With our best friends, we own this and an adjacent apartment in Paris. We bought the apartments over 15 years ago, with the hope of being able to live in Paris part-time when we slow down in our work lives. In the interim, we rent it out short-term, with the help of a close Parisian friend, Amele. We manage all of the booking details, and travel to Paris at least twice a year to keep the flats in tip-top shape.
I've been in local government and the nonprofit sector most of my life. We adore Paris's energy and style - love its food and wine and its walkability. It's bigger than San Francisco, but like SF so much of Paris is about neighborhoods - and even though we go often, we always find something new to discover. And, it's a fabulous gateway to the rest of Europe.
Also, we are very lucky that our apartments are zoned for commercial use, giving us the right to rent them short-term. Please be aware that most apartments offering short-term rentals are doing so illegally, and the city of Paris is cracking down on these. Please protect yourself.
We love talking about Paris and sharing our favorite things - and we're also huge Italy fans, with a particular love for Venice. In fact, we got to know Paris because we had to fly there to get to Venice from SF. We're still working on our French!
Our motto: Celebrate life!
