A secluded spot at the end of a dirt road, this space is ideal for a quiet writing haven, an artist retreat, or a place to unplug. This cabin/house hybrid is located in the foothills of the White Mountains with hikes & ski spots minutes away, a 10 minute drive to the Marshfield School of Weaving, 30 miles north of Dartmouth College, and far from city noise. We've got a big front porch waiting for you.

The space
We sit on 2 acres of wooded land, with a long walking & snowmobile trail that connects our property to a northbound rail trail. There's a fire pit, a pergola to sit under, and a big porch for guest use. We do have neighbors that you can see in the winter, but still secluded from.

There is one enclosed bedroom and one open loft guest bed upstairs that is still private with a barrier wall, but not officially closed in as a traditional bedroom would be. We also have one pull out couch in the living room.

Please note that while we don't discourage anyone from coming (we've hosted all sorts), we have had guests make note that this is not a "child proof" space. It is our only home, so not all breakables are stored away due to our limited storage space. Your entire family is welcome, but if you are unable to supervise young children, this might not be an ideal fit for a restful getaway. We understand that accidents can happen, but with the frequency of items breaking we reserve the right to charge for broken items that need to be replaced. Thanks for understanding!

Other things to note
Please note that pets are welcome (we love, love, love our pets!), but are not permitted on furniture so that we can maintain a zero-pet-fee policy. One large dog bed will be provided should you need one under the upstairs bed.

Neighborhood highlights

We are located in a small, rural neighborhood just off of Dartmouth College Highway / Route 10 at the foot of the White Mountains. Neighbors can be seen, but are separated by trees. One portion of the property is lined with a snowmobile trail, which is a shared trail that connects for miles north when followed.
