Wonderful medieval stone tower for 12 guests, surrounded by a lush rose garden and immersed in the peace of unspoilt woods, just 1.5 miles from beautiful medieval Spoleto.Relax by the pool or explore Umbria with its treasures of art, nature and food.
“Torre del falco”, “The hawk’s tower”, is a beautiful, ancient stone tower located on the outskirts of the medieval town of Spoleto, a place full of history well known all over the world for its charm and beauty as well as for the many cultural events, first among all the “Festival of Two Worlds”.
This ancient stone tower has been fully restored in the past years, with a careful eye to maintaining the original looks. The interiors have been totally redecorated in the winter 2008, and a new swimming pool 56 x 16.5 ft has been added to the property.
The special flavor of this ancient building makes of Torre del Falco one of the prime locations in the holiday house rental landscape of Spoleto.
The Tower can accommodate up to twelve people in its beautiful spaces. A large, fully furnished kitchen is located on the first floor; you can decide to take your meals inside or to choice the gazebo on the side of the pool. The beautiful, bright sitting room takes the whole second floor, with its comfortable sofas, gorgeous fireplace and panoramic windows overlooking the pool and the surrounding woods. Each of the 3 upper floors is composed by two double or twin bedrooms and a bathroom, all offering relaxing views of the surrounding country, for a total of six bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the top floor you will find the finest place of all: a cozy kitchen opening on a gorgeous terrace commanding a 360 degrees view of the surroundings. Among plenty of colorful flowers, shaded by the gazebo, you can have your breakfast, lunch or afternoon drinks while admiring the amazing views, or dine in the candlelight enjoying the smooth breeze of the night.
The property also includes two other beautiful, independent accommodations: The Nest and The Falconer, for two and four guests, giving the chance to accommodate parties of 18 guests on its grounds.
Chaise-longues, sunbeds and large sun umbrellas are available around the pool for your hours of relax and suntanning.
Bikes are available if you wish to try yourself for a spin on the hills or into town.
A 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive away there is Spoleto, a beautiful, charming medieval town internationally known for the Two Worlds Festival. Spoleto has a tradition in History and art which goes back to the ancient Roman civilization. You can spend time visiting the castle and the many churches and exhibitions, getting lost in the narrow streets punctuated by artisan shops, discover the Umbrian tastes and flavours in the typical, cosy restaurants, and end the day attending one of the many cultural happenings typical of this town. And when you get tired of human artefacts, you can just walk for hours on end in the surrounding woods and mountains, immersing yourself into the beautiful nature; go for river rafting along the Nera river in beautiful Val Nerina, or for horseback riding along the mountain paths.
You can also explore the many breathtaking towns within less than 30 minutes by car: Bevagna, Trevi, Spello, Montefalco and Foligno; or in one hour you can reach Assisi, Orvieto, Deruta, Perugia, Todi, Cascia and Norcia. Rome is 1h 20’ away by train, and Florence is just two hours by car.

we are a family of 4 and we stayed at the Tower during the last week in August. As probably many people have experienced often pictures are more promising then reality. In our case it was absolutely the contrary! Pictures cannot grasp the stunning and unique atmosphere of this exceptional location. Not only that the rooms and everything inside this tower gives proof of the tasteful arrangements of the whole facility; it is this atmosphere which made our stay such a great experience. This is just a wonderfull place where one can relax and get down again from stressfull times to find the inner balance. Even our "modern" kids were thrilled by the experience of staying at this great place. We would have loved to extend our stay but Beatrice's place was already booked. Beatrice is a wonderful host who has created one of these rare locations where you can find the "muse" to write a book or create art-work.
I can highly recommend te Tower as well as the Falcon for families and groups of people who want to have a nice and relaxing break!
