This 3 bedroom property offers dramatic views along three historic Highland Glens. Sit beside a roaring fire, enjoy a malt whisky and convivial conversation. Offer: x1 Double Room or x1 Twin room (with two single beds) - Simple Breakfast included. Let me know which room type suits you. Located on the A822 ( Connecting to the A9) with extensive private parking.
We have a double Guest Bedroom ( Double) , x1 twin room ( x2 beds)( not mentioned on the booking). Other spaces also exist by arrangement
Our area is unique as there is so much history within the landscape. Glen Quaich was 'cleared' - the people forcefully moved of their land to make way for sheep in the 18th Century. Many were given no option but to go the Canada and begin a new life there. Amulree ( in its position at the apex of three meeting glens) was also the gathering place for the 1715 Jacobite uprising. As well as being a place of pilgrimage for early Christians on the St Columbas way. Between St Mary's Abbey on Iona and St Andrews There are plenty of walks and cycle routes ( for all ages and capacities), and nearby there are a host of castles, distillieries, outdoor activities, restuarants, Bars and music venues. I will issue you a map and 'things to do' pamphlet on arrival. My dad is the castle manager at Menzies Castle and may by appointment arrange a tour of the castle ( one of the most haunted castles in Scotland) ;)
  • Fantastic location, great hospitality and wonderful conversation. And, amazing dinner on arrival! All of this, plus Craig's enthusiasm and knowledge of the area, make this place a great experience!

  • Very lovely place to stay in the middle of beautiful countryside. We had a great time in Amulree, Craig was very helpful with tips and historical knowledge about the region. I'd recommend to stay at the cottage and hope to go back myself.

  • We felt very comfortable with Craig. The room is comfortably furnished. Since there were no other guests we had the bathroom for ourselves. Craig is a very attentive and friendly host, his scrambled eggs excellent for breakfast. If we come back to this area, we will be happy to stop here again. The cottage is absolutely recommended!

  • Both host and place are outstanding!!! Best dinner I have had in a long time, with lively and interesting conversation to boot. Wonderful location, quiet place. Slept like a log in the huge comfy bed. And Craig is a source of local knowledge and fascinating personal experience. Absolute recommend!!!!

  • Nothing to complain about this stay, we recommend it 100% on all points. Craig was an amazing host. He gave us a unique tour of his castle (A tour of Castle Menzies by candlelight), preparing a delicious breakfast. He also always made our stay look like a real Scottish one. Thanks again for a memorable stay.

  • The height of hospitality, great breakfast

    John2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 4 nights with Craig and had a absolutely fantastic holiday. It was lovely and clean as well as nice and warm. The beds are comfy, and the breakfasts are also really good. His cooking is definitely worth trying, and the sticky toffee pudding doesn’t disappoint. He is a fantastic host, and he made us feel very welcome. His local suggestions definitely enhanced our stay. The cottage is situated perfectly if you want to get into the countryside. There are some lovely walks close by & it was a great place to get straight into some wonderful bike routes. Peace and quiet everywhere. Craig really does go the extra mile for you, and more. He was kind enough to organise a tour by candle light of nearby Castle Menzies via the castle manager. The castle is administered by the Menzies charitable trust who are instrumental in the restoration of the castle. It was really good experience and really atmospheric by candle light. We thoroughly recommends staying here. You won’t be disappointed. We shall definitely be back.

  • From the Loch Lomond to the road to Loch Ness and Inverness, a break in the middle is booked. Because of the self-driving, the booked B&B is not in the city. I thought it would be quite remote, but it gave us a very different stay experience. The landlord Craig is an authentic Scotsman with a strong Scottish tradition, just like living in a Scottish native. Although I missed an authentic Scottish dinner, we enjoyed a standard Chinese dinner with the landlord, hoping that he also liked it. The landlord Craig was very talkative. Although it was difficult to communicate because of language, we had a pleasant evening by translating software, sitting by the burning fireplace, drinking red wine and whiskey. The dinner prepared by Craig was delicious, and I also prepared a kilt to take a photo with us. I hope that next time I will have the opportunity to bring friends to experience the candlelight dinner of the castle.

  • Craig is a wonderful host. His hospitality had made our stay both comfortable and enjoyable. His immense knowledge about the surrounding area had perfected our trip. His sharings on routes to be taken and places to visit had brought us to beautiful places that would live in our hearts for a long time whereas his sharings on the historical background of the area had helped us to admire the area even more. Amulree is a tranquil and peaceful place with only five houses. The experience of living in such a quiet farmland itself is an amazing experience. Better still it's just half an hour away from Pitlochry town and the sceneries from Amulree to Loch Tay cutting across a glen was simply breathtaking.

    Wei See2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Craig is a very helpful and friendly host. The place is clean and have use of a kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The place is not far from Aberfeldy, Perth and Crief.. It's a great place to stay. I do highly recommend it.

    Jonathan2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Craig was an amazing host. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history (local and otherwise) of Scotland. Craig also organised a private tour at Castle Menzies on behalf of Menzies Charitable Trust for us and which we explored at night. The tour was unique in that it focused on the lifestyles and history of the people that resided there over the centuries as well as the way life would have been for the workers and village people. All of the recommendations, from dinner, to where to explore in the region made our stay highly enjoyable.

  • Laura was a great host. She replied to our request within minutes and provided accurate directions to get to her home. The bothy was warm and quaint! There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and all utensils and amenities included. The cottage was sparkling clean and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. A wonderful country retreat if you're looking to get away from the big smoke for the night. Would highly recommend to all!

Stella is a 1973 Airstream. Your Hosts Niki and Nir have lovingly restored her bringing her in to the 21st century. Situated in their organic gardens, but tucked away from the main house. Located in the stunning countryside of Highland Perthshire with an abundance of outdoor pursuits on your doorstep to enjoy. Or you might just like to wind the days away relaxing in the hot-tub chilling out.
Offering all the best of Scotland, there is something for all ages and interests here whether you seek adventure, cultural stimulation, wildlife, or well-being. The nearest town Aberfeldy is Scotland's first Fairtrade town and retailers and attractions throughout the area do their best to promote Fairtrade, organic and environmentally friendly products. Just six miles west of the town, Loch Tay is the largest loch in Perthshire, framed by majestic mountains and hillside farms and cottages. As well as being the popular playground of sailors and watersports enthusiasts. Nearby to the north, Glen Lyon is often described as the longest, and loveliest glen in Scotland, and has a wonderfully mystical atmosphere.
  • Amazing place to stay. Great escape from the grind with stunning views and wonderful facilities

    Jamie2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! Beautiful location and the hottub was amazing!

    Allana2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful little place. Easy to find and the interior of the Airstream was even nicer and more spacious than the pictures suggest. The hot tub was warm on arrival and the outside area has a lovely vibe to it. Only a 5 minute drive to Aberfeldy where there are some nice cafes and a shop. I cannot recommend enough.

    Jordan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stella is a perfect getaway for anyone who wants to step away from a busier Scottish city. It has all the wee things that you’d like in an Airbnb but has a massive selling point in a hot tub with a beautiful view of Scottish hills.

    Calum2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place and space to escape from the world for a few days or longer. Stella has been restored to a new found glory and is full of all the modern facilities and equipment to make the stay feel like a home from home. The bed is such a comfortable and cosy place to retreat to after a relaxing hour in the hottub. The area surrounding Stella is remote and peaceful, yet the town nearby is only a walk or drive away. The highlight for us, was whilst out walking in the woods behind Stella we encountered the wild deer that roam the countryside.

    Steven2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a perfect weekend in Stella, and would of happily stayed longer. We never actually met our hosts Niki and Nir but the communication before and during our stay was impeccable. Stella is a beautiful gem and we have already looking at a return trip. Storm Dennis did force us to change our plans but Stella keep us in luxurious comfort. Thank you for having us

    Sam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, hot tub is lovely and spectacular views. Will definitely be back.

    Tracy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t thank you enough for such an amazing stay. From the photos we already knew it was exactly what we were looking for for a quiet, relaxing few days away. Everything was absolutely spotless and very well presented and the hot tub was just superb. There was everything we needed and more - cosy blankets, a great little coffee machine, the kitchen cupboards and drawers were so well stocked with everything we needed as well. Excellent communication and directions and also info about local walks and amenities. Can’t thank you enough and would highly recommend for anyone looking for some peace and quiet and to get away to relax, or anyone who loves to be close to amazing scenery and walks. Thank you again! Sit beside a roaring fire, and enjoy a malt and the simple things in life. If you like walking, cycling, driving, meandering, shooting, photography or writing and are looking for contemplation, laughter, adventure and escape OR just simply need a base for a unique and highly personalised experience in highland Scotland this venue is for you :)
The space is neat, tidy and warm. You have the use of the kitchen and the use of a dinning and lounge area which has a fully functioning open fireplace. Please note; that we also have a secondary lounge which is large - enough to hold a small party or sleep people in sleeping bags with its own WC.
There are amazing walks/ runs/ cycle routes around the area, as well as Quad biking, white water rafting, highland castle tours, and talks on whisky and Scottish history. Castle Menzies also does paranormal investigation tours - if your interested I can contact my father who runs Menzies Castle and see when the next tour will be coming up. This is a new add - I will add more later. Feel free to contact me with any specific queries. We will of course be happy to make some recommendations to enhance your time with us :)
  • We had a great time bringing in the bells at Amulree cottage. Craig was an excellent host, very accommodating and always had plenty of local tips to improve our time in the area. The cottage itself is in a fantastic location and is well equipped. Thanks!

  • A nice place in the small hamlet of Amulree. It is located between Aberfeldy, Dunkeld and Crief and walks can be made from home. A house with lots of space and also cozy. The host Craig is very helpful and very friendly.

    Andre2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • A gem of a renovated cottage in an outstandingly beautiful setting. Walks, birds, and brooks.

    Kevan2019-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in a beautiful location - warm and welcoming with a big kitchen and living room. Craig is very helpful and responsive with lots of good suggestions.

    Margaret2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • We spent New Year 2018 here and were very comfortable in Craig’s cottage. This is a very well located cottage with stunning views all around. There are some great walks, the kids especially liked crunching in the frost and breaking ice puddles! The cottage is well equipped and was lovely and warm with 24 hr heating (which is not always the case in rentals). Craig was very welcoming and was there to greet us, dram in hand. I was also appreciative of his accommodating our early check in request. And when my sister left her rings behind he posted them back to her and refused to accept payment for the postage. So overall a very generous and thoughtful host.

    Hannah2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic house in one of my favourite areas of central Scotland. Craig is charming and endlessly helpful, highly recommended.

    Will2018-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a wonderful Christmas in Amulree. Our host will take care of the Christmas atmosphere by lovely decorations in the cottage, including a real and fragrant Christmas Tree. Inside the house was very warm and cosy, especially in the living room with a fireplace, large wooden bench and comfortable couches. The cottage is clean and very spacious, has a separate dining room and is able to accommodate a large family. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary things to prepare food, and dining accessories to eat and drink - especially whisky tasting glasses are very useful is Scotland ;). Outside the house, you will find a wonderful mountain landscape. Craig gave us a lot of helpful tips about trips and walks nearby. Especially, we recommend to all enthusiasts of running - morning jogging trip to the ruins by the lake to see th sunrise on the glens - simply stunning! Really recommended and we will surely back to Amulree again!

    Michal2018-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Craig’s cottage this weekend and wow!! Craig couldn’t do enough for you and was super polite. You can tell he clearly takes provide in his cottage. The cottage is beautiful and well appointed. The log burner is well worth having on as it gets cold on an night when the heating goes off although there are some little electric heaters. I can’t explain how much we enjoyed our stay!!!! We’ll definitely be back!!

  • It is a nice space, Dina arranged an extra mattress for my 6 year old son and he slept great! :) Everything was very clean, sheets and bedding very fresh. Dina left some milk and bread in the refrigerator and also some fresh fruit, yoghurt and granola. Cereals for the kids, cookies and snacks. Coffees and teas available. So we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Great stay! Great value for money! Thanks Dina!

We have good bus links to Perth UHI and to the city of Perth. We are a 5 minute walk from a 24hr Tescos, Dobbies garden centre and Huntingtower Castle. We are about an hour away from Edinburgh and Glasgow and two hours from Inverness, so ideal for commuting. The house is just on the edge of Perth with good access to the motorways and within a very short time you can be in the country side. There is plenty of parking space at the house. It is a 20 min walk to the college from the house
Our home is situated in the countryside, surrounded by fields and sometimes sheep, and we can see Huntingtower Castle from our garden. The castle is only a two minute walk away. Even though we are in the country we are only a five minute walk from the Glover Arms restaurant, a 20 minute walk to Huntingtower Hotel, St Johnstone football stadium is a five /ten minute walk as is our 24 hour Tesco. There is plenty space to relax around the house and in the garden if you so wish and you can self cater if you do not want to eat out.
We like where we live very much as it feels like you are in the country but at the same time you can be in Perth in minutes.
  • This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! The room was gorgeous, comfortable and clean! Jane is so lovely and helped with transportation and tips on where to go in Perth. There were also snacks in the room and great options for breakfast. Thank you for an amazing stay! I hope to come again!

    Rothery2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • 100% recommend. Jane has both a warm home and a warm heart. The room was impressively clean containing more than enough basic necessities - from extra toothbrushes to a handsewing toolkit to a kettle with tea bags and milk all in the room! The house itself is situated not far from a 24/7 Tesco for easily accessible shopping and it is also not far from areas ideal for walks. To say I enjoyed staying at Jane's would be an understatement. Jane is very lovely to talk to. It was a wonderful experience for me and I have no hesitation recommending this really fantastic place.

  • Very welcoming! Made me feel like home.

    Maria2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely outstanding hospitality in a beautiful home. Jane's house is in a great location, very close to the centre of Perth, but it feels like you're in the countryside. I was only stopping over for one night to break up a long journey north, but I think it would be perfect for longer stays too. I arrived in the dark and was very pleasantly surprised in the morning to see that it's a stone's throw from Huntingtower Castle, a very impressive 16th century castle. I couldn't resist going for a look inside - it's well worth a visit. Jane is a fantastic host who really understands what hospitality means, and makes you feel at home right away. The room was lovely, with so many thoughtful touches, including a generous selection of snacks. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a log! Very highly recommended.

St Abbs is in a really good situation, easy walking distance from railway station and bus stop. It's just around the corner from the renowned Birnam Arts Centre and Beatrix Potter exhibition and garden. There's a good choice of nice eating places close by. I live in the house also, though sometimes I am away. Guests are free to access the living room where there is a log fire- there's a piano and guitars which are there to be played! There is parking in the driveway or on the street.
There are 3 steps to the front door, and the bedroom is upstairs. This accommodation is best suited to 2 people or a single guest, however can accommodate a baby in same room if this is required. A cot is available. The bedroom is next to the shared bathroom. There are books, a selection of maps, tea and coffee making facilities, etc, in the bedroom. If guests want to make a light meal or packed lunch the kitchen is available on request. There's seating in the garden and guests are welcome to sit out and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine there. It's a peaceful area and quiet at night.
Birnam is a lovely village and Dunkeld is just a short walk away. There are lots of fantastic walks and cycle runs from the house. You don't even need to get into the car. There's a network of footpaths. The Hermitage is nearby, and many other tourist attractions, including Dunkeld Cathedral, Birnam Arts Centre, Beatrix Potter garden and exhibition, Taybank Hotel. The Aran bakery of Great British Bake Off fame is a delicious side track. There's a good deli and plenty of eating places. The beautiful River Tay is minutes from the house and the footpath from there will take you by the Birnam Oak along to the impressive Telford's bridge and across it to Dunkeld. Birnam is a great base to explore further afield. It's on the main rail and bus routes line and so a day return ticket will see you comfortably in Inverness, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Some guests stay for more than a night and are glad they did. Many guests wish they'd booked for longer. However long you stay I'm confident that you'll love what this area has to offer and be glad you chose to visit.
  • Karen is a wonderful host, and her home is very nice. It is conveniently located near the station, conference centre, and town. It was quiet and comfortable at night, and Karen was so thoughtful to prepare some breakfast as well. She was quick to reply to my messages and very welcoming and kind. I would highly recommend staying with her!

  • Karen runs the best AirBNB that I have stayed at - near to the railway station and convenient for work - and in beautiful surroundings. She is very thoughtful and the breakfast is much appreciated.

  • I absolutely loved my stay at Karen's place. She was warm, friendly and always open to have a good conversation! Not to mention the room and her home were clean and neat. The house is a very short walk from the train station and within easy walkibg distance of both Birnam and Little Dunkeld. Wish i had had time to stay longer and would recommend it to anyone travelling to the area!

A cosy single room with plenty of light. Solid wood floor & tv. Window looks out onto secluded garden- lots of wildlife! Perfect for solo travellers who want to enjoy the beautiful woods, hills and lochs right on our doorstep. Pitlochry Festival Theatre is just a 10 minute walk away. And of course there’s The Enchanted Forest event every autumn which is always spectacular. We are situated about half way between Edinburgh & Inverness and Glasgow & Inverness so we’re the perfect stop off point!
A quirky 1920s cottage in the heart of Pitlochry. Guests are welcome to use the large dining kitchen and both sitting rooms. There’s also a large secluded garden surrounding the house and a decking area with seats.
Pitlochry is surrounded by the most stunning scenery. Hills and rivers galore! The little town had many lovely cafes. There’s a visitors’ centre at the Dam and of course Pitlochry Festival Theatre which has a season of six plays from May till October.
  • Such a lovely warm welcome into a lovely family home - after a long walk, it was just what I needed, along with a cup of tea. Both Deirdre & Greg are great hosts & the dogs are lovely too - the place is quiet & clean & the location is great & I would highly recommend - I had the best nights sleep!

    Kath2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and cosy, very relaxing place to stay. Deirdre is the perfect host - nothing was too much trouble. And I had The Best night’s sleep!

    Caroline2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend Deirdre's place highly enough. It's a great wee place for a single person to stay and enjoy the delights of Pitlochry, especially if you love the theatre, as both Deirdre and Greg are theatrical folk. The room is spacious and comfortable, breakfast is help yourself and simple, and you feel as if you're at home. They have two beautiful, friendly dogs who are very welcoming - I was sorry that I only stayed one night!

    Linda2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • A good stop in between Edinburgh and Inverness. Deirdre's place is lovely & quite - 15 mins walking from Pitlochry station. For those who carrying a medium/large luggage you may need extra effort as the road is a bit steep. Checked in was smooth, even they let me checked in early. I really had a wonderful stay at Deirdre's place - especially with 2 cute dogs. Thanks Deirdre & Greg! Definitely would come back.

    Stefani2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Everything in Pitlochry is near although I was bringing lots of stuff getting here which was quite challenging. The room was cozy and perfect. Sparkling clean and has a great touch. Felt I was just at home. To add, the bed was fabulous. Very comfy and had a good sleep.

    Thelane Jeal2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cosy room in a beautiful cottage home. Felt very relaxed and nice to chat with Deirdre. Lovely to be able to use kitchen facilities and have breakfast. Will definitely use again if looking for a night away in Pitlochry!

    Alison2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay for a quick trip to Pitlochry. Lovely host and very cute dogs!

Traditional Scottish country cottage situated near the beautiful Highland Perthshire village of Strathtay. The cottage sits in an elevated, secluded spot above the River Tay, just off National Cycle Route 7. We have three spacious bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with two single beds. Our games room has a table tennis table and a selection of games. In our spacious garden you'll find a lovely outdoor dining area and a wood-fired hot tub! We love it there and hope you will too.
The cottage is nestled in a secluded, wooded area near the glorious River Tay. We're so pleased to be able to share it with you. OUTSIDE you'll find plenty of space to park three cars and a garage where you can store your bicycles. There's a large garden with plenty of room for sunbathing (though please remember it's Scotland!). The landscaped outdoor dining area is the perfect place to dine al fresco, and once you've had dinner and done the dishes, what could be more relaxing than our wonderful wood-fired hot tub? The hot tub is totally guest-controlled - but don't worry, you'll be given all the instructions you require. In spring/summer/autumn it will be pre-filled for you to fire up and enjoy at your leisure. In winter (November to March), you'll have to fill it before you fire up, but it'll be worth the wait as you lie back and gaze up into those clear and cold winter skies! INSIDE the cottage, you're greeted by a large porch with a bench that's just perfect for taking off your hiking boots after a day in the hills. You then come in to the tastefully decorated dining room, with a huge dining table which seats up to ten people. The kitchen is well-stocked, with a double oven and grill, induction hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, digital radio and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils you should need. From the kitchen there's access to the back garden and also a small WC. Coming through to the main part of the house, an airy hall leads to a downstairs bedroom and living room on the ground floor. The living room is cosy and is kitted out with two large sofas. The TV is internet-ready (Netflix available for guest use) and has a (limited) selection of Freeview channels. The centrepiece is a wood-burning stove (logs provided), perfect for quiet nights in watching a film or playing games. The downstairs bedroom (blue) has a king-size bed, beautiful antique wardrobe and a handy dressing table with mirror. Upstairs, you'll find the bathroom, a shower room, two bedrooms and the games room. The bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet. The shower has great pressure and will hopefully invigorate you for the day ahead. There's also a further separate shower room with an excellent electric shower. The games room has a table tennis table, perfect for a family tournament! There's also a selection of board games here to enjoy, including family favourites such as Trivial Pursuit, Linkee and Pictionary. When not playing table tennis, you can relax on the sofa and watch some TV - use the Google Home App to connect to the TV and watch content. There's also a Nintendo Switch with Zelda and Super Mario games. The second bedroom (cream) has another king-size bed, a cupboard for your clothes and a beautiful vintage dressing table and wall mirror. You'll also find a cot here, and a full length mirror to check you're looking your best! The last bedroom (purple) has two single beds, a cute vintage chest of drawers and another full-length mirror with hanging rail.
The cottage is situated on the northern side of the River Tay, on National Cycle Route 7. Distances to nearby places and attractions are as follows: * 2km to the picturesque village of Strathtay, which has a village store and post office * 2.4km to beautiful Grandtully, where you'll find the excellent Inn on the Tay, The Grandtully Hotel, the Highland Chocolatier and Coffee Shop and Grandtully rapids * 7.4km to the lovely town of Aberfeldy, where you'll find the fantastic Birks Cinema, a Co-op Supermarket and many restaurants, pubs and bars * 17.5km to the historic resort town of Pitlochry, with its mainline railway station, quaint shops, restaurants and bars The local area is perfect for a multitude of outdoor activities, such as hillwalking (there are a number of munros within easy driving distance, including big-hitters Schiehallion and Ben Lawers), canoeing/kayaking on the River Tay and cycling on National Cycle Route 7 and other beautiful minor roads in the area.
  • We could not have asked for a better, more interesting, comfortable and stylish place to stay. Richard was so helpful right from the off and we just loved the setting and the area. The house had everything we needed and more. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed staying there.

    Jill2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. We absolutely loved our stay and Richard was a great host. The hot tub was the perfect addition to the cold frosty February nights. The house and garden were also perfect for our two boisterous dogs who loved to play and chase the hares and pheasants then curl up in front of the wood burning stove. Perfect. Exactly what we needed.

  • Laigh of Cloichfoddich was one of our favourite holiday cottages so far. Richard has thought of everything. It’s something of a cliché to say somewhere is a ‘home away from home’ but the cottage was definitely that. We felt so relaxed and comfortable in the cottage. Chilling out ont he hot tub whilst it snowed was amazing. We will definitely be back and will bring another couple with us next time. Thanks again, Laura and Cameron

The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed, it was lovely to get the woodburner going in the evening after a day exploring. The area has a lot to offer, Dunkeld is lovely and Pitlochry a short drive away. Beautiful scenery all around.

  • Having stayed at Rock Cottage previously we were very excited to go back. The cottage is wonderful, well equipped and we loved being able to have a cosy fire to keep us warm in the evenings. The surrounding area is beautiful, just a stone's throw from the hermitage and lovely walks. We absolutely love this place!

  • Rock Cottage is an incredibly peaceful, relaxing and comfortable place to stay in a great location. The kitchen is big and really well equipped, with lots of extras like spices and oil and even local eggs. The lounge is cosy and homely, the bed is really comfy. Kathryn is very welcoming and lives next door so is on hand if you need her. A bench outside is a perfect spot for a morning cuppa looking at the view. The cottage is quiet and feels away from it all yet is a short drive to Dunkeld and the whole area is just full of stunning scenery, beautiful places to walk or just to stop and look at the view, the colours in autumn are breathtaking. I cant wait to come again !

  • Castle Rock was lovely! Kathryn was an absolutely wonderful host. Anything you need (from blankets, towels, cooking utensils & spices, teas, etc.) she has ready for you! And she was just next door so if we ever needed anything we could just knock on her door. We had an awesome weekend with our dog. The cottage was perfect size for all 3 of us, impeccably clean, the enclosed garden is large and safe, the views are beautiful, and there were fantastic walks just down the road. Perfect location and so peaceful. Just the weekend we needed to recharge our batteries away from the city and get ready for Fall. Highly recommend!

Guests say: “Comfiest bed ever !” “Wish we’d stayed longer!” A few minutes walk from a lovely bar/restaurant and Castle Menzies, the Still is a detached, beautifully renovated historical cottage in a hamlet by Aberfeldy. A well-furnished, spotless space to enjoy ( no added cleaning fee.) Come for a rest, the outdoors, tourist must-do’s, etc! Easy self catering, local restaurants and shops, local stunning scenery. 5-star host: Bec is v helpful when needed, but guests enjoy uninterrupted peace!
Centuries ago the Old Whisky Still produced whisky, legally or otherwise, for guests and locals. It had been a ruin for decades before its renovation in 2018. The thick walls and stone work give it a cosy and traditional feel, but the open plan layout and vaulted ceiling lend a lovely sense of space. Relax, take walks by the River Tay, Moness Falls or Weem Woods all on your doorstep, then settle down by the wood burning stove in this unique space!
Photos of this beautiful part of Scotland rarely do it justice! Aberfeldy is a thriving Highland town, six miles from Loch Tay, with fantastic community spirit and national award-winning tourist attractions and businesses. These include Dewar's Distillery, bookshops and art galleries, great coffee shops, Castle visits, land rover safaris and boat trips. There's an Art Deco cinema, a community library and excellent sports centre, and much more! The area is famous for outdoor pursuits including canoeing and rafting, hillwalking and fishing, and sporting events take place every year such as cycling and triathlon. The area is also a great favourite for walkers and artists. Guests always enthuse about their stay in this wonderful area, and very often, they make a return visit! This is a beautiful area in its own quiet valley, but also so central , in the heart of Scotland, and equidistant from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, as well as Fort William on the west coast, St Andrews on the east.
  • Beautifully clean , quiet and welcoming.

  • Bec’s place is even better than it looks in the photos. It was spotless throughout and tastefully decorated. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Location is great too and Bec recommended some local attractions, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to come back again to explore the area a bit more.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Bec’s place. She was very thoughtful and kept us in touch with emerging road closures due to flooding on our way to the place. Her place is spotless and a beautifully cosy little space. A lovely space to spend time, and a lovely area to explore. The nearby Watermill bookshop in Aberfeldy is a particular favourite.

  • Thank you to Bec for the most amazing stay at the Old a Whisky Still! We had such a relaxing time in the beautiful Still but also had plenty of things that we could have done. The cottage has been refitted to include a double size waterfall shower, king size bed and new gas heating system so can be enjoyed all year round. In fact, we love the hot tub in the snow! With several restaurants, bars and shops within easy reach by car, you may choose to eat out however if you prefer, our kitchen comes complete with everything you need to cook for yourselves with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and hob. We provide all towels, bathrobes and disposable slippers for your comfort during your stay. Off road parking for two cars provided on driveway. If you have any special requests or requirements, don't hesitate to get in touch
Kindallachan is a small hamlet with a burn (large stream) running alongside the cottage. It is in a rural location, as such we are visited by several wild animals including deer, rabbits, squirrels and many birds. There are no shops or restaurants in walking distance so you will need a car to get around, but both Pitlochry and Dunkeld are well served by both any only a short 10 minute drive away.
  • Oshnie cottage is the perfect spot to chill out, unwind and relax! We visited Joannas cottage and planned to take advantage of some of the beautiful walks near by... the weather had other plans though! So we explored nearby Pitlochry and Dunkeld, went for lunch and spent our evenings relaxing in the hot tub with cocktails - just bliss! The cottage is immaculate, cosy and has everything you need. Joanna was really helpful and we really appreciated all her personal touches! Have already recommended to friends and family!

  • Lovely little cottage, nice and clean, hotub really good, would recommend family and friends

    Allan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great couple of days, made good use of the hot tub and was good to see the decking was clean as previous experiences with wet, grimey decking have proven how slippery it can be. The personal touch was also nice, the welcome note, cookies and milk on arrival - shows effort and thought. Thanks again.

  • This little cottage is perfect for a getaway from everyone, very private. Hot tub was a lovely bonus, just perfect for us to get away to after the Christmas rush. 5 stars all round.

  • Lovely cottage in close proximity of Perth, Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. Has all the basic functions you can need for a leisurely or relaxing weekend away, hopefully next time we'll get use of the hottub! Joanna, the property owner was very friendly and communicated well throughout and was quick to answer a query we had after arrival, good stay :)

  • John is a great host with a lovely cosy but by no means small cottage, in a beautiful location. Hot tub, sauna, bikes, pool table, board games, play station etc all available and included. Huge enclosed and private garden right on the river Tay, great for the dog!

    Holly2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place; very spacious, amazing location, very tranquil and quiet. The kitchen was well kitted out with all the utensils etc for cooking. There were also lots of nice touches like, hand cream, shampoo and conditioner. Great place, would really recommend it.

  • John was a great host, we booked last minute as part of our honeymoon and John couldn’t have been more welcoming. The hot tub under the stars was an absolute highlight!

    Anna2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • This excellent cottage is in a perfect setting and it doesn’t matter the weather outside because the scenery is stunning. John is an excellent host, very accommodating and helpful. The cottage itself is lovely, cozy and has some perfect touches. It was very well set up for guests to have whatever they might need. I would recommend this property to anyone and I hope to get back again someday.

    Alan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful old "coorie" home. Had an amazing weekend in the hottub, sauna, and drinks around the fire pit. The land was stunning also and our dog loved running around the 4 acres

  • Really fantastic property. Had a very relaxing night away and John was very quick with communication and responses. Will definitely be back!

  • Fantastic trip, clean, cosy and the hot tub and sauna were AMAZING!

    Hannah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We visited in the Autumn and the house couldn’t have been cosier - especially the log fire, sauna and hot tub. The property is well located on the banks of a pretty river and there is ample opportunity to sit and enjoy the view from the large garden. We also enjoyed a restful night in the extremely comfortable bed. John ensured that every little detail had been thought of and, as a result, we felt very at home. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

  • What a lovely space and host! My second visit to Adeline’s place, and I’m sure I’ll stay again.

    Giles2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a super cozy, sparkling clean and welcoming home to relax (and have a multiple nature attracttions only a short drive away!), Adeline’s place is for you!

  • Second time we have stayed here and it’s such a lovely quiet getaway. 5/5 would love to come back again soon!

    Rosie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a place..... We loved it. Before arrival very clear instructions with Adeline. On arrival there were lovely touches. Prosecco, milk etc. The place is spotless and the fire was set up ready to go. It really is difficult to pull yourself away from here with the stunning views. We did walk to the pub/restaurant along the river which is a lovely 20 min walk. And on return the shower here is amazing. All in all thoroughly recommend. Lovely stay and would return in a heart beat.

    Scott2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Easily one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to. Brilliant space with great views of the surrounding countryside. Very comfortable apartment that feels like you’re in a really remote place (while still actually being very close to the local villages and tourist spots). Adeline was also a great host - even left some treats for us arriving (including champagne!). Will be back for sure.

    Dylan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute gem of a place. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect location for what we wanted to do. Loved the wee extra touches. Thanks again

    Sarah2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Communication with Adeline could not be any easier and straight forward. The place is a great hide-away: great views, quiet, but still close to Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. And even if the weather is bad (which it wasn't for us) the place is wonderfully warm and invites to spend a day just reading in front of the wonderful wood stove. The kitchen is very well equipped making cooking a pleasure. The area is great for hiking - and the great shower makes every exertion double worth it. I can fully recommend Adeline's place.

Feel welcome in this cosy Perthshire home. Your room offers you a memory foam mattress, wireless charging, clothes hanging rail and TV with an Amazon Fire stick. The lounge has a wood burner which you are welcome to enjoy with my loving dog, Rocky. The kitchen is modern and functional while the bathroom is spacious, as well as stylish. I'll provide enough for breakfast or you can pop across the road and pick up your supplies. Stanley has great access to Perth, or north up the A9.
Stanley is 15 minutes north of Perth, off the A9. It is 12 miles south of Dunkeld and 19 miles south of Pitlochry. It's a great stop off for any journey north or just a base to explore Perthshire from. The village is quiet and relaxed. There is a village store, Spar, Butcher and chemist on the same street. There's a pub nearby (2mins walk) if you fancy an evening beverage. The house is spacious with a wood burner, fully equipped kitchen and the bedroom is bright and comfortable. The photography displayed is my own. You're more than welcome to cook your evening meal in the kitchen or try the Tayside Hotel in the village. Relax in the bath and try out my organic hand wash with essential oils. The garden is a work in progress but offers a patio and space to enjoy some fresh air while you are here. My dog, Rocky is super friendly and welcomes you also.
Stanley is a charming village with the river Tay running past it. In fact Stanley village came to be because of the need for housing those who worked at the water mill. Maybe you'll visit the old water mill or enjoy the beauty of the Tay, while you are here. The Tay runs from Kenmore all the way to Dundee and is the biggest volume river in the UK. It was the river that drew me here but also the access to so many great walks. I host kayaking trips with full equipment from mid April until October on Loch Tay and soon to be Loch Achray.
  • Annie was very hospitable and friendly. Rocky was a super cool dog. The place was very warm and comfortable. Heavenly hosting 🙂

    Andy2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spotless lodge!! Breakfast was delightful. If going again I would make sure the dogs had a large walk as there isn’t anywhere to walk them as the field is full of sheep directly outside the lodge.

    Caroline2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is first class and is quirky but very comfortable and in a lovely rural location but a short drive from good local food and amenities, highly recommended

  • We flew into Edinburgh and needed a place to stay for one night before heading up to the highlands. This place is awesome - would definitely come here again. The hosts are very friendly, and brought us a delicious breakfast in the morning. If you do stay here make sure you eat at the Kirkstyle Inn in Dunning. It’s a very cosy friendly pub with great food.

    Graham2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay - so clean and cosy with a big spacious bathroom. Wonderful views and breakfast being delivered was a perfect touch. Our 7 month old german shepherd loved starting out the window over the fields - would definitely recommend and great value for money!

The shower products were especially nice and in the morning, Jane provided us with a yummy cooked breakfast. The view from the house was stunning and we would definitely stay with Jane again if we are visiting Pitlochry.

  • Hello Jane. Shelley & I had the best stay at your place. The room & en-suite was lovely with superb views. We had a wonderful sleep in your warm comfortable beds in a super spectacular quiet location. It was so good that we slept in! The breakfast was also excellent situated at a table with sensational views of the mountains. It was like hotel service! You are a fantastic host, really lovely & personable. If you are coming to Australia , come & stay with me. I mean it! Loved your farm. We had a great walk to the top in the mist but didn’t find your highland cattle, but did see all the other breeds of Sheep you mentioned. It was a good work out climbing those hills.! Would love to come back & would highly recommend your farm stay & you to anyone wanting all of the above that I’ve mentioned. Big hugs. Susan & Shelley.

Birnam Arts have an excellent diverse programme of events, cafe & Beatrix Potter exhibition.
  • Great place in a fab location. Well set up for outdoorsy people.

  • This place is a hidden gem , in particular for those travelling with dogs. The room was immaculate and easy to use. I arrived later than planned but the owner was understanding and left a key out for me. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I even slept in because the bed was so comfy- and that’s unusual for me!

  • Jessie Mac's is a very nice and intimate little hostel. The room was perfectly clean and equipped with everything you need. Super breakfast! Recommended

*Discounts for 4,5,6 & 7 night stays, contact us for details* Here at Croftness Bothy you can lap up the beautiful surroundings while still being able to walk into town for a meal, drink or a trip to the cinema. We are surrounded by stunning giant trees and open hill as well as a view down to the glen that's home to the river Tay. All of this you can enjoy from the private hot tub on the back patio. Croftness Bothy is ideal for anything from a romantic, lazy get away to an active outdoor trip.
Croftness Bothy is part of the old farm dating back to the 1860s and has been upgraded in early 2017. It has a generous ground floor, great kitchen, ground floor WC and a cosy living area with open fire. Upstairs the bedroom consists of king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The bedroom can be changed to a twin upon request. To the rear you have a private raised patio with stunning views over the giant trees by the 'Birks o Aberfeldy' and the Tay Valley. You can sit and enjoy the peaceful scenery from the garden furniture or from our newly installed 2 person hot tub.
Aberfeldy itself is a great rural town. We have lots of lovely cafes, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and even a community ran cinema! If you're after a more active stay Aberfeldy is ideal for pretty much any outdoor sport. You can find some of the best Munros on our door step as well as river rafting, climbing, biking, fishing, shooting, quad biking...the list goes on! From the Bothy itself you are under 1 mile from the centre of Aberfeldy . Please bring a torch in the winter months if you plan on walking into Aberfeldy. If you're in the mood to get away from it all there are beautiful walks from the Bothy so there's no need to even get in your car!
  • Stunning cottage in a beautiful setting. The hosts have everything covered for you for a brilliant break. Spotlessly clean and really warm cosy house. Oh and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Would return in a heartbeat.

    Darren2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Bothy, the cottage had everything you needed and is spotless. Enjoyed spending time looking at the beautiful scenery from the hot tub. There’s a log fire with a firewood store just outside. Short walk in to Aberfeldy if you fancy eating out or going to the pubs. Great spot for local walks and seems to be a short drive to local attractions. We’d love to come back!

    Francesca2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully renovated property, at the Birks of Aberfeldy. We used it as a base for walking and relaxing, but it's close enough Aberfeldy to get easy access to amenities. Well maintained and clean, comfy bed, relaxing hot tube; everything met or exceeded expectations. Would happily recommend to anyone.

    Alasdair2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • sparkling clean and modern home in a lovely quiet location just outside town. Hot tub was fabulous and made our stay very relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

    Fiona2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Superb modernised bothy with plenty of room and a stunning outlook over the Birks of Aberfeldy from the well kept hot tub. We loved it :)

    Douglas2019-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the bothy. The cottage was lovely especially the hot tub and Laura was a great host who was very quick to respond to any questions we had. All the little things were catered for and we had a great stay.

    Melanie2019-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy cottage in a great location by Aberfeldy. Very easy check in with safekey lock and great views from the hot tub! Thanks for a lovely stay, would recommend.

    Karin2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, my wife and 1 year old son stayed in the Bothy for a long weekend. This property was even nicer than we expected and had absolutely everything that we needed from local attractions explained in a folder, a kitchen full of every utensil that you would need which added to the self catering experience. The property itself is spacious and is really nicely decorated with a large bathroom and open fire in the living room. (Unlimited fire wood supplied) The views from the back of the property are brilliant and even more enjoyable when sitting in the hot tub with a beer! Thanks again.

Due to the weather we are now closed until the beginning of March. We are 2 miles up a gravel track, which is okay as long as you drive it steadily. Most standard cars are fine. But once you are up here you can share the beautiful walks and activities the chalet offers. There are stunning Munro's, waterfalls and lochs on the doorstep; visits to taste and see the finest whiskey being made; lots of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes to visit, or just stay, relax and enjoy the views.
Not only do you have your own chalet with two separate ensuite bedrooms, each with a double bed, but also a small but fully equipped kitchen, with hob, oven, small fridge and eating area for four. There is also a large sheltered patio with seating if you fancy eating outside. To the rear of the chalet is a terraced lawn offering great views over the valley. The chalet has its own gas central heating so you will be warm whatever the weather outside.
You will be adjacent to a working farm, so please observe the Countryside Code.
  • Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Peter and Suzanne's chalet. They were excellent hosts, the chalet was perfect and the views are stunning. Thanks for having us.

    Andrew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful sunrise views both mornings! Breakfast is provided which is a lovely touch. The road up to the chalet is a little rough but Peter provided us with great instructions. Beds were comfy & heating made the place really cosy!

  • Peters place is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lovely walks and is perfect for enjoying a weekend away exploring this area of Scotland. It is about a 15 minute drive from Aberfeldy and is approached via a steep uphill road/track. It’s very secluded and Peter is a brilliant host - providing local knowledge and tips.

  • My parents and I went on a road trip through Scotland and spent our first two nights at Peter's cottage, and let's just say it was the perfect start of our road trip. The location is great, super quite and perfect for relaxing - the view is amazing! Everything you'd need for a pleasant stay is provided. There are also a lot of walks and hikes nearby. The road was a bit bumpy, but totally manageable! Peter is a really nice host, who is there if you've got any questions and can give you good tips for the surrounding area, but also leaves you your privacy. We would definitely come back and then stay a bit longer ;).

Fairness Cottage lies in the valley of Strathearn which is an any of outstanding beauty.Comrie village is a gateway to highlands and also is a short drive away from Loch Lomond National Park.Within the village there is a good selection of shops including post office and bank and eating establishments to suit all palettes.
The surrounding area has some of the best countryside Scotland has to offer and locally there are a numerous walks for all abilities. For cyclists there are a range of trials and many opportunities for the keen angler- fishing is available on the local rivers and boat hire can be obtained at Loch Earn which is 3 miles away.Golf courses are in abundance in Perthshire with over 30 available including Comrie which is 9 holes and slightly further afield the world famous Gleneagles resort. The cottage also comes with its own garage complete with sink and washing machine and tumble drier. We also have a barbecue that can be used Al Fresco or inside the garage itself as roof voids are vented to allow smoke to escape (we supply the charcoal).
  • This was a fantastic cottage. It felt private and homely, and we have all left feeling relaxed, even Toby the dog! There were lovely thoughtful touches, such as a hamper on arrival. Lights and heating were left on, so we were cosy from the off-set. Ample parking and located away from the road so we heard nothing but pheasants all weekend. There is a walk behind the cottage down through the fields into Comrie, which we all enjoyed and was great for Toby. It is located close enough to pop into Crieff for any items from the co-op or to head to a local. The cottage itself is comfortable, clean and very homely. Liam was quick to respond to any messages. I'd definitely recommend this place if it's available!

  • Great cottage in a lovely area.

    Anne2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fairness cottage is so much more than we expected. Super easy to access the property but also very private and remote, just what we wanted. Liam is a fantastic host and responded to our messages straight away, we cannot thank him enough for this! - he was extremely helpful. The cottage has everything you could need, even a garage to store muddy boots or bikes. We were so pleased with the homeliness of the cottage and the special touches left for us like the basket of breakfast goodies and chocolates. The cooking facilities are brilliant and the kitchen has everything you need. The bedroom was so cosy and the bathroom was lovely, filled with fresh towels. The cottage was sparkling clean, the cleanest airbnb i’ve ever stayed in!! We loved having our breakfast by the window watching the pheasants and grouse roam around. Its only a short walk into Comrie village where we had lunch in the local deli and the drive into Crieff is only about 10 minutes - you’ll find lovely places to eat and a supermarket if you need it. We never got the chance to go hill walking as planned due to the stormy weather but now we have an excuse to come back and we cant wait!

    Hannah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you considering booking fairness cottage think no more. Both me, my husband and our dog have just returned from an amazing and relaxing couple of days in the cottage. It is large but cosy, well decorated with lots of little touches and nothing you could want for. An abundance of secure green space for the dog and the village is just a short distance away with a rs mccoll which is opened till 9pm, butchers, deli, coffee shop, 2 hotels and a pet shop. We also had grouse roaming about the garden and woke up one morning to 3 deer grazing in the field across the way. Liam was great to deal with and left you to enjoy your stay but would be on hand if you needed him. We will definitely be returning.

Fairness Cottage is an incredible place to stay. The quality, the quietness, the location are all second to none and Liam was a fantastic host, he couldn’t do enough for us. Answering our questions, providing information, anything that we needed he was only a text away. It was a perfect trip in a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of Scotland. Thanks very much Liam we’ll definitely be back....... keep up the great work 👏👏👏👏👏

  • Fairness cottage is one of the best places we have stayed. The pictures & reviews leave you with high expectations but when you arrive things are even better than you expected. The cottage is sparkling Clean & you have absolutely everything you could need to make your stay feel like home. The little hamper left for you is even nicer than you could imagine. The bed is super comfortable and the rooms are great sizes. We had a newborn baby with us and there was more than enough space for everything we needed. The kitchen is very well equipped as is the bathroom and it was great to come in to the place being cosy & warm. Liam is a great host to keep in touch with & there’s little tips left for things to do in the area. We managed to catch the Crieff Christmas light switch on & Xmas market. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Alixs' Bothy is a charming, thoughtfully renovated estate Bothy, suitable for 2, with an option for a third guest/child. Located in the grounds of Auchnafree Estate, it's the perfect, intimate getaway. The location is also ideal for outdoor activities; walking, cycling and nature watching. A secure storage shed is included. It's located on the famous Rob Roy route, next to the river Almond and within easy reach of Perth, Crieff and Aberfeldy. Glasgow and Edinburgh are less than 90 mins away.
Released by kind permission of Sir Jack Whitaker, Alixs' Bothy forms part of the working estate at Auchnafree in Highland Perthshire. Converted in the past from a cow byre, the bothy has been used as accommodation for estate staff and members of the Whitaker family for decades. It has a TV, DVD, Freesat, and a collection of books, films and games. Tea and coffee are provided as well as some other basics. We provide bedding and towels too. (Tescos do deliver to the estate!). A basket of logs for the log burner is provided. Fishing permits are available on request. Uniquely located in the seclusion of Glen Almond, with private access, stunning scenery and wildlife, it offers an escape into the heart of Scotland. It's located on the famous Rob Roy route, an historical Public Right of Way, making for easy walking to Loch Tay and the Sma' Glen near Amulree. For those visitors with more energy, we have our own Munro, Ben Chonzie and numerous, well maintained tracks for walking & cycling (we ask that you be mindful that this is a shooting estate, so some restrictions are likely in the various shooting seasons). The estate has a full-time, resident caretaker who is usually not far away and able to offer help, if needed. All major routes are easily accessible, with Aberfeldy, Crieff, and Perth all within 30-40 minutes.
It's stunning! We are in a secluded Glen, surrounded by hills and wildlife....oh.... and not forgetting thousands of sheep! However we are a little remote, so be prepared for no Wifi or mobile phone signal (for the time being).
  • Lovely little cottage with a log burner to keep cozy during the winter months with everything you need and more. Also, spectacular surroundings. Would definitely recommend, just make sure you read the directions to get there and don't trust the address listed by Airbnb (wrong post-code)!

    Elena2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for anyone wanting a real getaway in the heart of some remote and dramatic landscape. The cottage itself is well kitted out and lovely and toasty with the heating on.

  • Cute as farm stay in the middle of the highlands. Truely isolated and lovely for it. Be aware, as stated in the listing, there is no phone reception or wifi but the experience is better for it. Truely off the beaten track but with all the amenities you could need. Also some great local tips from Steve. Has a great stay!

    Chantelle2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a perfect host - available and helpful yet gave us all the space and peace we needed. The cottage has everything you need, was very clean and warm. The access track from the main road is well-maintained and when we did it perfectly passable with a low-to-the-ground "city car". The true star of this place is the location - simply stunning.

  • Very nice place to stay. It is very clean, quiet and surrounded with many beautiful places to visit. We was enjoying 4 nights staying there. John is very nice and helpful for everything what we asked.

  • Lovely and special place!

    Judith2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our family trip took us to Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, but the unanimous favorite of the 6 places we stayed was the Weem Hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. We enjoyed the ambiance of the old hotel in restoration, the location was great for central highlands, and the people were very nice. We used the shared kitchen for cooking and enjoyed the Weem Woods and Castle Menzies which are both just outside the door. This place doesn't have giant rooms, king size beds or the generic feel of a Wyndam or Hilton, which is why we loved it, but we were comfortable and cozy, and felt right at home.

    Ann2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure to stay at the Aberfeldy Weem Hotel - staff were friendly and the communication worked perfectly. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious. Location is good. Thank you John for hosting us!
