The space

*Licensed Short Term Rental with City of Philadelphia*
Our home is a wonderful opportunity for those who appreciate the character of old homes. Built in the early 1800's, it is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home (though one room will be used as storage for some of our personal items) in the middle of lovely Rittenhouse neighborhood, central to all with more cafes and restaurants than any other. The house has a beautiful parlor/sitting room with marble mantle and original hand carved plaster molding, there is a sunny family room with 10 foot marble fireplace and beamed ceilings, formal dining room with sculpture and chandeliers, and eat in kitchen with greenhouse type glass enclosure. There is a fantastic roof deck with spectacular city views, perfect for a glass of wine on a Summer night. This home is approximately 2800 sq feet with skylights, leaded glass windows, plaster moulding, arched hallways, 4 marble fireplace mantles, great antique architectural character throughout.

★Bedrooms:
-2nd flr bedroom: king bed, french doors, ensuite bathroom with shower and pedestal sink
-3rd flr bedroom: king bed, walk in closet, ensuite bathroom, recently renovated with marble mosaic tile and freestanding soaking pedestal tub.
-4th flr bedroom: 2 twin beds, dormer window

★Ameneties: Internet, gas, Roku, and cable equipped. Melitta coffee maker, all dishwares needed, gas stove, microwave, spices, and basics. Electric is not included for monthly stays, but biweekly cleaning service is.

★Location: A quick walk to Barneys CooP, Burberry, InterMix, and other shops on Walnut St. Also nearby are countless BYOBs and restaurants or pubs. Nearby all public transit. Easy walk (5-15min) to Gayborhood, Convention Center, China Town, Kimmel Center etc. Rittenhouse Square just a couple blocks away for Farmers Market.

★Parking: there is street parking (meters) and also 2 parking lots and 2 parking garages, all within 1-2 short blocks.

★★★This is our home and we are looking for respectful people who prefer a home stay vs. a hotel★★★

Great space. Great location. Just perfect. My only negative is that you have to be happy climbing lots of steps.

Faye is the most unbelievable host! She accommodated all of our requests and always was on top of things. Her house is as amazing as her - we would say something out of a movie or a design magazine. Further, the house is located in the best neighborhood in Philly - close to everything! It was also the cleanest property we have so far tried on airbnb. Bottom line, a stellar property and a stellar host.

The house was as beautiful as the pictures. the location was better than expected with many attractions in walking distance. If you are going to Philadelphia and want a 5 star resort experience, use Faye and enjoy. You are welcome. The only negative was the parking, but we found a parking lot just one block away. I highly recommend it.

Response from Faye:
Thank you so much, was a true pleasure to host you. For others who may read this, there is parking available within 1 block of any direction from the house or metered parking outside. But you are at the center of all so parking is busy, but there are also about 16 Zipcars available nearby if you are a member and cabs are plentiful.

Faye was an excellent host and her home is beautiful. Perfect place for a party of 5 friends to spend a long weekend catching up. Walk to neighborhood restaurants or cafes or even better, make dinner/brunch in her spacious and comfy kitchen. Highly recommend her house!

Had a wonderful stay at Faye's place in Rittenhouse Square! Faye was very accommodating in allowing for an early check-in as my family was set to arrive earlier in the day. She was very responsive in answering questions about the house and everything was true to the listing. I can't stress enough how nice the house was (plenty of space, nice bedrooms, great kitchen), how perfect of a location it is in (near so many cafes/restaurants/bars, shopping, downtown). The place definitely felt like home by the time we left and we were sad to leave. Next time we're in Philly with a big group, we're definitely coming back to stay here!

I am a feature film costume supervisor who LOVES to travel! Husband is an economics professor who has frequent sabbaticals and summers off, so we are fortunate to indulge our wanderlust. We have a wonderful little boy who has acquired quite a taste for travel and loves checking out foreign food markets. More than visiting the touristic sights, we love immersing ourselves in the culture of our environment.

We are courteous guests and conscientuous hosts, and we hope to meet like-minded people along our way.
