  • This appartement was perfect for us. Perfect for a weekend.

  • Me was a good host. He was very thorough and made sure we ALL understood the rules. His place is very spacious, clean, comfortable and perfectly located in the Red Light district and China Town. It's Just a 10 minute walk to the train station. The address is not what is posted on Airbnb but it's near by. The place does not have internet and can be difficult if traveling from out side the country. The cost of the place is high to not provide Internet as an amenity.

    Gustavo 2016-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Me left bottled water in the fridge and some toiletries in the bathroom, which were very handy. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. There wasn't any air conditioning, and we were not allowed to leave windows open, for security reasons, so it got very warm inside. At night time, it was particularly noisy, but then, we wanted to stay in the Red Light District, so expected it

    Carly2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is really nice situated in the center of the city. Just in the red district, don't be afraid of seeing girls in vitrine. Better for a group of friends than for a family. Close to everything and very practical, we can easily live at 5 or 6 in the flat. Me has been a nice host, available to answer all our questions and really sympatique when we met him. I'll recommand this place without any hesitation !

  • its ok

    Waleed2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • very good ubication, but was another address! very clean and good comunication.

    pedro2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The host was nice, the apartment was good although the lack of internet hurt it's overall rating. The shop owner works downstairs and sells Heineken for $1.50 which is something I found amusing to hear during my stay. The best thing about the apartment is that the shop owner is downstairs, almost always has a smile on and the fact that there's no quiet hours. Not that I was partying but I do like to listen to my music until I sleep. Great place, very friendly people and I would say that the only missing thing was internet and the sofa pulls out into a bed, which is something we discovered on our last day.

Beautiful designed top floor studio in houseboat with a large terrace and amazing views over the water. The studio is very light. Enjoy living on the water with easy and quick access to the inner city centre (with a free private parking place).
Please do know that this private studio is on the top floor of the houseboat and is available for my guests while I am living myself on the two bottom floors of the houseboat. It would be great if can send me an inquiry before making a reservation request as I might have promised the studio to other guests that still have to make the booking. And do please feel free to contact me if you would like to have some more information or if you have any questions. The bright and light studio is on the top floor of the houseboat and accommodates four people. It has 1 double bed and a couch that converts to a really comfortable double sleeping bed. The studio has a modern bathroom and has a large terrace with seating to relax and enjoy outside. Please do also know that the studio does not have a full kitchen, but it is equipped with a good microwave/oven, fridge, water cooker, coffee machine (with free tea/coffee).
IJburg is a modern architectural area with beautifully designed boats in Amsterdam. The area has all the facilities and amenities you need including supermarkets, some nice restaurants & bars and a great beach with beach club Blijburg. Here you can also go sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing and paddle boarding. There is also a nice harbour.
  • Romantic setting, smooth process. Easy to find, a dream place to live on, great hospitality. Parking space absolute plus! Lying in a hammock watching tchirping swallows... 3 Aart is a really warm-hearted host who wants his guests to have a perfect stay. Ijburg is a stunning place, only 15 mins from Central Station with tram, we were given bikes, explored the beach, jumped in the water and paddled along. Amazing way to relax without all the tourists. The bed was great and cosy. We would come back in an instant!

  • What a great place! Way better than any hotel or hostel! Clean, warm and comfortable, it even has an awesome shower! We were even given a bottle of wine which was very welcome! We couldn't have asked for more! The Woonboat is really well located. Just 10 minutes by tram to Centraal Station. Aart was a brilliant host. We were given a very warm welcome even though we arrived a little late in the evening. He gave us advice on how to get around and where to go. Don't bother looking anywhere else in Amsterdam. This is the place you need to stay! Look out for Aart in the book about the Woonboats!

  • Beautiful studio in a houseboat, with close proximity to Amsterdam city center, nice and quiet, very clean and comfortable bed. We had a lovely stay. Aart was very welcoming.

  • Amazing place! Sleeping in a house boat is a "must do" . Beautiful veiw from the terrace, there is plenty space to move around. Everything is modern, new and clean. You can be in Amsterdam Central Station in less than 10 min. Aart lend us a bicycle to go to a supermarket. Much better than a Hotel, the house boat was a real experience!

    renata2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had a great stay in Aart's beautiful house on the water. Aart was there to welcome us when we arrived and gave us lots of great information and advice for our stay. The house is beautiful and even though he lives there with his children, it feels very private upstairs. The facilities were great, although the WiFi was a little dodgy. No complaints other than that, though! He even offered for us to use bikes while we stayed there, but unfortunately the bikes were too tall for us as we have very short legs but they would have otherwise been very useful! The neighbourhood is very pleasant and quiet and the supermarket is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The whole house is stunning and just a couple of minutes walk to the tram stop that gets you straight into the centre of the city. Highly recommended!

    Elia2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what was advertised. Aart was a gracious and kind host.

    Elsa2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • There is nothing bad I can say about our stay at Aarts houseboat. We had everything we needed and Aart is a very nice host. The houseboat was nice and clean. Sheets and towels are available. The terrace is amazing. Steigereiland is a cool and young place especially because of the architecture. There are two supermarkets nearby where you can walk to, go by bike (included) or take the tram. It takes 15 minutes to the city center. I would recommend Aart and his houseboat to my friends and everyone else. Thank you Aart!

    Julia2016-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed an absolutely unique and incredible experience at Aart's super-modern boathouse. Came to Amsterdam on the last leg of our Euro trip, and were not entirely sure of what to expect going in to our stay at Aart's, but from the moment we set our sights on the home, we were excited and positively surprised by all the amenities and help Aart provided. He greeted us with local beers and strawberries, and the upstairs level was spacious enough for three (a couple + a friend), with an enormous balcony for lounging and relaxing at our leisure. Aart also gave us a great local restaurant reccomendation, provided us with maps of the city, allowed us to use his washer/dryer, and let us take his paddleboat out on the lake. With our own set of keys, we were able to come and go on our own schedule, making our three days in Amsterdam extremely convenient and comfortable.

My place is located in Amsterdam’s eldest part. The street is very quiet, yet just a 10 min. walk from Central Station and 1 min from the Dam square.
You have a room with a queen size bed and a sofa, you will also have a private bathroom (non en-suite).
  • Delighted to be connected with a very accommodating host. His apartment was not available but quickly gave us the option of staying with a friend of his, who's room and location were ideal!

  • Very welcomed at Frans and Loecky's, we have been happy to spend 2 nights in a very lovely place. Really typical from Netherlands, the house boat is the place to be ! Moreover, Frans and Loecky are vey kind hosts, always ready to any help !

  • Our stay at the houseboat was mostly enjoyable. It is a very beautiful arrangement and everything worked well as it was supposed to. A big living room and a comfortable bed with a simple drinks provided. We stayed there for a rowing regatta so bikes included in the stay were a massive help. Even though hosts are living next door you can't feel theirs presence and can quickly forget that you're not at home... Will definitely recommend this place to friends and stay here if we ever come back again to Amsterdam.

  • Very nice place to stay and Frans and his wife were very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the days and the beautiful houseboat - guessing, that wasn't our last Trip to this place :-). Ein wunderbarer Ort. Frans und sein Frau waren sehr nett und hilfreich mit vielen Tipps. Wir haben uns super erholt und die Tage genossen. Das war sicher nicht unser letzter Trip dorthin.

  • I have stayed in more than 40 airbnb apartments during the past 15 months, and this is definitely one of my favourites. It is new and clean, very bright with lots of window and a lovely view over the canal, and absolutely perfectly quiet. The kitchen and lounge/dining area is combined to make best use of the space. The kitchen is well equipped for serious cooking and there is plenty of wardrobe space. The bed has a Tempur overmattress which makes it extremely comfortable regardless of your preference for a hard or soft mattress. There is good free parking outside, the shops and tram station are within 10 minutes walk and you're in Amsterdam city centre in less than half an hour. Frans is a very nice and responsive host, offering to pick me up and take me back to Schiphol, which is only a ten minutes drive away. The pictures have been taken by the airbnb photographer who uses a super wide angle lense to make places look bigger, which is also the case here, but you get used to this after a while. I can highly recommend this apartment and shall probably be back myself before long.

  • Restful and quiet, this is a gorgeous flat on the outskirts of Amsterdam. It's about 30 minutes on the tram from Centraal Station, and it's very easy to get to and from downtown. If you are inclined to be in Holland but would like to avoid the tomfoolery of the Dam, this is the place to be. Frans and his wife are excellent hosts, and the area is lovely to walk around and bike in. They even have two bikes they will give you to use. Take the blue with the basket. Honestly, this is the best place we've stayed in in Holland, and I was sad to leave.

  • Lovely place to stay! Great view, tranquil neighbourhood. Frans has thought of everything - excellent host!

    Gabrielle2013-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed the stay very much. To live on the water was just beautiful (not cold at all!) and I went for a jog in a wonderful landscape. The bicycles were very handy for shopping and getting in the city by tram was also not complicated. I would really like to come back again!

    Akira2014-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed for 10 wonderful days at the house boat which was perfect! Frans was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and has all kinds of useful information in different languages waiting for you. The house boat was a bit of a distance from Amsterdam centre, but we did not mind as you can escape the hustle and bustle after a packed day of exploring and have peace and tranquillity at the apartment, chilling with the birds and water. Frans and his wife are such lovely people and were a total pleasure to stay with, they are always on call to help you out and just next door if you need any extra towels or bedding. The apartment is extremely well designed, cozy and makes you feel so at home, we just wanted to become permanent residents!! They were extremely flexible with our check out as our flight was late and last minute took us back to the airport which was a life saver and just shows what wonderful accommodating people the are. I really can not say enough great things about this place and its hosts, you will not regret booking this. We will definitely be coming back in the future and seriously looking forward to it, thanks so much to you both for making our stay and Terry's 30th Birthday the best ever.

Amsterdam Base it's compose of 7 bedrooms is a combination of 3 apartments in the same building, one with three bedrooms and two with two bedrooms. The space is eminently suitable for a large group wanting to stay together right in the heart of the city.
Nieuwmarkt is steps away from popular spots like China Town, Redlight District, Dam Square and Central Station. The neighborhood itself is a delight with innumerable cafes and coffeeshops nearby, as well as a daily market on the square, an organic food market on Saturdays and a general market on Sundays during the summer.

  • You feel quite amazed when you first walk in the door on the ground floor, a bit like walking through the closet leading to Narnia. Scoring such magnificent lodging was beyond our expectations. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay in his house. This is an experience me and my friends are not soon to forget. The house is a stunning beauty, cleverly and warmly decorated, and the beds are ones where you can only dream of serenity. And do take some time to sip some wine and relax in the red sofa on a rainy afternoon.

Looking for a group accommodation in Amsterdam? Nothing is more fun than sleeping on a ship. The Maxima is different than usual, has round shapes, shiny showers, clean lines and coloured doors. The ship is located in the artistic neighbourhood: the NDSM Wharf in the North of Amsterdam.
The Maxima is a traditional sailing ship from 1900, but a little different than other traditional ships in Holland. With a modern interior, round shapes, lots of colours and pleasant atmosphere you feel at home right away. The living space consists of a dayroom and kitchen where you can cook, relax, be together and celebrate your holidays. There are two showers, two toilets and six cabins for two persons, and one cabin for four. There are only single beds. In total, there is space for 18 people. In the summer months, the Maxima sails on the Wadden Sea as a charter ship. It is also possible to book a day-sailing-trip when you sleep on the ship in Amsterdam. For information and bookings, we refer you through to our booking agency: Captain Quality. Or you can just send us an Airbnb message for more info.
The Maxima is located on a jetty on the authentic old shipyard: the NDSM-wharf in Amsterdam North. From the boat it is a 5-minute walk to the (free) ferry, that will take you across the water to the central station in 15 minutes, or you can take the other ferry that will bring you to the beginning of the beautiful 'Jordaan' neighborhood in 9 minutes. So, in maximum twenty minutes you will be in the city centre of Amsterdam. On the pictures of the Maxima, you still see the old private jetty where the Maxima is anchored. Nowadays we lay right around the corner (still at the same distance from the ferry) on a shared jetty with other boats. Because this is a private site, parking up to two cars is free when you stay at the Maxima. Besides the famous city center, Amsterdam has a lot more to offer. For example, the NDSM Wharf, where the boat is anchored. This area emerged the last five years as one of the hippest and most creative neighborhoods in Amsterdam. In the summer time there are festivals organized every weekend, and in the winter there are all creative and cultural events in the huge industrial warehouses. At a two-minute walk from the boat, you will find Café Noorderlicht, an organic restaurant that already had sustainability and bio-products before it became a trend. In the evenings they often have live music. Tip: when night falls, go drink a local beer on the Noorderlicht terrace, overlooking the water and the Amsterdam skyline. Slightly further you will find Pllek, a restaurant built from old shipping containers, with great food and good music. And just two minutes further, you will find the ferry that takes you across the water to the centre of Amsterdam. When you choose to book the Maxima, we will send you a detailed map with al the info and walking routes. At the departure site of the ferries, there is a bakery: BBROOD!, where they serve delishious bread. Below are the times of the ferry at the NDSM site. There also exists another ferry at a a 15-minute bicycle ride distance from the Buiksloterweg NDSM ferry to Central Station. This goes every night, all night long, every 12 minutes. You will therefore always get home, no matter what time it is. Besides ferries, there is also a bus from the NDSM Wharf to the Central station and an Uber costs between €11-€16.
  • If you want an unique and different Amsterdam holiday experience for your group choose to stay on this beautiful sailing barge. We (13 people) were here for 3 nights from the UK to celebrate my 60th birthday with family and friends. The barge is moored in this urban area, next to the IJ-hallen, a massive post-industrial warehouse, clad in interesting graffiti. The regular ferry ride (every 15mins) from/to Amsterdam Centraal Station is a delightful experience in itself and if you just missed a ferry you can grab a lovely coffee from the bakery/cafe Brood. The barge is equipped with everything you need. The lounge is cosy and colourful, a lovely place to congregate and eat together. The cabins are sufficient, each with a bunk-bed and a sink, but they are very small and compact, which is alright if you just want a bed to sleep in. I recommend to bring slippers or flip-flops as the bedroom floor and floor in the corridor might get wet, as it did in our case. When it's cold outside and nice and warm inside (every room got a radiator) it drips condensation from the portholes on the floor, making your socks wet. Richard, the skipper on board, is on hand for any questions or resolving any issues, like we needed some new sheets, which was very helpful. The communications with Liv, our host, who we didn't get to see, were very friendly, helpful and clear. I would have loved to explore more of the creative and artistic side of the NDSM werf, but we didn't have the time. Perhaps a good reason to come back and if I would come with a group, I would definitely stay again at the Maxima boat.

  • This boat is absolutely perfekt. We were a party of 9 people and had plenty of space. Everthing is clean and very comfortable. When we arrived, Erik, the Skipper, gave us an warm welcome with freshly brewed coffee. He showed us good connections to Amsterdam Centraal and recommended us some shopping opportunities. It was a very nice stay and we can only recommend this location. Its perfect if you're planning to stay a few days in Amsterdam. If your arriving by train, just take the ferry from Amsterdam Central to NDSM-Werft.

  • We had a great time on the boat. The boat was nice and warm. It was convenient to catch the free ferry to go in the center of Amsterdam. We followed some of Liv's restaurants recommendations and they were great!

  • We had a great time on Maxima. Very cozy atmosphere, clean and comfortable für us 15. Liv and Richard were very friendly and helpfull hosts. The area is very interesting and taking the fery is great fun. Thanks again.

  • We were 11 women and had a very pleasant stay in this boat! Everything was clean and confortable. The situation was very good: only 5 min from free ferries (arrival and departure from Central Station all day long)! Friendly welcome. See you next time!

  • Really great group accommodation! Even with 10 of us still plenty of room. Fully equipped boat, warm, clean, location was really cool yet easy enough to get into the centre of the city. Erik was super helpful and most accommodating and responsive to messages. 100pc recommend! Thank you!

    Jasmine2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • 12 of us stayed here for 2 days to celebrate my 50th birthday – the location is fantastic (only 20 minutes in total from the boat to Centraal Station) but it’s a completely different vibe – it’s a great place to start and end the day. Although the cabins are small they were perfectly comfortable and the communal space works really well. Communication both before and during couldn’t be faulted. Liv recommended a restaurant (Pllek) for my birthday night and we had a fantastic meal – would definitely pass on her recommendation. All in all it was an awesome experience (even though I can’t remember a lot of it!) Thanks.

    Rich2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very enjoyable experience staying in a boat. Everything that was offered was all right. When we arrived at the pier, it was a little complex, because we must go through a dirt road that with the rain turns to mud. Erick was very helpful and he gave us a lot of useful information.

The bright and clean bedroom is luxuriously decorated and full of character, including high ceilings. The building has a monument status and is situated in a Unesco World Heritage site. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me for more information. I am living in the front part of the building. Unfortunately it is not possible to store luggage. There are plenty of storage boxes for rent in Central Station to store luggage.
The building is located in a very central area, minutes walk from all points of interest, like Ann Frank house and Dam Square. Perfect location that is near everything one might want to do in Amsterdam!
  • Charming modern canal house in an ideal location near Red Light District... host included various extras including stroopwaffle, wi-fi, water, various size towels, and plastic disposal cups. Newly renovated and fresh paint scheme. While room does share a bath room is equipped with it's own personal sink which was very appropriate.

  • Location, Location, Location! The houseboat is in a perfect location. Short walk to the train station, metro station, restaurants, "coffee" shops, red light district, Rembrandt house, supermarket, little specially shops, canal tours, hop on off bus, diamond factory and Sky line view. You can experience everything Amsterdam has to offer in a few minutes. Please be advised there are multiple stairs, ladders and other obstacles to access the boat. All very doable and you learn a few tricks but still can be a little challenging. The boat is large and extremely comfortable and the beds were wonderful. Kitchen is well equipped and the hosts supplied us with some starter food. Rain shower and bath tub worked beautifully. Having coffee on the deck watching the boats go by will be a long term memory. Note that the deck is very hot mid day so bring your sunscreen. Our gracious hosts were very accommodating. Live like a Dutch national on a houseboat! I was able to cross this off my bucket list!

  • Great place. Perfect location. Excellent hosts. Everything as described in listing. Lots of good additional touches from Carl and robertino. We had a great trip . Thanks guys x

  • 3 Words: Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! This houseboat will blow your mind and counts as a truly unique experience. It is absolutely worth the price and I could finally mark “sleeping on a houseboat” from my bucket list! Thanks to both hosts, Robertino & Carl, for this experience and the pleasant support during my stay. I loved the bottle of prosecco and typical Dutch breakfast treats :-) 5 stars for me and hope to come back again someday:)

  • I stayed at Carl and Robertinos home with my parents and my brother during our recent vacation to Europe. We spent 3 nights exploring Amsterdam and calling this unique boat home. Carl and Robertino were always quick to respond and easy to communicate with from the time of inquiry right through check out. When we arrived, the home was exactly as described and beautifully decorated. The master bedroom is spacious and the 2 smaller rooms are cozy private nooks. One thing to note is that the 2 smaller rooms don't have space to unpack or dress, they're really just beds with a sliding door. Even so, my family of 4 adults was comfortable for 3 nights. Carl and Robertino went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - even leaving champagne to ring in the New Year. I would highly recommend this home as a central, unique place to take in Amsterdam.

    Melissa2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing all around.

    T.2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a mind-blowing experience to stay at this houseboat during my Amsterdam trip! The hosts were very welcoming: they filled up the fridge, prepared a fruit basket as well as gave us insider tips for the best local restaurants and shops in town. This experience definitely exceeded my expectations of living on a houseboat!

    Stefan2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a truly unique experience in Amsterdam, you couldn't go past staying in this beautiful houseboat. It's location is 5 star and what I didn't realise is you stay right where you are because from the deck you get to live local Amsterdam - everything happens around you. We didn't leave the boat except for groceries, and believe me, you won't want to eat out - the whole houseboat experience is just too good to leave. Everything you could possibly want and need is in the boat and everything is pretty, cared for and stylish. The owners, Roberto and Carl, go over and above what is required - you'll enjoy your hosts.

    Maureen2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is too cool. Having traveled to Amsterdam many times, I had long dreamt of staying on a houseboat. I had high hopes of my first experience on one, and this place greatly exceeded those high expectations. The boat itself is newly renovated, fitted with luxury appliances and tech, and all with an eye for design. With 3 bedrooms, it's great for small groups and provides individual privacy when you want it. Centrally located in the heart of Amsterdam, this home provides the perfect canal-side setting that ensures you'll feel like you're living like local on your Dutch getaway. Robertino could not have been more welcoming. Check in was smooth and the place was full of breakfast treats, cold Heinekens and plenty of coffee for the espresso machine. Can't say enough good things about this place. You're lucky if it's available for the dates you're considering!

!IN THE WEEK OF 05/07 TILL 10/07 KIM'S MOTHER TAKES CARE OF THE B&B. WE ARE ON A SHORT HOLIDAY! An attractively furnished attic studio, with attached -smoke friendly roof terrace- with great view and nice sunrises The attic studio is located in a calm yet hip and upcoming north part of the city. In just a 10 minutes walk and 3 minutes ferry ride you are in the buzz of Amsterdam's city center and Central Station. Ferry is for free and goes 24/7. Lovely restaurants and supermarkets in the area.
The attic is 10 meters long and 4 meters wide, with attached 10m2 roof terrace with great city view. The studio is furnished with a double bed, a dining/work table, a television, free WiFi, private toilet and private bathroom with rain shower. There is a small kitchenette. There's a fridge, microwave and electric kettle. There is a possibility to use our washing-machine and dryer. Bed linen and towels are included. We provide a free breakfast.
  • The attic is a very comfortable, clean and private space with beautiful decor. Loads of natural light, comfortable bed and great bathroom. The area is great for access to central - it's only a lovely 10 minute walk to the free ferry that takes you to central (ferry runs constantly and only takes 3 minutes). Kim and Daniel provided a huge breakfast spread every morning (would quietly leave it downstairs in the attic for us), did our laundry and we're always prompt in replies and had great recommendations. All round a wonderful stay, the best air BnB we had in all of Europe! Thanks Daniel and Kim!!!

    Rheann2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely Perfect. Kim and Daniel are the most sweetest host ever. They took care our convenience and everything what we need. The experience what we had during stay in this house was extremely nice and perfect. Also the house was very lovely, cozy and comfy. Even its size was a little bit small but we didn't feel any unconvenience. This house is lovely and amazing! I'll surely recommend this flat to all of my friends who planning to go to Amsterdam. Thank you, Kim&Daniel! Take care! P.S. The breakfast was extremly nice! ;)

  • Amsterdam is our first destination of honeymoon in Europe and we are so glad that we have made the right choice staying with Daniel and Kim!! This has become one of our best Airbnb experience ever! Super delicious breakfast and cozy room, the bed was so comfortable! Kim and Daniel have been very helpful and friendly to us, certainly our trip to Amsterdam will not be perfect without them. Will definitely recommend this place to all our friends!

    Galvin & Angel2016-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first stay with airbnb abroad and I'm afraid we are forever spoilt by it! The attic is very cozy, the view is wonderful, location perfect (close to the downtown but quiet at night). Kim and Daniel are amazing hosts and the breakfast they offered made our hearts melt! We will definitely come back if we can!

    Olga2017-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kim and Daniel were great hosts. Kim was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay with, having great knowledge of transport, directions and places to check out during our stay! They were very accommodating and flexible with when breakfast was served (if you fancy a lie in) and the breakfast was a delicious start to long days site seeing! If you fancy something cosy and comfy away from the madness of the red light district but close enough to venture to all of Amsterdam's offerings then I highly this space!

    tom2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kim and Daniel are super lovely ad great hosts! The location is a little further out but totally close enough to Central. It was a little far to make a couple of trips home during the day, so we found that we went out and when we came home, we stayed in for the rest of the night. If you rent a bicycle, it would be super fast! The breakfasts are amazing and you will be full until late afternoon! The space is adorable and very functional. It was cozy and we really enjoyed our time when we were in the apartment.

    Tammy2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I stayed for one night, the loft is only 10 minutes from the central station on foot, which was very convenient, as we were to travel the next day. The loft has great standard, and a comfortable bed. The hosts are friendly and welcomming as well as available anytime.

    Fredrik2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Both Daniel and Kim were kind and helpful. They gave us detailed instructions to their home and provided a delicious breakfast. The room itself was lovely with a beautiful terrace and an awesome rain shower! The location of the home was very convenient and close to the ferry which was easy to use and gave us direct access to central Amsterdam.

  • We had a really great stay in Jeanette’s apartment. The place is big, full of natural light and beautiful. The living room is pretty stylish with large windows and very convenient kitchen. The roof terrace is a real high point of the house, definitely it’s punch line. We loved having breakfast there a lot. Jeanette was a hospitable proprietress, easy to communicate with, friendly and helpful. Great area around, fancy boutiques, lovely small cafes. We enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend this place.

    Diana2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Overall the place is great, they're new to hosting so I can see how a few things fell through the cracks. The biggest issue for us was there was only one shower in the house, we were expecting two as per what was advertised. Also be careful on the steps to the roof, I fell down the staircase due to a tiny bit of moisture on the steps. The house is very very nice, and the location is incredible. Once they finish the 2nd bathroom and the street construction is completed it will be a perfect house. Until then just make sure you are very clear on what to expect. 5 people sharing one shower is tough.

Five bedroom accommodation comprising 2 apartments in the same building; a three bedroom and a two bedroom, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Perfect for groups of friends wanting to stay together, the apartments are in a central location next to Nieuwmarkt and the Red Light District.
  • Location-wise you probably can't get any more central. The building is embedded into the heart of Amsterdam's vivid nightlife/red light districts with plenty of bars, coffee shops and restaurants literally seconds away. The building has multiple apartments that look and feel like they were created and furnished exclusively for AirBnB - you're not staying in someone's private apartment but rather a kind of hotel. Pro: - perfect for small groups - central location - nearby car park (10mins) - very nice staff - lounge room (smoking allowed) Cons: - you're paying for the location, while the interior is clean and tidy it's definitely furnished for durability, not coziness or higher standards. Overall a good experience!

  • I've organised a bachelor party for a friend in Amsterdam and we spent a wonderful time on Maria's and Roman's boat. We were a group of eight people and for sure it's not a five-star hotel, but quite comfy and very cool for people who want to have something special away from everyday tourism. Before our trip began I wrote a lot of messages with Maria and she answered very fast and was very flexibel in the organisation, which is a big plus for me. They are very relaxed and friendly. On top they picked us up directly at the location where we played bubble football and sent me a list of nice locations in Amsterdam. Big thanks and best wishes to Maria and Roman and I would ever do it again

    Marcel2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Maria and Ramon are a lovely host with a warm welcome in their beautiful and cozy boat,we stayed one complete weekend there, located in so quiet and peaceful area near Amsterdam. Maria provided a pick up service to/from city by her car. Therefore we were not worry about picking up late at night. If you want they would prepare a nice breakfast. The small boat was in the middle canal and in sunny day we also had a Bout Tour by them with a reasonable price if you have a real dutch boat life experience. There was not a shower in the boat but we did it in a public one very near. There is no internet connection so you can completely rest in weekend. In general it was a unique experience, they are kind and responsible host and their best to make a memorial weekend.

    Alireza2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • They don't leave the boat just for you, Roman leave it's baggage in the boat before our arrival in order to stay the night with us. There is no bathroom (he says you can use one on other boat after 10am, we didn't stay to test) and they are only 2 rooms (the livingroom must have been counted in rooms).

    Nadja2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Roman and Maria ensured we were comfortable throughout our entire stay. We always had the option of barbecue and every morning we were offered tea and coffee. Maria was ever so kind to drop us into the city. We did a ride on the boat around the Vinkeveseen Plassen and it was a beautiful sight to behold. We as a family are already making plans to come back and visit next year. The neighbourhood is full of lovely people and Roman and Maria were great company.

    Danhai2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 21 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Brad2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time at this boat for 3 nights, with 8 people was pretty crowded but still fun! Maria and Roman are very Kind and everything was Fine! Thanks to have us!

    Simon2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • I can't accurately put in words how WONDERFUL the stay and boat tour on Maria and Romans boat was! Furthermore they were very accomodating, curtious, communicative, friendly and overall the reason why I continue to book Airbnb rather than hotels! All aspect of our stay was perfect. To all who want to stay on a boat these two hosts are without a doubt the best choice! Lastly please note this IS a large boat - so please keep in mind that you dont have some amenities (like a shower) on the boat itself but rather right outside there are showers.

    Muna2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We ended our bachelor party with 6 people at Maria's boat and all in all it was a bit of a disappointment for what they charge. We wanted to have a BBQ at the boat by bringing our own food, BBQ and seats, which Maria said at first was fine (weeks before we arrived) but then suddenly the day before we arrived Maria wanted to charge us 150 euros for having a BBQ. So we had to cancel it and change our plans at the last minute, only to be told that it was fine to have the BBQ for free when we checked in the next day? She also rang me up at 10pm the night before to tell me to bring a 300 euro cash deposit, which was very unsettling. There was supposed to be Wifi but there isn't any and the stove didn't work. We also couldn't park our car near the boat, we had to pay 5 euros to park down the street, which isn't noted anywhere. As we were a bachelor party the cleanliness was okay but if I had booked this as a romantic getaway I would be quite disappointed. Its a shame because the location and boat are pretty unique, there was just a lot of confusion in communication and extra unforeseen rates.

Our recently renovated guesthouse is situated in our garden, not far from the houseboat where we live in with our family. The bathroom is shared with us in the houseboat. It is a quiet place not far from town, by bike it take only 15 -20 minutes to the center. It is a wonderful combination of being in a quiet relaxing place near the river and having all the attractions of Amsterdam nearby.
It is a very nice and cosy room with a woodstove, which is private for yourself. If you want to check in before 6 pm let me know then we see if it is possible. After 10 pm also please ask, if it is possible. When you arrive at the airport after 9 pm we prefer a pick up from there for 20 euro.
Nice quiet area with trees, a beautiful park nearby called Amstelpark and of course the unique view of river Amstel where we live on. Nearby is restaurant (also for breakfast and lunch, open only till 9pm!) Thuis aan de Amstel. RAI congrescenter is nearby. Albert Cuypmarket or Museumsquare is only 15 minutes by bike. Damsquare and Central Station about 20-25 minutes.
  • It's a pleasant home to stay and the lovely family is being so friendly and helpful! The beautiful sea view and those cute ducks are totally worth it. You will hv privacy in your room. The decoration of the guest house is also great! So bad I couldn't stay longer! I will definitely recommend this one.

  • Marga is a warm and generous host and the cozy guest house was clean with comfortable bed. I loved hearing the sounds of the waterfowl singing from the river early in the morning.

  • Wow! Liked the guesthouse with the piano, liked your houseboat and especially your garden! Thank you Marga for being so warm and welcoming!

    Uli2014-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Marga - as well as her husband - was really helpful and of great company. The guesthouse is a small cocoon next to their water house.

    Denis2015-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marga was extremely welcoming and made sure to show us all parts of the property. The guest house is small and can get a little chilly, but fortunately there is a wood stove and several electric heaters so it's pretty easy to heat up. Using the shared bathroom in the boat house can be a little awkward since it's such an open space, but it was never a problem and we never felt unwelcome. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a more rustic and outdoorsy feel.

    Angelo2015-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, comfortable and spacious private room in the middle of a beautiful and quiet garden. Marga and Rico are wonderful hosts, friendly to talk to, accommodating and insightful in regards to the city. I recommend this listing to anyone wanting a quiet place away from the busy centre. I suggest renting a bike, as it is the perfect way to get to and from.

  • This place is out of the centre of Amsterdam, but really it's a great location. You can walk to the local shops easily (local supermarkets, bars and eateries) and another 10 minutes takes you to the free ferry ( which operates very frequently) to Amsterdam's Central Station and the centre of Amsterdam beyond. Great to have the pool table which we used late into the night!

  • I really loved the apartment. Though it does not have that much windows, it appears to me very brightly and the furniture is great as well. Its great for larger groups and the price is really good! The location is about 20 mins away from the centraal station Bathroom was clean and neat. Chi prepared for us towels and breakfast which was very nice and the price is really good as well. The next time I am in Amsterdam, I d definitely book the same apartment!

  • Our stay at Diederick's place was perfect. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, next to the most famous park of Amsterdam, 10 min walking from Ann frank's house and museums, 15 min by tram from the very downtown. The apartment itself has been totally renovated in a very cosy way and beds were comfortable. Diederick and his friend have been very responsive and kind all the way along. Actually the only thing I could complain about was the weather. :) unfortunately that's not something they can control :)

Unique House for 4 couples and/or big families. BBQ in big garden There is a tram stop which is only a 2 min walk. Tram 9 takes 15 min to center & 10 min to Artis ZOO. Animal friendly house for cats & dogs. Great restaurants and parks nearby.
History Watergraafsmeer is the lowest-lying area in Amsterdam. As a polder (reclaimed land) it was first pumped dry in 1629. In the 17th and 18th centuries, wealthy Amsterdammers built estates to escape the city on weekends—only Frankendael, with its restaurant and garden, is left as a reminder of those times. In the 20th century, ‘worker villas’ like Jeruzelum and the oddly futuristic Betondorp were built without ‘church, bar or capital’. Later, Watergraafsmeer became a city focus as home to the football stadium De Meer where AFC Ajax played until 1996 (De Meer was subsequently demolished when Ajax moved to their current home, the Amsterdam ArenA). Not only did iconic footballer Johan Cruijff call Watergraafsmeer home, but also Dutch writers such as Gerard Reve and Karel van het Reve. Highlights Watergraafsmeer offers a wide range of green. Many residents have garden allotments and the area is dotted with sports fields, Amsterdam’s largest cemetery Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats (and its curious Netherlands Funeral Museum Tot Zover) and the city’s largest skating rink Jaap Edenbaan. For commuters it has the major train station Amstel, as well as easy access to the A10 ring highway.
  • We had a wonderful stay in Jacqueline's place to visit Amsterdam with the whole family. The house is just great, absolutely like described in the pictures but with a very lovely "soul" of its own, with two very distinct but charming atmospheres within the different floors. The localization is absolutely ultra convenient. The Tramway stop is actually in front of the door and puts you in 10/15 mn into the very center of Amsterdam. And don't miss the neighbouring Frankendael Park which is gorgeous (especially the numerous little week-end houses). Overall a 10/10 ... Thank you Jacqueline and friends for a warm communication and so many great tips and addresses. Gilles and family.

It is a perfect location when our on vacation with a group! you are sleeping in different rooms, but you are able to sit, eat and cook together, not like in a hotel and you have a great sundeck. Room in the attic of a house in Haarlem, the beautiful city between Amsterdam and coast.
In the beautiful old dutch city of Haarlem you can sleep in my attic. Haarlem is about 15 km from Amsterdam (20 minutes by train) and about 10 km from the dutch beach. The atticroom is about 12 m2. It's a cozy, friendly room for one person or if you wish I make it with an extra bed suitable for two. There is a shared bathroom. It is all clean, simple, and it's close to public transport. If you don't mind to climb up two stairs, you are welcome to stay! I do not serve a breakfast but Haarlem city (close to my place) has several places to go to. There is a wifi-connection available.
  • Joce is a great host. The attic room is lovely and clean. The house is central to the town so is ideally situated. Would definitely return. Recommended.

  • José greeted me very friendly and nice. She offered my the house key and a guide of Haarlem, then she showed my the bathroom and my sleeping room. Both are very nice. I was very well-being. Because I was very tired I didn't saw José once again but in the short Time I saw her she was a great host. I felt that she really like it to have guests in her house.

  • Jocé was a very welcoming host. She gave us the tip to visit the Corrie ten Bloom house in Haarlem which is definitely worth it! The attic as well as the rest of the flat were very clean and as described in the pictures. The neighbourhood is calm but still very central - only 20 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal by train. We would definitely recommend at Jocé's flat!

Great experience in an urban landscaping project in Amsterdam North. Enjoy peace, space and greenery in this oasis on the outskirts of the city .... The center of Amsterdam, but also the Zaan region within easy reach.
Spacious apartment especially suited for families, in a child friendly environment. The 'Amsterdam Farm Lodge' is located on the terrain of the urban farming project 'NoordOogst', a very special place on the edge of Amsterdam, just a few steps away from the hustling and bustling NDSM wharf. But also a lot to see and do on site. Sustainability is important to us, therefore we made use of recycled materials to decorate the place. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, a living, a dining room, toilet, bathroom en well equipped kitchen. Do not expect luxury, but good comfort, the basics are provided for. If needed we can provide for baby beds, baby chairs and a changing matres. Note that there is a stairs to the apartment at the first floor. The apartment is part of the Amsterdam Farm Lodge, which consists of 7 apartments in total. You can also book us for big groups.
We are on the site of an awesome urban farming project, you'll find fields with crops, pigs, chickens, a restaurant, a veggie take-away, kids daycare, woodworking, bakery, a beekeeper, a wine yard and a brewery. And plenty of space to play.

  • Great value for place! Beds were comfortable and a lot of room for a group of 6. Only one bathroom. Location isn't close to red light district or museums but you're close to transit that will take you there. Buy a pass for the whole time you stay as Uber's and cabs will add up. I would stay again with a group of 6 if nothing closer to city has the same value.

In the Harbour of Amsterdam in the center of Amsterdam. You will find the Isis; A beautiful classic sailing ship. In the summer we make long sailing trips with our guests on the Dutch Wetlands called the 'Waddensee'. We hope to see you soon!
  • Joost and Jeroen went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The description of the boat was also pretty much accurate. The neighbourhood was good - we did some research and this is essentially the most central place you can stay boat. Amsterdam is also a gorgeous city, even in the middle of winter. Overall I'd strongly recommend this sailing ship!

    Samuel2015-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a group of around 20 people, and each one of us had a fantastic time! The ship is spacious and beautiful, and the assistants on the ship were incredibly nice and helpful to us. We had our privacy but when we needed them, they were there. It was about a ten minute bus ride into the city center, but the traveling was incredibly easy to manage. I would absolutely recommend any large group to stay here, you'll have a great time.

  • We really enjoyed our stay on the "Overwinning". Located at 5minutes walk from the closest Tramway, it is very easy to go in the Center of Amsterdam ! The neighborhood is quite We were 15 on the boat and we had everything we needed on board ! The toilets/showers are not spacious but you can handle it :) the beds are ok. I really recommend the boat for group of close friends !!

  • Enjoyed our stay. The boat was awesome and very well maintained by Joost. We Slept 16 very comfortably. Our only complaint was the location of the boat being changed a few days prior to a dock across the water. Which became inconvenient for us.

    Alec2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Joost for this nice we on Isis in Amsterdam. Such a nice way to discover and living this incredible city. The trip threw the docks on Sunday was really a must! Thanks to your sailor man too! Bon vent à Isis.

  • Joost was very helpful and responsive to all my questions prior to confirming the booking. We use the Ship as a Team meeting venue for 8 people for 3 days / 2 nights (coming from Germany, US, UK and NL). Joost also agreed to provide Breakfast, Lunch and coffees. Joris who leaves on a separate part of the ship, cooked and looked after us very very well. Helpful with all our requests and nice food too. This was a great experience and fully meet all our expectations. Ship was clean and great space in the main area. thank you to both Joris and Joost for hosting us.

  • Joris warmly welcomed us and he was very available for all our questions. We had our own privacy on the boat. The boat was not excatly where it was supposed to be, but we enjoyed the area which was close to the center (about 15 min). Great birthday week-end for me and my 13 friends!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Ellen´s house. The situation close to the canal was perfect to have a walk or to take the free bykes available and enjoy the countryside. The location is also perfect to visit Amsterdam, Utrech, Harleem and many cities in the area Ellen and her husband were really helpfull , giving us advice to visit the area, printing our boarding passes or installing an extra bed. Everything perfect . I really recommend the house.

  • Such a lovely little place out in the country! Make sure you rent a car to get out to the farm, but the accommodations were absolutely lovely! Peaceful setting and sufficient space for our party of seven. Ellen was very helpful and responsive about our accommodations. She worked with our late arrival and made us feel welcome. The only thing that wasn't provided was towels, but those could be easily rented for a small fee. Overall, wonderful experience and my family really enjoyed our time in The Netherlands.
