Maxine was absolutely amazing and she made her apartment a welcoming, relaxed place to stay after the stresses of moving from the north island.
She was lovely about everything and the accommodation was fantastic, with plenty of room and blissfully warm.
If you are planning to stay in Dunedin, I would reccomend staying with Maxine over a hotel, motel, apartment or anything else.
Maxine's flat is so neat and beautiful. The room is well decorated and warm. Most important of all, she is so nice that I felt like visiting a friend of mine. I wish that I could stay more time in Dunedin and, of course, in Maxine's lovely flat. A remarkable experience during my trip!
My partner and I stayed for a bit over two weeks with Maxine in Dunedin, for our first airbnb experience. She's great! We enjoyed the nice clean flat, good views over town, good company, and advice for life around Dunedin. She shared tasty food with us and was very accommodating to our weird schedules, needing some extra storage, etc. Would definitely recommend.
Everything was as stated in the description. Nice and clean room with a big and comfortable bed. Plenty of space to park your car, so no worries. Maxine and her partner were friendly and easy going. We didn't spend to much time with them as we were away from morning till late in the evening, but everything was ok, can't complain. Dunedin is a really cute town, such a shame we couldn't stay longer. Make sure you put Otago Peninsula on your list as it is a beautiful area, just 40 min one way.
Maxine and Greg were very welcoming into their home. The room was very comfortable. Maxine gave great advice on the local area and where to go/eat during our short stay. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Dunedin.
Maxine was very welcoming and we felt relaxed about sharing her house.
Situation for us attending a wedding nearby was perfect as there is a dearth of motels in the area!
The room was just as expected and the bed very comfortable.
