  • Raquel's cave was awesome!!! Hands down the best place I've ever stayed. Such a unique and authentic experience. The cave is cozy and decorated perfectly. Raquel was a helpful, outgoing, and welcoming host. She made our stay very comfortable. She provided eggs, juice, bread, and other breakfast items which was an added plus. She even cleaned our dishes each day which was unexpected and so nice. The location of the cave was a 20 min the walk to the Alhambra and 20 mins to the city center. Would absolutely come back to Granada just to stay in this cave house! Great experience!

  • What a beautiful cave and garden. Great views and location.Raquel was the perfect host and provided us with breakfast, recommendations and was keen to make sure we were comfortable in every way. We were in Granada during a heatwave and the cool of the cave was a welcome retreat.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this cute and cozy cave. Great location with a great view of Alhambra and yummy local eats within 1-2 minutes walking distance and that's not even in the heart of the city. Keep in mind the bathroom is right outside of the cave and quite tiny but we were surprisingly OK with it for three girls. Couldn't get wifi in the apartment, but if you sat outside with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine you could easily get it. We weren't able to meet Raquel but her daughter was very helpful and so kind. It's a little hike to the center of town (20 minutes-ish) but we found that if we wanted one getting a cab was pretty easy.

  • Raquel is a kind lady with a warm heart. We had some difficulty making it to her place due to holy week. We arrived at the entrance to Sacramonte just a few minutes after 7 but the streets had already been closed for the processions. Eventually, (an hour and a half later, after trying three routes to the cave we gave up) we made our way to the cave house on foot after parking in a paid parking lot. The cave, the adjoining garden and the bathroom are all kept very clean and the cave is very quiet at night. We had an impressive view from the hill where the cave is located of both the Santa Semana processions that passed by and the Alhambra, which is only about a 15 minute walk away. There are also several famous Flamenco clubs within a few hundred feet of the cave. There is no wifi in the cave or garden and mobile service was spotty from outside the cave. Also, it wasn't entirely clear to us from the listing that you must exit the cave to enter the bathroom. This would be a great place for a group of friends traveling together or for people with older children. Also, Raquel was very helpful in getting us a taxi to the Alhambra our first night even though many of the streets were closed. We were able to walk back around midnight without any trouble.

  • We stayed in the house for 3 days and we loved it! It's very cozy and pretty in the inside as well as the outside. provided us with everything that we needed. If it wasn't for the morning light that comes in, I could totally live there! I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who's looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay.

  • Probably one of our best Airbnb stays we booked so far. Even better then expected from photo's and description. Accommodation, host and location are all as good as it gets. We stayed for a couple of nights with Raquel and although the accommodation is just around a corner in her backyard it felt both private and comforting. It's quite spacey and extremely clean. There's plenty of room to relax both in- and outside. Shower (warm water) and toilet are just outside in a small separate space but that was no problem at all. Feels like just another room or any other normal bathroom for that matter. The temperature in the cave is actually really nice in the summer, it's cool and feels much better then a air conditioned room. It can feel a bit clammy but it didn't bother us and it should definitely not withhold you from booking. Raquel invited us very friendly and explained plenty about the neighbourhood. She's located in Sacremonte which is an older Granada neighbourhood filled with small restaurants, flamenco shows and bars. Going to the city centre (or Alhambra) is 15 - 20 min away by feet. Plenty of busses if you mind the walking. We were never bored during our 4 days of stay ;) Small side note, it's a bit tricky to get there by car, since this part of the city is partly closed for cars most of the day. If you can get in, we wouldn't recommend it for the streets are really narrow and mostly steep. Better to park your car in one of the the city parkings or like we did in the Carretera de Murcia (which is a large main street). It's free and we walked for 15-20 min to the accommodation. Overall, highly recommended!!

  • The cave is amazing. It has been an experience staying in a cave house. Much colder than expected though. Raquel is very friendly. As it's a cave, there's no water/plumbing inside. Toilet is outside the cave. Great view and we can see alhambra from the rooftop.

  • Raquel was a wonderful host. We arrived and Raquel helped us with our bags up the little hill to her cave. She provided us with bread, juice, coffee, butter, jam and milk. Raquel were very kind to wash the dishes up for us. The one double bed mattress was not super comfortable and it was a little bit cold inside the cave. The bathroom was small and a few feet outside the entrance to the cave, but the shower and hot water worked well. Close walk to Alhambra and center city (20 minutes). Great views of Alhambra on the top terrace.

  • Absolutely amazing place, we planned to explore granada but ended up spending most of our time in the grounds of the Carmen, or in the Albaicin, which is rich in excellent bars and restaurants, and enough small supermarkets and butchers to keep us in stock! In a word - beautiful. We'll definitely be back.

  • Stunning home in the perfect Granada location. A very special place. Having a pool just made it even more perfect. It was a pleasure dealing with Viveca, who always responded promptly. Lili, was a most lovely guide to the neighborhood. A wonderful experience.

    Marisa2016-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Hans and Viveca's place in Granada. The villa is in a fantastic location, and is even more beautiful than what can be seen in the pictures. The housekeeper was also very helpful during our stay.

    Jonathan2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • A house in albaycin. Tucked away in a quiet enclave is this almost beit style house, in an elevated position with a super swimming pool and a top floor roof terrace from which one can watch the sun set over Granada sipping sherry and bask in the mediaeval contours of the vast alhambra palace that sits proudly on the next ridge. The house is full of books and pictures and is a haven of civilisation, ancient and modern. Lili was charming and very helpful coming round several times to help out. We loved it and will be back.

    Edward2016-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was huge and the enclosed yard had a nice garden and pool. It was in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from many restaurants and stores. It was also within walking distance of the center of town but it is all uphill on the way back. The only problem was that we had a rental car and parking was not convenient.

    Jonathan2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • To frame our visit, we (Californians) rented the villa as a home base for our daughter's nearby wedding. She didn't say with us though. It was her parents, three siblings, grandmother and one close family friend couple. There were a total of 8 of us. Six were in the main house and our two friends used the guest house. We were there for 5 nights. The other side of the wedding party stayed at another Airbnb nearby and their experience could not have been more opposite of ours which simply enhances our already positive experience at this home. The location was in Albayzin with a terrace rooftop view of the Alhambra. Wow! The house was gigantic with more quirky and interesting decor than we've ever seen in any house ever. If felt like we were staying in a lived-in home rather than a shell just used for rentals. We loved that aspect of it. The rooms were huge and when many windows were open, the cross breeze was fabulous. Honestly, the house was quite eclectic but, in our eyes, without fault. We made very good use of the huge swimming pool which was also gorgeous. The gardens has that "secret garden" feel to it with winding paths among the greenscape. The tiled garage was the perfect area for the flamenco dancers and musician we hired for a cocktail party we had for about 30 there. Plenty of space in the garden for caterers to setup and serve. This is an ideal house for a special occasion for many reasons. We grade it an A+ and dream of an opportunity to rent it again. Communication and helpfulness of Lili, the property's caretaker, and Viveca, the property manager were stellar and way above par. This Airbnb rental (of quite a few we have used globally) was #1 for us. Many thanks to Lili and Viveca for making our special event even that much more special!

  • We were 3 couples staying 3 nights over a weekend. Communication before arrival excellent and lovely to be greeted by several family and friends who helped with bags and gave us a tour of the local area pointing out shops and restaurants. Extensive gardens but really the only bit we used was the table outside and the area around the pool. Pool area very nice, lovely to lie in sun in an afternoon. Pool quite cold but we gave it a go! Inside house absolutely stuffed with antiques, nik-nacks, pictures etc. A true credit to Lili on housekeeping that not a speck of dust! Kitchen small but adequately equipped, although we did not cook at all. Nearby restaurants lovely, did not go into central Granada for dinner as so nice to have views over the Alhambra at night. Would need a very small car to get up the lane to park at the property, but the local free car park was no problem. Would recommend to anyone, although the interiors may not be to everyones taste, but that is part of the fun. Be aware that the master bedroom in very much bigger and 'superior' to the other 2 doubles in the main house. We had a really great time.

  • We had a lovely stay in the villa, which is as nice as it looks on the photos. We were warmly welcomed by the family's housekeeper, who showed us the house and even gave us a little tour of the neighbouthood . The villa's location is great, very quiet, in Granada's most pretty neighbourhood and only 3 minutes away from shops and restaurants. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. The interior decoration corresponds to the fotos, not for amateurs of modern, clean design, but totally appropriate for the kind of house it is. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very comfortable. The master bedroom is an apprtment in itself with en suite bathroom, private salon and terrace. The most stunning thing about the villa however is the roof terrace and the adjacent veranda with its fabulous frontal view on the Alhambra, the Generalife and the Sierra Nevada. We spent hours there enjoying the view and the light. We had a wonderful stay and recommend the villa.

The interiors are modern and bright. Neutral colors, stone and parquet flooring, original artwork and contemporary design furniture contrast with the rustic effect of the terrace garden - creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Furnished with 2 sofas, coffee table, desk table and chairs. TV, hi-fi and a large collection of books on architecture and interior design. The Albaicín is a colourful and charming traditional neighbourhood set in the very heart of Granada. Made up of a network of winding streets and small squares rising up on a hill facing the Alhambra, the area is bordered by the Darro River and by the commercial centre of the city. Once the site of the Moorish citadel, the Alcazaba, the area still retains a sense of its past in its architecture - many of the churches were built on the foundations of mosques. Today, parts of the Albaicín have taken on a distinctly North African feel with many tearooms and small shops selling Morroccan goods. Wander through the streets and you'll find wonderful views, a wide variety of restaurants and many terrace bars - where you get a free tapa with your drink as is the custom in Granada. For the best view in town, head for the lively Mirador de San Nicolás where you can contemplate the whole of the Alhambra with the peaks of Sierra Nevada as a backdrop. As the poet said, "Give him charity, girl, as there is nothing worse in life than being blind in Granada"! Highlights: View of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás Casa de Castril, the archaeological museum Arab Baths - both historic remains and a modern version Churches and Moorish city gates
  • This lovely house is like a little piece of paradise. From the shady terrace under the fig tree to the amazing views of the Alhambra from the bedroom window, every part of the house is tranquil, beautiful and well designed. It was very clean, fully equipped, and spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house, and would love to return again someday.

Located in the Albaicín, the historic center of Granada, in a neighborhood with narrow streets, small squares, incredible views to the Alhambra, shops and the typical “tapas bars” nearby. Perfect for groups: three bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living, big kitchen and three bathrooms. It has a wonderful private garden and outstanding views from the balconies. AC, Heater, WIFI and a fully equiped house.
It is a house built in a Carmen, the typical moorish house: house with a garden. The house is quintessential Albayzin style. It has all you need to make you feel at home. Balconies overlooking the Alhambra, San Miguel Alto and the Albayzin. The house has a garden big enough which allows you to enjoy it with privacy: 125 m2 of garden. It has a barbacue, garden furnitures, fruit trees, etc.
Magic, vibrant. Main places at a walk, where you can get anything you need. Flamenco shows near by, terraces, bars, restaurants, etc. Best location to enjoy the real life of the arabic town: Albayzin.
  • Antonio's place is really nice. It's very well located within the old city and everything is in walking distance. The apartment is well suited for large groups like our own (9) and has a wonderful garden. The neighbourhood is quiet. Antonio was really helpful and attentive, so I can surely recommend staying at his place.

  • Belén and Antonio were wonderful hosts! They were attentive and quick to respond. They were generous in sharing their experiences and provided recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The house felt homey and clean and the best part was their amazing patio with fruit trees and a grill. We hope to return to Granada and stay at the quintessential house again!

  • Can't go wrong with this place. There is plenty of room for everyone. The view of the Alhambra is not bad at all. The location is far up the hill enough that you get a nice view but just a quick walking distance from the happening places. Parking is a bit adventurous but the hosts disclose this info well ahead of time. I wish there was a bathroom on the top floor. My wife and child went with another family. They occupied the middle floor that had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It made sense for them to stay together since their 2 kids were bigger, thus they occupied the other room. However, my family stayed on the top floor but the bathroom was at the bottom floor which was very inconvenient. Everything is else is cozy.

Beautiful low located in the heart of albaycin, touching the skirts of alhambra, bus stops, taxis, everything to 5 min, quiet at night and with a great panoramic terrace, where you can relax taking a shower or sunbathing. :)
    Building of 6 apartments, quiet
The Albaycín is the old Arab quarter. It includes the area located between the hill of the Alhambra, the hill of San Cristóbal, the Sacromonte and the Elvira street The Albaycín constitutes a separate world in the whole of Granada. This is due to the strong Muslim influence. It was in this place that the first Muslim court was erected in the eleventh century, the zirí. The city descended by San Nicolas to the margins of the Darro River, populated with luxurious cármenes and endowed with splendid public baths, as the ones of the Bañuelo show. The maximum moment of splendor of the Albaycín was in the last years of the Nasrid domain, a population of more than forty thousand inhabitants and thirty mosques. The streets were very narrow and the houses small and clean, in addition to numerous cisterns, some of which have reached our days. after the conquest of the Muslims he assigned them as their own place of residence the Albaycín district. But, very soon the population was going to become rare. The constant uprisings forced the monarchs to expel from the Kingdom those who practiced the Muslim religion. The mosques were demolished and on the same sites rose the many churches that today populate it. The Moors left their houses and the rich Christians of the lower city took advantage of them to build sumptuous cármenes. This is a neighborhood to relax, to explore all its streets and discover things that do not come in any guide. No visit to the Albaycín can be complete without admiring the panorama of the neighborhood from the Alhambra; for something the kings of Granada built their palace up there. The Albaycín is a neighborhood to live the atmosphere of its tapas bars and terraces. And as a point and followed, there is no end here, to contemplate a sunset over the Alhambra, at the precise moment when it is dyed red.
  • This place is amazing. Very well decorated, clean, and a central location. The terrace has an incredible view of the Alhambra. Danielito is available to answer any questions. It is so affordable too!

    Gretchen2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I really couldn't recommend highly enough both Danielito and his lovely apartment. He is super helpful and friendly and the place is just enough off the beaten track to be peaceful and quiet, yet near enough to lots of great bars and restaurants. Walk up behind and you get amazing views of the Alhambra and city and cross the river nearby and there is a beautiful back path up to the palace along winding rivers and woods. In the evening we went up onto the roof terrace and had a glass of wine with almost 360 degree views of the city and Alhambra. Great value and a unique, cosy place to stay. We will come again in the summer! Thanks so much Danielito.

    des2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Danielito's place was in a fantastic location - close to restaurants, shops and attractions, but nice and quiet because it was one street back from all the action! The house itself had everything we needed, and the terrace with the view of the Alhambra was a great place to visit at sunset and spend the evening. My favourite thing about the place, though, was Danielito. He was tremendously accommodating, and really kind about holding onto our luggage and granting us access to the terrace on our last day before an evening flight. Highly recommended!

    Rosie2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Danielito's place was a beautiful, traditional Andalusian home located in the perfect area. With a breath-taking view of the Alhambra from the lovely terrace, the apartment was everything we had hoped for and more. Danielito was very communicative and always easy to reach. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone!

  • Wow! ...The view of the Alhambra from the rooftop terrace is breathtaking. We enjoyed a sunset with dinner on the terrace and was by far my favorite night of our trip. The apartment is super cute too and in a perfect location. Daniel gave great recommendations and was right there in case we had any problems ... which we didn't. I would highly recommend Daniel and Vera's place for your stay in Granada !

  • Perfect place in a wonderful location. We spent only one night in Danielito's apartment but it was absolutely an amazing experience. The apartment is really clean, cozy, colorful and magical, full of Spanish and Arabic details. We loved the terrace on the rooftop from which you can have a beautiful view of the Alhambra and the city centre. Danielito is very kind and friendly. Encantadas

Do you want to sleep at the foot of the Alhambra? Sixteenth century house restored and with Arabic decoration, views of the Alhambra, 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, two terraces, lounge, kitchen and tea room. Do you want to sleep at the foot of the Alhambra? Sixteenth century house restored and with Arabic decoration, views of the Alhambra, 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, two terraces, lounge, kitchen and tea room.
Beautiful house type "Carmen" of the XVI century, with Arabic decoration in front of the Alhambra very close to the prestigious street "PASEO DE LOS TRISTES". With seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, the whole family can stay. You can take the tea, on the upper terrace watching the Nasrid palaces of the Alhambra. DECOR: The Arabic style is characterized mainly by three fundamental aspects: color, geometric forms and sensuality. For accessories look for tones like orange, ocher, tile, fuchsia, mauve or even a deep green. As for the main materials in Arabic decoration, wood is the main star, especially for furniture. For accessories we can use clay for vessels, vases or containers, or forged iron for lanterns or mirrors. A carmen is a type of urban dwelling typical of the city of Granada (Spain), with an annexed green space, garden and vegetable garden at the same time.1 The carmen is a closed space to the outside, surrounded by walls of some two meters of height , Usually blanqueadas, with leafy vegetation. It is typical of the neighborhoods located in the hills of the city, Albaicín and Realejo. WALKING OF THE SAD: The Paseo de los Tristes is undoubtedly one of the most romantic and charming places in Granada. It is world renowned for its original view of the Alhambra in contrapicado, an imposing and majestic view of the Nazarite palace that haunts every visitor who approaches this place. The Alhambra - The Most Visited Monument in Spain Visitors often wonder: What is the Alhambra? What can I see in the Alhambra? The Alhambra is castle and fortress, royal palace and city, gardens and summer retreat, the Alhambra is all that and much more. Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, it was the jewel of the Nasrid kingdom that came to encompass all of Almeria, Malaga and Granada, as well as parts of other provinces. The Royal Palaces and Patios, the City and the Fortress The whole of the Alhambra is more than a palace, it is a walled citadel within the city of Granada. It has real rooms, fortresses, gardens, courtyards, barracks, etc ... all surrounded by an impressive wall. The Alcazaba It is the purely military part of the enclosure. The buildings that are preserved date back to the 13th century.
World Heritage in Granada The Alhambra, the Generalife and the Albaicín district make up the World Heritage property in Granada. It was in 1984 when the Alhambra and the Generalife were registered; Ten years later, in 1994, an international team of UNESCO technicians visited the Albaicin: the World Heritage Committee, at a meeting held on 17 December 1994, approved the proposal to include the neighborhood unanimously. It began to settle in Iberian times, and there was dispersed Roman settlement. There is no data of Islamic settlement prior to the arrival of the Berber Zirids, so it is assumed that the city was abandoned from the end of the Roman Empire to the founding of the Zirí kingdom (1013) that was when it was surrounded by walls (Alcazaba Cadima ). It is one of the ancient nuclei of Muslim Granada, along with the Alhambra, Realejo and Arrabal de Bib-Arrambla, on the flat part of the city.
  • This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Everything we wanted and more. My friends and I loved the location, the house was AMAZING and Maria and Manual were very good at being responsive and answering all our questions. I 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Granada.

    Sagar2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We were traveling in Andalusia an visited Cordoba and Seville before heading to Granada. In both cities we were very satisfied with our apartments. The house of Maria however was the best experience with Airbnb so far. We were met at the park house by Maria and she organized the transfer by taxi to the house herself. The house is in the center of the Albyzin right across the Alhambra. It is newly renovated in oriental style, furniture, painting, lamps etc. Everything fits in this traditional style. From the terrace you can see the Alhambra, a beautiful sight especially in the evening. A short walk of 10 min. brings you to the center (Cathedral) 20 min. to the parking lot which Maria provides. We were only three persons in this house but is really was worth it. Go there even if you are a small group, you will not regret it. At the end of our stay Maria brought us back to the car an made sure, that everything went well with the taxi. Summary: I cannot think of a better lovelier place in Granada. Go there, enjoy it, it is really a lovely experience.

  • This apartment is ideal for the perfect Granada vacation. If you have a big family or multiple families coming together this place is perfect. We were four and enjoyed the ample room. The outdoor spaces are perfect for relaxing. The service was great. I highly recommend this apartment.

  • Better take a taxi, the roads are small and wending, many one way street, and GPS don’t work. But it is beautiful and worth visiting.

  • The house was fantastic! You can't get a better location and view to the Alhambra than this!

    Eddie2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most beautiful houses we've ever been to. It was absolutely fabulous. The location was great, with the view of Alhambra from the apartment itself, and it being in the middle with nearly all the recommended tourist attractions only walking distance away. The hosts were wonderful and I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is visiting Granada

The master trumps of my flat in Granada are the big et sunny rooms, the terrasse with view to the park, the quietness and the opportunity to park free at the door (a real luxury in Granada!).
The apartment is located at the top of the historical quarter of Albaicín, a quiet quarter, just in front of a park. My apartment is on the second and last floor of the building, so it is very bright. The dining or sitting room gives on to a large balcony or terrace facing a park with splendid views of the south and west of the Vega of Granada, and the far horizon and Sierra Elvira Mountain. You usually get some amazing sunsets! The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There is also a normally quiet community open-air swimming pool in the housing development which is open from June 15th to September 15th (due to works, the pool is closed during the summer 2017). There is a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook. For shopping for food you can get everything at Plaza Larga where there is a supermarket, bakery, ironmonger’s, greengrocer’s fishmongers and you can also buy newspapers, tobacco and arts craft, etc. Nearer, just a 3 minutes’ walk, there is also a grocer’s where you can also shop for excellent vegetables and fruit. If you have a car, Alcampo shopping mall is just a ten-minute drive.
The Plaza Larga, which is the centre of the high Albaicín, is just 7 minutes’ walk if you cross under the Puerta de Fajalauza in the Arabic Wall. The Paseo de los Tristes, which is the centre of the lower Albaicín, is a 15-minute walk, if you go down the Cuesta del Chapiz while having some beautiful views of The Alhambra and the Sacromonte quarter. The city centre of Granada (Plaza Nueva, Plaza Bib-Rambla, the Catedral) is 15 minutes walking by crossing the Albaicín. Both the Albaicín and the Sabika (on top of which is the Alhambra) are hills, which means some amount of up-hill and down-hill walking. Going downhill is always pleasant; going up… it just depends on how many bags one is carrying, on the heat, on how tired you are! The famous (and crowded) Mirador de San Nicolás is about 9 minutes away across Plaza Larga. The Mirador de San Cristobal is at the same distance. You can also have a splendid 20-to-25- minute walk to the Alhambra if you go down Cuesta del Chapiz and then go up the Cuesta del Rey Chico, which is also called Cuesta de los chinos popularly. There is also a bus (no. 34 bus) which departs from Gran Vía and goes up the Alhambra though, frankly, walking up the slope is really part of the experience of the visit. On the high Albaicín there are of course many places of interest: the Church of San Miguel Bajo, The Dar-Al-Horra Palace, etc. If you want to go out at night Albaicín is a quiet relaxing quarter. In my opinion the best terraces are: Plaza de San Miguel Bajo, Plaza de Aliatar, Plaza Larga, Plaza de San Nicolás. In the lower Albaicín, the best places are around the Carrera del Darro (Archeological museum, the Arabic baths, Casa de Porras, etc.). In the evening there are more people in this area of Albaicín but truly, you can’t miss having a drink at the terraces of Paseo de los Tristes at the foot of the high-rising Alhambra! Just five minutes on foot from my flat, on the road to Murcia, is the oldest family-owned enterprise in Granada (probably also in Spain!) called Fajalauza. It is a ceramics factory founded in 1640 and is still owned by the Morales family who are descendants of the Moriscos (the Moors) who started it. The tiles and ceramics are still hand-painted and they respect the tradition of colours and patterns which made Granada’s ceramics so famous. Actually the tiles in my balcony were made there. To sum up, choosing my apartment is to live in the country just a stone’s throw from the city centre. If you don’t know Granada, you will soon realize that this blend of country and old urban development is one of the enchantments of this city.

  • We very much enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. For us, the location was perfect -easily accessible by road with safe parking outside in a peaceful and scenic neighbourhood, in walking distance down into the old town with its wonderful maze of narrow streets and alleys. The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped, spacious rooms and a lovely balcony looking out over the park. It's also a home with a individual and special feel and we felt it a privilege to stay there.

  • We enjoyed staying in Isabelle's cosy appartment (we even booked an extra night while being there): foto's are correct, view from the terrace is wonderful, breakfast on the terrace is a top holiday feeling, small shops and excellent restaurants and bars only 10 minutes walk (down hill). Thank you Isabelle for the usefull information on how to walk to the city centre, best restaurants in the neighbourhood. Excellent WIFI. Free parking next to the appartment but no car required to visit Granada! We loved your place! Very helpfull host!

Make sure to consult Isabelle's excellent instructions for getting around town. Isabelle was very attentive to our needs when it became necessary to communicate with her during our stay.

  • We loved staying at the above property which is perfectly located in the heart of the old town. A real hip place with lots of different spaces to enjoy including the fab pool, but also close to lots of nearby restaurants and bars. We were cycling for a few days and the house was perfect for reaching all parts of Granada and the surrounding areas. I'd recommend stopping here and will hopefully be back some day!

  • We rented this great place for a gathering of friends before a wedding in town. Though we didn't sleep here, everyone was amazed at the place and had a great time. The pool was a nice treat, though a bit cold in mid-October. The next-door neighbour politely asked us to keep the noise down when it got a little loud early in the evening but then became hyper-sensitive later in the evening. I can't say I blame her since she must deal with this relatively frequently. Highly recommended!

Charming renovated cave, 100 m2 with large terrace and fabulous views, in the heart of Sacromonte. Very easy access. 2 minutes from a bus stop and only a 10 minute walk from Granada centre, adjoining the Albaicín neighbourhood.
The cave is in the centre of the Sacromonte neighbourhood. From its 80m2 patio at the front of the cave you can enjoy the magnificent scenery in the open air. The kitchen is fully equipped. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
  • Beatriz and Alex wen above and beyond what would have been expected of them to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Staying in their cave was an amazing experience.

    Raul2015-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation is a unique experience in a unique environment just out of the Granada city centre. The history of the caves in the area of Sacromonte is intriguing and to be able to experience this accommodation brings a visit here to a whole new level. Betty (Beatriz) is a wonderful host who took her time to help us make the most of our stay in Granada. The cave is very pretty, clean, neat and tidy and has all the comforts you would expect in any good accommodation. The constant comfortable temperature inside the cave is something to experience in its own right. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, wifi works well in the living area and good TV. It is very close to the main city area of Granada...12 minute walk through beautiful cobble stoned streets along the river with amazing views to the Alhambra! The immediate area surrounding the cave is a must visit part of Granada in its own right with magic streets and village atmosphere. Things to be mindful of include: mobile phone reception only worked near the front door and outside, wifi did not work in the bedroom( this is a good thing!) three flights of steps from nearest street up to front door and some noise from passers by at night. I would recommend a visit.

  • Beatriz 'cave house' was great - well located, clean and good facilities. Beatriz & her husband made us very welcome, collected us when we got lost, left lovely bread for us to eat & gave us great ideas for walking. Recommended

  • We had a wonderful stay in Betty's house cave. The house was well equipped, clean and a great experience for the family. I'm addition, Betty has a stack of brochures from food suggestions to city maps. Not to mention taxi number, etc...

  • Staying at the cave was a truly exceptional experience. Kept us cool in over 100F heat! It is conveniently located and we never once had to take the bus (though it is available). It is indeed on a hill but that provides great views of the Alhambra. Betty sat down with us and gave us great recommendations on things to do and sites to see. Highly recommend!

    Marisa2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Betty gave us clear instructions for meeting her and then gave us a great welcome and lot's of good advice on Granada. The cave is very clean, has everything needed (included breakfast for day one!) and is very comfortable. We really enjoyed drinks on the terrace as the sunset on the Alhambra and recommend the airbnb to all.

    Janet 2015-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • As impressive as the photos are, they don't do justice to how beautiful (and spacious) the cave is. The location is wonderful and I doubt anywhere in Granada has a lovelier view than that of the Alhambra from the front terrace. Beatriz is the perfect host and was there to meet us when we arrived, replied to any communications before and during our stay, made sure we were able to make the most of our time in Granada and even helped us book a taxi for our journey home! The cave is the perfect place to relax and enjoy an authentic experience of Granada.

    Paul2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Betty is a warm, gracious and wonderful host. She met us and showed us the apartment and gave us a map with recommendations. She also reserved a taxi for us so we could catch an early flight out Sunday morning. The cave is spotless clean, quiet and enchanting. It is spacious inside--much larger than the other apartments we've stayed in during our 3 weeks in Spain. Perfectly comfortable for our family of 4. The location also was perfect for us. We walked everywhere--through Sacromonte and the Albycin, down to Plaza Nueva and the Cathedral and up to the Alhambra. We would definitely recommend Betty's apartment without reservation and would stay there next time we visit Granada. Thank you, Betty, for being such a wonderful host!

It is a very bright room. The sun comes in the morning and in the evening it is also very luminous because the light is reflected. The house in general has a lot of light because all the windows are from floor to ceiling. Just below the house there is a large park with a basketball court and behind the house there are hiking trails in the bush. At 3 minutes is the highest viewpoint of Granada, from which you can see the Alhambra and the Albaycín from above. There is always parking (white).

Beautiful cave house for rent in the Sacromonte, in the middle path, has two rooms with a double bed in each one. A bathroom, kitchen-living room and two terraces with unbeatable views of the Alhambra.
Staying in our house is a great opportunity to enjoy a stay in an authentic cave house, immerse yourself in the culture and life of a unique neighborhood.
The house is located in the heart of the most picturesque neighborhood of Granada, with magnificent views of the neighborhood and the Alhambra. A quiet place, flamenco and with a lot of history, but not recommended for people who have problems walking as you have to climb up cobbled alleys.
  • This house is a fantastic place to stay and visit Granada (if you don't mind walking and climbing stairs). The view on the Alhambra is incredible. We were very well welcomed.

    Elise2017-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Authentic cave house at the top of the hill in Sacromonte. That also meant some climb - 1 flight of stairs and 2 gentle up slopes but you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Alhambra at your doorstep and the terrace. It is also next to a popular viewpoint so there may be people outside the house but they’re usually in small groups and weren’t noisy, so no impact to our sleep. Charming yet does not compromise on the comfort of our stay. The house is compact yet well-equipped, an experience in itself as the decors oozes Andalusia feels. The very helpful Asun and Francisco rounded up the whole experience. Recommended!

  • WOW! For me this house is the best in all Granada. With amazing view for Alhambra just of your terrace. Beautiful house with very good bedroom. I mean if it's almost 40 degree outdoor you can sleep in cool and comfortable bedroom. Of course house is in heart of Sacromonte full of narrow streets and you have to go for walk there, but trust me it's worth it. Francisco gives us a lot of tips for example like where to eat tapas. If I will be in Granada again I'll choose this house.

    Damian2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Francisco's place sits on the hillside in Sacromonte. Amazing views of the Alhambra. The area is very peaceful, we enjoyed sitting out in the evening with a glass of wine watching the passers by. The house was very nice, and surprisingly cool in the summer heat. I would highly recommend a stay. We were welcomed by Asus who was extremely friendly and kind to us and told us a lot about the area.

The Albayzín district has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1994 due to its rich heritage and historical and artistic heritage. It is a neighborhood of medieval origin, cosmopolitan, multicultural and multiethnic, with an intense social life and equipped with all services (shops, shops, market, bars and restaurants, health center, public transport, sports center, etc.) Which attracts people from all over the world.
  • From the welcome of fresh flowers and fruit to the parting gift of olive oil, Leonardo and Eugenia blew us away! The home is very comfortable and the pictures do not really do it justice. It is a modern home with all the conveniences in a world heritage neighborhood. Some of the features we really enjoyed: -beautiful, spacious independent suite on lower level, great for extended families - under floor heating ( very cozy for winter travelers) - multiple view patios - Fully equipped modern kitchen with condiments, milk juice and baked treats courtesy of our wonderful hosts - laundry room with supplies - comfortable clean beds and linens - safe neighborhood, we left valuables in the house and didn't have to carry things around - awesome location in historic Albaicin. We walked down to the city center and it's an easy 15 min walk all downhill. On the way back up you can easily get a taxi for 5 EUR or bus it. - little market and restaurants within walking distance - quiet and peaceful area with no street noise - hosts live right next door so easy to reach if you need anything. We highly recommend La Casa del Arco which felt like our home away from home in Granada on our first visit to this magical town.

  • Thank you to Eugenia, her husband and son. They were very welcoming, kind and generous. The house was superb and very comfortable. We had an amazing weekend in Granada.

  • Very nice and confortable house in Albacin.

    Gont2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • A truly exceptional property. Very spacious with modern fittings. The images don't do it justice. The property is over 4 floors with the most incredible lower bedroom suite with French doors opening up onto the wonderful gardens. With a great solarium and one of the en suite upper rooms having a separate terrace, this Carmen has everything you could want! Eugenia was fantastic and the fact they are next door meant that anything we needed was with us within minutes. A great house and an even better host. Book this and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Eugenia and if ever you come to London our Abbey Road house is available.

  • A very nice house. Leo welcomed us & showed us round. All clean and just like the pictures. Very well equipped. Fruit, milk, juice and other kitchen supplies were very welcome. Good for sitting outside. The family helped with getting taxis. But anyone staying here should understand that it's a long way from the city centre, 2 bus rides, and the area is high on a hill. Nothing wrong with that, of course, and the Albaicin is full of character.

    Mark2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful, and the owners are great! The owners were extremely accommodating, and I plan to stay here again in the future. Heated floors, full kitchen, and views of the Alhambra from the terrace. What more can you ask for? Also, just a short walk to the city center.

    Rahssan2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly a Casa Muy Bonita en Albaycin!!! Our family of five felt right at home in this beautiful property. It has all the amenities one could ask for and then some. The area is just delightful, but be prepared to walk a lot of hills on stone paved roads if you don't have a car. And perhaps, this is what we enjoyed the most! An ultra modern home in a very rustic setting with amazing views! Thanks to Luis and Leonardo for being such great hosts. They provided tons of information about the area, where to eat, and places to visit. We would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to our friends.

    Ilsa2014-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • The property was very big, clean, elegant and private. Eugenia, her husband and sons were perfect hosts! Their hospitality is great! We would defenitely suggest this vacation home to anyone who is looking for a superb place to stay for a while in Granada. Thank you Eugenia and family!

Magnificent and spacious Moorish house from 1525 renovated with the original materials of the house. It is located in the walk of the sad, to the feet of the Alhambra, in the District of the Albaicín. Daily cleaning service included in the price.
The house originated in 1525, immediately after the conquest, and belonged to a Muslim military man who took the Christianised name of Gavidia Atienza. It was rehabilitated at the end of the 90s using the original materials of the house, such as its columns, shoes, bricks and holding the original cistern that received water from the Source of Aynadamar (Fonte de las Lagrimas). We have tried to preserve the style and atmosphere of an exciting time for us in a city full of charm, charm and mystery. It has three floors and a large terrace and a viewpoint, both with views of the Alhambra, the Sacromonte neighborhood and the wall of the Zirí. There is central heating and Wi-Fi throughout the house. In the GROUND FLOOR is the main living room and dining room of the house, which includes three main rooms, one of them recreating a tea room. In addition, there is the kitchen, which leads to the dining room through a window from the Palace of Zayas and built by the disciples of Eiffel. One of the rooms, the smallest one, is located on the ground floor of the house next to the main patio / living room and facing the Arabian cistern, with a Arabian shower-bath with vaulted ceiling, 135X180 bed and window to the street Pedestrian area of the historic Albayzin neighborhood. The FIRST FLOOR has three bedrooms, all very spacious and with own bathroom, and one of them with an inner courtyard. The first of the rooms has a small private patio full of plants and flowers and an Arabic-inspired fountain., A nice four poster bed of 135x180, bathroom with original XV tiles and bathtub, air conditioning, television, equipment Of music and for the most artistic, a piano of wall. Another room, the largest, has a dressing room and an impressive bathroom with oval bathtub. The bed is 200x200 and has television and air conditioning. The last room on this floor faces the façade, has its own bathroom with bathtub and has a bed of 150x200. It has air conditioning and television. In the SECOND FLOOR is a cozy living room with two main rooms, one of them with spectacular views to the Alhambra. It has Television and DVD. From this living room you access the terrace, flooded with plants and decorated with industrial style furniture. From here you can see the Alhambra almost as if it were playing. You can also go up to another terrace-solarium overlooking the neighborhood of Sacromonte, Albayzín Alto and the wall zirí. On this floor there is another room, also very spacious, with its own bathroom and access to the terrace. It has air conditioning and television.
The house is located on the Paseo de los Tristes, in the neighborhood of the Albaicín Bajo (very easily accessible), declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is next to the Palace of the Cordoba, in front of the Alhambra and very close to the viewpoint of San Nicolás. It is also very close to the city center, walked for only five minutes we reached Plaza Nueva, Calle Elvira, Calderería Nueva and Vieja, the Arab souk of Granada. The Albaicín neighborhood is the most picturesque quarter of Granada, it is of Arab origin and has a Zirí wall, from the previous dynasty to the Nasrid, still conserving the Palace of Dal-Alhorra. It is ideal for strolling, plenty of bars, restaurants and tea shops, and from its multiple viewpoints you can admire the Alhambra and Sierra Nevada. Its streets and squares maintain the same way of life as before, with its traditional shops, and is close to the famous neighborhood of Sacromonte, birthplace of flamenco and the zambra of Granada.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this stunning house. It was a real privilege. Like living in a palace. The views of the Alhambra from the terrace were spectacular. The house well-equipped and just a few steps from the Paseo de Los Tristes, has wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of space for a large group to find privacy. Rakía was very friendly, Victor very helpful and Ascension charming. Thank you for sharing this magnificent house.

    Annie2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Victor and Rakia kindly met us when we arrived, and showed us around the house which has been very sympathetically refurbished. It gave us a real taste of Granada and its history. It has a really wonderful roof terrace with views onto the Alhambra which makes it a very special place to stay. We loved the location.

    Henrietta2016-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The home is exactly like the pictures in the listing, with lots of interesting trinkets everywhere. Location of the home is excellent. However, we were only given 4 bedrooms instead of 5 bedrooms like the listing stated, and one of the rooms doesn't have AC. Wifi is spotty at best.

    Sonia2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic house in a dream spot in a magic place! A kaleidoscope of colours and lights by day and by night. Fully decorated as better than words can describe. We had really wonderful time and time enough also to enjoy this really beautiful house while going up and down the city and its best spots. No regrets only good time!

    Alan2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most incredible house we have ever stayed in. It is actually bigger than it looks in the photos and is like being on a movie set. It was a shame to have to leave it each day to go out!

  • This was a fabulous house - lots of eccentric decorations and touches. It is a proper home that you have the use of. We were there in a heat wave but the roof terrace is wonderful with great views and bigger than it looks in the photos. Mostly baths in the bathrooms but one good shower on the ground floor. It is 100 yards up a tiny Street so very quite but just a few steps from cafes, restaurants and an ice cream seller - the very dark chocolate is sublime....

Charming and cozy apartment in the heart of the Albaicín overlooking San Miguel Alto, a few minutes walk from the Mirador de San Nicolas and ten minutes to the entrance gate to the Alhambra. The apartment has spacious and bright kitchen-living room with double bed, bathroom with shower. Kitchen equipped with utensils, we offer towels, sheets, hair dryer, iron and more. You will love my place because of the location, the neighborhood, and the people.
The best thing about this Studio is its location, just 2 minutes from the San Nicolás viewpoint and in the heart of the Albaicín neighborhood where there are tapas bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a fruit and vegetable market every day, except on Sundays . The studio is located on the first floor, without elevator, of a typical Andalusian house with shared use patio on the ground floor. It has a lot of light and spectacular view to San Miguel Alto and Sierra Nevada.
The Albaycín is a World Heritage Site, for keeping its narrow streets and typical houses, where access by car is very limited. The Albaycín is a neighborhood raised in height, with narrow streets and floors adorned with stones from nearby rivers. The architecture of this historic quarter, a World Heritage Site, preserves and maintains mostly pedestrian.
  • Hellen apartment is a piece of gem in AL Baycin area... My stay in Granada was inhanced by my staying in this little typical apartment. Hellen is wonderful person. she replied to all my messages immediately and she made me feel at home in her apartment. I recommend it without reserve. المكان رائع و في منطقة قريبة جدا من الحوراء و من وسط المدينة لكن بعيد عن الصخب. السكن في الجزء الإسلامي من غرناطة فالشوارع ضيقة و تراثية و هيلن متعاونة جدا.

  • Ellen is quite simply the best host anyone could hope for! She was extremely responsive (often within minutes) and helpful above and beyond what I would have expected. Friendly, courteous, and very reliable... what more could anyone ask for? She made my stay there absolutely delightful, and went out of her way to help me get my bearings in beautiful Granada. The views from the window of the apartment were breathtaking, and its location in historic Albaycin is wonderful. When I go back to Granada next year, I will DEFINITELY only stay in one of Ellen's apartments. A truly wonderful host! Thank you so much Ellen for making my experience memorable :)

    Sherif2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful apartment in a wonderful area of Granada. We only stayed one night, but daydreamed about leisurely mornings drinking coffee with the sun streaming in the windows. Be prepared for some hill-climbing as you explore, but it’s worth it to be off the beaten path and have such a lovely Albaicín oasis. Careful if you try to park in the dirt part of the parking lot Ellen suggests: big old potholes (we got temporarily stuck in one). And do be sure to check out the Fajalauza pottery shop right near the lot—many treasures.

    Caitlin2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our night in Granada, the room is in a great location. Thanks for everything !

    Mark2016-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in this flat: it is big enough for a few days, clean and furnished with all the essentials. The location is very interesting, in the heart of Albaicín, close to the Mirador San Nicolas, but also easy to reach from the main road. The communication with Ellen was excellent, she also gave us very nice tips on Granada, where to eat etc.

    Mauro2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen's place is a wonderfull surprise. The place looks much better in reality than on the internet. Nicer and bigger. We liked the Albaicin neighborhood and Ellen's kind hospitality.

  • A great place in Albaicin. It has a nice view of the Monastery up the hill. Everything was within walking distance, a big plus considering getting a cab or bus could sometimes be difficult in Albaicin at night. Ellen was also a very thoughtful and considerate host who provided great suggestions.

  • This is a great place to stay. It’s in the center of the Albaicin neighborhood and when you look up you see the Alhambra. Everything was nearby such as restaurants, artisan market in the plaza, bars and even a hammam to get a massage and soak in the warm baths. The hosts provide a book listing places to go and things to do. They were kind enough to reserve a seat for a Flamenco show at the last minute. The room was clean and cozy. I highly recommend staying in this place when you visit Granada, you will not regret it.

  • The hosts were extremely accessible and very accommodating to us! At one point we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room and they came within 20 minutes to let us in. It seemed like they were immediately available for anything we needed. The building is beautiful and it's in the best part of the city; a very historic area with great views of the Alhambra. Also an amazing value for the price! I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone; we had a terrific stay!

    Joshua2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The host is very nice and friendly. The room does not get enough light and is a bit humid due to the poor ventilation in the bathroom. The stay is in general positive. The host has many other rooms, if we had done our research better, we would have booked another brighter room.

  • Iván and Pilar are perfect hosts! Pilar greeted my friend and I when we arrived late Friday evening making sure we were comfortable, showing us how to use the keys etc., and told us everything we needed to know about the city! Her recommendations were great and she helped us get Alhambra and Flamenco show tickets that night!! The water heater broke the day we arrived in our piso and they had it fixed by the next day. It was slightly cold but they provided plenty of blankets. And their daughter is too cute :) Iván y Pilar son aficiones perfectos! No dude a reservar!

  • A lovely little appartment in the Albaicin. It is a super cosy, private, clean and comfortable space and perfect for a couple. Also, great location in between the old neighbourhoods of the Albaicin and Sacramonte, right under the Alhambra! A perfect apartment for a cosy base in the city to come back to during the day and for great sleeps at night. Very much recommended

  • We had our own apartement on the third floor of a very nice house in the Albaicin quarter. It was nicely decorated but relatively small. But there was a terrace which was nice for having breakfast or sitting outside in the evening. But it offers no view. Alhambra and city center are very close. The parking was a public spot which was free and in 15 mins walk. The communication worked perfect, we got very detailed information how to get there. We would come again.

    wolfgang2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely apartment and so nicely decorated it felt magical. The area was secluded enough to be quiet yet still so close to the Alhambra Palace you can see it when you step out of the alleyway! The only small downside is the airflow is not so good so it can get really hot and stuffy during summer.

    Magdalena2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay ! We arrived to early for the check-in but the host took our luggages and made everything easy for us at our arrival. Ivan is always asking for news, always letting himself available for help. The flat is as on the pictures and made for two ; the private terrace is ideal and there's also a second terrace in common with all the flats on the third level with a staggering view on the Alhambra. The Albaicin district where the flat is located is by far the most interesting area there is to visit in Grenade and is at the same time very central - 10' walk to the Alhambra, 10' walk to the Cathedral -.

In the evenings you can hear the sound of spanish guitar coming in through the windows! The wifi seems to be shared between flats so not super strong but other than that the place is perfect!

  • Character counts! This apartment has tons of charm & character. The pictures are true. No BS. From the time the taxi drops you off, up the tiny street, into the amazing lobby of the building, you can feel the atmosphere starting to soak into you. The payoff is the suite. Sure, it's small, but each area is functional: good, firm queen sized bed; strong shower in a clean tile bathroom; laptop work area in the sitting room; reading couch with footstool; small balcony with shade; & huge safe wooden apartment door. Ivan met us in the lobby as we self-arrived through the secure front door and carried our 4 bags right the uneven stairs. (Better his legs than mine.) After settling in we walked down the little street to the driving street & whammo - there's the Alhambra above us, lit up with floodlights daring anyone to climb the 2 miles up its 1000 ft of elevation. We were staying in & around a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I still don't quite believe i(URL HIDDEN)Of all the places we've stayed in 3 months of travel, this is in our top 5. So, be adventurous: start with Ivan's apartment - you'll be rewarded . . .

  • Ivan was fast at responding to any queries prior to arriving in Grenada. Once we arrive Pilar made us feel very welcome and recommended a couple of great places we enjoyed during our stay. The listing description is accurate and very good value for money. The moorish theme was very present and smelt lovely. The location was brilliant, a x5 - x10 minute walk from the busier tourist street but closer to Sacromonte Caves, the Alhambra Palace and its gorgeous gardens

Cozy and stylish house, located in the heart of Albaicin, a unique place to wander through its streets and enjoy the authentic life of Granada, taste tapas, its art, its people and its Alhambra.
Granada is a city full of life and Albaicín is the best place to get lost and enjoy the beautiful views of the Alhambra. The house is located in the upper part of the Albaicín, the most authentic place of Granada with a quiet, different and authentic atmosphere. A unique and excellent opportunity to enjoy your stay to the fullest.
  • Omar was very quick with communication. Very charming and authentic home close to city center and only 20 minutes to the Alhambra. We very much enjoyed our stay. Parking is a challenge, but we found more spaces near the top of the hill.

    Lisa2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Omar was very helpful and the small house was tidy and cosy. A real recommendation if you're not afraid of walking uphill!

    Hans2017-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very nice, a very comfortable bed. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean. Omar was very attentive, always responding quickly. The biggest difficulty is that it is a bit distant from the night life, but there are buses that stops very close to the house. About 250 meters from the house there is a supermarket called Coviran.

  • My friends and I had a great time in this appartment, allthough it was a bit small for the 4 of us (there wasn't much space left, but it didn't bother us). It is located in the Albaicín, which is a beautiful part of Granada. The location is really great and there are a lot of cafes and restaurants near the apartment. We really liked it!

    Sophie2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Omar made everything very simple and sorted out our wifi problems after a couple hours. The space is perfect for a couple's getaway and the area is truly picturesque. Great value! Main issue was the lack of kitchen amenities, not much in the way of pots, pans, cutting board, etc and no dryer as listed. But would book again!

    WILLIAM2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous area of town - we loved our stay in Granada. The only thing was that the mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the bedroom and bathroom doors do not close properly - that is the only reason for 4* rather than 5! Very good value.

Are you interested in an experience to remember for the rest of your life? Living in a cave is a very special and magical experience, It is cool in the summer and warm in winter, Ideal for romantic getaways, Or family adventures.
To be inside the earth makes your body relax and your mind expand, you are surrounded by nature and the lovely terrace offers one of the best views in whole of Granada.
Sacromonte ,(sacred mountain), is a very unique and friendly neighborhood and is mix of 60’s style hippies, gypsies and musicians, especially flamenco artists. you can get lost within its maze of magical narrow streets and hills.
  • A truly unique Airbnb experience. The cave was perfect location for a week of relaxation and exploration. As previous reviewers have said, photos dont do the private terrace justice, it has absolutely stunning views of both the mountains to the left and Alihambra to the right. I spent quite a few hours out there. I hope to come back soon!

  • Truly an adventure! Don't bring a lot of luggage as you can't drive to the entrance but bring a lot of excitement as Granada is the most magical place ever. There is so much to do by the home and Chandra is very kind with helping out with ideas of things to do and directions. Also staying in a cave is awesome.

    Molly2017-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in Chandra's beautiful cave home was a lot of fun. It was a great novelty and wasn't too far from the centre of the town if you don't mind a bit of a walk. The area was very unique, lots of cats and a cute rabbit hang around the area which is adorable. The cave was very spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing is it got a bit cold at night but I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem in Summer. Thank you for having us! :)

    Catarina2017-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful, interesting and unique place to stay. Definitely recommend.

    Sari2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This space is truly special. If I were to compare our stay here to a commercial lodging, I'd have to compare it to El Cosmic in Marfa, Texas. It's beautiful and an experience that isn't necessarily for everyone. For me and my friends it was just delightful. The cave is charming and nicely decorated. The kitchen is so cozy and small but has everything we needed and was very easy to use. It was a bit cold at night time for our January stay even with the space heater, but the bedding was nice and warm. And the view, it's really amazing and I'll never forget it. We were received at the house by a friend of Mari Carmen's and she was exceptionally sweet. She gave us plenty of information and instruction and kept it concise. If you appreciate something off the beaten path (yet still totally within reach of all civilization) I highly recommend it.

    Julia2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our little cave experience! It was secluded but close enough to walk everywhere! Really clean, exceptional view , and had everything we needed to be comfortable :) definitely reccomend, but where your runners!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cave with us .

    Molly2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Chandra was very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any messages or questions we had. The cave is beyond wonderful, it has been one of our favorite airbnb experiences. It is cozy, all amenities included, and the terrace is great. The location is perfect, but be prepared to walk up a lot of hills and stairs to reach town (also, avoid wearing shoes without traction--one pair of my boyfriend's dress shoes made walking very difficult for him because of the worn stones). Cannot recommend this high enough--we hope to return someday!

    Hannah2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay at the local cave. The place was exactly as mentioned. Tucked in a quiet corner in Granada and yet accessible to all the tourist sites. Would recommend this place highly.

Private room and bathroom for one or two people in a shared apartment. Availability to use the kitchen, living room and terrace. The apartment is in a very quiet area of the high Albaycin well connected by car and bus with the city.
Very quiet apartment in the upper area of Albaycin very close to the viewpoints of San Miguel Alto and San Nicolás if you are walking (from 5 to 10 minutes) and other areas of cultural interest.
Near the accommodation you will find, viewpoints, tapas bars, restaurants, tablaos flamencos (life flamenco music)... In addition, the apartment is next to a grove area where you can go hiking. Keep in mind that the Barrio del Albaycín is located on a hill and that the accommodation is in the highest area. You can park easily on a street in front of the building.
  • To meet Araceli and Luis is like meeting friends. They are very warm, open, funny ,adorable and great hosts! They really trey to to everything to make your stay perfect!I was sick, when we arrived in Granada.Araceli came to pick us up by car and made tea for me. I felt very much at home in their place. Everything's clean ,friendly and very nice decorated. I would recommend our stay there (hosts &place) with 10 from 10 points!

  • Araceli is a very nice host and her home is very quiet with a beautiful terrace. Everything was perfect!

  • If you're in Granada and this place is available, you are in luck! The apartment is in a really nice location with great views, free parking and it is an easy walk to the central areas. Though the best part is the host! We were made to feel incredibly welcome and looked after. Lots of helpful advice and nice conversation. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Sam2017-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Araceli is a very kind host. She provided us breakfast and space for our groceries in her fridge. Everything was very clean and tidy. We were even allowed to park our car in a garage :) Araceli's apartment is located on a hill and about 30min away from the city center by foot. The bus isn't operating by night so crabbing a cab is recommendable during the night (~6€). Only one point of criticism is the bunk bed. It is to short for tall people (I'm 1,82). Anyways we enjoyed the stay :)

    Peter2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Araceli was an amazing host. My father and law and I stayed with her on an abbreviated stay, and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home!

I want the Arabic Granada, that which is art, which is all that seems to me beauty and emotion Isaac Albeniz How lazily the sun goes down in Granada, it hides beneath the water, it conceals in the Alhambra! Ernest Hemingway
  • Wow. This exceeded all my expectations. My partner and I stayed here for an entire month and it was an incredible and memorable experience. First of all, the house has everything you need. A beautiful kitchen, living space, an extra sofa, laundry, 2 bathrooms, a big shower/bath tub, a beautiful patio, tables and chairs, and it's incredible comfortable. It's also very easy to keep clean. Second of all, the location is truly ideal. It's in the heart of Albaicyn, a beautiful and historic neighborhood. The tours walk right by this house and describe the history and importance of this neighborhood. You're walking distance to amazing bars and restaurants, Sacromonte, Mirador San Nicolas, The Alahmbra, Plaza Nuevo, and San Miguel Alto. It's such a safe neighborhood, I would have no hesitation to walk those streets alone at night. Thirdly, she's very responsive and we had a great check-in and checkout. Everything was as expected, and we had very fast wifi (important for working remote and because most coffee shops and restaurants don't have it). Overall, I cannot wait to return, and recommend this home to anyone considering a trip to Granada. Thank you Natalia for opening your home and hosting us!

    Alyssa2017-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place to stay! I loved it, right in the old Arabic quarter, away from cars and noise but walking distance to everything. As a single female traveller I felt very safe and secure at all times. Lots of room, and the tiny terrace was lovely. Everything I needed was available in the house, which was very clean and tidy. Pablo was always available by text for any advice, and helped with travel arrangements as well as giving advice on tickets for the Alhambra and a nearby show. Thank you so much, I will definitely come back if I am ever in Granada again!

  • Fantastic centrally located (URL HIDDEN) with everything u need. I would without a doubt stay here again on my next visit.

    Claire2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location in the heart of Albaicin, with a short walk to the fantastic sunset views at Mirador de San Miguel and Mirador San Nicolas. Plaza Aliatar is a minute away, and Plaza Larga only five minutes away, for restaurants, bars, etc, as well as a few cafes nearby for breakfast (e.g. Rincón del Chapiz). There are a few walking tour groups that come up the street below; their leaders literally point at the house and say "This is a traditional house"! The interior is really nice, simply furnished but that's all it needs. The balcony is great for cool mornings or warm nights in summer. The kitchen is well equipped (although no oven). Pablo, who manages the property, met me in Plaza Aliatar to show me to the place for check in. This is really appreciated, as it is hard for a newcomer to find anything in the winding streets of Albaicin otherwise. All in all excellent value for money too, can't recommend it enough!

    Lawrence2016-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Natalia's flat was perfect for what I needed for a month. It is bright and airy and has lots of space. Pablo communicated everything clearly and was really helpful during my stay and was easily contactable. The terrace is fantastic- if it had been summer I would have used it everyday! Would highly recommend and the location is beautiful.

    Nichola2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stay one month and we loved it!!! Everything was perfect, the house, the neighbourhood, the terrazza, etc... and Pablo was soooo nice! We didn't met Natalia but the communication was easy :) thanks again we would love to come back :)

  • We spent two nights with our two teenagers in April and we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The apartment is perfect, comfortable, clean and well situated. The decorating is personal and we felt like at home, not in a hotel ! I think that is the way it should be with Airbnb, not only a matter of business. I would really like to say thank you to Pablo for his great welcome. I hope to come back and have a longer stay.

Beautiful house with terrace in the heart of the “Albaicín”. Only 2 minutes walking from the breath-taking view over the Alhambra called “Mirador de San Nicolás” (Bill Clinton’s favourite view). 10 minutes walk to the city centre and Sacromont caves.
The house has three floors. On the first floor you will find the cosy living room with chimney, dining area, and full equipped open kitchen. The second floor has two bed-rooms, and bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a large double bed, and the other has two single beds. On the third floor you will find a large terrace, and other toilette. The terrace is quite large and has outstanding views to the Church of Salvador, S.XVI, and also to the Alhambra and the San Miguel hillside with its typical caves. You will find a barbecue there to chill out and enjoy dinner with a great view and still atmosphere. The house is placed on a very quiet pedestrian street, but only 30 seconds walk from the bus stop, and the touristic train that links directly to the city centre and the Alhambra. Traditional stores and supermarkets are very close, and the access by car is also easy. Our house is the perfect starting spot to visit the balcony “Mirador de San Nicolas”, the Sacromonte, the romantic desperates walk “Paseo de los tristes”, and to the Chinese Climb “Cuesta de los Chinos” that access directly inside the “Alhambra”. You will enjoy these beautiful promenades inside a privileged UNESCO Humanity Patrimony, in a comfortable and quiet mood.
The neighbourhood is quiet. The area is very comfortable to live in as it is placed on the top of the Albaicin, very close to the commercial area (Pharmacy, bakery, supermarket…) restaurants and bars.
  • Lovely city, house and location. Very close to some amazing views and only a short walk to the city centre. Carlos was very accommodating and was quick in replying to any queries we had over the holiday. Would highly recommend.

  • Jose Carlos Merino was a perfect host! He returned my emails promptly, gave excellent directions, suggested restaurants and things to do. Even though his directions were good, we managed to get lost in Granada. Jose Carlos suggested we pay a cab to lead us in our own car to the house in the Albaicin, and insisted on paying the cab fare. Marta, a lovely woman, greeted us near the house and pointed out how to get to plazas, restaurants, the Alhambra, stores, and more. She was very gracious. The house itself is lovely and the view from the third floor terrace is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return with my niece, nephew and our children soon. The people of the Albaicin are most kind as well.

  • Perfect location, right by the bus stop. very clean house. Very spacious. Great for families with kids since there is lots of toys in the house.

  • A wonderfull place to stay in Granada in the albaicin, a very nice quarter of Granada. Everything we needed was there. Espacially the big roof terrace is wonderfull. You have a nice view over Granada and can see the Alhambra. It was grat, that there is an oven, so it was warm in the morning and in the evenong. We want to stay again in this beautiful house, when we come back to Granada.

    Heilke2015-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great house, funky yet traditional, really peaceful but in a thriving part of Granada. There's loads of good restaurants, bars and places to see really close by and the bus stop is right outside if you don't fancy the walk to other parts of Granada. The beds are super comfy (always important for a restful stay) and Jose Carlos along with Marta are very attentive hosts and always on hand by text or email. Plus there's lots of kids toys and general kiddie equipment which makes life that little bit easier. It ticked all the boxes for a weeks holiday in such a great city.

    Lottie2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • I am missing this house in Granada already! Such a great location in the Albaicin, everything we could want, cosy beds, toys for my son and wifi which also came in very handy. Lovely to sit in the terrace in the evening. Would highly recommend and will definitely be making return on our next trip.

    Nicola2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic hosts, and a really great location. We spent two nights here. Jose Carlos was very responsive and informative prior to our visit, and Marta very kindly met us, passed us the keys, showed us around the home and answered all our questions when we arrived. The house is very comfortable, and is perfect for a family. Cosy, well-equipped and well-located - it is only a 20 minute walk to the Alhambra, which was magical. (If you arrive from the airport, take the airport bus to the city, and then take the C1 to Placeta del Abad). This home is highly recommended for a short or long stay in Granada. We'll be back soon, hopefully!

  • We absolutely loved staying in Albaicin! We were so glad to have this house that we could come "home" to. The rooms were the right size, and everything was very comfortable! Accommodation is in one of the most iconic and history of Granada, from there you can walk to St. Nicholas to see its beautiful sunset, enjoy your tapas bars, walking in the low Albayzín, the Boiler reach the neighborhoods Gran Vía and visit the Cathedral, or climb to San Miguel and enjoy views of the Alhambra and Granada at our feet ....
  • Seven of us spent seven days at this very spacious flat. We at no time felt crowded and enjoyed many evening meals on the terrace in October! The flat is just as you see it on the listing. It was very easy to buy groceries near by, but be aware that most shops are closed on Sunday. Miguel could not have been more helpful but was in no way intrusive. We have travelled extensively, however, this was our first trip to Spain and we have certainly fallen in love with Granada. We walked in the local hills(exciting), visited the Alhambra (takes your breath away) but mostly hung out in Albayzin (just magic) or chilled at the flat (peaceful) Don't miss this treat

  • Miguel’s place was great! We had a friendly welcome right away when we arrived. The flat was very clean and nicely furnished. There were only four of us so we only needed two rooms, but it was nice to be able to spread out. The kitchen was nice and having a washer and dryer was also an added bonus for us. The air conditioning worked well and definitely kept us cool as the temps were quite high during the week we were there. Miguel was very accommodating and open throughout the process and I would highly recommend his place!

  • A wonderful house, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Though it wasn’t as close to the Town-centre as some others we had seen (about 15 mins walking), it didn’t matter because it is actually a pleasure to walk in Granada (and especially this part where we stayed, with wonderful houses and gardens all around) and, alternatively, the taxi fare was quite cheap. It was – more than enough – clean, with fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, washing machine and dryer, countless drawers and cabinets, with heating and hot water provided anytime, through an indoors boiler in the laundry room, wi-fi and flat tv and it also had a big veranda in which we didn’t spent a lot of time, but only because of the weather. It was way more than we expected (the photos in the site don’t do it justice at all) and according to the price we paid, and Miguel was one of the friendliest we have met in our journeys and ready to meet any extra needs or answer questions we might have, at any given time. It wasn’t just a house, it was actually a home, cozy and colorful. Very comfortable for a big group (we were 12!) Although we walked a lot in the city during the day, it was great to have such a home to come back to, for a bath or some sleep or just to hang out in the living room. We recommend it without a doubt and, Miguel.... thanks for everything!

  • This was my first ever experience with AirBnb and it was amazing! We had an amazing time and the place was beautiful. It was very spacious and very homey feeling. We all loved to main living area as well as the porch out back. We had no problems with the apartment because it was perfect. It was in a great location because we could walk to the city. It is not the easiest coming back up the mountains but it was a good workout. Granada has been our favorite place so far and a lot of that has to do with this apartment!

    Taylor2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was ok except it was not clean, the kitchen and bathroom cupboards were dirty. Sorry for this comment. But that how it is. Regards Rimmer.

  • The apartment in Albayzin was terrific! Silvia met us at the apartment and was able to help us schedule a dinner with a flamingo show. The apartment was large, clean and very comfortable. The location was walking distance to the San Nicholas neighborhood. If we return to Granada, I would not hesitate to rent this apartment again.

    Dawn2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was sufficiently clean. The only problem was the lack of WiFi. We were supposed to have WiFi, but on arrival we were informed we would not have WiFi during our three night stay.

  • This was a great apartment for our stay in Granada. We were mostly interested in seeing the Alahmbra. The apartment is within walking distance, it was about 30 minutes and some of it was uphill, but we thought it was better than driving. We were also very close to the flamenco dinner and show that we purchased tickets for on line. Jardines de Zoraya was about 10 minutes away. The dinner was very tasty and the flamenco was impressive. The whole venue was very intimate. The apartment was clean and gave our family of 8 enough room to feel comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet. We didn't actually see many people until we walked to the flamenco that evening. The area is very hilly, so be prepared with comfortable walking shoes. We loved it, it was very charming. Silvia and Miguel were great. They stayed in contact with us during the days before we left for our trip. They can get the flamenco tickets for you, but we had already purchased ours online. I will be recommending this apartment to my friends who want to visit Granada. We really enjoyed our stay, muchas gracias Silvia y Miguel!
