The Space

Welcome to Casa de la Ceiba!

This magical, eclectic retreat is only a 10min. drive from the historic district and 10min. from Tybee Beach! I've been hosting Airbnb from the very beginning, and it is my pleasure to share with you my spacious, yet quaint, nature-lovers paradise!

"He’s the kind of guy who can find something in common with just about everyone." -Seth Kugel New York Times.

The Dogwood Room, has a new very nice queen bed (9/14/13) This room features incredible natural lighting, Professionally decorated, with windows facing the South & West displaying the beautiful view of the Dogwood tree in front of the house that blooms white flowers every spring. This room has a full closet, dimmable lighting, natural floors, vintage desk & chair great for working and or relaxing in case you want to stay longer :) This room is very large, airy, open, and comfortable.

Cool Air Conditioning & Fast Wifi

This house is perfect for people who enjoy relaxing in the hammock, listening to birds, feeling the sea breeze, and reading a good book :) If you would prefer blaring TVs, and convenience to the airport, this is not the place you will enjoy. I'm very easy-going and happy to share many fun activities:

**Bicycling -- I have a Tandem you can use!

**Kayaks & Canoeing -- Right here from the house, with a boat launch 2 houses away!

**I'm a Boat Captain -- For a small fee, I offer sunset sailboat rides and Remote Island exploring!

**Beautiful Running Trail -- Completely safe, high-end neighborhood.

The house has two guest rooms, sharing 1 very nice upstairs bathroom. You're more than welcomed to use the kitchen. I love having great conversation while making dinner or breakfast with new friends from around the world. There are many fun activities, and great eats in Savannah, and close to Mi Casa! I love being a host and sharing tips and ideas with my guests! I love to keep this house full of laughter and good vibes, this house is very peaceful and magical. I'm a traveler myself, and I love the opportunity to show this amazing city to other travelers enjoying the journey of life.

Interesting Facts of this House:
This is a beautiful tree house built in 1932, making it one of the oldest houses on Whitemarsh Island. This house has been recently remodeled to show off its original all-wood charm and keep you feeling like you are high up in the island forest.

**Next door to an Native American Mound
**Also next door to a civil war battery (there's a mote besides the driveway remaining)

  • Jonathan was a great host! Super friendly and fun. The house was clean, beautiful, and full of interesting decor. We stayed two nights on our first trip to Savannah. It is just a short 12 minute drive into town. There is a fabulous hammock to hang out in on the deck. Thanks Jonathan!

  • Loved Savannah and it was fun to stay at Jonathan's house because it was like a trip into the backwater country talking about alligators and all kinds of fun stuff. The room was really nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The porch was a really lovely place to hangout. Loved the trees draped with Spanish moss and the sounds of the night.

  • What a beautiful place to stay! Clean room, very comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood and fun host. We stayed 2 extra days, because we enjoyed it so much. The Doogwood Room was just right for us. Thanks again Jonathan for hosting us - we'll be back asap.

  • Jonathan has a lovely home that we were glad to stay in during our trip to Savannah. His home is about halfway between Savannah and Tybee beach, making it the perfect location if you plan to visit both places during your trip. Our room was bright and clean, as was the rest of the house. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch during a rainstorm and slept very soundly at night. Jonathan also provided a great breakfast in the morning.

  • Oh my god! This is perhaps the best airbnb I have ever stayed at. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is straight out of a classic southern tale. Not to mention the hosts who are incredible. Not staying here would be a big big miss!

  • I had a great stay at Jonathan's. Dogwood Room is just lovely, lots of light and the bed was super cozy and comfortable. It was exactly the vibe I was looking for, warm and welcoming. It was very serene, to lay in the hammock and read my book, and then take Jonathan's kayak out on the water and explore on my own a bit. There's plenty of parking so don't be wary of bring a car (best to have one if you're traveling around Savannah). Really great stay!
