You will reside in the "Village Saint Honore", a very old and very posh, absolutely charming block in the very heart of Paris. It is the chime of the Saint Eustache church that will gently remind you that it is time to enjoy your breakfast and start a beautiful day, why not go downstairs and buy yourself some of these croissants the Julien Bakery earned its reputation for? You will soon find that you are a walking distance from everything, Pont Neuf, Tuileries, Pont aux Arts, Saint Germain-des-Pres, Beaubourg, Opera Garnier, Le Marais, Montorgueil, Le Louvre, Palais Royal, yet this place is fantastically peaceful and nurturing.
Whether you are into restaurants, upscale fashion boutiques (JC de Castelbajac, Espace Pierre Cardin, VANS...), history, beauty, mind and body development or culture, there will be something for you here! Groceries galore, famous restaurants, beautiful shops and trendy places are the norm here. Set your own pace by strolling the walking streets like and enjoy an incomparable day of indulgence and eye feast!
When you are back from a long day out, and even much later at night, you will still be able to buy some food and drinks at the numerous groceries around to your heart content. A night out can also mean taking a dive with the kids in the near-by swimming pool, having a masseur come and take care of your sore legs, or chilling out at one of the many comfy cocktail bars around, the world is your oyster!
If you are in a romantic mood, a stroll along the Pont Neuf and the Pont des Arts is guaranteed to fill your heart with warm memories. Otherwise, why not sample some delicious food from one of the many take-away places downstairs, with a nice bottle of wine quietly at home?
The place is warm and inviting, it's very bright and airy, and I have designed it to make it as welcoming as possible. Here you will recharge your batteries in no time! The bedroom is fantastically quiet even when the windows are left ajar, and the living room is facing south and very sunny. Accommodating up to 4 people (best is 2), the apartment is endowed with comfort and unobtrusive practicability (a bedroom with twin beds, a living room with a pull out for 2). Bring your sweetheart here and memories of a life time are guaranteed!
This building is filled with history. Firstly, it is a classified monument (a beam in the apartment up mine on the 5th floor shows 1636. The caves are a bit over 1,000 years old and they are impressive! We used to have a corridor running underneath the street with a connection to the basement of the building facing ours, but unfortunately, it was sealed a few years back, the wall of bricks can still be seen in the cellar.
On the 10th of May 1610, the beloved Henri the IV, after being stabbed by Ravaillac, was transported in front of the apartment to "Le Bourdon d'Or", an "apotheque" (chemist and alchemist back then) for an emergency treatment, before being taken to Le Louvre where he passed away.
That building can be seen from the apartment where a couple of benevolent ghosts might at times be encountered (2 men, a potbellied 60ish one, and a 30ish slender one, elegantly dressed up). Back in the 17th century, they used to make candles for Versailles castle. They are well meaning and behaved, there is no need to be scared if you spot them, they cannot, and will not harm you, they are just curious of what happens with the place they love so much (just like me).
The building cannot accommodate a lift as it is too old. The apartments here have high ceilings and this one is on the 4th floor (plus ground floor). Keep this in mind when packing your luggage!
Taxi from and to Charles de Gaulle Airport 45 minutes, 55 euros. Metro stations: Louvre, Chatelet-les-Halles, Pont Neuf. The RER B will take you to Orly or Charles de Gaulle Airports in no more than 45 minutes, when they are not on strike! (check RATP access to airports here: world wide web, dot, ratp, dot, fr/en/ratp/r_61596/access-to-airports/)
Guests have access to the whole apartment, TV with selected satellite channels, complimentary welcome amenities (coffee and tea tray, toiletries, slippers) and free Wi-Fi access.
They might request special meals, amenities, flower arrangements or bottles of wine.

Good Vibes and Good Behavior
Be considerate of our neighbors, no parties late at night and no noise in the stairs, no garbage sitting outside of the doorway, no candles.
Either you'll find a welcome folder with information about the apartment and how things work here (washing machine, idiot box, phone, WiFi pass, boiler (just kidding)...) and neighborhood, or I will send you an email with all this info. Do not try to break or force anything, as stuff usually does not respond well to that kind of treatment.
I will email you the arrival instructions two weeks before your check-in date and I will also ask for your travel details to plan the check-in and check-out. Please feel free to ask for any additional information you might need.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in and Check-out times are flexible, but if the flat is booked by other guests we will depend on their schedules. In general, if there is a departure and an arrival on the same day:
check-out by 11:30
check-in at 14:30
If you require an early check-in on the morning of your arrival, I would advise you to book a day earlier to ensure the flat is vacant when you arrive, and in such a case, the late/early check-in fee is waived:
Late/Early check-ins (from height in the evening to eight in the morning local time) incur a 20.00 euros fee directly payable in cash to the person trusted with the keys.
Please provide your flight/train details after the booking is complete so I can make arrangements and make sure someone will be able to welcome you. Please be on time, arrival after 30 minutes later than the announced arrival time, charges of 15.00 euros shall apply per hour of waiting time.
Please inform me if you need to make arrangements to leave your belongings somewhere during the day. I will do all I can to help.
The host is responsible for insurance of the property ONLY – All other insurance, being accidents - inside or outside the apartment - health, cancellations and / or personal belongings is the guest's responsibility.
I love pets. Well cooked. Seriously, I love animals, and this house saw a lot, they're always welcome.
Spread the love!
Trippy hippies and flower power rule! If you were at Woodstock. if you were born on the summer of love, dress with Hawaiian shirts or are simply groovy, baby! you'll get a spacial treatment!
Following some visitor's recommendations, I have upgraded the house linen to what is been used in 5 stars hotel, including pillows, bath towels, bathrobes, slippers, and some toiletries.
Food and Beverage
When you arrive late at night or early morning, it might be nice to have something in the kitchen just waiting for you to open and relish on. If you have specific needs / wants, whether it is a bottle of champagne, some fresh fruits or some delicious food, just let me know, I will do my best to fix you something.
Located in a good location but up many flights without lift. Tough if carrying up big bags or suitcases. Lively street so can be loud at night. Convenient grocery stores/patisseries nearby. Also close to a number of metro stops. Good amenities.
Thank you for another welcoming, comfortable stay in your lovely apartment - it's beginning to feel like home! Will be back again next visit to Paris!
We had a great weekend in Paris. This apartment is in a great location, walking distance to many great sites and public transport. Communication was good in the lead up to our visit. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of room for the three of us. Like most apartments in this area there are a lot of stairs. We were aware of this and as we travel light it did not bother us. We would stay here again in the future.
The host's manager went out of his way to greet us although we arrived late because of train delays. The apartment was as advertised. It was also clean and functional. The apartment was so centrally located to all the key sites to visit in Paris. That was its best feature.
