I have to say this was a pleasant visit to Tucson. Elizabeth was a great host making us feel comfortable from the time we arrived till the time we departed. The house was tranquil and so peaceful that we did not want to wake up to start our trip. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for comfort. Thanks again Elizabeth.
My family and I are new to Airbnb, and had a fantastic first experience thanks to Elizabeth's hospitality. Her casita was incredibly charming, and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Elizabeth made sure we had everything we could possibly need ( the casita had more than enough towels, blankets, pillows, and cookware to cover all our needs, and then some) and she even provided us with some much-appreciated freshly ground coffee. My wife and I were most impressed and touched with how Elizibeth went out of her way to make my 3 year old son feel welcomed, showing him the fish In the courtyard's pond and inviting him to help her catch a few in a bucket. My son has already been asking when we can visit "Elizibeth at the purple house" again. A special thanks to Elizabeth and her husband for making this trip a fantastic experience!
Highly recommend this accommodation. The Casita is indeed secluded on a quiet street. Elizabeth's interior design skills are apparent. The Casita is at once elegant and simple. Both the bed and the trundle bed are very comfortable. The location was ideal for us. Somewhat central. We found Tucson quite easy to (website hidden) is possible but is limited by space for anything elaborate. The unit is very well equipped. We enjoyed meeting Elizabeth. We appreciated her quick response time and her help with our questions. I hope to return.
Our stay in Tucson with host Elizabeth couldn't have been better . The casita was charming, well furnished and the garden setting lovely and private. We were provided a basket of options for things to do in the area . We were greeted with coffee and a delicious pastry from her kitchen; a personal touch not expected. When we return to Tucson we hope to make a return visit to the casita. Our thanks to Eisabeth who went beyond expectations as a host.
Elizabeth was so welcoming! The guesthouse is beautiful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Tucson. Everything about the guesthouse is very modern, clean, quiet, and spacious. We felt so comfortable there, and with our own easily accessible entrance, we could come and go as we pleased without worry of disturbing our hosts. In addition, the location is perfect for getting anywhere around central Tucson. What a wonderful desert oasis!
We spent 3 days/4 nights in Elizabeth's charming casita and loved it. It lives up to the photos & description in every way. Elizabeth knocked on the door our first night there with a jar of homemade jam and instructions on baking the treats that were in the freezer, so we had a delicious breakfast the next morning. Our only regret is that the unseasonably cold weather (30-40s at night) kept us from sitting outside and enjoying the lovely courtyard & fountain.
The neighborhood seems to be a planned community, with lots of space around the houses, very quiet and pleasant. It was indeed centrally located, no more than a 15 minute drive to everywhere we wanted to go (Art Museum, jazz concert at the university, The Loft cinema, El Guero Canelo for a Sonoran hot dog & churros).
One caution, though: you must have a car. We often travel by train and use public transportation to get around cities, and this wouldn't be the location to do that. Probably somewhere near the university would work better.
That said, if we ever drive to Tucson again we would love to stay at Elizabeth's!
I am sorry not to have been more available,I was in the last stages of editing a brochure for a fundraiser for the Museum of art.
I am a good cook and we rarely go out to eat,so I am always a little stumped as to what to recommend, and what price range?
It is 81 degrees today, sorry we had a little cold spell while you where here
but will ask some friends for some recommendations and compile a list, good suggestion.
Elizabeth was a friendly, thoughtful hostess who made us feel welcome and comfortable. The casita was as advertised and was very comfortable. It was a pleasure staying there.
