Just 7 miles to downtown, the cabin is on a dirt road that dead-ends at a gorgeous private trout club at one end and Waterbury Reservoir at the other. The cabin backs up to 20 miles of state forest with moose, bear and other wildlife. Fish the trout stream across the road. Hike to the Long Trail from the house. The Trapp Family Lodge trails are 4 miles away and it's a 15-minute drive to Stowe Mountain Resort. Backcountry ski or snowshoe right from the cabin. Hike to waterfalls and swimming holes

Hi! I'm a magazine editor who grew up in France and traveled extensively before falling in love with Vermont and meeting my husband here. We have restored two beautiful vacation rental spots here -- our 1850s 2-bed cabin in Stowe and in June 2020 completely renovated a larger, 3-bedroom/2-bath cottage at Lake Dunmore, near Middlebury, VT. Both are set up for year-round living-- serene places surrounded by nature, where you can be at a ski area within 15 minutes in the winter and fish, splash, paddle, hike and bike right out your door in the summer, fall and spring.
