Our home is a wonderful opportunity for those who appreciate the character of old homes. Built in the early 1800's, it is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home (though one room will be used as storage for some of our personal items) in the middle of lovely Rittenhouse neighborhood, central to all with more cafes and restaurants than any other. The house has a beautiful parlor/sitting room with marble mantle and original hand carved plaster molding, there is a sunny family room with 10 foot marble fireplace and beamed ceilings, formal dining room with sculpture and chandeliers, and eat in kitchen with greenhouse type glass enclosure. There is a fantastic roof deck with spectacular city views, perfect for a glass of wine on a Summer night. This home is approximately 2800 sq feet with skylights, leaded glass windows, plaster moulding, arched hallways, 4 marble fireplace mantles, great antique architectural character throughout.

I am a feature film costume supervisor who LOVES to travel! Husband is an economics professor who has frequent sabbaticals and summers off, so we are fortunate to indulge our wanderlust. We have a wonderful little boy who has acquired quite a taste for travel and loves checking out foreign food markets. More than visiting the touristic sights, we love immersing ourselves in the culture of our environment.
We are courteous guests and conscientuous hosts, and we hope to meet like-minded people along our way.
