“I like outdoor activities so visiting the Conjunto Monumental de La Alcazaba is one of my favorite things to do in Almería. You can visit this fortress for free. I recommend doing a tour with one of the guides who’ll bring the essence of this Moorish fortress to life. Be prepared to climb to get to the fortress, I promise it will be worth it as the views are amazing! ”

“Almeria was declared Gastronomic Capital of Spain for 2019. Currently Almeria has 31,614 hectares of greenhouses and is often called the Pantry of Europe. Each month of the year Almeria will have a different theme to showcase their local produce and typical recipes. This city is the home to amazing people, food, and culture. The local people are very friendly and the food, the drinks and the views are spectacular! The challenge is that many places are not designed with English speaking tourists in mind... So I can recommend you the gastronomic tour "Secrets of Almería" to start your trip. Www.secretsofalmeria.com What does the tour includes: This is a 4-5 hour walking tour. Be prepared to walk, eat and drink your way through the historic neighborhood of Almería!! You will enjoy a tour of the central market, eat at some of good tapas bars and be sprinkled in bits of historical information, make quick stops to interesting sites along the way and point out great places to check out after the tour...but most importantly a lot of fun the Spanish way! Food and drinks included - pre set menu. If you have special food needs, please state at booking so that they can accommodate.”
