I provide a special accommodation in a secluded area of a private property with a small beach and so far a cold tub and sheltered seating areas. You are welcome to share my cottage including the use of the kitchen and bathroom.
If your dream is to spent some time in a Tipi, you have found a very quiet and peaceful place. . My place is a mile away from the main road and is located on a dead end. Almost no noise or light pollution. I only have one neighbour, a very friendly couple with a lovely dog. I`m living 5 miles from the Findhorn Foundation and 6 miles from the towns of Forres and Elgin. A bus leaves from the top of the road. If you want to be completely looked after i'm also a tour guide. http://www.experience-Scotland-differently.com If you like to be in total control of how you want to spend your day and change it to your needs and wants you can relax and enjoy my service (-: I`m also living in the best climate zone of Scotland and a very ancient place, packed with history. Morayshire is also home for the biggest whisky trail and many famous whiskies, not to mention some of the best golf courses. I`m close to mountains, rivers, the sea, caves, castles.......... So the area is perfect for many outdoor activities, wildlife ( the most northern Dolphins....) and beautiful countryside and the home of the first People in Scotland- the Pict's. The list is long and in the end you have to make up your own mind and check it out. I`m looking forward to looking after you and if you are cool I would love to introduce you to many great friends in the country including the only hobbit in the Highlands and the longest Loch Ness Monster Hunter. cheers Torsten
My property is in a very quiet location and I'm still creating a magic place of beauty and tranquility. I have one neighbour directly beside my place. A family with one boy and a very lovely dog. Otherwise nobody else can pass by because the road ends on my car park. It is very safe and surrounded by fields. Right now I'm building a hot tub and an outdoor kitchen. I also have a pergola with a cosy hideaway on top of the roof ( look at the picture ) The kitchen is small. Otherwise you are sharing my place and not everything is perfect. I'm a single guy (((-:

  • The tipi was great and we had a really nice time spending some time with and getting to knowTorsten, he is a really great guy. He even helped us draw up an itinerary of places to visit on our onward journey! Would recommend staying here :)

  • Torsten was an amazing host! He opened up his house and life to us. We were very comfortable and felt right at home. The backyard was beautiful! The tipi was very comfortable and definitely a magical experience. Highly recommended!

  • I had a great experience in the cosy and a great weather as well. Torsten is a great host. I stay with him during the afternoon exploring great places in the area. Totally recommended in all senses. The location is so peacuful and the tipi is very comforable and warm. I would recommend to stay at the tipi to everybody who is going to this place.

  • It was a very nice stay at Torsten's place. He gave us a lot of great tipps to explore Scotland on a special way

    Robert2017-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Torsten is absolutely awesome. He is very down to earth and cool. He was very welcoming and accommodating. His knowledge of the area and connections around Scotland make him a great resource for anyone looking to explore. The tipi was comfortable and surprisingly warm (even without a fire). We were lucky enough to catch a clear night and the sky full of stars of was incredible. Definitely recommend staying here. It is a unique experience that won't ever be forgotten. Thanks!!!!!

    Staci2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • I've never stayed anywhere as cool as Torsten's tipi. It was so beautifully set up with a stone fire pit and candlelit chandelier inside. Even though it sprinkled a bit the night we were there, we were warm and cozy. Torsten was kind enough to offer us his house for showering and cooking and we had a lovely time. He's also a fantastic resource for ideas on what to do in Scotland that's off the beaten path. I would definitely recommend getting there in daylight. Torsten will give you excellent directions, but it took three clueless Americans a few bumbling turns before we got it right! :-)

    Casey2013-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • A magical place. I stayed in the tipi for 5 days and also booked Torsten for a day of sight seeing. He is genuinely interested in learning what a person wants and designing an custom itinerary to places you would never know existed. Up and coming attractions are his hot tub made of the biggest whiskey barrel I've ever seen and an outdoor kitchen that could be used for events and BBQs. Book him!!!

Granny's Cottage is a beautiful traditional farm cottage. Newly refurbished, the cottage is light, spacious and situated on a farm beside the A96. Granny's Cottage benefits from stunning views, and is close to Elgin and Forres. Many golf courses, distilleries, castles and beaches close by. Moray is an ideal base for cycling, walking, and numerous other activities, as well as relaxing! The cottage is cosy and homely and is a great home away from home! The windows are double glazed so it is quiet. There is an electric fireplace in the living room, and as per the photos, the decor is neutral and bright.
Our mixed arable farm has been in the family for over 100 years. There are sheep, cattle and pigs on the farm, and we also grow barley, much of which is used in the production of local whisky. If you are interested, Scott will be delighted to share many a farming story or two with you!
  • The cottage was great, had everything we needed. It was cosy, homely and had a lovely view out the back and at night you could see a million stars. Only downside was the busy road but apart from that it was very good.

Our large and characterful family home is situated near to Findhorn Bay, Roseisle Woods and plenty of golf courses. Built by the owners in 2003 there is plenty of space inside and out with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and plenty of parking space
This is a large stone clad house, full of character but modern in every way. Purpose built by the owners to raise their family in and still used by them whenever possible. There is plenty of space here to eat together, a large, well equipped kitchen, a big garden to play in and it is close to the beach, woods, and mountains, with views to the south over farmland Everyone who spends time here wants to come back and feels it is a space where they can relax and recharge their batteries!
It is beautiful and quiet and away from the rat race! The neighbours are very friendly and the local area is full of interesting things to go and see and do.
  • This is a great place for an extended family to go for Christmas or New year and has plenty of room to prepare meals and to entertain. It would also be a great creative place for musicians to go and jam for days on end. Requires a good thorough clean as it was a bit dusty in places, however some people enjoy this type of rustic environment. Beautiful views and atmosphere.

  • We had a lovely time staying in this property. Immediately cosy and warm with lots of charm. We enjoyed the spacious living/dining room/kitchen with panoramic views over the fields and a huge wood burner. The bed rooms are big and warm and the master also had amazing views. The pool table was well used. The location is ideal near the main Inverness to Aberdeen road.

  • Emma's place did not disappoint from the description. It was a large and unique place to stay with fantastic views. The house had everything we needed and the location was great.

    Adele2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful large family home well equipped for visitors with young children. The living room and dining table had comfortable space for 10 adults and 5 babies/toddlers. Enough private parking for 5 cars. Lovely garden for adults and kids. Its location was remote enough to feel like you were in the middle of the country, 2 minutes drive away from Rosile beach as well as a short drive to the supermarket in Forres and activities in Elgin. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful prior to and throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

    Jemma2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great place, would recommend it to anyone !;)

    Michał2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing week in this gorgeous house and area. The spaciousness allowed all seven in our group to enjoy quiet time (our three kids adored the special kids room and toys) and we came together in front of the wood fire at night. The location is perfect for visiting Loch Ness one way and the beaches and historic towns the other. Highly recommend.

    Melinda2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a lovely long weekend in Emma's house in January 2016 and had a great time. The property is stunning and very well equipped. There are lots of nice walks and dramatic scenery within easy reach of the house. The weather was pretty wild when we were there which suited us as we enjoy the outdoors but also the luxury of coming back to a nice warm house with a log fire. I would highly recommend Emma's house to a family or group of friends looking to get away from it all and relax in a lovely spacious house set in beautiful countryside.

    Nicholas2016-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great extended-family (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Emma was straightforward, friendly and prompt. The house is spacious, well kitted out and 'lived in', we felt right at home. Impressive selection of board games and DVDs. Kitchen well equipped for cooking/baking for groups. Pine woodland on the doorstep a bonus for dog walking/playing and plenty to explore in the surrounding area. Family friendly - something for everyone. We recommend it.

Westfield House Bed & Breakfast is a family home 5 miles from Elgin and is set in the middle of farmland. There are various pubs/restaurants within 3 miles for supper. Plenty of beaches, golf courses and castles to visit, as well as the Whisky Trail.
Quiet and peaceful area surround by fields and farmland with lots of places to go and see near by.
We are away from traffic, surrounded by trees and fields. It is a very quiet and peaceful area to be in. Please note that if you are using a Sat Nav, it will stop at cottages just before you get to the house. You will need to carry on down the road until you see the driveway which is situated between stone walls with white stones on either side, and there is a sign saying Westfield House.
  • It was an unexpected experience residing for one all too brief night in an old Clan Ancestral Country house, at the initial lower rate of £50 for two people. Sat nav did not show the exact location of the house and we lost time knocking at empty cottages. Peaceful surroundings and spacious clean accommodation, fascinating artifacts throughout the halls and rooms, and a very nice very hardworking host making sure we were ok, even though time for all of us (her too, as she had to leave early, too) was all too brief. Had great sleep, with windows open to the sweet scented warm summer-night parklands, woken by birds and sunlight. Light breakfast with yummy fruitsalad.... Thank you for being our Host, Veronica, for just one brief summer night. Hope my busy life lets me come back one day with more time.

    Ruth2016-07-24T00:00:00Z

Very quiet surroundings with beautiful countryside and no neighbours in sight.
  • We had a great week in this quiet, peaceful , cosy cottage. It has everything you need for a short or long stay except a washing machine, has easy access to the coast, wonderful gardens and many historic buildings and churches. The kitchen, lounge , diner is small but adequate for two and very comfortable. Careena and Graham made us very welcome, were there if we needed them but were unobtrusive throughout the week. The little patio gave us access to the large garden visited by many different birds .The home made jam was excellent and it was good to have things like the garlic infused olive oil already in the cupboard. The jets flying overhead can be noisy but are infrequent and did not disturb us at all.

    Marian2016-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Even though Graham was away for New Year communication was very good and the information folder was excellent. It was one of the best Airbnb we have had.

    Peter2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed for a couple of nights with the intention to have a quiet time away from all the usual commotion. Graham's cottage offered the perfect location: nicely secluded, tucked away in a picturesque landscape, yet close enough to smaller cities and sightseeing destinations to provide things to do. Needless to say a car will be required to get here and to explore the surrounding area. The only downside was the nearby RAF base, the jet fighters of which occasionally flew manoeuvres without any regard to anyone looking for quiet. Nevertheless, these activities were certainly limited to only a few occasions and were made up by the hosts' warm welcome and excellent recommendations as to what to see, visit and eat during our stay. The cottage itself was small and equipped with the necessities for a two-night-stay - all in all a wonderfully cozy "base of operations" for trips around the area. WiFi in the cottage was a bit spotty at times, but let's be honest - you're not visiting here for the Wifi! Communication with the host was exemplary: friendly, quick and accurate. I can only recommend this cottage warmly to anyone looking for some quiet time away from work; we certainly would not hesitate to come again!

    Andreas2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable and friendly stay. Thank you!

  • Spent a couple of nights in Gable cottage. It was in a great location, very peaceful. Remote but only a short drive to Lossiemouth & Findhorn. Our hosts were welcoming and even gave us some homemade jam and strawberries on arrival! However they were not intrusive and let us go about our stay in peace. Cottage was very clean and tidy and had all the requirements for a short stay.

    Chelsea2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy check in, peaceful location, everything that we needed. Very friendly and welcoming hosts with a lovely dog whom ours enjoyed playing with! Would definitely stay again.

    Lizzie2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most glorious few days staying with the Broad's. The cottage was immaculate and comfortable and perfectly suited to our needs. We were made to feel very welcome and I see many return trips in our future....home away from home springs to mind!

    Elizabeth2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Graham and his wife welcomed us when we arrived and showed us the cottage. The cottage was delightful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The house was sparkling clean and obviously maintained. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing break to stay here.

The house is beautiful and spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable and clean. What we enjoyed the most is relaxing around the fireplace in the living room at night. It felt like a home away form home

  • The space was perfect, comfortable and very clean, Pam was very accommodating and welcoming, it's a very country feel when you come up the drive and upto the house. Pam & Nick have made this place special for anyone needing some tranquil time away from the rat race of everyday life.

    Lianne & Pauline2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Pam's place is heaven. Nestled in a beautiful garden but with outstanding and far reaching views (from outside), Pam's place is warm and welcoming. I stayed as a sort of "retreat" and even though it rained a lot so couldn't sit out in the garden as much as I had planned, it didn't really matter, as the view from the comfy sofa was so green! The main room is extremely pleasant and beautifully decorated, the mattress is so comfy I asked for the supplier and the breakfast was delicious. Most of all, I felt welcomed. This, along with the real advantage of the separate entrance, meant I felt that perfect balance of hospitality and privacy. I will return!

    Claire2017-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to unwind, so peaceful. Everything lovingly and artistically prese nted and great comfort. Organic toiletries even. Pam a very gracious hostess. A wonderful antidote to city life, especially with the lovely hens and ducks running around.

    anne2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were so lucky to find Pam and Nick's Airbnb, what a wonderful find. We were their first Airbnb guests, how fortunate we were! They are both generous, friendly and accommodating hosts. They made us feel instantly welcome with yummy fresh scones, home made jam from their own home grown strawberries and a lovely hot cuppa. The rooms are lovely, clean and beautiful. The shower is very good, the bed is very comfortable ( we slept like logs ) the rooms are lovely and warm. Pam provided us with everything we could ever wish for in the way of breakfast with the best coffee we have had in the UK. They are gentle, thoughtful folk and we thoroughly enjoyed conversation with them both. They have a wealth of local knowledge and an understanding of the natural world around them that we found both enriching and delightful. We were only there for one night but we felt that we had stayed with old friends. We definitely recommend Pam and Nicks to everyone - get yourselves there - for peace, quiet and understanding. If we are ever back this way we will stay again :)

    Susie2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Pam and Nick's organic farm- the setting is beautiful- remote yet very close to the main road so easy to access. The bedroom is bright and airy and the double bed very comfortable. There is a lovely bathroom and little kitchenette area and Pam provided us with a delicious breakfast which was a real highlight, especially the lemon and carrot marmalade! A warm welcome in a quiet and peaceful spot.

The Rabbit's Nest is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, family-friendly activities, and public transport. You’ll love it because of the cosiness, the view of the beach, the location, and the lovely people of Burghead. This beautiful flat is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families with kids.

  • This is a cozy little place on the top floor (of four) of a converted grainery building. It worked very well for us. My only complaint is that it was rather warm in the flat and we could not open any of the windows except the small on in the kitchen, so it was a bit stuffy. I really recommend it nevertheless.

  • Had a wonderful stay in the Rabbits Nest! Super clean and cozy, with gorgeous views of the ocean and a lovely little town to explore. Karen was incredibly helpful and kind, if I return to the area again I will be looking to book the Rabbits Nest!

  • The rabbit's nest is a super cozy place; all the decorations are very well thought out to provide the guest with a nice relaxing environment. Our three year old loved the bunk beds and the toys, he says, "Can I please stay there for a long time?". Burghead is stunning. Loved watching sunset over the ocean and taking strolls on the sandy beaches.

  • I stayed here with my husband and parents for two nights and it was lovely. The house is nice and clean and well equipped and the location right on the edge of town is beautiful. Therese was very helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place.

  • Ideal short break cottage. Everything you would need for a break is included in a very modern and clean house. Warm welcome from Therese in her adjacent house.

  • Very comfortable modern cottage just a minutes drive from Elgin. Excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities. Two comfortable bedrooms and nice sitting area. I stayed here for several months on a work assignment but it would also make a great holiday or short break home. Would thoroughly recommend. Therese keeps the house very clean and tidy but is not at all intrusive.

    Douglas2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay! Highly recommended. Therese showed us around the house and worked in with our arrival time. She explained and showed where everything was and how to use things. If we had any questions in the mean time she was always available. The house was perfect, just as described and pictured.

  • Therese's place is wonder. It's a stand alone cottage on the edge of town. Very clean with plenty of room. Therese is a great host. We'd definitely stay there again.

My place is close to great views, the beaches, Elgin, Lossiemouth, coastal walks, local amenities inc. 2 bars, 2 shops and a Chinese takeaway. You’ll love my place because of the views, the cosiness, friendly host, great location, 5 mins from the beach, great neighbourhood, very friendly neighbours who will tell you anything you want to know about the local area! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). If you have any Qs prior to booking please ask :)
My house is simple and homely, nothing especially stylish or modern! I've not long moved in and work in the area so the house will be renovated over time. But if you are looking for a bed to rest your head while you travel the Moray coast, then I am happy to oblige!
My neighbourhood and the general village are great! Everyone is extremely friendly, and the neighbours will always be ready to chat if you catch their eye! Everyone looks out for everyone around here so if i'm not in, feel free to ask them for any advice.
  • Laura's place is a wonderful place to stay. Hopeman is really a gem of a place to visit, and Laura's flat is close to the harbour and beaches there. Communication with Laura was flawless and her house clean and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at her flat in the future.

Had plenty of games and puzzles to keep the kids occupied. Ian was very generous and provided us with snacks, juice, milk and beer. Location is right next to the Harbor Inn restaurant and pub which has excellent food and drinks. Overall had a great stay and would recommend this place to others.

  • This place is a hidden gem! Great for 3 or 4 people in an ideal location close to the harbour and the lovely sandy beach. The sea view from the apartment is stunning and we got to see the dolphins too! Excellent value, clean and tidy with the Harbour Inn next door which we found excellent too. For the price you can't go wrong. We loved it here and we so sad to leave.

  • very nice accommodation in a small village in front of the sea. The surroundings are really nice and it is not too far by car from fort george and inverness (bit less than 1 hour). Very close to Elgin. The flat is nice and clean and very well equipped. Ian bought for us water, milk, butter and tea and coffee are freely available. He did kindly let us to enjoy a bottle of wine (but I think it is an exception). The house has a very good washing machine and drying machine. Beds are comfortable and you can really enjoy the dining room with tv. Well equipped kitchen! I surely suggest this accommodation.

  • Very pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive offering in the apartment. We found nothing lacking in the kitchen, living room, bathroom or bedrooms. The apartment was the ideal base for us to spend a few days visiting family in Elgin but we wished we had more time available to be in holiday mode in Burghead. Hopefully next time!

Lovely apartment situated in the popular coastal village of Hopeman, Morayshire. It consists of a bed/sitting room, kitchen/dining room and a shower/wc. 5 minutes walk from beautiful sandy beaches. It is 2 nights minimum stay. Sleeps 2 (+2 in sofa bed in same room)
Our welcoming home was the original school in Hopeman, dating around early 1800's. The apartment was the first classroom and is one of the oldest buildings in Hopeman. The village was started by fisherman who travelled along the coast from Ardersier, near Inverness. The apartment is a tastefully decorated in simple Swedish style. It has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room over looking our colourful garden. The bed/sitting room, with wet room we off offers an extremely comfortable (so our guests say!) double bed but also a small sofa bed which could easily accommodate 2 children at £10 extra per person. We can also provide a travel cot for babies/infants. There is a little 'starter food/breakfast' but there are a few shops nearby for your needs. It has a separate entrance from our accommodate so guests are free to come and go at their leisure.
Hopeman is a small friendly village on the Moray Coast Trail situated 6 miles from the Cathedral City of Elgin. 1 hour from Inverness and just under 2 hours from Aberdeen. With its beautiful sandy beaches and hidden coves within walking distance, it really is quite a gem! There are cycle/walking paths to the neighbouring villages of Duffus with it's castle ruins and Burghead - the latter being of particular interest to historians as it was built upon a Pictish Fort. The former is also home to GORDONSTOUN SCHOOL - therefore our apartment offers a handy bolt hole for leave out weekends, prospective pupils weekends or even for the interview candidate. Burghead has a working harbour where there are still number of fishing boats is a photographers' delight. Burghead has a visitors centre on the headland which has a fascinating look into the Picts, the annual, world famous 'burning of the Claivie and of course the history of the fishing industry in bygone days. Cycling/walking woods and forests are only 5 minutes drive/20 minutes cycle. Lossiemouth to the East has a water sports activity centre and is a surfing paradise for the active tourist. We are surrounded in golf courses -Hopeman, the Championship course of Moray (in Lossiemouth) and Nairn are all within 40minutes drive. The coastal trial is a joy to behold and a stroll to catch the evening sunset could even provide DOLPHINS. The Moray Firth is home to the fun loving bottle nose dolphins and these can often be seen near the shore on a calm day. Along the coastal path towards Lossiemouth offers the incredible site of little coves and bays with their many natural stacks. These are home to the Elegant Fulmer - a joy to see in its glided flight. Those interested in a 'dram' will not be disappointed! There are numerous distilleries to choose from in Moray and its neighbours. This is big whisky country! Hopeman holds a large annual gala in July which is one of the longest in Scotland - held over one week and offers activities for 0-90 year olds and holiday makers and villagers alike plan their annual leave around the dates. We look forward to giving you a warm, friendly, welcome! Jo and Malcolm
  • Jo and Malcolm were wonderful hosts! After hectic Edinburgh Hopeman was just what we needed. We loved every detail of the flat (especially the comfy bed and the floor heating in the bathroom). We were welcomed with a delicious apple cake which was a nice surprise. Additionaly, we were given many helpful advices what one could do around Hopeman. On our last evening we were invited to have a drink with our hosts which we also enjoyed very much. Thank you for everything!

    Lena2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and Malcolm were very welcoming. Apartment is very close to great beach in sunny Hopeman. Home made apple cake was very nice

    Sarah2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jo and Malcolm's beautiful home couldn't have been better. They gave us a very warm welcome with Jo's already famous apple pie (mhm!) and lots of good suggestions for what to do in Hopeman and around - all of them were wonderful experiences. We went for long walks on the shore, took a boattrip from Findhorn to see the coastal wildlife and took part in a guided tour to the Findhorn foundation. Already in our first chat with Jo we were surprised to find out how much we had in common and particularely enjoyed the time we could spend together. We would love to come back! The appartment is exactly as described, we particularely loved the lovely decoration, the beautiful small bathroom and the short distance to beach and shops.

  • My argentinean friend and I were absolutely delighted with Jo & Malcolm as they were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcoming!!! So many many thanks to both of you because we truly enjoyed our stay at your comfortable apartment and the best of it was to get to share time with you two at separate times to enjoy the amazing woodlands and beautiful surroundings... we only wished we had more time and were able to stay longer as there was so much to do!!!

  • Lianne and Pauline are superb hosts. They are warm, friendly, and fun, and they made us feel totally at home. Their home is in a beautiful area of Scotland, a bit far from major attractions, but worth it to be in the tranquil countryside instead of in an urban setting. We were sad to leave, and wish we had planned an extra day or two there.

  • Lianne and Pauline have everything you want or need for a great over-night stay. Their home, while old, has history and appeal and is comfortably welcoming. (I'm thinking of that stoked wood stove after a chilly walk in the rain.) Our bedroom with ensuite contained all the little things that show some thought and effort went into making us feel comfortable: a kettle with fixings for tea and coffee, a bottle of lemon water, an alarm clock, Kleenex, hooks and hangers to hang coats and clothes, and of course a comfortable bed. And the bathroom was stocked with shower gel, shampoo, lotion, q-tips, & feminine products. Breakfast was provided and enjoyed along with good conversation. Would definitely recommend a stay with Lianne and Pauline.

    Rocky2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lianne & Pauline were really quick getting back at me even tho it was a same day booking. They were very welcoming and I quickly felt like at home. The bedroom is big and cozy and the shower is hot just the way I like it. Very peaceful surroundings. I enjoyed breakfast talking to these lovely ladies and watching the birds flying outside the window. It is a lovely place to rest from a long drive around Scotland.

    Andreia2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This room is located on a working farm. It looks very rustic from the outside of the building, but the room is modern, clean and well decorated. Pauline was exceptionally friendly and made sure we were comfortable. I recommend staying here.

  • Clean caravan in a very calm environment. Peter is very flexible. A short walk on the shore is possible. Do not forget £2 coins for the electricity.

    Fabien2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed in Peter's caravan for 4 days. The caravan was clean, all appliances worked perfectly well. When I had some questions about switching the boiler on when arrived, Peter replied and helped quickly. Location is quite good, but you definitely need a car.

    Alex2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was able to accommodate a last minute request for which I was most grateful. It's an older caravan with basic amenities but Peter made that clear prior to booking. It's a quiet residential caravan site with no obvious amenities so provided you just want a bed for the night, it's in an excellent location for touring this beautiful part of the world.

    Jennifer2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's Static Carvan was a comfortable cozy stay for my self & my family we were 6 members, reached late and left the place at 0800 hrs as we were exploring Scotland . We missed prior coordination with Peter as his mail was received late as we were on move for the last 2 days could not reply early so resultantly faced problem in check in but later once the contact was established Peter briefed us all in detail about the Caravan. I must say it was a good choice with this money.

    Ahmed2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cheap, simple, good for one night stay. You pay 2£ to start the electricity (and hot water) and you should pay for the gas extra.

  • The caravan is basic but makes an ideal base for working or visiting the surrounding area. It's comfortable and clean and the caravan site is nice and quiet. Peter is a perfect host and can't do enough for you. We'll definitely be using the caravan again when in the area

(I am really fussy and like to go to a clean apartment. I could not fault it 10/10 for cleanliness) thanks for a great stay would definitely recommend. Sam & family.

    Samantha2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Gillian is a great host even providing some provisions and a lovely breakfast. So nicely done out. Would make perfect base for exploring the area. We will be back!

  • Gillian's place was absolutely wonderful! It's located in a quiet neighborhood within walking/driving distance to some cool town sites, as well as within fair driving distance to many distilleries. Gillian was incredibly friendly and left us with much information about local things to do. And we were happily surprised with the breakfast she left for us!

  • 10/10. Very modern, very clean. Perfect place to stay. Gillian is great! Croissants / bottled water / milk / fruit / teas & coffees all on arrival made our stay that little bit more special. We all had a cracking time & cannot give better praise. There are no bad points for this property.

    Ryan2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was as described, good communication from host, clean and tidy place and close to town centre.

Hopeman Cottage sleeps 4 to 6 people and is the perfect location for a scottish coastal holiday. The cottage is just 600m from the ancient harbour with stunning sheltered sandy beaches and coastal walks to explore on both sides of the village. This is a fantastic holiday home in one of the most popular and scenic fishing villages on the Moray Firth coast. Hopeman Cottage now has free WiFi for guests to use when they stay. This is our holiday home, and while you are there, it is your holiday home. We don't live nearby but if you need anything we know enough people who do! Hopeman is a fantastic village with a harbour, 2 beautiful beaches, a large, safe playing field and childrens play area (with one of the biggest slides you'll ever see!). Next door is the local chemist, up the road is a family butchers and across the road is a convenience store. There are also gift shops, take-aways (chinese and fish and chips) and of course a couple of great pubs. Inverness airport is just 45mins drive away or Elgin is a short bus-ride away with rail connections to anywhere else in the UK. Just a "heads-up" for any taller guests out there... the ceilings are quite low at the cottage - it's an old traditional stone fishermans cottage - so you do have to be careful not to bang your head on the light-fittings, ceilings and doorways!!!

  • A fantastic house. Very clean and warm. Had everything we needed for our short break and close to the shops too.

    Suzanne2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 4 nights in Hopeman and the cottage was a great base to explore the Moray coast. Shiona was a great host keeping us informed all the way through the process. The cottage had everything we needed. The only thing I found (being 6ft 3 tall) was I needed to remember to duck down as some of the doors and ceilings are low-although this wasn't s problem. Would definitely recommend a stay in this cottage.

    Mark2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Hopman Cottage. We didn't meet Shiona, but did meet her father who lives down the block. He met us when we arrived and showed us around the house and provided lots of helpful advice and details such as how to adjust the heat. The house was spotlessly clean and the bathroom is newly renovated. Things we enjoyed in the area: beaches, the beach trail at Hopeman, River Findhorn gorge, and the Highland Folklife Museum. Conveniently located to grocery store down the block. Just a heads up - there is a low doorway so mind your head ;-)

    Catherine2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time during our stay at Shiona’s place. The house itself is nice, cosy and perfectly clean. The location is pretty okay if you have access to a car. Very close to the seaside and some basic facilities like a pharmacy, supermarket and a take away. Nothing to complain about!

    Luke2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location and friendly neighbourhood. Local shops very helpful and harbour walks were brilliant!

    Clarence2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a lovely stay at Shiona's holiday home. The house was perfect for our group of 4 people. Nice and roomy lounge, warm, plus a lovely new bathroom. Some extra supplies in the cupboard, to borrow if needed, was a good touch. We were shown around by Shiona's father and given all the information needed for an enjoyable stay. Shops close at hand for milk etc, plus an easy walk to the beach. We loved exploring along the coast - fossicking for the pretty coloured rocks, a run along the beach track, playing golf at the local golfclub.

    Anna2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • House requires a little TLC main lounge and dining room/ 3rd bedroom (not used as bedroom) sufficient for our requirements on this visit. Taps in kitchen not working properly. Street noise and seagulls a little annoying. Low door entrance to main house and kitchen should be highlighted.

    Janis2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great opportunity to stay in a place from where you can walk easily to the beach. Shops really close by and also a cafe and specialist ice cream shop.

My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Firth View is a lovely spacious home to relax and enjoy, the covered outside area is great for barbeques, or sit in the sun room and watch the surfers on the water. Nearby within walking distance is Hopeman Golf Club, where visitors are welcome. The large play park also has a skate park for the older kids. There are lovely coastal walks along the two beaches where you can watch the Moray Firth Dolphins
  • Absolutely loved our stay here!! Comfy cozy little house with everything you could possibly need, less than a minute's walk from the beach! We spent hours exploring the beaches after our adventures around Inverness and came back to gloriously hot showers and baths (it's a bit short but wonderfully deep). Would definitely stay here again!

  • "Firth View" was absolutely wonderful! The house is spotless, thoughtfully and well-appointed for vacationing families. Its location just steps from the North Sea offers stunning views in all directions. Beverley was great to work with, and solicitous and helpful with our questions about the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Basic farm worker's cottage with a wee room looking out into the orchard at the back of the house. Rustic and earthy but with fresh paint work and crisp curtains! Soft mellow light, from the North.
There are steps up into the house, but inside it's all on one level. The bedroom is small, just room for the single bed, a chest of drawers and bedside lamp. The bathroom is also quite small, there is a bath, wash hand basin and loo, and it's shared with myself. You can use the kettle, the cooker and a cafetiere. No television, but plenty of books, so the atmosphere is really peaceful - a perfect retreat. I do have a cat, but she is quite private so won't get in your face!
I have few and wide-spread neighbours so it's idyllically quiet. Just 5 miles from the Findhorn Foundation and the sea, it's a perfect place to stay for easy distance if you are wanting to get to Findhorn.
  • Nice place to stay, maybe a bit tricky to find! Lovely and welcoming host, wich gave me many advices and tips where I can go. I love the charm of her cute small house, gorgeous. The bed cozy. I would definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Jasmin2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • A small hide away cottage. Ideal if looking for a retreat or cheap place to stay. Kirsty was friendly. Best to arrive in the light as may be difficult to find in the dark.

    Susan2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Kirsty's place was a one of its kind experience! I'm sure you won't find a place and a host like this anywhere. Kirsty is such a kind, welcoming and sincere person, who made my stay at her house to something very outstanding. It was just like home for me. If you get the chance to see this story book like cottage and to enjoy Kirsty's hospitality and kindness you'll understand what I'm talking about.

My place is close to Elgin city centre and all services including Dr Grays Hospital; rail and bus connections to Inverness and Aberdeen airports. Stunning coast line, huge sandy beaches, coastal footpath and famous dolphins. Spectacular Findhorn Bay and the Findhorn Community. The Speyside Whisky trail and distilleries. Beautiful rivers Findhorn and Spey. Cairngorm Mountains are within easy reach. Morayshire has a particular mild micro climate and long sunshine hours for its latitude.
28 Hill Street is a ground floor apartment with its own private front/entrance. It has been sensitively furnished to provide comfortable living space and a separate double bedroom. The sofa is easily converted into a single bed for an overnight guest. The shower room/toilet houses a washing machine. The apartment has gas central heating and an auxiliary electric stove. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas 4 ring hob, a microwave/convector oven and fridge. The double bedroom window looks out over the apartment's small private garden.
Elgin is sometimes known as 'Little Edinburgh' due to its Georgian city centre design and architecture. 28 Hill Street overlooks Ladyhill, which is a late 11th or early 12th century earthwork motte and bailey fortress, built from a natural hillock, which was mentioned in a 1160 charter of King Malcolm IV. Built In 1296 and 1303 during the Wars of Independence, King Edward I occupied the castle, which was taken and destroyed by the Scots in 1308. Never rebuilt, the motte is crowned by the remnant of eastern wall cores, which may represent the remains of a tower or the Chapel of Our Lady. Today Lady Hill is topped by the impressive 1839 memorial column to George, 5th Duke of Gordon . A footpath leads you to the top from where there are fine views of the city centre and surrounding landscape. Close by the flat runs the pretty River Lossie bordered by footpaths. Ancient Quarrel Wood with its myriad of footpaths and cycle tracks is 5-10 mins walk away.
  • Clean, warm, cosy, quiet. Perfect

  • My husband and I had a lovely stay. The flat was located perfectly central, flat is a 5 minute walk to the High Street. Our check in with Malcolm gave us a warm and friendly welcome. The flat was clean and equipped with all that we needed during our stay. We appreciated having the extra space during our visit to Elgin. We recommend staying here and would book again.

Beautiful light and spacious Eco-House in the Findhorn Foundation Park and Ecovillage. There are two bedrooms, a large kitchen and living room and a conservatory.
This is a high spec Eco house which would make a wonderful base for a couple or family and can take up to 5 people. It is warm and comfortable with a kitchen and living space upstairs and the 2 bedrooms downstairs. This is our family home and we are renting it out while we are away and so it is important to know that we do have children's toys and some belongings in the space. You are welcome to use these but we want you to know that it is not completely empty. The house is within a lovely group of eco-houses with stunning gardens, within the Findhorn Foundation Park Community and Ecovillage. The beach is a 5 minute walk through a pine forest and dunes behind the house. It is a quiet and peaceful location. The traditional Findhorn Village can be reached by walking.
The Findhorn Foundation Park is a learning centre and ecovillage, surrounded by a stunning Scottish landscape of beach, bay and forest. Expect a miracle...

My Home is positioned near the Town center and has a guests sitting area in our large garden. We are walking distance to one of Morays 40 odd Distilleries Glen Moray Distillery. Elgin itself is a very old City steeped in history. It has a ruined Cathedral dating from the 14th. Century. There are plenty of eating houses near to our house all offering something different. We are retired hoteliers but still enjoy meeting visitors and catering for them.
We have only two letting bedrooms both with private facilities which overlook our garden space. Between the bedrooms there is a small sun porch/lounge for visitors to enjoy. Breakfast is taken in a very traditional dining room and you will have the offer of a real Scottish Breakfast.Checking in and checking out times will always suit the guest. Rates are for 4 guests using the two rooms but we will accept enquiries for 2 guests using one room at half the rate quoted.
  • Ken is a great host, the location is great and he really makes you welcome. The town is very close and the eateries are all within a couple of minutes flat walking. The house is very clean as are the bedrooms and amenities, highly recommended to you.

  • Ken and his wife are very friendly and helpful. Ken showed us the city so we knew where to go. We also got a lot of great tipps for restaurants and places to go. The location is close to the city center and basically everything is in walking distance (supermarket, bars, restaurants, a destillery... :)). The breakfast was absolutely delicious (and we had the pleasure to have a traditional scottish breakfast)! Thank you so much for the great time in Elgin, Ken and Sandra :)
