Country Cottage

Cabin - Entire home/apt · Blackberry Inn Road, Weaverville, NC 28787, United States

Come and relax in our quest house. It has neighboring farmland which makes the views from the windows and porch seems much vaster than the three acres it sits on. As our name states.. we are in the country, so you will be able to enjoy peace and quiet

We also have two dogs and a cat you can love on while staying here. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate your pets.
. There are lots of outdoor activities in the surrounding areas, and we are the Brew Capital of the South.

In the Kitchen we supply dish soap and enough coffee, sugar, creamer and condiments for your trip along with fresh eggs from our farm (email hidden) or two.
The bathroom has a towel, hand towel and wash cloth per guest. hair dryer, soaps, shampoo and conditioner are all provided.
Sheets, Blankets and Pillows supplied.
We provide Cable TV and have Wi Fi, a Wireless Internet streaming device with Netflix, Amazon Prime and other Channels giving you access to 40,000 free movies. You can also play games on the TV like Angry Birds.
A universal charger to charge every phone possible is available.

Interaction with Guests

We are happy to greet you when you arrive and answer any questions you may have during your stay. Our goal is to make you feel welcome and give you all the privacy you need.

The Neighborhood

Our goats, sheep and chickens love attention as well as the herd protector, Delilah and Jake our Great Pyrenees. Our farm is being developed to become self sustaining so come and enjoy the herd..

Getting around

We are located 10 minutes from downtown Weaverville, NC and 25 minutes from downtown Asheville, NC. The parkway is 5 minutes down the road as we are located just above the historical Vance Birthplace. There are two ski resorts within 30 to 40 minutes from here which provides access without being in the middle of the often packed accommodations on the slopes. There are many outdoor activities for which these Appalachian Mountains are renown. So if its adventure and exploring you seek, we are right in the middle of it all. If it is a quiet and peaceful recharging you need, we have plenty of that.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful time at Jerry's Cottage Cabin and we would definitely go back again. The area around the cabin is beautiful and very close to Asheville.

  • This was our first experience with airbnb, and everything about our experience exceeded expectations! Jerry and Deborah were warm, welcoming hosts who left fresh eggs and local beer in the fridge and even invited us to celebrate with them and their family the first night we were there. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, the bed was unbelievably comfortable and Weaverville was cute and just a short drive from Asheville. Our future hosts have some pretty big shoes to fill! I would highly recommend Jerry and Deborah as hosts and the country cottage as a perfect little getaway.

  • Our stay at Country Cottage was wonderful! The home is beautiful, and fully equipped with everything we could want - we especially enjoyed the local beer and farm-fresh eggs that Jerry left for us! He was a delightful host, and overall our stay was relaxing, refreshing, and comfortable. It must be said that the bed is one of the best we've ever slept on! We can't wait to go back, and would highly recommend Country Cottage to anyone looking in the area. Less than half the price of a hotel, with far more than double the comfort and charm!

  • Jerry and Deborah were great hosts. They were very responsive to our needs and definitely wanted to make us comfortable and happy. The cottage setting was delightful, with goats, sheep, chickens, and lovely dogs in the barnyard area. We were especially happy to see the baby goats cavorting around the pasture and barnyard areas.

  • We are so glad we chose to stay at the country cottage! It is very comfortable and charming. The cottage is a short drive to Asheville and is nestled in the mountains. Very beautiful drive. The hosts also leave local beer and their eggs in the fridge for guests! How awesome is that!

  • Great place. Beautiful location. Wonderful hosts and hospitality. We celebrated our 20th anniversary here and had a fantastic time. We will do our best to come back. Deborah and Jerry were perfect hosts. The baby goats were sweet hosts as well.

  • The Country Cottage is nestled in the mountains about 5 miles outside of the town of Weaverville. The sound of the nearby creek and the mountain air were perfect for a week getaway. The distance from downtown Weaverville, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is very convenient. Accommodations were very comfortable and the host is very generous & kind. I hope to return!

  • Wonderful place in a charming country setting. Mountain views, goats & chickens, and cozy furnishing combine for a pleasant experience. Jerry was incredibly accommodating. Would absolutely consider again on my next trip to Asheville.

    Response from Jerry:

No Joseph, Deborah could not get them to work but we shall endeavor to preserver.

  • We had such a wonderful stay at the country cottage! It was super cute and cozy and we loved the gas stove and big jacuzzi-like bathtub. The goats and super-friendly dogs in the pasture out back were just icing on the cake. We couldn't have asked for a more picturesque home-away-from-home for our weekend stay in the mountains! Thank you so much -- we will definitely be coming back!!

Hello, my name is Jerry and my wife is Deborah. I am a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist and my wife is still working as a Respiratory Therapist. My current hobby is developing a sustainable goat/lamb farm which is up and running. Deborah speaks German so we would welcome our International guests to enjoy our charming country setting. We love to read, work on the farm, go for motorcycle rides and sometimes just hang out under the arbor Deborah insisted I build for her. So come join us at our castle nestled in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
