the cottage was perfect for the 4 of us and our dog. the location is brilliant, and we especially loved the patio with the lovely sea view. everything we needed was there, communication with brian was easy and he went out of his way to answer any questions promptly. we'd certainly wholeheartedly recommend a stay here, and hope to be back ourselves another time.
I had a marvellous time at Brian's cottage. The location was perfect - just a short walk to the beach, the town (with WIFI in the lovely library) and the most magnificent sunset views I have ever seen. The house was perfect and my 2 kids loved the bunk beds! The kitchen was very well stocked and the living room was lovely.
Thank you for a magical time - I do hope to come back again very soon!
We stayed in Brian's house for 2 nights in July. The weather was perfect and the house is in a fantastic location overlooking the town with fantastic view of the sea. There is plenty to do in the immediate and wider area. We visited several local restaurants and cafes and explored the shops in Barmouth as well as taking a trip to the Snowdonia Mountain Railway and the village of Beddgellart which are just a short drive away.
The house was nice and clean, convenient parking and Brian was extremely helpful leaving leaflets and a house guide for us.
10 out of 10 - completely recommended.
We enjoyed a nice stay in the cottage. The town and scenery were breath-taking. Brian's instructions were very thorough and he was easy to get a hold of. The neighbours were kind and friendly. The lady a few doors down even came by to make sure we had milk for our tea. Thanks for sharing your place with us!
Brian has a very nice cottage five minutes walking from the centre of Barmouth, a small town at the coast of Snowdonia. It is a great place for holiday in Snowdonia; so many things to do in that area and such a nice place to come home to. It has a beautiful view on the sea and sunset from the terrace. We had the whole cottage for ourselves.
We would recommend it to (website hidden). Brian was not around during our stay, but we've got explanations via e-mail and notes in the house, so this was not a problem at all.
We stayed at Brian's cottage for the weekend, using it as a base to explore Snowdonia national park, the cottage has great views over the sea and is very handy for the town centre.... Brian is down to earth and helpful, would recommend ..............
What a great place to stay. The two storey house has everything you could want including a great view over the sea. It's close to the station so we went on day trips including Portmeirion (the setting for the original "The Prisoner" with Patrick McGoohan).
Behind the house and town there are fantastic hill walks and lookouts.
The place is suitable for any season as it has good heating and we experienced very variable weather even in summer but were completely cozy.
The steps up to the place will keep you fit but the view is worth it!
The photos don't do it justice in my view but see for yourself on (website hidden) Maps where it is relation to the town.
Even though it hasn't got internet there is wifi up there to purchase through BT. I bought five days for 18 GBP and it was fast enough to watch streaming BBC iView.
We didn't get to meet Brian which is a pity but his place is kept very well.
Me and my friends had such a great time at Brian place. The area is lovely, location of the property and views are amazing, enough space for 4 people and all the necessary utensils for cooking... and a really good price!
Brian's cottage is located in a beautiful location. The best holiday home one can expect. We would visit his cottage again . Brian provided us with information leaflets for places around north Wales too. Overall good value for money.
