don't miss the vintage store Clementine). The gas station/local store in Andes now also have some basic staples and local produce, so you can get frozen meat from local farmers, milk, eggs and cheese, etc, and some fresh fruit and veg. If you go to Bovina we recommend the egg sandwiches at Russell (the owner of this country store, Bee, is the perfect breakfast host) and dinner at Brushland (run by a young Brooklyn couple). Pizza night at Table on Ten is also great (http://www.tableonten.com/table/) Shop for cute things (clothes, interior deco, toys, yarn, etc) at Stewart’s i Delhi and go to Lucky Dog for lunch (https://www.luckydogorganic.com). For a nice, local hike that is just a couple of miles, do go to the Andes Train Trail (https://andesworks.com/rail-trail/). The Farmers market in Delhi is also great as well as the Round Barn. You can swim in the rivers around Delhi and in Little Pond. Peekamoose Blue Hole is also great for swimming! (http://www.watershedpost.com/2015/take-dip-where-swim-catskills). As for bars there is the one in town at the Andes Hotel, but if you are prepared to drive I would recommend Brushlands for a cocktail
  • We had a great time at Anna's charming mountain cabin. The place is very cozy, and the location is exactly what we'd hoped for—secluded, quiet and simply stunning. We had a minor glitch with the internet service, but Anna was very helpful with troubleshooting the issue with the phone company. It was a wonderful getaway and we would definitely love to stay here again.

  • This was the perfect Catskills spot for our family, with the access to town, picture perfect views, wrap around porch and treehouse!

  • Anna's place is just lovely and relaxing. The record collection is superb, the furniture is comfortable, and the view from the living room is perfect. Quiet time spent off the grid is the perfect antidote to city life.

  • Great country retreat in Andes and Anna is a great host, very responsive and accommodating.

    Vit2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here last week with our 13 month old daughter and had a wonderful time. Anna's place is comfortable, quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The front deck has a lovely view of a gazebo and small pond (not part of Anna's property, but still nice to look at!). The master king bed and living room furniture were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. We used the grill on the deck most nights to make meals with locally purchased, organic meats and vegetables. We also thoroughly enjoyed the record collection! The house is close to the town of Andes and within short driving distance to great Catskills towns, restaurants, shops and attractions. Anna's recommendations for local shops and eats were great, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. Anna communicated promptly and thoroughly and made the entire experience very smooth. We would definitely return!

  • Carol-Ann was very welcoming and available to get in touch with. The place was incredibly clean and she provided everything you may need... even some welcoming snacks in the fridge which was perfect when we woke up. I will certainly be returning, and would not stay anywhere else!

  • The apartment was very covenient and wonderfully decorated. It felt very welcoming and perfect for our stay.

  • Carol-Ann is a delightful host, and the place is beautiful and very clean. She met us to show us around and give us keys, but otherwise gave us our privacy. The place is easy walking distance to pretty much anything in town, yet it's quiet and private feeling. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bed was comfortable. There's a living room and a dining room, and it was nice to be able to spread out a bit.

    Cameron2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Carol-Ann was very easy to communicate with and responded immediately. She met us when we arrived and showed us around. The apartment was everything that we expected and very comfortable and beautifully designed. The surprise was a welcoming gift and some snacks and breakfast items. I would definitely stay here again and we greatly enjoyed the convenience of the location to our family and the amenities of the town of Andes.

The newly remodeled general store in town also stocks eggs, meat, dairy, and even blankets from its own farm. During the ski season, you’re a short 20 minute drive to Bellayre, and 35 minutes to Plattekill.
  • There's no place like home, unless you're staying at this beautiful place - the perfect blend of rural traditional charm and modern city sensibility. My wife said it best - "it's like walking into Grandma's house for the holidays - if she was married to Carrie Grant! Everywhere you turn, you feel the balance between elegant simplicity and welcoming convenience and comfort. The living room absolutely glows with a subtle warmth as you enter it, with beautiful and comfortable furnishings and art work. The kitchen and bathroom seem brand new and yet somehow, completely original with that nod to the 1950s. Each bedrooroom was furnished with a beautiful mix of pieces that were so comfortable and the interior has a marvelous open feeling so you never feel cramped. Every finish and fitting seemed to be meticulously thought out. And, if the interior isn't enough, there's a beautifully designed patio out back, exquisitely landscaped with a private path, perfect for a early morning stroll into the woods. Best of all, you can walk into town in five minutes to the restaurants and shops. It really is a place you never want to leave and always want to come back to again and again. Thank you Vinny and Jason. What you've created is nothing short of magical!!

    Michael2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with Airbnb. Everything went so smoothly it felt like I was walking into my own home. The house had everything that was promised. I would recommend this house and the hosts 100%. Most relaxing weekend we had in a very long time. Everything was 5 stars from the linens, towels and bedding to the furniture and cleanliness of the home. Beautiful views!

    Marnie2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting, relaxing weekend!

    Brenda2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at the bungalow! We didn't get to meet our hosts but they were just a phone call or text message away if we needed anything. The location is very convenient (on the main street of Andes!), but far enough away from businesses to feel secluded. The house feels so clean and comfortable–Jason and Vinny did an incredible job decorating as well as fixing it up, while still maintaining the original charm and character. There are plenty of things to do nearby (hiking trails, swimming holes, antique stores, farms) but we also loved taking advantage of the cozy living room in addition to the backyard with a grill. I would definitely stay here again!

    Mia2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house is easy to find and with a very good lay out accommodating at least three people. It has three separate bedrooms, out of which two are double. I really liked my stay, everything was very comfortable and small back terrace offers wonderful rest and great views.

    Magda2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about Jason's bungalow is perfect - we truly felt like we were at home during our stay - and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Jason was an amazing host - he was super responsive, brought our kids a sled to play with in the snow, and recommended a great evening spot for NYE - and we could not have asked for a better experience.

    salina2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was extremely helpful. After he confirmed our booking, he emailed us the instructions on how to enter the house and a guidebook for the surrounding area. He also made a checklist for things we needed to do before leaving, which saved us from wondering whether to clean the dishes and where to put the garbage. The house was really nice and was equipped with Nest, so we were able to schedule the heating so that we could go back to a warm house after a cold day on the skiing slopes. Overall a very quiet and nice place to stay for a weekend trip!

    Xiao2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very accommodating to our needs. Allowed us to check out later than the stated check out time. The place was kept in great condition, appeared to have been furnished by an interior decorator. The only comments I would add are: 1) bring your own spices/condiments 2) house does not have central a/c, but a window a/c unit upstairs. 3) bring citronella - lot of bugs in the summer time which can get into the house 4) bring your own extra toilet paper and paper towels - they only provide one roll each 5) no cell service in the house or surrounding areas, but there is internet in the house 6) if you need to get in touch with the owners, they may not get back to you right away. We tried calling them several times, but were unable to get in touch with them. But they do respond via email Other than, we had a great time at the house - backyard has absolutely stunning views! Great quaint town:)

  • The house is very charming and exceed our expectations. Everything was impeccably clean and well appointed. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious and bright the house was. We loved being part of the farm and all the animals who were our neighbors [a bunch of sheep, horses and a sweet cow]. Andes is an adorable little town and this house fits right in with the experience. Lauren was helpful, responsive and low maintenance; we didn't have any issues. Overall we had a great time and would happily recommend it to anyone.

  • Perfect! The house was the perfect space and location for my huysband, four kids and myself. You truly do NOT need AC in the summer for the nights were really cool. The kids loved to explore the creek right next to the house and the firepit next to it was an idyllic setting for being up in the Catskill area. Rita had left some great recommendations for restaurants but with the short about of time we had there, Main St. was all we needed. Main Street of Andes is walkable and enjoyable to check out just about every store and restaurant. The house has everything you need. The kitchen has all modern amenities. We actually overpacked thinking we needed miscellaneous items, i.e. corkscrew, coffee filters, etc. Rita is so quick to respond and the most accommodating host. There is limited cellular service, but if you are familiar with Delaware County, you are use to that. But she does have a Verizon Booster for those carrying Verizon and free wifi. Will definitely stay at this location again!

Less than 3 hours away from New York our 3 bedroom cabin is the perfect retreat for those who seek beauty, charm and simplicity. The nearby town of Andes is a hidden gem in a pristine and protected landscape, and off the usual beaten track.
Our cabin is the perfect retreat from the city, in one of the most pristine areas of the Catskills, 4.5 miles from the town of Andes. It's a one-floor rustic 50s ranch-style home with a large deck and a garden. There are three bedrooms with 3 queen-sized beds, and one bathroom with shower. The cabin is on a secondary road with very little traffic and is surrounded by forests. We provide a wifi connection and a land line phone that you can use to receive and to make local calls, a washer and dryer and a fully equipped and well-stocked kitchen. There's also a charcoal-fired Weber kettle grill for the summer BBQ. There is no cellphone reception within a 15-mile radius of the house, so bring a computer or calling card to make calls. For winter heating there's central air and a wood-burning stove. We supply the wood and instructions on how to keep the cabin toasty during cold winter nights.
We are 5 minutes away from the Pepacton Reservoir and the National Park where you can hike, fish and camp. The reservoir is now also open to canoeing, kayaking and sailing (you will find rental stores in Downsville and Arkville), and there are wonderful roads along it for biking. Roscoe, on the other side of the National Park is the mecca for fly fishing. You can also walk right outside the door and along 6 miles of graveled road with minimal traffic, or just enjoy looking out at the mountains from the deck. The area is full of things to do during all seasons, from enjoying nature to visiting local farmer's markets in the summer, antiquing in Walton and visiting it's amazing fair in August, horseback riding, swimming in mountain lakes, you name it. There's a rich wildlife to enjoy as well, including eagles, wild turkey, deer, fox, racoons, the occasional bear and the night yapping of coyotes. In the winter you can ski at both Bellayre and Plattekill, about 40 minutes away from the cabin, and the wood-burning stove will warm you up when you return from the cold. In the town of Andes you'll find a handful of very cool businesses, such as Kabinett & Kammer for antiques, Clementine for vintage clothing, Two Old Tarts for great food, and the latest addition, Wayside Cider, definitely worth a visit. You can also hang out and socialize at the Andes Hotel and enjoy a dinner on their terrace on a beautiful evening.
  • Kai was a great host! He made sure we had a full download on what the cabin had to offer before we arrived. There was no stress getting in or leaving the cabin. The cabin is in great condition and has everything you need to cook up anything you can think of. All rooms were very clean and comfortable. The land around the cabin was kept in great shape. Our 10month old puppy had the time of his life! Nearby Andes is cute and the Friday night Cans and Clams event at the Andes hotel was fun. There is a farmers market on saturdays in Andes. We got everything we needed from the market for a big BBQ . There is a local sheep farmer called David Burress selling delicious cuts from his farm 'Argyle Farms'. Kai also called us at the house on the first morning to make recommendations of where to go hiking etc. All in all a great place and a great host!

    Kevin 2014-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kai, is a courteous host. He provided information in a timely and thorough manner. It was a blast to be in Andes near the Catskills region with a great, no fuss cabin. Quiet, private, and beside gorgeous reservoirs. Thank you, Kai!

    Bria2013-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kai's cabin was absolutely perfect for a cozy weekend in one of the best parts of New York state! The photos of the cabin don't do it justice, the place is perfectly sized for 4-6 people and outfitted with adorable cabin decor. There is a great couch in front of the fire and tv, a fantastic dinner table and all of the bedrooms were clean with comfy beds and great views of the forest. It was too cold to use the deck but it's really specious, with views of a forested hill, so we enjoyed it from inside, with some logs burning in the fire All of us agreed Andes is one of the sweetest Hamlets we've ever seen, we went to a bunch of galleries and antique stores, a vintage clothing store and ate at the Andes Hotel twice, as well as Two Old Tarts. The general store in town is closed, but Tremperskill Country Store is close by & has great local food and supplies (and local beer!) Margaretville is close too (w a bigger market) but honestly there's no reason to leave Andes. The indoor Farmer's Market on Saturday was also fantastic, we bought all our supplies for a big dinner and cooked it at Kai's - the house has all the kitchen supplies you could need! Kai checked in on us via text during our stay and was really helpful, replying to our earlier questions - a great host! I would without a doubt come back to Kai's cabin (and hopefully will soon!)

    Anton2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Kai's place. Great location for exploring this area of the Catskills. House was well equipped, private and comfortable. We look forward to doing it again.

  • This place in the Catskills was great! In a nice, quiet wooded setting, you are totally removed from everything, yet central enough to explore the towns in the Catskills. The pictures and descriptions of the place are accurate. Although we didn't meet Kai in person, communication was easy and questions were answered promptly.

    Chad2015-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great. Kai's great. His neighbors are great and so is the town. Make sure to go to 'Two Old Tarts' for food. Highly recommend staying here.

    Pierce2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin in the Catskills was perfect. Cozy. Peaceful. Gorgeous. Exactly what we were hoping for in a winter getaway. Kai was very helpful, answered all of my questions and recommended some great spots to visit. We hope to return in the summer!

    Lauren2013-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This house certainly is a gorgeous getaway in the Catskills... located down a quite country road it was very peaceful, but close enough to the small town of Andes and Delhi for supplies. It was easy to pick up the key, the house is well stocked for cooking utensils etc and Kai was a great communicator, checking that we had everything we needed. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better value place located in the heart of the Catskills. Thanks Kai for posting on Air BnB.

  • This house is wonderful. The large interior and beautiful scenic exterior make this place a hidden retreat. I especially enjoyed the family-friendly qualities of this house. The barn is a spectacle within itself, with a large basketball court on the 2nd floor and a stream that runs through the 1st floor. The side lawn is a great space for fun outdoor activities, with a nice pond to relax beside. Kim was a great host, being extremely easy to communicate with before, during, and after my stay.

  • Our stay in Bovina Center far surpassed our wildest expectations. I chose this home because it was large, beautiful, and could accommodate myself and 11 friends as we celebrated my 30th birthday for the weekend. If I could post photos here, I'd show some pictures of our delicious several course meals that we were able to prepare in the giant kitchen and eat all together at the beautiful long dining room table. There are windows everywhere, so we were always able to take in the gorgeous surroundings... which is where we spent most of our time. There is no way to describe just how beautiful this property is. We went on a very long hike behind the barn, which had both wooded and prairie areas. We spent several hours relaxing in the grass - the sky was huge, the view of the mountains all around us was so green and expansive, and the grounds are impeccably maintained. There are wildflowers, a beautiful pond chirping with frogs that we swam in and took our kayak on, and so many spots for us to lounge and take it all in. We spent an evening in the barn playing basketball and hanging out, and brought an amp so that we could do karaoke on our second night. While my friends certainly made this trip a weekend I will never forget, I can't imagine having spent it anywhere else. We imagined we'd travel the area but ended up enjoying ourselves without leaving, satisfied to explore, spend time together, cook, and laugh endlessly on the porch. Thank you Kim for being a fabulous and communicative host! You and your giant home are amazing!

  • House is huge and very charming, clean and well kept. All the beds were comfy and the heart worked great of a chilly August! The barn is such fun we had fun playing basketball, watching a movie, skateboarding and tap dancing in the barn all a the same time! The property is lovely and huge and very peaceful, a perfect spot to enjoy, Bovina, Andes and Delhi.

  • Beautiful, rustic house with incredible grounds and scenery. The house is much bigger than it looks - we were pleasantly surprised at how large and spacious all of the rooms were. We had 11 members of our family (ages 1 to 81) staying there for a nearby wedding and it was perfect. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for an extra day to enjoy the house more!

  • Great spot. Quiet and secluded. Huge field for sports. The indoor basketball court in the barn was a major bonus. Would absolutely recommend.

Stunning Catskill Mountain views from the deck of this cozy history-laden log cabin. Here you’ll find privacy yet you’re close to shopping, dining, galleries, antiques and all things Catskills! Inside you have all the comforts with updated appliances, Wi-Fi, and Apple TV. Or go outside and just sit on the deck, unplug, unwind, and listen to the sounds of the nearby stream! There’s plenty of nearby hiking, swimming, biking, dining, etc.
Andes Mountaintop Chalet was originally a ranger's cabin. It is now a high-end comfort getaway. High thread count sheets, comfortable mattress., Wi-Fi, smart TV. The pull-out sofa in the living room area has a queen mattress. Amazing views, big sky, and plenty of nature with just enough connection to reality... well, if you absolutely MUST stay connected to reality. You may not think so highly of "reality" after a grilled dinner and an evening of stars by the fire pit.
Andes Mountaintop Chalet is nestled into a quiet area that seems far away but is actually just 15 minutes to Margaretville for groceries, restaurants, liquor store, shopping. And 15 minutes to Andes for great shops and restaurants.
  • The cabin is exactly like the pictures - it is small and cozy and perfectly clean (note: you must leave $65 cash for cleaning not in the listing price). There is a fireplace and heating for the winter, and A/C's for the summer, making it totally comfortable. The bedroom is very welcoming, and even though the mattress is extremely firm we slept wonderfully. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a small table with adirondack chairs on the beautiful porch to have your meals. Dirt roads lead you to the house, which feels very serene and private (you can barely see the houses around it) and the view is incredible. We built a fire in the outdoor fire pit, grilled our dinner, and enjoyed the sunset from the bench swing. It was better than expected and we will definitely be back! Only down side is the TV does not work but we didn't need it:)

  • This property is perfect for getting away from the city and relaxing in seclusion. The cabin is pristine, extremely comfortable and situated on a beautiful property where our dog could run free. Although the cabin was far off from a main road, it's only 15 minutes outside Andes town center which has shops and a great vintage store. Jason was professional, very helpful and communicative during our stay. We definitely recommend this property and look forward to returning soon!

  • Perfect little getaway. Jason and Phyllis are very helpful and I look forward to coming back in the near future.

  • This is a perfect cabin for a relaxing getaway. The fall leaves were changing overnight and the sky was perfectly clear for stargazing around the fire pit. The house is well stocked for comfort and the location is private without being difficult to get to.

  • A fantastically situated, solidly built, and cozy cabin with panoramic views in every direction. It's a steep climb through some gorgeous country (I love the cows grazing on pasture near the bottom of the hill), but wow are you rewarded when you get to the top. The house is in impeccable condition, well-maintained, and has everything you would need. It's on a big plot of land, so you feel like you have it all to yourself, with places to wander and explore. Phyllis was super responsive and a delight to interact with. Recommend highly.

  • Very helpful hosts! Impeccably clean cabin that was cozy and ready for us when we arrived. They made arriving there super easy, with clear instructions + information about the local towns & the Catskills happenings. Wish we had time for one more day!

Great 2 bedroom suite. Walking distance to Two Old Tarts, the Andes Hotel and wonderful little shops along Main St. We're centrally located in Delaware County which boasts many beautiful farms, antique stores, music venues, skiing and so much more.
This is the 2nd floor suite in the Farm House. It has 2 bedrooms with a Queen in each room. The bathroom is brand new with a big tiled shower. It has a Coffee Bar with a fridge and microwave.
  • Skip is gracious, kind, and really made a beautiful space out of the Delaware house. Very rustic and new combined into a beautiful space.

  • This is a clean, beautiful property. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings are eclectic, practical and pretty. The bathroom is new, clean, and roomy. The location is very nice - close to Main street. Most importantly, I cannot say enough about Chip, the host. We had a car accident the night we were there (car was not drivable). Chip was super helpful, allowing us to stay past the usual checkout time, giving my husband a lift to the car rental place and being amazingly kind and helpful.

  • Delaware House is a delight! My Airbnb was immaculate, impeccably appointed with stylish vintage furniture, and with a brand new bathroom to boot. All this, right in town, which was great for traveling with pups -- we had lovely strolls beside the babbling creek. Skip is a personable and friendly host too!

  • Had a lovely stay at Kat's cabin - it's even nicer than the photos. Was very warm and cozy, clean, well taken care of. Kat is super communicative and sent a really helpful detailed guide to the house. Andes is a great little town, lots of beautiful hikes nearby. Would love to come back when it's warmer so we can hang out in the yard. Thanks for a great weekend!

    Siena2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time at Kat's place. The house itself is lovely and warm, and full of special treasures. We spent lots of time on the porch, enjoying the incredible views, and taking walks in the neighborhood. We also had a great time exploring swimming holes nearby. Kat was always responsive, helpful and welcoming. We can't wait to come back.

    Michelle2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kat's cabin is very sweet, with beautiful views, and very quiet even though there are a few neighbors in sight. We loved having fires out back, watching the moon rise, and listening to owls. Our little boys enjoyed playing in the woods and on the swings. All of us loved having outdoor showers. We had a lovely hike at the Palmer Hill trail and a swim at Big Pond. Recommend this as a great spot for relaxing and checking out the Catskills!

    Holly2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was fantastic! Kat sent us super clear and helpful directions and instructions ahead of time, and the house was clean and comfortable. Best night of sleep I've had in ages. We weren't able to make full use of the area because of wedding events in Delhi but we would certainly love to come back for a relaxing weekend getaway from the city and will highly recommend Kat's cabin to others!!

This is a vacation home in the Catskills with a well-kept, private 3-acre lawn, a wrap-around deck and spectacular views of the mountains. The house sits on a hill overlooking The Pepacton Reservoir just 10 minutes outside Margaretville, NY, and is recently renovated, comfortable and stylish. A professional caretaker who can answer any questions and solve any problem lives just a few minutes away.
This house offers an extremely private and serene setting with its enormous lawn and wrap-around deck. The space is comfortable and spacious enough for a few couples or a family. Outside the views are stunning and inside the furniture is a mix of antique and new. The house has three bedrooms -- 2 downstairs that share a full bath and 1 upstairs with its own full bath. There's a loft area with a TV/DVD that overlooks a living area. Loft area also has a sofa-bed that sleeps two. There's a newly renovated kitchen with a brand new dishwasher. There's a large dining table inside and a picnic table on the deck for eating inside or out. Full basement has washer/dryer and game area with a pool table. There is a cornhole set, frisbee, badminton and a croquet set for the yard. The downstairs bedrooms each have an antique vanity, a queen bed in one and an antique full size brass bed in the other. Upstairs is a queen bed with its own full bath. The deck is partially covered so that you can have meals and relaxing outside even if it's raining and there's nice shade all day in the summer. The house is bathed in sunlight all day long but window shades come in handy for an afternoon naps. I've covered the roof with solar panels so clean electricity is being generated all day long, winter and summer. The professional caretaker lives just a few minutes up the road and is an experienced contractor. He knows the house inside and out (he built parts of it) and is available for anything you need.
The house sits on a hill overlooking the Pepacton reservoir. There are a few other houses on the same private road, none closer than about 100 yards. Margaretville, which is very close, has a few good restaurants and a terrific grocery store and liquor store. Peekamoose Restaurant is just a 20 minute drive on 28. It's as good as the best restaurants in NYC. Phoenicia is only about half an hour away and there are great opportunities for tubing and other water fun there.
  • This house was absolutely perfect in every way. It was clean and well kept. Everything was well designed. Beds were very comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets if the nights got too cool. There was milk in the refrigerator for coffee in the morning which we were very grateful to see. The view was amazing, and the air is nice and fresh. Very quiet for sleeping. The only downfall is the dirt road needed some repairs on it but that is being taken care of too. All in all, I highly recommend this house as a rental. I will definitely rent from John again if he will allow me to.

  • I had a great time with my family staying in John's home for the weekend. The space is well taken care of and spacious, with everything that we needed to feel comfortable. There are plenty of great hikes within a short drive, along with Margaretville which is only 10 minutes away for any supplies you may need. The big dining table and games (both indoor and outdoor) were perfect for the family trip.

    Sarah2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a 4-day weekend in John's house and we had a great time. The house is exactly as described, 3 large rooms, 2 full bathrooms, and very-well equipped kitchen (perfect for cooking-addicts like our group!), a great sunny deck and big garden. Ideal for a group of 6 people. John and Shawn were really helpful to give us instructions and organize our arrival and departure. As mentioned, internet is kind of limited, but it is nice to be disconnected sometimes! We will definitely go back if John agrees to host us again.

  • my experience at the home was amazing! the house was beautiful and exceeded our expectations.... I was taken away by the location especially because of the privacy and exquisite landscape. it had everything we were looking for...I especially enjoyed the wood stove because it definitely warms up the house quite nicely and very fast...very thankful that we had enough wood for the entire weekend. I will most definitely be booking it again for a get-away because it was perfect!!!!

    jessica2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at John's place was perfect. We spent four nights here over New Year's weekend. His home is beautiful with lots of personal touches. We joked that every time we thought of something we needed, it would appear in the house. Shawn, the house's caretaker, went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable, from sanding the icy driveway, bringing us extra firewood, and letting us borrow his telescope on our last night. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone, really incredible value.

Recently restored and decorated by Sean Scherer, this large apartment is located in the village of Andes. Out the back door of the apartment you'll find a screened-in porch looking out over the Tremperskill Stream where you can fish for brook trout, or just laze in an Adirondack chair and listen to the sound of water and nature all around you.
The back porch and back lawn of the apartment overlooks the Tremperskill, where you can wade or bath on a hot day. A number of folks catch brown trout in the stream from April though June and we encourage fishing throughout the area including the Pepactin Reservior approximately 6 miles south of the village of Andes on County Rt 1. You'll find us easy to get to--just 3 hours from the GW Bridge. As Andes is served by Adirondack Trailways you can come up with out a car. Within walking distance you'll find wonderful hiking on The Andes Rail Trail (4 miles), swimming at the Andes Pool and Tennis at the High school. Also you delight in discovering new antiques and Kabinett and Kammer, Paisleys and The Tin Whistle. When you'r ready for food and drink, you can relax enjoy yourself at Wayside Cider, The Andes Hotel or Two Old Tarts Golf is 10 miles away in Delhi. Enjoy pure mountain lake swimming at Little Pond or Big Pond. Andes is also about an hour south of the National baseball museum. We hope you'll make Streamside your home base when exploring all that Andes, Delaware County and the Catskills has to offer.
  • Hands down one of the Best Airbnb spaces and Host experiences I've had. The space is beautifully decorated, the beds and linens great, the location couldn't be more convenient and the porch, stream and fire pit out back serene & tranquil. William was the most gracious host, I was having a glitch with the app and trouble booking. He was so patient & kind and blocked out the space while I was trying to reach Airbnb customer service to get the issue resolved and then was kind enough to come meet us when we checked in. I'm a bit of a snob and my stay exceeded every expectation. I will be booking here again every chance I get.

  • Streamside Lodging has a lovely location in the quaint town of Andes. Located just on the edge of the Catskill Park, you can easily hike 5-10 minutes nearby, or spend your time in town exploring Antique shops and cafes a short walk away. The stream outside and stars above have a calming effect at night, as you sit in Adirondack chairs and light a fire in the pit. Truly the best of both worlds, enjoying a restful country atmosphere with all the amenities nearby. And a yoga studio will be opening up next door soon! The apartment is immaculately decorated. While it would have been easy to fill this beautifully renovated space with Ikea furniture, William has gone the extra mile to include charming farm antiques and wall hangings, and beautiful finishing touches. The steam bath is a wonderful addition for a peaceful weekend. We stayed at Streamside as one of the first guests. While there were inconveniences with our stay including some construction, William was responsive and communicative. We feel this places will be a gem when it's completely ready, and anyone who stays will be lucky to experience it!

William was easy to communicate with and very nice. I would stay here again.

  • Scott's place is a wonderful little hideaway...the house has this old Barn like feeling, with a wood-burning stove made it very cozy. As soon as you walk in you feel this warm welcoming energy. Plenty of rooms and beds were very comfortable, Scott had new towels and sheets for us when we arrived, he was a great host always available when we had a question. The 2nd bathroom is a really great thing to have for big groups! The best for me was deck outside, sitting out with coffee/tea looking out into the trees and listening to the water from the streams was the most relaxing time. evening walks around the area was a very peaceful time for my husband. For my older boys, the ATV was the best! They had a really fun time with that!;) We are definitely coming back! and recommend it to any family or groups.

    Fabricia 2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Scott said that he is taking his property off the rental market until he has a chance to address the issues of cleaning, etc. I think that once he irons out some of the kinks, this will be a lovely and relaxing retreat for a guest who wants to get away into the country.

    lisa2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Scott's house is indeed a rustic chalet. The pictures are accurate but the space is too rustic for the price point. Cobwebs, dust and other debris were found in most of the spaces. The kitchen appliances were a premium brand but did not work well (fridge shut off during our stay because "door wasn't shut properly", oven light showing temperature did not work). The upstairs bathroom posed many issues - the circuit for this area tripped and would not switch back on - and the shower itself was dirty. While I do not want to deter guests from staying here in the future, please be aware of the "rustic" quality of this home. Scott was easy to communicate with during our stay and available when we reached out to resolve issues. Also to note - the property is vast and beautiful but needs some serious landscaping. The host alerted us of this ahead of the stay so it was not a surprise or issue for us.

This 575 sq. ft. cabin is located in between Margaretville and Andes, NY. Enjoy the hammock, grilling, and the fire pit in the evenings. Great for reading, relaxing and as a base for exploring beautiful Delaware County. Antique shops, barn sales, and farm stands are open all summer long.

We are conveniently located a mile and a half off Route 28 between Margaretville and Andes, NY. Cycling, fishing, hiking and shopping are all easily accessible.
  • Had a perfect experience at the cabin with my wife and daughter. Jonathan came through on very short notice after we realized the family member we were supposed to stay with "oversold" the accommodations. The vacation was saved! My 2 year old had a lot of fun with the toys and especially the swing. So thanks, and when we get back to NY you may be hearing from us again.

  • Jonathan was responsive and provided excellent information about the cabin and places to go in the area for groceries/food. We thoroughly enjoyed the yard and the well-equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed and more. The couch and futon were also fairly comfortable for sleeping on.

  • We LOVED our time at this very relaxing beautiful cabin! Jonathan was amazing at response time and so very helpful. We well return to this gem very soon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

  • The cabin is a charming, beautiful little house. It had everything we needed for a peaceful weekend including a very well equipped kitchen, an eclectic assortment of books, a fine record player, a view of the mountains, and the relaxing sounds of a small creek. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby towns and countryside - dotted with friendly farms where we picked up eggs, dairy and meat.

Our peaceful cabin is located in the middle of a nice green forest. It is our little hidden gem where we run away from the busy city and find immense peace when listening the beautiful music of birds all around. It is a perfect gateway for individuals, couples or a family (or two) with kids. Enjoy it! (follow us on instagram @andescabin)
  • The cabin in the woods is very comfortable and inviting. Nice wooded location was very quiet and great for a weekend out of the city. Would definitely recommend a stay there!

    Elizabeth2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We rented the cabin with the 4 of us (2adults 2kids) mainly because all the children's necessary item where already there (crib/ toddler bed/booster seat). We loved the house in the middle of the woods. No tv and phone reception, exactly what we need!

  • Lovely cabin in the woods, immaculately kept, cozy, and peaceful. We really appreciated the toys for the kids and the fire pit, supplied with firewood. Claudia had everything ready for our arrival and the cabin was very clean and tidy. Andes is a great village to visit and our family enjoyed our time at the cabin as well as our excursions and hikes nearby.

    Harvey2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia's little cabin in the woods is a sweet place to relax for a couple. It's a less is more kind of place. It has everything you need to enjoy a simple weekend . The side porch is great for morning coffee and evening wine.

  • Claudia's home is like a Norman Rockwell painting. The house is nestled around a beautiful woods. It is such a quaint place. A perfect getaway for a couple or their family. It has everything you need to complete the vacation you dreamed of. Claudia is extremely flexible and so easy to work with. We plan on returning as often as we can. You will LOVE her place.

  • Claudia was a fantastic host. The cabin was charming and comfortable. It was just as described, and she went out of her way to provide some nice extras to make sure we felt welcome. The property is gorgeous, with a deck and a fire pit perfect for some leisurely lounging. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling, board games, and toys for the tots. Claudia was easy to get hold of and very responsive to all my questions and requests. Her cabin is far enough out of the way to really relax and enjoy privacy but close enough to the sights for day trips or a leisurely lunch in the village. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer!

  • Lovely host, beautiful spot!

    Alex2016-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia's place is quiet and quaint in a rural area outside of Andes and Bovina, which was perfect for us as we were visiting friends there. Claudia was very communicative and flexible with checkin/checkout. The house was clean and equipped with pack-n-play and other kids items that were very useful for our two kids.

A private log cabin sitting in peaceful Andes, NY. It features everything you need to entertain yourself and guests for as long as you'd like. 3BR + loft (Sleeps 8 comfortably and 2 BA. This cabin has all the comforts of home and is fairly new. The bed breakdown is: 1 BR with 2 queen beds (Sleeps 4), 1 BR with 1 queen bed (sleeps 2), 1 BR with 1 queen bed (sleeps 2), 1 loft with 1 full bed (sleeps 2). There's additional space in the master bedroom for a few blow up mattresses as well as in the living room. The cabin was built using real logs that were shipped in from the Mid-West that were specifically chosen for this project. The entire home is custom designed around these logs and the details of the home make the experience of staying here that much better.
Peaceful and calm. Your closest neighbor is far off into the distance. When you decide to venture out, the town is just 10 minutes up the road and there you can find some great places to eat and some great shops to explore.
  • Saverio's house was perfect. It easily accommodated our large group and provided plenty of space for us to relax, cook, and gather around the campfire. It was private, so we didn't have to worry about bothering the neighbors, and the views were absolutely stunning. We'd absolutely come back and stay here again at our next opportunity.

    Daniel2014-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house and the land are ideal for a family or friend gathering. The view is breath (URL HIDDEN) is the surrounding area. I'll defer to my fellow reviewers about more details. Saverio was readily available and easy to communicate with... much, much appreciated. I unreservedly recommend this home for a special get away.

    Lisa2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Saverio's cabin was fantastic. There was a ton of space, the environment was cozy, and it was the perfect place for a large group to relax, cook and make merry. No complaints whatsoever. Just note that the driveway leading to the cabin can get very icy during the winter and it's best not to take anything but a 4WD vehicle down it (Saverio very thoughtfully pointed this out to us before the trip). Saverio was also very gracious. My group accidentally left the cabin without having properly locked up, and while driving back to the city, we realized we still had the key with us. We immediately turned around and went back to lock the cabin and return the key. Saverio handled the situation in a calm and professional way, so many thanks to him for that.

    Andrew2014-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Saverio was incredibly responsive and a great host! I couldn't have asked for better information or a quicker response time when it came to booking. The home is amazing! I went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and we were all stunned by the home. The couches and beds were comfortable and the water was perfectly fine, despite being out in the woods. No sulfur smell! The home came with everything we'd need - towels, blankets, pillows, cookware in the kitchen, and an incredible view from the front deck.

    Jessica2015-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • A group of friends and I stayed at Saverio's cabin for NYE weekend and had an amazing time. The home and surrounding area were beautiful. Saverio was very responsive before and during our stay. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

    Laura2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as advertised. Absolutely fantastic. Spacious, clean, quiet, cozy etc. etc. Great host, with very detailed instructions and communications. We would certainly stay here again.

  • Perfect setting for a guys weekend; we chose this house due to (somewhat) close proximity to Cooperstown. House was clean, outside was quiet and scenic, everything we could have hoped for. Would recommend for large groups.

    Geoffrey2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin was everything that Saverio described in the listing. It provided the perfect mix of privacy and access to shopping. The place is just great, would stay again.

This stunning cabin is built with hand hewn local timber and reclaimed barn boards. With three bedrooms, a grand vaulted living room, stunning gardens, streams and ponds it's a great romantic escape for couples, friends or families.
Escape to Bryant's Brook, a beautiful, unique cabin that's surrounded by woods and completely secluded from all neighbors but easy to access all year round. Lovingly built with pegged, hand-hewn barn beams, rough-cut logs and wide-plank floors cut from the surrounding pine-covered mountains, this unique home is both rustic and utterly comfortable. Fully furnished with beautiful local antiques, two woodstoves, and an artesian well, but with a modern kitchen, digitally monitored central heat, it's the perfect place for a romantic ski trip or escape from the city for a couple, a big family or a group of friends. Curbed picked us as one of their "great forest retreats": http://ski.curbed.com/2016/6/8/11874364/catskills-vacation-rentals-summer The three main bedrooms are up a spiral staircase, but if someone has trouble with stairs there is a sunroom with its own woodstove off the kitchen that can be used as a fourth bedroom. Two bedrooms upstairs have double beds, and the third has two single beds and child's bed. The spacious living room has a woodstove that opens to function as a fireplace, a fieldstone hearth, and a picture window looking onto the pond. The french doors open onto one of the two back sun decks. Off the kitchen is a spacious covered front porch with a bbq grill. There is also a campfire by the edge of Bryant's Brook, which has a great swimming hole for summer. Another campfire is up by the edge of the woods. Surrounded by protected woods on all sides, the property includes an apple orchard for you to pick apples, an organic garden with vegetables, berries and herbs. There are two ponds connected by a spring that winds between them, and 2.5 acres of landscaped lawn and gardens. Kid friendly! There is a toddler bed, pack and play, potty, safety gate, high chair and a tree house... Dogs are welcome, there are two dog beds, and dogs can run off leash, we're surrounded by a beautiful old stone wall, woods and a stream - no nearby neighbors or other dogs. Please don't smoke inside. Just three miles from the picturesque village of Andes, which offers terrific antique shops and boutiques, its own museum, several galleries, outstanding restaurants, and live music. It's also only 20 minutes from Belleayre ski area, 30 from Plattekill, and 1 hour from Hunter. It's one hour and fifteen minutes from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, 40 minutes from Woodstock and New York City is a 2.5 hour drive.

  • Tim has a wonderful charming house. I traveled to attend a wedding in andes, n.y. this was so convenient. the grounds were beautiful. I would highly recommend this wonderful house to anyone travelling to this area.

    Shelley2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at Tim's magical place over a perfect fall holiday weekend. The cabin is the sort of place that you can find a quiet corner with that novel you've been intending to read and forget that time is passing. In our case, though, we spent most of our time outside enjoying the incredible beauty surrounding the cabin. The kids loved spotting frogs in the adjacent pond and skipping rocks across the bubbling creek that runs through the property. Nighttime was spent star-gazing and enjoying s'mores made over a campfire. We bumped into Tim briefly and he invited us to pick freely from the many apple trees on the property, which was a kind gesture. In summary, I can't think of a better place to spend a weekend reconnecting with nature (especially at fall!) and escaping the incessant chimes of new text messages. The kids already want to know when we're coming back.

    Blake2015-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Tim's home. The cabin is rustic and very inviting. All of the rooms are charming and very cozy. This is a great place to fully relax. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, and everything you need to cook for friends and loved ones. Also, the surrounding areas are just beautiful, it is Fall now and the trees are just unbelievable. Tim even has apple trees on the property which he allowed us to pick from. A great trip, fantastic hosts.

A cozy rustic one bedroom apartment in the Andes Connection building on the second floor with private balcony overlooking a delightful babbling brook. All the comforts of home with Ralph Lauren Queen bedding, full kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Staircase to second floor apartment. Private parking. Sleeps two.
Such a lovely warm cozy rustic space which is a one bedroom apartment. All the comforts of home! Also there is Internet and cable TV. Located on the second floor at the back of the building with staircase. Internet and cable TV.
There is a small town feeling about the town which is very charming. The town has a hotel, three eateries, general store with gas and art and gift shops. We have a hiking trail just outside of town on Cabin Hill Road with a historical train station that has been restored. A public pool is available during the summer months.
  • We had such a lovely stay at Carol-Ann's property! It was super clean and updated, and she even stocked the kitchen with a few snacks and staples for our convenience! There's a brook behind the building, and the sound is so soothing. I would highly recommend this property.

  • Carol-Ann's place was terrific. She was wonderful host. Great location and a very homey feel. Andes is very quaint and inviting town.

    Jim2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect space for my partner and I. Upon arrival, Carol-Ann met with us and gave us a tour of the apartment, which had bread, snacks, Keurigs of coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and even apple cider. We had wifi, clean bath mats, towels and bed sheets every week. We stayed for an entire month relaxing to the sound of the brook and grasshoppers singing, which helped tremendously with falling right to sleep. The town has a few restaurants, gas station, library and bars all within walking distance, as well as a bus stop on the corner. It's a 10 minute drive in either direction to larger towns (Delhi and Margaretville) where we did our grocery shopping. There are also beautiful hikes in the area. Carol-Ann was very friendly and quick in responding to us any time we wrote her. We can't wait to stay here again, as it was 100% what we needed.

  • Our stay in Andes was a wonderful experience in so many ways… Your airbnb was perfect, very clean and relaxing. Inside there was a spacious bathroom with shower, separate living area to watch TV away from the bedroom, enclosed porch of the kitchen to relax and enjoy the outside with no pesty bugs. The full kitchen had your basic utensils, with a Keurig coffee machine and toaster for fresh, local homemade bread that was waiting for us when we arrived! Outside there was a peaceful setting with Adirondack chairs to watch and listen to the babbling brook. Carol Ann was an amazing host and we will definitely consider going back next year.

Our second thipi set in our rolling valley, with beautiful views of the mountain, stream and pond, nestled right next to a small apple orchard. Thipi booking includes a wood burning stove and outhouse, outdoor shower (turned off during winter) and use of our wood fired cedar hot tub (UPON REQUEST, 24-48 hour advance request please.
Send a message and reach out :) Welcome to Mystic Lodge's Mothership Thipi. Our second thipi on our 5 acre property located in what guests describe as a magical valley, with rolling hills, a stream and small pond. We are one mile outside of the oh so charming town of Bovina, NY, a short walk and very short drive to town. The Mothership is a 20ft. diameter Thipi, very spacious, super cozy and inviting. Set near a small apple orchard for late summer and fall enjoyment! Also each Thipi has an outdoor fire ring for bonfires, roasting marshmallows, cooking upon, etc. A full bed with all of the linens, locally produced wool blankets, rugs, decor, wood burning stove and amenities one would come to expect from Mystic Lodge. Such as: towels, drinking water, candles, headlamp, matches and lighter, mexico blankets for picnics, a picnic basket with cutlery, plates, etc. Our hand built outhouse is available as the primary bathroom for guests, as well as an outdoor shower (with Hot water), though the shower is turned off in below freezing temperatures. Again we require 24-48 hour notice if you would like us to prepare the hot tub for you.
  • To be honest, a little part of me wants to leave a negative review. But only because this experience was so magically, I selfishly want to help keep it a secret! Four of us stayed at the Mothership in one of the coldest nights I've ever camped in outdoors (low of 20 degrees). Even with the frigid air, our stay was incredible! The way Chris has landscaped the property is breathtaking and creates a beautiful sense of isolation. The thipi was cold at night, but it was 20 degrees so it's understandable. But the wood stove insides helps and it's fun to just huddle around the fire. We all brought a sleeping bag, so we were The hot tub is definitely a must! It can comfortably fit 3, and 4 might be a little tight. Since it was so cold, it took a while for the tub to get up to the right temperature.. about midnight for us. We were very hesitant to strip down and get in, especially after we would get out, but it was an unforgettable experience! And on the way back to the thipi, we weren't cold at all! I walked back with just a fall jacket and my swim shorts and was oddly very toasty.

    David2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Magical and mystical. Even more perfect than I expected. I came with my two little girls for a little adventure in the upstate wilderness and the thipi life didn't disappoint. Chris and Lisa are warm beyond measure reflecting the perfect country life as stewards of the land who graciously share their slice of heaven. My Girls and I painted watercolors creekside. We had a picnic for dinner next to the fire pit. I brought my outdoor speaker and we had a dance party around the fire as the sunset and the stars came out in the night sky. Wrapped in Mexican blankets, we sat fireside cuddled together loving the simple moment away from the bustle of city life. We lit candles in the thipi and settled in for the night. We spent our time on the property enjoying the hot tub and the company. I can't wait to be back. The experience is forever etched in my Mind and thankfully captured in photos.

    Kimberly2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Lisa were the most incredible hosts. So accommodating and caring. The location is stunning and the teepee was magical. We had an incredible time! Also make sure to go to Brushland Eating House and Russel's General store down the street. We will be back!

  • We were looking for a place to disconnect from the city and reconnect to nature and to ourselves - we couldn't have found a better place! Chris and Lisa's place is truly magical and they are simply a delight to be around. The cedar hot tub has the best view and makes your skin smell amazing :) the tipi is super comfortable and clean, just as the bathroom and outdoor shower. Chris and Lisa did everything to help and make our stay perfect. I can't wait to be back!

    Luisa2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, our 9 years old & I had a wonderful stay at the Mystic Lodge in Bovina Center. Chris & Lisa are exceptional hosts and did everything for us to feel at our best. Despite the fact that it was cold, around 30° F, and that the field was covered by 5 to 10 inches of snow, we felt very comfortable inside the thipi, sizzling at the heat of the cast iron stove. Chris was always here to restock us with wood; Lisa to perfect our comfort. Both of them are extremely nice people and we spent some great time discussing and sharing. The cedar wood fire hot tub was beyond top! There are some interesting hikes, rivers, ponds around as well as very good restaurants. We will certainly come back and I would totally recommend the place for individuals/friends/families who want to escape the madness of New York City. There's a world out there, at 3 hours driving, and it's called the Mystic Lodge at Bovina! Chris, Lisa and their kitties: Panther, Lili & Sweet Meow Meow will be there to welcome you with open arms.

    Edouard2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly one of the most incredible experiences we've had. Chris and Lisa are amazing hosts and so was their pet cat, Panther. Although stayed there for only 1 night, been having withdrawal ever since! Already trying to plan our next trip. Definitely recommend!

  • Sharisse and Daniella's victorian farmhouse was an outstanding place to stay! If you are looking for a quiet retreat away from a busy schedule, don't hesitate to come with your family or a few friends. There are 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms, and each one is unique. They've done an amazing at their interior decoration of the farmhouse, everything from rustic to modern to hip. Communication with them was easy leading up to the stay and if we needed anything during the stay (which we didn't), we were confident there would be a quick response. The drinking water on the property is awesome as they have a natural spring that comes from their property. Add the open kitchen, nice living room space, grill, firepit and you have the perfect vacation house!

    sammy2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful experience at Sharisse and Daniella's home. From the beginning, they were so quick to respond and answer any questions. Upon arrival, everything went smoothly, and they even texted to make sure everything was alright. Their home is beautiful and incredibly cozy. It's on a beautiful piece of property, just 15 minutes away from a cute little town called Andes. If the opportunity ever arose, we would absolutely go back!

    Alexandra2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house is absolutely stunning from top to bottom. Beautifully decorated. Very comfortable accommodations, immaculate rooms. Everything we needed was either available or very easily attainable. The hosts are two of my favorite people in the world. I fell in love with the Catskills. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone, and would love to visit again.

    Brenda2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This house is wonderful. We were in the area for a wedding at Wayside Cider and the house was the perfect location (only about 10-15 minutes away). The house is so roomy, and the best combination of old charm and new amenities. Oh man, those showers were such a treat! The hosts were so easy to work with and so quick to communicate whenever I had a question. My only regret was that I was kinda busy with the wedding while I was there and didn't get to spend MORE time in the house! (Don't tell the bride I said that!) Thank you so much and I'm already trying to come up with an excuse to come back and visit!

    Ursula2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sharisse and Daniella's house was the perfect nature escape. We went there for a girls weekend and enjoy every little details about it. The big open space downstairs with the nice fire stove which keep us comfy and warm, the fire pit outside for good stories around a glass of wine and espresso martini but also the nicest bedrooms and their so comfy beds. We all recommend that place 1000%

  • The place is exactly as in the pictures-gorgeous! The location is very secluded, which was exactly what we wanted. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything and anything we needed. There was even a welcome basket with quite a few things that could only tell how thoughtful the hosts are: bubbles for the kids, treats for our little fur friend, etc. Honestly, I could write on and on and on, that's how much we enjoyed everything. Huge thanks to Daniella and Sharisse!!! They are future super hosts, I am sure! They surely went above and beyond to make our stay memorable!!! We will be back!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
